Great but…Game play is easy enough to understand even for beginners. Each level gives you goals to work towards completing and gives you the freedom to level up Heroes, buildings or skills first- this is where your strategy comes in. You’ll be rewarded with a decent amount of Rubies to speed up most Construction until about level 10. From there you’ll want to work on reserving these as Construction time tables will significantly increase. As far as your Heroes, after they reach level 30 you’ll spend most of your time completing Radar tasks to find enough food to continue to level them up, this is where I see other plays complain that the game is “pay to play”. 1 million food for 1 Hero to level up becomes several hours of game play where you have to limit your focus away from other important tasks like continuing to upgrade your Watchtower (your camps primary security) against nightly attacks. The biggest improvement the game could make is to make your Village shield 24 hours instead of only 8 hours at a time, this becomes gimmicky (money grab feeling) after the first 3 days of actual game play when your free village shield expires, from there your Village will be vulnerable to attacks and need a new Shield every 8 hours. Many players either stop playing after their initial Shield ends or move to other games with less pay walls. Needs work and be a little more F2P friendlyThe “free starter skin” is not at all possible to obtain as a F2P player. tried twice and only managed to get close to 7m out of the 10m requirement (and that is when I’m playing literally most of the day everyday and rushing as fast as possible.) and then the event ends. So im really disappointed with this outcome when it was achievable in WoS. The mini map doesnt show the correct position of where you are on the world map and the events that had taken place, When gathering resources theres mulitple issues there, when gathering the incorrect troops get sent causing me to manually select the troops to be sent otherwise they make multiple trips to even a small resource tile (even with enough troops on standby). Had multiple resource tiles show incorrect info (like a lvl 2 tile showing to hold over 4,000,000 inside its info, and outside showing 0) The game tho buggy is actually interesting and I do very much love the ability to drive around the map that and that you can change your mind midway to a location and relocate that truck to where ever else . That I give a high score to , but making it impossible to get that skin without paying money leaves me with a not really wanting to put money into this game.CrashstartVersion: 1.250.566

Good game-Bad SupportI’m actually torn a star rating to give as I liked the game for the short time had access to it, but lack of response to my question from developers doesn’t show credibility. I newly downloaded after seeing ad multiple times. Joined an alliance and leader was new to this style gameplay and since I played many of this style would help leader with questions how to do things. Approximately 2-3 weeks into game, I tried logging in to receive message saying account banned for violating rules. I honestly had no clue what developers apparently saw, especially since hadn’t been on game that long and server itself was quite new. So I used message form on game app and game email both to ask kindly what violation warranted a ban acknowledging I had no clue but if could explain to me what violation was/or show me image of it so I’m aware of it I would understand decision of the developers accepting honorably the decision. Sent 3X each of message and email to which never heard a response. You decide after my reviewCould be better. Game is a guarantee p2w. I played for 2 months and decided to spend around $20. After convincing my friend to play and he decided to drop around $100 and he is already beating my hero’s that I spent 2 months trying to level/ upgrade, so essentially about 1 week or less of work by throwing in about $100 and you will most likely beat someone who plays everyday for about 1+ month. Beside the massive p2w, the game is not bad, but I can’t see myself constantly paying $4.99 every day to get 10 hero token just to chip at trying to upgrade a hero. 1 hero upgrade = 5 piece of a star and to get one piece of the 5 star takes about 50+ hero tokens, for example 4 piece of the stars cost 50 tokens each and the 5th piece will cost you 100 tokens, so basically one full star will cost you 300 tokens. Btw you can get hero tokens it’s just a massive and limited grind, plus you are competing with people who spends a great amount of money on the game, so you figure how that goes. It's fun without bulliesThis game is a lot of fun when the top alliances lead with a fair mindset. Usually the top three alliances lead the entire state. In our state, currently, there are pay to play bullies with an endless stream of income that have caused more than 70% of the players to quit the state. We now have about ten alliances with less than twenty active players each who hang around to try to enjoy the game. However, two large alliances have made it so difficult to do that. More and more people quit every day. It is sad when a game promotes spending over gaming. I gave the game four stars because the game is fun when you have fair leaders leading the state. Don't spend money for the first 30 days. Learn to play free. Then if you see that the leaders of the state are good or experienced players, then spend till your hearts content. The game has several fake ads as well, in the style of fallout shelter and other popular games. It’s a money grab (refer to other comments), their support system doesn’t actually exist, and over a quarter of the game is Ai generated. They copy-paste the same exact replies to every single review, and the terms and conditions also stipulate that they aren’t legally required