Lightroom: AI Photo Editor Customer Service

I’m so thankful to have Lightroom that I’ve always dreamed about. I’m taking a editing course from a iPhone photography editing class. I’ve always wanted to be able to edit pictures correctly. Thanks to Lightroom and learning how in the class it has been wonderful beyond words. I am going to cancel the old Lightroom that I had years ago that I didn’t know how to use like I'm learning now. After getting the premium as I’m learning with Clifford on the photography class, I realize in my class I was needing updated to your new updated ones now that's available. So when my premium stops March 8, I will immediately apply for the new Lightroom getting the premium that you folks offer at a price I can afford. Doing the Lightroom with my instructor as I'm writing out Word for Word what he's teaching me ,I can't follow at all with my old Lightroom of years ago because everything is different with the new one he’s using. So when you see my cancellation that’s what I am doing to get my newest Lightroom update. I was hoping I could get it sooner, but since I’m paid up till February 8, it wouldn’t let me update to the newest Lightroom . So please know when I cancel that’s what I am doing to get the newest Lightroom. please inform whomever that I’m not trying to play games or take advantage of your system. I can’t wait to get the newest version so I can learn with my instructor with the one obviously he has as the newest one. I advertise your Lightroom to everybody. My journey with Adobe Lightroom has been truly transformative. After uncovering the app's remarkable features, I've greatly enjoyed the process of editing my photos. The intuitive interface has facilitated a smooth transition from my previous editing habits, and I'm genuinely amazed by the app's ability to enhance my images efficiently and effectively. Prior to using Lightroom, I heavily depended on the photo editing functions built into my iPhone. However, a recent survey conducted by Lightroom sparked my interest in the app's extra features, leading me to delve deeper. I'm completely captivated, and Adobe Lightroom has become my preferred tool for photo editing. While I haven't yet tried out the app's video editing features, I'm excited to learn more about them. Although there are some snippets of tutorials available in the app, I hope it offers more comprehensive guides or examples to assist me in discovering its functionalities. Adobe Lightroom is a worthwhile investment for anyone aiming to elevate their creative endeavors. I've been so impressed with the application that I've opted for the yearly premium subscription. My goal is to enhance my editing abilities and explore opportunities within professional photography and the video industry.

I’ve used Lightroom AI on perhaps a dozen photos of birds captured by a bird feeder camera in my backyard. In AI mode, I find it to be quite good at identifying the various elements present in the photo, such as sky, water, architecture, artificial surfaces, etc., and then providing me with specific editing options which are only performed on that particular element - such changing the blue tone of the water, the saturation or contrast of just the image of the bird itself, etc. It also has an erasing function that does a significantly better job than the iOS Photo app at replacing a part of the photo I’d like removed. Take the edge of the white plastic feeding tray that the bird is eating out of, which is essentially impossible to avoid being included in a photo. The AI is quite good at replacing the portion I highlight with something that looks like whatever is next to or behind the tray, such as plants or water, if it appears that what’s behind the white tray is our swimming pool. I was very impressed with the app’s ability to intelligently determine what might be seen or revealed if the unwanted part of the native photo weren’t there. All in all, I find Lightroom AI to be a definite step up from what Apple’s iOS Photo app can do, which is pretty good itself.

Load up your photos on your desktop or laptop from a REAL camera or phone. Create a collection in Lightroom, transfer to Photoshop and back to Lightroom. Share entire album within seconds to your contacts. Pretty smooth. Absolutely NOTHING comes close to what PSCC & Lightroom can do. Absolutely love this system. I generally shoot with dslrs and use several features in photoshop that Lightroom can’t duplicate or run. I only have the “save as smart previews only” because the don’t take up much room on the server and I can send the “collections link” to anyone I wish to share. There is a slider to allow the sender to download the smart preview. Most of the senders are family and only view on their phones or tablets. I keep originals(RAW) on portable drives and connects with saved presets from PSCC/Lightroom. This is still my best program for travel and family photos. I still can’t get away from focal lengths, aperatures available and picture quality of a real camera. I print and display my work at the office and my home . There is a difference between cell phone and larger sensor size. Physics still dominates , no way around that yet but, maybe in my lifetime ?

This may be my first product review, but I am very eager to share my experience. Thanks to Lightroom CC, I can shoot beautiful raw photos (in HDR), easily organize them, easily fix/improve them, and automatically upload them to the cloud where they don’t eat up space on my phone. I must say that I feel like about 95% of the time I can tweak photos to look exactly what I am hoping for. A major reason for this is the ability to highlight just a region of the photo and adjust the brightness/color to that region. And it is really nice how how the app also ties fairly seamlessly with other Adobe apps such as the two Photoshop apps. I could go on and on about other features I like and other minor things that just are smart and show Adobe was paying attention to detail. My complaints are few and far between, and I’m sure will get tweaked in future version. For these reasons, I am generally confident 90% of the time just walking around with my iPhone to take pictures rather than my bulky Canon 5D Mark IV. My friends keep asking me what app I am using for taking and editing the pictures. I keep telling them they should get this app.

The Lightroom mobile app is the best app I’ve found for effective photo edits on my phone. More options than you’ll likely need with ability to import presets as desired. I mainly utilize presets and adjust light settings or remove unwanted background objects to maximize photo quality and this is a great alternative to having to download photos to my computer and use more complex software (I mainly “clean-up” or lighten kids’ photos, photos for Christmas cards, etc.). The app is easy to use (can take a little getting used to at first, but just play around with it for a bit) but I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because some of the features aren’t intuitive to use and there’s not enough description to understand how to utilize them properly. I’m sure I could be doing more if there were better accompanying descriptions to some of these features. Overall though, it’s worth the monthly subscription cost to enhance my photos in a convenient and quick way and not have to worry about getting everything “right” when I take the photo because I know I can adjust light, remove unwanted objects, etc. with the app later. Highly recommend!

