Everything else is great but what I don’t like is that when ever you read a comic it only lets you read a few pages and ask you to buy a subscription so you can read the whole thing. In my personal opinion that sounds ridiculous. Here’s my idea: I think that it should allow people to read the whole thing on comics and other novels on Saturdays and Sundays, and on other days it can only allow you to read a few pages, that’s when the subscription come in, if you buy the subscription it can allow you to read the whole thing on comics and other novels on other days too. And that’s my idea, like I said everything else is good, I just don’t like the fact you have to pay a subscription so you can read all the pages on novels and comics. Developer, if you are reading this, please take my idea and update the app, so that way more people can read novels on your app. Oh yeah and one more idea: whenever you read a comic, money gets sent to the creator of the novel your reading that way it can be a win win for everyone. Developers, please take my 2 ideas and update the app with that idea. I don’t care if you credit me or not just take my 2 ideas and use them please. And to the people who are reading this, if your fine with buy subscriptions then you will have no problem with this app.

Don’t listen to whiners who just want everything for free. This is a great subscription service for Image, Boom, etc., as well as smaller publishers. It paid for itself in the first week, easily, and I also discovered cool titles I didn’t know about or wouldn’t take a chance on normally. The iPad app works well. They don’t have everything, but usually when they have something, the full run is available. Lots of fan-favorites, including Saga, Black Science, Monstress, Descender, East of West, Invincible, Do a Power Bomb!, Transformers and more. My only complaint is I wish adding things to “to read” was easier. Usually I either have to open the book (which adds it to the “continue reading” section), or have to click a bunch of times to add it to the library and then change it from the default status of “reading”. It should also mark things as finished when you finish them.

The discoverability feels a bit chaotic, at least on mobile. I like that it tries to suggest comics based on what you like, but the Home Screen ends up being overloaded with lists of genres, at least on mobile. The search function could be improved by allowing to search for multiple genres, as well as adding more specific search fields. The app does a good job of this, but it’s important for a comic aggregator to get this optimized. Secondly, reading the comics themselves doesn’t feel very smooth. I like to tap-and-drag while viewing the whole comic page, but it pretty cramped and slightly unresponsive. Panel-by-panel is slightly better, but both of these options feel better on the Hoopla app. With that being said, the variety of comics, monthly sub, app aesthetics and layout, and a majority of the app functionality are good or above average.

I’m enjoying this app a great deal, primarily due to how easy it is to find indie comics and high quality stuff. While I love that the way that pages are layed out is annoying to browse. Instead of a standard format of simple scrolling/swiping to go between pages and then using a button to go to a different issue of the comic you scroll through about half a page to a full page of a comic then press a button to go to the next one. This makes the whole experience somewhat annoying from a user standpoint, and to my knowledge pages are what’s uploaded by the author as opposed to the more standard formats of chapters/whole issues. I can see why the system is the way it is, but I would prefer if button presses transferred between full issues and you just scrolled/swiped between pages inside a given issue.

Man thank y’all so much for this for years I wanted a subscription service for all the indie comics out there and this app delivers and more with new releases regularly and various amounts of different comic mediums. They’ve recently added DC comics to the vault and I’d love for them to get their hands on IDW. The reader is highly customizable and publishers can give the option to read TPBs or single issues. The spawn collection alone is a reason to buy. Love y’all over at global comix 💚

It is good and stuff, but there is some things I have too much or and I just think it’s really good if you like reading comics and stuff but it’s very nice. It’s very nice. and is just like a nice place if you wanna like read a comic and stuff are you bored you could just download this but I think it’s a perfect app except for that. It says you wanna pay for a month or whatever or for this thing, I don’t know what it is, but I’m not paying for it.

I really dove into the comic medium towards the end of last year and I can say this app is one of the few that continues to improve. Their selection of titles is ever growing. Even having some of the most recent stuff on shelves. If you’re just getting into the medium or enjoy exploring new titles, I’d give it a go. I only hope it continues expand its titles and maybe a better system on what you’ve read.

Having an awesome time. To all the people complaining that you have to pay a subscription fee and pay for the work - support artist people. If you have the money pay so we don’t kill art. It takes work to make and maintain the software and the art. We will lose art as a society if everyone keeps expecting everything for free

Hello I am not typically the person to do reviews much less write one but I am cancelling my subscription and I kind of feel bad. This app is genuinely fantastic in every way however I only got it to read invincible. There’s not a doubt in my mind if I end up getting more into comics or want to read dc material I will be renewing. Great app easy to work with and a great interface.

