This game is amazing!I actually love this game so you know what i’m going to list what every part of this game is amazing! (The story) very engaging you can tell that your grandpa was a very good person. With the mayor coming to greet you. (The gameplay standard.) the standard gameplay loop of planting and harvesting sounds like it would get boring but it doesn’t cause you’re always working towards a goal some bigger than others (the fishing gameplay loop) the fishing gameplay loop isn’t as good but you still always feel like you’re working towards a goal and the fishing mechanics are really fun although I have to note that there is a glitch where if you end the mega game well, pulling up the noise it won’t stop playing (the friendship gameplay loop) it’s always really interesting to make friends with all the people in the valley if you want, you can even get married adopt or have a child etc. I personally chose Leah. (The mining gameplay loop.) the mines are pretty interesting. it always feels weird yet fun Trying to figure out when to. stop lady a monster to get an oar. except for the skull caverns screw the skull caverns (final thoughts) this game is really amazing it’s not for everyone but I think a lot of people can get enjoyment from this oh yeah forgot to mention. you should probably make it easier to transfer save files. Props every save file has a number attached to it. and you can just enter that number. THIS GAME IS AWESOME (but one annoying glitch…)First of all, I would like to say this is the best game ever. There is so much to do and even though I just started playing, I get the sense that I might never run out of content. The characters are interesting and they all make actual sense, which some characters in other games don’t. The characters in Stardew valley don’t contradict themselves, and their ‘heart events’ that reveal more about them are one of my favorite parts of the game, in addition to the forest near the wizard tower. But…for 1 WHOLE STARDEW VALLEY WEEK I was stuck in my house due to some random wilderness golem standing on my doorstep. (I had never seen one before so I had to look this up.) Thankfully I had the sword on me so the first time I went outside I didn’t get instantly killed bc I turned on auto attack. But now I have A LOT of quests, and I’m terrified to be outside my house when I’m not in town because of the wilderness golem thing. Speaking of quests, there are like 3000 fishing related quests and I accidentally threw away my fishing rod. But that’s something I did not something wrong with the game. Aside from the wilderness golem incident and my fishing rod being gone, this game is amazing and I will probably recommend it to everyone I know who owns any electronic device that Stardew is playable on. I love this game, minor changes needed for best experienceI do adore this game, I have played it on my friends switch for hours on end after them went to bed and even when they were awake. When I herd it was coming to mobile I was stoked, I immediately preordered and the moment it was out I was downloading. I began to play and noticed differences in controls, when I started playing there were three things I would change. Not having to switch between tools, it was in the right place it’s a wonderful mechanic, until your trying to water your crops and you accidentally use your pickaxe and destroy it. Smaller screen, once again in the right place a smaller screen smaller window right? As someone who likes to see more especially with such vast spaces like the woods a bigger area that you can see is preferred, if there were perhaps an option to scale this in any way that would be perfect. Some things take more time, compared to the switch at least. One of the things I loved about the switch was just being able to throw things into the deposit box. When I noticed this ability had been removed I was saddened partly due to inside jokes but mainly because it saved time being able to run by and throw things was easier then having to open a menu and select from there. Anyway those are just three small things I would be so happy if were changed but these things wouldn’t keep me from this game ever. Love the game, but the bugs are frustrating.I’m just as obsessed with Stardew Valley as the next person. It’s become my hyper fixation again recently. Before, I would play on my phone and just use touch controls. When I heard that switch joycons could be connected to your iPad I was so stoked. I’ve been playing a new save and trying to romance/develop friendships with characters as one does. I got to a cut scene with Sebastian today and as soon as I was tasked with making decisions, the game froze and I was unable to do anything. A refresh of the app just starts the day over, and it’s the same story whenever I tried to go back into the cut scene. It’s super inconvenient as I feel like I’m missing out on some of the story if I just continue the game and try to avoid cut scenes. I’ve also noticed how changing between a consumable and a tool or just any other item too quickly freezes the time and your character. Often you can still switch between items in the inventory but you are unable to use them. A little way I’ve been able to work around that is always carrying a sword and swinging it whenever I’m frozen. That usually makes the game playable again, but it’s kinda irritating. In LoveI adore this game for multiple reasons, I discovered it with friends and bonded over it, it isn’t a repeat of every other mobile game out there, no in-app purchases, only one for the full game, and the story and NPC’s are written beautifully into the world. I’m currently on year five and have logged about 125 hours into one save, I have experienced it all in this game and I can tell you it never gets stale, because when you finish building your farm you can then build up relationships with the townspeople, and after that, you can finish the community quests and after that you can find secrets and rare items. So on and so on, you can find everything to do in the game and even replay it over again as there are two paths you can take in game that effect the town and how you play the game. The controls are easy and simple so it’s great for inexperienced players or people that want a relaxing experience that can take them on an adventure. Be prepared for some grinding though as gathering materials is essential to upgrading everything in your farm but the best thing is that you don’t even have to grind for materials to have a good time, you can have the bare minimum in your game and still have exciting experiences with NPC’s and cutscenes learning about their likes and dislikes. For more hardcore players, the mines are the place for you! If you want an even bigger challenge take on the skull cavern, I haven’t even gotten to floor 100 yet! This game keeps yanking me back in!This game stardew valley was a huge success. It is