This app is the best for all types of artists!

Hi there just wanted to say this is the best app the brushes the filters and much more and the fact everything is adjustable to one’s liking is great and also you get to check out other peoples art which is great also you can write a description for your art and it tells you how long it took you to finish and much more also the unlimited layers help me a lot since it helps me decide which base design background or anything else and which one I like more with the drawing and the fact you can continue editing it even after your done also for beginners I know this sounds crazy but I recommend the laso tool you can get from clicking special and hit laso tool and enjoy using it for tons of artwork also if you make a mistake with it keep holding your finger pen or anything else you use and swoop back it will erase it! Also I have many more tips and when I finished writing it down I hit something and it kicked me out of review page :( but still I recommend for lighting and Rendering watch “ZANDER_TMF_MYLOVE”’s vid called “how I render” it’s really good also shading is also rendering most times just saying also my art has progressed and also I recommend sometimes using the basic tools for creativity and you could adjust however you like also this app is great for artist’s and is easy for beginners to learn and pros aswell! The creators of this app keep up the good work!

Best drawing game ever

I mean there are a million reasons and probably more why ibsPaint X is the beast drawing game. First of all even if you can’t draw you should get the game because it has tracking marks os almost any thing, and you could put a background in from what they give you, but you can’t use the tracing and backgrounds and all the other things when your offline. You might think that they should let you use to traces and backgrounds but it is a good thing they don’t because when I first started to play this game I didn’t draw I just used the traces and everything else but when i was in the car with no wifi i had to actually try to draw and now I never use them.( that is a lie once in a while I do.) For the second reason, this game rarely has ads like once in a while it’ll have one but you can skip in like 5seconds. You can save our art and then copy it if you think it is so hint you like and then you can also edit one of them but the other will be just fine. In conclusion ( because I am to lazy to write all the other reasons) you need to buy this game if you love art if you hate art if you have no feelings about art. My friend has this game she still uses it to help her in collage ( she is in a collage for art). So just trust me you’ll love this game. And for all the parents that like to read the reviews of an app before you let your kid get it well this up coming sentence is for you. This game is free. That’s right free and has a really good rating. And sense it is free you can delete if you end up not liking the game whiteout losing money.

Fantastic!

One of my hobbies is testing drawing apps, and I have had at least 7. I’ve drawn in everything from Notes to Procreate by Apple, but they don’t compare. I got it yesterday, and I already know the functions, and have made better works on here than anywhere else. It’s easy to use, free, and the only ads there are are tiny ones either at the top or bottom of your screen. No videos. It’s incredible. You get amazing brushes, and all for one ad. And you don’t need to spend money just to enjoy the full extent of ibisPaint. So over all, five star review, will not disappoint. (Ok maybe it will I don’t know your style) Edit: It’s been a while since I first got this and first posted my review! So here is a little update to my thoughts: It’s always updating! Some annoying things with the eraser and bucket tools have been fixed and all the brushes have been adjusted and some were added! It’s cool to see how much they pay attention to what people need from this app. Editing photos is an easy process, instead of having to do it in the photos app or Photo shop. Anyway, still a five star, I haven’t found any problems with it. But I do think that they should add a settings area in the main page, and a toggle that can turn on or off the function that makes it so when you go out of a drawing or your device dies, you can’t use the ‘go back’ button. I’m not sure how these sorts of apps work, but if that is possible, please make it so.

Used to be Awesome, but now It feels like everything is locked behind a paywall.

I use this for drawing and editing, sometimes I just like to mess around with the brushes. Overall it’s an awesome app for drawing especially. Edit: recently Ibispaint came out with some new features (animation, Vector layers, and the app being available on computer. There might be more, but I’m not entirely sure.) and obviously, that’s not a bad thing. But since you’ve read the title, I’m sure you can already know what I’m going to say. Lately, everything feels like it’s locked behind a paywall. If you want Ibispaint on computer, you can only use it for an hour a day, or pay. (Which many don’t want to do.) the vector layers are luckily not locked behind a paywall, but the vector tool is. Now I don’t really know what a ‘vector layer’ is, but I do know that it supposedly helps not Having things be blurry, or something along those lines. Now usually this wouldn’t be a huge issue, but it seems like the more updates ibis paint makes, the more things are locked behind a paywall and/or you need to watch an ad for a feature. The main thing I loved about ibis paint was that it was free, but now it doesn’t feel like that anymore. I’m honestly thinking of moving to procreate anyway, but if you don’t want to pay for procreate but still want to try digital art, then I’d suggest ibispaint if you’re fine with how many ads you’ll probably need to watch, and how Ibis paint is always shoving the membership down your throat.

