Adobe Express: Create Anything Customer Service

I am sooo hurt about this Adobe! Like dang, i was using Adobe express on my iPhone as a very convenient way to import files into Illustrator for different projects on my iPad. I get on my phone this morning (April 25, 2024) to add some images to my current project and Adobe express is telling me there is a new version to try. That’s cool. I’m not tripping because it’s asking me to “Try it out, you’ll be able to return to the previous version.” Ok cool! So I’m looking around and it does seem super convenient and I almost went ahead and updated it, until I realized it said “ after you update you will not be able to go back to the previous version.” So I looked around the app a little more just to make sure that the feature that I was actually using it for was still available. AND OF COURSE the “Files” option was indeed there BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR THE PREMIUM VERSION to have access to it. So I went to the top of the screen where it gave me the option to either import my files from the old version and start using the new version OR go back to the previous version and “miss out on useing the new version “ I wanted to go back. It said “ to go back to the previous version restart the app” I did that. But now I’m stuck on this new version when that’s not what I selected to do, AND I don’t have access to the files that I had! Are you all trying to force people to pay for a premium subscription, for things that they already had access to without giving notice? Because if that’s not the intention and this is an error PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this.

Yes, I like this app enough to take my personal time and scratch out a review! It’s worth it. Most things “Adobe” are. (Except that awful camera app) 🤷‍♀️ This one is super easy to use and learn as you go. No need for tutorials and classes to get going on your project. It’s like a super power packed mini version of their overwhelming and difficult to navigate regular apps. It has enough features to create amazing stuff, without being totally confusing and off putting. I just jumped right in and spent time having fun with my creativity.. the flyer I made came out unbelievably perfect. It didn’t take forever since the commands to get each little detail and elements of all types into a look your happy with, seem to be very obvious and extremely difficult to mess up. Plus there is the well love “back button” for any mistakes that are made. It’s really a fun and useful app! I’ve made slides for a presentation, created a flyer, insta posts, Face Book posts- it has all the preset sized canvases for each platform, so no guessing or research necessary. Alright, enough of this- they should pay me!!! Lol. Get it! It’s a dream.😁

Loving the app so far having experience with many design projects. Really creates a peace of mind when needing to run through multiple iterations of a design because you know what you want once you see it, and not having to stop the creative flow to draft new thumbnail mock-ups, grab more paper, or even shuffle through needed layers. Literally the only problem I’ve ran across multiple times is when saving the file size even at the recommended dimensions for any content I decide to post on social media it results in a pixelated image on the desktop version while appearing clear and crisp on the mobile versions. I’ve tried uploading the image that gets saved directly to camera phone and then viewing it on the desktop version and it still comes out pixelated and not as crisp. And just for comparison I also tried saving the finished project directly to google drive and then downloading the image on a desktop and then uploading the image from the social site on the desktop and yet the Image still resulted in the same quality. At the moment it has been only good to design for smaller screen content. As it seems the resizing feature doesn’t seem to actually effect the resolution even though the info on the desktop changes, when you need to scale a design up for desktop view. Still giving a 4 though.

Posted my first attempt with Spark to Facebook, tried an animation with a fairly subtle zoom-out effect that looked very nice, but on Facebook the video kept looping repeatedly—it was about 3 seconds long. I found that there were limited options with text, with font point size missing altogether. (Most would agree that’s a pretty basic function, one would think.) You could change the relative size of text by enlarging or reducing the size of a text box or adjusting line spacing, but these were pretty awkward and unpredictable ways of doing so.) I wanted to italicize the title of the book from which I was quoting, but couldn’t find a simple way of doing that either—even though the font I used had a designed italic, I found I could not mix the two in the same sentence, after repeated tries of selecting and trying to format individual words. That said, the font selection was very good and quite tasteful, making any post created in Spark deliciously gorgeous and a cut above any typical meme-maker. As I mentioned in my post, I found the placement of the Adobe Spark logo at the bottom intrusive and lacking in subtlety or nuance. This needs to be addressed—I am not using the software primarily to create ads for Adobe. Still, because it can produce such beautiful results, I’m giving Spark four stars out of five.

Typically I’m too proud to do anything the easy way. I sometimes feel that if I didn’t build something completely from scratch, I didn’t build anything at all. But Spark Post helps me to work smarter, not harder—to feel that using intelligent design tools doesn’t make me less creative, but instead helps me to clarify and realize my vision faster. It helps me to focus my energy on making better content instead of on unnecessarily fussing over the presentation of a simple social media post that will disappear in 24 hours and that is meant to communicate a message rather than be my magnum opus. The only thing about Spark Post that disappoints me is that, in its attempt to make things easy and auto-intelligent, there are certain key features missing for those of us who like more control. For example, paragraph styles and spacing don’t exist—you need to create a new text box. Resizing text boxes forces the text, the shape, and the border to resize together rather than allowing you to alter each style independently. This makes matching text boxes difficult. To make more precise edits, I could take my graphic into Illustrator—but the point of Spark Post is one-stop editing for quick and easy social media posts. It would be nice to be able to get under the hood of your design with more advanced options.

Create a masterpiece. I had the paid version for both post and the other forget the name but it’s been years we have been together . Your my go to to create . Simple made fun but the creativeness is limitless more is not always better less can be beat if your wanting to create something this is the app that will test your ability to see beyond the norm and boring what I not liking as much is that what use to be free to use is no longer and some that were free you now charge to use that would be my only off the zoo of my head thing I like least to change I would like to see where you can add your face to a emoji and it does something you can type in the commands and when your done you have a moving emoji that really looks like you but cartoon style please note I like to dress my emoji I’m a sexy soul and you don’t know how to dress that and please real heel not sawed off pumps you can create so much with this app it just need the option to put yourself in it and to resize the squares the way you want knowing I’m not speaking foreign can you do it I can see paying the yearly low ( hint) fee or monthly you’ve arrived now pay it forward please and continue to grow. Trust me drop the price apply those two three things action emojis with your face and clothes you pick you will see something you’ve never thought possible and I’m not saying to get a life time membership for such an amazing ideal and kudos and a a little something in money forum to say OMG THANK YOU DONT BE A HATER NOW LIVE LAUGH SHARE 👩🏽‍🦱closed mouth doesn’t get fed and seeing I am homeless as in three days I can sure use the help be anazing and smile today Alli

