Vista Color CharmI thoroughly enjoy doing Vista Color, it’s very calming and serene for me. It helps me unwind after a gruelingly busy day. It is my “after dinner and night chores are done” respite! The only fault I find, is that now, you have chosen selections that are locked, you must pay to color these choices. I was very happy to enjoy my evening without enduring incessant ads and without having to pay to enjoy a desirable pastime. However, you have now added the pay factor to your website. I find the ads annoying, but doable. I find the pay factor added to many selections, disheartening. So many games require buying points, coins, bundles, etc. I recently decided I didn’t like adding to my charge card every evening, so I hunted until I found another enjoyable option which happen to be Vista Color. Now it seems you have decided to go the way of the many other games, pastimes! I regret that you have made this choice. As I stated earlier, I immensely enjoy doing the color schemes, as this site has become a much needed respite for me. So close, but not quite!This game has been my latest obsession. As a therapist, I find myself looking for potential items to introduce to my clients that allow them to get out of their heads and sit comfortably in the moment. This game does a great job of doing this. I only have one major complaint (as well as a minor one). Minor complaint: it would have been nice to have less distractions and less ads on the free version. Major complaint: as a Black woman, there is sooooo little african-american representation. Thus far, I’ve completed 75 portraits of that amount 4 had people of color. I’d even gone back to February (which is Black history month) still no people of color. I’ve taken the initiative and purchased tokens. Although I don’t think that requesting a more inclusive ethnic group, should come at cost. I am prepared to pay for what I want to see. I offered this to the developers, June is the month where Juneteenth is celebrated. It is my sincere hope that with three months notice that you will be able to ensure a more inclusive set up. Shocking observation!I first want to say that I have been using this app for a while now and I always wondered if they had coloring pages of people of color most of the people section they are white characters and I wondered if they had anyone else of different background to draw. Upon searching I found a couple of pages that seemed to be black women portrayed. When I went to color them they were behind a paywall which was fine I subscribed just to see how the pages would look. I was deeply unsatisfied usually most of the pages take a long time to color with each color having multiple pieces to color and there are lots of individual pieces from small and very hidden to big in your face. However with the pages of the black women they seemed to be complex but they weren’t where most time the sky part of pages have about one-three colors to them these ones were labeled as one but then when I clicked on it more than one color showed it seemed like they didn’t want to take the time to make these pages more in depth rushing the colors filling them all out instead of having each piece need a number. I like it BUT….I would love to give this 5 stars and I would if it wasn’t so over priced in order to get rid of the ads. I understand the point of these apps is for the developers to make money and truthfully they do give you a lot of free pages to color….However paying approximately $40 every 6 months to get rid of ads and unlock all the features is just too much. I would be fine paying a one time fee even if it was on the higher side, but that much every 6 months is just greed in my opinion. If you are fine with an ad coming on every time you open a new page to color and every time you finish a page this is a great app with lots of variety in the pages to color. I just can’t get past how expensive it is to access all the features. I don’t understand the response from the developer. I wasn’t complaining about the ads themselves ( content or quantity) as I stated they do give a lot of free pages. I get it, the ads give the ability to have the free pages and the object of these apps is to make money. What I was complaining about is how expensive it is to get rid of the ads. Beautiful rich, deep reds, purples, golds!I love Vista coloring app! It has a lot of selection of all different kinds of drawings for you to color! There are alot of 1950s-type illustrations, plenty of pages of flowers & trees, mountain & water scenes, many different people, & so many others too numerous to name. I also like special ones they have that are different than the rest that are “mystery pages to color”. There isn’t any drawing at all, so you have to just color the different blobs of paint by the number. When you get like 1/3 of the colors filled in you start to see a picture, but you wont know what it is until you finish! The colors are very rich & beautiful! Really enjoying this appI’m a fan of coloring in real life as a way to unwind and relax but it isn’t always possible to bring those materials with me. With this app on my iPad mini, I can color anywhere. It’s a great for relaxing after work - no timers, no scores, no challenges, no pressure. Personally I don’t care for the “rare” color pictures since the colors are not the same as the one I’m picking up. My only request would be to have a way to see how many “taps” it takes to color a picture so I know if I’m starting one that takes more time or a faster one. Love it!!!!Long review. I love this app. There are some sorta hard ones but it’s more of a relaxation for me. I like how it replays my methods of doing the picture, after. Not