EPA's SunWise UV Index Customer Service

This is a good UV index app however there certain days where I just cannot access the hourly and daily uv index using my current location. I keep trying to delete and download the app but just doesn't want to work at times once in a while. Today is one of those days where it just doesn't want to work. Please find a way to fix these bugs or I will no longer use

App does exactly as described without annoying advertisements. Plus the data is exactly the data all weather services pull from but the gov’t has it first. So I don’t have to wait for accurate results. Well done

I have had skin cancer so I now take extra precautions by checking what the projected UV risk will be for the day and prepare myself. It does everything I need. Thanks, EPA!

This app displays the current UV forecast for the current location (or any location you specify) as well as an hourly forecast. It's not the most beautiful app, but it gets the job done.

Have used this app over the past year and love it. However recently it isn't working. Just displays blank screen

I originally had a problem with this app not working after I updated to iOS 9.3, but it works now.

Thanks for fixing the GPS. I am photosensitive, so I appreciate that this app tells me when it is safe to go outdoors.

Very fair skin is sensitive to UV. Before this app I received EPA daily UV alerts via email. It is a great convenience to have the hourly UV levels this tool offers to plan the day's activities in the palm of my hand!

It is an awesome way to understand the realistic UV exposure you are facing everyday (and by the hour). Highly recommended! I love the state winners of the SHADE Foundation's Poster Contest too. Definitely check them out!

This is a useful app. I am a cyclist and hiker and am outside a lot, so a quick way to check the UV Index is helpful. The app does what it says and is quick.

I love heading outside to tan and I use this to track the best UV. Probably counterproductive for what the app was intended for, but works for me! Couldn't live without this in the summer.

This is exactly why I appreciate this federal agency. They put useful information into the public's hands!

It's simple to use and does what it says... I really like the 4 day forecast feature.

Easy to use and great way to stay safe in the sun

The app is very useful, especially the hourly forecast, but the daily map has some technical issues. First, one cannot read the scale on the map; second, the dates for the maps change when the orientation of the ipad changes from portrait to landscape; third, the map is rather small and cannot be enlarged on the screen.

The app has some good information that can give you an accurate baseline, but it certainly has LOTS of room for improvement. Other than your location, there are ZERO personal factors taken into account. That might work well for some people, but I’m a natural redhead with light blue eyes and an extremely pale complexion, living in southern Florida, and I need an app that takes that into account. I read through all the EPA’s UV calculations, which consider wavelength, elevation, angle of the sun, ozone depletion, cloud cover, etc, but then only use some unknown “average” to calculate the sensitivity of human skin. Why bother being so accurate with your locational calculations to then turn around and assume every person is exactly the same? I really wish the EPA would realize that people are also as unique as locations, and that absolutely NEEDS to be taken into account.

Would be 10 stars for sure if i didn't keep getting "forbidden access" error messages every time i click anywhere on the screen -- it works 10% of the time -- but when it does .. IT IS AMAZING ! this app has the potential to negate having any other UV Index apps ... PLEASE UPDATE for bug fixes !!!

This consistently shows much higher uv index than my other apps. It may be that this is the only accurate one, but it is more likely that it is inaccurate.

Everything seems to work fine except the hourly forecast. This feature worked for only one day, the day I downloaded the app. I would appreciate if you would please fix this bug.

This app is the most user friendly and easy to read. However, it glitches almost every time I try to use it. It takes at least 6-7 tries to get it to load. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a way to configure notifications when the UV is about to go over a certain chosen level. Additionally the data appears to sometimes be unavailable.

I use it on a daily basis however some days it is completely unresponsive. There is nothing you can do to get it to work.

This a 5 star app and brilliant for UV (and once u know how to use it, can accurately know the weather 5 days in advance much better than any 5 day forecast). That said, it stopped working 3 days ago and doesn’t seem to be coming back.

Have been trying to us for a week May 31—Jun 4 stopped working

Just a shell for a mobile web browser that takes you to specific pages on the EPA site. No interactive maps, hourly forecast, etc. Most weather apps now give you the current UV index so this app is worthless. Now I'm going to press and hold, look for shaking app and press X.

Nothing is working. Totally functionless right now and has been for weeks!?!? Is this a dead app? Is there even an administrator for it. Use to love this app. Used it daily for years. Now, completely BROKEN!

The app only shows the present date. It'd be better for planning outdoor activities if the entire week (by hour) was listed.

Clearly no one cares to update or make this app functional if it’s not for money. Total garbage, doesn’t even works 95% of the times.

Appreciate the effort to create an app but information not provided in a timely enough manner to be helpful (not provided until the morning of the day, so can't use it to plan ahead) and no forecast for next day or two provided at all. other websites provide more useful info.

Stopped working

Great app when it works. But when I need it the most it is inaccessible.

No longer able to use this app. It will not post the current UV or hourly UV.

App won't even load, reinstalled etc. what a disappointment.

It doesn't work here in Star Idaho her I love her. Nothing comes up at all. I'm uninstalling it.