Apri 2022: Thank you for the reply. Yes, the new version with more quality stock photos is much better. Previously, if you held down on the photo it would appear larger to see more detail. This would be an excellent to add that feature back in. And, please, please add a drop shadow to the remove background. I use this app all the time and it’s great I can pick right up on my last edits on my computer. Dec 2021: Removing the free stock uses right before the holidays is a mean grinch thing to do! Ugh!!! Post was my go to app for quick social marketing, and what am I getting for the price now? Very frustrating and disappointed. Edit: Still hoping Adobe will add drop shadow to the Remove Background option to make this a Five Star rating. Each upgrade keeps getting better and better. I find I use Spark often for quick editing on my phone. The remove background works really well, except sometimes for objects with any white near corners it grabs too much of the object. Otherwise, it works great on other colors. The ability to add or to keep in the shadows with the remove background option would make this app nearly perfect!!

Sometimes the best remain the best. This app is so perfect for creating (in my case) Instagram content that it is a must. As the world moves forward and technology evolves in ways that are hopefully making better content for everyone and keeping the highest possible standards for you and others. Adobe has created another fantastic app for IOS this time after being truly the only choice for professionals and users who are in need of professional quality without being part of their career journey or being 24 hour artist who accept the challenge of yesterday. I have been using and teaching adobe software since the beginning of photoshop 1 and illustrator 1. I knew Adobe as the only true encapsulated postscript font designer when there was a screen version and a print version for success. So I am greatly grateful and want to share my own experience with anyone reading. If you need to create the plethora of content needed in any job. Get this app. It’s a quick learning experience and it’s ADOBE EXCELLENT.

I’ve seen all the variations overtime, from Over to Spark post to Adobe express. - While in Over the app was super easy to use, It wasn’t bad at all as Spark Post or adobe express. - But it’s been a while since I’ve used this app and coming back to see the latest update in adobe express I am confused why there was the need to cluster bomb and complicate such a beautiful smooth app. - I use the app to print documents, share photos, make Instagram posts but print mostly worded documents. - Instead of giving visual aids of how the document will be like I’m seeing all these different names for formats which I know nothing about. I have to click on individual formats to check what it will be like. I had gotten used to Instagram, Facebook, a4 & letter size posts… which were previous available. - Plus, when I paste the long paragraphs on a selected format whether it be landscape or portrait for instance, the app goes in full blown stutter mode, the app lags a lot. - My review for this app as it stands is all time low. Super disappointed.

When i first downloaded Spark it was awesome. It still is. I love what it has to offer, especially for free. However it has been crashing SO much, 9/10 times deleting my projects I’m working on which inquire a lot of work. I run an online business and use spark to make my promotions. Today, i tried going on; crash, crash, crash, crash, crash, crash, crash - it will not open!! Very frustrating! Update: since this app has had a few updates, it’s running hella better AND they have added new features which has me OBSESSED!! App is easy to use, easy to navigate and stores every project you do which is SO convenient since i use it for business and personal use 2024 update: well, spark is no longer spark, and it appears that a lot of what used to be free is no longer free. Very unfortunate that all of these companies are being so greedy. I do love this app for my business and it is worth using it for free the features. The app doesn’t seem to crash like used to either.

I love this software. I’ve made 1,000’s of videos by prepping small videos to be expanded in another Adobe app. (I do all of that on an iPhone.) I’m kind of in shock because I’ve been getting notifications that say you’re merging this with Photoshop. You know Photoshop is huge. Every slide I make starts its path in Photoshop. There are 1,000’s of overlays. Every pic I use gets an overlay. Next I open the photo in Adobe Express, to give it moving parts. Then I use another app to give each mini video more time. Some of those videos are as much as an hour long, with over 100 original tiny videos. And there’s music, but I do that in Instagram or TikTok. You never did ask me what I thought about it. That means that you didn’t ask any of us. Now, I’m thinking that I won’t be able to do this anymore and it just feels like a lot of pain is coming my way.

I don’t like it, I liked it the way it was. I don’t know why all you app developers think all your users want to use AI… cause we don’t and I’m not even given a choice. It also changes the things I’ve already created under the last version of this app. Where are the stickers, why would you think we would still want that feature and I’ve used Adobe for years… I don’t care who else says it’s great and AI is wonderful, it’s not. I don’t like being forced to do something I don’t want to do or like and you are forcing me to… yep I can’t even use the app or see my creations unless I update to the AI version… For years I used nothing else but Adobe… oh I believe in progress but not being forced into it. Just can’t leave well enough alone, gotta jump on every band wagon because the competition is doing it, not knowing that very thing might be their downfall. Guess I’ll be looking for something without AI, cause I’m not updating 🤨

I don’t normally take time out of my busy day to write reviews but I felt that it’s important to get out how much of a giant waste of money my subscription to your platform is. As I write this, this application has crashed 10 times in the last two days. This is absolutely unacceptable seeing as how I have a deadline to meet and I’m literally wasting both precious time and money writing this and using this app on my iPad Pro. I’ve updated the app, I’ve updated the software on my iPad so don’t even try it with me. I’ve never had this problem in the past, this was once a great app and I don’t know what you’ve done with it but you’ve managed to make it so unbelievably unrecognizable and worst than even my own I imagination could possibly fathom. I’ve gladly contributed to your market research and I’ve been using your software for nearly 17 years. I don’t know what’s going on but it seems clear to me no one on your team actually uses this software enough to understand the basic needs of a traveling designer. I’m cancelling my subscription and moving to Canva. If I could give you -5 stars I would. I apologize if this sounds like a disgruntled rant but I’m at my whits end, I’m broke, and this app is literally making me more poor financially and mentally. But hey, have a beautiful day anyway.

