Decent app but RADAR isn't workingI have been using the LITE version of this app for over a year, and I have been very satisfied with it. It's very comforting when there is a loud thunderstorm to be able to pull out this app and see that there are NOT any tornado warnings in my area. I recently upgraded to the "plus" version of the app, as well as buying both of its in-app purchases. The Weather Radio works well, but the "Animated Radar" completely doesn't work. When I click on the "Radar" button, nothing shows up on the screen except the map. In trying to make it work, I tried playing around with the "transparency" and "speed" settings. I tried restarting the app. I tried restarting my phone. Nothing worked. I paid the $0.99 plus tax for the upgrade, and it was a waste!.Version: 4.14
Great app!!!I am a NWS trained spotter and this app is awesome!!! The ability for users to report tornadoes and hail activity AND to include a picture is a very useful tool to help bolster public safety!!!! I grew up in Texas and severe storms there are commonplace, but here in the northeast, they are rare. There is very little in the way of public notification about really severe weather (limited severe weather sirens) so this tool is VERY useful in getting the word out, sometimes even BEFORE the NWS issues a warning. In June 2011, tornadoes popped all around the northeast and users of this app reported a tornado about 15 minutes before ANY warning was issued. I wasn't using the app at that time, but in the history it shows that a user reported the tornado before the NWS!!! Unfortunately, the warning didn't get passed on early enough to prevent loss of life, but as more users come online, hopefully we can limit the loss of life and injury due to severe weather!!!!!.Version: 2.4

Oklahoma TornadoesTornadoSpy+ did a great job last night during the Oklahoma storms. The app includes animated radar by default thats available from the main screen, but the upgrade is well worth it and has many different types of radar that helped me track the storm. The push alerts were also handy and I was able to receive alerts even when the app was closed. The combination of user sightings and official NWS sightings make this app a great purchase. Last week in Tulsa, the user sighting actually came before the official NWS sighting..Version: 3.3
One of, scratch that, Its the best !!Great app and a fantastic way to stay informed. Its a must own for any weather or tornado information junkie. I purchased a Note 2 and regretted it instantly after finding out this is an Apple only app. Within 3 days I purchased an IPhone 5 and couldn't be happier watching the Note collect dust. This app is the sole reason I decided to replace the Note after days of ownership. I won't make that mistake twice. I should add, I have roughly 350 apps and 30ish are weather/radar related. Pretty Awesome.Still kinda trying to figure out some of it but very reliable, I must say. I can get as wide of an alert area as I want, and the sightings map is GREAT! Yesterday I didn't even know the weather was threatening like it was until this app told me a tornado had touched down in Arkansas which gave me PLENTY of warning that bad weather was approaching. My only complaint is that the US radar loop map is kinda small and hard to see. Other than that, a FANTASTIC app!.Version: 4.5
Nice and reliableA week ago we had bad storms in East Ohio, we never have tornados, no towns around here have sirens and we hardly hear warnings, but the storm that went through dropped a tornado that was only strong enough to do some roof and tree damage, but after seeing rotating clouds for 10 minutes, no warnings were heard and this app, someone reported it. And the local news said it was just wind damage, after hundreds of people saw the tornado..Version: 4.15
App supportI love the app on my iPad! I paid for the upgraded version on my iPhone but when I try to set up email on settings I can't save b/c the keyboard is in the way of the save button! I've tried swiping the keyboard down to remove it and I've tried to scroll up on the page but it won't work while App is open. The save button will not show! In the tutorials you don't type in an address or you would have see the issue. Please fix this or refund my money!.Version: 3.3
Useful AppAlthough I live in the extreme Northeast, where tornados are rare, I do have family in other areas of the country, and it is useful to know if they are under threat. Also, we DO get the occasional hailstorm, and an advance warning will be helpful in making sure our cars are in a protected spot..Version: 3.0
