Not too bad, gets frustrating at timesHonestly, this is one of the better tower defense games I’ve found recently. It’s more of the traditional style tower defense so no crazy stuff, just defending wave after wave of enemies from reaching the goal. It gets a bit hard really which I usually say is how it should be. This game can frustrate you though because after two or three tries you are out of energy and have to pay money or wait. Personally, I only spend money on games that don’t incentivize so much. If I can enjoy a game on the free daily credits and it’s not pay to win and impossible otherwise, I will spend sone cash to support what the developer has made. I don’t like the trickery many devs use these days. That said, this looked like one of those tricky games you get stuck in rather quickly but has surprisingly actually just been a hard game that’s challenging and fun. Longest AddictionI have been playing this game for so many years now. I have gotten hooked on many games. Short phases lasting anywhere from 1 month to a year at a time- I’ll be playing a game constantly. Spending more of my free time playing it than doing anything else. But whenever I’d get mad at the game or bored with it or needed a break from it, I ALWAYS fell back on my good ol’ TD Infinite. As of lately ( >6 months ), I’ve been on TD Infinite as my primary rather than my fallback. I just suddenly became determined to complete all the achievements (still working on it. Got like 3 or 4 left!) as well as keep up with the daily missions as an extra little challenge every day. One of the incomplete achievements I have is to do all the campaign levels on hard. I’m so close. And that was one of my ultimate goals I’ve set for myself with the game anyway. I’ll get there. And most importantly: I’ve NEVER spent a dime on this game! I feel like that would be cheating. You can easily get up the resources you would like to use by playing the game. Very good game!No annoying ads. Just one simple ad when starting the game up. There are resources you can buy, but like any good game you don’t NEED them to win. In fact, you don’t need to to even buy them. By playing the other game modes, you can grind out the resources needed. It’s not too challenging of a game, but it does make you think a little. The fact that’s it’s a free game as well boosts it’s rating in my opinion. Great quality, no cost. I honestly recommend buying a pack of resources just solely to support the devs, because we need more developers who make games like this. Only issues: the recharge mechanic is a bit annoying. But I never found it too problematic. The slow tower is severely under powered and useless. It should act as an AOE attack, unless the player targets an enemy, in which it will double the slowness at the cost of the AOE. One more suggestion: The rockets and flame towers also should be able to hit more than one enemy. Their dps is slow enough to make the current tower that hits multiple foes redundant..NaisagaVersion: 1.2.2

Fun game, bad mobile practicesI had a sudden hankering for a good, simple tower defense game. This game was buried under a few others but I started it and found it to be quite fun. It was exactly what I was looking for. It seemed really simple and fun. But then I hit my first road block doing the solo missions. That’s fine, I like a challenge. After a few attempts, however, I tried to give it another go and I was informed that I did not have enough stamina to attempt the level. That’s when I noticed a little bar with a total number and my current amount of stamina, and how much each level costs to attempt. It takes 5 minutes to recharge 1 stamina (or you can of course buy stamina). I’m at a point where you need 5 stamina per level attempt and only have enough to attempt a level 4 time before running out. So if you get stuck on a level and you don’t feel like paying money then you can be stuck on a level for several days. I’m currently on vacation and have all the time in the world, and that’s still not enough time for me to play this game as much as I would like to..IhateNicknamsVersion: 1.2.7

Great game, but pay to playThis has always been one of my favorite tower defense games, but through the years it hasn’t changed in the slightest. No new towers, no new ways to power up your towers, no updates even. Through campaign mode, the enemies get stronger and stronger, but the only thing to balance that is purchasing gems for power ups. So if you aren’t loaded with cash or you’re not an absolute genius when it comes to TD strategy, then good luck getting very far. I wish they would add some way to get the current upgrades in-game without purchasing them with real money, that alone would make the game better to play..Wunner GVersion: 1.2.1