I absolutely love this app! I use it constantly for my Etsy and Facebook pages and could use it even more if I had the time. Because it’s so easy, I change my pages and banners frequently - following seasons or announcing sales, or just so much fun, etc. I use the free templates as backgrounds and never fail to find something for the occasion. There are only two things that would make this app perfect for my needs: 1). The 5% opacity often leaves a text box shadow when using a font effect such as outlining or shadow - 0% would solve this problem. 2) Resizing using social media templates and background templates crops the image but will not reduce it to fit. I’ve even tried other apps to do this but it’s a nuisance. So much better if a image resizing capability could be included in Spark Post. With the addition of these two capabilities I would rate this app with 5 stars - and 10 if it were possible! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟x2

Spark Post is a great content creation tool. The learning curve isn’t daunting which is greatly appreciated. However, there are plenty of advanced tools like: animations, alternate font styles, etc. This application should accommodate most use cases, and the software has most if not all of the typical integrations you would expect which allows for easy content sharing on different platforms. I personally love the resizing presets for different social media sites. Most importantly this part of Adobe’s family of applications which ensures great user experience/interface, constant updates, and the introduction of new features over time. If you are a user who needs to brand your content there is an in app purchase that will allow you to do that as well. Can’t say enough good things about the app. Keep up the great work Spark Post team, I always look forward to the new features you introduce!

Whether it’s a witty meme, an image to send to friends and family, laughter, or a tool that allows you to create professionally created images for your business, this app is almost perfect. I would even go as far as saying Adobe apps are a game changer. I can produce high quality images on my telephone. As an artist, I can create images for my business to promote my work online or small print. This app helps you create stunning, modern, and eye catching material. The downfall of this particular app is the logo imprinted on images, unless you pay $9.99 per month for a premium version. Granted, Adobe access to a tremendous amount of technology through their apps, free of charge. That’s what makes this particular fee seem like it’s trying to nickel and dime customers. You can make your image a little larger, and then crop their logo, or you can use another app to place your logo over the app logo in the final image. It’s an extra step, but easy enough to do, so I don’t see a reason to pay for a premium version. One of my favorite features is that the app allows you to size images for specific social media platforms. The exact image may vary from one platform to the next, but I maintain the same theme and branding. This is really a game changer. I remember starting as an artist, and technology was so different. Advertising seemed out of reach at times. Now, it’s like I’m my own advertising department.

Ok, I must admit that I was an Adobe Express hater and turned to Canva for a long time. But Canva started to include AI slop without warning, so I cancelled my subscription and decided to give AE another chance, since it’s part of my Adobe package. Best decision ! The improvement is outstanding. That’s what it looks like when developers actually listen to their customers. Well, Adobe still includes AI slop, but at least we have the option to filter it out. Thank you for that, it’s very important for artist who respect the craft. The only thing still bothering me : I wish there was an easier way to change the colors of design assets instead of tweaking it in duotone mode. Also a “recently used swatches” would be a plus. Anyway, thanks for making the app so user friendly !

For years I was looking for something great to great my flyers for festivals, events etc When someone talked to me about this App I was amazed. Now not only adding spicy to my marketing, but also I’m helping my wife to grow her direct sales shampoo business and taking it to the next level. Every week we create flyers using pics from female models on High Resolution and is helping her and team to be number one nationwide on sales almost every month. Also we are doing the recognition billboard for the best sales people of my wife’s sales team. Guys really you don’t have an idea how you help us to improve our businesses in so many ways. The new update is horrible. No one needs to have their day ruined bc the app is totally reorganized… It’s great you kept the original so it reduces stress for some who need it. I do like some things about the new one but its organization is just way too inconsistent. People need apps that are reliable foremost. It glitches when you try to open a file or when you do something basic like resize. Computers from the 1990s can do it why can’t this app. All the AI but can’t even open a new file or resize a square. I’m being sassy but it’s really agitating. Loads of excessive motion graphics. It’s not pleasing to have motion graphics looping when you just want to work. Totally reorganizing an app is pretty reckless guys. I don’t usually write harsh reviews but this is concerning. I love Adobe but this is just not good. The original app is very good, if you can keep the old version’s organization while you adjust the new app to be more sensible, consistent, and empathetic to the user I’ll definitely update my review to 5. Tbh I’ve been an Adobe user for 15 years at this point and I don’t want to rate low at all, but I want to make sure you know what’s going on with this pesky thing!!!!!

I’d started having trouble with the app after a few weeks of using it without issue, I felt blown off when I contacted help, I continued trying to use the app but complained about the issue here. A few days later seen I was asked to contact support again but I figure letting them know about the issue is enough - so I wait it out. It’s now been over a week and I haven’t had anymore issues. I’m back to loving this app but worried it’ll change after I update my review. Not necessarily based on a lack of trust in Adobe but businesses in general. I’ve always been a fan of Adobe and been a creative cloud subscriber for years and happy about it for 99.9% of the time. Which is why I was so flustered by the issue with this app but it seems to be fixed now so- yay! 👍🏼👍🏼

You literally just made this app the worst in the world! You took a simple, easy to use app and 100% completely changed the entire formate and made it extremely complicated, burdened down and unresponsive because there’s too much. You have to completely learn it all over….something you’ve used the same for years. And the simplest things are just not intuitive or showing up. I am literally forced right now to go recreate anything I want to use again in a new app/ software and learn that. Going to change a little bit of text on a previous project that should’ve taken 2 minutes has now become an all night process or realistically as I said, learning a completely new app. Thanks!

A really good app for image editing on both a smartphone and computer! Images edited on one device sync to your other. Great overall app!

Oh I’m so disappointed and will likely cancel my premium subscription soon. I use Adobe Express quite frequently to make flyers. I found it incredibly user-friendly and even decided to pay for the annual premium subscription because I loved this program so much. I could create flyers on my phone, then quickly open them on my desktop version to save as specific file types and email them with zero issues. The mobile and desktop versions worked seamlessly together and I could go back and forth between them to edit. Now, Adobe has ruined it. I can no longer open my projects on my desktop without the entire project being altered in a horrible way. I can no longer find specific features on the desktop version that I commonly use on the mobile version (e.g. order, curved text). They are GONE! Design assets, shapes, graphics, etc that I pay for through my premium subscription completely disappear in the desktop version. The project no longer stays still on the center of the screen when selecting features in desktop. I can no longer access any changes I make in the desktop version on my mobile version. It is to the point where I completely dread even trying to open my beautiful mobile project on my computer. Now, I’m having to create projects and save file types strictly on my phone, but there are so many go-arounds required with this option. I don’t know why Abode changed this previously wonderful and user-friendly amateur design program, but I may consider exploring a non-Adobe design program. I’m so sad.

