OTR Truck DriverHi! I lived in Florida for 25 years up until the hurricane hit Fort Myers head on! I have been tracking storms since Charley near missed Fort Myers! This app has been on every phone I have had from the beginning! I last everyone in the last hurricane so I am a truck driver now and still use this app every day before I begin my journey! I love Wink so much my dog Popcorn made dog of the day and was showed on the morning show! So I am have lost everything, but Wink Weather keeps Popcorn and I alive and alert! Still WinkingI lived in Ft Myers FL for 25 years. While living there I relied on WINK news weather app to prepare me for the day. After moving away from Ft Myers I have shared WINK weather with hundreds of people since you can change the location. I along with others find that WINK weather gives me quicker alerts than local weather apps. The forecast is spot on even while living several states away. Where have you been all my life ...We moved to south florida 2 years ago and quickly became aware of how fast weather conditions change down here ... Thumbs Up!I am really enjoying this app! I used the weather channel app for years but have become increasingly frustrated with it and all the clutter. I want accurate radar without any worthless “predicted radar”, and to the point forecasts. This app doesn’t take forever to load and view as well as not being cluttered with ads. Auto-Rotate issuesThis is my go-to app to see the weather radar and pick up the latest broadcast of the weather. The app has an issue with auto-rotate on the iPad. It goes to portrait mode when turned on. Sometimes it stays there, sometimes it auto rotates to landscape. Sometimes I try to force it and it goes 180 degrees before I can get it to stick to portrait. It’s annoying. I wish they would fix it. InformativeI am not sure who the head meteorologist at WINK but he is fantastic. I have since becoming a Florida full time residence in the last year, have tuned in to WINK just to hear him explain the weather. He is absolutely fantastic. Updates no longer workEver since Apple ended distribution of iPad updates for older iPads, your Wink Weather updates no longer work. The system only gives the user the option to download the last compatible version of the Wink app. Of the 30 or so iPad apps I have loaded the failure to update only occurs on the Wink app and with one other app. Do you plan on fixing this issue or is it unavoidable. Review of the Wink Weather app.As much as I do enjoy the alerts of oncoming storms, lightning and heavy rain in my area, I’d like to suggest something. It would be even more informative if we knew the direction of the inclement weather, ie rain coming from the west or storms coming from the east. Great Weather Info, Need UI WorkWhen viewing the radar, don’t default to showing all kinds of weather alerts on it. When severe weather is coming, being able to see the actual radar is important. Change alert indicators to not cover the radar with more transparency. Or at least store my preferences on whether to see the alerts on radar view, please..KT3701Version: 5.7.110

Most Accurate for everywhereAlthough the weather in South Florida is hard to predict, this app has been the most accurate for reliable weather forecast. While using 5 other apps to help me as a field supervisor for a roofing company, I found that this app is the best in comparison. I have moved away from Florida and it works great where I live now. I think it’s even more accurate with the easier to predict weather. I wish I can turn off the advertisement, but the banners aren’t in the way. Forecast for downtown NaplesMy dog depends on Xanax when there’s a loud thunderstorm and most times when one is forecast, it dissipates way before it gets to us (near downtown Naples). HorribleRefresh lags, wind direction often wrong. When going from past to now to see where a storm is headed the radar is good but storms always just disappear into future track in the next clip.... the daily % chances change every 15-30mins example- partly cloudy 20% chance of rain. Then a pop up storm rolls through it jumps to 100% , but isn’t that part of the 20% chance. The chance is not supposed to be based on what it’s doing right that second but the likelihood of rain for that day. 20% still means there is a small chance of a little rain just not as much as 80%.. Beware DangerousWeather changes fast here and being a step ahead of it often aids you and sometimes saves you. This app when it works has a 60 minute lag on the Doppler radar. The forecasts are widely inaccurate. 80% of the time the radar doesn’t even work. Choose another weather app for your safety. This app drains batteryThis app uses too much battery. Upon checking I found the app using 59% of battery power on my iPhone 10. For 4 minutes of screen time it used 21 hours and 43 minutes running in the background.