Great, but…

This app is amazing. It has a wide variety of colors and hundreds of brushes that can make artistry easier and more enjoyable for beginners and professionals alike. In addition to the more basic features, it creates the ability to edit your drawing without ever using a brush with things like blur, perspective, smudge, etc. You can even use grids, reference windows, stabilizers and different shaped rulers [for all of those tricky circles ;)] It can be a bit tricky to navigate at first, and I’m still learning as I go, but once you get the hang of it it’s super easy. And on top of it all, even though many things that I haven’t mentioned are premium features, Ibis has an amazing way of both keeping themselves in the air and giving us continence. Instead of having to watch an ad for EVERY SINGLE premium item, you can watch a singular one and get all brushes free for essentially the next day. Which brings me to the one problem. It’s not even an issue, more an inconvenience that I noticed had appeared recently. Every time you go to create a new canvas, enter/exit an existing one, etc. an ad pops up. They’re typically pretty short, and I do get that Ibis has to have some way of getting paychecks, but it’s extremely annoying since I’m constantly deleting my messed up creations and making new ones. If someone could fix this to be less frequent or even just explain why this has started happening, I would be a bit more content. Have a nice day! :)

My thoughts on this amazing app!

I’m going to try and keep this short for the few apple users who actually read reviews. I have been using ibisPaint for a few years now, and it still holds up fairly well. it rarely crashes, the brushes are good, and you can even upload it to your drive in any type of file format. Now on to the issue of the ads. I’m well aware that the only form of money this app is making is via other companies paying them to have ads play on their site. Now I don’t mind watching an ad per day so I could use all the brushes for free. But now every time I open up a drawing, save a drawing, and now WHILE I’m drawing, an ad decides to rear it’s annoying head and interrupt whatever it is I’m doing. I didn’t mind getting ads when I saved a file or opened a file. But while I’m drawing, are you kidding me? You already shoved ads in our faces when we did simple tasks so I don’t see the point of showing an ad to someone who is trying to use your app. You are a drawing software it doesn’t make sense to interrupt someone who is trying to use your “drawing” software to make art. I know I said I would keep this short but I’m honestly done with the ads messing with the drawing process. At this point I would rather use other softwares like procreate or HiPaint. And if any of the devs who even read the reviews, Let me remind you this is a “drawing” software not an Ad software.

I love the app but

With the new update, comes the feature that really annoys me. Every time I exit the app by pressing the home button, or double clicking the home button to switch between "open" apps, the artwork I'm in closes out, and takes me back to the title screen. I used to only have to deal with this if I shut off my phone, or if my phone died, but now I have to deal with it, what seems like, every time I exit the app. I get that it might be for "saving" your artwork, but I find it highly annoying because when I try to go back into it, I usually find quite a few mistakes I made that I can't just erase, and would need to use the "undo" button; but because the app exited my artwork, I no longe heaven access to the undo button. I really love the app and all, but if this doesn't get fixed, to where if I do exit the app, it will continue to close my artwork and not allow me to undo, then I'm going to have to stop using the app and look for another one that will take me another five years to get used to. And I really don't want to do that, so please fix this. Also, one other thing. About 50% of the time when I enter an artwork, the frambuff 5, or I think that's what it is, I've stopped paying attention because I've gotten the message so many times, fails to load and the app has to restart itself. I'm pretty sure this is a bug, and can be fixed pretty simply. But, otherwise; it's a good app.

New to the app but I love it!