many ads at all either!! I only really have one complaint, well two sorta. (They play into each other.) There’s a good amount of free ones to do but once you get to a certain point they won’t load so you really don’t have many. But upside you get new ones daily. Downside… it’s only for. Nice picsAs far as basic coloring features, the app works well. The features and execution are the same as other quality coloring programs for adults. Because it works without any problems and therefore is working as intended, I gave it five stars. However, I personally have a big problem with the design feature that forces you to use it horizontally, i. e. in landscape mode. The developers run banner ads at the bottom of the screen. This forces you to keep your hand and wrist raised to avoid touching the banner ad. If you don’t, you will wind up opening the “google leads” website or the website of the advertiser. Rather than a rare occurrence, inadvertently opening the unwanted website will happen many times during a coloring session. Especially when — like me — you’re elderly and/or fighting arthritis in the hands. My other issue relates to the price of the app. I prefer to buy my apps. However this app is extremely expensive given its features are the same as all other adult coloring apps which are generally priced lower. Even the pictures are the same. The developers have most of the pictures locked, but I did find many of the pictures on other coloring apps. Also, the app does not tell you what you get for all that money. I assume it unlocks all the locked programs, but the app sells special collections with a few targeted pictures. Are they included or do still have to pay for those? Does the price include removing some of the ads? Which ones? The ones before and after each picture you open? The banner ads? All of the “Rare” style pictures are locked. How can I judge the quality and style before paying all that dough. For example, I did purchase a collection and the rare was not the same caliber as other apps. I hate writing a review that has so many negative aspects. In fact, I still use the app because it has pictures I do like and I have not had any execution problems. Mixed experiencesThe majority of artwork is some thing I don’t care for (cutesy stuff that is juvenile) so I have to search a lot within the choices to find something that is appealing to me. About half of the time when I find something I want to work on I start doing it, and then find that the colors are drab and blah. At those times I abandon the work. What’s most frustrating is when there are a lot of itsy-bitsy, teeny tiny color segments pieces that are somewhat hidden and extremely difficult to find but it’s not finished until every part is colored. Artwork like that, takes a very long time to finish, and can become more like work than fun. Nevertheless, I have found at least a dozen pictures that I enjoy very much once they are finished. A Great App, but…There are way too many locked pictures. Unlike some other coloring apps, there is no way to unlock them unless you buy a subscription or purchase stars to open packs. It would be great to be able to open these by watching an ad, or even two. I do not feel that the ads are excessive now, but being able to choose to watch them to unlock a picture would be a help for everyone, especially us seniors. Plus we all know ads are a source of revenue which is necessary to keep the app up and running. One particular feature I likeI have done numerous of these paint by number sites, but I like Vista the best for one particular thing - the others all skip to the next number when you complete filling in the current number. I don’t like that, I like to be able to tap on the next number, see what color it is, and maybe will want to jump around instead. Vista coloringA Great experience painting needs a different pictures of some of the pictures I didn’t like because I had a bit too much vegetation where he had to do an awful lot of work on it. I’d like the ones that were just a little bit better very much it feels very satisfying to finish, but I must admit whoever design this last the last color of a number and very obscure places you really got observed very well overall I would recommend it to everybody. Fun and Challenging ColoringMany pictures are interesting and aesthetically pleasing. I particularly like the Mandelas, which are abstract and challenging. Many of the pictures with people in them look very juvenile to me. Also clearly oriented to a Christian audience. If religious holidays or places are subjects, then be more diverse and challenging. There were no pictures of other religious symbols or themes. I would also like to see pictures depicting international, national, and regional folk tales. Fairytales would be nice too. Travel pictures of festivals, scenery from National landmarks, places of beauty, interesting architecture….these would be nice. Less ads would definitely be more enjoyable. Great App, Terrible Customer ServiceAfter reading a few recent reviews, I see that I’m not the only one that stopped receiving new pictures and daily pictures on June 8th. I have sent several emails and used the chat feature within the app. to try and get help. I have NEVER received a response and nobody ever responded on the chat. I loved this app so much that I paid for a 1 year subscription in order to unlock all of the pictures. I have now completed all available pictures on the app. and can no longer use it even though I have several months left on my membership. Premium Pictures Require a SubscriptionI downloaded this app today and was delighted with it! But then when I tried to choose a picture to color, I discovered that