This new update is absolutely ATROCIOUS. This was my favorite graphic design app, it was simplistic all while offering unlimited capabilities when using your creativity. I have been reverting my phone and iPad every time I opened the app to the previous version the ENTIRE last year. Now we’re forced to use the newer version which is NOT USER FRIENDLY whatsoever. It’s clogged and chaotic, it forces you to use landscape mode on the iPad which I cannot stand. I’d make stunning prints with my photography in minutes, now it glitches RELENTLESSLY zooming all over away from the actual design space just trying to simply move a font... I gave up entirely after 30 minutes of wanting to pull my hair out. As someone who has used Adobe over 10 years and has loved this app specifically for years and years I am heartbroken. The glitches are endless, the forced update I will never forgive adobe for. It is no longer user friendly. Not to mention all my prints I already made I don’t have access to unless I click them and they are updated for the new app (which says the colors may differ and is even changing the fonts - so we’re more limited on top of it and whatever you created is either altered for half or unaccessible unless to simple save). I absolutely hate this update they utterly ruined the app. For the love of god offer the option to keep the old version loyal users used regularly. This is horrible.

Before the update the app was much more mobile friendly. I use this app to do quick edits for posts or layouts, i used to be able to zoom out the canvas, easily crop, nudge elements and work offline. Cropping your pictures is awful. You can not crop just one side like you previously could, and when you click to crop something the bar goes up so that you cant even see half of what you're cropping. Oh yea, and you also cant zoom out the canvas, so if you have a big element that you want only half of in the canvas, you have to make it larger on the canvas, move it, make it larger again and then move it out. And finally, you cant work offline anymore. This has been pretty devastating for me, as this was the only app i even could use to edit offline. I understand needing internet to sync to cloud, or to load stock elements, even for removing backgrounds. But not being able to use the app at all? I don't want my file to save to the cloud, i just want to edit two pictures together while im on the train!! Save it to my device instead!! There are some good new features, but the loss of the most basic and important ones make the app less usable.. I wish i could switch back to the legacy version like what was previously available..

I had just started using this app this year, it was fairly easy to use, and had a nice aesthetic (nice fonts, good “style” suggestions, etc.,) but since their latest version updated… yuck! What used to take 1 step now takes like 3, the icons and their labels are not helpful (which creates more steps to open up to see if what you are looking for is there,) the little box “layers” they put on a sidebar, right over my project is annoying, and if I “x” it out, where are they? What is even the point then? Just another useless step. Everything is just more steps, and more confusing. And it isn’t because I was “used” to the older version, because I didn’t use it often enough. And I am not a person who dislikes change. But this version is the furthest thing away from improvement, and I would not pay for the pro version. And frankly, probably won’t be interested in Adobe apps in the future. They should study Capcut and the ease and simplicity that they have accomplished with their app, and that’s with a bazillion features at a reasonable fee. That, I do pay for. But even their free version is delightful. I am using the iphone app, btw. So my review is based on mobile experience.

I don’t know what happened to Adobe Express. One minute it was simple, easy to use, had a wide array of design assets, and the next, I have mysticism in my face and a fraction of the variety that I used to have in design assets. (Specifically in the old categories; they have added other “modern” categories that have a wide array of options) They used to have a wonderful variety of watercolor flowers and greenery that I’ve used for countless other projects, and now they only have a handful of flowers and greenery (in the watercolor style). They’ve added another category of ‘pointillism’ flowers, but they’re not much suited for any professional designs except maybe an art teachers flyer? The new ‘textured watercolor’ flower category is not really ‘flower’ or ‘watercolor’ but more abstract, expressive, modern designs. The few watercolor flowers they did have were dark, muddy tones, and the only watercolor flower arrangement I could find had skulls placed inside. Most of us who use adobe express use it for graphic design and professional projects, *most* of which do not feature skulls, moons, stars, symbols, hand with eyes, etc. It’s adobe’s free choice to add these elements, I just wish they had not done so at the expense of the other content. At this point it’s not usable for my professional purposes.

Yesterday, April 19, 2024, I went into the app as usual and it showed me something that said if I wanted to switch to the new version or if I wanted to continue using the regular version. Being curious I wanted to see what the new version of the app was, and that was a BIG MISTAKE. The layout and everything changed and it is absolutely horrendous to work with. One big thing is that with this new layout and everything it makes my phone super slow every time I open the app now. I’ve been using your app since around late 2022 and have a no problems with it until this new update. It is so bad. It’s like how Discord changed their app’s layout with an update a few months ago and everyone hated it because of how bad it is. I’m noticing A LOT of companies doing this to their apps by changing the layout of them. If this is an considered an “upgrade” that means it’s supposed to help make the app better and easier to work with. This new update isn’t an upgrade. It has made it so much harder to work with. If there is a way I’m able to go back to using the old layout, even after it already gave me the chance and now I can’t go back, then PLEASE let me know because as of right now I am very disappointed with what this app has become now with this new update.

Taking time out of my workday to say that the recent update has made my experience go from glowing to absolutely miserable. As other Reviewers mention, there are so many bugs, drop-downs that disappear, reduced functionality, it only can be used in landscape mode, useless pop-ups that take up the entire work screen, and repeated crashing while working. There was a period where I could not access any fonts, because the drop-down only showed a sliver of the name of each font, Meaning, I could barely see what I was scrolling to find. At another point, I used the blending tool and wanted to revert to another effect in the drop-down screen which showed a ghost of a screen, then disappeared and I was unable to fix the layer. What’s most upsetting is that I worked on a post that I wanted to turn into a flyer and the resize feature would not stop sending error codes. I contacted support- their name was Mushafiq, and they told me to use Chrome. Chrome just has a landing page that takes you back to the app. I sent them a screenshot and they ended the chat with no further comment or resolution. I’m tired of wasting my time and energy on this Adobe product and will be finding an alternative ASAP.

