DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT Positive Reviews

Such a beautiful, but slow-paced gameThis game is unlike any other game I've ever played. For perspective, I enjoy the loneliness of games like Fallout. I even enjoy the slower pace of those games, but this takes slower pace to a new level. Most of that is due to the long cut scenes, which you can skip, but I feel like you're missing out on the artistry of the game if you do that. At one point I'd been sitting still for so long that my wife said, "Are you watching a movie? I thought you were playing a game." The gameplay itself is great! I'm playing with a controller on my iPad and Mac. The graphic details are amazing, and the sound effects and music are spot-on. This I've had some crashing issues on my 11" M1 iPad Pro. My M1 Mac Mini does fine. I've tried propping up my iPad so it has good airflow around the back with no case, and that seems to be better. When the iPad is in the Magic Keyboard, it seems to crash more frequently. More T&E needed to solve that unless they release an update that addresses that..Version: 1.1.2

I don't know if I should thank Tim Cook or thank Hideo Kojima.Death Stranding is so much fun! Just before I finish the game (the power went out outside, otherwise I would have finished it already), I want to praise this game and my MacBook Pro (2021, 16-inch). This is the first time in two and a half years since I bought it that I have felt that this is a device that can get hot, has a fan, and uses a battery (it offers the same experience as the daily use Intel MacBook Pro without gaming, haha.). The gaming experience it brings is perfect: the mini-LED backlight allows for a large amount of sky and light sources to be presented in HDR in the game; although it is only equipped with the M1 Pro 16GB of unified memory, its graphics processing power can maintain almost 120Hz stably ((it seems to me is.) , at 2560*1440 with "very high" quality), w/ or w/o power connected. This also means that I can play a 3A wherever and whenever I want (on the other hand, game saves can also be continued on iPhone, which is really great). Next, I will continue playing Death Stranding without plugging in, hoping to completely drain my battery until it's below 80% health (currently at 87%) before the AC three-year warranty expires. This MBP has been the most powerful and favorite among all the Macs and PCs I have used so far. I don't know if I should thank Tim Cook or thank Hideo Kojima, but playing Death Stranding on my MBP has been the first happy event of my 2024..Version: 1.1.3

Wow!This game is a 5 star that’s a 3 for reasons which should easily be fixed. I’m anticipating these being addressed but it’d be nice to have some communication from the devs. I’m shocked this is on an iPhone. Some people have reviewed this and said it doesn’t look good. That’s untrue. Generally it runs and looks great! Here’s what it needs: 1. Crashing must be addressed. I have to save the game every 2-3 minutes because the game goes through areas where it crashes a lot, then moments where it’s fine. Auto save every few minutes would help. The game needs graphics settings. I prefer lower graphics without metal fx because I don’t like upscaling blur. Please provide us these options similar to how resident evil did. TLDR: looks great plays great, those clowning on it are wrong. -Crashing is an issue, goes through waves of crashing, then none, then crash again putting you way back to a previous save/location. -need auto save -need graphics options, not all like metal fx upscaling. Opinion: If those needs are met this is 5 star. If not, and crashing doesn’t get fixed, it’s a cool demo of a17, and fundamentally unplayable in the long term, all while being disappointing to us who want mobile AAA to take off NOW :) Please devs, fulfill its potential..Version: 1.1.2

Very well made gameIf you would have told me 5 years ago that and iPhone and/or iPad would be able to run AAA games like this, I would have laughed and walked away. Here we are in 2024 with one of the best titles available for exactly those devices. I’m blown away at how smooth my M2 iPad pro 12.9 inch runs this game. I hear many complaints about the clarity of the game on both iPhone and iPad but lets get really people, this game is running on devices with nothing but passive cooling to keep your devices from vaporizing. Sacrifices must be made to achieve this goal and I must say Kojima Productions have done a beautiful job. I really hope this game starts the trend for more AAA releases on IOS and Mac OS. The one complaint I do have is with the virtual controller, I find it very hard to use so I use a PS4 controller instead, which I prefer anyway. That said, I’m really not sure how you can do the virtual controller better without making it harder to select the correct action you want. Keep up the great work and I look forward to future titles landing on IOS and Mac OS..Version: 1.1.2