Fantastic difficult gameI have been playing this game on and off for years. The gameplay is a lot of fun and the enemies and towers perfectly compliment each other. Each tower feels unique and vital in defeating specific enemies. The gameplay also changes from mission to mission. So mission require you stay alive for a certain amount of time, while others are objectives based off of the map ,and still some are the standard td wave style. The game also has a great story that made me want to keep playing. The images paint a picture of a far alien planet ,and I started to feel as if I was actually there fighting. The one problem of the game is it’s obscene difficulty. Sometimes the levels feel impossible. Inclined to agree with othersI want to like this game... I’m still playing it so there’s something. I have never played any of the earlier iterations of this game as I have read in other reviews, but I am inclined to agree that the difficulty is very sharp, and there seems to really want you to pay money for stuff. I think I am over halfway through the main story line as of this review (I just finished the level introducing the flame thrower towers). This late in and I can’t help feel disappointed that I don’t already have access to all the towers. And also cores. The game waves the idea of upgrading towers in my face but offers little in the way of allowing it without paying money (I presume). I tried saving up the in-game currency for a crate (5000 gold) and only got a single tower out of it. I was hoping it would have given me 2 or 3 things that might help give me more options. I can use that one tower to upgrade another tower- for which I discovered “upgrading” is only useful for infinite mode. because infinite mode won’t let you upgrade towers like you normally can in campaigns mode. Upgrading in infinite mode requires a lot of grind or a good chunk of cash because one upgrade doesn’t feel like much. Therefore, I postulate that each tower has more than two upgrades; because towers in campaign mode only upgrade two times but the upgrade there are clearly beneficial unlike a single upgrade in infinite mode. TLDR Very Grindy and feels like punishment for not going the pay-to-win route. But still kind of fun. One bug that needs to be fixedUpdate… new iPhone 14 (previously XR) and the game will not work at all now. Gives an unstable network error. Oh well. Been a good run. There is one iOS related bug and that deals with the app not rotating at all. It usually will auto rotate to landscape mode. I found by not clicking on the remember checkbox it helped. However, sometimes that initial window does not appear and you’re stuck with a portrait view. So the mapped button icons will not work. You will have to wait till tomorrow to play. I guess all in all not bad for a nearly 10 year old game..Really a nickname.Version: 1.2.2

Great MemoriesThis game is a classic for me that I have always come back to off and on, from 2012 until today. I recently re-discovered it after getting disgusted with Ace Force: Joint Combat, and the endless hacking that the developers have turned a blind eye to. I've waisted countless hours and dollars for 2 years, after finally realizing the stage 4 cancer that it truly is. This game however, is pure and hacker free. Awesome TD game crippled by bugs and paywallAwesome tower defense game, nice and challenging, and you can definitely beat the campaign on easy without paying for anything. Love it! Needs patches for improvement.I love the game itself. Very addicting. I would love it more if I understood how the tower upgrades worked. I’m deep and still don’t understand how to upgrade my towers. Need to be able to get resources for upgrades a powerups a little easier. The mechanics are a little buggy. Nice Tower Defense GameThis game is a lot of fun. As someone who has played tower defense games for decades, this has just the right amount of difficulty and variety of towers, enemies, maps, and strategies. The fact that you can only bring up to 6 towers per level is a nice strategic feature as well. My only suggested improvement is permanent tower upgrades. That menu is glitchy and doesn’t work. Honestly IDKIt’s actually a decent game but they need to get rid of the stamina in this because it actually keeps you from playing the game. A master class in power balance and strategy!A balanced power experience that is hard to replicate. A bit of a learning curve and can be very challenging. But even then, every mistake is never without a lesson or two. Hints are a bit hit or miss but never useless. There was no single tower that could be used to defeat every level, and many levels required a careful combination of towers to beat. One thing about the IOS versionAwesome game, my gf and I play it all the time! One thing though, on IOS, you can’t fully use any of the special weapons that use tilting of the device. For example, the special weapon, Gravity Shift, does nothing no matter what you do. That is the worser example of it. But for the Toxic Gas special weapon, you can’t move it around at all, only drop it in one spot. Fun on occasionThe game play is super fun to me. Some maps let you create your own path with towers, some paths are predetermined. It is challenging and a lot of maps require multiple tries to get the strategy down on medium and hard mode. I have two issues with this game: 1. You run out of energy quickly so you either stop playing for a while until it comes back, or you pay money for energy. When you’re trying