Some improvements I hope are comingSo I have been playing this game for, who knows how long. And I have found that this game is very unique in the fact that it has an original art style for a gacha game, and the way they implemented pvp. But one thing that I find this game is lacking is a skip battle feature, where you can either have tickets or use your stamina to skip a battle, and get randomly generated rewards fitting that stage. I would find this update most useful with the beli stages where you can get more in-game money, because you burn through the beli like nobody’s business, it’s annoying sometimes. The only reason why I don’t play this game as often is because of something like this. Now it doesn’t mean that the game isn’t fun, because this game is very very fun to play and it has gotten better in terms of its player friendliness. That’s why the fact that so many other popular games, aside from this one have already implemented a skip battle feature, and this one you still have to grind and wait several minutes to clear a stage, is a little annoying and upsetting. I hope someone over at Bandai reads this, because this is one of the oldest gacha games, if not THE oldest gacha game, and we are getting some great updates, yes. 6 stars or failI’ve been playing this game since it came out and have been a true fan of One Piece. This game is a lot of fun and it is very important to have team synergy if you want to succeed. The most amount of money I’ve paid so far is 5$ or so in the beginning to get a six star unit to start off. All games that I play I am F2P (Free to Play) and put no money what so ever into mobile games and rely on luck to get me good units when I’ve waited and saved enough of the game’s gems to multi-summon/pull. This game however, if you want to go forward in the game, you need 6 star units as well as good team synergy to deal big damage and survive in events to get special units and rewards so in turn you’ll be set to never fall behind in the game. As for players who are unfortunate in pulling 6 star units (such as myself every so often), you will have a hard time getting around in the game as for 5 star units won’t really carry you. Farming gems in this game are EXTREMELY hard for beginners and veterans in this game which led me to pay just once to have a strong start. It is also important that you need units to compliment each other in order to have a good team synergy so some 5 stars that you’ll get may come in handy. There have been times even now when I don’t pull a 6 star and I wait at least a month until I do a multi-pull causing me to lose interest, but when I get a good 6 star, I become engaged once again just like when I first started. Hopefully my review has helped some players that want to start, but truthfully it is up to you if you want to play, I’m just giving you a head start on what to expect and how to get around in the game..GetLiteVersion: 8.2.1

Overpriced pay-to-win and less opportunities to enjoy the game.As mentioned on the Fb post, I’m starting to realize something after 8 pulls and no new character.. you guys are trying to make money out us to make up for the lack of money to fund the game or lack thereof direct labor, materials, overhead. I’ve spent over hundreds of dollars on the game and to find out that even 8 pulls and no new character, something is up. The sales for the rainbow gems aren’t really sales it’s a “sales” tactic to get people to buy even when the prices are high. Supply and demand is what it sounds like trying to sell it at market price? Let me guess you guys aren’t making enough revenue to reduce the prices either that or a large number of people are willing to throw hundreds of dollars to chance the characters are the target group and the people who don’t have that kind of money is taken advantage of. The thought of “we will find a way” to purchase train of thought is not going to work you guys try to supply something we want and believe we will purchase at the high price no matter what however with the prices that high and to chance 100 dollars for not even 3 summons.. I might as well make a donation 😂 even then my money compared to what’s being offered the value difference not worth it and I’m sure hundreds of others feel the same. Listen before you judge the gameI’ve been playing this game for a couple of years now. I know how it feels when you don’t pull anything good and the pulls are trash most of the time. But the pull rate is worth it..Why?? The other day I doing my daily routine on OPTC and I was able to get 5 gems. So, I do something I like to call a YOLO pull, where I just spend the 5 gems right away for a single pull. Of course, I won’t believe that I wouldn’t pull a Sugo rare...but I actually did...when I saw that I also thought that maybe it’s another copy just another Sugo character that I have...then the animation extended...and it was beating...and then...BOOM!!! I got KAIDO!!! From one single pull I got the Sugofest character KAIDO!!! Now that was pretty lucky of me, but what I have to say is...not everything is going to be perfect, not everything is going to go your way, and it is the same with the developers as well that they are working so hard to create and improving this game and giving everyone a chance at trying to pull new Sugo character as well. I stayed because: 1.). I love One Piece! 