Great Customer ServiceI wan to say first this app has been very handy along with helping me organize my project photos. Now I want to get into why I’m writing this review cause I don’t review or it takes a lot for me to write a review. The customer service is very helpful and fast with helping solve problems. The problem I was having was due to my phone case having a magnetic case. I noticed that sometimes the directions wasn’t working correctly so I sent off an email. John Civijovski replied promptly asking me to check a few things. I emailed him back explaining that I had checked those items. This problem was then followed up with a phone call from him to help solve the issue which resolved my problem from using a rokform case that has a magnetic hook. Fantastic App!!I have used this app for years to take pictures for ecological volunteering and other projects. It is wonderful for documenting conditions in the field with geographical coordinate data overlayed on the image. I use it for downed trees and other environmental conditions to report. App support link brokenI am just leaving this to say the latest update has messed up the screen on the iPhone 8plus and the app support link takes you to a website with a broken link. That being said I use this app daily for work and it’s great it’s really five stars this is the first problem I have had in two-three years using this app. And I need you to fix it before I start my next project I can’t access settings at all to change the text overlay. Almost perfectI’m an ecologist and this app is great for keeping record of things I find in the field. Well worth the full purchase and is cheaper than competitive apps with a better final picture design. The one flaw I found is that the landscape lock doesn’t actually lock the photo based on the gyroscope of the phone (like when trying to take landscape but the phone is barely tilted into portrait mode). Good but could be betterThe GPS sometimes does not change going from site to site. Even with the GPS lock off. You end up with picture from several sites with the same street name and GPS Coordinates. It would be helpful to be able to edit those in the Project and Description editor. I love it!This app has not only saved me on multiple occasions, but it massively improves my quality of work and reports. Having all the information stamped onto the photo is SUPER helpful, and the ability to compare and manipulate photos to determine distances, area, etc is super handy. I do a variety of different projects and I heavily use this app every day, for every single job. I’ve recommended it to every contractor I’ve worked with, and forced my team to use it. Taking notes is great and very important, but being able to take a picture, record information on it, AND have all the gps data is just awesome. I do have one negative though. I was in an area with spotty cell coverage and taking pictures with the app. It was taking a long time to record the data (the loading wheel was spinning for awhile after taking a photo). I later realized that a bunch of my photos didn’t save due to this for whatever reason. It was likely having a hard time getting a location fix, which caused multiple photos to end up timing out and not getting recorded. If it’s possible for the app to still take a picture without recording the location data in these circumstances that would be ideal. Because I didn’t notice until I got home (6hr drive from Site) and a bunch of the pictures I took never got saved..WhyMustIGiveANickname????Version: 2.13

Fantastic app for engineering field and construction workI’m a geological engineer and do a lot of field work: mapping surveys, site inspections, construction, etc. Taking photos has always been a big part of my practice and in the last 10 years, having photos geo-referenced has been an added bonus. This app raises our capabilities even more - information such as location, elevation, view direction, address, and user text can all be added right on the photo. Exported photos missing date/time stampI’m using an iPhone 8 with the latest iOS update. I noticed the date/time stamps missing after uploading photos to my computer. All the other info is still stamped. Looks like the date/time stamps are omitted when the app saves them to the iPhone’s Camera Roll, while the stamp is not missing when viewing photos from the gallery of the app itself. This issue is affecting many of my colleagues as well. This is a critical issue disallowing us further use of Solocator, and would be a huge bummer to have to move away from this app entirely..Turkey702Version: 2.11

Not that amazing for industry use, reallyAnyone that uses a photo app in an industry, knows no one wants an overlayed photo on a report. Overlayed photos are for identification, and for proper debrief from the field. This app is great, if you manage to get the right description on the photo. If you have the take a bunch of snap photos and don’t have time to change the description, god help you. At this point if you go back and change the description, the photo is “saved” at the end of the photo album. It is no longer next to the untouched photo upon download, and is an absolute NIGHTMARE to place correctly.
