I would however like to suggest that the date and time countdown remain on the top right hand corner instead of disappearing when I touch the screen to move around the globe to view the seismic events. Amazing DataFollowing Dutchsinse for years, I was always disappointed that I couldn’t follow along on my Mac. This is truly the next best thing. There’s a detailed tutorial which is a great help in the first setup and a great FAQ for new users. Most importantly, I can choose my data feed. Very nice!Took me a while to figure out how to get globe spinning on its own again. Was trying to spin with finger on globe like google earth but in this app you touch and swipe above and to the side of the globe. It's written in the help section but I didn't notice it was for setting it in motion again. Anyway.... I like the app. One peeve... In settings, if you turn on the sound and close the app - the next time you open it the sound is off. All of your other settings haven't changed but the sound is reset to off. Great app.Graphics are vivid and present an incredibly clear image of seismic activity that is updated about once ever 2 minutes. The tools provided allows anyone without an education in seismology a very novel introduction into understanding what occurs during any seismic activity and further why it occurs. The knowledge base that the app doesn't cover is linked out to the best sites with in depth information that updates and as well as educates. For y own interests, I use this app about as much as I check email. What interests me is not just the large quakes but watchingthe continuum of seismic activity unfold around the globe. When there is anything significant there is also a news optional link that will take you to the page that covers the quake updates for that area. Again, to me, it is the best app of its kind and a lure to novelly educate even people that haven't previously had an interest in earthquake activity..KafkaesquerenditionVersion: 3.62

Very cool appMysticCub seems to have missed the whole point. This app is about the macro, not the micro. This is not google Earth. BTW, a one star review for an app with so much depth, detail, and wonderful innovation is the mark of a troll. IF YOU TOUCH ANY OF THE EARTHQUAKE FLAGS, a popup window with an option "MAP" will take you to the epicenter of the Earthquake on an actual google map with all the details you expect on a FLAT map. Also on the same options popup, you can select DETAILS which will often include a number of specialized seismic maps and information. VERY detailed. Another option on this popup that I like to use is the NEWS option which will quickly take you to Yahoo News for the latest wire-service news stories about larger Earthquakes. WoW!Even after looking at the screenshots from the developers I still was blown away by both the graphic display as well as by the configurability of this app. The only thing it doesn't have a dry, boring list of earthquakes...that you can get anywhere. You can display any date's earthquakes going back over 4000 years! The only thing missing when displaying historical quakes it would be of help to display the date that's currently selected and just have it fade out like the menus do with touch inactivity and an auto-updating quakes and an associated configurable setting for selections like every 20, 60 and 120 minutes..EriptronVersion: 3.31

It was cool...for a minuteI understand the usgs changed their feeds, that's why the app can't connect to the feed, but there is still no update in the App Store! Incredible tool!This is one of the most impressive apps I have had the pleasure to use! It is not only informative, it is educational. Not showing recent major earthquakesI’ve used this app for years and have loved it however I’ve noticed recently that it is not showing a lot of newer earthquakes. I thought it was just a glitch and that it would fix itself will it hasn’t. We recently had an M 8.8 - at Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. This is not in the app. Also Many other large ones ranging up to 6.9 at the same location and only a few above six are shown. The 6.9 is not there. The M6.8 at Macquarie Island region is not there. A M6.5 Indonesia, not there. Many many many earthquakes are not there. I am looking at the USGS 7 day feed. I have tried loading different feeds, and they all say that the server is down and this has been going on for weeks.. I tried deleting and reloading the app. It did not work. There are no updates. I’ve tried it on three different devices. It’s the same. I’ve even tried to use the atlas which does not work by the way. It’s always blank. Very DisappointedI am disappointed for a paid app. Not sure if it’s because I’m just not familiar with how to use the app or what, but they don’t even provide a link one how to use the features. The features they say the app has, I am not seeing them. Connection IssuesThis App was great, though for the last month or so it will not connect, stating connection issues.
