Flo Cycle & Period Tracker App Comments & Reviews

Flo Cycle & Period Tracker Positive Reviews

Not a fan of new formatI used to love flo. I’ve been using the app since my junior year of high school (I’m now a senior in college). I appreciate how I’ve been able to track my period through the years, as it’s been enormously helpful to my overall health, well-being, and awareness of my body. That being said, I have really struggled with the new updates that flo has undergone. Not only has the app become significantly less user-friendly, but the constant push to “go premium” has really negatively impacted my experience. I understand why they have a premium option, and I respect that it is there, but what I don’t respect is how I’m constantly being mislead in order to be trapped into signing up for a premium subscription. I find it really irresponsible that women who don’t want to pay for this app, will be given insights about their menstrual health, only to find out that they can’t have access to the information behave they don’t have an account! I used the chat feature a few times before, and it’ll leave me responding to chats for about 5 minutes, and right before they give me an answer about my health, they say I need to subscribe! It’s honestly cruel that an app meant to help women feel more secure about their health, is constantly misleading them like this, or trying to buy their desire for basic health info! Most of which can be googled, btw. I’ve really loved using flo, but am honestly considering shifting gears if things don’t change soon..Version: 6.11

Above just a period appI used this app for a couple years to track my period and symptoms every month. (Like most). And I found it very useful to see symptoms that I would get routinely every month, especially since I wasn’t always exactly on schedule. At the time I always had my period every month and from my knowledge I thought it was normal the cycle lengths I had. But after two years Flo popped up with a notification letting me know “Your symptoms match up with people who have PCOS and thought was aren’t drs. We think you should ask or bring it up to your OBGYN.” My phone died right after and when I would try to look it up later I constantly ran in to pms. Acouple years pass and I out of the blood skip my period for three months with no pregnancy but period pains with no blood. I call my obgyn and they tell me. “We think you have pcos, we are gonna do blood work to make sure but we are pretty certain” blood work came back and I was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. Which was a relief and yet scary all at the same time. But it made me think back to when the Flo app sent me that message years prior, telling me to chat with my dr. I really appreciate this app and the developers for recognizing that pcos is a thing and people can go through life not every knowing or being diagnosed. So I told my dr about how my period tracker on my phone recommended I chat with them about it. So if you had any thoughts on why this app is so useful and above the rest. This is why it meant so much to me!.Version: 8.5

Deleting the AppGave a 5 star so this will be seen. I have been using this app for well over 5 years, it used to be so great and user friendly. And I really appreciated being able to track my cycle and have insight as to what I was going through, all the way up to when I got pregnant early last year with my daughter. & then the app didn’t really have much to offer compared to other apps as far as tracking my pregnancy. I redownloaded the app once I started having periods again postpartum and every so many minutes within using the app, it prompts me to purchase the full subscription to be able to use even basic features that used to be available to everyone without purchase. In addition, when it prompts you to make a purchase, it literally forces you to agree and continue into the purchase by not allowing an exit button or anything to back out of the ad until you’re having to deny the purchase when it tries to ask for a payment method. It’s ridiculous that they are so money hungry that they now feel the need to try to force you into a purchase. It will also offer insight on your cycle but then pop up with an ad that you need to make a purchase to even see the insight. Other than being able to enter when you have your period and look back on the calendar, it is now a pointless app, I can literally use the calendar on my phone to do the same thing..Version: 9.61.0

It’s helped me so muchI love this app. I’ve had it ever since I’ve started my period, and it’s amazing. It’s accurate and even tho sometimes I’m a little late or early I don’t mind it because it gives me a general time and I’m not guessing like my other peers. I also could be getting more accurate if I logged in my symptoms everyday, something that IVE SEEN make it extremely accurate. Flo gives you articles after you’ve logged symptoms as well to try and help you, something I adore. These articles have been great to explore and for me to see what’s going on with my body. Flo’s community is amazing too!! All the girls are extremely respectful and helpful and is only trying to make another person feel more comfortable. They have a community part where you can anonymously chat with other girls, and you get notifications on the app when someone replies, something that’s an added feature, and I love it. Something else, that’s an amazing part of Flo, is that they have a lock on the app too, if you choose. A lot of friends like to go on my phone, and I would rather not let them see my period tracker. Flo sends reminders when your period is on your way too! And if you have a certain goal like getting pregnant, Flo with gladly help. (Something I haven’t explored quite yet based on my age.) There are indeed small cons, like some of the articles you have to get Flo Premium, and all the courses, you just pay, but those are only optional things, and I’m just fine without them. So, if you’re wondering, get Flo!.Version: 4.40