challenge mode, you lose energy very quickly. The limited energy is just a cash grab. 2. Infinite mode has crashed on me about 6 times now. When you’re pushing near level 100, it’s a lot of time invested. Great game a bit hard thoThe game is great for the most part until you unlock the turret that does increased damage overtime then the levels are pretty much impossible you need faster attack speed upgrades in order to beat them and that’s expensive it could use a difficulty decrease or a decrease in booster prices. Better than othersI played this game a few years ago and it was just ok. I picked it back up recently and they made a lot of improvements that make the game a lot better now. I’d recommend this over others, but it’s not without its flaws. Expect somewhat annoying difficulty spikes. Edit: I previously gave this app 4 stars and my original review is above and it still stands, but I ran into a game mechanic that seems really terrible. You can enhance towers with specific items to give them specific abilities, but the enhancement has a chance to fail. At first I thought it was a glitch so I emailed the support and I learned it’s an intentional feature to make the game fair for everyone. Considering that explanation makes no sense because there’s no way to get an unfair advantage and you can spend actual money on something that might not even work, it’s pretty scummy for the developers to do that without at least making it clear and obvious, which they don’t. In fact it might not even be mentioned anywhere in game that enhancements can fail. Crashes any time I open it without internet connectionThis game is nostalgic for me and it’s actually pretty great. I don’t remember the internet-connected aspects from when I was younger, and it’s definitely gotten some “upgrades” (they’re cool for the people who want them, but meh for me), and I am NOT impressed with the fact that the app just stays on the black loading pre-menu screen forever if I don’t open it with internet connection. That feels like very poor design. Used to be a great gameI played this years ago and loved it. I came back to it now and the game just is not fair at all. If all you do is play on easy mode it’s fine, but I want the greater difficulty. In the old version this meant like starting a map with fewer resources to increase the challenge. Now, in normal and hard modes, randomly an enemy is greatly buffed. Sometimes start the first wave and the first enemy released is buffed and there is zero chance of killing it without paying money. Try again and maybe get to the third wave before a random buffed enemy comes out. Original Version Was BetterThe previous version of this app was perfect. I don’t even understand how stamina works and there’s no explanation anywhere easy to find. I’m not paying just to get restarts on levels when the levels on easy have been made even more difficult. Honestly would’ve been better off charging for the app outright. There’s a random error message that comes up that forces you to restart the app. I’ve now lost their virtual currency TWICE because of this error (while beating the last campaign level no less) have emailed their support and gotten no response. Pay to Play extremeAs others have said, the previous version of this game was perfect and I loved getting perfect scores on most levels. Unfortunately, they have completely killed any ability for me to do that with this version. Fun Game, but you can’t play it for longGame is addicting and very fun to play if you’re into tower defense. The Stamina limit doesn’t let you play the game for very long. If you have to restart a round you use the stamina. If you lose the round you use the stamina. It increases, but so does the cost of starting the level. If you’re on a hard level you may only be able to play for 5 minutes before having to let the stamina recharge. It gets to a point where you can’t get any further without spending money for upgrades and that’s on easy. Takes your moneyUnfortunately this game is super unstable with horrible customer service. While playing I spent $10 on gold and crystals. When I went to use them, the game gave me network errors. Then after restarting the game I login to find that it had taken my gold and crystals despite the network error (which is funny that there was enough of a “bad connection” that I couldn’t play, but not enough to still take my items/money). When I contacted customer service they just said that unfortunately the game is unstable. Nothing about trying to refund my money or credit my account the items they took. Horrible customer service. Too buggy for 5 starsThe section where you pick the level you want to play in campaign doesn’t work properly. It’s off center and you can’t tell what level you’re selecting. You would think you could avoid it by using the map instead, but any tap there sends you off to the left. I’ve downgraded my rating to three stars because it won’t let me progress past Dry Ice. It doesn’t save, I can’t pick anything else further ahead. Super frustrating to start a game and not be able to finish it. Changing my rating down to one star because this