I’ll never again WISH I had my financial calculator with meThis App does everything my HP10bii does AND it keeps track of certain previous calculations. I prefer the app over the calculator for running amortizations in particular, because I can see the entire schedule all at once instead of just one figure at a time. The only advantage the stand-alone calculator has, is that you can use it for proctored tests, whereas you obviously can’t just use an app on your phone for that. I recently used the app during negotiations for a new car purchase and saved myself over $4k in the process, by not just trusting the dealer to do the calculations. The dealer just wanted to provide me with the selling price and the monthly payment. Having this app in my pocket allowed me to know ALL of the terms, to call BS on a misquoted interest rate, and to be certain I got the best deal possible all the way around..Gina_HallVersion: 4.9.7

LegitThis calculator is great. I have compared it to my actual HP 10bii and the answers are the same. I noticed some of the other reviewers mentioned that their answers were off by a couple hundred or thousand dollars. I had this problem when I first downloaded and thought the calculator was trash. But then I noticed that the Payments Per Year (which is visible right under the answer display) was set to 12. I believe the HP 10bii is factory set to 1 Per Year. You can change this setting by selecting the three lines in the upper right-hand corner, clicking Settings, and just typing in 1 for Payments/Year. After I changed this setting, my answers matched exactly. Additionally, make sure your display is set to more than one zero for intermediate calculations. Your answers will be off by a couple cents or dollars if you are rounding up intermediate calculations while working out a problem. You can do this by clicking a number (for example, select the number 4 for four zeros to display) then click the Orange button and then the Equal sign and it’ll display your selected number of zeros. Where do the calendar function go?I used to use the calendar function, difference in days, etc. every week to write contracts and track expiration dates in them. Need it back. Love the app. But Share is brokenIt’s a great app and is easy to use. But I recently tried the share option on my iPad and iPhone X and when pressing the share button it just hangs and then the app dies. Great app!I don't rate 5-stars often. This app just works, and is exactly what I need for my work. It has become my go-to mobile calculator, and I've tried out many. I use the finance calculations, especial cost/price/margin, everyday in my work. I checked the functionality of the RND button that another reviewer dinged the app for, and it works. Some of the functionality of the app is a little odd, an HP thing. I had trouble figuring out some other functions, and actually found a sequence of button presses that would crash the app. I emailed the developer, and within an hour had a link to the full HP manual for the calculator that I downloaded, and a request from them on how to replicate the crash so they could fix the bug. I Love this API love this AP. It can solve any financial problem I need. I use it daily for financial planning and as a regular calculator. The numbers printed above the PV, PMT, FV, I/YR and N keys are great. I noticed a review claiming an incorrect calculation. After reading the review it looks like the user had the decimal place setting to two places and was expecting a result with 3 places. I had this problem too but found that the number of decimal places can easily be re-set to whatever you want and there is a terrific help section that will explain how and answer many other questions as well. Great app!So convenient to use this iPhone app vs buying and carrying around a separate HP. I downloaded it for a class where we used it, and it actually has WAY more features than the actual HP 19Bii! (Not to mention the cost is super competitive compared to the actual handheld calculator, and way more handy). Downside is that most instructors' demos are not familiar with this app, and you have to learn all those extra features and quirks on your own. That's ok for me. The developers very clearly extended the app WAY far beyond the calculator, and now it performs like a rudimentary spreadsheet. Pretty good. No paper tape mode.The calculator is pretty good, although the graphics are not nicely designed to uses an everyday calculator. A little tweaking of the sizes of the fonts would help. A great app for non-math majors!I was hesitant at first to even get a calculator that looks so complicated, but once you learn what the symbols mean, it's pretty intuitive. ExceptionalThis app is an amazing value. I use a HP 10 Bii every day for work for the last 3 years and will easily see this replacing it in every instance other that multiple calculator work at my desk. Though that being said the saved calculations feature may prove to replace that as well.
