Like dragon age II x fable IThis is my first review on the App Store. This game is already my favorite iOS game (except of course for kotor). The combat and movement dynamics are fluid, intuitive, and super satisfying, and the class system is dynamic and customizable, with skill/spell acquisition dependent on the stats that come with levels, and on finding/paying the trainers. For each trainer, the skill tree is totally linear, but at an hour into the game, I've already learned different types of spells from 3 different trainers, 2 of which I had to find by quest or accident. The zones are just simple enough that I don't overly miss the lack of area maps, but there are enough zones (travelled to on a world map with random encounters, some of which tie into the over all plot/begin new subplots) that the game doesn't come off as overly linear or simplistic. Other than the slight disoriented feeling that comes from lacking area maps, I only wish that the game had zoom and pan functionality, but none of these drawbacks are significant enough to diminish my enjoyment of the game. If you liked kotor (which you should play right now if you haven't) and the original fable (I loved the first one but the sequels to that game sucked), you will love this game if you give it 10 minutes..OleflarVersion: 1.3.1

New opportunity for success? Dear developers...This was a well thought out game, and many people love it. It obviously took a LARGE amount of work, but didn’t seem to receive the publicity it should have. I suspect this is why attention to the game dwindled (not enough potential revenue to justify further development)? In any case, the current times provide a remarkable opportunity. With Battle Heart Legacy already established as a high-quality game, the key is publicity. A large update (coupled with the current pandemic and therefore larger consumer base) may be enough for this game to gain the attention it deserves. In my humble opinion, allowing multiplayer (hosted on the user’s device—not something more risky investment-wise like remote servers) would most definitely generate excitement among players. From my limited game development experience, I realize this would be a huge and frustrating (haha) project. But I truly think multiplayer—the ability to connect with friends over long distances in these harrowing times—would push this game into the spotlight. Unusually good and creative rpgI don’t normally rate apps but felt this one deserved it. The game is well balanced, challenging, creative, and the class system gives an impressive amount of freedom for customization. The storyline is simple and funny and good enough. The mechanics are well developed but different: this game doesn’t feels like it copies anything. I particularly liked the fact that it dispenses with a crafting system, which I find tiresome in modern rpgs. My only complaint is that the depth and variability of the story and available quests is quite limited and limits replayability significantly, even when you switch classes. I won the game once and really enjoyed the whole experience. Now I am in the middle of replaying a second time with an entirely different class but still find myself getting bored. That is not, in my view, a sufficient reason to give less than five stars. But if the developers are listening, try playing the avernum games. Mix that broad and wide experience with this approach and you’d have something really unmatched. (I realized I just revealed my advanced age...).Why make me do thisVersion: 1.3.1

The best buuut...Na, I just wanted to be one of those reviewers that tricked you with the title. This game is literally perfect in every way. The graphics are REALLY good and the gameplay is even better. My favorite part about this game is the class system, there are your basic ones you start out with, the Knight, the wizard, the ranger, and so on but then, as you play the game more, you unlock awesome classes like the necromancer and the monk. I personally love the necromancer but I still played other classes too. Currently, I got bored of the game a few year ago but I just re discovered the game and I’m now wondering why they haven’t made a second game. This game does have some downsides like lack of side quests and out of the few side quests in the game, they’re not even that interesting. It doesn’t bother me that much because everything else in the game makes up for it. Please make a second game, I love this game but I wish there was more to it once you have done everything. One of the many most enjoyable mobile games I own.I own 50+ games for my iPad, and this is the best in its category. It’s a unbelievably fun action RPG. The action is great, it’s complex enough for die hard RPG fans, but it’s not so complex that if you put the game down for a few weeks you’ll have to start over. The humor is spot on, and the animations are great. I’ve been playing as a mage, but am just as excited to play the game again as a different class. Plus NO in game advertising or sales that I’ve seen. Want a game you can spend en a tire weekend in front of, or pick up when you have 5 or 10 minutes that always fun, this is it. The follow in for the developers and not a criticism of the game. In a new release, I would offer mini maps for individual missions/battles, some more enemy info, and the ability to undo purchases ( I’ve double clicked by accident more than once) This is one of the most fun games I’ve ever played..VertigoaVersion: 1.3.1