to give you a refund on any charges. Other reviews have stated fraudulent charges made by the game as well, so they exempted themselves from both refunding you, and playing the game waives your right to sue them for LITERALLY STEALING FROM YOU. PURCHASED ITEMS ONLY TIED TO CHARACTERS NOT ACCOUNTS?!Prior to the recent update, Radar and Adventure enemies felt balanced. If I was 2M power and the enemies were 1.5M power I would beat them with ease. Now I’m at 8M and can’t beat 3.3M? Additionally if you want to have multiple characters on the same account, your purchased items like heroes should be included on both characters. It’s ridiculous to have to buy the same hero on the same account twice. Along that same vein, if you purchased a pack to let you change your characters profile picture on one, it should be available on all your characters as long as it’s connect to the same account. I mean you already charge $20 for various monthly packs (which is crazy in my opinion as that high of a price for basically a battle pass isnt common in ANY games including console and pc games.) Waaaayy to many botsAs the title implies, there are way too many bot accounts in this game. Some of them contact you trying to get you to add them on discord WhatsApp or telegram with I don’t know what type of intent. If you even entertain the idea of adding them in any of these, they’ll try and get you to download another game for some reason. Then, if by any chance you called them out or anything, they will kick you off of the alliance that you have invested resources into. It is just very stupid how many actual bots are in alliances. I’ve already been kicked out of like four cuz of this reason, because I just refuse to add people on any of these other platforms for whatever reason. Pay to win but still kind of funIt’s extremely pay to win and that fact begins with the game having too many frequent events back to back and overlapping that don’t allow you to get the resources needed for each event without buying them. There is an “emergency center” that holds troops injured in battle and it’s specialty speed ups that you have to buy starting at 10 rubies for just 1 min of healing or $4.99 for **only 360 min** worth of speed ups. Which would be alright if it wasn’t usually 2-5+ days of healing. OR the 11+ days of healing I’ve had before which equates to roughly $220 if I want to buy enough of the single use speciality speed ups. Also the game chat feature has been broken for days. So far really fun!This reminds me of white out survival almost, but the difference is this game is way more giving with their time skip tokens. I quit whiteout because I couldn’t upgrade my fort without having to wait two days between, and I couldn’t progress my research to get more slots for the same, this game has a better reward payback and an easier loot system, and the alliances I’ve seen are pretty active which help! Great! MostlyThe game is fun, but the ad that got me interested is not in any of the gameplay yet after playing for a week and then it’s also the stupid world battle thing. So technically I could go a week saving up resources but someone with more power could come in attack me and take most of those resources and then I have to heal my troops and rebuild before I can think about trying to stock up again on the resources. For the devI love this game, but I have a few things that you need to deal with or this game will die out. 1: you need to take care of the servers you have instead of adding more. 2: deal with the accounts that are no longer playing and delete them from the servers. Log in issueHello, dev team from what I’ve seen from ads this game looks very promising but I’ve downloaded it and tried to get login into the game and it keet saying that I have no Internet connection and I’ve contacted support about it and I have not gotten a single response. I even deleted again and reinstalled it to see if they have Internet connection because my Wi-Fi boxes in my living room and I have Internet access to it. EnjoyableThe story totally sucked me in. Every character has their own story, and the quests just keep me coming back. It honestly feels like watching a super engaging movie – can't put it down! Mixed bag gameIt’s a zombie hunter, it’s a war game. It’s two, two games in one. Way too many buttons and features that make for confusing melange of game types. You have zombie hunters who also bring troop types and quantities similar to how you build armies in traditional war games. There is not strategy fighting. The game used to be goodThe game was good, prior to deleting it I reached lvl 25, you can achieve this level by just playing but it will take you a long time so if you want to grow you have to pay to play, you have no choice. False advertising. Cliche gameplay.First of all, nothing at all like the ads or even the pictures in the App Store. So, wth is that? As you progress you find out you are just a punching bag, or mining resource for everyone more powerful than you. The best part is that the game doesn’t gift or grant you a free shield after being attacked. So stronger bases are free to continue attacking you until you are zeroed out. Yay. I progress and build and mine just for someone to come along and steal it all. Lame. Really lame. I’m tired of being scouted no matter where I relocate or alliance I join. There is nowhere to hide. What’s the point? Get stronger and ruin someone else’s day? That’s not fun. I’d much rather have a solo experience without the usual “join an alliance, make donations” stuff. The open world thing is fine until you start getting raided and losing resources. Honestly with so many games, the fight against other players should be an option, not everyone likes coming back to a wrecked home. The Catherine character, the anime bimbo with cat ears is a bit ridiculous, follows the typical