Love Like Jesus Does.Jesus loves you guys, thank you so much for helping me with my period. 🩸💕 God loves you so much and He saved me. I actually used to blame God for my period, but now I thankfully know that it’s not because of Him and anything that’s bad isn’t from Jesus, who is God. Anything good or important that comes from periods is because of Jesus, for He is the source of everything good. Even though it’s our faults that we allowed sin into the world, which allowed bad things and evil into the world too. Jesus still allows good things to come our way from those bad things, and He does with periods too. I wish I could give all you ladies like a years worth of the best pads and heating pads for cramps for your period, but just know that it’s gonna be okay and you’re all strong and admiral for what your body does to prepare for you future baby. I’m pretty sure there was a woman in the Bible who was bleeding for 12 years, and since she put her faith in Jesus and that even just touching His robe would heal her, He did. And she was blessed just everyone else is. I know that we can be annoyed or even jealous that guys don’t have to go through this, but if you think about it. That just means that we’re stronger in another way and our bodies do something incredible. I’m not trying to downplay the pain, I just wanna let you guys see the good from periods and how those good things are from the Lord Jesus Christ. God bless you! ✝️🙏🏼📖.Version: 9.64.0

Love this appThis is my first time actually using a ‘tracking app’ and it was so easy for me as usually it’s just “too much” and I end up deleting it. I’ve been able to track my periods for a year now & have discovered not only do I have an extremely irregular period, (lasting 45+ days between cycles) which brought me into my OB-GYN, which helped me get to the root of the issue which I never even knew about because I never tracked my periods prior. It’s great, it tracks not only your flow; how heavy, but your MOODS & SYMPTOMS. Example: sad, mood swings, self-critical..etc. And than symptoms as ‘cramping, bloating, fatigue, backache, acne, etc..’ ~ I love that I can cross reference which moods I experience the most & it’s helped me so much. I do not LOVE the “pay more to get better health care” part, as this app would be perfect if they didn’t ask you to pay to track your own period.. that’s where the 4 stars came in. Other than that, I love this app. It’s great for even a daughter who just got her period & to teach her to keep track and log moods.. I WISH I had this as a teen! It’s great. Highly recommended, I just wish they didn’t ask you to pay for the “premium” content which I think we should all have access to since you can probably Google most of it, and so many of us love the app.. I’m sure if you took that out, people would probably be more willing to pay a smaller fee of something just because you removed the really expensive one that none of us can afford, hence why we bought the free version 🤷‍♀️ but I still love the app!!!!!.Version: 9.6.1

Good, but bugsI really like this app! It helped me track my cycles and ovulation when I was trying to get pregnant, and then was super easy to swap over when I was finally pregnant! And the pregnancy side of things have been so good!!! I love opening it every day to find my new tips and advice for the day. It also helps me track my water, which I love. But, the new updates it has gone through have been sort of weird. It always prompts me to input my weight to track it, but that feature is gone! There is nowhere for me to input my weight anymore. Also, the chat feature is gone! I liked the “chat” at the beginning of every week even though you can only respond with pre written responses, it was very informative and useful. One week of pregnancy was incorrect (said I was week 8 even though I moved on to week 9) and it didn’t work because it knew something was wrong, and now I haven’t seen it since. Lastly, I loved all the of “stories” that it gave me during first trimester. A week to talk about exercise, a week for nutrition, a week for working while pregnant, etc. but as soon as second trimester hit, there’s nothing! I really looked forward to reading it everyday, but now there’s just a lack of information. I begin to wonder what I’m getting by paying “premium” because it sort of stopped all of the major things it was helping me with. But I loved it, so I’m mostly writing this review to let the creators know what they need to fix and bring back!!.Version: 9.26.0

Download itThis app is seriously awesome. I was just looking for a basic tracker as I transitioned off my birth control and it’s turned out to be so much more. Not only does it let me track almost everything I need to, but I’ve actually learned so much. I can’t believe that at age 28 with a masters degree, there was still so much I didn’t know about how my own body worked. Between the health insights and secret chats it’s been pretty enlightening. This is a great space for talking about things that typically aren’t discussed in our society. I hadn’t planned on upgrading but took advantage of a great sale they were running around New Years and it’s been totally worth it. I highly recommend. Update: been using this for over a year now and still like it though I don’t use all the features as much as I did. My main criticism is that the monthly “Flo assistant” is super annoying and not really helpful. First of all I really dislike the “texting/ chat” format. I’m sure this is good for teens but I would rather the info just be displayed to me as a list, graph, etc. Its also very repetitive and generally not helpful (“you tend to log happy on weekends!”). I’d much rather know how many days in a row before my period I log a certain symptom, but it doesn’t tell you that, and if you want to use it at all you have to sit though the whole annoying “chat.” Finally, it would be great it we could create our own symptoms to log. I know there are certain things I experience on a monthly basis but there’s no way for me to track them..Version: 5.8.2

Pressure to purchaseUpdate/edit: To the Development team: PLEASE READ ALL OF THE RECENT REVIEWS. Your users don't need to be told "the premium subscription pays for us to develop the app"...like we don't know how that works ??? We do. It seems the consensus is that EVERYONE would 100% rather see ads instead of being harassed to buy stupid premium. Guess what ? YOU STILL MAKE MONEY USING ADS. Stop making excuses for your greed, it's so insulting to your loyal users. Also, just stop with your copy&paste response to every single one of these reviews saying the same thing. It's just so rude and makes you look horribly uncaring and greedy. Original review: I would give five stars as I have been using this app for over five years now and it's extremely accurate and easy to use. but, I am getting very annoyed at how every time I open the app now before I can even look at anything it pops up pressuring me to buy the app to get all the features (using the cover of celebrating how many years I've used it; I do not care). I do not have the money for this and wish I could use the app's basic features without being bothered and feeling pressured to buy something I cannot afford right now. When I open the app and it does this, I unfortunately just force quit it and forget it. I know they want to keep the app ad-free, but honestly I'd much rather see ads at the bottom of the page that I can ignore while using the app freely and unbothered. Maybe consider giving users an option to opt into ads because they really don't give me an issue..Version: 9.23.0

