WINK NEWSI am a news hound. I look at news feeds several times a day. You don’t update your stories frequently enough. To have stories that are from a day or so ago isn’t current For example when looking for vaccine information when things change rapidly your story might be 19 hours old. Don’t even get me started about Sunday’s. I think you take that day off completely. I laugh when your commercial says you provide the most current, up to date news. My other complaint is that you do not always answer-who, what, when or where. There might have been a crime and you tell us in Cape Coral. Well where in Cape Coral? In my neighborhood? Banner links and Saving storiesLike the app to keep in touch with what is going on in the local news. Would be nice if we could save the articles to show others like in the Apple news. Do not like the way banner headlines are set up. I click on the link to read the article or watch the video and I get no article and no video but a watch live and I get get nothing of what I wanted to read. Plus the banner is gone and I forgot what the headline was and when I do remember it is almost impossible to find when looking through all the news. Hurricane Ian coverageMatt Devitt was our savior as we watched from Ohio while Hurricane Ian headed toward our FL home in Port Charlotte. Unlike some of the other weather stations, Matt calmly presented factual and critical information without sensationalizing the day's events. Notification Links Don’t linkWink sends out a lot of push notifications, but when you click on the notif, Wink does not take you to the associated story. Instead, you have to DIG to find that story (which makes having notifications from Wink completely useless). If I wanted to dig through the app I could just open it myself. Audio IssuesWe love WINK News and watch it regularly via our cable provider. But, for a few months have been living in a rental property with only internet and Smart TV’s. That is when we recognized the serious audio issues when using the app, which are are only magnified when connected to a TV via AirPlay. I have removed the app and reloaded. We do not have any audio issues with any other apps used to watch TV (e.g., ESPN, NBC, CBS, Fox News, Paramount, etc). It is even more noticeable during Commercial Breaks. APP Keeps Jumping Back to the TopWhen using the WINK News app on my iPhone, I will be scrolling down through all of the articles and the app keeps jumping way back to the top. Where’s the sound?I have been using the Wink News app for over a year. I loved it, until this latest update. Now I can’t get any sound!