I really want to love this app because Adobe products are my preferred programs for all things photography and work related. I was so excited that they came out with Adobe express so I could have one software to use with my coworkers on team projects. We used Canva and learned very quickly if someone created a template and decided to leave or remove you then you would lose all your hard work and have to start over. The biggest issue with Adobe Express is that for the life of me I can’t get the app and website to synch my template. I reached out to support and still can’t get them to communicate. The website is so glitchy and will crash while you are editing. I can’t get my documents to download as a complete pdf either. My two options are single page pdfs or images to combine into a pdf. But these are minor issues compared to the fact that the program won’t communicate between platforms. This is a huge issue for someone in the professional world considering the only option to edit on a phone is the app since the computer version is still in beta. I really wanted to give more stars but can’t with all of these issues.

This app feels like it's supposed to work really well but the online tutorials are atrocious and it's so hard to figure it out. Like it took me forever to realize you have to actually tap the picture to get to the editor, and it's pretty good for simple edits, but the site says it has things like removing camera shake and other features that I can't find anywhere. The site says "just go in the app and make layers lol" as if it's that easy, but it doesn't tell me WHERE to do this, and it seems like the features are super vague without having previous knowledge of how they work. Also, why isn't there an option to fit your edit to the frame? And why does it change the size of the picture when I tap "move freely"?? It's incredibly inconvenient to have to do a freeform edit with no guarantee that it's not ruining the quality or actually fitting properly to the frame. These are insanely basic functions that seem nonexistent. Honestly, just improve the tutorials or make it a little more clear how things work cause right now it just seems like a sort of mediocre app that claims it can do things it can't.

Adobe Express originally Dobe Spark has been part of my workflow for years now but now since the update it has been rendered essentially unusable when you want to edit text instead of just opening the text window it now zooms in on your project and only select exactly where you typed not allowing you to just start immediately typing. Whenever you click on any asset more than once even on accident it zooms in to fill it in the screen so if you're trying to look at your project you have to constantly zoom out in order to make any type of adjustment. Now in order to duplicate an object you need three separate menus to click through simply to duplicate or group items. before the update fonts were clustered in nice little icons so that you could easily select a font you wanted instead now it is a lengthy list that you need to doom scroll in order to find anything. how the app was previously was essentially perfect and now I think I'm just gonna have to cancel my subscription and find an alternative because even after learning how to use the update there is no way to edit things quickly unless you use a prebuilt template. Extremely disappointing.

I updated this app, which automatically changed it from Spark Post to CC Express and noticed right away that Adobe screwed us. Let me start off with this, they took away the ability to resize a graphic after you have started the project unless you pay for their premium membership. Before, you could do this extremely simple task without paying anything. They also ‘added’ a menu bar at the top of the home area that allows you to select a category of templates to select from when you start a project, which isn’t actually new. All Adobe did with this update is remove the ability to resize a graphic in the middle of the project without paying them $9.99 a month, and changed the name of Spark Post. It’s probably a good thing that they changed the name because now I don’t have to associate a once great product with whatever garbage this is now called. The sad part of this is that there are plenty of teachers and other people who work in education who used the Spark Post app because it was mostly free. I can’t see this happening going forward if this trend continues. If you can avoid updating from Spark Post, then hold off as long as you can!!!!

Well, I’m saddened and Glad at what I have read so far with latest reviews to the newest update. Adobe, why fix something that isn’t broken? My heart sank when I read about your “new” and “improved” version. Spark Post is by far the best app that I have come upon in years. Best, that I was willing to shell out the yearly subscription fee, which isn’t cheep. I just paid for the subscription over a month ago and now I get to deal with a broken app? No thanks! I’ll will refuse to update my app until you address all of the issues I am reading about, which is larger than what has been reported. Now that I think about it, I tried emailing my projects from Spark Post this morning and all of a sudden they aren’t delivering to my email…. Very strange… Consumers, it’s time for all of you to speak up if you are unhappy with what is being done here. Let the developers know that they messed up. Be very suspicious of the two to three word reviews after the newest update to what ever they are calling the app now saying how great this app is. Whole thing smells pretty stinky to me.

Update: thankfully for now, I was able to revert back to the old version and all of my work is back. I guess I’ll just stay with the old version as long as it keeps working. It’s so much faster. I wish they would have just updated and built upon the existing app instead of turning it into Canva. Express was so much easier and faster to use on iPad. If your on a laptop then I can’t speak to that the newer version may be better on there. On iPad the new is just awful it seems better suited for a mouse and keyboard. I’m just happy to get all of our work back and have a faster workflow still with the older version. We used Adobe express because it lived up to its name it was truly fast and simple. No longer. The express is gone and is now a convoluted mess like Canva. The new Canva er I mean express layout is to put it politely trash. Especially on iPad or mobile. Too bad what use to take 2-3 gestures now take 7-8 just to accomplish the same result. It’s so frustrating. Everyone just copies what’s trending instead of producing a great product on their own. Express was amazing and there was nothing like it out there for speed and simplicity. I use Adobe express as a precursor for my design in photoshop. It’s super easy and we are able to quickly sketch out ideas so to speak or knock out easy design super fast it has been a joy. We made the mistake of upgrading today to the new app, not only did we lose hundreds of hours of work because the elements we used in the old app don’t transfer to the new one, it now is just a mess. It looks like Canva which we hate and is why we used express in the first place. Granted it was in need of some updates for sure but not this. Warning, when you upgrade you will no longer be able to edit certain features of your designs in the new app so they are essentially lost.

I am once again begging Adobe to please make Adobe Express more user friendly and intuitive. All you need to do is find some people who work at Canva and hire them because Canva does not have many or most of the problems AE has. We've been told the mobile app version (as in the one that is fully compatible with the desktop version) is coming soon, but using this program is such a drag right now. The app freezes. The export feature takes so long. I do not want to create content using generative AI and would like to be able to turn this feature OFF. I understand that the people who are working on this are probably doing the best they can with the resources they have. Perhaps Adobe could for some more money over and hire more people and then give everyone raises because it's really insulting to use this product -- I pay for Adobe CC monthly and therefore feel it would be ridiculous to pay another subscription to Canva on top of this, but yall need to figure this out ASAP because I feel like I'm setting my money on fire. Thank you so much.