Lightroom user for over a decade. Love the integration across all my devices, computer, iPhone, iPad. I love that at a shoot, I can use my iPhone or iPad to shoot in the same album as my DSLR images will end up. In fact I always download my SD cards into my iPad Lightroom before I leave every shoot. I’m backed up as soon as possible. Then selecting on Lightroom mobile is amazing. I can make my way through thousands of images quickly - rejecting, starring, quite fast. By the time I get to my desk I’m down to editing “the good ones”. I actually prefer some editing on iPhone or iPad due to the speed and convenience. Then for the most advanced or detailed editing, the computer version is top notch. Intelligent AI selections of subject and background are usually close to perfect. I can then adjust just subject or just background with ease. The modern Lightroom has replaced 5+ different tools that used to be in my workflow. And it’s all available to me on all my devices or even a random web browser. I’m not sure I would enjoy photography as much as I do without Lightroom.

I really like this app. Only thing is, the subscription. They keep removing features one by one but as long as you make your own presets and as a beginner, it’s enough. So really the subscriptions is for those who want to dedicate to the app to make their photos better. Also the subscriptions are not as bad as it sounds either. They have their month to month plan, but if you look at the yearly one, it’s like two months for Netflix worth. Maybe three depending on the plan. Point is, it’s affordable, but I recommend if you are serious. It’s a good app for mobile and if you don’t have a good program on your pc. Also I want to note, editing photos is super fast and fun. Once you find a nice tutorial, it’s easy to mess with. Either way, I give it five stars cuz of the quality and experience. And I don’t blame them too much for the paid walls. After all, is newbies tend to over analyze things and having this paid wall helps with picking this or maybe go with something else.

I’ve been using this app since 2016 and I really dig how the most important keyboard commands from the desktop version of Lightroom (copy/paste settings, star ratings) carry over. Also the camera within the app that lets you shoot uncompressed DNG files (and triple-shot uncompressed HDRs) really expands the usefulness of the iPhone’s hardware. That being said, I still remember how the interface used to maximize the size of one’s photo when editing by putting whatever adjustment slider you were playing with across the bottom of the display and letting the photo take over the full width of an iPad’s display. This had the added benefit of giving one more fine-grain control over adjustments. Not sure why the decision was made to ape the look of desktop software when a tablet (and phone) touch GUI had basically been perfected (familiarity concerns I suppose). Another feature that used to exist but inexplicably went away is persistent exposure settings within the Lightroom camera module. Now every time I pull up the LR camera on my iPhone I have to tell it once again to shoot at -1 EV, when it used to remember that setting forever. Please bring back at least an option for persistent exposure settings! Totally dig the app widget that allows me to quickly get to the LR camera right from the lock screen, but that lack of persistent exposure setting has caused more than a few missed moments. On a final positive note- the fact that I can transfer full RAW files from my Canon 6d wirelessly straight to my iPhone (using another app) and then edit them with full RAW support in this LR Mobile app is top notch. So overall, great stuff with a few areas for improvement. Thank you for the continuing stream of improvements. Cheers!

Lightroom Mobile has really been such a great addition to my editing process. Even when I am on a shoot, being able to edit things quickly to give clients a sneak peak is very helpful for sparking that excitement. Where this app falls short for me is the ability to import assets or use plugins. Presets are an important component to many editing workflows, and quite honestly it’s an extremely tedious process to get presets onto the app (unless you do it through the desktop or web version). I don’t always have my computer on me, and sometimes I just need that ability to import those assets without spending a lot of time doing so. Not being able to use plugins is also a very frustrating thing, and is something I would like to see in the future. I also would like to see brush capabilities in the future, another thing most people use in their workflows. Overall this app works great and is fun to use when I shoot random photos on my iPhone or import from my camera, but I would like to see more improvements, because at the end of the day if I wanted to edit a photo fully on this app, I couldn’t.

This is a great app. It is useful for editing mobile images but also for editing Raw files. The full functionality and benefit of this app doesn't become apparent until you sync it with your desktop Lightroom catalog. This has been helpful. I did edit a good portion of a wedding shoot on this app and it worked great. It definitely speeds up my workflow. It's also great when I'm on the road and a client needs some images quickly. There are a couple drawbacks but they are mostly part of the cost of doing business with Raw files. The app is a little slow. I know, I know, this has been and perhaps always will be one of LR's biggest struggles. Hopefully with On1 Photo Raw coming out it will motivate LR to step up their game. So let's talk about we're the speed issues occur. They don't occur so much during development, it's during loading. LR uses its lightweight smart previews but for this but somehow they most not be lightweight enough. Even when connected to my 150Mbps internet and wireless AC router it would sometimes take up to 5 seconds to load a file. That's a long time. I tried enabling the offline editing option. It helped but didn't seem to completely eliminate the issue. The one other gripe I have is the inability to select multiple files when copying and pasting develop settings. This seems like and odd oversight. How hard can it be to allow me to paste develop setting to more than one photo at a time? All in all, this is a solid tool. A great step forward for mobile workflows.

I’ve had no issues what so ever for years. Even up until two days ago I’ve been able to upload my photos with no problems and now all of a sudden I can’t upload my pictures to the iPad app, and the auto import is requesting full access to all my pictures which I shouldn’t be forced to do. When I’ve looked up other people having this issue I’m assuming it could be a licensing issue but I pay for the license that would allow this. I’ve been really happy until now and now Im so frustrated I just want to cancel my subscription. Update: I did figure out a round about way to get my photos added in but man this took so long and I wasted an hour. I can get them in there but there needs to be an easier way to make this happen. I love the app, as I stated I haven’t had any issues until today but when something that should be simple is made to be extremely difficult and for no reason it’s frustrating.

