Absolutely incredible app.I’ve tried many, many budgeting apps & I can honestly say that this app provides the most insightful information, and in the most customizable and organized way. It’s incredibly user friendly, and works flawlessly. Giving this app 5 stars despite 1 small feature request I have. Often times, when I shop, I buy grocery, household essentials, snacks, etc. All of which I like to track separately. However, then inputting the transactions, you need to enter each one. So the amount for grocery, amount for supplies, amount for snacks, etc. are 3 separate entries. I think the app should allow you enter one single entry- for example a $100 store trip. Then upon clicking the entry, you can edit the amount you spent on different categories. Then those items can be added on just like any other expense on the pie chart, without needed so many entries. If I go to the store once, but bought 5 different category items, I’d much rather see one entry rather than 5. It looks cluttered & makes me subconsciously think I’m making 5 transactions. Great for the MoneyMoney Manager is a decent money and account tracking program for the money. The free version is limited but functional, but the purchase addition unlocks additional features and expands it’s capabilities. It was only $5.99. It’s a lot cheaper than Quicken, and the one-time purchase aspect of Money Manager makes it superior to Quicken in terms of cost. Quicken is much better in several areas but it is very expensive. Here are the two improvements that I think Money Manager should make: (1) Allow it to sync data between your PC, IPad and Smart Phone. Current it doesn’t do that and that surprised me when I made entries on my smart phone that did not sync over to my I-Pad. You have to choose one device to use. (2) Allow Split transactions for purchases so that one entry can have multiple categories of expenses. For example if you shop at Walmart and buy groceries, pet food, and health and beauty products on the same receipt you should be able to allocate dollar amounts for each category for the total purchase. Money Manager doesn’t do that (as far as I can tell). My final comment is that Money Manager isn’t intuitive and it takes a bit to get used to using it and understanding how to use it. Getting the program to load a backup file is very confusing because it never really gives you the upload option, it only uses the words to backup. Very confusing, but it works. Nice enough but…The app is nice enough kudos for what has been created. I know it’s a lot to design and implement an app that has the features it does have. Just a few missed features…shortcomings. 1. The app does not sync in the cloud from one device to another on my account (iPad <-> iPhone) I have to backup and then import to the devices. Boo. 2. On the transaction ledger screen you can’t sort the transactions by date visually, dated transactions are grouped together but only sorted visually in the calendar view not daily. You can’t even set it to sort ledger by date as a setting. Drives me crazy when I see the 02’s after 08’s date (the 2nd after the 8th). 3. Since they don’t have a Mac version (just web access) and you are limited what you can do from the Wi-Fi website, which they do eluded to, when u do turn on ‘Computer Manager’ (which is just web access from your device) you have to leave your device in the app settings page so you then you can not do anything from your device in that application while you have the computer Manager turned on. You have to quit. It’s easy enough to figure out how to use the app the Stats chart is nice and the ability to customize the accounts both expense and income but those simple features really need work. Also, the web version fields are cutoff and looks more like a poor Excel report version. Wonderful for me!I downloaded the free version 3-4 months ago and quickly realized I had too many accounts/cards to use the free version. As I liked what I was seeing and it was a highly recommended app, I just went ahead and got the paid ad free version. I have really loved this app! I have a lot of miscellaneous credit cards for different benefits/cashback and I sometimes am overwhelmed keeping track of the balancing and all that especially considering there are some I use a lot less than others. I also worry about not catching fraud since I’m not always in my accounts. I track my spending right away with the app (unless I’m being lazy) and then every so often I go take a look at balances and compare them to my accounts, make payments, etc. I don’t really have/use a budget at this time, but I really appreciate that I am getting a log of how much money I’ve been spending and towards what as I start to plan for different life changes and maybe eventually use it to guide my budgeting. Would completely recommend! I think if I had to point any “downfall” out it would just be that sometimes I wish I could use another device like my iPad or even a computer with the same data. Of course I can get the app on my iPad but it would be a manual process to get the data off my phone into my iPad and then I’d have to do it again to get it back on phone which isn’t worth it. Has learning curve, but simply perfectIf you are looking for something that doesn’t sync with your banks and collect that info, if you are willing to put in the manual regularity of adding transactions and balance updates, and if you willing to over come a learning curve, this app is for you. It’s the perfect semi-advanced, on-device budgeting software I have used. (Rating below is not a metric of how good something is, but rather it’s a level of how much it fits the quality) Simplicity: 7/10 They have a transaction page, a page of your financial accounts/cash, and a stat page for quick review of expense, income, and budget. There are no extensive tools that can project financial health, nor does the app truly connect to the internet (I think you can sync the file save on iCloud). It’s an on-device management app that shows you a little more than just how much you spent and how much is left. Learning curve: 4/10 There is no real tutorial. It’s sort of play around and