Dispite being ages 17+ there are many YA books although I wish it had an audio book mode that was free and it has many books I have to read for school

It’s an amazing app, I love it so much, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to turn on a dark mode, and the light mode hurts my eyes. Is there a way to add the feature? Or is the feature hidden somewhere in the app and I just can’t look. Overall amazing app though, have loved reading on it so far.

I wish the books had pages. As someone who tracks the amount I read in pages, not chapters, I would appreciate if you could add a page function for the readers that want it along with the chapter layout for the readers that like that format

This could be a 5 star worthy app, the setup seems pretty easy and self explanatory (coming from a programmer), but I will say I was asked to leave a review before I even finished the setup… I apologize if I change my mind about the rating later and cannot change it, but either way I was asked to leave a review way too early. Then again, Apple may be in charge of that and not the owner of the app. ❤️thanks for helping me getting back into reading

This app is great for picking up and reading things- I’ve read quite a few things myself already and the experience is well-done. But the search for specific books or authors does not work at all, just showing the most “popular” books regardless of what you search, meaning it’s hard to find any particular book at all. It may have a big selection but there’s not much point if you can’t search for it.

At first i thought the books were good but then i started reading more and was noticing a lot of repetitive phrases and sentences. i decided to look up the authors and the book title and they wouldn’t come up, the author would either not exist and if the title existed then it was on a completely different book that had nothing to do with the one i was reading, so i don’t really know if the books are ai or what but i was only reading the romance books specifically so i don’t know if it had something to do with that and if this was happening with other book genres as well.

I originally downloaded the app because I love reading books on my free time and I came across this one, I got everything set up but when I went to go click on the book it wouldn’t even open it and would proceed to boot me out of the app, such a waste of time.

Do you think you could add more modern young adult or children’s books since I don’t really want to be reading all the old fashioned books?

The app advertises free books. It’s not free. This is a subscription service. Why mislead potential subscribers with something that can be so easily fact-checked.

It’s weird that the name is freebooks when you have to pay to read them, doesn’t make sense to me

Won’t load any subjects if i’m lucky to even open discover, it literally just spins for a solid minute then says retry. the app will happily open to its instagram, showing it’ll load. my wifi speed is fine and i even switched to data for a solid minute. waste of time

Becareful when choosing this app as I canceled my subscription and still got charged and I’m being refused a refund!!!!!!

I am very sure that most of these novels are AI generated… novels don’t exist when I google them. very disappointing

Instantly made me create an account without letting me look at what they had to offer, then prompted me to create a review without looking at what they had to offer, then paywalled me after saying that the app is FreeBooks. Has a lot of AI generated cover art not sure if the books are made with AI but the cover art is. With all that being said there are some interesting stories on here. The app is beautifully designed listening to the stories is simple and quick if you want to read they give you that option well just know that the app isn’t free. It’s paywalled. Wish they’d not lie about that but that it is a good app. Despite that all that

Why title the app FREE BOOKS and then immediately try to charge me $39.99?

I typed in at least 10 classics and not a single one was in this app

How are you going to say the books are free and you can read any time but then it costs 40 dollars per year? Do not advertise something is free when it is not. That is false advertisement. The only thing that is free is the free trail.

I downloaded this app because it says free but it’s not. You get a trial period and then you pay afterwards. Not for me and I thought I would let others know.

It’s ok to me

I got this app and was really excited, because it seemed legit and easy to use. i've been looking for free book apps so that i read more often. i have a very wide taste of books. i read classics, such as osamu dazai, fyodor d, scott fitzgerald, and let me tell you.. they had NOTHING that even peaked my interest in the slightest. absolutely nothing. only boring sci fi romances that were made by low budget, unknown authors. thanks, but i will be uninstalling. good luck with this app.

I was under the impression that this was a free reading app. Then I get to a certain point where it says free trial for 7 days. $39.99 a month after that. Did I miss something? I don’t understand how that is free.

There is NOTHING about this app that is FREE. Liars.