I can take professional photos with my iPhone. I shoot in Apple ProRAW or Lightroom’s Adobe Raw and I have incredible color/light control. I can even manually focus on objects as well as control ISO and shutter speed. I can bring out the tiniest details shot with Apple’s macro ultra-wide lens, or adjust my urban city shots’ perspective from Apple’s telephoto lens using Lightroom’s geometry adjustments. I can easily create a cinematic look for my photos using the curves tool by adding and subtracting greens and reds. Perhaps the most useful tool in Lightroom is the selective editing: Masks. I use these to brighten or darken specific parts of my photos without affecting the rest of the image. Lightroom’s secondary color correction hsl is super helpful when I need to adjust certain colors, and the color grading adjustments add beautiful tints to make the look that I’m aiming for. As you can see, I can tell the stories I want to tell through my photos and the emotions and mood they create.

This app has helped me to improve my amateur photography to appear almost professional. The app has auto correct which is convenient when you are in a hurry or new to the app and haven’t learned how to adjust each setting. The AI erase is unbelievable and does such a good job changing or erasing distractions, it’s almost frightening! Blur is my other favorite feature that really takes your photography to another level without a lot of effort and it can be done quickly. The blur and other features have a step by step tutorial that is very helpful. It’s not perfect every time. And, sometimes areas will stay in focus that you would like blurred and vice versa depending on the plane that object is recorded in the picture. Most of my photos are of volleyball so occasionally the blur can be challenging because there a lots of focus points and fast moving ball but, most of the time, it works great!

Long before I found a niche in computers or fotography pretty much any computer programs you would come across for things like art or design would come in large, clunky boxes and with multiple different disks to run one program. You’d get the install disk you’d use once then the program disks. When Adobe came along you would have endless possibilities offered. Suchlike, fonts and clip art them borders, frames (yes there was a difference then) and background selections required the user to open the CD-ROM to remove “Disk 3” and insert “Disk 6” depending on the elements you’d plan on adding. I can’t tell you how many of these I must have costed my parents between Windows 3.0 and Windows ME But Adobe? Man I can’t tell you myself what a mighty reputation Adobe has ALWAYS had — you’d not believe me yourself, you need to go look up their history. Adobe was the “Arizona Tea” of tech back in the day and if you don’t know what that means you gotta go look that up too but to put it in context: Adobe has always been at the front of the line and computer users everywhere have long known this. When I began developing my brand “Solardisaster” back during the WindowsME years on my Compaq — see? Older than dirt — I have never trusted anything more than Adobe’s products. Everything else? Straight out the same window in the same bedroom in the same house with the same expletives as always.

Lightroom is hands down the greatest photo editing app out there, and I use A LOT of photo editing applications. I might run one photo through multiple apps to create the desired effect, but it all starts with Lightroom . If you don’t yet have the app “Lighty” you might want to check it out, too. You get free daily Lightroom filters that are legit. Being able to view other peoples edited photos that are shared in Lightroom, and being able to “copy” the filters those individuals used to create a particular photo, is unheard of…until Lightroom. I have been asked umpteen times by friends, family, and followers, of my Facebook page if I would be interested in photographing their important event, and when I tell them all I have is my iPhone, not a “real” camera, they are blown away. “You take all those pictures on your PHONE?” they exclaim. I tell them they can too, and direct them to Lightroom.

I use this app professional for 90% of my editing work! It has most of the functions I use on my desktop using Lightroom Classic. I’m sure one day through updates it will receive all of Lightroom Classic’s functionality. My guess is this will be after Apple makes the switch to all in house processors when Intel and NVIDIA is phased out. My one big complaint, which is probably not a big deal to most people, is when I make ANY EDIT, it can be marking a photo, making an adjustment, rating a photo, etc.., a notification pops up in the middle of my screen, covering my image, to tell me what adjustment I made. Even with overlays turned off in settings this little notification pops up for a couple seconds on each photo. When editing 4,000+ photos every week this adds up to a LOT of wasted time waiting for that little notification to go away so I can see my photo. Adobe, if you read this, PLEASE add an option under settings to hide ALL overlays and notifications. Thanks!

Started taking pics on a semi professional level seven years ago I am mediately began using Adobe Lightroom. Over the years as that application has advanced and features has been added, each new version presents a whole new slew of options for photographers. When the app came out and I realized I could sync my mobile library with my master Lightroom catalog at home. I was thrilled...but there were some very important adjustment settings not included. As the years pass, the app has evolved, presenting users with the frees and there are now a fantastic amount of options that come close to the develop settings on the Lightroom CC application. Adobe had done fantastic work with this program, always, but it's these extra things features if you will that make him an absolute necessity for a photographer. Thank you Adobe. Lightroom CC has been slowly catching up to the classic version in terms of functionality. But one of the advantages of the new ecosystem is the seamless cloud libraries. It allows me to edit my camera pictures on my computer and sync the best ones to the cloud for easy download and posting. One of the best features is the ability to edit RAW pictures, wether they are my camera pictures imported to my pc, straight from the SD card and into the phone files, or the apple RAW MAX formats on iPhone. RAW MAX are accessible as .dng and offer the full flexibility and resolution to create the look you want. Having the RAW files on the cloud also means you can make changes on the go if you need to or want to create a different look. The Lightroom app also negates apple, google, samsung, or any other devices image processing. Use your own presets and create the look you want.

I’m a hobbyist that kind of dabbles in all fields of photography. I’ve done candid scenes, portrait and landscape photography, cosplay etc. and I use Lightroom almost exclusively for my post-editing and retouching needs. It’s a very powerful tool especially when it comes to light and color correction on the editing side. Lightroom is also an essential tool for learning, Lightroom has comprehensive guides as well as community sourced tutorials that teach you how to edit your photos to effective finished works. Adobe is also constantly making improvements to the available tools and UI, making AI retouching accessible without a significant cost. It’s important to note that Adobe has an ecosystem of tools that work with Lightroom to help people elevate their work, and I would highly recommend anyone looking at this singular app to also check out their photography plan.