2.) I’ve gotten pulls, even if they’re not that great, that helped me finish quest and even some of the Forests, and 3.) I have the patience to save up my gems and hope for the best because of the pulls that I have been getting even if they are bad. The developers have been doing a lot of updating as well to keep making the game better and to help keep people around. So, I hope those that are still here stick around longer, and those that are gone come back one day. These new units are ridiculous. Game has salvation within it. Just needs the right push.The amount of gimmick units they keep adding is getting absurd. It is unfortunately the only thing keeping the game from being fun for people who pay less 100$ a year on this game. I know how crude the tavern drop rates are for people in the west and until legislation is drafted, don't expect companies like these to listen to your cries of how corrupt and broken the drop rates for new units are. Just saying. Back to the topic at hand, the fact the game is trying to keep up with anime has destroyed much of player base. Even whales are struggling to keep up with money being dropped. The only thing worth playing now is the the pvp because there is a bit of skill and you can keep yourself within different brackets so you're not competing with people who pay to win. Keyword bit. If you pay for the best units, your team will be unstoppable no matter which bracket you're in. People who say there aren't enough free gems are the ones who beat games everything in single player with ease and zero assistance from online guides. There is a ton of free stuff you can get for returning, vets and new players. If you're playing this as your main source of gaming. You're likely looking at 6 months to a year of content. Stop crying about content. This game is packed to the brim with single player and competitive single player content. If you're worried about money, there are tons of guides online that show you how to save and take advantage of the 8.99 monthly login bonuses. Save your gems til Xmas time and reap insane rewards in terms of the best units. Most people won't read this far but you can be great at this game if you're smart about it. Fun game that needs improvementI’ve been playing this game for going on 3 years and while I love One Piece and the game overall there are some things that need some massive improvements. The 1st being pull rates. The pull rates for the newest Sugo characters are trash. Rate boosted should actually mean something. We shouldn’t have a higher chance to pull an old, no longer useful, non-featured or rate boosted unit then one that is featured/rate-boosted. It really disincentives users from pulling. The 2nd thing that needs improvement are the gem costs. There is no reason that it should cost so much for so little return. Add that to the fact that “gem sales” aren’t actual sales (no price reduction) makes it unappealing to actually spend money on the game. Finally, the way they have handled a recent glitch within the game shows that they don’t actually care about the players because they are too worried about taking care about their bottom line. Take a not from Cygames which after player displeasure with certain actions taken have become widely accepted by many as a great developer which cares about its user base. In summary, fix the rates of pulling characters that are featured/rate-boosted, lower the price of gems/actually provide price cut gem sales, and actually prove that you care about your users otherwise this review is staying at 1 star..Crono31030Version: 9.3.1

Fun but in dire need of an overhaulTreasure cruise is fun. It's core gameplay is easy to understand, the art and animations are really cool, and it's a nice, chill game that's perfect for those who don't want a really action heavy game like bounty rush. However, this game, in it's current state, is deeply flawed. Being a gacha, you have to summon for new units. However, the rates are seriously not great. Typically, a new unit's rate is 0.25%, which is absolutely abysmal. You're typically not going to get a new unit unless you go to pity. Additionally, the game's premium currency, rainbow diamonds, are not easy to get and you are heavily encouraged to spend money. This game's UI is also incredibly confusing and quite frankly very ugly. Treasure cruise is 10 years old now and it still has the aspect ratio of a phone from 2014. There's also way too many upgrade systems and different upgrade currencies to keep track of, which can feel incredibly intimidating to new players. Although the list of bad seemed really bad, this game is fun. It's good heavily outweighs it's flaws, and if you play during a big celebration (such as the currently ongoing 10th anniversary campaign at time of writing), you can easily get tons and tons of rewards. Good gameIt has been a great game to start off with, really enjoyable when it was released. It gets worse and worse with every single update. First, they didn’t fix too many of the UI issue, when I see my box with over 1000 character, that’s just something causes headache. Therefore, the newer bosses requires way too much tactical and specific characters to clear. When I have to spend money to process in the game, I normally delete that game