Great RPG phone game and would be the ultimate for me if the controls were just a bit different. The controls are touch at the enemy and the guy fights for you. I wish it was a Dpad and button to fight. The abilities are easy to click and use when you need them but the only problem I have is clicking on an enemy gets lost. Like you click to kill an archer with my barbarian and he will just stand there. He won't go over to the archer to swing at him. You have to click right in front of the enemy for your guy to walk over there and then click the enemy again to hit him. It would be so much nicer just to click the enemy. Plus when it gets intense you start pushing your abilities faster and if you miss the bottom at all you just tapped the screen now for your guy to move down. I've done this so much it's irritating. I want to use my first ability on bottom left of screen and I'll miss the square and end up tapping the screen next to the ability and there goes my guy running down the screen in the middle of battle. Controls are annoying but the rest of the game easily makes up for the short fall of that. Great for the money since there is no in app purchases too..=NOS=Version: 1.3.1

Truly an IOS masterpieceThis game has more replay ability than some sixty dollar titles out there. Years later I can hop back on and make a new build and take different paths to make a very fun and entertaining experience for a second time. The dialogue can be witty and well done, and the gameplay is fluid and smooth. Its art style isn’t as charming as the original Battleheart, yet it still manages to be a vibrant interpretation that’s altered slightly from the four-partied original. The beginning and ending are very well done and are enticing and interesting, but the middle game (12-25) tends to be very lackluster. Every good RPG has a good grind, but sometimes it can feel too grind-y. I’m personally very excited for Battleheart 2 and hope they make the game feel amazing through the entire experience! Best mobile gameThis game is a great RPG with amazing gameplay. I downloaded this app because I needed games to play and I had the first one and liked it. This game blew my expectations out of the water and easily became my favorite game. I now have over 300+ hours and completed the game multiple times with most classes and is still fun to play. Now that being said this game takes a while to get good but climbing the ladder to victory was an enjoyable experience. I only found one bug in my years playing it. You can teleport in some rocks with the wizard’s active teleport or the ninja’s passive teleport, but is very easy to avoid as long as you don’t tap on the rocks.(which is very easy not to do) This game is incredibly smooth with reliable data saves. What I was looking for!I am a big fan of RPG series such as the Neverwinter Nights series, Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, KOTOR, and Diablo. I am a huge fan of the Forgotten Realms. This game allows the player to pick their class and level them up how they see fit. Initially you start as a fighter and then get to choose how you progress. My favorite class to play in most RPGs is the Monk class. In this game, I was able to build my Monk, and multi-class him with a Ninja. It is very pleasing to watching leap in and out of the fray without taking any damage. The story and Dialogue are not very deep. But the replay value, and ability to master your character's stats and find better equipment is awesome. This game is a great find for RPG fans. Perfect RPGHey guys, So I'm not a huge gamer but I've always loved RPG games. I'm super picky about what I play though. I wanted something that was clean, fun, essentially bugless, and exciting, with all the basics of RPG play, with good 3D graphics, with replay value (You can change your character each time you play), and that you could purchase up front (with no adds or other in-app purchases). This game was the only one I could find that fit them all!!! Some things to consider: - You get to choose your personality, which I personally REALLY like. But whether you choose good, bad, or something else, you can't get all that emotionally deep with your character. The whole storyline had a lot of humor with a few serious parts. - People and creatures die all the time. But there is no blood. There are certain techniques that have blood but they're optional and overall it's pretty clean. Sex stuff is practically non-existent. I doubt kids would even notice. Clothes are good. Sketchy conversation would hard for kids to spot. Above considerations don't cause me problems. This game is, in my opinion, a practically perfect RPG. I highly recommend it..NeurlimonVersion: 1.3.1

Worth the buyHonestly I have been playing this game for about 3-4 years and I have to say it’s one of the funnest games I have ever played. This is a game that only comes once in a life time, I recommend 100% to buy this game, the graphics and perfect and the game has a basic backstory that is very entertaining. Perfect game, requirement for a sequelThis game has all the content I desire on a mobile platform, a good story, little to no glitches or bugs and plentiful with content as a mobile game. The choices actually effect the story in quite a large way such as when you can choose to help (Spoiler alert) Rose from the knights and unlock the Ninja class, or help the knights to capture Rose, same goes for the battlemage. The only thing we need left is a sequel or an update to expand the game with the resources from Battleheart 2, possibly adding online multiplayer as an option for Legacy 2? The Mobile Gaming Scene PerfectedI played the original Battleheart a few years back. It was pretty amazing, but not nearly as astounding as it's sequel. Battleheart Legacy delivers everything you could want in a sequel. At the same time it serves as an amazing stand-alone game. I can see the effort that was put into this game. There are literally thousands of ways to play this game. The graphics are beautiful, the music is great, the story is superb, and the replayability is wonderful. It