I love this app it works fabulous and flawlessly every inch of this app works to perfection so much so there’s nothing I can say needs work! I have 2 recommendations I would love to see as a user of this app for about 2 years now. There is a very annoying bug or something if you edit a pictures exposure in the app and then save it to your photos it’s dramatically different and very overexposed when it’s perfectly fine in the preview. Also I do some amateur astrophotography I would love to see the auto/manual stretch feature that is present in the windows version of photoshop and i would assume a lot of other people could benefit from this feature it would be a first of its kind as phones become more and more powerful in processing power! Please consider these features and fixes!

With 1-terabyte of storage it's practically unlimited; no need to worry about space ever again. The edit tools are similar to iOS photos, but on steroids. Flag photos: accept/reject/no flag plus a five star rating system. Organize your photos with folders and albums. Tag photos with as many keywords as you want. Easily search and display photos by any of these features. I also love that I can use it on my Mac and iPad too. Plus you get Bridge for your Mac which expands your editing feature list even more. If the monthly fee has you down, just pretend your taking one of the dev team members out for a coffee every month. Well worth it, this app is super amazing and works very well! You can tell it's designed by a team of talented people and not just one guy in his basement. Don't hesitate, get it today, you love it... I guarantee it!!

After six years of using Lightroom, I can honestly say it changed the way I work as a photographer. It completely transformed my editing process and helped me develop a much stronger eye for color, light, and consistency. Since I started using it, the quality of my work has improved significantly, and I can clearly see the difference when I look back at older photos. What I appreciate most is how much control it gives me without slowing down my workflow. Whether I’m making subtle adjustments or building a specific look for a full gallery, Lightroom makes it easy to bring my vision to life. It’s been one of the biggest reasons my photography has grown professionally and creatively. For me, it’s not just an editing app—it’s been a major part of becoming a better photographer.

Photographer here! I’ve been using Lr for 5 years now. The way they continue to add, change and just improve things makes this my go to app for editing my photos. I’ve done some dabbling with LrC and even Photoshop but I just feel this is more of my speed and cup of tea. I can edit and upload on the go on my iPad and iPhone and I could also edit on my desktop. There’s plenty of naysayers within this industry on what you “should use” as a professional photographer but I say to each their own. Lr flows so well for me and I’ve never had any clients complain not one bit! They’re honestly just overwhelmed with joy when they receive their final images. No, this isn’t a paid advert but hey Adobe if you’d like, hook a brother up lol all in all, I really enjoy Lr and I’m certain I’m not the only one!

When Lightroom CC came out, it showed amazing improvements from the classic version, and I absolutely love it. I love how it can create public albums and can instantly share to my phone, and don’t get me started on the user interface. However, I’ve had some issues. On the mobile app, when you allow it to access your photos, it will upload every photo from your phone, but when you remove the access, you can’t download the photos from the app; and you only have between the two choices. Also, I really don’t like how on the public albums, there aren’t very many settings, so when I want to show my friends my albums, they aren’t able to download the photos. I used to prefer this app over Flickr for sharing images, but it’s become a hassle because my friends aren’t able to download my photos. Anyways, pretty good app but it needs some improvements.

As an amateur, I find LR easy to use and would recommend it. Sometimes updates are frustrating. I don’t like the edited/unedited sections- cumbersome to go back and forth and feels disorganized. I wish you could choose how your photos are grouped. I also hate the color spectrum box that now appears over all photos. You have to click on the photo to get rid of it. Totally unnecessary and annoying. Also when sending my photos to save to my phone, it stores them by date. So if I try to send an old Lightroom photo to my camera roll on phone, I have to hunt for it by date. Sending Lr photos directly to Instagram also causes problems. Sometimes you cant add music on Instagram. So I always have to send the photos to my phone, then to Instagram. Please fix these cumbersome problems!!

It’s funny how Lightroom have changed my understanding of what photography is. Before it was you, your camera and the moment. And when I say the moment I mean light, subject, action, environment, you I mean your experience, mood, reaction and camera is your technology. And yes it was way harder to get amazing shots and only handful amount of people was able virtuously speak the photography language. With Lightroom even all this three elements not connected well I am still able to get back to the moment and manipulate it. There are still a lot of things to learn and Lightroom can’t fix everything but more and more people are able now to express themselves through photography. Lightroom is stretching time and space to reconnect you with the moment. Thank you guys!!!!!

This app has changed quite a lot over the past few years and has become much more capable, though there are some quirks, especially if you also use Lightroom Classic. Right now I’d say that Lightroom CC is functionally more like an enhanced version of Apple Photos than Lightroom Classic. A nice bit of consistency is that the mobile and desktop versions of Lightroom CC seem to have largely the same functionality and the web version even does a surprising amount. Features keep getting added so the level of functionality is continuously being upgraded. A quirk to take note of is that keywords don’t sync between Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic, though it seems all other photo changes do. Also, sometimes Lightroom CC will say that the network connection was interrupted and won’t sync when you first open it. Closing the app from the app switcher and then reopening it seems to resolve that. And finally, if you use the Apple SD card adapter to import photos that are RAW+JPEGs I’ve found they don’t always get imported correctly into Apple Photos and Lightroom CC additionally doesn’t always recognize that there are RAW images there even when Photos imported them correctly. Note: I previously posted that this app was corrupting some of my photos imported from my camera through the Apple SD card adapter as well as some taken with the Lightroom CC camera. Turns out it was actually an issue with Lightroom Classic. Adobe support reached out to me to try to find out what the issue is and I’ve been emailing them for the past few weeks about it. I appreciate that the team that works on these products do care about them working properly.

