App is a good translator but has some drawbacksSo when downloading and subscribing for the yearly service, the app translates great. Just like google translate. However, the description states translate in real time. It really doesn’t do that. You have to type in let’s say English, hit the blue translate button then send the message. I thought I could just type and hit send and it will translate to let’s say Spanish, and send the message all at once. 2nd I’m not sure that this app translates the responses back to English. I still have to copy and paste the response and then switch language back to English to see the translation. I thought this app would allow seamless translation without having to copy and paste. At this point it is just like Google Gboard which is free…if I’m wrong devs, please let me know. For example on the Line app, there is a translating bot that will translate back and forth in real time. Love it when in Japan. Didn’t workI downloaded this app because it claimed it could translate words while texting, but it barely works at all. Almost every single time I tried to use it, the app just said it “didn’t know” instead of actually translating anything. That completely defeats the purpose of downloading a translation app in the first place. I tested it multiple times with different words and phrases, including very common ones, and I kept getting the same response. It didn’t matter what language I tried or how simple the message was — the app almost never gave a usable translation. If an app is advertised as being able to translate while texting, it should be reliable and consistent, not constantly fail. This app ended up being more frustrating than helpful and felt like a waste of time. I expected something functional, but instead I got an app that doesn’t deliver on what it promises. Not goodI accidentally paid for the pro app before I even understood how it worked or if it worked. It’s easy to send messages. Translated into another language but when someone responds to you, there’s no way they’re message. Do you will be translated back in to English. I still have to copy and paste every message sent to me and go to Google translate to understand what is being said to me. Locks in wrong words, assumes sex when converting and difficult to renew subscriptionsI noticed that while typing with Lingo active, it will lock in the wrong word and not allow you to change it. I had to deactivate it to complete the message. Also, it doesn’t recognize the sex of the person you correspond with and automatically assumes the male version in translation. Didn’t Receive In App PurchaseThis app broke auto correct and my emoji keyboard. I re-installed and upon doing so the app now doesn’t recognize that I purchased the yearly pro plan.