my main game along with Minecraft and fortnite. This game somehow has a simple, even magical feel sometimes, and that’s how this game keeps me sane during the coronavirus pandemic, and I’m giving this game a 5 star rating because I love it. But I do have a question. Don’t parsnips grow in winter and spring? Also, I can’t figure out how to fix the old town center or whatever the little shack is. Oh, nevermind. Just thought of a way that just might work. Do you have to complete the little sets of items on the tree with presents? I don’t know. But overall, I give it five stars because it is addicting, you can work at your own pace, and it gives you something to focus on other than school and reading and homework. This is just so fun! It’s definitely worth every penny you spend on purchase. Because, doesn’t it cost money? But also, I have only caught one fish 🐟 out of the many times I have gone fishing. I caught a smallmouth bass, and nothing else. Is this a bug, or am I just really unlucky? Or did I do something at the beginning, because I don’t remember if there was anything on fish in the settings where you start your file. Also, it needs more of an ending than, grandpas ghost. New favorite game!Update: April 28, 2024 Been crashing more and more even when chopping wood and stones on my farm. I’m on IPad 12 pro max. Few of my friends played this and told me to get it. It was so pixelated I was turned off so it took me a couple months to do it. I’ve been playing for a couple weeks nonstop and it’s my favorite game EVER! But a few things… It always freezes while I’m fighting in the caves, fishing or in the community center so I have to close it out and lose progress. Now, I have to keep saving along the way which is sometimes a pain because i forget some of the things I have done prior to the save whenever it freezes. Also, some of the stories do not play out. For instance, the one with Alex and his dog. It’ll start the story then it just immediately stops. It doesn’t freeze up, the story just cuts off. I now realize when it’s happening so I close it out to trigger it again. I’m sure I have missed out on a couple stories before I realized it was happening which is a total bummer. 🙁 iPad is kind of a pain because we can’t just click on an item to add it to shipping bin and storage, we have to click and drag one by one. I use the bins and storage several times a day since I play all day so it gets tedious and I find myself avoiding it. I play with an Xbox controller and mouse. That’s all I can think of for now. Oh my actual hecking gosh…this is-This is amazing! for a farming game you managed to succeed! I already love this game! basically one day i looked at this game and thought : “ah another farming game, i’m probably gonna get more bored and quit” but no! this actually shares a similar concept with animal crossing pocket camp / new horizons! it’s a really good game too! according to the internet, i assume this is a indie game, and you actually managed to succeed for once! i don’t exactly have any issues to say right now, in fact if i had to choose between a terrible graphic and bland story game, or a farming game, i’d choose star dew valley! it is definitely worth the money! i 100% recommend giving it a try, you will not regret it! :D and to top it off, this game has no ads, no issues i’ve ran into so far, and basically, there’s pretty much some things to do here! you can farm, fish, etc! this is gonna be my #1 farming indie game i might play sometimes when i’m bored! so, if your interested in farming / indie games, get this one! i’m sure you won’t regret it for the price, as for ads, there isn’t any at all! for a mobile game, i’d give this 10/ 10! i don’t really have much pet peeves so far! i might learn throughout the game and progress more, but so far, i’m already liking this! i think you really need to give this a try! i 100% recommend!.Ellie☕️Version: 1.4.5.153

One of the best games everWhat this game has (and so many games are missing) is heart. Not cloying super-cutesy emptiness, but true heart and soul. Beautifully implemented, it is staggering to realize one person wrote and coded this entire game - I believe he wote all the music too - my favorites are the themes for the enchanted woods, the wizard’s tower and the visit of the moonlight jellies. IMO those themes are academy award sountrack good. And the stories - omg - just wonderful. And I haven’t even touched on the gameplay yet, which is also outstanding - this game has pretty much everything - combat, exploration, mining, task and time management, farming, crafting, relationships, puzzles, mysteries - and you can play it with emphasis on any one of these. You have to do some of everything to advance the story and there is a timeline for the overall goal, but you can approach it anyway you want and it all meshes together just right. I have gotten so much joy from playing this. No issues playing on my ipad pro, except for Robin showing up on my farm like a stalker scarecrow and scaring the h**k out of me, lol, but only seems to happen on saved games I tested cheat codes on - it is SOOO fun to play as a multi-millionaire right out the gate - if only it was so easy in real life - which is part of the beauty of earning it when you play it straight in this game - I have to admit the sense of accomplishment when you earn and achieve each goal is awesome. Great game. Very addictive, however..I love this game. It’s taken my full attention for weeks, now going on months and eventually years. It’s a great game. It’s very addictive and hard to let go of, however, there’s a bug with the fishing line that gets on my nerves. So much so that I avoid fishing unless I’m in desperate need of ‘G’. It happens at random, too. I would get a bite, catch the fish, then afterward the reeling sound will still play. You can exit back to the title and the sound will still be there, which means you have to completely close the app and reopen it to make it go away. This bug can happen at any time when you catch a fish and there’s nothing that can stop it unless you restart the game once more. It’s very annoying because I’ll have to save where I’m at then close the app just to make this sound go away. I could be mining, foraging, at a festival, or in the middle of dialogue and the glitched reeling sound will play indefinitely till I restart my game. I’ve read there’s no known solution on a wiki, so to my knowledge this problem has been going on for a while and hasn’t been patched just yet. I’m asking this gets fixed asap. Of course, take all the time it needs because game coding and all that takes a lot of time and effort. So close to perfectThis game is one of my favorites ever, but the mobile version has a couple of problems since the update recently. Walking up to entities causes a weird twitching that has to be resolved by walking away and trying the approach again. A little annoying