cliches. The other females are sexed up too but the cat thing? It’s a ploy to keep you spending, it’s by design even in the chat rooms, setup on a random ratio of previous game play where the servers recording active live realms, and all the while among 1 to 50 servers each will be randomly generated to perform the same conversation and enter actions of noob players joining. You think you’re in conversation, no matter what you reply no matter who you engage with, the results are the same. It’s a Money Pit where you the player gets shafted and the developers make you feel as if you’re a part of something real when you’re just a puppet of a already programmed game that already existed way before you even joined. Would be a good game if I could get past the tutorialI tried to report the problem instead of leaving a review but it wouldn’t let me. While playing through the tutorial, I got to the first big wave after meeting Selene. I had to shut my phone off for a moment and now I’m stuck. It starts the wave but the big zombie is defeated and leaves. So my people are getting attacked by small zombies while it’s keeps talking to me in a cut scene like way. If I skip through dialogue I manage to save the people. It wants me to burn the bodies. I think there are more than two it wants me to press but it only shows the two. All my icons are gone, aside from the two bodies I can’t do anything else. I can’t move the screen, nothing I click will let me interact with it. I’ve tried leaving the game and restarting it that didn’t work. I tried deleting it and restarting but it just brings me back to the same spot. I’d like to play it more but it’s broken. A Fun Game but Too Pay to Win for Free PlayersI have really been enjoying my experience as a free to play player so far. However, I have noticed a growing issue where progressing and winning often feel tied to spending money. And I can tell you that one of the ads really called my attention, pretty sure you seen it. It’s where five or six people have to look for a room. Horrible customer serviceI’ve spent hundreds of dollars on Dark War Survival, fully aware of its pay-to-win mechanics, but this latest experience has completely soured me on the game. I purchased two in-game items that were never delivered to my account. After submitting a support ticket, I received no response from customer service. Frustrated, I went through the App Store for a refund, explaining that I still intended to repurchase the items once the issue was resolved. The refund was granted, but then I got an automated message saying the game was deducting the items from my account—items I never received in the first place. Now my account is in the negative, and there’s still no way to resolve the issue since support remains unresponsive. This is unacceptable. If you’re thinking about spending money on this game, beware—there’s a real chance you’ll be charged for items you never get, with no help from support when things go wrong. The logic makes absolutely no sense at all whatsoever it reminds you of the 100 zombie base builder games they got going on. Get food,get wood get this get that. Pay to WinThis game requires money to become stronger. I play daily, I spent over $500 and I’m not even close to top 100 in my server. Keep in mind, our server fought a different server and lost. One player quit after spending over $2,000 in this game. I enjoy and I do not mind spending a few bucks. This game has many events and I enjoy the clan I am in it. The developers are great at that and thus I spend real dollars. I will keep playing till another game catches my attention. Only reason it is not higher rating it is because 1. There was a glitch at one point and I lost essential items that would made my Hero stronger and I don’t know how to reach for help about that (developers made it very hard to reach them, even me as a paid player) and 2. AlliancesIf you plan on playing this game it’s best you go in with friends. But don’t expect you all to be on the same server. When you make an alliance it has to be over 20 people and if your alliance gets disbanded theres no reimbursements. And if you’re on a crowed server. I see it all the time “oh I need an active group” but they don’t give an option to recruit them because they’re already in one. I feel like they are just toying with people’s hard earned gems. I just dropped 2k gems and i have a few people in mine and got a warning if I don’t get 20 in 3 days I’ll get disbanded and again I’ll waste another thousand gems. I don’t wanna make a new character on a new server and start over. They should make it where we can have a item or cost gems to move our base to a new state/server so people can move to a less crowded server to be able to recruit more without having to start over. Love the game, but no supportI’ve been playing this game without issue for a couple of weeks. I went to make another character and I got stuck at the loading screen. I clicked for Live Support and it’s dead as a door nail. If I don’t get help soon I’m going to quit the game and submit for refund of what I spent. If I can’t play, why keep it? Update: after 30 min of one response asking me a couple of questions, provided a response with screenshots. Now when I try to open the game I get a black screen. Save your money and your timeDark War is the same old game we have seen 1,000 times over. First it is not anything like the adds I saw. It is a typical base build game that is very catchy in the beginning. Sadly, like all the others, it is impossible to keep up with your guild and your server unless you are shelling out cash. It is fun and engaging for the first 24 hours of play, but then long time walls and pay blocks keep you from accessing any worth while content in a time frame that keeps the game engaging. Further the adds I saw showed it as a relaxing single player base builder.