The game is good. Everything mac is the weird part.In a strange turn of events apple is the user experience problem here. Most of the problems with the game are due to the mac and not the game itself. You'll have to activate apples "game center" registration. Otherwise the icon just displays in the lower app tray. Nothing happens. You'll have to force quit and then activate game center for it to work. Also, be advised that it's not intuitive playing this on a home TV. I use the xbox controller and it works fine but it's clunky getting the console experience on a tv with your laptop. Sometimes the game has the white app top bar other times the screen just goes black and I have to touch the mac mouse pad to "wake" it up. This might be due to my energy saving/screen settings. Basically I sit with the laptop half open and the screen blacked out connected to an hdmi to my 4k tv ready to stirr the laptop when the screen goes black. I want games on mac to work but I'm coming from consoles not PC's. It's a little more fuss than I'd like right now but the game seems to be worth all that. I'm sure apple could make the game vibe right it they tried..Version: 1.1.0

Needs a Apple Arcade Game Store TreatmentThis game truly shows what Apple Silicon is capable of! It's a technical marvel to see it run on everything including an iPhone. But where Apple has let us down is presenting it on the weekest digital market place avaiable, which employs no supportive features for gaming what so ever. It's time to break Apple Arcade off as a stand alone app, give it it's own store and make it a true gaming platfrom akin to Valve's Steam game store with features gamers need to manage our games and connect with other players. I bought this game simply to show that there is bourgeoning interest in gaming on the Mac, but until Apple is able to create a gaming platform and store seperate of the abismal Mac Store I'd rather continue buying my games on Steam. I'm sincerely hoping that these relationships with AAA developers is also driving a new game platform in the background and that we'll see something this year at WWDC. That will be when Apple has truely turned a corner. Great work on this game! The future is bright!.Version: 1.1.0

Graphics + Keyboard ControlsOverall, the game feels amazing and l’m really glad they brought keyboard and mouse support but there are two things l’m hoping they can bring to make my review higher, 1. Keyboard and Mouse Ui issues - l’m so happy a triple a game has come to the iPad and with the add on with keyboard and mouse support. I wish all the Ui in the game can show all the controls when the keyboard is connected because l’m having a hard time trying to figure out what controls are what 2. Graphics - I’m playing on the M2 version on the iPad and some scenes in the game from just standing out in the mountain and other parts of the game just makes everything looks so low resolution. I also hope we can get a option for a graphics menu to hopefully see that we can make the resolution a little better but l feel like the resolution is sitting at 720p at some scenes in the game Overall, the game feels amazing and l love the work they done and l’m hoping the bring more of their games to the App Store.Version: 1.1.3

Mixed emotionsI am beyond happy this game is available now on iOS. The music and beauty of this game shine through, especially on a mobile platform. A few complaints which honestly do not detract from this game. First, the virtual control system is a bit cumbersome and hard at times to do multiple things (RT+LT+walking). It is a bit touchy when trying to map out routes as well. This could probably be fixed with an external controller. Next, my phone gets remarkably hot running this thing for longer that 10-15 minutes at a time. It also has some tendency to freeze mid cut scene or action and waits for the system to catch up. Also I’ve had a few crashes..Version: 1.1.1

What a time to be alive to have games like this on your phoneI would like to say the graphics are top-notch fantastic. If you will still surprise you can do this on the phone these days the controls are great it’s only been two hours and I’m really enjoying it. This is the soul reason I returned my iPhone 15 Pro and went for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is the first max I’ve ever owned, my very first iPhone was a 6S then from the six I went to the A+ from the iPhone 8 Plus. I went to the iPhone 11 to 12 to the 12th to the 13th to 15 and then a 15 pro and the 15 Pro max just for this reason it takes a little battery but nothing too bad if you sit there and play for eight hours probably gonna change everything but a couple hours here and there it’s perfect great job and can’t be depressed at 20 bucks which president evil four should have been as well, but that’s for another review.Version: 1.1.1

Simply AmazingI am not going to review the gameplay as this is a port and numerous outlets and people have already done this. I will say the game might not be for everyone but I am thoroughly enjoying I! And for $20 for both MacOS and iOS, it cannot be beat. I would recommend either playing with a game controller or bluetooth mouse and keyboard for the full experience. Now onto gameplay. I have noticed some reviews of people saying they had download or or playability issues but I have had 0. I am playing at max graphics setting on an M1 Max MBP and the game is stunning. I have not run into a single frame drop, glitch or crash in over 6 hours of gameplay. Thank you to Kojima Productiuons for creating such a beautiful and unique game and a huge thanks to 505 games for bringing this stellar AAA title to mac! Please bring more like it..Version: 1.1.0