all of the premium pictures -- the best pictures -- require paying for a subscription. And the subscription plans are expensive. I have several other color by number apps, and in all of them you can watch a video to get access to a premium picture. Love it!Great way to unwind at the end of the day. Definitely my go-to app. Adding an option to create your own palette would be the icing on the cake! Tons of options to choose from to color. Wonderful!I love this game. The colors are rich and varied all through each picture. The drawings are well done and it is fun and easy to complete those you choose. I have had Long Covid, for 19 months so far, headaches, joint pain, internal pain, brain fog and sickness and nausea. No medication or treatment is available and OTC medication does little or nothing. Just keeping up with housework, cooking, laundry etc. takes a toll. So at the end of the day I am exhausted. But I take regular breaks and turn to Vista Color for fun and relaxation. It fulfills my need for art. I am a certified member of the National Society of Decorative Painters and have paintings in the Smithsonian, White House and Blair house collections. It’s relaxing but also notThey have a great selection with great quality pictures and everything is highlighted enough so it’s easy but my only complaint is they don’t have it where you can finish one specific thing on the coloring so you’re going back and forth and sitting there with one thing missing from each different item in the picture, this game is definitely not for people with ocd because you won’t be able to finish coloring a glass or a dog in one go and the next color to finish that item will be 20-30 colors away and that goes with any on the picture. Lack of people other than white peopleI really like the pictures and the colors in this app. The one thing I object to is the fact that there are very few people of color as the characters. Lots of fun, relaxing, but there’s a bugExcellent, easy to use and the pics are awesome. Al in all a most relaxing game until…you’ve been working on a picture and boom, an ad starts for no apparent reason. Not only that, but there doesn’t appear to be a way to exit the ad (unlike the ads that run before or after you work on a particular project). And, if by some miracle you can get out of the ad, it restarts again. The only way I’ve found to fix the problem is exit the app and kill the “background” version from the running apps screen (swipe up). Hours of relaxing funI really love this game. The artwork is beautiful. Nothing is just one color. For example… trees are several shades of green with shadows and light. Great painting app with a couple of flawsI love how Vista Color fills an iPad screen in landscape mode, and the pictures are beautiful. My two complaints are, when one color is fulfilled, the app does not automatically move to the next color— I can’t even find an option for that. We have to go to the color bar and manually tap the next color. And I don’t like the way that premium pics are mixed in with the free ones. Does what it says but has gotten worseI didn’t have high expectations for a color by number app and it delivers what it says it will. There are a lot of free with ads designs to choose from. But after months of using the app, it feels like the designs aren’t as good as they used to be. New images seem sloppy and have errors, like colors bleeding past outlines or a green in the middle of a blue sky area for example. Some color palettes (to me) are garish and hard to look at. Love it, but…Truly love this game. Sadly, am unable to play the game because I can’t get the ad to close. Tried reloading, no luck. Great detailI love that there is lots of detail in the animals especially. I look and see it looks great, then there’s a wonderful detail to color in. Puzzle reviewThe puzzles are wonderful but there are entirely way too many ads. Ads to start. Ads to finish. Ads in between if you have to go to another site for a brief time. My new favorite App!Vista Color has been such a great find! It’s so cool because it allows use of the Apple Pencil which makes the coloring process so much faster and more natural. You just press the tip of the pencil on the photo and it auto selects the correct color! Wonderful feature. They have all sorts of different kinds of pictures, but I especially love the nature scenes. Would not recommendI downloaded this so I could color something pretty and while most of the art is pretty I have an issue with the art involving people. Most of the art with people are white, those that are people of color are locked meaning you’d have to buy a subscription to color those and I’ve only found one maybe two that are people of color and yet their skin tone is too light for people of that ethnicity. When it’s art of white people most of them include blonde women and when the women do have “brown” hair it’s more gray. The blonde women have very vibrant and pretty hair while those with brown have dull and gray hair, nothing vibrant about it. In real life it’s very obvious that those with brown hair have very vibrant hair, and it’s especially noticeable in the sun. Unless there is more free access to art of people of color who actually look like those of that ethnicity and there’s more effort put into vibrancy of color on things such as brown hair I won’t be recommending this to anyone or continuing to use this.Nevaeh PereyraVersion: 1.3.5