find out. Still intuitive, but still a lot to figure out. Data analytics: 6/10 Gives the basic info, but no AI, fancy calculator, or models. Awesome!This is probably my favorite app on my phone. I love all of the graphs, budget, options, and the way it looks. It literally gives me everything I need and it breaks it down so well. I’ve tried multiple apps and this one by far was the best. If I had to pick one thing I would change, or add I should say, is adding the shareable feature. My wife would like to keep up with our expenses but there’s no way to sync an account to view it from multiple devices. I love the fact I don’t have to sync it to my bank account, but I would definitely be in favor of having to log into an account or having something to where you can sync it to another person or device. If I could have it to where I put the transactions in and it sync with my wife’s phone, it would be absolutely amazing! Great app, maybe a few suggestions for it to be better?Great app! I use it every day and find it very useful. That said, there are a few features that would make it even better: ~ I wish transactions could be split into multiple categories instead of being locked to just one. ~ When opening a specific account, it would be more convenient if it defaulted to the current day instead of the end of the month. ~ I really like being able to see future recurring transactions—it helps me know where I’ll be at month’s end. I know there’s a recurring transaction setting I can turn on, but it only projects one month ahead. I’ve even gone so far as to manually enter transactions out through the end of 2026 just so I can plan ahead. It would be a huge help if the app could project 6–12 months or more automatically. ~ It would be great if the app could integrate with tools like Zapier. For example, I’d love to have transactions automatically synced into Google Sheets in real time. Exporting to Excel works, but I don’t use Excel, and exporting only helps with past data, not ongoing budgeting. Since I understand bank connections aren’t available for security reasons, this kind of integration would cut down on duplicate manual entry for both personal and business use. ~Last, is that I wish that info could automatically sync to my wife’s phone on the app. It would be very helpful for both of us to be able to be logged into the same account in the app and both update transactions and have it automatically update on the others phone. Best Expense Tracker — Just Needs Currency & Bank Integration ImprovementsI have tried many budgeting and expense-tracking applications over the years, but Money Manager by Realbyte Inc. is truly the best among them. The interface is clean, intuitive, and very reliable. Very easy search option and much more. I was so satisfied that I purchased the ad-free version. After three years of use, I moved to another country and began facing some limitations. I am unable to change the primary currency. Also, unable to set a different currency as the default option for daily new entries. For users who relocate internationally, currency flexibility is extremely important. Additionally, I am unable to fetch data directly from my bank, which would make tracking expenses much more convenient and efficient. Because of these issues, I explored several other applications, including rocket money, Spendee and Wallet, and even purchased lifetime subscriptions for two of them. While some of these apps offer a more visually modern and entertaining interface, they lack the smoothness, simplicity, and overall ease of use that Money Manager consistently provides. I also tried a few other apps, but none matched the stability and user-friendly experience of Money Manager. After about six months of trying alternatives, I ultimately returned to Money Manager because it still delivers the best overall experience. My sincere suggestion to the developers would be to consider adding: • Direct bank data integration • The ability to change the primary currency • The option to set a different currency as default option (if not to be set as primary) for daily entries If these features are introduced, this app would be absolutely perfect. Why am I still getting Ads?I paid for upgrade because i love the app. First of all, I love the app. I love the customization. Takes some practice but once you start tracking and customizing the overall picture of your financial situation becomes more clear. My gripe is i paid for the premium and ads still pop up, i have to watch for a whole minute right in the middle of me tracking and inputting data. Unique and Functional App. Simply the bestI used to have 20+ apps available in the App Store, and one was related to the budget. This app is the best application that I have used thus far. The visuals, functionalities, and every single detail and possibilities are incredible. I never found any easy way to control my budget that involves several incomes and expenses coming from different sources—the charts, imports, export, etc. I never was so excited to add manually anything related to my budget. STILL NO SYNCING!!I am a fan of this app. It does almost everything I need it to do. But I’ve been waiting for FOUR YEARS for two features that I believe should be standard in an app of this type. 1. Split transactions - If you’re “really” budgeting this is a requirement. For example, if you shop at Costco you can buy toilet paper and hamburger. These are two different categories, Household & Groceries. This app STILL does not allow me to split a single transaction into two categories. I have to manually create two unique transactions to correctly budget these items. 