A deep and bizarre contemplative experienceCalling this the director's cut is appropo because there are A LOT of cut scenes with so much acting. No doubt the many a-list actors enjoyed this project. If you're a really impatient gamer who just wants to go already, you can still skip. But you'd miss a ton of story and atmosphere. In fact the cutscenes are so numerous and long that it's hard to find a place to stop and save! Acting and story seems to be at least as important as playing. The play consists, at least in the beginning, of looong, huffing runs in desloate landscapes in between managing your porter's techy pack. You have to think often and deeply about how best to manage different kinds of cargo in challenging landscapes. At least there are weird surprises and the concept is a new level of twisty body/supernatural horror that only the Japanese can bring to life. Highly recommended (though likely for a more contemplative gamer). Couple hoops to take care of: - Apparently must have much more than 80Gb of dsik space to play on MacOS (some reviewer claimed double is required to get it running). Not sure about iPadOS/iOS. - Gamer Center (which is tied to an Apple ID) must be active for app to launch..Version: 1.1.0

Well done KojiPro 505, brilliant & seamlessI played the original game on ps4 in 2020, so I already know how stunning this game is and a unique experience. Wanted to have a re-run after the announcement of DS2 but I waited for DS Director's Cut on Mac. Honestly blown away by how well it's running on my Macbook Pro M2 (base model). I keep all other apps closed and it runs on very high quality graphics. Have also tried twitch streaming simultaneously for my friend to watch the game and yet my base model is handling it without issues. Shows how well optimized it is and how capable Apple's new silicon chips are (without being the maxed out models). So glad KojiPro and Apple along with 505 Games have managed this as it sets a precedent for more games to make it to Apple OS. Can't wait for DS2!.Version: 1.1.0

Awesome game, but poor adaptaionBeen 40 hours in this game. There’s nothing to complain on the game itself. It provides the same amazing experience as when I played the pc version on release. However, there’re some serious optimization issue I have to mention during my play through. 1. A seemly memory leak. As I play the game continuously, it becomes more and more lagging and then freeze eventually. None of my playing section last for more than 3 hours because of that. And I have to save the game constantly to not lose any progress. 2. No vibration on my controller. Controller vibration is such an important part in this game. It’s a pity I don’t get to experience on this edition. 3. The graphic quality drops a lot and it appear blurred constantly when I’m in accelerating mode on an vehicle. I’m running on iPad Pro 11” 3rd gen with a xbox controller..Version: 1.1.2

I can't believe this game runs this good (and is this good)When this game came out, I didn't pay any attention because I do not own a Playstation. However, it looked interesting and Kojima is... interesting. I missed out. This game is incredible and I think it is a fantastic experience. The story is gripping and the gameplay is surprisingly fun and engaging. Here is the craziest part: I am playing on a base model M2 Mac Mini and the graphics are SHOCKINGLY good. I have noticed only 2 hitches in cutscenes, and playing the game is flawless. I'm sure I'm missing out somewhere, but it's well above 60 frames a second and everything is snappy. This encourages me a great deal for Mac gaming. We need more studios to take this gamble and pay off this big..Version: 1.1.3

A case for the mobile appRight out the door I’ll admit I don’t have a compatible device. Intro price was right, and the platform it’s being released on (iOS/macOS) is a feature. Hear me out. If you’re not playing on a Sony console, your only options aside from this new Apple App Store offering are PC platforms (Xbox PC, Steam, Epic). These PC versions are likely the most accessible editions, but I don’t think most consider that not all PCs are built equal. What this means practically is, if you’re playing on hardware that doesn’t quite make the quality control cut, some moments of the story could be ruined. There’s a cutscene with Mama just past Ch 4 that was somewhat ruined for me because my machine did not render her body— just her eyeballs, and floating objects she was apparently physically holding. Playing on a hardware platform that has limited hardware variables (such as any PS4, PS5, or Apple A17 or M1 equipped hardware) means key cutscenes like the one I described will more than likely be experienced as intended. The fact you get both the mobile iOS version and the macOS version in one purchase is very convenient. Love the idea of having this portable..Version: 1.1.2