but not a huge deal. Much more problematic is that fishing now seems to crash the game and does so in a way that does not seem to preserve the auto save. This means repeating the whole day. Stardew valley is darn close to being the perfect kind of game for iPad, but this new problem needs to be addressed. Highly recommended, and an absolute steal for eight dollars. I’ve played almost 40 hrs since I got it, and logged hundreds of hours over the years on the basically identical steam version. In particular the portability and the auto save feature make the iPad version better than the PC version. To say nothing of the brilliant automatic switch to the appropriate tool for whatever you were trying to do. I wish that feature would be implemented in the original! Absolutely try it out!! *I stand by my endorsement of the game but having played further and experienced a season changeover since the update I have found even more problems. Currently I can’t plant anything and as you might imagine that is a big problem. Why I PlayI’ve never really written a review for a game before, but I decided that I have to write something for Stardew Valley. When I first bought the game around Thanksgiving of 2019, I had never heard of this game. I was bored, and decided to try it out. I had never seen a game like this before on mobile, and didn’t really have high hopes, so much to my surprise, after the first week of my download, I had put in close to 22 hours into the game. This game is truly unique in its ability to entrance you, and make you feel truly connected to this game. Between the complex NPCs, the music, and the art of the game itself, it gives off a truly peaceful vibe, but also deep messenges that resonate in your soul. Every minute a put into this game feels like time well spent, and I began to do a little reading into this game. It turns out that this game is on steam, and was created by ConceredApe. What was truly remarkable was the fact that he did this by himself, every single thing in Stardew valley was coded and designed by a single man, dedication that you very rarely see anymore. I have grown to love Stardew valley, and plan to get it on steam soon. I hope that the mobile version continues to receive updates like the most recent 1.4.1 version that came out on PC. Best Game Ever.I usually never give reviews, but Stardew Valley is just too good not to review. First let’s start with the graphics and the music. The graphics are good, and very smooth. It never lags. The music is all wonderful, especially the summer music. Now let’s talk about the storyline. You inherit your grandfather’s old farm, and there’s a community center you need to save. It sounds simple, but there’s more to the storyline. The community center is inhabited by little forest spirits called junimos. They look like cute apples with arms and legs, and if you give them things, they will fix parts of town that mayor Lewis is too lazy to fix. There are also many npcs, and they each have their own stories, and you can even marry some of them. The gameplay is really fun. It’s so addicting that I clocked over 100 hours on one of my games. You basically just get up, plant and water your crops, sell them once their fully grown, and fish and mine while you wait for them to grow. You can also upgrade your tools and unlock new areas. There are also festivals you can go to, and you can also try to complete the community center(or sell your soul to Joja). There’s so much to do, and lots of fun secret features and Easter eggs for you to find. Overall, I rate this game 10/10 stars. Cute, fun, relaxing and addictive!I absolutely LOVE this game. Meeting and getting to know all of the villagers in Pelican Town and the valley beyond, offers challenges and fun little rewards that keep me coming back for more. There’s a general attitude of kindness, community and empathy in this cool little pixelated paradise, not to say there isn’t a bit of drama here and there. There are lots of surprising “Easter eggs” and fantastic little prizes to be found allllll over the place! I really enjoy the immersive “cut scenes” that are sprinkled throughout the gameplay. I absolutely recommend this game to anyone who enjoy collections and achievement based games. It’s full of whimsy and such a lovely way to take some time to relax and enjoy the seasons changing and follow the progression of the storyline. I was introduced to “Star Dew” a few years ago on my desktop computer where I’ve been playing ever since on the “Steam” platform. I am so delighted that now I can take my favorite, relaxing little game with me on my I-pad when I travel or I’m chilling out, away from my computer. BUT....HEY DEVELOPERS! One of my favorite indie games of all timeSeeing how I love farming in Minecraft I thought this would be a good fit. I quickly learned that this game may look like just a farming game but it is definitely way more that. This game has a very casual complexity. From dungeon diving and killing monsters to raising farm animals and making mayonnaise all while repairing the town. This game will make you feel like every second counts and there is well enough to keep you busy. I find this game very therapeutic mostly because I get to move at my own pace and the only times I get upset are because of my own actions. There also is some strategy to this game with the seasons changing every 30 days. Choosing a crop that’s in season and cost efficient yet rewarding to harvest in a timely manner is crucial to your farms success. There are so many things to do aside from farming like donating things you find to the museum then there’s rebuilding the old community center and last but not least uncovering the secrets that lie within stardew valley. This game is a blast all around and I would recommend everyone play it at least once. I played it on my computer and loved it so much I bought it on my phone and it plays exactly the same. Must-play game. Total Masterpiece.Stardew Valley is quite the wonder. On my macbook, I've spent hundreds of hours living the life of a farmer. It is the perfect game, one I could play for hours at a time due to how much content is packed into it. At one point, I thought I was probably getting close to the end of the game and the very next in-game day, I found out more stuff to keep me occupied for countless more hours. But, the "end of the game" is kind of subjective. There truly is no end because there is always something to do. Your "end of the game" might be different than mine; it depends on the goals you set. Being that this game quicky became one of my favorites on my macbook, I decided to purchase it on my phone too so that I could play whenever I was away from my computer. So far I've only made it about one in-game week but it has been fun to get to start over and experience this masterpiece on my phone. Stardew Valley on mobile is exactly the same way it is on my