UpgradeUPDATE: I changed my review to 5 Star. Even though I am unhappy with having to pay $20 a year after I already paid for Pro, this is a really good app! I wish the fonts was bigger on the 7 day forecast so I hope that is fixed soon. The ability to save the animated icons don’t work with switched to Instagram. UpDATE: Developers don’t care if you paid for the previous Pro version. They want more money for new revision. Previous users should be grandfathered in. The new version icons are so small barely can see. I have been a Pro user of InstaWeather for years and now the app is changed to a different name and I had to pay again?!?! Weathershot review.I had this app everlasting years ago when i thought it was less expensive🤔. I also thought I only signed up for one month but to my surprise there was a little over a $20 charge for an annual acct on my Apple acct. these are the only reasons for the three stars right now. I don’t travel much but I live on Nantucket and so do 3 of my four children so why would I leave? I’ll review again after looking under the hood and playing around a bit. Price gouging developersUsed to use weathershot pro daily then they had a monthly sub and then changed to yearly. Software is not worth 40 dollars a year for the same worthless crap from weathershot pro. Found a better program. Wish these developers the best. Can't use camera roll photoWe're supposed to be able to use camera roll photos, but every time I try to use one, the date, time, and temp defaults to where and when the photo was taken. So I'm trying to use a pic from a few months ago, and it says Wednesday 3pm 80F when it's Thursday 8am and 60F. I keep trying to change it but it won't change to the current time and date and temp. I like this app, but I can't go run outside and take pics just to get the most current and accurate info. I'm in FL. It doesn't matter if my palm tree pic is from today or last month. All seasons look the same! Is this a bug or am I just not able to use camera roll photos as pics for my current weather pic? ;(.HelenadetroyVersion: 5.1.31
Not Worth the $$$$$$$ CostI had previously purchased the premium version of this app. Last year, they changed it so only the original templates could be used, then asked $9.99/month (A MONTH!) to use the templates I had previously had access to via premium purchase. Today I logged in and they’ve further locked down to only ONE template I can use without being hijacked for $9.99/month. (The rest of those templates in the original collection are equally boring, which tells me they’re desperate for cash). Developers: if you’re so hard up you have to hold users hostage for it via steep endless monthly charge versus raise capital through VC, you’re not a (financially) stable platform. Paying again?I’ve been a WeathershotPro user and had already paid for the previous pro versions. But now they are switching to subscription system for skins! Well, I suppose they should come up with more attractive skins or functions in order to keep users to subscribe for the service. Very unhappy!I recently paid for an upgrade to unlock all the premium features of this app before the app was updated and changed its name. My payment unlocked all of the overlays for all of the seasons and weather conditions. I was very happy with the app. Then a couple weeks later the app did an update and I lost everything I had paid for and now it’s changed to a yearly subscription of $20 a year? From great to garbage!This used to be a great app. Then they changed everything so much I didn’t even recognize the app after the change. App forecast data does not update for most skinsThe forecast data does not update for most skins. Skins will show the current weather. And the weather for the forecast is stuck in the weather at the time of the conversion to WeatherShot from the previous app. This is very frustrating if the problem is not fixed soon I will not be renewing next year. Just outrageous.I dislike developers who are asking you to pay for a Pro version and then change their pricing model, mainly pushed by Apple which takes its percentage on each sale, and ask you to pay again.
So you have to pay again and again, so greedy you are guys. I’d would rather pay for each new version, than paying $20 just for a bunch of skin that I can get free from the web or that I can make myself with any other photo apps.

Unable to log into appI’ve been a Weather Pro customer for many years. Now I understand they CHANGED the app with more features. Okay no problem. I downloaded the app from my cloud in the App Store.