Any new pictures?I’ve had this app on my iPad for months now and I really love it. Landscape mode is the top reason I prefer to use this coloring app over any other. I’ve bought a few of the artist packages, and even though the pictures are very nice the coloring experience isn’t quite the same. I would love to see some new content. The lack of dailies or any new content make this app a once 5⭐️ to a now 3 ⭐️. I found the daily pictures, and even though it looks like a picture was added every day several months ago, since then it’s only been one picture a month. Not sure if it’s better with premium but the price is outrageous for nothing more than a coloring app. So that’s a no go. Think it’s time to find another coloring app that’s not so pretentious. Fun app, but it needs updated contentInitially, I enjoyed this app and the new artwork that was offered daily, but it hasn't had new content added since June 8th. The app. indicates that "new content is on its way," but that was posted over a month ago and nothing has been added. The ads aren't obtrusive and there are many free play options, but we'll see if it ever gets updated content. Update: In October, they added just four (4) new designs, which is the only update added since June when they stopped adding new designs. This app. is a joke and the company is non-responsive to requests for explanations why daily updates are no longer done. Update #2: Complete garbage app now. If you like getting only ONE free painting each month, then this is for you. Otherwise, move on to something else. I like this app, but it would be nice to get what you pay for. -I’ve contacted them twice and they have yet to respond so it seems they get you to spend your money for the premium and then stop allowing you to have unlimited access. Incorrect Age in DescriptionThe way this app works is done well. I prefer it to other coloring apps because it is used in landscape mode versus having to use it in portrait orientation most of the other coloring apps require. I downloaded this app primarily so I could use it with my grandchildren since it noted that it is appropriate for ages 4+. However, the large volume of images in themes that are not appropriate for children and the constant repeating of adult content advertising (including a LGBTQ Dating app ad that automatically launches in a web browser no matter how you interact with the exit button of the ad) makes it inappropriate to use with my grandchildren. No updated pics since June 8thI have had this game about a year. I loved this game about a couple months ago I decided to upgrade to the premium subscription so it would be ad free. But then June 9th comes around and the daily pictures didn’t have any new daily pics. So I figured there must be an update coming so I didn’t think much of it. The a week passes and still nothing new added to the daily pics so I sent a chat message no answer. Subscribed but no daily updatesI paid for a one year subscription in April 2025. All was well and I was enjoying the app tremendously, but then the app stopped giving me daily updates with new pictures to color. No update since June 8th. Vista color reviewAt first I loved this app, it’s free and has tons of free pictures to color. So many cute pictures! But then the ads started and they become relentless. So much so that the app freezes up and you will have to close the app in order to stop the broken ads. Now that I have done over 70% pictures, this app has stopped making daily and monthly new pictures to color. Racist Practices in Vista Color- Diversity Sold, Not ShownThis app is blatantly biased toward white characters. People of color, Asians, and Native Americans are almost invisible here—barely any free options, and the few that exist are hidden behind a paywall. Even worse, the so-called “diverse” characters still look whitewashed. I paid for Bennie Buatsie’s artwork (a Black artist featured in the shop), and it was insulting—the quality was lazy, rushed, and nowhere near as detailed as the white characters’ designs. Three taps and you’re done. Meanwhile, the white illustrations get all the care and artistry. It’s shameful, disappointing, and speaks volumes about the priorities of the developers. The app had potential to be inclusive and relaxing, but instead reinforces exclusion and inequality. Locked upI loved this game in the beginning but now I am over 1100 pictures in and the game has locked up and not updated any pictures since June 8, 2025. I bought a brand new iPad about 8 weeks ago and everything transferred smoothly and I was thrilled but for the last 3 weeks I haven’t been able to get any new pictures or daily pictures I’m just stuck at June 8th. Very relaxing until……you started popping ads up DURING a picture I was coloring. I used to really enjoy this app. It’s the only one I can find that will let me color in landscape instead of portrait. The charge for monthly pictures is absurd but there are enough free pictures to last a very long time. I would color for a couple hours to relax after work but not so sure I’ll do much anymore now that an ad pops up 2-3 times during 1 picture. It’s annoying enough to have to watch them before and after each picture but these pop ups in the middle can’t even be closed. I have to completely close my app then reopen it so I can continue. Too many small piecesThe highlighted section that show you where to color is not prominent enough it needs to be brighter and larger, also each color is too scattered all over the place. There are too many tiny spots that are hard to find within a color. You need to keep it more organized by color. Also do not make it so you have to tap each and every section to color it, simplify it a bit. You lose interest because it’s frustrating, it is suppose to be relaxing and calming and it is anything but. Cost to remove ads, get hints and get premium pics very highThe pics are nice but the ads are not and there is no one-time fee to remove them.