FLOW!Well hello there, if you are reading this then I welcome you!( I may have rated this five stars, however it is anything but. This is the most money seeking app I have ever used, EVER. Not only are they turning womens health into a buy to win scheme, they are literally selling your data to meta at the same time! The worst part of this all is Flo was suggested to so many young girls by their doctors to help them track their periods so they could start looking for signs of abnormalities if their cycle. And yet you have to pay to even know if your period is bad. Are we serious? And they are selling that same data to meta for “advertising”? You are money hungry and in all honesty not even made for women. Isn’t it ironic how an app made for women was founded by men? Yea and they still try to push their “large women team!” YAY!!! Sorry but I’m not going to trust an app that is sharing peoples highly sensitive health data, like period details, sexual activity, and location! ESPECIALLY with third-party companies like Google and Meta! AND without explicit consent, despite promising privacy? No thank you! For all the people who have read this far and wondering what else to use please try to use a notebook and track it yourself if you are worried about more your data being used in stuff you never consented to, OR if you really enjoy using an app as it’s better and more helpful for you download Stardust!.Version: 9.94.0

The #1 complaint you’ve hadIt really is sad that the premium feature is even necessary for this type of thing. I feel the best way to make money would be by maybe adding ads, or maybe people could buy a premium where it just customizes everything. One feature I feel should not be paid for, is the thing where you can talk to a professional about your health issues, or trying to find a specific article to read for a major problem you’ve been having, and to see how everyone else has dealt with it. As a woman and tons of other woman who use flo, feel like crap about this. Flo wasn’t just about tracking, it was about relating with all the anonymous people about basic woman problems that are to uncomfortable to talk about in real life. It really saddens me you have done this, especially when the “AI message” or whatever, says something along the lines of “your period is off” or “there could be medical problems, and then let that “AI” continue the conversation, and then wait until the end to tell you to buy premium. I just feel you have many ways around “keeping the basics free”, at least give some things back to us and make more things for people to buy, that are unrelated to something that should automatically be on your app to help women. I know it’s been two years of people saying this on the reviews so this probably won’t reach far, I’m just hoping in some way it’ll be better😕.Version: 9.37.0

Great Tracking ToolI’ve used Flo for years and have loved it! It’s always helped me with tracking, and with their updates over time I’ve come to understand my cycle and symptoms better. I occasionally appreciate the different articles etc about symptoms and ovulation and have learned quite a bit. However, this most recent update I’m not a fan of. When going to log symptoms, it’s visually messy. It’s visually overwhelming and everything is smaller. Also, they took away product logging! This is incredibly frustrating as this is how I base how heavy my flow is. I’m able to go back and see, historically, how light or heavy I think my current flow is based on this point in previous cycles etc. And now there’s just an option for clots instead of size of clots. I like this but also dislike. Before, you only got the clot option with pads logged, and then it would ask the size. Now, you can log clots without pads, but no size option. I do like that there appears to be more options so symptoms, which I’ve always wished for, but it’s just a very busy screen now. Overall, I’ll continue to use the app because there’s no better one by far. I pay I believe $50 or $60 annually for the premium and will continue to. This app is doing great things for women and providing incredible education at fractions of the price you would pay professionally, and is FAR more reliable and reputable than simply Googling something. I just hope they make some more tweaks and bring back product logging!.Version: 9.26.0

ImprovementsI have an IUD and sometimes skip bleeding. I still get all the other things like I’m a little more emotional and boobs hurt, etc. but I just don’t bleed so I can’t really log a “period”. I wish we could add “missed period, negative pregnancy” since whenever I don’t log a period the app assumes I’m pregnant and keeps sending me articles about why my period may be “late” and won’t show me my ovulation days and future period days until a log a period. So even if I don’t have one I still have to log a fake one so the app continues letting me track things. Also, I wish there was an option for logging hives or other allergic reactions. The last 4 months everytime I’m on my period, the first 2-3 days I get super bad hives. After looking into it, it seems it could be linked to hormone allergy, potentially because with my hormonal IUD there is too much hormones in my body while on my period. I’m going to my OB/GYN to discuss this later this month but I wish we could log symptoms like that to see if it lines up with our cycle to open that conversation with our doctors. It took me 4 months of misery before I connected the dots and realized it was always during my period. Finally, speaking of the IUD I also wish it allowed us to log IUD as our birth control since it’s not a daily birth control. So if we take it out and our cycle changes as a result, the app can see that it’s potentially a result of the IUD removal and can help us understand our new cycle patterns once the IUD is removed, if that makes sense. Overall though I love this app and have used it for 2 years now and it’s been great..Version: 9.64.0