The recent update with the blur effect has really changed the game in mobile photo editing and for the premium price you can get some really great features and some professional filters

I love this app and use it daily in conjunction with the desktop version. Almost everything about it is amazing except for the lack of background sync of photos (Adobe, that's -1 star). Other than that, this app has replaced Snapseed for me since it can take RAW format photos and allows me to edit on the go.

2 things. 1, kinda wish I had the defringe tool on the mobile version like the desktop version but it’s that’s just minor 2, everytime I swap from desktop to mobile the watermark font is always changed back ti the default from what I had it and when I change it back in my phone it changes my decks top version to the default font as well and it’s kind of annoying constantly having to double check my watermark font

For someone who uses the desktop version extensively, the mobile version is slowly becoming my editing sidekick, when I need to edit content on the go. Great app that keeps getting better.

I almost exclusively use the Lightroom app for capturing and editing, but I’m not a fan of having features buried 1 or 2 taps deep.

The Classic Lightroom on my laptop has events editing function I could imagine, and is generally very intuitive. The app works well and the share function is descent. I gave it 4 stars because I think the annual subscription is too expensive… I don’t need or want photoshop… give me Lightroom and lower the price, please. And family and friends with whom I share albums always seem to need to access it via the link I sent, and do not seem to have access through their Lightroom app on their devices. I would think this should be easily fixed by Adobe’s genius programmers - please make this a top priority.

Long time designer and consider myself tech-savvy. Lightroom on mobile is fine—I use it—but they really need to rethink what it means to be a convenient, intuitive mobile app. My grievances are: 1. The whole import process is a pain. It’s like they’re trying to give you some pseudo-desktop experience but it just has me scratching my head thinking why is this such a convulsed multi-step process. Import photo? Launch Lightroom? Get over yourself, you’re an app. Look at how easy importing a photo is on any other app. The step-by-step parade of trying to give you the impression it’s more robust than it is is so ridiculous. 2. The filters. Is this 2012? 90% of what you get is blown-out, over-saturated, vignette or die type filters. It takes some serious digging to find something useable enough. Most of the filters listed subtle are still very effected looking. They’re lacking the nuance the other dedicated apps have where the choices are made for people who grew out of their Tumblr phase. Lightroom is supposed to be pro so it’s a bit confusing. Other than these gripes it’s nice to at least feel like I’m getting even a bit of my moneys worth from the ludicrous subscription price of Adobe. I do use it. But in my opinion they really need to modernize and simplify them UX by cutting out the useless fluff and actually invest in some quality options. Beyond that, what it offers in color grading is offered in other comparable apps with much more intuitive build quality. 3 stars as of January 2024.

First id like to point out that I understand how "heavy" this app is, and how much we're demanding out of these devices. Each apple raw image is at least 30-45mb depending - so I understand the processing power that's being used for importing and editing the way you can on lightroom is asking a lot. But it's been a WHILE and a big issue for apple users to have devices that instantly start heating up or become dim to the point where it's useless to edit. My phone was fully charged. I had no other apps running. I launched the app, uploaded 3 raw images, started making adjustments to one with the masking options and my phone became insanely hot to the touch. So I shut things down, let it cool, came back 1 hour later and as SOON as the image loaded up - same thing. It's also a hit or miss. Sometimes I can edit 10-15 images no problem, other times it's situations like this where you cannot even get through finishing one edit. Again, I get it, these are freaking phones - but if you're going to have an app available on this store, and have a paid version for it - you'd hope it would work a good majority of the time without causing any sort of potential hardware issues from overheating as much as it does.

I am a professional fashion photography based in LA and I have used LR for about 20 years and I gotta be honest it’s getting worse by the day. First of you just cannot count on it stand alone without buying and using other softwares in addition to LR. And the fact that it is a subscription service and I gave permission for them to see what my troubles are not improves they just add new gimmicks. I shot several fashion shows over a couple of days and it takes soo long to upload pictures and then download to my phone it’s ridiculous IPhone 14 current IPad Pro and laptop it should be stemless and quick but it’s not. Addendum Want to know how a client could screenshot pictures from link I sent which wasn’t open for downloads. Seems extremely harmed for program to export jpegs to device. The sorting of images even if you use keywords is garbage. Cannot differentiate between files I have edited on my device compared to recently added. Putting the apply from previous on another page adds another two steps to the editing process I either hit export or something else. It’s like people who are not photographers and do not use the software implement changes that are not improvements but little things they saw other apps do and they feel like adding to Lightroom. Like the blur function. I can’t see why.

To preface this this app used to be great. It had amazing potential for editing photos and was very user friendly. This all changed in a recent update. Money hungry greed has overcome this app implementing changes making it so to back up photos to the app you must pay for a subscription. What used to happen was you could upload pictures to the app and come back and edit them anytime you wanted. They would be saved to a gallery and that gallery would stay saved even if you deleted the app. I had pictures of a dead relative saved to the app but having the pictures available to me in a time of sadness was unhealthy and believing i can get the pictures back by redownloading the app anytime led me to delete the app. When the greedy payment system for cloud storage was implemented all of my photos linked to the gallery on my account were erased and upon redownloading the app all of my pictures of a dead relative, pictures i can never get back are all gone and its all adobes fault. I then purchased a subscription believing that i just needed to access the cloud function to get my pictures back but no, theres nothing there. This app will delete your cherished memories to make way for stuffing their pockets. I will be canceling the payment from my bank for the subscription.

Hello, I know I probably won’t get a response but it’s worth a shot. I have downloaded more photo editing apps than you can imagine. I have tried so hard to figure this issue out and I can’t for the life of me. So I’m really desperate at this point. Can you please tell me how to resize an image without compromising the photo? Lightroom gives you some aspect ratio presets. But, it doesn’t matter what I choose because it always cuts off my photo. I don’t want to do that. I want to be able to fit in the FULL size photo. If it means I could crop it into being a full sized photo, I would be willing to loose on the quality. And, I don’t want to put it on a white background so that the photo fits in that square because I would still be loosing on the photo. I want to be able to resize to whatever dimension I need to in order to fit the photo in different social media platforms. I know that a lot of these platforms automatically compress the photo for you but, I would like to resize it before I upload so I don’t compromise the photo, and it doesn’t get cut off. I have watch many videos yet, I can never get it. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could suggest what I can do to fix this frustrating problem. I would be so grateful!!