2. Data Syncing - How is it in 2024, when your app’s been available for 5+ years, you STILL have no syncing whatsoever? I use this primarily on my iPad because of the larger interface. Thus I cannot use it on my iPhone because there is no data syncing across devices. To make things more frustrating, they’ve recently release a NEW app called CalcBox. Please finish developing ESSENTIAL functionality for your “flagship” app before spending time on secondary apps. Amazing AppI absolutely LOVE this app! I have gone through multiple trials of a ton of other apps (EveryDollar, GoodBudget, Pennyworth, Budget, Monefy, Mint, Simplifi, Buddy, Money Tracker, YNAB, Truebill, Weekly, Spending Tracker, Daily Budget) and each was missing a feature here or there, or there was too much of what I didn’t need. This one has EVERYTHING I want. It has a monthly view, overall view, daily view, cute icons (because that is important at motivation for me), budget setup and view, and actual expenses checkbook section so you can see where you are at exactly right now; and you can see how you are doing with your budget. The app nicely and logically separates them for you and yet it is still so cohesive. This app’s major strength is at providing a wholistic view of my main account and the relation of budget vs actual to each other in a clear, concise, and pleasant format. I like how this doesn’t link to bank accounts. I do not like linking my accounts to any app as I know a lot of people do. I feel like this is the watchdog on my other accounts. If I spend $20 at a restaurant and put a $4 tip down and enter this into this app, my bank statement better reflect $24. I’ve caught it a few times where the tip changed from what I entered on a receipt. If there is an automatic link where is uploads the amount charged, I am less likely to catch errors. Other AMAZING cannot live without function- for every transaction you can add a picture of your receipt or of anything. This is awesome because I no longer have to keep hard copy receipts. The only thing I would add to this app is a little checkmark box beside each transaction to check when it has been matched with the bank statement. My workaround is to add a checkmark ✅ icon next to it for now. No biggie since it is perfection everywhere else. Intuitive and it reflects how I think about money.Really intuitive app. I tried a lot of apps before and either I don’t like their subscription model, their app or how they think about the flow of money between accounts. This app really is as close to perfection as it can get for me. Really, really close!This app is very well thought through for the experience and things that matter. We use this app to keep personal expenses separated in otherwise a joint finances setup in our family. Works great. PerfectionThis app is the absolute best for manual entry accounting, expenses, and budgeting. Really Helps!This app is great and works really well for my purposes! Love this app + i have a suggestionThis is such a great and simple budget tool! Exactly what i needed and wanted! The only thing is if in an update you guys can somehow add a link together between the categories. For example; i went to Target and bought food and a gift for a friend. Need a new UII have been using this app for 3yrs and it’s time for an overhaul. The user interface needs refreshing features, new graphics, the latest financial features including percentage gains weekly, quarterly and annual growth of wealth. Maybe rated growth projections? Good but still needs workAs far as manual expense trackers go this is better than most but still it takes too many taps to enter transactions. I should not have to select a payment method every time I enter an expense! Either add a setting for a default method or at the very least remember the one from the previous transaction. The best so far, but...There’s still a lot of room for improvements. Like the functionality, wish the account linked on multiple devicesI use my iPad and iPhone interchangeably for the most part. Definitely do shopping on both. Easy to operateIt’s very hard to find a good Money Mgr. these days and I like this one because it reminds me of the old Microsoft money program that used to be my favorite. Simple and easyThis is great for me as a college student to figure out how much I usually spend (so I can then use the app to set a reasonable budget). English is not their native language based on the grammar of the Help screens and they are not the most receptive to suggestions but they are trying. I like the app except for no automatic syncing between devicesThere’s lots to like about this app. The only issue is with syncing; rather the lack thereof. In order to sync your data from one device to another; this is what you must do: 1. Backup to iCloud. 2. On the other device, install that backup. 3. Quit and restart the other device to install the backup. This effectively syncs to that point in time. I know nothing about programming but I don’t understand why there is no automatic syncing like other apps because there is iCloud access. This is one of the better expense apps…NOT ANYMOREUpdate - I was forced to find another app because of the changes with entering transactions and incorrect balance calculations. Trans were essentially “locked” and that you couldn’t adjust them. I no longer use this app and have found a similar one that that works better. I paid for the full version and I like it enough to move from another app I'd been using for 3+ years. There are a few improvements I would strongly recommend to make it better and more user friendly. 1) The repeat setting should allow user to provide an end date. Otherwise, the transaction will be entered automatically and will have to be deleted manually. The only way to stop is probably to delete there repeat setting but I don't know if that deletes the transactions already entered and I don't want to have to go back to re-enter everything. 2) It automatically defaults to the transaction tab and I want to be able to set my default is when I open the app. Example, I really love seeing what my balance is after entering the transaction so I'm always navigating to the Accounts tab and a specific account. 3) Would love to see a "Bills" tab so I can keep track of when my bills are due easily and easily create transactions. Not looking for the ability to actually pay my bills here as that integration has never been reliable with ANY app due to the securities from the financial institutions. Just looking for a way to enter my bills within the app only. 4) Integrate Dropbox as a backup option. Otherwise, this is a very solid app which I'll continue to use.