macbook. This isn't some watered-down version, you're paying for essentially the same game you get on computer except for a few minor changes such as how controls work and the fact that there currently is no multiplayer. There is something new that I've been enjoying, and that is the ability to continue playing from the point I left off at. It's nice to know that if I have to stop playing mid-game for whatever reason, I can come back to it at any time. If you have the money to purchase Stardew Valley and are looking for a game that you can play for many, many hours, then this right here is what you've been looking for you. Takes Getting Used ToI love Stardew Valley. I put many (too many) hours into it on PC, and, upon seeing it available on mobile, I decided to try it out. Before I bought it, I noticed how the controls were complained about by many, but I decided that I could work it out. The game overall is a brand new experience, different from most other games. The graphics are a joy to look at, the soundtrack and sound effects are done well enough, and the quests that you can do are seemingly never ending. The ability to not just farm, but to fish, mine, quest, adventure, and socialize makes for a game with so much content that you’ll probably never ship every item in the game. As for the controls, you just have to customize them and adjust to them. Personally, I hated having to click wherever I wanted to go/interact with. So, after a trip to the settings, I was able to make it an invisible joystick with a button. This configuration was that of my dreams. It worked just how I wanted it to, and it allowed me to enjoy the game much, much more. If you are on the fence about getting Stardew Valley, I’d recommend it. It has something for everyone: farming, crafting, mining, fighting, socializing, questing, and more. Stardew Valley is a great game on mobile and just requires some adjustment. Best game everThis is seriously the best game I’ve ever played. I can’t stop telling people about it. The amount of challenges and things to conquer seemed limitless. The cut scenes as relationships progress were so fun and great for getting to know the townspeople better. Learning how to make the most money by growing and upgrading the best crops was fun and challenging and earning and building all of the equipment was so rewarding, especially when they kept making farming life easier and streamlined. Getting a horse was the best, I got around town so much faster. Eventually I bought the Return Sceptor, loved that and the warp totems...Getting married and having kids. How fun was that?! I even divorced my first husband. Trying to get to floor 100 in Skull Cavern was such a challenge and I loved preparing for it. It took me a few days to get everything I needed for the trek which was unsuccessful. So a few days later I tried again and made it. I was so excited! Completing all of the bundles to upgrade the community center and movie theater was tough in the best way possible. Having to work for these rewards was well, so rewarding! I want to go on and on but I’ll stop. I have just about done all there is to do in Stardew Valley and I am so sad! Now what?! The Best Game on the App StoreThis game is a masterpiece. I saw this not expecting much, but I always wanted to play a game like Harvest Moon without paying 20 dollars for a game on the App Store. I expected for it to hold my attention for about 30 minutes, but I have played it for 6 hours in two days. The gameplay is split into two sections. The Minecraft farming and crafting and the Animal Crossing socializing and fishing. You can either play this as only a farming sim and ignore all the characters (which I would imagine is very hard to do) or just socialize. An example of these two sides colliding is the old-town general store. Inside, you can buy seeds for crops, sell crops, and buy wallpaper and flooring. (A bit like Nook’s Cranny from Animal Crossing) You can also find the townspeople who you can talk to and give gifts to so you can upgrade their friendship meter. Storylines will also take place here, such as the evil corporation trying to put the small-town store out of business. These storylines are so great because the characters are so charismatic and fun. Another example of the excellent game design is how is when you got bored waiting for the next day in Animal Crossing you, would just stop playing but in this game, you can just skip ahead a day if you want to. The presentation is also beautiful. The music is some of the most beautiful I have ever heard and it makes me feel like I am really in the game. I will not keep talking for much longer, but if you like the socializing of Animal Crossing, and the farming and some of the mining elements of Minecraft, then this game is a must have..HgshehnfVersion: 1.4.5.151

Love the game. But needs bug fixes.I would give this game a 5/5 rating if it weren’t for the fact that it has a few bugs that need to be squashed. So, whenever I go to a new location/building sometimes my game will get super laggy, freeze, then crash. Then the day is reset and I have to do the day all over again and it gets REALLY annoying. I was going to overlook this as it only happens about once every 15 in-game days, but there was a day I went into the skull cavern and got 36 Omni geodes (it was a really lucky day)! I was so happy and was going to spend it on artifact troves, then, when I leave the mine and go into the desert’s main part, my game did this. (Again it happens fairly frequently, this time just really annoyed me) So I had to do the day over and only got 25 Omni geodes. This is just a pain and should be fixed. Now, this is a smaller one, but annoying none the less. So I go to the skull cavern a lot, and I use bombs to clear the floors. Sometimes it will till dirt in the cavern and things like clay, gold and ancient seeds will come out of the ground. Now I am able to collect the clay and gold. But when I pick up ancient seeds they don’t show up in my inventory. This is a smaller one, but I would still like to be able to pick up ancient seeds and have them in my inventory afterwards. Really great! Just a few suggestionsSo I’d like to start off by saying I really enjoy this game! I love how most of the time there’s something to do and it’s never boring! I also love how every character has their own personality and backstory. One thing I hope to see added is multiplayer. I have two friends with this game but they have it on Xboxes so they can play together but since I’m on mobile, I can’t. Another thing is I wish it saved more. There was one time I had about 2 to 3 thousand coins worth of stuff that I collected in my inventory but I had to go and when I came back I had to restart the day and I lost it. It’s not a huge problem but something that could make a small difference. One last thing is I wish getting the nursery house expansion were cheaper. After