Weirdly addictive gameFirst of all, ignore the reviews that are knocking the game for the problems with downloading via the App Store and not talking about the game itself. The game is outstanding! I'm running at 4K 60 fps on my M1 Max base model Mac Studio. It is gorgeous to look at and the Sony Decima engine is breathtaking. I thought I wouldn't enjoy this game because at its essence you are a porter running around delivering various things. However, was I wrong! There is something addictive and calming about guiding Norman Reedus around this world making deliveries. I never thought I'd enjoy this game as much as I do because I typically only play FPS like Call of Duty. Give this game a try if you're looking for somethign different..Version: 1.1.0

Phenomenal port, but wished it had graphics settings.Everything you’d expect from Death Stranding is here, but with a cost to resolution and frame rate. If you’re playing this on an iPhone, you won’t even notice it because of the smaller screen. However, this comes at the cost of what I assume to be MetalFX trying to upscale the image, only for it to come out a bit blurry. The game itself will heat up your phone quite a bit, and I hope patches and optimization fixes are coming to fix the heat issue, the frame rate, and a way to implement graphics settings so I can customize the visual aspect of the game to my liking. This is a fantastic port that I can see becoming even more stable as more patches are released, which I hope continues to be supported. (Device: iPhone 15 Pro).Version: 1.1.3

New Platform, Same Great GameThe original game was amazing running on my Steam Deck, but now that its on iOS portability is beyond compare. The virtual controls work seamlessly and you can tell that they actually put thought into it. The only two things that would make it 5/5 is that: it has a bug on ios where after a while of no use (and having manually saved) it appears as if there wasn't any save data but when I fully close and reopen the app it shows the continue button, and any type of graphics control on ios would be extremely welcome.Version: 1.1.0

Mind blowing experienceI've played this on Windows, had to see the difference on a Mac. Runs flawlessly. I can't believe how much better the overall experience is on Mac. Everything loads instantly and no matter what's going on in-game it runs buttery smooth. Most game ports are notoriously bad, but this one is better than the original which is just so awesome! I heard this runs on iOS and I believe it, especially with how well it runs on Mac. I hope DS2 is released on Mac because I definitely want to support Mac gaming, and this game is a great place to start supporting the movement!.Version: 1.1.3

Wonderful looking game but it freezesI have a 64 GB M1 Max macbook pro. The sceenery is beautiful. I have the same issue others have reported in that in certain cutscenes, The video freezes but the audio continues. The only recovery from this is to force quit the game and then continue. Currently, I am in the cut scene in my room and getting ready to take a shower. So far after 3 freezes and trying to skip the scene, I have frozen up each time making progression impossible at this time. Beautiful game but the freezing needs to be addressed. I would think with the M1 Max chip and 64 GB of ram, that it shouldn't be a memory issue. I would love a solution to the freezing issue..Version: 1.1.0

A near perfect portFor what it is at face value, this is an amazing port to make, as I played since release on PC and this is a lot better of a launch of the game. And I’m looking forward to playing through the game again! What I wish to be fixed/added is just a way to turn off the upscaler/ turn down the resolution, as I play on the go a raw 720p output at a capped 30/60 would be amazing for battery life. Asides from that, I hope this port inspires other studios to port/update their games to utilize the hopeful market of true mobile gaming..Version: 1.1.2

ENABLE GAME CENTER ON MAC!!!Could not get the game to launch at all today, finally found a post on Reddit that said the missing component was enabling Game Center in system settings on Mac. After doing so, the game runs magnificently! Really quite blown away by how well this game can run on an M2 MacBook Air with no internal fans to cool anything down. I'm sure it works better on more advanced MacBook models, but the sheer fact that it plays and looks comparable to PS4 is a huge achievement. Way to go 505 Games! You have set the precedent! Hoping for more high-end AAA games to continue coming to Mac!.Version: 1.1.0

