Love the new version!I think that like most everyone I was very upset that AC pocket camp was ending. I wasn’t even sure that I would buy this app but I have always been fond of the developers ideas. I couldn’t be happier honestly! You can get SO much more with this version. I keep discovering new and exciting things at every turn! In pocket camp I would see tons of stuff that I wish I had the leaf tickets to buy. I would save leaf tickets and get one or two things I could afford. But with this new version there are so many customizations you can do! From the planner, the van, the fortune cookies, unlocking premium items that I could only dream about! Whistle pass is cute as well and it’s nice to see some familiar faces. I love that there are still going to be events that keep the game exciting. Loving it!As someone who used to play the original Pocket Camp (but was free to play), I was blown away immediately. The game still has it’s original feel, sure there’s no more online, but to me it’s convenient for the times where I might not have access to the internet for whatever reason. The game at least so far seems much more generous with the leaf tokens compared to the leaf tickets, I was able to get so much stuff, from permanently upgrading the craft times, to buying a few fortune cookies and getting stuff I wanted, to buying some clothes from the shop. To anyone new, there’s no micro-transactions here, once you buy the game, that’s it, you get all the content. I actually find this better than the original in that aspect, it’s cheaper too, compared to paying a monthly subscription for all the extra stuff like the planner pack. My only thing that irritates me is the fact that though whistle pass is very cute and you can see all your friends still, it enrages me, knowing that you can’t visit other peoples campsite because if you think about it, then what am I actually decorating my campsite at all anymore for.. if not to show it off to my friends online?! I think that it would be awesome. If you guys didn’t update where if you click on someone’s camper card, you would be able to visit their campsite to check it out. GREAT New Version!!I’m super pleased with this restructuring of the original Pocket Camp. I loved the old game, but the micro-transactions or special membership features became too pervasive and consistent; I felt like I was constantly being asked for money. A one-time payment is very much preferred, and now many of those features are available for everyone. The in-game “special” currency (the new leaf tokens) is given out generously, and used on many fun items, so I feel like there’s always something new for me to find. I also love having access to the full catalogs, so I have the option/potential to grab things I may have missed out on. Whistle Pass is also a fun (and beautiful) space where you can ask for quarry help (and you need far less people!). I really like the custom design featureIt’s basically the same as pocket camp but without friend gifts. I do enjoy the custom design feature. It’s a great option to connect with custom designs like all the animal crossing games. Thanks so much for not just closing Pocket Camp and taking the time to make a remake. Basically the same thing, but it feels like lessWithout the online/wifi we can’t easily pass over data to another device, for older players who like and played the game that aren’t familiar 100% with tech (or more specifically settings) it may be harder for them to know how to pass over data to another device manually instead of automatically. Without the friends it feels a lot emptier too, even though the game has been recently released and won’t have everything from the other game I feel that friends were an important addition to the other game, especially with visiting other campsites, gifts and favorite photos. (Also, it would be nice to be able to remove the camper or move it in the campsite, it gets in the way of decorating. Love but don’t love the new friends systemI love the game especially the new leaf token system. It’s far easier to get them and collect clothing that you’d like. BUT I really don’t like the camper cards, we already barely had any way to show expression or a way to notice our friends, but now we can’t even gift, add our favorite picture and give other people stamps as a reaction, there is no market box which I really do not like and you cannot even really make friends unless you know people in real life that have a camper card. So I’m grateful that I even made a bunch of friends on the other Pocket Camp because there is no longer random wandering players that you can friend and it feels lonely. Love it so far!!!So I’ve been playing pocket camp since it released in 2017, and it’s hands down one of my favorite mobile apps, if not my absolute favorite. There were some things I didn’t really like about pocket camp, for example how i found it hard to earn leaf tickets without having to buy them, but i love the new “leaf tokens” currency! i find them SO much easier to collect and save up, i also love that you can trade in cards for older items you might have missed out on. all of my data transferred pretty quickly and efficiently and over all the process of moving over to this app has been really smooth! thank you nintendo for 7 years and hopefully many more to come ❤️.Emma 🐢Version: 7.1.0

The old version was more funAlthough the new version makes it easier to earn “leaf tickets” and access to all of the special furniture items, I still liked the old one better because, in the old version, you can have more interaction with other players through giving each other gifts, sharing creatures, water plans, buy/sell market box items, help with entering the quarry,…etc. you really get a sense of community and build online friendships (without ever talking to each other). Those features are what makes the game really fun and exciting to play… to see which friends helped you out or gave you gifts. Great!I tried and tried to get into the old pocket camp, but was immediately turned away by the micro transactions and annoying mobile game antics (like having to wait in real life time for things to be finished unless you payed premium currency to skip it). Pros and ConsI love that this version of the game makes special items so much more accessible to those of use who can't afford pay to play. I'm disappointed, however, that it lacks the interaction with other players. Still seeing their avatars at Whistle Pass isn't the same. I miss the market boxes and helping each other with events. Really enjoy, it’s very niceI played the old version and I really like how you only have to pay once to get all the advantages it was hard to gain leaf tickets but now it’s so easy and fun to do through seasonal events. Best Preservation PracticeIt's what it says on the tin, pretty much a premium version of the original free-to-play game with a few new additions, a new area, and without any microtransactions, FOMO, or slowed progression. It can also be played offline. It's really chill, and all of the original content is included (besides promos), and can