I got married I wanted a kid but it’s so much money and the game got pretty slow for a while. Eventually I gave up on getting a kid and just did other stuff like collect items for the community center and stuff. The game itself is pretty expensive and I see why you don’t have in app purchases but maybe there should be an easier way to get money? Or lower the prices of things like the furniture and wallpaper catalogs, and of course the nursery? Awesome, but FlawedDon’t get me wrong, I love this game! I have hundreds of hours on the Steam version and I was so hyped for a mobile version coming out. I like how they didn’t produce a washed down version of Stardew Valley and kept it fundamentally the same. But, the controls need to be updated. It’s tapping and holding down to move and use your items. This creates a weird combination of the two especially when you’re fighting in the mines. Your hand is blocking your view of your energy and health bar when you want to mine something, fight, or move somewhere. The slimes are attacking you and it’s hard to fight back given the current controls. The auto fighting option doesn’t help whatsoever. It seems to make it even worse, in my opinion. I suggest adding joystick or buttons of some kind like in RPGs for moving and using items. If the developers don’t like the idea of having that as the automatic controls, there should at least be an option for it. Maybe it’s an iPad thing, but the fishing mini game is so small. It takes up less than half of my screen and is hard to manage. Even the tutorial for the fishing was difficult because of that. I’m sure after a new update comes, all will be fixed and I can’t wait for that. I’ll also change my review to reflect what it is currently. Great, still some bugsI’ve got the played this game for a while on my Mac and love it. Moving it to iOS is amazing, as I rarely have time to sit down with my computer and play, so getting a day or two in here and there in between real life is GREAT! However, there’s still a few bugs. The Spring Easter Egg hunt was a bust, it wouldn’t let me collect any eggs! I saw them everywhere, but I couldn’t click on them or walk through them, they just stayed. The controls take a little getting used to, and battling in the mines isn’t very user friendly with the controls. It definitely doesn’t work like a point and click on the computer. I’m glad they’ve added the ability to aim your cast when fishing, as sometimes the bubbles appear on a diagonal from any standing point with no way to reach them! Hopefully this helps. I am happy to see this game mirrors the full version in every way (so far), as I’ve been a huge fan for ages! There hasn’t been any real games like this for iOS so I’m ecstatic! Please just fix the Easter Egg Hunts, and make the battle controls a little more accurate! Auto-fighting is terrible, you can’t back away because you get hit, however slime balls just do constant damage while you auto swing at the wrong time. If you have the money, get it.Such an awesome game for people who love adventure, farming, and exploring. The characters are all well made for the story, they have fun quests to complete, interesting and mysterious storylines, which are great at getting you curious and addicted, it is like living the life of an ordinary farmer, except it has the excitement of pixelated and fake, but still interesting interactions with the love and hate you can get, the happiness and sadness, the gratefulness and jealousy, the nervousness and confidence. I’m not very great at explaining this game, because of how unique it is, but I think you should download, especially if you don’t usually have much to do after work or school, or on a weekend. It passes time pretty easily, but then once you have to stop playing so that you don’t forget your family members names, you won’t want to, so that’s the downside. There are no ads, optional or forced, just pure hard work and dedication required. After paying for the game, No money is needed to progress, just dedication and addiction. Please fix egg hunt bugNew player to Stardew Velley playing one IPhone X. Firstly, not sure how the UI is scaled but the automatic values leave an orientation pretty much only playable on one side view. It would be great if either the UI scaling was simpler instead of many settings or if it could auto configure better. Moving onto the bigger problem I am 13 days in and already encounter a bug that makes part of the game literally unplayable, being namely the egg hunt. The first time I loaded in my game just completely crashed. I annoyingly reloaded and reduced zoom and waited to go back into the egg hunt which didn’t crash the second time. However, what just makes this event so sad is that certain eggs just cannot be picked up at all. I have reloaded and attempted the event multiple times, changing zoom values close and far not touching them during the event clicking on the eggs from multiple directions but some just cannot be picked up at all making an already heavily time restricted event literally impossible when at least a third of the eggs just cannot be collected. Seeing the first event already being broken leaves a pretty sour taste and expectation for the other events that will happen later. I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH but…I have this game on my Nintendo switch, and i downloaded it on my iPad. I LOVE this game in all and it’s awesome but since the mobile version came out it started to lag sometimes, and one of the most common ones is my screen will randomly just go black and since the game only saves when you sleep, if the screen goes black I have to close out of the game and start the whole day over again. This is very frustrating especially when you’ve made a lot of progress that day and you have to start all over again. Another thing that happens is when I view my animals “status” sometimes it will glitch and won’t let me x out of it, then i have to leave and start the day over again when i come back. Although this only happens sometimes and not very often, it’s very annoying when it does. It does not do this on my Nintendo switch so I think it’s only because it just came out on mobile. Amazing Game, Fantastic Port, But Not Perfect.I don’t think I’ve ever played a game as captivating as Stardew Valley. It is a game I can sink hours into the gameplay cycle, yet it fails to get repetitive. As a long time fan of Stardew Valley, I’ve always thought it would make a fantastic iOS game. That finally came to fruition today with the official App Store debut. The game looks especially gorgeous on the iPhone XS’s display. After spending two hours with the game already, there is little to complain about. Though the automatic tool switching truly makes this port a dream, it’s a completely different control scheme. I did not find it immediately intuitive, and I am still trying to adjust to it making a