Great— must haveI started using this around age 25-26 and am now in my early 30s. The best thing we can do is track our cycles and symptoms, identify trends as there are so many similar traits and unexpected conditions that may arise. This has been helpful as a tool between myself and my OBGYN. I began having irregular periods or being late around age 29, which could have been stress and likely was stress. It persisted intermittently and I learned at age 30 I had developed a uterine polyp. When my OBGYN and PCM(primary care provider/manager) asked about my cycles I could reference the app. To emphasize the significance of tracking you cycles,I had all normal paps, and was on time for my paps, in fact I got them more often since I had been using the IUD in my early 20s. The only irregularities were my heavier periods, spotting, and irregular cycles and of course the pain from the uterine polyp. It was located inside my uterus and only truly visible with a pelvic ultrasound. Observing how my cycles changed and taking notes of it myself on the app also reiterated what I was experiencing to me, forcing me to be more alert and aware of changes in my cycle. The app also shared informative articles for me to be cognizant of and to bring up with my provider. I think it is a great tool and plan to continue using it long-term . Thank you Flo!! This app has been a fundamental component to my health journey..Version: 9.75.1

Best menstruation app on the marketI’ve tried about five different cycle tracking apps, but Flo was by far the best. From tracking daily emotion to exercise type, sex drive to period symptoms, and even letting you factor in stress and illness, this app covers almost every cycle note you’d want to make. The updated predictions are highly useful for people with irregular cycles like me; it not only lines up symptoms from day 1 forward but also from the end of your last cycle backward, so you learn what symptoms and feelings correlate with each part of your cycle: your period, the first week after, ovulation, and the week leading up to your next flow. The insight sections are also helpful; I like the small blurbs of health advice personalized to your daily input. Its account-stored data is super helpful should something happen to your phone/device, since all you need to do is download the app on a different device and log back in to access all of your previous input. However, I wish there was an option to add customized tracking buttons; while the app covers a large range of common symptoms, I liked differentiating between migraines and sinus headaches or the common cold versus fever or allergies. Especially allergies; I’ve always wondered if mine get more severe based on where I am in my cycle. The app probably shouldn’t allow family sharing, either; if it passcode-locks, it means the information is probably private. This doesn’t impede my rating, though, because I love the app even without these features; these would just force me to break the system and give it six stars..Version: 4.10.4

Good app, but needs some additionsI used to use this app before I had my baby, and eventually switched over to a free one. I used this app during my pregnancy. I think the pregnancy version could use some more variety in symptoms, but was otherwise good. My main complaint is when I had my baby, the app had no information or changes for the postpartum period. It didn’t take into consideration that I’m breastfeeding or anything. I’d like to see an app that not only considers how your cycle changes during breastfeeding, but also pushes out more articles and short reads that can help a new or experienced mom with a young baby. My last complaint is the normal cycle tracking is also lacking in symptoms etc. Why can’t I put in that I’m having a heavy cycle AND clots? Why can’t I put in that my skin is more oily, but I’m not having acne? There is a notes portion, but I think these things deserve their own button too. And in the exercise portion, your options are very limited. I personally train Brazilian jiu jitsu and none of the exercise categories fit into that kind of thing. It’s otherwise a good app, and helps a lot with informing you about your reproductive health and whatnot. They also gave me an awesome deal for a year long membership, so I’m not complaining. Just a couple things that I think could really make this app stand out from the rest- mostly just adding more symptoms..Version: 9.45.1

Phenomenal/Effective/Accurate/OutstandingThis app has changed my world. It is always spot on with my predicted period and ovulation dates. It gives you handy notifications that alert you to hormone changes within the cycle and what to expect. The insights and knowledge I have gained from this app is more than I’ve learned throughout my young life. You can track PMS symptoms, sexual activity, weight and mood changes, water intake (can also set handy reminders to drink more water!). I have yet to use, but the app can also be used as a pregnancy & ovulation tracker and takes on a different format when pregnant or trying to conceive! I love that this app is completely free to use and that all the necessary features and insights are also FREE. Theres no need for the paid version and I hope they keep it that way. Overall, its the most useful app I have on my phone. It completely changes the game in *convenient* women’s reproductive knowledge/health. Never go on vacation unprepared again!! ✨ One suggestion for improvement ✨ I occasionally forget to mark my period on its start date and sometimes end up guessing when i go back to the app to log it. If the app knows your period is “late” (from not logging its start), it should send a notification asking “is your period late, or have you just forgot to log?”. It would be great to get a notification on day 1 and 2 of your period being “late” and also a screen that prompted the question when you open the app. That way, the app doesn't automatically mark your period as being late, and I remember to log the correct start date. That added feature/notification would absolutely knock this app out of the park!.Version: 6.11