On my previous version, changed sometime in the last year, I could do my creation in minutes. Swiftly and with no frustration. The newer version went all over the top with all kinds of bells and whistles, but lacks ease to manage. It is not intuitive like the previous. Spent 10 mins finding where the fonts went. Another 20 mins trying to figure out how to change colors on font. Since last night trying to find how to change colors in the font “effects” . I had to restart my creation numerous time because the app kept duplicating the text. It’s been now 3 hours and I can’t figure out where on earth are the features that I need. I do not have time to be calling or chatting with text support but now I will have to out of no other choice. Am I looking forward to deal with the support staff? Absolutely not; the few times I have called they have been unhelpful, short and they have an attitude. I pay a lot of money for a suite where I only use Acrobat and Express and don’t see me paying for a useless app. Trying canva today and hope to say bye bye to Adobe.

This latest update has unfortunately transformed what was once a quick and efficient go-to design app into a source of frustration. As a long-time, frequent user, I relied on Adobe Express for its speed and simplicity in creating quick designs. Projects that previously took a mere ten minutes are now taking me upwards of an hour, and not by choice. The update introduced unnecessary complexity, negatively impacting its core functionality in a way that drastically slows down the design process. What was once intuitive now feels cumbersome. Spending over an hour on a simple design that was previously effortless is a setback in my opinion and greatly impacts productivity. While updates often aim to improve user experience, this one appears to have had the opposite effect, at least for users who valued the app for its speed and ease of use. I sincerely hope Adobe addresses these issues in the next update and restores it to its former efficiency and user-friendliness. For now, I find myself hesitant to rely on it for time-sensitive projects, which is a disappointing turn of events for a once indispensable tool.

TL;DR—fast, lightweight mobile graphic content app; terrible, virtually nonexistent integration into CC, & fonts are exclusive. I’m a longtime CC subscriber and I actively use Adobe Fonts in my projects, in addition to the old megacollection of Typekit fonts I still have on my system. It is completely perplexing to me that the default fonts in Spark are not available through Adobe Fonts for any desktop work. Sure, you can add your preferred fonts TO Spark, but you can’t use any default Spark fonts OUTSIDE of Spark—like if you want to take a Spark project to a higher level in Illustrator, there just isn’t any support for the font you started with unless you go buy desktop licenses from the forges individually. At the moment, I’m at a complete loss to why Harmon, for example, would be available on Spark but not in the Typekit or Adobe Fonts. Come on Adobe. This is pretty ridiculous. Integrate Spark (and all your other mobile apps) into the rest of your product family already, and don’t include special fonts in Spark that aren’t already available to your subscribers (who pay out the nose for your programs) from other Adobe sources. I literally just want to recreate some of my Spark posts in Illustrator & InDesign but I can’t without searching high and low for a somewhat comparable, inexact alternative. It’s been years and years since CC was released and yet the “cloud” part of it still doesn’t work very well across all your products. Get your heads out of the sand.

Its a decent editing app but has some easy fixes that would make it so much better. 1. When the grid says something is centered in the middle of the template, it is actually off by a little bit so you end up having uneven patterns. 2. When you line something up with the edge and it makes you lock on to it, it isn’t actually on the edge but very close to it. You can see the gap between the object you placed and the edge of the project. Same applies when you try to put objects together, they arent actually touching and its very frustrating because theres an obvious gap between them that is easily visible. 3. When you press the “remove background” button on something with a white background and a dark subject, it doesn’t allow you to change the color of the subject but instead makes the supposedly deleted background that color which defeats the whole purpose of the tool. 4. When moving objects around it is very hard to get freedom of placement. It always wants to lock on to the grid but will sometimes let you move it freely if you move it very slowly, but it is inconsistent. Plus the grid is usually off anyways so it makes it extra annoying. 5. These problems may seem pretty small but when you want a project without mistakes these things get really annoying very fast. I make very simple projects that are made way harder by this app just not doing its job when it comes to some things.

This app is my favorite when it comes to making quick designs on the go and is really helpful when I don’t have my laptop with me. But as of the past few months ever since the big UI changes rolled out it’s been unusable. The app is constantly crashing on me and taking way to long to load anything when it comes to adding pictures or changing colors and fonts. I miss how the old app used to work but I’m unable to go back to the previous version. I still use the computer version everyday and would love to be able to use this app too but as of right now it’s turning a fun hobby into a negative experience. I just want to be able to load my files and not have to restart the app every minute just to get any sort of functionality. Please fix the crashing and bug problems so we can design with ease and use this app how it was intended to be used. P.S. if the app was working the way it used to and not crashing on me constantly it would be a 5 star app, but for now it is noting more then a bad app.

The original layout of this app was truly perfect — easy to use, everything from the tools available to the layout was brilliant. This latest update makes the app clunky, difficult to use and there are now problems with saving work! The AI tools offered are constantly suggested when all I want to do is remove the background from a picture. I have used Adobe software since I was in college and this is the most disappointed I have ever been with on of their products. Please bring back the original app! UPDATE: This app is still difficult to work with and barely works if at all, especially with the video tool. After selecting videos to upload from my own device, they never load onto the timeline. I am just stuck in my camera roll, tapping “add”. I’ve closed out of the app and tried again, restarted my phone etc. and nothing works. Please bring back the original layout of the app it was truly perfect! I’ve used Adobe products for years now and it’s getting too expensive to use for software that BARELY works.

Update: Adobe will reply to all negative reviews with links telling you why you have to switch to AI. They have fully lost their way. Update just updated some users to a new beta version of the app. The app is riddled with AI and it is harder than ever to edit images. As a long time customers and nearly a daily user of Express this has cut into my workflow in a big way. Running a small business, graphic design is a necessity and a budgeted item. I reached out to Adobe Support and they advised you can migrate back to the original app. However, this will be a required up date in May. Coincidentally he advised my subscription is up in May. If you don’t already use Canva, look into it. It has the same powerful editing engine but with tasteful AI integration (even though I don’t plan to use any of it). That’s what I am making the switch to when my subscription is up. Thanks for all the years Adobe. I just wished you remained as a company that supports artists as opposed to promoting machines that will kill organic art.