When I first came across their app I was watching a review of it and wanted to try it myself to I downloaded it I’m new to Digital art so I was still confused on whet to do but I am now new to art in General 😑. I just loved how it did a tutorial on how to use the app. It was very helpful. I am a gacha Tuber so I did need to edit some if my gacha club/life photos so this was helpful to! Maybe when I Learn more about the app I’ll get better at it. I also am planning of starting a business to sell my drawings so it is nice to sell Digital art work as well! I will say it was an awesome app for me as a beginner to digital art but I know that you can do so much more with it it just takes practice. All tho there was only one thing that was bothering me... adds the app has adds. But they Barely even come. For example.. if you are working on a art Peace for like 30 minutes and decide to take a break so you go back to your main studio but boom! a add comes. That’s how likely adds come or you want a new brush to pant with and it tells you the you need watch an add to get the brush. But yeah that’s all I don’t have much to Complain about... it really is a good app I really recommend. Yeah hope you liked my review remember this is just my opinion you will have a different experience than me we all have different opinions on things so may you mite give it 5 stars and I give it 4 but in the end it was a new experience. Umm.. yeah that’s it sorry for the bad grammar

Idk what to do for a title >-<

Alr so, this app is really good and easy to understand/use for pictures and etc. there’s many dif features you can use for Gacha life and stuff and even MORE!!!! You can have so much fun and this feeds your boredom if your bored and want to edit some things, if you do have that and are using a dif editing app, I’d Advice you to get this app and start practicing on it. At first idek really what to do, but once when I start practicing and watching videos about it. I understand it even MORE! I’m now a normal editor by using this app. TYSM for the person who made this app. I love it! Anddd... Ik people are talking abt “oh the brushes are not free you need to watch an ad”. Well first of all, not EVERYTHING is gonna be free on an app!! Second of all. The adds aren’t that long to get them for free for 18 hours! There abt 15-20 seconds, which isn’t long for to keep getting the pens for free instead of paying for gold or something. Third of all, at least you don’t need to pay for them the second time you watch an ad for them, at least there free EVERYDAY just for 20-15 second ads! So, please stop giving like 4 stars just over the pen textures. It deserves that last star (my opinion).. also please don’t get mad over my opinion or say “your mad over people’s opinions” blah blah blah, bc I’m not mad over anything reviews are all ABT peoples opinions not just the same opinions, there’s gonna be some hate ones and some like/love ones, so please don’t get angry abt this!

Honestly just amazing.

IBis Paint X has worked out great for me. I have been using this app for about 1 or 2 years, experimenting with different drawing apps. I never really got comfortable with other drawing apps, so I was a bit skeptical as to if I would like this or not. This was the first drawing app that I actually used before in my life, and that’s never going to change. I really love how iBis Paint lets you watch an ad, and you can unlock free brushes for 18 hours! If your looking for an app that can slide right into you comfort zone, this would be it. They have many different types of brushes, and I can spend so, SO many hours here, just drawing. Recently, I purchased Procreate since my friends had been using it, but I never really got used to drawing there. iBis Paint has so many amazing features like many other apps do, and you have no idea how long I could ramble on for. The one thing that surprised me the most was how quickly I got familiar with the app! In just a few weeks, I got used to the drawing tools. I would totally recommend this app to anyone looking for a flexible and fitting editing platform. This is honestly all I have to write, but I want to say one last thing. This app has GREAT quality without paying, and it’s just so amazing! The app itself is completely free, and there are barely any in app purchases that effect the app. Overall, I just LOVE this app! So sorry for the long review ♡´・ᴗ・`♡

10/10 Would Recommend

This app is absolutely amazing. For starters, this app is very professional to be free. Unlike a lot of free art apps it is user friendly, and the majority of things are free. There are some features that you have to buy the membership for, but those are mainly little ones, like the ability to re-arrange your gallery. You can even watch an ad every 18 hours to get EVERY. SINGLE. BRUSH. free of charge. And those brushes are not only incredibly useful for artists of all kinds, but also are fun to play around with. It also has just about every tool you could think of, the ability to specifically choose a color anddd save it to your own pallet, and you can even add layers and move them around, as well as change their visibility. You can also add in any saved image of your phone, or grab one from the apps own gallery. It also auto saves your progress, so if your phone randomly dies, your hard work is safe! There is so much to offer on this app without even having to pay money. The only ads you will ever see, (unless, like me, you watch some for free brushes), will be teeny tiny ones on the top that you barely even notice. And while yes, on older electronics it can be a bit buggy, the amount it has to offer is incredible. I really do mean this, this app is so so great, it will change your artist life for the better.