be reacquired through recurring seasonal events or a less common currency. I'm really surprised how well they preserved a F2P mobile game, and hope to see more preservation efforts in the future Really hope there's a save backup option in the future though. LonelyIt’s cool that it’s a one time purchase and that you can access all the features without any subscriptions. It’s easier get cookies and seasonal items. The downside is that you can’t interact with any other campers other than at Whistle Pass, and they’re just NPCs. You can’t visit their campsite or give kudos. Absolutely obsessedI’m a level 200+ player who has been playing since launch day. This game is essentially rewarding people for the several years it ran online. It eagerly hands out in-game currency, event rewards, and having access to the library of items 24/7 using tokens that are fun to acquire is so fun. The calendar widget is back, the friends-feature has been handled very delicately with cards, whistle pass and random help with garden events from players acquired by card-collecting…it’s everything I could have wanted from this app and more. Fun game but some issues are happening after the 18.2 iOS update.So. As of lately, I’ve been enjoying Pocket Camp Complete when I noticed after updating to iOS 18.2 and up, there’s been lots of game slowdown and bugs going up whenever I play the mobile Animal Crossing installment on my third generation iPhone SE with slight lag and loading issues after the big update. Games’ still enjoyable however with its game mechanics and gameplay after upgrading from Pocket Camp to the new Pocket Camp Complete app. It is fun though to repeat and would give it a 5 out of 5, just needs a slight update to be Apple Bionic Chip 15-friendly to keep up due to lag and bugs happening after the big update. Happy to put my skepticism to rest!Okay, I was a little skeptical when Nintendo announced that they were closing out the old app for a new paid one but I love this so much more and I honestly forgot how much the app entails. Does not saveWhile I initially appreciated that Nintendo was giving its players the opportunity to continue playing this game after they decided to cease supporting it, I now regret paying $10 for it (there was a discounted price offered to players when they first transitioned to Complete). I’m not sure why they kept the Friends feature when there are no updates to my Friends’ cards and they seem forever frozen in Halloween / Christmas attire when the original game ended. I only realized my Friends’ cards weren’t being updated because the only in-game friend that I know irl was surprised to see her avatar and level didn’t reflect her recent changes. This actually makes looking at my Friends’ cards pretty depressing as it’s a constant reminder that the game is actually dead and this is just a prolonged goodbye as I can’t bring myself to take it off life support. But the worst part that makes me regret purchasing this is the fact that it no longer saves any changes to your account to the cloud so that you can redownload your most recent data to other devices. I recently purchased a new device and downloaded Complete only to discover that it didn’t save any of the updates I made over the past 6 months. I realize that Nintendo is trying to phase out Animal Crossing Pocket, but I don’t understand why it’s so difficult on their part to allow us to backup our data. Not quite worth it :(When I heard there was a new pocket camp game coming out I was both a little upset and excited. For a game that was entirely free before i expected there to be a lot more added for it being $10 now. there is a new location but it’s completely useless all that you go there for is to ask for quarry help and watch concerts ie kk slider. There’s absolutely no interaction with friends which makes all the “new perks” of making journal content purchasable irrelevant. you can’t gift friends or literally anything. My favorite thing about the new game is the replacement currency of whatever the cash was called. MehI have been playing Pocket Camp for 5 years now, and was honestly sad when they announced the end, but was excited about Pocket Camp Complete! Love but don’t love the new friends systemLiterally not playing anymore there’s 0 social stuff anymore with friends it feels lonely as heck. I really don’t like the camper cards, we already barely had any way to show expression or a way to notice our friends, but now we can’t even gift, add our favorite picture and give other people stamps as a reaction, there is no market box which I really do not like and you cannot even really make friends unless you know people in real life that have a camper card since there is no random players on the maps anymore. Sad..I’ve been playing this game for years and I went to update it a little while ago only to come back to it saying I don’t have an account. Needs more improvementI really love this game and how you play and I love all the cute items and clothes you can collect! But I just have a huge problem with there still being a lack of leaf tokens, times material, sparkling stones and how it can be hard to get essence bottles once you have characters over 15 hearts. I am someone who likes to “complete” games so just seeing that you don’t even have the resource to collect/craft everything for the whole month just gets me a little mad. I am level 252 and it takes a whole 35 hearts to level up and I only get 50 least tokens ?! I feel like the prizes for level up should get higher as you gain more levels. I agree with others that the game isn’t as much fun with no interaction with other players. There's no real connection at all. No incentive to fix up your camp. Miss the old game 👎🏻It seems that almost everything these days is more expensive and lower quality than it used to be. Unfortunately, Animal Crossing PC Complete is no exception to this. I was very open minded about the new game and excited about some of the changes, but so far I have not found much joy in the additions and find myself missing the things that were taken away (especially the Market box). I was looking forward to acquainting myself with Whistle Pass but soon realized that it was no more than a gimmick. Without a market box, there is no point of me collecting special items anymore, bc it is not fun to sell them just to the game. A huge benefit of the new game is supposed to be no in app purchases and easier to get leaf tickets (which have been renamed) but now I have 500 leaf tickets and there is no more resource management, so I find myself just spending it on things I don’t really want or care about. I really miss the online features and interaction with friends. The “Camp Cards” are just as impotent as the concert at Whistle Pass and clearly only exist to make up for taking AWAY our friends interactions. It wouldn’t exist otherwise and is really odd. Each “friend” might as well be an NPC. I bought the new game bc I knew I loved the franchise so much and couldn’t go without it. I told myself to be patient and it will be an adjustment period but eventually I will get used to it.