Love the app, dislike the subscription service it’s becomeI’ve had this app for a long time, before subscription was added to it. Though I still very much use and love the app, I feel like it’s slowly becoming a more money centered user experience. Some areas, that used to be free and accessible to users, like articles, have moved to premium and though I understand premium subscription is needed to support a more advanced technology and understanding of ones cycle, there should at least be have a few articles on there free to users, that way they can at least gather some understanding of their health, those articles were helpful for me as a user and seeing it not be there anymore is disappointing. Chats are helpful but they aren’t truth based and can mislead users into thinking this is correct information. There should be a balance on cost effectiveness while also not driving the users away from the app, by forcing a subscription, this makes the app extremely limiting to use for the user and isolates them from a lot of needed information. Yes tracking cycle is useful, adding symptoms is useful but there’s nothing to it now, not like before. I think Flo can at least provide a couple articles a day for free users and still offer subscription to those that want advanced features. It doesn’t all have to be premium, not everyone can afford a subscription, especially younger users who are just starting. There should be a way where both parties win without forcing everyone into the subscription route..Version: 5.6

Really love*Updated review* So I didn’t know I already wrote a review for Flo, but I just wanted to come back and say that I really do love this app. I’ve been using it for a few years now (I think since either 2018 or 2019) and it’s only gotten better over the years. Before I downloaded this app, I used to track my period in my notes app. That got confusing and too hard so I literally just typed “period tracker” into my App Store and Flo came up! I downloaded it just so I could use an actual tracker instead of my notes app and honestly, I’m very glad I got this one. I love how the updates actually benefit me instead of them just being to fix bugs and stuff like that. For example, an update a little bit ago was that they start sending daily “forecasts” about what to expect that day and what you might experience and it’s really cool bc sometimes they actually happen and I’m not left confused or worried! I heard how these kinds of apps are used to steal your info and stuff like that but I’ve never had that happen to me (I don’t have any personal info except for my email and any info I input about my cycle but nothing I’m scared to get leaked). I know people don’t really read these reviews but I know they help the company. If you want something simple to just track your cycle, I truly recommend using Flo. It’s super simple and easy to use. I also recommend if you are a mother and have a daughter or if you are younger and are just starting your period, this is a perfect app to use to start tracking. It’s a very great tracker to use, it’s super simple and I love how easy it is to log everything in. Plus I love how you can go months in advance and get an idea of what your cycle will look like..Version: 9.0

Love this period tracking app - could be improved thoughI’ve been using this app since Aug/Sept of 2023. I like it for the most part but I think there are some opportunities for improvement. First, I am using this app for period tracking only, I am not trying to conceive. I informed the app of this when I signed up and I assumed it would then tailor my content based on this information, but quickly realized it doesn’t and is heavily focused on users that are actively trying to conceive. I indicated that I have PCOS (which is why I need to track my period) and again, assumed it would customize my content based on this information. After completing my assessment, it indicated that I might have PCOS… I know. I told you that when I signed up? I do not recommend this app for the infertility community as I can see it triggering a lot of folks that can’t conceive naturally. Although the pregnancy notifications don’t necessarily trigger me, they annoy me because I am simply using and paying for the app to track my period. I wish the list of symptom trackers were more expansive (re: how are you feeling?). The assistant and educational content has been SO helpful. Lots of great things about this app but I wish it was more customizable to me, my goals and that I could turn off the constant pregnancy tracking content and indicators. Great start, but plenty of opportunities for improvement..Version: 9.66.1

This app is better than cosmopolitan! It’s all about women, it’s like a giant FB but for women.. relationships, tracking your body’s health, support for females in any aspect of their life they may not even know they need yet.. I wouldn’t normally pay for an app like this but once I got into it, there is so much more to it.. it talks about everything from pregnancies, coping with loss of your baby still born, how to rebuild & strengthen ur relationship with your partner. Dr.’s advice on how to fix past hurts, habits & hang ups with your partner to move forward in a healthy manner & truly let go of the past. & Sooo much more than I thought it was going to be in just an app. It’s more of a giant woman support system for anything personal that only other females can relate with you, no matter what the topic may be. I definitely recommend it especially if you don’t have any or little support system in life.. Cheers! If you’ve read this review to the end, than it’s clear that there is something in this app for you. Thank you to those who created such an amazing job on this app. I recently found out I was pregnant while on birth/Control & definitely helped reading other people that could relate to me as it’s obviously a huge shock for both my kids, hubby & myself.. my kids are both 10 + so I’ve totally forgotten about “all the things that I should except while expecting “ & how to make my husband understand it’s not me that’s acting crazy it’s the hormones.. they have advice for that in there as well! Advice on cheating or being cheated on.. to so much more. It’s worth the fee. Thank you again for a great way for women to support each other together from around the world...Version: 6.13

I used to love this app way moreI got this app when I was a freshman in high school as they do not teach much about female cycles or anatomy. When I first got it, I found tons of useful information on the app and it was all free and amazing. I learned the different parts of the cycle and it helped me manage my symptoms better as well as understanding what’s going on with my body. While I understand that programs like these need funding in order to run, I find there is no need to bait people into paying for a subscription. Like the chat feature. It pops up prompting you to interact for a bit and making you think it’s going to tell you some useful information but then it tries to make you pay before you can access it. There shouldn’t be as much push for people to pay. It’s irritating especially for people who can’t afford more payments like myself. I would much rather there be a pop up when you open the app asking if you want to pay for premium rather than being tricked into thinking I’m going to be getting something useful for free. Also I am a strong believer that all the info on this app should be taught to girls in school or be free public access but google is not a reliable source and this app has loads to offer but for a price. It’s already bad enough that women don’t get taught anything about their own bodies and it’s a “luxury” to access this information..Version: 8.7.1