Just like Photoshop on my computers Adobe has its own peculiar ways of doing the most simple tasks. After using Photoshop for 20 years you’d expect to have little difficulty with the Lightroom App. When you use most programs - even an OS - there is no so-called learning curve. But with Adobe you are bound to be surprised when you realize how difficult they make it to do the very simplest of things. Adobe makes things difficult to show you how fancy or scientific it is. I just opened Lightroom and am finding there is no way to get pictures out of it once Adobe captures them. I can delete an album of Adobe’s choice but not one stinking picture of my choice. It doesn’t even have to be deleted just removed from Lightroom. There are so many apps that do the same things easier and better it’s hard to justify Lightroom. On my computers I’ve always had Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. Since Photoshop costs ten times more you’d expect it to be the best choice. Not unless you prefer doing everything the hard way. Paint Shop Pro is not perfect but I can do everything Photoshop does in a fraction of the time. I’m not even sure why Lightroom exists. And when it comes to iPhone there are so very many apps that are easier and give better results. The Bottom Line is avoid anything Adobe like the plague.

I absolutely adore this photo app and have been using it for years! but since one of the latest updates, you can no longer DELETE an individual image. Now you have to selects images from your entire gallery and delete the selected ones but you CANNOT open an individual image as before and delete it. On the help guides says to “open image-click Edit-delete image” the problem is that when you open the image and click on edit there is NO delete image option. How to delete an individual image NOT from the photo gallery but the image itself? WHY you removed this option? When you take 15 images of a ring let’s say, you want to see them individually to get a closer look and then delete an image if you don’t like. Now? You can see individual images but you have to go back to the gallery and from there select the ones you want to delete. Problem is that 15 almost identical images in gallery size doesn’t allow you to know anymore which one is the one you wanted to delete. Not having this option any more is time consuming and frustrating the least to say. Please make this feature available again. 🙏🏼

Honestly, I love LightRoom mobile, however it is highly unstable on iOS. Based on tests I’ve performed, it seems to become problematic under certain circumstances such as using it with a battery lower than 70% charged, using it with your screen brightness turned all the way up, and using multiple layers in an image. Some errors that will occur with these include crashing with loss of edits and low memory warnings regardless of how much free storage you have. In some instances, you won’t even be able to edit a photo due to this memory issue. Keep in mind I have a 256gb iPhone with 200gb free. Unfortunately the troubleshooting steps did not help. I logged out of the app, connected to the internet, logged back in, uninstalled the app, restarted my phone, reinstalled the app, backed up my data, reset my network settings and turned airplane mode on and off. In the mean time, I will be using it with a full battery and 50% brightness. Yeah it’s frustrating, but I can work around it. Such is life. I’m assuming bug fixes will be out in the future, so I’ll stay tuned and be optimistic

I was very excited for this app and been successfully using it for a few months now. My husband and I went to Aruba for our honeymoon and this app helped make our pictures absolutely magical and beautiful and all was well until today when I decided to upgrade to premium account to have access to more cool features. Once I upgraded I jumped back in one of the photos to edit it as the app crashed all of a sudden. When I got back into the app I found all of my albums and pictures that I spent hours and hours working on were gone. I thought it must have been a mistake because there were no warnings or signs that something like that would happen. So I went online in hopes to find an answer and to my disappointment I found an Adobe Lightroom forum where other people posted the same issue. Apparently lots of people had the same issue and said that customer support was no help at al. This is absolutely unacceptable and terrible user experience. I will pursue to escalate this to make sure other people don’t fall into the same trap, but for now beware that if you upgrade and decide to spend your hard earned money on this app it will silently and irreversibly erase all your old photos and presets.

I have been working as a wedding photographer for over 10 years, and I can't believe that after all this time, Lightroom still runs poorly. It always operates slowly, even though I don’t store any files on my computer and have ample space on my external drives. I also own the latest iMac and keep up with all maintenance on my hard drives and internet connection. Despite having top-speed internet, Lightroom continues to run extremely slow, no matter the settings. This situation is both frustrating and annoying. I had hoped that after all these years, this problem would have been resolved. With advancements in technology, I'm now searching for a better app that can perform the tasks Lightroom struggles with. I've heard that EVOTO might be an excellent alternative for photo editing, and I plan to recommend it to all my photographer friends as a viable replacement for Lightroom. I've contacted Adobe about these issues, but we’re in 2025, and Lightroom still can’t keep up. What a disappointment! I can't wait to switch to a more efficient program and see how much faster I can complete my work without the headaches caused by Lightroom.

For some reason, and twice in one week when I’ve gone in to edit some photos with presets I’ve downloaded (some of which I have had for years), they are wiped clear and the only thing available is the standard presets that have come with the apps. I sent an email for support and never heard back the first time. I bought a new set of presets I was looking at and when I downloaded those the rest magically appeared? I was worried it would happen again. Which last night it did. I had edited probably 2 or 3 photos and then I went to do another, and... gone, all presets gone including the new ones I bought. I tried updating the app, but no updates were needed or available. I tried deleting g the app, which I was hesitant to do, but desperate as I didn’t want to have to buy more presets. So I had to painfully go through my emails and find every purchase I made of presets from various providers and painstakingly download and create each preset. I have quite a few so this took me some time. Really frustrated by this recent experience. I would have rated it 5 Stars prior to this issue.

