Up With This Beanstalk!Dark Parables:Jack and the Sky Kingdom is another winner in this lovely series from Blue Tea Games. I own all that are available for iPad, I think. Each one is intricately illustrated, and a true joy to play. For starters, there are additional Morphing Objects to collect in each scene. Obviously, this story is loosely based on Jack and the Beanstalk, but it just takes off on a tangent from there! Much like the previous Dark Parables, the Hidden Object scenes are usually three sections where you find objects that combine their parts to make an Inventory Item. The hint usually points you to the appropriate part of your scene and lets you try to solve it. There are beautiful puzzles, such as the cut out scenes where you manipulate items until you reach your goal. For example, switch the flowers, make the Wizard rain on the beanstalk, and climb to the Sky Kingdom. Clever, and more entertaining than many other games. There is an interactive map that is helpful. When I realized that this was a new Blue Tea offering, I purchased it even before playing the trial! Now I am into the game, and really enjoying myself despite a heavy thunderstorm outside! Dark Parables: Jack & the Sky Kingdom by LynxMinxIf I rated based on beauty, it would be a 5-star game. Gorgeous graphics and cut-scenes! But I don't! I rate on playability and enjoyment. This game wasn't all that long, even with bonus adventure. The only HO scenes are where you put together a fragmented, albeit gorgeous, item. The puzzles/ mini-games did not have enough variety, and most were boring. But the worst part was that you had to tap incredibly hard when picking up items and moving between locations. At least load time was instantaneous between scenes, and inventory was labeled. When you received an item in an HO scene, it said what it was. There was a map, but it was neither teleporting nor did it mark the location with an active task, just an objective. (Unless it was an HO scene and then it was marked with a star). I love the series, but this was my least favorite of the whole series. At least NO RATS to make me even more irritated! Blue Tea, in the next one, can you please make objects easier to tap and give us a teleport map? Also, the game could be lengthened and have more puzzles as well thanx! Blue Tea Games wins again!Ok, ok, I get you, this game was not perfect. You had to tap multiple times to get HO items, and maybe there were too many "put the pieces together" HO's. But the voice-overs were incredible, and the graphics were Perfect and more beautiful than any I have ever seen. Blue Tea was meticulous about the details, and the music was superb. So what that the map was useless, the plot and precision were marvelous. I have played every Dark Parables game, and as soon as Blue Tea finishes the next one (Repunzel) I will buy it too. There are other companies out there that get maps better, and have much better touch, but no one has a prettier game that makes you want to keep playing than Blue Tea!.RgtolboeVersion: 1.0.3

This is beautifully done, the artwork is gorgeous and the music is very soothing. We are jewelers and also collect many old pieces that are used in the devices here. That is a delight. I wish we could redo the puzzles that had you search for the beautiful jewelry and devices in the extra section. The music is lovely too...but I would like a nicer transition between the tunes. Not as good as the rest of the series, but lovely graphicsGosh, Blue Tea does make a beautiful game. The graphics, the voice overs, the fluidity of the game (no loading is really nice), the storyline -- well, Blue Tea just excels at this. However -- a few flaws. It just seemed like I was randomly picking up charms...there was very little interaction with other characters. So I felt like I was just tapping the entire screen without really knowing why, but to make sure I was collecting everything. And because I was picking up so many items (without really knowing why) and the fragmented HOPs, it felt like an exercise in fingertapping -- and some of the touch points required a little too much of an exact tap. This one...well, it was just not my cup of (blue) tea. I normally love this series, but I think I'll pass on Jack. Great story poor updateI had trouble with the hidden objects to the point of frustration because items would not always respond to the first tap. They required multiple tabs or enlarged picture to respond. Also, The map did not allow you to move quickly between locations but just showed you the location you needed to go to. In addition, The legend was not always accurate because there was no objective to be done at the location it indicated. when you pushed hint, it told you to go to different location from the map. Fun game, gorgeous musicThis is not the first 'Dark Parables' game I have played. I always buy them as soon as they come out because they are so much fun. Could have been 5 but.....Could have been 5 stars but only 4 for the following reasons- map wasn't really helpful as it was not interactive at all, way to many difficult hos. They were very cluttered to me and objects a bit difficult to find, especially if you're a bit color blind like me. They had to be tapped a couple times at times but not always. Beautiful, logical, as are all in this series.The game is logical, easy to navigate, and beautifully drawn. The stories fit the game tasks, the hidden object games are precisely drawn and naturally hidden, and the additional games are interesting and vary in their difficulty levels. I must say though that the second parables the Frog Prince is still my all time favorite only because it was longer and harder. I've enjoyed this whole series!I love the art on these games. The HOPs make sense. They aren't just random objects in a screen, but create key items to figure out the mysteries. BewareMap does not teleport, you must tap several times on an item and once I purchased the game, it shuts down and I have to reload which of course is very irritating. This has never happened playing any other Big Fish game I have played. Loading issuesGood luck trying to type in a player name. This is a mandatory initial step. Weirdest thing I’ve ever seen. If I pressed the letter O, a bunch of other Os showed up. Hard to tap itemsI own many Dark Parables and love Blue Tea, so maybe it's my iPad, but I had to tap numerous times to pick up item. Love the story, Jack is exciting. Unusual to have one or two items to find in a scene at a time. Map became helpful only after I entered fifth room but the hint button is very helpfully if needed. Great game, BUTIt seemed that commercial skip coming up in the strangest times we kept interrupting the game, and it kept taking me to the options. It’s a twisty turney game which I really liked. Not For MeI love hidden object adventures, but I just cannot get into the fragmented hidden objects. A mixture would be fine, but not the whole game. So I'll pass on this and hope to see the real deal on the next release. Lacks realism and logic. Also I noticed this game was awfully short - These games aren't cheap and your not releasing enough new games Big Fish often enough and I find that a persons done in a couple of hours. Find the piecesThis is not a hidden object game. It's a "find the pieces of the objects" game. To me, that ends my interest. Too bad, because it looked interesting.