AMAZING with some minor issues

I love IbisPaint and I suggest that many more people should use this amazing app. I love everything about it. It’s just overall a very easy-to-use drawing app with so many choices. Of course it could be all positive, but there are some minor issues. The first thing is that the ads are pretty unnecessary and kind of annoying. I love the stamps, but the ads you have to watch are a bit irritating...I also do not want to spend money on such a minor issue so if you can make all of the brushes free, that would mean a lot. Second, when you zoom in, the brush strokes are very pixelated but I think that’s normal. I am not sure but if you can, can you fix it? I don’t know if that is normal but whatever. Something else good is that the app is very easy to use. Unlike some drawing apps, the directions are very complex—however, ibisPaint is the opposite! All of the brushes and layers are very easy to use. One other thing, the colour palette. Don’t get me wrong, I love how you can create your own colours and use them, but is there a way so for example, I have a light pink, and a dark pink. I want to put the light pink in front of my darker one. You can’t do that. That makes it kind of weird, because you can’t move around the colours. If you can let them move around, that would mean a lot to me. Again, I love this app and I hope you can just fix some of the things I suggested. No hate, no pressure—keep on working! Sincerely, An online artist of IbisPaint

This is the awesomeness app in the world

Hi this app is probably the best app you could ever get first of all you could make your own paint second of all you could do you like anything really easy to make pictures OK so basically this app is pretty good and all but it’s really hard to make pictures because people are young and they do not know how to make stuff and they’re not making any tutorials how you can make anything or anything so yeah I hope you fix some problems and future but anything but that I love is that it’s pretty cool and you could also add pictures that you never took pictures from any kid do you say and I recommend you guys putting a button where are you could get free VIP access and also recommend you putting a button if you if people want to delete one of their drafts then use a button for that thank you you guys report is perfect but not exactly call perfect everything is the steaks but I love you I can’t even make my IG‘s SC’s twitters Facebook account Picture but can I use some for my profiles I am just worried that they might sue me because like you do this so I’m just asking you if they will sue you if you do that or if you’re not but this app is amazing anyways so make sure that will be still having this up in the future because it’s the best #1 app’s 😻😻😻 PS sorry if it is creepy I couldn’t find the original one so I had to put the cat versions

My review duh!

It is pretty good! There are many helpful tools that could be used if you are just beginning to do art or if you just like using them. This would be a great way to draw on the go without having to try to hold a note book or drawing pad. I find that all users of this app will be satisfied. I only started using this art app about 30 minutes ago and I already understand how this app works! And in only 30 minutes I’ve made two pretty good looking drawings with color! I say this is a fantastic app that all art creators should use for on the go drawing; it is very relaxing after doing a whole lot of nothing and I know that this will be an amazing art app that people can use! Also you can look at other people’s art too, so that’s cool. In all this is a good app! But I only gave it four stars because I find that while I was drawing the thing that tells you what everything does randomly comes (it only shows up once) up and you can continue drawing but then have that in the way and then you have to stop drawing to press ok but then the next box shows up and it bothers me a little but once they are all gone you will have no problems! But one thing I also find annoying is that when you use the fill tool or bucket tool, there will be thin line that shows up a little away from the edge of where you filled the space inside the now filled area. So you might have to revolve that small line. So that’s my review, it is a very good art app and I recommend it for all art fans and artists that like to chill or are on the go.

Great but...

I love ibis paint. It was my first digital app to draw on since I was very young. You can say I've been using this for years now. It's also a great free alternative for myself when I want to draw on mobile. I absolutely love the feature for uploading my work to my clip studio cloud, and is rather helpful for when I want to move the art piece to tablet/laptop. It's a great app so why four stars? Well, unlike other artist, I'm a big blender type person. Unlike clip studio paint, I can't blend my coloring without adding more color and my main scribbles of shading/lighting just stays the same blob. Many artists found an alternative by using gradients and using the airbrush, but my art style does not use that style of drawing. The blur and smudge tools are absolute trash and only makes my blending look worse. Of course I tried setting up a brush to do what I want in blending, but unfortunately, it just does not do what I want it to do- Which is add more coloring when I just want it to make my coloring blend together. I just wish Ibispaint was a bit more inclusive of people with different art styles and add more tools, mainly a blending tool. They have all this nice stuff and brushes, as well as filters, but couldnt bother to add a blending brush? Im just asking for a blending tool, literally the only thing that would make me feel less irritated when using this app during my coloring process. If they add this one tool I need, five stars all the way! As long as I feel less irritated when drawing with this app.