I think the app is great only complaint, you have to buy certain comic books like dc or marvel especially if they are new drops, but I understand why they do this but, I feel like there should be a way to just include them in the subscription even if you have to wait like a month or something for it to be available

A lot of negative reviews expected all of marvel and dcs catalouge for free or included in the sub which is insane, like maybe from their own apps, why would they ever make a deal like that with a third party, this is really good for what it is, a way to read from multiple publishers in one space and discuss comics

Hello! First i wanna say the app is great and im very happy to start reading invincible, but what im not happy with is how you word your subscription, maybe i just read it too fast but the way you worded your yearly subscription in app made it sound like a monthly subscription, and i ended up blowing 80 dollars on it, i am a little upset but itll be ok, though i wish you could convey it better in the app.

I have been thoroughly enjoying the app. I was happy to pay for the gold because I know comics aren’t free but the fact that I have to pay more for other comics kinda turned me away from a full 5 star review. I get that some releases are more sought after than others however I would like for the gold to include all the comics for the price that it is.

Finally a comic reading app again. I love that it’s subscription based. I would prefer the subscription give you full access to every book. Some books you have to pay for still. I wouldn’t mind paying more for the subscription for absolute full access.

Heyyy! Nice app you got here! Great choice of comics, but if I may, I would like for you to put in (if you can get past the rights of marvel and Disney lawyers) marble comics! Very big leap, but I feel it will branch out to a few dozen more comic lovers thus increasing more profit, and you can do stuff like the golden age, venom war, and even the what if series! Overall love the app, I just wanna speak my thoughts, you’re doing great!

I was a comixology guy and I have tons of comics but the kindle reader isn’t optimized for comics. Clearly the developers love comics and it shows. Love the various publishers you can read; some of the best comics available, I now wanting a hardware company to make a tablet that is even bigger to show comics the same size as the physical version

The app is really well made, you have access to a basically unlimited amount of comics, but I would like to see the addition of the ability to buy comics that’s free with gold so I’m able to just own it permanently instead of having to use a subscription.

Their discord server is the only discord among thousands without a toxic moderator! His CEO is kind and amazing. Same for ArtCrumbs the moderator. I loved every page the app design, the catalog. Is worth the money, so wouldn’t mind if they rise the membership price. Because their service is worth it ! And the quality of every comic is amazing !

No matter is you are a fan of Indie, Mainstream, big and little creators this app has what you need! Unlike other apps that pop-up and attempt to redirect you to another comic rather than the one you want to read, GC understands the reader’s experience comes first.

These people are not lying with the 60,000 titles claim. For only $9.99 I’ve now read over 7000 pages of image comics on my iPad, and binge scrolled through a few dozen webcomics. Fantastic value for the buck on a platform that seems to have hundreds of new release daily 🥰

I downloaded the app to read some of my favorites including a comic series called snowpiercer but unfortunately wasn’t there I will keep using but probably not that much until snowpiercer is added

I’ve had a lot of time to try out the app now on both my iPad and iPhone and it’s been a real delight. There’s A LOT of comics to read, literally thousands of webcomics in addition to all the major publishers (Image, Boom!, Top Cow, Humanoids, Oni Press, etc) and even some manga. The in-app purchase subscription works really well and a single purchase unlocked every paywalled comic on the whole platform. This is by far the best value and experience I’ve had in comics apps yet!

I was reading Spawn and I was nearly to 900 in the 1st compendium and when I exited the app it just didn’t save on which page I was on and this happens on every comic I read, its just a hassle scrolling through just to find where I was. Other than that its a great app

I’ve been enjoying this app solely for the invincible series and a little of hellblazer. My main issue, however, has to do with the inconsistency in the invincible universe (mainly complaining about tech hacker) so reading it i feel like will be more of a drag for me since i like to intake as much lore as possible..

I love this app so far but there’s a couple issues the main thing is that the app keeps crashing I can go through a couple pages then it’ll suddenly slow down freeze and then shut down entirely is that common?

