Excellent but a fatal flaw

My son in law introduced me to this game. It’s also how I learned what a “rogue like” game is. I love this game and I’ve learned to appreciate rogue-likes. The game plays consistently, cleanly and has just enough complications to keep it interesting with every play-through without making it too tough to figure out. As a matter of fact, I was finally getting GOOD at this game - I was starting to form real strategies with the different characters, something I never have the attention span to accomplish, when I discovered the fatal flaw. I finally ascended to the point of revealing spoilers when an app bug stopped my progress. The “end turn” button glitched out so I couldn’t finish my turn. The only solution I could find was to start a new save-file which abandoned all my progress. On my second play-thru, I got even farther (twice as fast the second time, as I always say) but the SAME glitch eventually showed up. I abandoned the run and tried again - the glitch persevered. I tried the daily challenge but the glitch was still there. No matter what I tried, unless I start a new save file, the glitch stops me at the bottom of the spire. To be clear, the glitch didn’t appear for a long time, so I made lots of progress and enjoyed it the entire time; however, don’t play if you plan to try to 100% the game. The glitch will get you.

Great game, iffy controls

This is my first time playing this game, I’ve always wanted to try it out but was never sold on the idea of the whole card game mechanics. Well it turns out I’ve had an absolute blast playing this one, it’s simple, balanced and rewarding. As fun as the game is, the controls tend to be infuriating. Tapping a card in your hand to look at it almost 100% of the time will bring it up and put it right back down so you either tap it again or do this weird longer tap maneuver to actually look at it, I’d rather just being able to see your hand without having to tap the cards. And on the iPhone 14 pro, a lot of UI elements are entirely too small to read when there’s plenty of space to be utilized, so that’s kind of annoying. And with the cards right on the home bar, when trying to exit the game using the home bar you’re very likely to throw a random card out by accident. I’m having a great time playing this a couple hours in, I’ve just completed my first run and I plan to continue. If these issues get addressed, it’s an easy 5 star game. Really solid release to have on arcade among the wave of not very good games. Also super easy on battery life and playing the game doesn’t seem to even change the temperature of the phone, let alone get even slightly warmer. Solid port overall I would say.

I love it, but..

I don’t write reviews. But I have to for this one. This game is wonderful. But after putting in quite a few runs I’ve figured out what I don’t like about this game. It’s the battles that from the get go, you’re facing an attack of 30-40 damage. And it keeps being that way round after round. It’s just not possible to block all of that unless your entire hand is defensive cards, and you can’t get through it with more than half your health. Then a couple battles later, you hit another one. You can have what feels like a perfect run going, great cards, great relics and still not be able to make it. If you’ve only done a few runs, you won’t understand yet. I grab every defensive card I can to try and counter this and it still isn’t enough. When you’ve grabbed every defensive card you’ve had an option to get and then your hand comes up with no defense in it and the enemy is about to hit you for 37… and then if there were more ways to regain HP other than only 30% once or twice per act.. but when they can hit you in one turn for more than you can heal at the campfire.. the game went from fantastic, to frustrating, now I’m probably done with it.

Pretty fun, but not listening to fan feedback

This is actually my first time playing this game, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was! The biggest, most glaring issue is the awful controls on iPad. You’re unable to read any cards in your hand until you tap on it (or try to, the game seems to bring up a different card about a third of the time). Then, if you decide not to play that card, good luck putting that card back into your hand! I’ve accidentally played so many cards in only my first run, and the way the controls work for your hand of cards is abysmal. I was surprised to see that this game has existed in essentially the exact same form for iOS for over three years, and sure enough, tons of the reviews for that game mention the same issue. Whoever is responsible for this version, *please* just finally listen to fan feedback and fix the awful controls. It really is a fun game othetwise!