Runs well, looks well, not truly a mobile experienceI love this game, I love that it's on my phone, but I am a touch disappointed that the developers didn't actually take time to implement a mobile control experience. It simply overlayed a virtual controller which makes nearly impossible to do basic things that are integral to the game. If you have a backbone it's cool or a PS5 controller but honestly I want ttipple a games to recreate the magic in a mobile setting without having to spend a hundred dollars more..Version: 1.1.2

Great game but not on iPhoneThe A17 chip on the iPhone 15 Pro is very powerful but not enough to comfortably play Death Stranding. This game runs in less than HD and can barely keep 30 FPS. Once major effects pop up the game slows down and lags to single digit frames. I’m sure after a couple of years a new more capable iPhone will be released but by then we don’t know if this game will be updated to take advantage of them. Hopefully it will but as it stands today I recommend you play this elsewhere..Version: 1.1.2

It has keyboard and mouse supportDon't listen for a moment to any negative reviews. People who say the game is slow or lags lack a basic understanding of technology. I'm playing on an M-series iPad that can actually handle the graphics on max settings, and it slices through it like butter. What a beautiful game. AND it supports keyboard/mouse FULLY. That's normally a deal-breaker for me. Love this game, easy money to give to a dev that cares about making quality products instead of more gacha cash grab nonsense..Version: 1.1.3

A fantastic game, runs great! (M3 Max 64Gb)This game runs amazing on my system. I have sunk many hours in this game on PC when it was released but to have it on my Mac and for it to have such great performance, all running native to the system is great on the go. Thank you for this port! ✨ I would love if DS2 can run natively on mac in the future too! 😏 Note: For those who said they couldn't launch it, I had a similar issue, all I did was go to System Preferences -> Game Center and I signed into my Apple ID 😄.Version: 1.1.0

Download issuesHello Developers, I am unable to download this app on a high speed connection from my home network. When using the network at my local University I only get 4MB/s speed, when the highest speed supported is 40MB/s. For a 70GB game this make downloading it virtually impossible. I found on the iPhone version it was nice to have a small download in the app store and download the rest directly from the developer's servers. Please consider a similar solution for the Mac App. I would like to play this game I purchased but can't due to poor network performance when downloading. I purchased it through the Mac App store since it includes an iPhone version of the game, otherwise I would have used a different place to purchase the app. I am disappointed since this is the first AAA game titile I have purchased from the Mac App Store. Given this experience I would not purchase a video game from the Mac App Store again..Version: 1.1.0

Incredible game comes to MacI've been enjoying this game since its release on other platforms and was very much looking forward to the mac release. I hope this is the first of many ventures into AAA games being released on this platform. Running on an M3, the game looks great, and I hope they stick with it, continue to provide updates, and improve the performance. Truly, a unique and incredible experience. Very much looking forward to DS2.Version: 1.1.0

A great game that isn’t optimized wellDon’t get me wrong, I love Death Stranding. I love every aspect of the game, but this port is simply unplayable. First of all, the game is very blurry, which makes it really hard to see the amount of details this game actually has. So graphical options to let users choose how they want their game to look like, similar to Resident Evil: Village port on Apple Silicon devices, is needed. The game also has lot’s of optimizing issues. I couldn’t get through Episode 2 of the game when Sam has to take a shower because the game literally freezes at that moment. I assumed this is a RAM optimizing issue, since I’m using the base model of the 12.9” Pro M1, which has 8GB of RAM. I hope this review would encourage the devs to fix these problems as soon as possible, since I’d love to play the game everywhere I go without any limitations that can interrupt my experience, but this is simply impossible at the moment..Version: 1.1.2

Is it Running? - Fixed!Updating my review. The day after I posted a review of the game simply not running after launch ( I wasn't the only one with this complaint by a long shot ) It started working just fine. Since then I've been able to carve out some time to play and I have to say this is a beautifully designed game. It's a pleasure to play and to be honest I love that I am playing a game of this calibur on my MacBook Air. Thank you!.Version: 1.1.0

The Furure of Mac Gaming is looking BrightCurrently running this on the 14" M1 Pro with 10 CPU cores and 16 GPU Cores, 16gb RAM. Game runs incredibly well at 1200P: Locked 60 FPS at Medium Settings w/ MetalFX set to Quallity. I usually put on headphones but the MacBook Speakers sounds incredibly full and the cinematic experience that is Death Stranding had me glued to the screen. I have a High end gaming PC that'll run this game at max settings 120FPS but that's not the point: This is a laptop/MacBook, and I'm achieveing a comperable experience at a fraction of the wattage, and in turn heat and fan noise is so low it never took me out of the experience. This port should put Apple Sillicon on the map for many games present and future. Oversall, very impressed and happy with the $20 purchase: can't wait to replay another 150 hours of this game, on the go..Version: 1.1.0