right away. Also, the developer quit on this game long time ago, just like how they quit on dragon ball legend. Bandai has great titles and awesome developers, they know how to make games but eventually they do not know how to manage them in order to maximize their profit while the fans still enjoy the games. That’s right, we’re fans, not just players, most of us been spending money just for the title and the characters we love. That’s probably why Bandai didn’t border to manage their game seriously. Greediest Gacha Game in the marketWhere to start? The rates for the games Rare Recruits is horrible. Bandai lies about the rates. You get crappy units that aren’t of any use after spending hard earned gems. Which mind you take months to save up for. Tons of units that are amazing don’t come back ever. Forcing you to purchase gems. They make it impossible to get good Legends and boost the good ones extremely low. Even if you spend a thousand dollars you wouldn’t even get the amazing Legend you want. That’s how bad it is. So saving gems is worthless and so is buying them. They make the content way too focused on SPECIFIC UNITS which only the new Legends are capable of clearing and are good for a month or two before a new one comes out repeating said cycle from above. They treat their player base like crap and see them as breathing piggy banks. Only wanting money, are incompetent in fixing issues, and punish their players for any errors they have made. STAY AWAY from this steaming pile of trash. Don’t give this greedy piece of crap any more money . They don’t deserve anything. Change my review I like this gameI already found out how to fix the problem so. Great Game. Horrendous Management.I don’t even know if I should call it management but that’s what I’m going with. The game itself is as fun as any gacha game, and it is fairly generous on how gems, the premium currency, is earned. The issue lies with Bandai Namco, or most likely the section of Bamco than runs OPTC, handles its fan base and communications. It treats the players like second class customers and just kinda says “Oops oh well” to it’s mistakes and isn’t transparent 100% with what is going on. Also I know it’s their game so they don't have to be generous on their banners but that’s not how you keep a player base since not everyone is going to want to spend hundreds of dollars just to pull on banners that players feel they’re being shafted on. One final note the whole “economy of the game” situation that just went down is really stupid considering the game is a PvE (You can compete with other players during special events but it’s not really PvP) game so there is zero harm in being nice with rewards other than the harm it does to Bandai’s wallet..HiItzNathanVersion: 9.4.0

Pretty awesomeIf you're a fan of one piece play this game. If not but u enjoy strategy games, give it a shot. My advice to you is the first to rare recruits u get should be good ones if u wanna progress well through the game. If not consider re downloading and starting over. The game will only continue to improve as they release new maps and characters, which will in turn make more team strategies possible. With the version 4.0 that was just released, Bandai has shown once again a genuine effort to innovate. Their efforts have paid off with an increasingly strategic game with a seemingly endless amount of customization available to the players (in regards to the teams they build). Unfortunately, despite my love of this game, I will be changing my rating to 1* until they clear up this "sugofest rate controversy" on global. Good GameIn general opinion, great anime game and One Piece game. Not much to say, except that I never get bored. There are so many things to do such as events and challenges. And I feel like the game actually gives you a chance. I never spend money and I have great strong characters. It’s just that some games you feel you have to spend actual money to feel strong in the game. In this game I just do challenges to receive the rainbow gems (whatever they are called) and it’s enough. The game also gives good rates on getting characters. So yeah, besides that the performance of the game is good to me, graphics are good. Bandai Namco!I love this game I've been playing it since it was released. Up until the Alabasta island the game is extremely enjoyable and the simple controls help this but I have one question to ask. Why the hell does all the enemies gain health pools and damage rival to the end level island boss and they all gain a special that depending on how your team is set up will destroy your health or make it to where you can't even attack for several turns letting your team to get demolished by low level tier enemies. With which you can only continue using a rainbow gem which you only get 5 when completing a island and a additional 3 throughout the course of the island too bad unless your a nigh master strategist you'll run out of these extremely fast. Now I realize money is king in corporations and businesses but you really need to stop making levels impossible to the point where you try to strong arm the payers into buying gems. Don’t waste your timeI’ve been playing since this game’s early days as a pure F2P and the game has recently become so power hungry that F2P players can hardly keep up