App has a great display method that makes comics very easy and enjoyable to read on your phone. I’ve never been able to get into comics because the images were too small on my phone. Enjoy

I’m only reading one comic from this but so far everything has been good the only bad thing is when I skip a page on accident but that’s not the apps fault,the app is really good

I love the app, but there’s no point to having gold membership anymore. I was reading watchmen but now i can’t because it’s behind a paywall now.

Getting used to the tap feature as opposed to swiping but I find myself jumping to the next panel . Haven’t really explored the apps features or title library just jumped right in to Brzrker.

After searching for many places to read invincible cheaply and on the go, this app has allowed me not only to do that, but find a new way to read more!

I really love the show the comics are even better it’s just way better but we will see what happens in the show

So many of my fave comics, and some are even vertical so I’m re-reading my faves. A lot of really good free stuff too, and the annual sub is a great deal for how much is on here.

I love reading comics and mangas but they can take a lot of space very fast, also the price can be a lot over time. I am quite amaze with the selection. I can now read comics that I was not sure about, also I will not be scared of buying something that I don’t like since I could simply read one or two issues and decide that it’s not for me. This app will also expend my vision in comic knowledge. I was never really interested in reading Invincible for exemple but since it is “free” with the membership, might as well try it out.

There is no getting around it, you need to subscribe to the “gold” version of this app to get the most out of it. However, with the price of comics nowadays, you can justify the cost of a yearly subscription in a couple of weeks (assuming you read regularly). Unfortunately, many of the issues available still need to be bought individually (especially newer Marvel, DC, and Dark Horse, not to mention pretty much all the manga). Nevertheless, there are so many great books included in the gold subscription, that you will never run out of reading material.

Great comic reading application. It has all the major comic publishers. I like is panel reading mode. However monthly or yearly subscription wise a bit expensive.

I wanted to read the invincible comics and couldn’t have found a better app, very cheap for what you’re getting.

Finally a place where good stories can live. Now that we can download and read online, this service is damn near perfect. No, it’s not free, nor it should be, we want to support the artists and the industry, but it’s got exceptional value. If you’re a comic book fan you know what an expensive hobby this is. Now you can read until your eyes bleed and save $$ and space for those really unique titles you want to own. No Marvel or DC? No problem! You got the amazing catalogues of Image, Boom!, ONI, Vault, TKO, AWA and many others as well as Indy creators. Thanks, Global Comix for bringing them all together!

Well no complaints though im new to online reading. I was drawn in by what i just read the mighty barbarians i believe it was called. I like this app and will like more i believe.

It’s a monthly subscription, like a Netflix for comics. It’s got some good comics in there like spawn, and the boys and more that you might not have ever heard of. Long story short I recommended.

Ok I know you have to make money off of the things you make that is what we all do but with this I’m just disappointed because almost everything is money or a subscription even with ones that don’t even show it on the front(which it does usually show if it’s subscription or money)but the only free one that I could’ve read (which didn’t) was an ai book and yes I know that you try to make money but for there to be books there that are free that you can read that are only ai slop? I say this with all do respect I’m not mad or attacking the creators of this but I’m just disappointed that nothing really came out of it in the end.

Subscribing to the Gold Membership should completely remove the "collection only" thing, and I don't understand why it doesn't. Sure, it gives you a discount, but it's only one dollar off. For example, I want to read the original Shaman King manga. The gold membership gives you everything from Volumes 1 to 17. That's a decent length of content, and that's good. However, volumes 18 and onward are the final act of the series. 18 is when the Shaman Fight officially begins for crying out loud! We're not even in the patch village at this point and I can't read any more without paying 11 bucks PER VOLUME? That's absolutely ridiculous.

First off can I just say that if you are going to make people pay on the app just have us buy the app for money with no interruptions for purchases while reading. I thought this would be something where the money comes from ads or like only one book before a timer is set up for your next. Please at least lower the price of the subscriptions or let me read more than 10 pages. I think that these are pretty reasonable complaints that should be fixed.

Psshh! As a comic/mang/graphic novel fan (& I mean it!) I believe this’ a waste. It cost money to be able to use this app, I tried to get it and test read a Invader Zim comic but it only let me read 3 pages for free! IZ is a rare comic u get just find anywhere so I thought I could read em here but no ig not. At least have it to where new installers can experience reading full comix for free for 3 dayz to actually see if they like and want to invest in this app! If you don’t want to waste money on a non physical product that can dissolve from existence then go to the world cat. I noticed certain publishers like oni press and a few others show up but have no comics. It’s disheartening when several of your promised big publishers say they have comics but none show up. I love this app but I feel like I’m being lied to when you have certain publishers posted but no comics books from them. Whether this is a licensing issue or what I don’t know but please fix this soon.