Great game, and a waste of time

Slay the Spire joins Hearthstone and Magic: the Gathering as a compelling, indulgent luxury for anyone looking to escape the stresses of reality (I'm looking at you, anthropogenic climate change) and embrace a clear but artificial sense of purpose towards which you have agency. It's all about the journey and its interesting choices, but then how do you feel afterwards? Unlike after a story in which I have no control (other than to generate the imagery as with a book, or imagine what the characters in a movie are feeling), and am thus witness to the philosophy and values of the author(s), this game is in the Choose Your Own Adventure category and as such doesn't leave me with much to chew on afterwards except from a game-design perspective. For me, games like this are unhealthy. I hope your use of them is not to delay growth into a meaningful adulthood too much; like the character climbing the spire, it's okay to stop. Choose your path(s) and keep iterating!

A top game on Apple Arcade

This game is really fun, it was easy to understand and get the hang of. It’s always fun when you die and get to see the new loot you unlock from playing a character, and each character has a slightly different play style so you can pick which one fits you best. There are a few comments that complain about this game being locked at 30 fps, I don’t mind it. As someone who grew up using a ps2, 30 fps is not out of the ordinary. Most runs do end up boiling down to luck though, you kinda have to cross your fingers that you get good cards and hope for a boss that won’t utterly destroy you. For some people this will be a deal breaker, for me however it ramps up the fun of playing. I got this game to play it while on a few hour road trip, it ended up working totally fine offline. Definitely a good card based rpg, I would totally recommend.

Great game with a fantastic gameplay loop, bug(s)

I’ll just start off by saying the game is fantastic. Excellent gameplay, functional controls and plenty of replayability. My only issue with this game so far has been with its progression system. At some point, while leveling all characters to max I guess I just wasn’t awarded the relic unlocks I was supposed to be. All my characters are now max, and I have every relic in the game unlocked, save for one relic in each rarity, which remained, and still remains locked. I have tried troubleshooting this error myself, but because you cannot modify an App’s files on iPhone, I have been unable to find any applicable solutions. This by no means ruins the game, however I would love the added variability that the extra relics would bring; especially the boss relic that I’m missing (Pandora’s box).

Amusing, but some game play issues

This game is reasonably enjoyable. Although there is strategy involved, you can capture the gist of game play pretty quickly. As a number of reviews indicate, the interface for viewing cards is not very good on the iPad and can result in the accidental playing of a card. The concept of the basic game is to make repeated runs with weak, doomed characters as you unlock additional characters, attacks, defenses and buffs. That is less satisfactory to me than a more strategy-focused game, and I doubt that I will keep replaying in order to unlock enough content to make a serious run. The daily challenge runs seem easier and more fun, because you are not as powerless or likely to end up stuck against an enemy you cannot possibly defeat. Also, there is no desktop version.

Slaps. Hard

Gave this a shot since it came with Apple Arcade. This game slaps hard. I remember seeing my brother start playing it on steam a while back, and I took a look and thought it wasn’t for me. Gave this game a shot and I’ve probably spent 100 hours playing the last two weeks. Super addictive and challenging. Was hoping that the “expansion” was available to try the new game modes, but sounds like Downfall is only available via steam through a community mod. Either way I purchased the game on steam and plan on spending much more time playing. Took me a while to “complete a run” but was able to do so with ironclad and then the watcher. Still working on silent, and haven’t had a chance to run with The defect. Overall a great experience and a must try game.

A modern classic, with one key improvement for the Arcade version

So I’ve been playing this game for years now—I bought the game back when it was still a $20 purchase, and felt like I really got my money’s worth out of it. But over the years I occasionally deleted it from my phone for various reasons, and would lose all my progress each time I did so. The lack of any sort of cloud save was my only complaint about the original app. So imagine my pleasant surprise when I experimented with the Apple Arcade version, and discovered everything that was great about the original app, *and* has saves that persist even when you delete and re-install the app. It’s such a nice little quality-of-life improvement to what was already an amazing game.