Love it!This app is super useful for tracking periods, and has given me mostly accurate predictions so far! it’s been off by a day or two a couple times when i first started using it because it wasn’t adjusted to my cycle yet, but since then i haven’t had any issues. i love the insights where it gives info about my period and the different changes that come along with a period, and i especially love that you can comment anonymously on posts and get help from and give help to the community. by far, my favorite thing about the Flo app is that you can have it give you reminders to drink water, take meds, and weigh yourself if that is something that you’re concerned about! the reminders are super helpful for me as my meds are for adhd, so i need a reminder so i actually remember to take them lol! the only thing that i would adjust is that my water bottle has metric markings, but i live in america, so i have to convert the metric to ounces to track my water because the only way to use metric for water is to switch the entire app over to metric. this isn’t a huge deal because google is a pretty good converter but it’s just something that i’ve noticed. overall, this is a great app and i’ve recommended it to friends and family, and now i’m recommending it to you!.Version: 4.9.0

It’s nice but...So I used this app for my period And it was great up until my period change and I came on a week early which was perfect for my weekend away because we were planning to get pregnant and my ovulation date was set for a specific day. Well I was on my period a day or two longer so I figured it would probably change my ovulation date. Well my trip was set to be at least about 2 to 3 weeks away and I kept checking the app to make sure and to see if my ovulation date was going to change well it didn’t change it stay the same and make sure that I refresh my app just in case and it stayed the same. Now the day I get to my destinations for my trip is my ovulation day that was on the app that’s what we were depending on. Three days later I go on the app to mark the fact that we made love and the ovulation date changed to the day before I arrived on my trip. Immediately I was upset because it seems as though we may have missed the ovulation day due to the fact that the app didn’t update until after my ovulation date that was set originally. So I deleted the app because of that. It’s very upsetting when you’re trying to get pregnant and your ovulation date just seems to change along with your fertile days changes I just think that that is something that they need to look into I no longer want to use this app..Version: 4.23

Use the Health App insteadIf you don’t want to pay for extremely helpful tips that should be accessible to everyone, then don’t even bother with this app. It always reals you in with “oh you have this symptom?” Or “You want to learn more of this common health problem for women?” and then it tells you “you can find out more if you give us money!” all of this is again under the guise of “we have experts now” like how does that justifying keeping vital information from what could be teens who can’t pay these subscriptions!? Give us adds, give us half of the info even, but don’t say “we can help, for a price” because it’s very distasteful. The reason why I say to use the Health App instead, it’s no different from the free version of Flo, yet the Health App does “recommend” Flo for some reason. If everyone was willing to pay then they wouldn’t be searching for free apps, and like I said it’s a bit unreasonable to think everyone will be willing and able to pay for important health information. It tracks your period, has almost all the same symptoms listed, flow choices too, and the free Flo version is almost a carbon copy of the Health app. Only the health app doesn’t have those “discussion” which don’t add much anyways, just a bunch of inexperienced women hoping to get something off these discussions that the Flo keeps keeping from them with a paywall, and it’s more sad than helpful. If you still want to use the Flo app, then do so, it looks nicer than the Health App, and these discussions could give you helpful info despite the paywall..Version: 6.2

I have important suggestions.I am a nonbinary person who gets periods. so of course i wanted to get a period tracker app, right? it looks useful and the secret chats are cool! unfortunately, the developers/curators/people in charge of the content don't seem to care or know about a good chunk of their consumers: transgender people. i have met so many trans guys on this app, who feel dysphoria and excluded because everything on the app is so heavily feminine-centric and aimed towards girls, only making people like me feel worse that we get periods. don't get me wrong i'm all for girls meeting other girls and talking about girls stuff, but you have to realize NOT EVERYBODY WHO USES THIS APP IS A GIRL. of course not everybody on the app loves the idea that there are boys and nonbinary people using the app, in fact i have met quite a few transphobic ladies myself. however, if they don't like a portion of the app they don't need to use it. what i'm asking you to do is be more inclusive and just remember that periods are not inherently feminine, or at least that it makes quite a few of us flo users feel really bad when periods are portrayed as strictly feminine. maybe add some secret chats for trans* guys and nonbinary* people, or don't use phrases like "girls like you". i'm begging you, please do your part as a period app to end not only the stigma around periods, but also the femininity. please include very real, very valid people who have the same struggles as a girl, they just aren't one..Version: 4.62