Hello I am hoping to reach the devs for this app I bought the $7 subscription a little over a week ago and it is trying to take the next payment off of my card and the subscription is not even over yet the app says nov 9 is the next payment and as of today it is oct 22 so now I am unable to download anything from the App Store because I am short on money rn. I would really appreciate the help thanks.

Before they made you pay for these dc comics you didn’t have to pay if you had the subscription which I liked cause I can read comics without worrying about buying but know they added more stuff you can barely get to read cause you gotta pay for the rest what is the reason for a subscription than if imma have to wait a month or so for y’all to release one series for free I don’t understand

I was reading the comics I enjoy for free but I wanted to read the most current in a better format and I was willing to pay for that but you only have two issues of transformers and only one of void rivals. I kept thinking it was a mistake when the cobra commander search came up with nothing. I thought you were the app to read image comics on. I would have never given a dime if I knew you had none of the titles and was not completely up to date. What is this? No wonder the comic industry is dying.

Got this app just to finish the invincible comic, but every single time i go back to “continue reading” the app puts me towards the end regardless of where i left off. To make it worse there is no simple restart button or something to put you back to page one i have to scroll and spoil myself just to find where i was. I’m not sure if im the only one with this problem but it’s insane i have to pay an app to spoil me.

They tell you that the gold subscription is will give you access to comics. But what they don't tell you is that it's only for random 6 comics a month that they choose for you. Completely not worth it. And guess what happens if you just want to read the next volume of what you are already reading? Too bad! You go to pay for it on top of your subscription.

Pretty good service, I got a year upfront. I like having IDW day and date as well. How I can I easily see in my library new available issues of series I’ve been reading? Tracking down new issues is harder than feels like it should be.

Why would you pay 6.99 a month to get a dollar off the comic, I thought the comics came with the subscription. If I wanted to buy the comic I’d go to the store and pick up the physical copy. I do like the way it takes through the comic, makes it easier to read

It’s a great app and website but they’ve been pushing ads lately through notifications and I can’t find where to turn them off.

I’m sitting here waiting on my car charging and I decided now would be a great time to read some comics since I’ve got tons of comics downloaded. I figured I was good for it. I clicked the shelf and then downloaded comics and then clicked on the comics that I had downloaded and to my surprise, I was worn that I was off-line and I couldn’t see the comics.

You can read a lot of comics before you hit the paywall so use it if your’e not sure you want to buy a comic or not. It also doesn’t have marvel or dc so keep that in mind.

Charge 100$ for the year. Why is it every time I open the app I have to find the page I was on again. “Currently reading” doesn’t mean anything. I start on page one every time I use this app. Makes it impossible to read anything briefly, as I spend 5 mins flipping pages. For 100$, that’s horrible.

You tell me the app is free but when I open it, you ask me to pay? Why not just make the app cost money instead of lying to me?

Instead of the gold standard Viz/SJ/Manga Plus subscription model, GlobalComix aims to give you American comics for full price. I love their earnestness, but it is a weird understanding of the subscription market

Meh for an app with Global in it’s title it’s awfully anglocentric. The authors/illustrators aren’t featured very prominently. Other than that it probably fulfills what it sets out to.

It’s an alright app. Lots of stuff to read and if you pay, lots more. I gave it a two star for having an option for opting out of AI content but it still shows you AI content. And the developer obviously hasn’t read a comic on this app as the panning feature is bad, you get locked on the x/y axis constantly while trying to move the page around.

I got the app originally to read twd comics. I paid for a month of subscription, been using it for about a week and then when I open the app, it logged me out… now it won’t let me log in but it will let me log in on the website!?!? I then tried to rest my password to see if that would make a difference but I can’t find it on the website, since that is where it redirects me… Please get this fixed because I am not the only one having this issue. trust me I was satisfied with the app until this happened… but I’ve already paid for a month so once I get logged in (if I even can) I won’t be continuing to use the app unless these things are fixed…

I open the app for the first time ever and it says “oops, looks like we’re having some connections issues” i still get this error.