feels like a triple A title just because of how high quality it is. The price is a small fee for a game as great as this. There is not a single thing wrong with Battleheart Legacy. My favorite gameThis game is really good considering it’s a mobile game. I spend hours and hours on this game it’s a great time waster. Even though you can beat the game in like 4 or 5 days if you concentrate on just that character, you can replay it and play as a different class and make other choices and still have a great time. It’s really cool how some classes you need to find or do a quest to get. It would be great if you could update it like have a new class or even races like Elves or Dwarves and you start out with some bonuses to your stats, or maybe you could make subclasses. Great game, untapped potentialThis is one of the most fun RPG’s I’ve played in years. I know I’m discovering it late, but still really holds up graphically and game play is a superb mix of strategy and real-time tactics. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because it has loose ends in the story line that seem to presage expansion, yet looks like nothing is in the works. What a missed opportunity since the narrative, replay value and skill building mechanics could support tons of further content, which I would unhesitatingly pay for! Don’t let that deter any first-timers though. Fantastic GameOne of the best mobile games I have played thus far, and by far the best gameplay. Even after beating the game in its entirety, I went back for another two playthroughs to try out some of the other classes. My only minor critique for the developers is it would be great if there was less randomness to the loot in general. For instance, zone specific loot for main quests, or the ability to pick arena loot after reaching certain totals (i.e. get 200 kills and you can pick which legendary you want instead of praying to the RNG gods). Way better than expectedAfter looking for a good RPG on iPhone, I played Bastion, wayward souls, and countless others while those are all very good games I held off on buying this one mainly due to the art style. However after getting this game I was very impressed at how great of a game it is. It is very deep and don't mind the other reviews about the sectioned off areas it's not that big of a deal. Only one issueThis game is creative, intuitive, well-made, and fun to play. I've poured MANY hours into it. There's just one problem: The New Game + system is really unintuitive. The button to start a New Game + is right next to the button to delete your file. I spent hours maxing out every class in the game but two (to make a final build), only to click the wrong button and lose all my progress. In addition, you can't rename your character on a New Game +, so if I were to make multiple builds, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart from the main menu screen. One of the best mobile games ever?Almost everything about this game is absolutely perfect. The graphics are great for a simple, free mobile game. The dialogue is HILARIOUS, and it leads to some choices that you never thought were possible. The skills and equipment are surprisingly creative for an RPG. This game has SO MUCH replay ability. Almost PerfectBattleheart Legacy is an incredibly fun RPG that brings you back to old school games like the Final Fantasy series. However, the one problem with this game is that there aren’t very many NPC related storylines, for example, if you try to learn the Ninja class, you eventually get in a fight with the knights. After this you say that you can help the Ninjas bye getting the guards off their back. However this never progresses. In the game you are also able to join the Cartel at multiple points, but it never develops. While not complicated in terms of the fights, I am terrible at games that actually require lots of skill, it is definitely worth the price for the quality you are given. One of the best mobile RPG’s out thereWe need more game’s like this on the App Store that is open world and gives you choices on what class you want to play. For example a wizard NOT everyone is gonna find playing a rouge running around with a dagger fun. Great game but some suggestions.I love this game one of the best RPGs I have ever played but here are are some things you could maybe add. You can add boats for the pond on the map. Pet shops where you could buy visible pets that you could buy skills for. Mount shop for traveling faster. And last but not least a new map for levels 30 and above. Everything You Look For In An RPGIt's amazing. It has everything you look for in an RPG. It's semi open world and you can even have encounters while traveling from place to place. The only other thing I would like to see are races in the game. But other than that you get classes, and you can multi class and everything. Absolutely SuperbHands down my top mobile game of 2015. At first I was disappointed that the team aspect that I had enjoyed so much in the original Battleheart wasn't part of Legacy, however the gameplay more than makes up for it. What I was looking for in a mobile RPGAnother review mentioned KOTOR and Fable 1 in their comparison of this game. That alone got me to buy it and play it. I’d like to add that there is also a fair comparison to Final fantasy tactics, in terms of classes and jobs and how to mix them. This is a great game. It has character development depth, but not overly complicated, like Baldur’s Gate for mobile for example. It’s a good mix between casual and in-depth. What were the devs thinking?Game starts out strong but soon I realized there was not going to be any real depth to the adventuring after just a few hours of play. The worst thing by far though is the "final" boss battle. Prepare to get extra