Wow. This is the first review I have ever written anywhere, on any site, and it’s warranted because the most recent LR update is beyond awful. It shows that the app creators have literally no idea how their app is being used. The ability to share the photo directly from the photo into Lightroom is gone. Why would you remove that feature? Now, you have to manually import the photo which is cumbersome and requires several extra clicks. Worse, all of my personal presets have been moved into a buried folder that requires several clicks to get to, and the presets themselves look totally different, as if they are not compatible with the new version of the app. Overall, I cannot think of a worse redesign for what was truly a great app. I would love to hear from other reviewers about any other photo editing apps out there that can serve the same purpose, as I can’t imagine continuing to use this app with these new changes. The creators of this app should strongly consider keeping the bug fixes and reverting to the old version of the app while figuring out a way to fix this awful mess they have made.

Getting worse. The desktop version is horrible!!!! EVERY UPDATE IT GETS WORSE! If I didn’t invest my time and efforts into this app, I would’ve been gone! This is ridiculous! You edit a picture just for the app to force close and you have to start over… I took my time editing this picture, just for it to freeze and start me all over!!? As of right now, DO NOT INVEST IN THIS APP. I have thousands of photos and being a photographer as well. After these updates. Still the same. EVERYTHING FREEZES.. This became the worst program… THIS APP NEVER WORKS PROPERLY NOW. Like what are we paying for?! Lightroom mobile is brilliant sometimes! It freezes when you’re using the remove tool almost everytime… but the desktop version is beyond terrible. It’s hard to find tools. Hard to navigate. Just terrible. No matter how it updates it still lags and takes forever to apply edits. You can’t even upload from Lightroom to your social media sites Getting worse.. Now the adaptive presets and the background blur is not working. Sigh.. what is going on with this. It use to be great app!

In the general the app works great, but there is a bug that dims the screen, even when the brightness is maxed out and it makes my device hot and drains the battery. This happens on my iPhone 13 and brand new iPad Pro 12”. This makes the app very aggravating to work with and useless sometimes if the screen is too far for the pictures. Also, there is no feature to merge images into a panorama like the desktop version. The logic behind this years ago was the processes of power of mobile devices was not there. But there are phone and tablets that have desktop grade processors. There is no reason that this feature should not be available. Update: I returned my new iPad Pro because of these issues. As a reply to Adobe’s response to this review, the issues listed above were reported in the recommended tech support community pages months and years ago, with dozens of people expressing the same issues. There has been no official response or support from Adobe on these pages.

Like most everyone I constantly send photos via Apple Messages app. As it's the most used feature, Apple even includes their photo app in Apple Messages first. So have always found it so odd of all the countless useless sticker apps for Apple Messages, that Adobe still hasn't released a Lightroom Apple Message App, which like Apple Photos, would just allow you to select photos from your Lightroom Catalog without leaving the messages app. Yes you can open the Lightroom app, and share from that, but just can't seem to figure out why this isn't available after all these years? Feel the app has been getting worse over the past year or two. It’s a very powerful editor but terrible as a photo organizer compared to Apple Photos. And syncing with Lightroom Classic is terrible since faces don’t sync, and still doesn’t sync nested keywords leaving Classic (aka professional photographers with no seamless mobile solution that casual users get). Been years and no progress or timeline on a resolution.

I’m not sure how useful Lightroom would be for me but I downloaded to give it a try. Unfortunately you have to bleeping subscribe in order to use the free trial, and the only two options are annual contracts for the photography plan?? Adobe please do month to month. I can’t commit to a year but would pay for a month or two to give it a shot 🤷🏻‍♀️ *** response to Apple developer and anyone else who cares: yes there is a monthly subscription — but I was told by customer service that it requires a years commitment. So it’s the same total cost as a yearly subscription, you are just paying a monthly installment. Where is the month-to-month subscription? We can’t all commit to the cost of a yearly plan - especially without trying the product out for longer than the brief free trial. I wanted to get Lightroom for my young niece, but I don’t want to commit to a year since she might change hobbies. PLEASE consider a month or even a three month plan.

I’m having three major issues with this latest update. First, whenever I open or switch to the app, I get hit with a pop up dialogue box asking me to take a survey. Even though I’ve already filled out the survey, it still keeps on asking me every time I go to the app. Second, I do not like the updated Export dialogue box as I now have to go through an extra step to get to export a JPEG which is frustrating. But the biggest issue I have is that when I create adjustment masks, if any of them involve using AI selections, the app will somehow forget the AI selections it has already made and make me have to update the selections. So if I use a preset that creates multiple AI masks (like facial skin, hair, lips, etc.) or make selections of my own (select subject, sky, background, etc), after doing some other edits, I will get a message that there was an error and I have to select each AI adjustment mask individually and then click on “Update” for each. A horrible waste of time. Please fix!

I love the app for the editing purposes, no issues there, but the camera in app is extremely frustrating. I have an iPhone X and I like that LR offers a camera for shooting raw and is my go to camera. However, the exposure is way off most of the time. It does not have issues when shooting JPG, but when shooting raw it totally overexposes, And I’m only using it for the raw capabilities. And I mean by a lot, blowing out photos entirely. It looks fine on the screen during the preview but the result is unusable. I frequently have to take the exposure compensation down to around -2.7 to get a useable result. And there is no way for me to know based on the preview if it will be correct or not. It also shows a snapshot of the photo I took immediately after the shutter with the expected result of what I think I took, only to find the file is completely overexposed in the library and often with some wild color issues even after I’ve used a custom white balance and grey card. Please fix.