Not happy with the crashingThis game is beautiful made but be warned it crashed often. There’s also no graphics settings; it runs at one resolution. Theres a lot of stuttering on my iPhone 15 pro max. Its pitiful how both resident evils launches with a demo and they couldn’t do the same with this? I’m not happy with the crashes in episode 3. It crashes like every 30 minutes into a run making the game unplayable past a certain point. Please fix the crashes and add graphic settings so we can tweak the graphics to get our desired framerate..Version: 1.1.2

Great game, best with controllerOnly real issue is not being able to use both triggers on the touch screen without putting your hand in a claw grip, that and the heat coming from the device after around ten minutes. Definitely get a Backbone One, a Kishi, or a controller stand if you want to play this game comfortably. Better font size customization would also be appreciated, as it can be quite difficult to read it on a small screen, even on the larger setting..Version: 1.1.1

Incredible but promax strugglesIncredible game, great experience on iPhone but it overheats, freezes and shuts down a lot on 15 promax. I’ve lost a ton of miles so I’m making a point to save as often as I remember. I’m hoping this can be fixed but it’s an incredible show of force for the entry level into aaa phone gaming! I only played 10-15 hours of this game when it came out originally and I’m excited to chip away at it in a mobile format!.Version: 1.1.1

Apple's Best Game YetHands down, the best game on the Apple platform. Awesome graphics, well thought out controls and storyline. I'm not big into storyline games, but this hits it out of the park. Very lifelike gameplay as you make your way through the game, and twists and turns in the story make it very interesting. From someone who switched from PC to Mac, I'm glad I can acutally play something that doesn't require running a VM or web app..Version: 1.1.0

Original is great. iOS version crashes constantly.I absolutely love this game. Port to iOS is beautiful and feels like the original. Only problem is it crashes constantly. Basically unplayable. Update: After offloading the app and redownloading, game is running smoothly. Does not reflect on the title screen that I am running the new build, but based on performance, I assume that I am indeed running the newest build..Version: 1.1.2

Certain mouse clicks do not work.Initially i really loved playing this but mouse clicks on certain buttons when confirming a shipping delivery don't work. I keep having to press enter on the keyboard instead. This completely shuts down any way of speeding through the menus and is very annoying. Can the developers please look into this? Maybe I am doing something wrong? I can click on over 50% of the buttons in the game and it seems like the other half I have to use the 'Enter' key on the keyboard. Please help!.Version: 1.1.3

Simply beautiful!!!Running this on a MBP 14" M2 Max. Absolutely beautiful game and hyper realistic! On 1440p old mac display and running on max settings, this game runs flawlessly and fluidly. Amazing job on the execution! PLEASE NOTE: If you are running on Sonoma 14.4 beta, you may experience freezing during cutscenes where you need to force quit and restart the game and opt to skip the scene. Doing a fresh OS install of 14.3 solved the issue. That's the danger of running a beta version of an OS..Version: 1.1.0

Excellent implementation - needs game center warningI got tripped up by the requirement for a Game Center signon and couldn't play the game initially. Once that was taken care of, I was able to pair up a PS5 controller to my mac and gameplay has been smooth for the last 10 hours, no glitches on a M1 Max at all and the performance has been outstanding. Great QA on this, hard to remember any port being this smooth at launch..Version: 1.1.0

Love it but..I just spoke with the president and am on the first big mission, carrying a body. Pressing R2 makes him hold right but when I press L2 to make him hold left, he always is cursing himself or saying right time right place when holding L2. I feel like it shouldn't be doing this? He holds and balances fine, but during the cinematic music he keeps cursing himself and saying not right now….pretty sure this is a bug?.Version: 1.1.2