Yeah this app would be a lot better if u could be able to download the full length of video clips onto the app having to cut edit and past 30 seconds at a time makes it very difficult to work with the app I tried making a 5 minute video and it wouldn’t allow me to instead I had to cut copy and past every 30 seconds of the clip until I could finally finish my project it took me 8 hours to edit a 5 minute video in witch if I wanted I could of just recorded the video on a regular camera and had it done in a mater of 10 minutes as for adobe if u want to download a video or cut and paste u have to upload every 30 seconds of the clip by cutting and pasting each section of the video until u can get the full length I had to turn in a homework assignment having to go to school the next day all I wanted to do is record a 5 minute clip witch normally would only take probably 5 minutes to do but on adobe app it took me 8 hours to record edit paste 30 second clips of my videos until I could make it the full 5 minutes of recording that I originally had. But it would be nice if u could be able to cut and paste the full length of videos onto the app I think there should have a movie future on the app so u can make movies that are full length instead of 30 second clips that would be more for if you where trying to make a 3 minute commercial or something for example but other than that the app is great but I do believe they need to make improvements on the app such as include some new features and editing software but I was using the free version maybe if u pay for it it’s different but I something that I wanted to mention from working with the app but all I’m saying is that it makes it difficult when all u have to work with us 30 seconds at least make it 60 seconds or make a feature so u can adjust the clock for the timing and make it so u can set the time for the amount of time u want it instead of only having to work with 30 seconds

This app used to be my go to for all social media posts for the non-profit that I work for. Recently they eliminated the “Shapes” category. Even for my premium paid account. Shapes was by far the most useful tool for me. Now it can only be used for desktop. But in order to edit things on desktop, you need to move the file which makes it no longer available on mobile. On top of that, my files no longer sync with my iPad. So frustrating. The app is basically useless to me for any new creations. And with it not syncing to my iPad, it’s difficult to edit any old creations unless I’m on my phone. I’ll give it one month, if it doesn’t improve I will be canceling my premium acct. Update- the app is still unusable even after more updates. Constantly crashes every time you try to add an element or change the font or do anything at all. I keep paying for it because it used to be the best and I keep hoping they’ll fix it. But I guess they don’t care. Complete rip-off.

When I first launched the updated version I absolutely hated it, it was so glitchy. The old version was smooth, so much easier to use and simple. The new version seemed over complicated - if I wanted to work in Photoshop I would work in Photoshop, the beauty of Express was it was great for knocking out quick work - it did exactly what it said on the tin. It’s taken a while, I’ve got used to the new UI but there are so many things I hate. How about guidelines for things like a tri fold flyer? If you’re working on a multi paged design how about being able to move icons between those pages? Why can’t I save a png image with absolutely no background? And why oh why can’t I export an express file as a psd file if I need to? Original Express was great, simple, made sense. Don’t get me wrong new Express isn’t all bad but it’s also bonkers - really really bonkers. It’s like you have tried too hard to create something no one wanted.

I love this app. I love adobe. I think it’s amazing for creatives and I praise this app and its possibilities. HOWEVER, i’m tempted to stop using spark because of it’s major bug issues that have become detrimental to my business. I go one day from it working to another day telling my client that we’ll have to delay posting because the app keeps telling me to renew my subscription, yet when i try to renew it, the options come up blank. So I spend hours trying to fix the problem, resetting my phone, redownloading the app. Its EXHAUSTING. Especially because I probably do this once a month. And every few months it just decides to turn the images black, keeping only the texts when i try to download or post. And when i do the reset, redownload, it deletes all the work i’ve just put in. Spark has been a life saver. But it I catch it on a bad day, it can ruin everything, setting me back by at least a day. Please, please, PLEASE fix these issues. I don’t want to stop using this wonderful app but if this continues I might have to.

I have been using the new version of Adobe Express since it first came out. They have destroyed the usability of this app. I’ve never had this experience before until now — an app that I used every day and really enjoyed was completely ruined by an update/overhaul. The UI for this new version is so bad. As soon as you tap on a button, the whole UI shifts. The button you were trying to push next suddenly shifts across the screen. For basic meme/gif/poster editing, they have hidden the most useful buttons deep in the menu. Creating graphics used to be so easy, now it’s taking 5x as long. The app takes forever to load. When you open the app, you are greeted by a million (often irrelevant) options all at once. Finding what you want in the app can take forever. At this point it’s often easier to make things directly in the Apple Photos app than use this garbage app.

The thing I think I find most disappointing is that this app lacks some of my favorite features from the Over app. 1. There isn’t a way to add basic shapes and “add icon” is a mediocre substitute. In the Spark templates they often cheat to make shapes by typing letters and then making the font and font shape the same color. This is ridiculous. Just add some shapes. And snapping is usually not accurate for the icons so they look misaligned unless you nudge them around. 2. The size snapping is often more harmful than helpful. And there’s no way to type in the specific size you want so you end up endlessly bouncing from too big to to small. It’s infuriating. 3. There’s no masking feature. I miss this the most. It’s the thing that makes the most difference between “I did this on my phone” and “I’m a professional.” PLEASE ADD THIS 4. You can’t zoom in to see where things are actually lining up. 5. Nudge seems to move things based on a percentage of the size so getting equal spacing on different sized elements is pretty much impossible. 6. There are no gradients. Which could be a part of the shapes. You can do this, I believe in you. I really want to make this work because I already paid for it. I’m sure developers use other apps to see what’s going on elsewhere, but if they don’t, you really should.

The locked landscape mode and weird not entirely website and not entirely mobile version on the iPad makes this 100% unusable on the iPad. Let us use it as the same convenient, app in the iPhone! Half of the features don’t work correctly in iPad, are impossible to find or are blocked by the full screen, minimize screen buttons. You can’t figure out where half the controls are as it’s not exactly the same as the website, and the controls don’t even work correctly for what you do use. I’d love to be able to,use this in portrait mode and actually SEE WHAT I’M working on, versus the landscape mode which sorry, just doesn’t fill the screen the same, since over half the screen is controls. Oh, and whether it’s iPad or iPhone, let me zoom OUT past the screen size. I need to be able to grab boundary edges and move them around but can’t because you’re locked in to a view that only lets you go to the fit screen window. It’s awful.