anymore. The cycle is you get the new exclusive units and those units help you earn more points in the events that are released for those units in order to get prizes that aren’t that rewarding. Then in a week or two, they do the same thing again. But you have literally no time to save up for enough pulls. It’s a GACHA game. You are relying on luck to pull for these exclusive units. If you don’t, too bad. Another batch is coming in a week and you saved… 20 gems. One pull is 50 gems. And getting that exclusive unit could take you 15 pulls. Oh and they don’t release just one exclusive unit at a time. They release like 3 of them. So you have to have enough gems for maybe 40 pulls to get them all. Of course, you could stockpile gems and not pull. But then you would be missing out on the rewards from the events because the new units are point boosters. Been playing since 1.0Been playing since 1.0 big time One Piece fan here. I’m F2P through and through. Was able to get many legends with most spending a dime. The game is very fun and engaging, for a free game, it is definitely one of the best and I’ve enjoyed it all these time. However as soon as they rolled out the “Treasure Map” mode, I quickly lost interest. Mainly, this mode requires FARRRRRR too much time. For the entire event duration, normally 4 days. You are required to play non-stop or at least divulge 3-4 hrs of continuously play to keep up with the progress. Worst of all, in order to keep up, you HAVE to spend gems to pull characters that boost your score. These score boosting characters are different each event so you are FORCED to spend gem in order to keep up, FORCED to spend hours a day to keep up. It's crazy how big this is...I mean, for a phone game, there really is a LOT of content here. If you're a One Piece fan, it's even BETTER. The game is addicting, and it's fun to see your favorite characters grow and evolve, let alone play. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something free to kill time with. It definitely doesn't BEG for your money, like a lot of games do. The only drawback is every once in awhile, it'll have to take a long time to download new data to the game. But it's worth it! Not a bad game but they made it very hard to get rainbow gems 🤦‍♂️I love this game a lot and I have played it every day, battling kids in the ranked matches and doing the story mode. But there is one problem about the game, “The Rainbow Gems”. They made these rainbow gems so hard to collect and if yall are wondering what it is, these are gems that allow you to buy stuff like characters but you can’t really buy the characters you want. It’s like a surprise bundle that gives you whatever based on your luck. The main problem is that the game doesn’t give you enough rainbow gems to even roll for a character you want. They used to do daily updates where they would give out a whole BUNCH of rainbow gems but now they just changed it into getting characters daily which is very disappointing. OPTC reviewI’d like to thank Yoshi and the entire optc staff for making the game easier to grind in a way and improving the user interface than before. The systems of medal exchange and pvp reward island should have been added long time ago but it is what it is and we have it now and I’m grateful for that. In terms of improvements, I’d to see for challenge quests/battles, a (retry) option from the menu with the same exact friend captain that may be max limit break or not. Because the challenge quests/battles are difficult to do and it is difficult to find the required friend captain at times. Plus it is 0 stamina so the retry option is a good idea for it. Of course, the option wouldn’t work for stamina required quests/battles. Another thing is optc did not change the prices of gem sales. However, optc instead decided to give out more gems than ever before which is always awesome because treasure map and pirate rumble require many gems to grind and compete for rewards and more. Especially with all the monthly sugofests for treasure map, kizuna clash, and pirate rumble. The feature of stacking cotton candies is already in jp optc I believe so this feature should arrive to global optc eventually. Please continue to make future contents more free to play and easier to grind rather than pay to play and pay to win and harder to grind. As well as adding more opportunities to obtain set rumble scrolls and more opportunities to obtain more gems as we will need it for the future contents. Summoning characters is bad and unfairI saved up 600 gems for the new gear 5 luffy summon (took me months) and out of those 600 gems, 300 of them used on the summon on the gear 5 event. There is a 15% chance to get a sugo rare card (the rarest) and for some reason out of those 300 gems I got nothing but trash. Months of time wasted on a trash game that has a horrible pay to win vibe with awful gatcha based rolling. How is it that I had a statistically 400% chance to get a sugo rare on my last summon and I got nothing but ultra rares? Because this game will continue to give you trash characters until you spend $800+. For those of you who are F2P, DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME IT WILL ENRAGE YOU. For those of you who are P2W whales or sharks, go ahead this game is fun if you have good stuff. Balance in