lot of unintended moves. I would like to see this potentially optimized as one of my biggest gripes is that the ‘drag and follow’ control for movement can get tedious when switching between screens or just simply navigating around. Either adding an alternative control scheme or further optimizing the existing one would fix this. The game is equally as great as ever, and my complaints about the game are far too minimal to deter me from playing the game. Great on the go version of the game!I love Stardew Valley and have played way too many hours on both the PC and Switch versions. When I heard it was coming to iPhone I was over the moon. Because of the transfer to touchscreen, expect major control changes. For example, you can now choose to autoattack in the caves which works but still could use some tweaking. Some changes actually make the game easier to play such as the auto navigation feature when you click somewhere you want to go around an obstacle and the auto switch to the correct tool when you are chopping trees or cutting grass. One annoying thing about the game is the lack of autosave meaning if you put the game down for too long it will shut down and make you restart the day. But looks like a new update just came out which fixed this problem so we’ll see how that goes. Overall, if you’re a fan of the original game this is a great miniature, on the go version that will keep you entertained for hours on end. It’s still going through some control changes and hopefully will be a smoother experience in the future. It’s okayThis game is based on a game called “Harvest Moon” which is essentially an rpg lite farming simulator on the Super Nintendo. It has more things added like a dungeon for spelunking, quests with people in the town and plenty of other busy work. There is a lot of content in the game and things that will keep you busy and is certainly worth the price. The only gripes I have are the touch controls, none of which feel particular good to use, at least on a small device like a phone. The energy meter mechanic feels shoe horned in, only to pad out gameplay and simply make things take longer. I find it unnecessary since each day is already timed, requiring you to go to sleep and start a new day by a certain time, and it just further limits you to what you can do each day, thus dragging out the gameplay time. The game is also rather grindy at times, once again dragging and padding out the play time even further. Probably the most frustrating part is how the game suspends or auto saves. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to how or when it will, and it seems to be up to chance, when you load the game back up, it will “pick up where you left off” or simply have you load the game from the start of the current day. This has lead to losing roughly 1.5 hours of gameplay as sometimes when I open the game back up, not only did it close in the background, but it has me start the day over. Combine that with the random bug that locks you into opening a chest or shipping bin, forcing you to close the game, open it back up, and start the day over results in more lost time. Stardew Valley is best game I’ve ever played 👏🏻All in all, Stardew Valley is so well-rounded, immersive, and fun that I literally spend hours playing every time I log on. This game lacks in nothing. So if you’re on the fence about spending $5 on this game, take my word for it that it is so worth it. You can pretty much do anything you want in this game. You can marry any of the bachelor/ bachelorettes (there are 12) depending on who you like best; you can upgrade the houses and tools, and buy the additional farm buildings ALL IN YOUR OWN TIMING. There is no rush to do anything in this game! I’ve nearly gone through the entire in-game year and still haven’t bought my first chicken coop (which is a quest given in the very beginning). You figure out your own money strategies depending on what you like doing and what works for you; I’ve figured out how to make foraging work for profit, and I’m working on better strategies for farming. Buy this game worth every penny!I’ve only ever written a review once but this game deserves a review so here we go. First off I love this game, I’ve been playing for about two years now and at the start I wasn’t sure I wanted to buy a game for $7 especially a farm game, but this game is way more than just farming. Amazing gameI downloaded this game a few days ago and I’ve been loving it since. I always wanted the PC version but don’t like playing games like this on pc since I don’t use it as much, so this game being on the phone is so handy for me. If you play animal crossing this game has a very similar concept, but looks different and gives you more creativity and more things to do in terms of farming. Instead of being forced to play every day and one day lasting a whole day the game uses a different concept. The day starts when you play and you can play as many days as you’d like in a sitting. Days only last around 20 mins so its not very time consuming. Stores are open at select hours and there are many activities limited to time too. Every season consists of 28 days and there are certain things that you can grow/ do in each season. It’s not as easy as animal crossing, though. Fishing is very challenging, it takes way more planning out because you can run out of energy and most plants will die when the season chances, becoming friends with the others isn’t easy either. Amazing gameStardew Valley is one of the greats and put a lot of time in the game on Xbox but now I can play the new 1.3 update since it came with the game for mobile which is awesome and surprising :). Masterpiece game with one big problemI’ve played the heck out of the PC version of the game and was ecstatic that I can now play it on my phone whenever and wherever. However, the mobile version has one major flaw: the controls. The control system is a kind of “point-and-click” system where you tap a grid-square not only to move, but to do an action as well. This control system is OK when it comes to building and farming, but mining and the skull cavern are a different story. I wish I had a nicer way to put it, but the point-and-click controls completely ruin the game once you hit the mines. The mines are essential in progressing in the game, but with the controls as they are now, it is EXTREMELY difficult and frustrating to go spelunking. Killing mobs takes ages with both auto attack and manual attack. Auto attack constantly spams mobs out of range and manual attacking takes a long time to maneuver and attack without getting hit. Moving around is just way too difficult to do with current controls. It is clunky and annoying to use. In my opinion, the controls ruin the rest of the game. Adding a joystick or something of the sort will definitely improve the experience, but right now, all you can efficiently do is maintenance of save files you’ve moved over from your PC..JutesbootiiVersion: 1.02