Ok uh where do i start, first are the things I don't give me wrong I love the bucket but when you’re trying to get those hard to reach places and the brush is either too small or too big make the Bucket go smaller I know it’s confusing but make it get those little Spaces and nooks and that’s really all I dislike also if you could I know it’s a little hard but maybe you should really make more airbrushes that aren’t the premium And make or add more eyes specifically more closed options don’t get me wrong but I love drawing but I’m more of a traditional person and I can’t really draw on digital stuff but whenever I don’t have like a pin and paper on me I go on this app I normally just use the templates I always run out of options to use I’m so sorry if I’m talking too much about myself now I’m moving onto the things I like overall it’s just a beautiful app I don’t like that you’re greeted with uh when you’re in the options of going to your gallery or something else or otherwise loading screen I don’t like that half the other peoples art are just ai overall it’s an excellent app I totally recommend it to people who like drawing and that are actually good at digital drawing and one more thing if you ever read this you don’t like reading and you just skip to the end HIII :3

Please read. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿it’s good

I have 5 problems with this app. However my problems aren’t bad. I have some positive feedback too. Problem 1: The idea of an online gallery is great! Until it’s not. Okay. The idea of letting people post their art online for everyone to see is great. But people do post inappropriate stuff so just be careful. Problem 2: It’s the same problem as the first one I typed but different. With an online gallery it should at least be censored. Like I said people draw inappropriate stuff and post it but also there is a lot of cussing. So once again be careful. Problem 3: There is a subscription for everything. Oh I see you wanna move your drawing to match with the other? Buy this. You wanna make a bigger canvas? Buy this! (Okay not the last one but the first one is true) and it’s never a one time boom done you bought it now it stays with you forever and ever it’s a subscription. Problem 4: The same as problem 3. SUBSCRIPTIONS!!!!! They are so so annoying and it’s the dumbest thing like why can’t I rearrange my drawings without paying?? Like why 😡😡😡😡😡😤😤 Problem 5: The ads. Okay there’s not a lot which I am so very grateful about but there’s a little tab at the top when drawing and when watching the drawing video there’s one at the bottom. And I keep accidentally clicking it which is sosososososo annoying!! Those are my problems but I do have some good feedback too! The way of using the app is just ✨✨✨✨✨ the brushes! The way you can make your own color pallet! Mm just great! So that’s an upside thanks for reading! :3 bye bye

Best drawing app?!

I have used Ibis Paint since around the age of 11 and still do now as an adult, and for good reason. Every drawing has its pros and cons, and Ibis Paint is my favorite. It has many features that allow me to do make the textile-like art that I do. Although Ibis leans its features into the manga style, I primarily enjoy its many rulers and the way that the Transform feature counts every pixel that you move it in case I need to move something by the exact same distance. I am a very detail-oriented person, so this helps a lot. My personal favorite feature is the Kaleidoscope ruler because it lets me draw a perfect square and create eight-way symmetrical designs within that square. Ibis’ features are easy to learn. Although I sometimes use other apps, Ibis remains my main. Even though it’s free, I chose to pay for the adless version because it means that much to me. There is only one downside to Ibis Paint, and it’s the AI enhancing feature that you can use to sharpen your art. It is a betrayal to artists for a drawing app to include AI inside of it. I hope for this feature to be removed. It’s hypocritical for Ibis to have both an AI-blocking feature akin to Glaze/Nightshade in its premium version, yet also have an AI sharpening feature in its free version. That’s the only reason this was lowered to 4 stars. Otherwise, this really is the best possible drawing app for art styles involving different types of symmetry. They recently added the ability to have multiple color palettes and tabs to sort brushes, too! Every day, Ibis gets better.

It's amazing but needs some improvements...