Awesome game, hard to read the cards

This game is really great, a friend recommended it because I enjoy physical TCGs. I have a lot of fun with all the different deckbuilding strategies, the combinations of enemies, and the daily challenges. But I can only play it for 20-30 minutes at the time because it’s hard on my eyes to stare at the screen trying to read the tiny card text. I even have the bigger text mode enabled! This mode helps a lot but doesn’t appear to effect the card text. Would really appreciate a mode where everything could be even bigger, especially when selecting a new card, there’s tons of empty space on the screen to blow the options up some. Trying to avoid needing reading glasses before I’m 30 🤣

3dzebraVersion: 1.03
It’s a skill issue

I have seen many reviews stating the game is inconsistent and mini bosses and bosses are too hard, while there are times where a bad draw will ruin your run there are ways to remove cards from your deck to make your deck smaller and more consistent implementing draw cards and needed statuses to make fights easier. I’ve played a total of 15 times on mobile and won 11 out of the 15 in total. There certainly is a learning curve to this game, but implementing the right strategies and adapting your play style to what the game is providing you after beating normal enemies and bosses will lead to success overall. If you love to discover interesting strategies on the 4 different characters you can play as you’ll enjoy this deck building game. If you find yourself constantly losing try a different approach and carefully read the cards and think about how they might synergies with each other to scale your damage and block needed to survive and to slay the spire! Great game, massively addicting, and a large online community. 5/5 for me would recommend to anyone looking to get into the rougelike deck building genre.

AwesomeCreepVersion: 1.03
Great game, could use controller support though

Love this game and have already spent many hours on my phone and on my computer playing it and will spend many more unlocking cards and characters. Tons of fun figuring out strategies that work best with each character. Doesn’t make sense that it doesn’t have controller support. It’s available on the PC version so it should be possible. With phone controllers becoming more mainstream, it should be a no brainer.

Great game but minor sound bug

I have a iphone 13 pro there is a bug if you have the sounded muted on phone with the switch. Using Bluetooth , when you launch the game you have sound for apple arcade splash screen, soon as the other logos come up the sound cuts out. The work around to fix this, is turn the mute switch off , boot the game up sound works fine on phones speakers. Turn on blutooth now there is sound through headset. This is the only way to get sound to work on blutooth with or without the mute switch turned off or on.

This is a masterpiece

I feel like I don’t need to say more than that this is possibly the best game Apple has gotten onto the arcade, but I am just gonna say some things anyway. Personally, I use The Defect the most but with the 4 characters to choose from, (and along with character unique cards) there’s nothing that really needs to be changed! I personally can only get to the city, but I still enjoy just playing the game anyways! I really hope you enjoy this game as much as I do, so get it!

Can’t advance through rounds *Edit

*Edit - for the pc later out there - to advance to the next round you press and hold on the “End Turn” button. Maybe this was in the tutorial but with hundreds of hours on the pc I skipped the tutorial and went right to playing. The game seems to be the game I love from the pc. One thing would help if the card got a lot bigger when you clicked it. On my iPhone the text is slightly hard to read. Makes me want to buy an iPad. 5 stars. Original review: Slay the Spire is a 10+ game. In my version when I click “end turn” the button lights up. I hear a click. But the game does not advance. I abandoned 2 runs and it happens both times. I love this game, please fix this bug. Once I can advance through rounds I will rate this 5. Is this a know bug and how do you fix it?

I’m impressed! Hundreds of hours

I honestly want to work for this company in the future. Such a polished and complete experience. Balanced and if you want to break the game, play in custom mode with endless on. Total timing playing this game is about 115 hours and counting. It’s a blast. I want more games like this one. So many skills, attacks, powers, relics, blights, and mods. I hope to see updates adding more relics but at the same time. This game is complete and I’m happy with this.

Fantastic Game

This is by far one of my favorite card games, with a unique deck, enemies, and rule sets. Just amazing. "Bigger Text" on iPhone is NOT PERCEPTIBLE, please make a tick or two bigger! I can see the difference playing on my iPad, but it is hardly usable on my iPhone. It's quite a struggle to read descriptions with it on, and I honestly can not see a difference between Large and Small text options. Please add more options for the regular user!

TITANEUMVersion: 1.03
I Really Want to Like It

The concept is awesome. Balance, not so much. I want to like it, it’s fun to play but also intensely frustrating. There is no sense of progression as the game starts at the beginning each time you play and the randomness of the deck can lead to irritating early-game losses that prevent any forward progress. I’ve played quite a few games and end in relatively the same place each time. I want to like it but find myself so frustrated I just can’t.