game.Fisrt off I love the game, been with it for some time to time since it almost released. Game is pretty fun and was added a lot of features but honestly it has become terrible unbalanced. By this i am talking about the competitive side to it besides the Kizuna clashes. TM and Kizuna requiring the newest units to advance and place in the top; while this is somewhat acceptable due to the type of game its not that big a deal even though players have little to no chance of earning the top spots or getting the rewards that would allow them to play better but also the PvP is broken. While completely fun its unbalanced as well as having a bad Rng that cost you matches and your ranking. Most of the time I used the same if not stronger team than the enemy player but suddenly the enemy activates all their specials in a row even when you have higher speed and lower cooldown. Game is great but these issues are present even in Japans version if I am not mistaken and thiuroughly ruin the experience for a lot of players. Even though it’s fun it’s definitely frustrating to be unable to play a match and rank somewhat decently if you are hindered by bad game structure. Not just another mobile gameI first downloaded this game back in highschool when it was freshly released. About a week of it being out. Thinking this game was gonna be just another mobile game of the week. Boy was I wrong. The game has always retained its grasp of a staying fresh and never boring. The game is super enjoyable butttt starting out is a bit of a pain, but when have you ever played a game when you didn’t have to build your way up. Anyway, from the fighting turn based system, to the well done and drawn character cards. I’m happy to say that this game was a happy download and has bought me years of enjoyment. Good game, but could be better ... 🔎- The one thing I love most about OPTC is the events and fun games at extra island. It’s always nice winning a character after using your own personal strategy. And getting prizes for completing the games too. However, there are things that would make great additions that are not currently in OPTC. Also, there are things that should be changed and worked on. - The most important thing I wish was better were the 10 + 1 pulls. Sometimes I just want to quit because of all the horrible pulls I get constantly. Once in a blue moon do I ever get something good. And it’s very frustrating because I’m using all these gems I’ve saved up up and for what? A total waste. It would mean a lot if the drop rates were higher and more legends were easier to access. It’s not fun having all your hard work go down the drain. - Bouncing off of that, we should be rewarded more gems. It’s not easy saving up. It would be nice to even get just 2 gems during events in the mail except 1. It would help a lot and make my playing experience much more rewarding. - My next point isn’t a complaint, just more of a suggestion. It would be nice if there were other types of game play except just fighting. I’m a huge fan of puzzle games so it would be very exciting if One Piece type puzzles were added to the game to keep things new and fresh! Fighting all the time gets repetitive... Best One Piece Game Period.Great game, I’ve been playing for 5+ years. The game is perfect for fans of One Piece. It has monthly character batches and content to beat. There are 4 main game modes (1) normal story/raids/coliseums: using a team of 6 to clear a stage with a boss at the end that could mostly be described as puzzle/strategy/tap timing. (2) treasure mode: a monthly game mode where you move through a map collecting rewards and use multiple different teams to clear mini bosses. (3) Kizuna: develop 3 teams to do as much damage as possible to a certain boss (4) pirate rumble: develop a 5-8 man team to beat other teams in a hands off, automatic, PvP RNG fight. The game has had its ups and downs. The developers can be a bit stingy and a little greedy at times. And the price of gems is usually ridiculous, but it’s overall a very enjoyable game and community that I’ve spent way too much of my life on..Skmo2345Version: 10.1.1

Bandai punishing its player base.This game is a gambling game. If you have a gambling addiction please for your sake do not play this game especially if your a One Piece fan. Currently we are having the 5th anniversary of the game which is the most hyped and generally the best event of the year. This year it is hot garbage. Recently there was a glitch that sent out unlimited items and the gem currency to veteran players. It was a mess for Bandai and they likely spent a lot of time fixing it. So in return they spent no effort in 5th anniversary and even raised the cost to pull new characters. It is very disappointing. To new players I would say stay away. Very addictive gameIt’s a fun game that needs your attention. Most other games you start a level and can walk away for a moment, and have find you’ve won - just as you’ve expected. One Piece Treasure Cruise is awesome when you need something to do. My husband and I recently visited Ireland connected by two red-eye flights - yes, 8+ hours waiting in an airport in between international and domestic security. Needless to say, it was incredibly dull. I grab my phone - knowing I wouldn’t be falling asleep in public, and before I know