still isn’t fixed. App has issuesThis game is very fun but I am experiencing some issues that ruin it. For one, the game is supposed to be in landscape orientation but often when I open the game app it is stuck in portrait orientation which caused the entire screen to be distorted and I can’t click on anything because nothing is in the write place. I have to restart the app multiple times to get the app to open correctly in landscape orientation. Also, the game is not progressing beyond a certain stage no matter how many times I play and win that stage. It’s just stuck at that stage (B5 wasteland). Great game but brokenI constantly run into things that make the game impossible to progress in. In one of the levels after failing to beat on my first try it now starts with 0 coins so it can never be played again. When trying to enhance towers in infinite it randomly says enhancement failed and I lose 2-3 stun or slow etc enhancements that it took weeks to collect. Some normal and hard modes on random levels will never unlock- after getting every achievement possible on them. Pay to play and win. Frustrating.Due to requiring stamina for every retry, you ruin the fun of trying different tactics. I would gladly pay $2 for unlimited stamina, or at least to retry maps I've already played (which should be less stamina to play). This is TD, and retrying maps should be encouraged, not limited. UPDATE: This game is even worse than I thought. Normal difficulty sets you up to fall. Every time you restart a map, the enemies change so there is no strategy you can employ. Fun but unusableI enjoy this game but the navigation between maps is currently buggy to the point of the app being unusable. You scroll to the next map by swiping with your finger laterally. But when I do it, the map list rubber bands in the opposite direction. If I am able to eventually get to the next map in the sequence, selecting does not launch it. It seems I have to let the game sit for a day or so before it is finally not buggy and lets me continue on with play. Too GreedyI love a challenging game. This game is challenging. But the challenge is designed to frustrate the player into spending money. You don’t spend money to open extra content or secret missions or even to get special add-ons to your towers, it’s just to alleviate the frustration. I am enjoying the game but won’t spend money on this game for the simple reason that the developers just seem too greedy. I will let my energy replenish and try the stage I was on again. Garbage Company that Bullies Indie DevsThe Tower Defense game genre is a common terminology that had been used since 1990 with the very first Tower Defense game "Rampart". Ever since they got trademark to "Tower Defense" back in 2008 (which some non-gamer at the USPaT Office obviously didn't do any research on when they granted it), COM2US has bullied any indie game dev that dares use "Tower Defense" in their game description, let alone in their game title, and threatens them with litigation. This Korean based company is taking advantage of the Apple and Google app stores and should be ashamed of themselves. Restructure FailThis was one of the very first games I played on iOS years and years ago. It was awesome and I rocked serious hours on it. But they restructured the game to an amazing degree and killed the entire enjoyment, adding new enemies that are much stronger and requiring a pay to play stamina bar. It’s sad. The balance of this game used to be a perfection that other mobile games should aspire to. That it was conceived in the time of smart phone infancy, especially, is remarkable! Pay to play and connectionFirst something I do not understand is that this game uses WiFi. The only online feature is a leaderboard and when I open the game it says poor connection. I am at my home network with 3 bars; How!? Also with someone previously said, there are far too many micro transactions. The max energy that they give is unfair and you have to literally pay money just to keep playing. That is a huge turnoff for me. Unbalanced“Easy” mode is fine until the Defense level (about level 8), where four waves attack simultaneously from four directions at lightning speed (even while set to “1x” speed). BuggyI’m not sure if it’s just an issue for me. The game only plays in landscape view. At least 2-5 times a week, it loads in portrait view and the screen will not adjust when the phone is turned on it’s side. I’ve tried restarting the phone and it does not help. After a few campaign rounds at easy or normal you'll try to play an Infinity or Challenge level and quickly realize the excruciating amount of time it would take to build a decent arsenal...unless you pay. Even trying to go through the Hard rounds in campaign is categorically impossible without any upgrades or perks. Either you spend gold for perks (which you earn in the mindless few challenges you can complete) or you pay $$$. This is a fact. A3 (just the 3rd level) is impossible to beat without any perks or spending (from actual $ to in-game gold which takes hours to collect). I've tried every combination of towers and it can't be done.