Please fix!!!

This is my favorite game ever I play it every day but as of yesterday there is new bug where whenever I try to end my turn the button doesn’t register, So I physically can’t play the game. I’m not sure if this is an issue with my phone in particular or if it’s endemic, but I would love to regain access to the app. Love u guys Edit nvm I just had long-press confirmation turned on. Perfect game 11/10

Excellent roguelike with just a tiny porting issue

This is a great addition to the roguelike-like genre. It takes some time to learn how to select cards for synergy, but once you get on a good run, it feels so good. My only complaint here is that on a phone the text and little status icon numbers are too small. Needs to be like 50% bigger because I am getting some serious eye strain over here

Download it!

Best deck building game out there! (With the exception of wild frost). I own it on switch also, and while I’m relatively new to it, (Beat the game 3 times), it’s one of my all time favorites! It’s difficult being a rouge-like game, but you can make you own custom runs to fit you own difficulty level. Download it already! (If you would want to buy it on steam, the mod, downfall, adds so much more to the game).

One of the BEST games ever created.

I have sunk over 450 hours into this game on other platforms and only discovered it was on Apple Arcade this whole time??? This game is my addiction, pulling you into it’s endless gameplay loop. Once you get it… good luck trying to put this game down for hours without needing the urge to pick it up. MegaCrit bravo on this masterpiece of a video game. P.S hopefully one day we get a sequel it deserves.

Great game

I’ve only had this game for a few weeks and I’m addicted to it and I managed to get to the top 1% which is neat.I wish I could play this without having to get arcade. The replay ability of this game is incredible especially the daily challenge. Im not sure what beating a run does it like hurts the spire but it just says damage done can you actually kill it or am I just dumb.

Amazing!

For a few years, I thought I had grown out of playing video games because I could never find a game that would hold my attention for longer than an hour or two. StS has restored my faith and interest in games once again! I’m excited for StS2 and to see what else the devs have planned for the future.

Great game, bad mobile controls

I own this game on almost every platform. I love it that much. But the mobile/ipad version controls are very iffy. I’ve played a lot of other card based games on mobile and the controls feel so much smoother and more responsive. I accidentally play cards I don’t mean to frequently. If they could fix this, I’d say it’s a perfect game

Great Game

I had seen this game on pc, and wanted to check it out but didn’t until I saw it came out on Apple Arcade. The game is a very fun mix of a dungeon crawler and rogue like and I love the deck building aspect. All the characters are great and introduce unique play styles too. One thing I do wish is that there is more content somehow albeit another area or something else entirely.

BaloniRoniVersion: 1.02
Great variety

This game has a ton of strategy and I’m enjoying it. But I wanted to request a few things to help fix: 1) when swiping up from the bottom on an iPhone to get out of the app, I often play a card. Oops. Please move placement of the card or require another confirmation. 2) sometimes the choices in “?” Events say you will receive a relic or curse. But if you tap the option to review, you select it. You have to hold your finger on the option to review the item. However some parts of the game have a “confirm” button. Please make consistent as I forget and suddenly I’m accepting a curse I just wanted to review! Great game

Amazing game with great flow!

If you’re a dungeon crawling lover this is the game for you! I’m surprised how well StS is made and you can just tell the amount of time it took for the developers to make what they envisioned. Slay The Spire+ Negative Reviews and Ratings

A great movement to the apple arcade, but where is the 120fps???