I love this app so much, ever since I first downloaded it to begin my journey as a digital artist. However, as I've grown older, I've realized that while this app is awesome but I needs some improvement. For example, the brushes in ibisPaintX are great but a wider variety would be even better, also being able to import brushes so that users can experiment more within the app rather than stick to the same old brushes. Also, better setting for the brushes, you know, more options besides changing opacity, size, etc. Another improvement could be allowing scrubbing when viewing the time lapse of art. I know some artists, when they post online, add proof or wips of some kind in their post. I also do but sometimes I forget to take those while doing my artwork. Instead of having to remove layers in my piece, I could just click on the place in the time lapse to screenshot and I'm ready to go! Also, adding folders to layer options would be nice instead of having to name every layer in an artwork just to be able to find it again. And finally, adding a blending brush would be amazing. I have to use the blur tool and airbrush, which works well enough, but blending would be an absolutely great addition! That's all I can think of on improvement! Other than that, this app is amazing and an absolute blessing to the young digital artists out there in the world! Thank you!

Great but a few things

It is amazing! There’s a whole community section and place to find new brushes and it helps a bunch. It’s nice seeing comics made people here too! It’s such a great app and has many things to help with art and even has tutorials! Some brushes require you to pay, but you can watch an add if you don’t wanna pay which I think is amazing. Although, there are two things. There is no dark mode option, I would love for there to be a free option to turn it to dark mode and I believe many other users would like this as well. Lastly, I would love for the option where it changes the artwork so Ai can’t steal it should be an option for everyone. I understand that the app requires money and many people would pay for this specific option gaining them a lot of money, but I personally think it should be an option available for everyone. No one wants their art to be stolen and used for Ai. Especially all the artists who use their art for keeping the lights on, yet don’t have the luxury to get the membership. Those artists will have to live in constant fear of not knowing whether if their art will be used for Ai, making their own art they worked so hard on be used against them. Thank you for reading this, I hope you take this into consideration.

Its good but…

I love the game it’s such a great painting game and it’s pretty cool it’s the best drawing game I have ever seen❤️ it’s a nice game I will totally tell my older cousins about it! It’s a very good game to play when your bored and have no WFI. I usually just play it to practice my tracing because when I was little I would love to be a actor and singer and a good artist. So you can you use it to calm your self down because it really helps me out I’m just glad I got the game but one thing I don’t like about it is that when I’m trying to make one line it disappears and I had to reset the app🤦🏽‍♀️ (I don’t HATE the game it’s just that one thing but overall the game is great 😌) you did a great job on making this wonderful drawing app to help other teens practice drawing. It also helps me practice draw body’s because it breaks my heart when my little cousin get bullied by a group of boys because my little cousin is not the best at drawing so I draw practice drawing so when I’m ready to guide him I will but right now I draw for him just for those boys to stop. So this is a great game but it’s just that one thing💅🏾 but I’m not trying to be rude or anything and I’m truly sorry if I make you mad or sad you make you feel some type of way 🥹🙏 so yeah have a wonderful day or night live laugh and love ❤️ good luck 🍀

Incredible!! ♡♡

To start it off I got this app in 2020 its so cool and it makes me enjoy art I love digital drawing but this is a whole different level might I say! I literally never get lags and if you dont buy app-purchases then in Ibis Paint there's barely any adds If you dont buy it! there's lots of features like filter٫bucket٫you can use and you can look at peoples art its filled a with amazing artists I never get bored you can zoom in and there's lots and lots more but you can make your pencil or paintbrush ( Or whatever) and make it thicker and thinner and when I talked about features literally features that no digital art app has except for Ibis Paint I recommend for both starters and pros anytime you started is fine it got me motivated to draw because I usually didn't do that in til I downloaded Ibis Paint but heres the PROBLEM PART so please reach out to me so first of all im not a intense drawer so idk if I didnt uncover all the features like I say again but can you get a ruler feature idk if you have that yet and if you get out of the drawing like to your gallery there's a redo button if you like scribbled on you drawing but if its scribbled and you get out it doesn't allow you to get out so please fix that please reach out to me because I'm a comic drawer and do other stuff

Great app!! Though one minor setback.