It’s gotten on my nervesI got Flo about a year ago and I loved it. I had been tracking my periods on a calendar before and let’s just say that wasn’t the most convenient method. Flo was great for the first few months, I didn’t really mind them trying to get me to buy premium cause I understand that’s how they keep the app going and the free version was working fine for me. But eventually it got to the point where it felt like I was being tricked into buying premium, I would use the chat thing just to see what it had to say and about 5 minutes in it would tell me that in order for me to see what it’s opinion was, I had to purchase premium. I would much rather them come out and say it instead of wasting my time. Another problem that has been occurring recently is the “daily forecasts.” It’s a once a day notification that tells you something like “you might notice cramps today. What else to expect? Tap to see👉.” But guess what? When you tap on it it take you to this survey where it asks you to select which symptoms you have at the moment, then you click to go to the next page and bam. It’s saying you have to pay for premium. I am sick of the daily notifications, 1) they’re never ever accurate, 2) it’s like they’re just copy and pasting random period symptoms and feelings into the blank and sending it out. All I want is to be notified when my period is coming. That’s literally it. If someone picks the free option, maybe the developer should stop trying to trick us into buying premium, from reading other reviews I’m not the only one with a problem with it. Sure put an ad for it up when you first open the app, but stop trying to trick us..Version: 9.15.1

Rare: Excellent App AND Customer ServiceI love Flo, the premium features are worth the price, it has so much useful content I’ve never used a tracker app like it! To all the people who are complaining about it being pay to access simply need to go download any one of the dime a dozen, free, simplistic period/pregnancy trackers since that’s what they actually want. Flo is so much more. The extra course in awakening/taking control of your desire (or a name something along those lines) was incredibly helpful and insightful, especially for someone not knowing where to start. The little q&a message boards, articles, live sessions, etc were also great for more inexperienced ladies to get solid info plus dispel some myths about women’s sexuality and body insecurities which I would have loved to have as younger person. That’s not even mentioning the insanely insightful tracker part itself! Then, to top it off, the customer service is excellent which is so unusual to have one or the other let alone both. I had a misunderstanding about the subs/billing and they cleared it up with absolutely no problem at all. The creators of Flo are brilliant and genuinely doing a service for us ladies interested in more than finding out when our period starts,.Version: 9.57.0

Definitely the best period app. After I got my first period I used the same app for years to track it. It never predicted my period right. For the longest time I just figured I was super irregular as many girls are when they start there period, but eventually I realized It said I was consistently late by approximately the same number of days every cycle. I just dealt with it for awhile. When I finally decided to check for a better period tracking app I found Flo. This app is SO MUCH BETTER!! It usually predicts my period pretty accurately, sometimes spot on. When my cycle shifts it always makes adjustments and often becomes more accurate. I also love that it doesn’t mark your period late until A certain number of days after your cycle was supposed to start (I think 5, which is the “official” number of days that make a period considered late. It doesn’t just mark it late when your period doesn’t start the day it was predicted to. I was especially impressed when I missed a period after my wisdom tooth surgery and when I logged my next period the predictions continued to be accurate immediately after. It seems like the developers did a great job on the actual software as well as put lots of thought, research, and expertise into it. It’s a great app!!.Version: 4.59

Only some features are useful, predictions poor qualityFlo is a decent way for me to track basal temperature and symptoms throughout my cycle, but I’ve found its cycle predictions to be inaccurate. I appreciate that it collects and graphs patterns of my body in a way I can see over time. However, the app consistently thinks my fertile days are at the end of my cycle, and predicts my period many days before it should start. I’ve logged 5 months of data, including period start dates and ovulation time, but this has not yet affected the predictions. Luckily I’m 33 and have had a consistent 27-29 day cycle for years (and three pregnancies), so I know these predictions are inaccurate and can make my own calculations. It is frustrating though to have to look at the calendar Flo provides and know that it’s all wrong, and have to do the math in my head every time. Isn’t that what the app is supposed to do, at the most basic level? It is also frustrating to be fed articles about why my period is “late,” when it isn’t late at all. It’s unnerving, even though I know better. The somewhat condescending tone of the articles in the app, along with the poor timing of their appearance, is the most bothersome part of the user interface. It would be helpful if there was a way to override the algorithm to make your own cycle calendar if needed..Version: 9.47

Currently On a Free TrialI’ve had Flo in the past and loved it. I didn’t have a phone for a year so I just recently got the app again and noticed a lot of changes, including that some features are only available through a payment. The payment is only around 14$ for the entire year. I don’t think that’s so bad but if it’s out of budget I understand. The features on the free trial are pretty awesome so far, it’s like having access to a gynecologist because the information you give about your period has so much feedback. It’s really surprising what the app tracks and the amount of feedback you get about symptoms, tips / tools, workout ideas, food recommendations, yoga, meditation, and self- assurance. I wanted to take the time to write a review because I was really hesitant to redownload the app with the reviews talking about payments but I’m glad I did and it appreciating the free trial so far. If you’re unsure try the 1 month free trial and see how you like it. Bonus for the awesome private community conversations that are available to everyone, so that you’re able to anonymously speak with other women/ girls on the app and freely ask questions or help respond to others. It’s just really awesome. I appreciate the app.Version: 5.1