BugFirstly, I’m loving the new update, I started a new game as soon as it came out on mobile. Everything was running quite smoothly I’m enjoying the new content. Im on day 13 of summer year 2 but the game doesn’t let me leave my house, It crashes immediately. I happened to have some warp totems in my inventory so I tried one to see if I could work around this, i went to the beach and it loaded like normal, I walked back to the farm and it worked until I got too close to my house and the game crashed again. I figure there may be some visitor and it can’t load the cutscene. I had no problems with crashing until now, and the only few things I’ve done in the game that were different were fixing that stump with 100 hardwood and trying to go through Marlon’s door in the adventures guild place. I hadn’t done so and was curious but when I touched the door the game crashed. When I went to bed that night I woke up having to do the day all over again. Good overall, one fatal flawOverall I liked the game and the controls are very good on mobile (must be fixed after all the negative comments I saw just after the release). One fatal flaw in my mind - the unnecessary sense of urgency. The game play revolves around “chores” that your character must do to keep the progression moving forward. The problem is the day is a fixed length, so you’re always having to (quickly!) decide on what facets you will move forward that day (do I need to hit someone’s birthday up, focus on farming, upgrade stuff, mine, or just tool around and dig stuff up, clear my farm). This is a bit in conflict with the theme of the game - getting away and relaxing. I really wish there were at least a game mode where the day simply ends when you go to sleep. This would give you the time to play it with a completionist game style and eliminate the irritating looming shortness of the day. It would be nice to be able to set my phone down for a minute and come back to the game without the day being blown. Or have to frantically construct in my head the order I need to do things in to be as efficient as possible. The theme of the game is relaxation - make it more relaxing to play. One other smaller gripe. Managing inventory becomes a pain. Let me upgrade my “total house storage” by building more and better chests, but let me go to any chest to access an aggregated storage inventory. Running around from chest to chest (especially with the urgency of time ticking by) was a pain. That being said, I gave it 4 stars for a reason. Love it!This game is fun for people who love simulators and/or love farming games. I personally love how there is so much to do right off the bat, and as the game goes on, it gives you harder and harder challenges, and then the final one being perfection. It gives you a lot to work torwards and when you get the hang on things, it becomes easier to complete the first half of the game and you can work on reaching perfection, which I found to be a lot of fun! Especially ginger island. The characters are all divers and its give the game lore too! It can be hard to understand at first, but the quests can help you adjust and learn how to play the game. The best, hands down!Right, I purchased this game on Steam as a test, since I’d been hearing so much about it and it was on sale and I was bored. iPad/iPhone games never took off with me because 90% percent are just cheap money grabs, so I didn’t really expect anything except title screen before the “purchase x to get more out of your experience!”, followed by a quick uninstall. Rarely ever do I buy or play games but this one is worth it.If you were a fan of Harvest Moon, this is just like it but better. There’s a lot to do and man different ways you can play the game and customize it to make it your own. Crops are very easily grown and difficult to kill (a big problem in the HM games). There are a lot of villagers with different stories, though I will say I’m disappointed in the male marriage candidates. Oh well. I’m currently on Year 3 and the game is still great fun, for me and for my kiddos. My biggest problem is every once in a while the game will suddenly crash, usually at the worst times: like the busy day at the start of a season or when I’ve gotten so far in the mines that day. A more minor bug is the Secret Notes - the background gets cut off at the bottom, making them hard to read completely upon finding them. I do wish the updates to iOS came faster (eagerly waiting for Ginger Island!!!) but all in all, I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Amazing Game, Buggy PortFirst off, I love Stardew Valley. Playing it on PC was a great time. And while this is an okay port, there are some big problems with it. To sum them up, mechanically mobile is MUCH worse than PC or console. The combat controls are very clunky, especially on smaller screens. The “auto-attack” control setup is probably the most consistent, because the game swings your weapon for you, but its basically a badly written autoattack. Sometimes when invincible enemies/enemies behind a rock are near, your character is locked into place swinging at nothing. In addition, the inventory is much harder to use, as you have to tap on which item you want everytime and somebody decided it was a good idea to have it so when you tap an item twice, you equip then unequip it (essentially no active item). This is a huge problem when actions are needed to be done quickly in the skull cavern, for example. The Skull Cavern, a normally difficult part of the game on PC, is nearly impossible on mobile. You will probably not survive past 20 levels without saving extremely frequently and eating a ton of food. Even then sometimes the combat sytem will bug out and you will die in seconds. That plus issues and bugs with autosave and quicksaving can make the gameplay very annoying at times. Overall, just fix the saving bugs, autotool bugs (example: game makes you use wrong tool, sometimes locks you into an action like infinitely watering the same tile), and make the mines/skull cavern easier. Mobile players already have a massive disadvantage, which is fine and natural, but the game should be tweaked to make it playable. StorylineI love this game so much, it’s so easy to spend countless hours playing it! I especially love how similar it is to the pc version. When I first found out that this was on the AppStore, I got really excited because I remember watching some play throughs of the game. Now for the price of the game, it’s very reasonable considering how many things you can do in your list/world. The only problem I see with this game is that there is no goal to the game, like a storyline. I found myself constantly looking up what to do on it because I didn’t know what to do and was bored. I know this is a lot to ask the developer but I realize that I can get bored very easily with this game. I