First I totally congratulate you for entering the apple arcade. As a player in this platform and other platforms like steam(most played) and Nintendo switch before, I really want to know that, why you do not update the 120fps option for this game??? Did You all not know how much this option matters for the whole game?? I must say that you have developed one of the best card rogue-like game but, why? Is the playing experience like an iPad Pro 12.9 5th generation(2021) or newer models’ user should be in a 30fps gaming condition? That is what you want most??? How ridiculous it is?? For the last time, I could adopt that because you have not updated it for almost one year and I have several platforms to play this game but now I am confused that you are launching “plus” version and updated recently! Is the development of 120fps option for even only iPad Pro after 2021 models such a tough one to do? Why??? If A12X and A12Z has some technical issues I can understand, but I'd rather believe it's your problem than the M1 chip or newer type chips like the M2. That is totally a joke that M1 could not afford your game for 120fps. This chip can even do a bit of hard work on the platforms like laptops. If this chip can not provide a smooth experience for your game, a 2D-card rogue-like game, honestly, that is definitely stupid. I really want this option can be updated next! WE NEED 120FPS GAMING EXPERIENCE ON THIS GAME!!!!!!

S**t30fpsVersion: 1.03
Great game but too unbalanced

Really live the style and concept of this game, but of course every game has some drawbacks. The game is too unbalanced when it comes to boss fights and mini bosses too. A good example would be the huge head mini boss, Huge head will deal about 50 to 60 damage per turn and has up to 300 hp which makes it impossible to beat, since there’s no way I have enough cards to block 60 damage each turn. Also considering that cards deal so little damage compared to bosses and provide very little block. Almost all bosses are like this which makes the game impossible to beat. I have been playing this game for weeks now and still haven’t beaten standard. In terms of healing, there is no healing. The only way to heal is at rest points, downside is that you need to find the right path that has a lot of rest points, which of course there’s no pint since bosses are too overpowered. Healing is almost impossible really while enemies have the power to heal, another reason the game is unbalanced. The game is great and fun at times, but it’s not worth the original price of 10 dollars for the version outside of arcade, if it works the same way, which I bet it does.

Terrible, if not THE worst mobile port I’ve ever seen

In a half way decent deck builder, all you have to do is make looking at and using the cards easy, and at the least mid grade satisfying…. However, you decided to make EVERY card in your hand 50% out of screen. This wouldn’t be a problem if when u just tapped on a card to see it, the card description got displayed, but that’s not even close to what happens… No, the card gets stuck half way out of screen, over, and over, and over, and… Even if u drag it out of your hand and all over the screen, your thumb entirely covers the micro sized text description. Even better, while contorting your fingers and hands all over the place just to read what the card does, you’ll find that you’ve inadvertently picked up a different card that no one in their right mind would play. Or, it just uses the card you’ve drug all over the screen for the last five minutes because you can’t see the description, only to find out it wasn’t one you thought it was… and then lose. Controls, animations, and basic functionality for these games are literally amateur level. How did u manage to make this (literally) borderline unplayable?

ScootzzsVersion: 2.6.0
The game is great on the surface.

Look the game is really really fun. It’s very addictive to play. The mechanics are easy to learn, but quite difficult to master trying to remember the specific deck builds can be difficult as well being as it’s almost completely randomized each time. I have seen instances where the bosses and mini bosses are almost impossible to beat like the game is programmed against you. One tiny little drawback or bad hand can be the one thing needed to ruin your entire play through. There is too much randomization in this game. Doesn’t allow for any structured builds making it a percentage chance that each play through will be a successful one. Now I understand that’s how most games are supposed to be although this game seems to not have enough consistency to get a hold on your play through before it’s too late. Meaning unless you get a stellar deck build early on with some decent relics you’re pretty much screwed by the time you get to the first boss.

HaoplintVersion: 1.03
RNG is terrible and enemies are too tough too soon

I’ve played for hours, learning each character and developing strategies along the way, even making it to the 2nd and 3rd floors. Unfortunately, far too many runs have been ruined by poor loot pools hindering me from getting stronger and the enemies are far too deadly even on the first floor. Like, what do you mean that all enemies are gonna hit for 24 damage each and I have no shield cards in my hand? “Oh? It’s because you’ve been too busy trying to survive this whole game because they would’ve killed you each round up until now if I didn’t defend and now all my defensive cards are discarded? Tough luck I guess.” If buffs for enemies didn’t stack infinitely or debuffs weren’t nearly always applied to me every match the game would be more possible. In the end, I don’t have ability to enjoy the game since I repeatedly die before I even defeat the first boss. If you like an unreasonably more difficult version of “Inscryption” then this is for you.