Mostly good & helpful, but too much monetizationI love this app for tracking my period. As many other people said and I agree, the app is pretty accurate when predicting period start dates, ovulation dates, etc. It has been super helpful for me to track my period on this app because I can recognize consistent and non consistent patterns in my period. Whenever there are changes with my period, the app calculates that in and new predictions are still just as accurate. However, the only problem with this app is the constant push for the “premium subscription.” I get that many apps have that and it’s a part of making money, and I have no problem with the features that are specifically for premium members only. I personally am fine with just the core period tracking aspect of the app and that’s it. But everyday it offers the premium subscription when I open the app which can be annoying. I also hate getting a notification on my phone telling me “you may have tender breasts today, see why.” Especially since I’ve never had that symptom. But they push that notification to push an article that is for premium subscribers only. Other than the annoying monetization techniques they use, the app is really good and it has been super helpful to me..Version: 8.3

Amazing but needs a touch.Don't get me wrong, Flo is amazing and you'll never use another app after you download this but it could use a few touches. The one idea I have isn't really important but if you want to have more fun with the app you should also have the choice of using your own photo for a background picture. Doing this would make it a little more fun along with being able to choose the color of the circles or bubbles. Also, it would be cool if people could make their own articles for everyone to read but make a separate column you can click on, incase viewers don't want to read other people's. And lastly, the articles usually talk about tampons. Not everyone wears them including me. It would be great if you could tell everyone how they work and if it hurts. I personally am really sensitive about "down there" and it would be great to know what it's like. Or even talk more about pads. Right now I read things I can on the internet and see how to insert them and everything. But I rly think sticking something up there is really nasty. Again just my opinion. But overall this game is really good. If it was just a little more fun and fit for everyone I would be giving it 5 stars. But hopefully something I said can come true. To Whom Ever It Regards, - Unknown☺️.Version: 3.6.0

Belle application mais..La Fonction graphique n’est pas suffisante.. il n’y a rien pour visualiser sa température, etc..Version: 4.10.4

Pretty goodIt’s a great app, it lets you track your feelings, your weight, symptoms etc. Also, it’s quite accurate and it lets you log any day as your period if it does come unexpectedly. The only problem I have is when you add your age, you must be 13 or older to log your period. And it irritates me as I’m 11 and many girls my age and even younger get their period at such a young age. Anyways, overall this app is great for tracking your periods and cycle. Goodbye now..Version: 4.9.0

Not trans inclusiveNeeds to be people with periods not women as nonbinary people and trans men also have periods and can elect to get pregnant.Version: 6.3

Was super good until the premium happenedI feel like its the best app but the premium thing is so annoying specially when you’re in the middle of reading something and then you cant continue cuz you have to pay for premium to continue it..Version: 5.5.1

Tampon trackerWould be nice to have the option to put in the time of your last tampon change so people like me who often forget can have that.Version: 9.0

Gender neutral optionsThis app is amazing and helped me a lot with my period and stuff, but sometimes the way it addresses me bothers me. I’m non-binary and i would prefer if the app used my preferred pronouns they/them. it just makes me uncomfortable when people call me a girl or she. there’s also a lot of trans men on the app that are trying to track their periods but are being called girls too. i would like it if there was a setting so we can choose our gender or pronouns that we want the app to use..Version: 6.3

HelpfulExcellent.Version: 3.6.0

10/10 but chat bot is annoyingI absolutely love Flo. I’ve been using it for years! It’s easy to navigate and log anything I need. My ONLY complaint is the chat pop ups when I first open the app. The bot can be very useful to chat with sometimes, but I wish I could open it on my own terms or have it pop up in a little bubble in a corner that I could choose to open or just go right to logging whatever I want to log. Otherwise it’s a great app! I’ve used both the free and paid versions and both are absolutely wonderful!.Version: 9.94.0

It’s okay but annoyingWay too many pop ups and constant badgering with articles and prompts. Constantly need to clear notifications within the app because every input I make prompts a bunch of pop up boxes and “info” and “chats”. It’s incredibly annoying. I’d like to be able to use the actual tracking app separately from all the other features so that people who don’t want to be constantly attacked with info about why cramps exist every time they make an input can use it the way they want to. The tracking itself is great and really helpful but even then, it keeps saying it’s trying to find patterns with my symptoms and doesn’t really give me anything despite me inputting a lot of info. Please make this app less annoying and more friendly to people who only want to use it explicitly for tracking..Version: 9.105.0

Accès à tousJ’aimerais beaucoup qu’on aille accès à toute les plateformes sans avoir besoin de flo prenium..Version: 9.105.0

More optionsI’d like to see “gassy” as an option for symptoms/ digestion. I’d like to see manic under “mood”. And more options/ knowledge about pmdd, endometriosis, pms and suicide ideation during a woman’s cycle. I’d also like to see a “natural” option that gives natural remedies to alleviate pain and symptoms. I’d like to see a birth control section that allows you to track and store birth control information as well as give knowledge on types of birth control and how to access them. It would be great if the neo location could show you a list of the closest women’s clinics in your area..Version: 9.97.1

AgeAs someone who’s 13 and has her period I’ll like to know if you can add a 2012 option because I hate lying about my age and saying i was born on 2010 or something if so I’ll love to use this app other.Version: 9.96.0