think a storyline or a certain goal at the end would definitely fix a lot of people’s boredom and give them something to look forward to at the end. Amazing game, but not for mobileI enjoy this game very much and it’s one of my favorites of all time. I first played this game on my laptop in 2020 with a controller and it was very smooth. Controls were complete and easy and it only crashed like twice in my 200+ of gameplay. However I bought the game for my iPad with PS4 controller just now (August 2023) and it was a huge downgrade. Controls are not the same and as complete as the one I have for my laptop. You still need to use the touchscreen to do other things, and yet there are still some controls that aren’t available (like extracting just one item from the inventory, like if I only wanted one piece of wood from my pile of 999 wood from the chest). It also crashes very frequently, from the start screen, to processing geodes, sometimes it hangs while saving the game and so I would need to do the whole day all over again. I’m pretty sad about that, I thought I could enjoy this game on a lighter gadget. I still love this game with all my heart but it seems that I’ll have to go back to using my laptop to play. AMAZING!I’ve always wanted to play Stardew Valley, but never had a platform that could support it. So when I heard there was an app, I scrounged up $8 to get it as soon as it came out. This game is absolutely everything I’ve ever wanted. I love the control setup, and I enjoy the tap or drag to walk. It’s been easy to advance in the game, and I’m already in the fall, with plenty of upgrades, One things I’ve been having issues with is what I’d like to call the “glitch disease”, because it continues to spread. The library/museum was the first victim. When I go inside, everything is super slow and characters glitch across the rooms and text pops up in chunks instead of flowing smoothly, so I can’t put any artifacts in there because of the glitches. Then, sadly, the clinic became the next victim. It gets annoying when I’m trying to give Harvey gifts, and I have to glitch my way behind the counter. Then my most recent victim is the carpenter’s shop/Robin and Demitrius’s home. I tried to get some upgrades and buildings and it took 2x the time. Great game but stabilization needed!I had Stardew Valley for my PC and absolutely loved it! I played it way too much and it was/is one of my favorite games so when I saw it was coming out for the iPhone, I freaked a little bit. This is one of those games that is amazing for phones, because sometimes I just want to play for 10 or 15mins at a time. However, it does need some stabilization improvements. Perhaps it’s just where I am currently, but the last 3 times I’ve gone into the cave to do spelunking, the game has crashed. It wouldn’t be that annoying but I lost about 20 floors of progress the first time and about 10 the second and third time. At this point, it’s just annoying more than anything else. About 3 hours after a new bug was introduced it was fixedUPDATE: the planting is fixed, I love everything and find combat and fishing a bit annoying but more of a new challenge then anything else. So I love this game on Xbox and pc but the mobile version still needs some work. I was planting seeds and farming happily until the summer season started and then suddenly none of the seeds (I was trying to plant melons and peppers) would plant... it isn’t me I don’t think because I could plant until the start of summer and I have played so many times on other devices and never had this problem but I hope it’ll be fixed soon. Love this game but a few problemsI love Stardew Valley and I was super excited for this port!! It controls super nicely for the most part but there are a few areas where it’s lacking. 1. When using the water can, you press and hold so it can water more spaces. It’s really hard to position your character so it waters the right spaces. I found that using it actually wasted time instead of saving it, which doesn’t happen on pc. For the most part this seems like something that can only be remedied by a joystick type control. 2. The sleeping to save works well on pc because when you sit down to play, you know your gonna be playing for a while and saving isn’t a big deal. But on mobile..... it works.... poorly... I never know when I’m gonna get a phone call or have to leave the app to text someone and loose all my progress for that day or I’m in public and something else needs my attention. Amazing game, but it crashes all the timeWould be five stars, but recently it has started crashing all the time. I can barely get through one day without it crashing and me having to redo the day. Sometimes it lets you start over from where you were if you open the app quickly enough, but usually I have to start over the day, which is super frustrating. Amazing game, unexpected for a role-playing farm game.I first got this game on PC and also gifted it to my friend and it was a total fluke because we have never really heard much about this game (not saying the game was a fluke, just how we both liked it), but we knew it was around. Our first day playing it is safe to say we are addicted, just like any other person, farming simulators don’t sound too fun, but there is just so much to do in the mean time it doesn’t ever really get boring. I gifted my friend 4 games on steam so we could play together and out of all the 4 he likes Stardew Valley the best, same with me. I gifted him: Escaptists 2, Don’t Starve Together, Terraria, and of course Stardew Valley. We are 2 years in and we have not lost interest and I don’t see myself losing interest for awhile. If you are planning on buying the game and have a PC, go for it, if you don’t have a PC just do mobile, it is exactly the same. To people who may want to buy this game here is just some things you can do: Play with friends, choose from different farms (maps), get coops, barns, and more to get animals, go shopping for supplies, get new plant seeds every season, go fishing, get married, gift people items so they like you more, go to the caves and get good loot and kill enemies, discover new areas, and the list goes on. I think the worst part of the game is the start because you really don’t know what the heck is happening and your farm is a mess. AmazingI bought this game for xbox, pc, and now iOS. I absolutely LOVE it... clearly lol. I really can’t wait for multiplayer to come out on the xbox so I can play with friends. So far the touch screen works great with this type of game. The only suggestion I would make would be to make it easier to water and plant things and stuff because you have to tap each square instead of press and holding the screen to keep watering/planting as needed. Update problemsEver since the last update, everything is messed up. Playing on an iPad Pro 2nd gen. Energy bar is super tiny, and no way to make it bigger.