Audio issues, but great graphics performance.I'm impressed by how this game runs on my 15" MBA M3. After a few tweaks I'm getting 1440P 60FPS. It gets warm but not too hot. Sadly, today while I was adjusting keybindings, the ingame audio went SUPER low pitch. Like all the voices sounds demonic as if the sound is put through a voice deepener. I thought it was just my Airpods/bluetooth but the issue is still present coming from my Mac speakers. I've tried fully restarting the game and the audio is still messed up :/. Please fix!.Version: 1.1.3

Runs well on my M3 MBPGame runs well on my M3 MBP (24GB RAM). It did take a long time to download, I had to quit it and restart the download (and it took all night), even on my gigabit internet. I have played this game before on my gaming desktop and the story is incredible. Hideo Kojima really made a beautiful game with DS, both in story telling and the game's environments. I am thrilled to be able to play it on my macbook while on the go..Version: 1.1.0

Several FPS drops ! M1 iPad ProI’m very happy that this incredible game is ported for iOS. You can have my money just keep these game ports coming. The port itself is so much better than I expected and I still can’t believe I have this beautiful game on the go. But I can only rate it only 4 stars for now cuz FPS drops is more and more happening later game especially when I encounter BTs! Please, just make it stable. It’s almost perfect plsss..Version: 1.1.2

Fun, but compatibility is TOO limited.Out of all of my Apple products, iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs, and Macs, I have one device this will run on. But even then the picture is freezing up during gameplay every few hours on my iPad Pro until I have to force quit the app, then reopen it and play from my last auto-save. Maybe certain aspects of this game haven’t been properly optimized for the M1 chips? Hopefully some future bug fixes can make it more stable..Version: 1.1.2

UnbelievablePlaying on IPad Pro M1. Played for 2 hours. Although graphics is not PS5 quality, I’m stunned at the quality. Stunned at facial animation, sound quality. Walking through the terrain seems to be a stable 30 fps. I don’t think I could ask for more on iPad Pro M1. Hoping the upcoming IPad can handle even more amazing graphics. Thanks for releasing this, means a lot to me..Version: 1.1.1

Stunning, Exciting, EnthrallingThis game is everything that I was hoping it would be. I wasn't able to play until it came to MacOS and I can't tell you how worth it the wait has been. Everything from the music to the graphics and gameplay are great. I'll be spending hundreds of hours here, I can already tell.Version: 1.1.3

AAA gaming - great game, great portThis runs like butter on my 14" M3 Max. The atmosphere, music, environment is all gorgeous. This is a fantasic experience and kudos to the developer for makign this available on both Mac, iPad and iPhone. This is really the future of gaming and demonstrats what a great gaming platform the Mac can be. I hope to see many more games like this. Being able to start your game on the mac, then save and pickup right where you left off on your iPad or iPhone is fantastic. I hope this developer releases more games for the Mac like this. I also have access to a gaming PC and this is the first time I've chosen to play the mac port first and do not reregret the decision. Great game, great port..Version: 1.1.0

What a beautiful game…Not exactly my style of game, but i like to encourage non “in-app purchases” games (except i’ll buy DLC as well), so i bought this one just for that, seeing the beautiful graphics (no block or pixels game for me, thank you). It is a little too complexed for me, with lotsa command-controls to remember, despite the excellent GUI. And it is NOT just about fighting either, which is a darn nice change from other games. The movement controls can be a little finicky at times, but overall, short of one crash, the experience has been really good. Running on a iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (6th generation). Congrats 505 Games!.Version: 1.1.2

WE NEED MORE GAMES LIKE THISIt's a great game and also a great port! Runs really well on my M1 Pro 16 inch under default settings. This is a great step forward to finally be able to game on Mac. I love the Mac and everthing I do is on Mac. I hope Apple and other game developer can bring more titles to Mac!.Version: 1.1.0

Need graphics settings on iPadProIt looks blurry on my iPad Pro 12.9 inch M2 model. The machine is not hot either. Please give us the option to get a higher resolution and graphics!.Version: 1.1.1

Great gameThis game looks and plays great in my opinion. Its great to see games like this on my iphone. I hope there is far more coming in the future other than what the four games they announced. We need no mans sky, fallouts, skyrim etc which should all run great on this phone..Version: 1.1.2

Great AAA ExperienceI hope more AAA titles like this come to iPad. Game plays great on M1 iPad Pro 11 inch(16Gb RAM) with only occasional frame rate drop and a couple crashes. I appreciate that with a PS4 DualShock 4 controller all tutorials and button inputs reflect the controller being used. Great way to experience a AAA game on the go..Version: 1.1.3