I’ve played this game before on Xbox and loved it. The gameplay is unique and easy to understand, however this version has a few major issues. Additionally there is one issue that I have with all versions. First is the low frame rate (30fps) which usually isn’t a problem but can be a bit annoying. Secondly the card placement is directly on top of the home swipe feature on newer iPhones. The amount of times I’ve accidentally played a card when I was trying to exit the game is ridiculous. Additionally playing a custom run loses your win streak. This isn’t much of an issue but if you care about bragging rights it kind of locks you into just playing the normal mode. The last issue I have is that beating the final boss with the watcher is practically impossible. Every other character is relatively easy, but the watcher has too many cards that only work with a specific build or can otherwise actively harm you. It requires extreme luck with both cards you obtain and the ones that you draw. The only time I was able to do it was with 5 mark cards in my deck, and in total I’ve played about 30 hours exclusively trying to beat the game with the watcher (games usually take an hour and a half if you reach the end).

It’s addicting as equally frustrating

I have literally only one draw back with this game. I have played it solid for about two weeks now maybe a little more . Close to everything unlocked that can be with out clearing the spire once . The last character is locked behind completion of the spire which is pretty understandable. The rogue element is unforgiving to say the least which isn’t inherently a bad thing . My complaint if I have to put it into a sentence. 3 weeks of play all cards unlocked and I can’t even sniff the top part of the 3rd level yet alone the boss. Balancing would be my suggestion I’m just not sure how . Even though I went on a rant there a little bit . In every other way you’d judge a video game let alone a mobile game this one honestly knocks it out of the park 🔥

Interesting but frustrating

It’s not a bad game. But it’s rather frustrating. First, it’s super difficult to work with the cards. It’s impossible to read their effect without dragging them out of the hand. But doing so risks using the card or the game getting confused about what you’re trying to do. Second, act 2’s difficulty is WAY above that of act 1. I’m sure there are subsequent acts, but I doubt I’ll ever see them. Mostly because it’s too frustrating to stick with the game to learn the ins and outs that would be needed to maybe stand a chance at the higher acts.

Kluge

So this was my first experience with this game. For me a major point for a deck game to have an actual deck, the kind that goes in your own two hands. During battle you need to make a way back to your phone Home Screen that doesn’t involve fighting with cards as try to slide the game off the screen. Then there is the card play in battle. You have to touch a card to see it. Trying to get it back down without actually playing it is sometimes tricky. Perhaps sliding the card, like defense cards, onto the table and a second touch to actually play it? I don’t know. It’s all klugy.

Great game, terrible UI

For a game this fun the user interface is unforgivably bad. There’s no simple way to actually read your cards without risking accidentally playing them, which can ruin your whole turn. Instead of playing the game I spend my time trying to read my own cards in my own hard without playing them or accidentally selecting a different card. The fact that there’s no settings options to change this makes it even more frustrating. It’s like no attempt was made to make the app enjoyable to use.

Wish it was ported a little better.

Very fun game! Can get a bit repetitive at times, but overall pretty addicting. I just wish this was optimized for mobile a little better. Text is small and sometimes it’s easy to accidentally click the wrong thing at times. Also wish there was a way to play vertically. Because of that, the playing experience is much better on my computer. I’ll only be playing this version if I’m out and about and need a distraction.

Bad touch optimization

It’s just too hard to play on iPhone. Cards are essentially stuck at the bottom and often too difficult to read or half covered up. You have slide them to the middle to be able to read them and hope they don’t accidentally get slid into play. Icons in the corners blend into the corners of the display, text is often hidden “underneath” the Face ID camera, text size is too small and not adjustable. It’s just poorly laid out for a small display. Other similar games like Hearthstone handle this form factor much much better.