it it’s time we can check in for the flight! Honestly great gameIt’s rare that I write a review for a video game, so you know it’s legit. This is quite honestly one of the best video games I’ve ever played. I know that is said a lot but it’s true. I love gacha-type rpg games and this definitely fits my needs lol. One of the bestThis game is one of two mobile games that I play. It's extremely addicting and I've been playing it for at least 2 months. I have not had any trouble running the game; no crashing, lag, etc. It is incredible for a free to play game (up to a certain point). The process for getting strong characters is extremely luck-based. Some characters are given to you throughout the story, which turn out to be alright, but if you want a team (or teams) that can surpass every dungeon, Fortnight, and Raid Boss in the game, you have to go through a process called "Rare Recruit". One Rare Recruit costs 5 Rainbow Gems. (Rainbow gems are pretty common to get. You get one daily for logging in, some islands give you 10 for just beating it, etc.) Most players will argue that Rare Recruit is slightly unfair. Every once in a while, there are special events (namely, "SugoFests) that bump up the chance of getting some of the best characters in the game. However, it is a possibility that you can get the same characters that were given to you for free in the story mode, which is a waste of gems (possibly money, if you bought those gems). If SugoFest lasts 24 hours once a month, at LEAST make it where you can't get 3 star units...(characters that people want come from 4 and 5 stars.) Fortunately, I've been kind of lucky in Rare Recruit. The combat is simple, but can be very intense at some points. My only problem during combat is that you can only pick the target that you will attack first; none of the rest. You have to manually select them during your combo, which can be a lot to handle. One Piece fans rejoice!Always been a fan of the anime, and still to this day. They kept the original voice acting in this game as true to the original Japanese voice actors. Even some of the cinematics shag as true as possible by using screenshots from the anime itself, however some scenes are better watched to see the emotion displayed, because some scenes just can't be recreated by mere still image swaps. Fun Game, Spoilers for the AnimeThe basic concept of the game is to tap on a character’s banner to make them attack enemies, and when that character attacks, text will appear in a ring and move closer together. Then the player has to try tapping another character’s banner when the text moves into the middle, dealing more damage the closer the text is. It continues this chain for up to 6 times before a big red button appears in the middle, which the player has to press similarly to the explained above. Impossible to Regain your Account if you Delete the Game.I swear, the ungodly amount of information you have to save/remember in order to get this company to return your account is insane. I removed the game from my phone a couple of months ago, but got the itch to return to it. I assumed that keeping record of my old User ID, the one thing Namco actively provides you to identify yourself in their game, would be enough to get my account back… Boy, was I wrong. First off, you can’t use your old ID to regain your account through the game itself. Oh no, you have to submit a support ticket using your email on their website. Second, you don’t just need your ID to identify your old account. No, you need your account name, Pirate level, specific word-for-word names of your most recent Pirate Crew (number and all), the date and time you started playing, the date and time you stopped playing, the most recent mission you played, the word-for-word names of as many characters you owned that you can remember, etc. etc. etc. I played this game for around eight years, gained so many characters I lost count, and then stopped for a couple months because I lost interest in the meta-chasing and terrible gacha rates. The amount of information they require you to remember after months of not playing is ludicrous, especially when the User ID system exists. Why give us User IDs if they mean nothing without an encyclopedia’s worth of knowledge on what we did while we were playing the game??? I know nobody will read this entire thing, but in case you do, don’t bother ever deleting this game, you’ll never be able to regain your old account if you do..StrangerShaydeVersion: 13.1.3

We are not second class customersI have been playing this game for almost 3 years and I love it. But the low rating comes in due the fact that this game’s version, a.k.a. Global version, has been treated with less transparency then its Japanese counterpart. This lack of transparency is in much part due to the lack of laws in the US and other counties where global version is played. Namely, that the randomness of the characters acquired trough pulls with Gems that are obtained trough playing and by buying them is much less than the randomness used in the global version. It is important to know that in the Japanese version that rates for the probabilities of obtaining a character is clearly displayed in the Japanese version, but this is not the case for the global version. This, and the large data collected recently