I think this App is great. Even if you don't have the cash for the Creative Cloud. If you want to just do some photo editing or add metadata and watermarks, this app is on top! Unfortunately, even though the app offers cloud storage with the CC, its still the largest app on my phone. A quick search on the internet tells me I'm not alone. I think a great update for this app would be smaller res photos on the device. Yeah, the app has smaller res pictures already, but I mean Really small res. Let me explain: I don't do much photo editing (I prefer to get it right when I open the shutter in the first place), so the smaller "smart previews" aren't what I need. I use Lightroom to organize my pictures, occasionally I'll break out the editing, but its rare. What I need from Lightroom is the ability to import my photos to the cloud, add metadata, and export them at a smaller resolution with a watermark. I have the Apple Photos app store my pictures in iCloud, and my Photos app has a smaller GB footprint than Lightroom. But Lightroom has megabytes of data stored in its cloud, while Photos has Gigabytes! And Lightroom is still larger on my device! Why is that? If this is a bug, please fix it. If its just a difference in resolution between the Lightroom device copies and the Photos copies, please add a function to save "lower res images" (EVEN LOWER THAN SMART PREVIEWS) to my device.

There is still no way to merge HDR images on both the iPhone or iPad. I pay a lot of money for Adobe’s services, and being forced to carry my phone, laptop and iPad to get my creative work done is somewhat unacceptable. The price of their complete service just keeps going up, and my storage and ability to edit just stay the same. I spend almost $70 per month on their creative services and question whether they’re actually worth that amount of money. As a creative professional, I’m sort of stuck in the limbo. But as soon as I find another service that meets my needs I’ll be switching over. This is turned into what I feel is a money grab. They keen investing in AI, and that’s not where my creative work goes. And the AI is limited to what their terms of use are, and that should not be the case. If I’m paying for a service I should have full reign on what I’m allowed to create.

EDIT: Adobe got back to me. They asked me to go on their forums, delete this review, and talk to their experts. I will not delete this review nor will I do their product research and troubleshooting for them, for free. The entitlement and ignorance that Adobe’s development team has to send me that “reply” is galling. For a company to ask someone to delete an accurate and fair review that they made, is absurd. Goodbye Adobe. Don’t ever contact me again. I will not do free work. I paid for the monthly subscription. I’ve been waiting FIVE HOURS and restarted my device multiple times. None of the quick actions or presets will download to my device. The app just freezes and tries to me make me get assistance via AI on the Adobe website. That doesn’t work either! Adobe overcharges for useless products anyways, but dear LORD the loading times for the AI and the countdown timers! This is by far the most frustrating, useless photo app on the App Store. I would never use this app again.

I downloaded this “free” app but no features work without paying 7$ a month. Every time you click on anything (ex crop or light) an ad pops up for premium and nothing works.

It's most advertised feature is unaccessible without paying a subscription. Without it it is the same as any other photo editing software

With the recent update, my entire library got wiped. Presets I manually created, spent hours on. I had about 70 presets total. I use this app almost exclusively to showcase my work on Instagram, and having this happen was detrimental. The sad part was there was NOTHING - no apology - NOTHING from the developers. I had to go on an online forum to find hundreds of other people in the same predicament equally upset by this apps lack of care for its creators.

The app said that there is 7 days free trial. I subscribed for it.. However the money got deducted after few hours of installation of the app. This is cheating. Very bad

I love this app it's my go to photo editing software. BUT the app doesn’t allow me to change between languages without having to switch the language on my iPad entirely. This is a problem for me as my IPad for work is constantly being used in 4 different languages!! From my 4 coworkers it would be awesome if I didn’t have to constantly go into the settings and switch language.

Subscriptions are going to be adobes downfall. Now I can’t even crop?! Uninstalled and going to the competitors.

There is very little to this app that’s free. Even the most basic tools require payment.

I signed up thinking it was a free trial, but somehow I got charged CAD $15. And now when I try to cancel, it’s hitting me with a CAD $90 early cancellation fee! This is ridiculous. Very annoying that when I try to take a horizontal picture I often get a small sideways view. I have to quit the app and relaunch, by which time th picture is long gone.

Can’t a single app allow one or two attempts without signing up for everything!?

First : There is no pro Rated Refund option if in case you want to upgrade your plan. Second : there is no photography Plan in option. Third: if you try to get it via mac then there is Mac only Subscription again there is no option to Upgrade If you talk to apple then they say ask the Developer and if you ask the Adobe they say its third party subscription from Apple , we can’t deal with it. Left with no option.

I was a happy lightroom user until the day I decided to upgrade my phone. After syncronizing the apps and data from the old phone to the new one, I haven’t been able to access my active and paid for account due to apparently having made a typo when introducing my email address in the sign up dialog. After contacting both Apple and Adobe (and being bounced back from one to the other like a tennis ball countless times), over a month has passed and Adobe hasn’t been able to handle an account issue due to a TYPO. After taking my money, seizing and destroying my cloud data and not allowing me to, again, use my active subscription, the only solution Adobe suggests is for me to subscribe again with a new email account and therefore pay twice for the subscription. Completely outrageous, to be honest. TL;DR: I lost the right to use my active lightroom subscription and lost all my cloud data due to a typo I made with my email address when signing up. Adobe hasn’t been able to help with the issue after more than a month and countless chats with their customer support. I feel literally shaken by some mafia thug. A word of advice: just use torrent and don’t bother yourself with subscriptions. Cheers

I upgraded to premium after my free trial and the features I should be getting are not working.

It won't let me import the photos, I paid to have a premium and I can't even use the application. In response to this comment they sent me an email that does not even exist, terrible service.

Hey guys... I searched on how to remove or edit my watermark and its nowhere to be seen. Why is it hidden? Can someone help, all formus say to go into Sharing Options but it doesn’t appear anywhere in my app. Please help.

I did the free trial and now I am unable to unsubscribe. This app does not show up in subscriptions under your Apple ID. I am being charged monthly and still unable to unsubscribe. When told to report a problem / request a refund it states “does not meet the conditions”. Be careful when using your Touch ID.

It's saving me a ton of time being able to do my first pass selects while on the run but it's missing key features like colour tagging / filtering. It's also annoying that you have to make a collection just to sync.

Tried to do the simplest thing and this thing tried ti get me to pay, I just wanted to change one colour