Touch screen for the phone is almost unplayable

Whoever released this game hasn’t played it on mobile because the touch screen and sensitivity is broken. you can’t touch the screen or see the info on a card without playing it. i can’t even scroll down and look without it pressing. Just so terrible to have games like this in the Arcade that people don’t even test out themselves. the fact you can’t even click a card for info properly separate from the fact in a fight it’s impossible to maneuver

Horrible port, but great game

This port is pretty bad. The amount of times my phone has minimized the app when dragging a card to attack, played a card when all I did was press it once to read a description, delete a card on one press, remove things without confirmation and play cards because I was trying to read the description is ridiculous. It’s clunky and makes quality of life so bad. I won’t be keeping Apple Arcade for this game, and I wouldn’t buy it personally. I’d rather just get it on my laptop/computer and play it there

Good game bad controls

The concept is fun, but for a game that realies on touching and swiping, There is far too much incorrect input. For example, when you try to touch and drag a card to see what the text is half The card is hidden, so you can’t read it. And then, sometimes you try to drag a card to attack and an enemy, and for some reason another card plays ruining your turn. Since there is no undo this kind of messes up the game. So three stars.

Fun, but save game is broken

This is an engaging and fun game, as I am sure most people have discovered by now. However in this version, save is broken. No matter how you exit, it forgets the last room you were on and makes you repeat it. Also the UI is quirky, sometimes tapping just a little wrong on a card plays it inadvertently, especially if you are trying to read it before play.

You won't feel accomplished

This loop of winning and earning few upgrades just to repeat the same loop over and over and over again just doesn't feel rewarding. don't get me wrong, the game mechanics is decent, but theres a lot of RPG card game that's more rewarding and has more storyline. i just don't get why developers don't listen to comments like this. A lot of your customers been asking for this years ago, why not listen to them and improve this game?

Great game with bad UI\UX on IOS

Great game with big UI problems even on a 13 inch screen. I can’t keep track of how many times I accidentally skipped a relic reward because skip button suddenly located on place of accept button for relic screen. Cards that do not require target are super easy to cast accidentally. Lots os empty space on the screen, that could be used for cards or effect icons. UI/UX designer is the main boss of this port

WwizzardryVersion: 1.03
Interesting game, bad controls

The game itself has a lot of depth and replayability, but considering that 80%+ of your interactions will be with inspecting or dragging cards, oof. No easy way to consistently and quickly preview a card, sometimes dragging one will pick up another instead, just really, really fidgety. It makes the experience just frustrating enough to not be worth playing, IMO.

Fun but fonts too small

Enjoyed the game but after playing for half an hour I had eye strain. The fonts are just too small, would love to keep playing but not worth it.

Very annoying ui

The UI is clumsy… I messed up so many runs by accidentally selecting the wrong card (trying to click to read but card gets played) or choosing a wrong reward or prompt when really just trying to get the pop up with info. Really sucks to blow a game after 1h of game play because of UI… no undo button either…

TheEngineer115Version: 1.03
Text WAY too small

Game may be good, but is unplayable for me on iPhone XR due to small text, even with larger text selected.

The Game is Spectacular… the iOS implementation isn’t

Way too many UI issues on this version. I inadvertently play cards all the time while trying to leave the app, or if I change my mind on card choice. It’s very difficult to interact with the bottom of the screen where the cards are due to the iOS interface. They don’t completely ruin the experience but they can definitely ruin a run if you’re not careful. Needs to be addressed. The gameplay is fantastic though, and if they can’t fix it on here, it’s worth trying another platform.

Sw0rdfishVersion: 1.03
Please fix controls

Game is good but the controls are so poor. It is so easy to accidentally play cards when just trying to look at them, and this has been an issue for OVER FIVE YEARS! Really should be fixed by now. Also parts of the UI get cut off near the corners of the screen.

Great game, Lazy port

I’ve got 3k ish hours on PC, 5 hours into the mobile version and I’m about to just stop playing forever. Please play test the interface on literally any phone, because it shows. If you end up playing the card you actually intended to play, kudos.

Good game, save problems.

Lost my progress, yet the achievements stay the same.?? How could it be possible? I had the forth character unlock, then open the game this morning tho find out it not unlock anymore, yet the game history shows the game I played with the character. I’m really mad and disappointed. Should I keep playing or will I lose my progress again? The game is awesome but really not so great if I keep loosing my progress. Plz help me…