supporting the belief that the rates are tampered with has made thousand of players like me raise our voices in protest for the way Bandai/Namco os handling it’s business. I am a F2P customer, and I would never, I repeat, never spend a penny on this game. But there are other players that spend thousands of dollars, and they are being taken advantage of! DisappointedHello, I played this game roughly around when it first came out. I stopped playing because I felt the game was to hard to play through with my free to play crew. I had some good characters but it was truly unplayable for me. Now I download and they give you shanks and Beckman after the tutorial. They didn’t do that before. My crew was luffy gaimon and some grunts for the beginning levels. I used to have to grind for turtles for exp, now I have to more lobster feasts(exp) and than I know what to do with. I am gifted several gems and have pulled several sugo rares. Now I beat any level because I have a maxed out crew of sugo rares + one five star. I tested it on a level I had to use a extra gem to refill my health bar(clash lagoon) with my team back in the day. Now I beat that boss with a single attack that I missed. What’s the point in playing if ima beat every level like it’s nothing. I downloaded this game with the hope of having some challenges and feeling of success when I got pass a tough boss, or when I got lucky enough to get a sugo rare. Poor ratesIt’s impressive, really. How can the rates be so awful? Like, absurdly awful. If I’m lucky, I’ll get 1 of the banner characters after 15 multis. I am not exaggerating when I say that. Beware account recoveryI played treasure cruise for the better part of four years. I had built up a respectable box, participated in nearly every monthly event, and loved playing. After a while, I experienced burnout, so I took a break from the game. A year later I came back to find that my account had been lost due to deleting the app. On filing an inquiry to recover my account to continue playing, I submitted my private account number to begin the process. I was met with a response in the form of a hyper specific questionaire about my account, with details that were simply impossible to remember after so much time away. Questions like “name the captain of a crew on your account, along with five crewmates on the same crew, as well as the exact levels of those characters.” I have years worth of apple payment history showing I put money into this game. I had my private account number, as well as my pirate level, bounty, being able to name units I hadn’t pulled. Bandai chose to eventually ignore my messages, prompting me to submit again. They then gave me a dismissive response simply saying I hadnt given enough information. Couldn’t Get My Daughter’s Data BackMy daughter played this game for years and never missed a login day. She spent 40+ dollars in-game as well. But the iPad she had the game on crashed and we went through the grueling process of trying to get her data back. We had her account number, we had a purchase receipt, we had all the information they asked for. But I guess she got a couple things wrong, like the last mission that she did or her crew level, things she never thought she’d have to memorize. They told her they couldn’t give her data back because the information she gave didn’t match, yet they wouldn’t tell us anything else. I explained to them that she’s young and autistic, along with other medical problems, and also that she didn’t have any type of social media to back her data up because she’s too young to do so. This game was very calming for her, yet the people in charge didn’t help us out at all. I never thought they’d treat a mobile game’s data like it was someone’s social security number or bank account information. Customer service is horrificI’ve played this game for multiple years and enjoyed it even though the grind can be a lot. I’ve built an account pouring a lot of time and money into it. Even finding the form to send a request for restoration is a nightmare. I have tons of transaction recipes and answered multiple questions. Of course I don’t remember the last mission I played or even who was my third crew anyone who’s played this game a long time knows that they have a different grind mission every day and crews change frequently. I reached out on three different occasions providing proof of purchase and player ID. Sending screenshots of me using my crew. After three attempts of them saying they have inadequate information I think I’ve finally given up. For a game that literally just pours in money you’d think they could use those funds to have a decent team to make sure their customers are taken care of. Very little makes sense and the few event battles available are unfairThis game obviously wants you to spend as much money as possible so you can get the character of the week which seems to be the only way to beat certain events in this game. Very little currency is given to players outside of outright purchasing it, it takes up to a week to get 30 of the gems through normal gameplay. This is certainly not fair to the consumers, the developers of this game should be ashamed and realize that issues like this are the reason why games like Dokkan Battle do so much better financially. The game is a mess. Its