Ignore the negative reviews likely by CCP…There are no charges unless you clearly subscribe. There is a free account option. You can still read articles without paid or free account. Easy to toggle between Chinese and English even though it defaults to Chinese. Small initial view size is easily rectified by selecting the zoom icon in the lower right hand corner. Sometimes graphics will bleed off the page however. I don’t know about access outside of the US. Highly recommend this app for real news. Don’t waste your time with the other “news” apps.