salty by not being able to just retry instantly when you die. All the problems with the combat design come to the forefront when casting spells in the boss battles, but just wait til the big one. Animation locks. Those heal pots not being instantaneous. A Perfect Action RPGAlthough this game is many years old, it still holds up. Simple progression story, surprisingly deep character customization, a wide variety of items (all of which appear on your character), fun gameplay mechanics, pets/familiars (!) that fight side-by-side with you, and no micro transactions! I love this game to bitsEver since I found this game I instantly fell in love with it. Great game but...... towards the end of this game becomes very grindy and can take hours of pushing through dungeons gaining XP before you can start gathering the final Crystals. My only other dislike of the game is the dialogue is too meta, I mean I understand the game is trying to be funny and all but it's dialogue is way too short and 4th wally and if it had an ounce of depth I would care to finish the game to see what the ending gives me. The positives! Graphics and live gameplay are the best I've seen in any mobile game thus far! The character type variety is great with, Warrior, Mage, Bard, Vampire and Shaolin master to name a few, each character type giving you several awesome moves to unlock and use in battle. The enemies and dungeons are tough and look great also. An unfinished mobile masterpieceThis is probably my favorite mobile rpg, and one of my favorite RPGs in a long time. Between the simple controls, interesting art style, and fascinating universe, I'm just amazed. Solid RPGSolid game, if you liked the first one you'll like this one too. More free form than the first but same battle mechanics. Just one character to control, but you can train abilities from all the classes which gives a lot of options. Be careful early not to spread your stats out, I did that and the game was ridiculously hard. Very good mobile rpgAn excellent rpg for mobile. Good customization, difficulty, exploration, and humor. A few improvements would make it perfect. First, there is no where you can look to keep track of your quests. Second, the controls and UI in general are quite clunky. Last, some skills give inadequate information as to what exactly they do. Proof that mobile games can be real games.Though It starts off a little slow, it’s pure fun to build your character in all the different classes this game has for you! A really well-made gameI was a big fan of the original Battleheart, but for whatever reason never got around to trying this one when it came out. Battleheart legacyThis game is one of the best rpg games on the app store. Period. One thing though. When you make Battleheart 3, assuming you make one mika mobile, Implement a holy spell caster class using staves. Unholy magic got 2 classes neutral got 1 and holy didnt get any. I find the paladin is really more of a melee class with the aid of some holy magic and adding a Priest or cleric using staves and holy spells would be a good idea. But back to battleheart legacy, I think this is the best game I own and would appeal to anyone who enjoys rpgs at the slightest level a real jewel in the appstore. Replayability is off the charts and there's a new game+ which allows you to restart the game but keep all your skills. Better than just good…One of the few RPG games that doesn’t have or require in-app purchases, and is still able to provide a great gaming experience. Be warned about a few glitches, however. One tip is to not retain more than two (2) similar items, be they armour/clothing, magical items or weaponry; otherwise the game will be extremely slow to load and is more likely to crash for unforeseen reasons (even on an iPhone 6 Plus). This also means making sure to keep items pared down to the minimum (don’t turn into a packrat). Another thing to note, is this is definitely one game where it can drag a bit as one attempts to gain enough levels to beat each “boss” (i.e., it’s a grinder of a game). Warning. Dungeon levels do not necessarily match character levels for game play. There are a lot of great mini-tasks. Only a pity that those don’t have more depth. Item descriptions are great as well, but again, entire adventures could be created around them — I’m looking at you, “Piercing Sliver”. This includes character conversations/meetings — i.e., more continuation. One of the few games I would recommend to parents who have daughters, as you can choose one of four female characters (in addition to the four male) to play as. Faulty Game SavingBattleheart Legacy is a dungeon crawler game replete with quests, that sends you into various dungeons to complete said quests. There are approximately 12 classes to choose from, however 6 classes require you to unlock them. One of the cool features of the game is learning abilities from different classes, allowing players to create hybrid classes. Your character is tasked with retrieving 3 crystals that have been scattered throughout the land. To do this, you will need to level your character until you are able to defeat each boss guarding the 3 crystals. Completing quests and defeating monsters will earn you xp for leveling. Competing in the "Arena", will also earn xp, and once you are strong enough to defeat 100 arena monsters, you will earn "Legendary" weapons and armor. You may also purchase weapons and armor from vendors, however, "Legacy" is the top tier. That being said, this game has a huge flaw. When you play, saves don't always work (they are automatic), and you will find that your latest progress has been lost. This is very frustrating when you grind out several levels, stop playing for a while, only to come back and discover your progress didn't get saved.