straight up impossible for new players to get into the game, all of the various fratures are clustered and hard to understand to the point where you can use the ‘power up’ menu to do almost everything else in the crew menu (evolve, limit break, etc). Making new ships locked behind unlockable quests that cost 30 gems is also just unfair for the player, the scarcity of the gems makes them pretty much locked behind a paywall. Bandai is out of touch with the player baseBandai continues to not listen to the voices and concerns of the player base and continues to do things to make the game worse. Nobody liked treasure map, but they added super treasure map… They changed this recent kizuna to have the Hiyori skulls to be only in box 6 and 7 making you have to farm a lot more and having boosters is already hard enough to get/find. They continue to release new banners but have no way to get the gems to pull for these new units. Then they have new content specifically for these new units making the new unit that came out 2 weeks ago obsolete. They brought back Garp challenge, but it’s only a 1 time clear that doesn’t reset for only 2 multis, when the guarantee step is 30 multis. How are players suppose to grind gems when the game gives you nothing? The game has been stuck in a horrible loop of: new banner-> treasure map-> another new banner-> kizuna and loop. There isn’t any interesting/ engaging content anymore, they just want you to pull for these units for each individual content which is annoying. The Issues with OPTCAs previous reviewers have stated, a large issue with the global version is the idea of rare recruits. I have done many multi-pulls only to receive nothing for it. In the Japanese version of the game, you are basically guaranteed a six star in every pull, and they even send you a free six star in the mail, along with the evolver set. In the global version the only “guaranteed” way to get a six star is to buy the gem bundle. Another issue I’ve seen, with my friends and I, is the download bonus. The best place to start is how slow it is. In the past the download bonus took no time at all, but now it takes so long, even when I’m on wi-fi. Not to mention, most of the times we don’t get, or even see a chest for the gem. I personally believe that we could do with out the download bonus, or at least it could be fixed in some way. The only other issue I have with the download bonus is that it happens to me twice a day. There’s like 6 different event types in this game and EACH of them has their own characters that are good for them with little to no crossover between the characters being good for multiple event types. It is already time consuming to get gems and when you finally decide to spend them during special sugo fest events you get beginning chopper? Or Brook? Why is it even possible to get worthless characters like that in the latest rare recruits? It’s pathetic no matter what way you look at it. Then pirate rumble is just completely random. The strength of your team means nothing as it basically is a race to whichever team gets to use their specials first. Sometimes it’s you, sometimes it’s them. There’s no strategy or consistency to pirate rumble which is dumb also. Overall this game is just a bunch of repetitive randomness. And the gems you accumulate in this game only get you worthless characters that you will never use. The rare recruit rates are an absolute joke. Trash gacha (worse than your average gacha by FAR)I love one piece and that is probably the only reason I have played this game at all. I’ll list some pros cuz there aren’t many. 1. One piece 2. Art for cards is pretty nice Alright, that’s it. Not gonna list a bunch of cons cuz there are too many but I’m gonna say the biggest issues. 1. This game does NOT respect your time. The grind for events and evolving some characters is HORRIBLE. Literally some of the most tedious grinding I’ve ever suffered through of my own free will. 2. Extremely outdated user interface. Did you complete multiple missions in one go? Well buckle up cuz you’re in for pop up after pop up after pop up as the game goes through each individual mission reward. Want to clear out friend requests? Better get ready to deny/accept each one individually. 3. NOT F2P friendly. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to you. Probably one of the least F2P friendly gachas I’ve ever personally played. 4. I understand wanting there to be strategy with the gameplay, but for the love of god the amount of reading you have to do just to learn what ONE character does is awful. Literal paragraphs worth of poorly worded abilities/enemy effects that you have to learn. They're going after the community on their self-righteous high horse blaming the players for their mistake and destroyed many in game events that revolve around pulling certain characters to do well. People spend lots of money in these and they did wrong by their most loyal players. They have the negligence and audacity not to keep us in the loop while Nick (the community manager) tweets about his waifus on twitter. They poorly compensated us for the gamebreaking glitch, and then subsequently added an additional compensation which is effectively worthless. However, since I started spending real money, the rate started getting worse and worse on me.