23 years old, have used adobe spark since 2016. Why did we need to change everything again? The old version was much simpler and user friendly. You uploaded an image, picked the dimensions, then were brought to the edit page where all editing options were easily accessible. In this new update, there are too many tabs now, and it’s so hard to navigate. I have no idea where to go for anything anymore and nothing makes any sense. There are too many things that open, close, move, idk how to describe it. This new layout was unnecessary, we had something good and it worked. The developers didn’t need to take another step forward, but did, and ended up walking off a cliff. I can see a lot of folks who used this app moving away now due to how difficult it is using this new interface. Will change my review if I get better with it🧌

I mostly use this app to make silly memes to share with friends, and am realizing I should’ve never downloaded the update. I enjoyed the app previously because it was extremely simple to use. I could select two or three pictures from my library, and they’d be nicely organized in whatever grid I wanted, with consistent borders that were easily adjustable. Now if I select multiple photos it isn’t organized into a grid or collage. The only way I can do it is by duplicating existing work I did on the previous version that has a grid & proper borders. I literally just want to be able to organize a few photos into a collage and add some text, and this has become almost impossible to use

The new update made me stop using this app. This used the be THE BEST mobile editing app, to the point where I often used it for work rather than use illustrator on my laptop. But with each update the app became worse and worse. Now it’s become a generic app that is a nightmare to navigate.

So unimaginably unintuitive to use, bloated, and the cloud thing is so stupid and slow. Awful. Zero stars. Cancelling right now. Brutal. UPDATED RESPONSE TO DEVELOPER: The workflow makes no sense. How you start a project makes no sense. Starting a new project is confusing because you choose certain options and then you find none of that has actually occurred. I only bought into this to make YT thumbnails. I select the aspect ratio I want, choose a photo and discover it’s not the aspect ratio I wanted and chose at the beginning. The Cloud storage is ENGAGINGLY slow. Choose a video, wait, wait, wait some more for the spinning thing to end and it just never does. Absolutely not ready for users. I worked at a software company for 10 years. We’d never ship a product with this many holes in it and this terrible performance. I’m not your paid beta tester. If I’m paying you, you better have spent money on a gang of beta testers, not shoved your product into the market and hope people work it out. And this monthly subscription model to inflate the value of your business with predictable revenue is NONSENSE. This product sucks. The main screen has so many stupid things on it and it’s utterly confusing. I can’t say enough bad things about it. There’s your response.

What was wrong with spark video? Why did we feel the need to change everything? It’s too similar to Canva, is very laggy and you can’t put music in it anymore. Maybe bring back the old spark video it was way more simple and easier to use.

Extremely buggy complete waste of time. All the features are behind pay walls

Went in to resize a few photo's. not a service that is worth any money, its just resizing, i downloaded ur app because adobe has some name rep so i figured itd be frictionless and it was everything but. first off, resizing is not a premium feature, its a regular feature. screw you for having the gall to ask me to fork it over for that. second, your interface is clunky and badly layed out. nothing is in the spot that it should be, and its obvious thag whoever did this needs to be fired. terrible app, idk whats with all the astroturfed reviews.

Loved Adobe Express, but a subscriber for the last 6 years. The new version of the app sucks. The UX is horrible, everything now is way less intuitive and way more convoluted. Half the time it doesn’t work. A new version is supposed to make things better, not worse. Doubtful they even did any user research or beta testing.

It is so glitchy and horrible. This was such an easy app to use and now it sucks. Also the generative ai option is ick. I’ll probably download all my projects and delete it. Do better, thanks.

Even with new iPad Air, this app doesn’t have new features

Newest update ruined the fluidity of this app and limited basic features to render it useless. Adobe you’ve got enough money. I’ve been paying you for decades. Calm down.

I love this app. But we can’t acces all of our project on the iPad. I have to work on my mac. The phone app and on the web site everything is fine. (Desktop site does not work on chrome*)

Ive used this frequently until today and it was great for what it was. Simple yet great. This latest update is an absolute junk. So useless you can’t even resize a transparent logo over a basic black background. Did your developers even try using this before launching the update? What a joke

No support to import from lightroom in new version. Lightroom does not upload to creative cloud libraries, they just need money by luring attractive ads we did this we add that, in reality they forget basic features 👎👎 not recommended

All the shapes that used to be there got taken off. There used to be thousands and now there’s barely anything. Can’t even use the app for what I’ve always used it for.

Why do you have to go move credit card for free trial???? Hate these apps that say it’s free and then have to give credit info to get it.

I tried to make a logo from scratch and it didn’t even allow me to modify the shapes to design a logo or to manipulate their dimensions.

Never got my free trial adobe express. They charged me right away on my credit card. I don’t recommend this program.

I don’t understand how this ai filled, laggy and impossible possible to use app has a rating higher than one star. There’s plenty of alternatives out there that won’t make you want to jump off a bridge while using it, so use them. Don’t waste your time on this, because now that they replace most of their features with ai slop, its terrible.

I edited a free template and at the end when i was about to download it it told me to remove the assets when i was trying to figure it out another asset deleted and my project went to homepage and i could not undo my mistake just stay away because it is frustrating if you are not on premium because the free assets don’t work well overall frustrating experience when i have tried to use and it’s frustrating because i usually prefer adobe products but this needs more work why cant i restore last version or undo the mistake

Was good app until updates made it virtually unusable. Now won’t even run on my iPad…tells me I need iOS 18. After the amount of money my Adobe Suite costs me a month…absolutely NO WAY I’m spending any more on this poorly designed software. So disappointed in Adobe!

Tried to use it on my phone,computer,and iPad, no matter what I do the app keeps on crashing and glitching, and to top it all off, the app crashes my entire phone,iPad,and computer once exiting out the app, DO NOT GET, if you want to experience a ton of glitches and you’re projects not being saved.

You’ll go to erase the background of a layer with a brush tool and you’ll end up dragging the layer WHILE you’re in the tool. Doesn’t make any sense. Got bad to the point I deleted the app out of frustration. Also pushes “auto” and “ai” stuff way too hard - I want a MANUAL brush. You’ll go to do something precise and the app will think you wanted to sledgehammer something. I had to go through 3 menus to make erasing manual. Also - adding a layer? Add 3 menus to get to your camera roll to import. Why is the new layer button defaulting to the stock images page??