Incredible! How can you not love this?! What an incredible technical feet to achieve, not to mention an incredible vision for the future of gaming between all your devices instead of just one console or PC. Huge shout out and congratulations to the team..Version: 1.1.3

Much better than expected, enjoyable!I played the game on PS5 two years ago, and am playing it again on my M2 iPad Pro, I’m so surprised that the graphics are pretty much good on the mobile device, quite enjoyable and I can even play it during my trip! Well done and I hope that more real 3A games like that can come to the apple devices..Version: 1.1.3

Good jobSmooth gameplay, stunning graphics, and seamless performance make this Mac OS game a delight. A must-play for Mac gamers!.Version: 1.1.0

I can’t believe I get to play Death Stranding on an iPad!!Absolutely beautiful game! Gorgeous graphics, immersive story, and paired with a controller the game is excellent! Big shout out and thank you to the developers for this great achievement in bringing such an amazing game to our devices!.Version: 1.1.2

Please add more better optimisationKojima it’s taste good , m2 powerful more than ps4 so ad more.Version: 1.1.2

Beautiful gameI find the controls extremely difficult to maneuver around with and it’s hard to tell what buttons to press when commanded on screen as the symbols for them are tiny.. The virtual controls are at the moment holding me back from enjoying the game...Version: 1.1.2

Beautiful cinematic experienceThis is a wonderful game by an amazing video game director, Hideo Kojima. The performance on my Mac is superb and it is truly a pleasure to be able to have such calibre of games available in the App Store..Version: 1.1.0

Superbe!!!!Le scénario, les décors et les personnages; tout est superbe! Solide! Sam est un personnage fantastique! Merci de nous offrir un excellent jeu et une oeuvre en soi!.Version: 1.1.3

Excellent port!Run great on M2 Macbook Air: Robust 30 FPS with: * VSync On, * 30 FPS cap, * Every Graphic set to High, including Shadows, * MetalxFX Temporal on Ultra * HDR turned On for capable monitors. The best way to go IMO, with DualSense a controller. Huge thanks to Kojima Production and 505 Games, Inc.!.Version: 1.1.3

Groundbreaking game comes with technical issuesThe game is awesomely epic on hard difficulty. The fps/crashing/game restarting upon exiting page, game-locking autosave issues (the worst!), and super unconventional touch screen controls is moderately overlooked by how fun and engaging Death Stranding is. The first time killing a BT is exhilarating. Definitely something that people need to experience. I absolutely recommend this game, however, seeing its technical issues persist on my iPhone 15Pro Max, I’m reluctant to recommend it to everybody on IOS — especially not somebody looking to use touch controls on a smaller screen. Note: game download is very large. It’s the full PC download size — literally an AAA game in the palm of your hands. The download procedure deserves a download speed indicates, an estimated completion time indicator, and the ability to select download packs for download flexibility. The game will be under 2gb for the game icon, where you’ll download 12gb to play the intro, and then download the rest. Since the download is in-game, it is unclear if the download continues as the app is in the background while doing other things..Version: 1.1.3

Cannot save sometimesThe game will stuck on saving games page and lose the progress.Version: 1.1.3

Please fix the save game issueSomething the game is keep showing saving status and actually not able to save unless re-open the app..Version: 1.1.3

StuckI ilke the game but i have problem sometimes the game freeze and i have to force out(command option esc) of the game and usually if i go back it will freeze at the same place. i have to re-start the game completely and even then it freeze somwhere else.Version: 1.1.0

Wow WowSuch a beautiful and well optimized game for M2 mac. Game is great but downloading from AppStore was extremtly slow..Version: 1.1.0

ICloud problemCan you guys fix the bug where iCloud backup of this game takes up 50GB(M1 iPadpro 16GB ram version) ?.Version: 1.1.2

The game doesn't lunchSometimes when I click to launch the game, it doesn't open, qnd I hqd to force quit it and restart my m2 mac.Version: 1.1.0

AMAZINGAMAZING PORT , BEEN PLAYING IT ON MY MAC AND IPHONE TO IPAD. WELL DONE. AND FUN AS HELL.Version: 1.1.0