Okay… where do I start? This app’s PEAK. like, it’s an absolutely god level drawing app. I went from using basic colors and the bloom filter to do lighting and shading to using multiple colors for one part of a drawing and normally not using any filters. There’s ads but they’re really not much of a deal, and usually the only times they annoy me is when I have to watch one to get the other brushes (which I still don’t get why the time limit was set to four hours instead of 18 because like only someone like me takes that little time to draw with them). Okay, time to introduce the minor setback… the bucket’s mid. It does save time when coloring, but usually it colors only 99% of the area you intend to color and there’s teeny little spots that aren’t colored. I don’t mind filling these in, but there’s more than just that when it comes to the bucket. There’s also times when if I use 0.3 pixel thickness to draw something, the bucket seems to think there’s a gap and fills the whole canvas. Gap recognition doesn’t help with this, as it just colors outside what you want colored rather than the drawing made with 0.3 thickness. So, really good drawing app!! If you guys could fix the bucket I’d be very grateful!! Thank you and have a wonderful day !! ❤️

Works great..most of the time

Don’t get me wrong, I use this app all the time. It does everything I need it to, and it’s super convenient. Even without the premium version it works wonderfully. I find that the ads aren’t too intrusive, and most of the things that are locked behind a paywall I can do without. However, sometimes I really hate this app. On the rare occasion that it glitches, the results are devastating. At one point there was a glitch where if you flipped the canvas it would completely ruin the entire drawing, this was unfixable. Luckily I had a copy of the sketch for this drawing, so I didn’t lose too much progress, but it was still so incredibly annoying. Even after the patch I’m still a little nervous when flipping the canvas. Other than that, the only other error of any sort I’ve encountered is a brush randomly deciding to stop working. This could’ve been entirely my fault, but the brush out of the blue became super small and thin, and is now unusable. I cannot find a way to fix this issue. I have one last major complaint about this app, and it’s how slow the process of transferring your drawings through devices is! I have hundreds of artwork on a device that I can barely use anymore, as it refuses to charge. I cannot wait for each individual drawing to transfer over to this device, but I really need all those drawings on here. It’s incredibly frustrating and though I understand the limited amount of drawings you can transfer without the premium version, I really wish there was a faster way to transfer all my drawings. Other than all that, this app is amazing, and a must have if you’re looking for a free drawing tool.

Amazing app but something changed it...

So I am quite an editor And as well I do digital art. I've been looking for quite some time for an app that I can edit with that is free and gets the job done with editing, and finally I found one! It was Ibis Paint X, I love editing especially with an app that doesn't call for money, until I found out for the new update. The new update threw me off... From when erasing and all the brushes have changed which I do not like. When erasing the brush gets bigger which I do not like. For smaller areas you would need to go down in a straight line (like If you were in a street) and the street went onto the houses and you just need a little brush to get some of the little paint off the houses, well that used to happen... But now you can't, the brush will be small then get bigger and bigger, so that's what I do not like. As well as the brushes, the brushes... Ah let's see here, well the brushes don't have their same style anymore really, like the Pin dip and the Airbrush they both have the dark opacity Now instead of when back then the airbrush would Be lighter and all and you could go over and over again until you like the opacity you get. Honestly I think this app is awesome and amazing, but I just hope they can fix this so when making art, things won't bother you as much. So this is why I am giving this app a four star out of five.

Awesome… But some things NEED fixing

I’ve been using Ibispaint for a long time and I love it. You can subscribe to comics and make comics, which I love. Most of the IbisPaint community is okay, and just saying, this has nothing to do with the app, but there are a lot of people who steal art, start drama or hate. This comes from the online part of the community. I‘m not gonna call out names but there are TONS of kids under the age of twelve who play this and hate and start drama. The majority of the community I’d say is okay, but there is drama everywhere you look. Sexuality has become a HUGE problem. There will be lots of fights about it and haters about it and its all a mess. Now, this is a problem with the app. IbisPaint will take down things that didn’t have anything inappropriate or anything really, and they will allow partially nude drawings that show lots of skin to GET ON THE LEADERBOARD. I would hope they would fix this. I also hope they add something that asks for your age and doesn’t allow kids under 12 on the online part. I would let them draw, but not get onto the online comments and posted artwork, because these kids are causing a HUGE problem in the community. I would definitely recommend as an app, I would just say to be careful on the online portion.

Great app, but about categories- (mostly gacha)

Don’t get me wrong, I love this app, so much so I even have an online account for it. But speaking of online… there are features like comics and illustrations, and when one of those things gets popular in a short amount of time there’s something called a “leaderboard” like for ‘original comics’ or ‘fan-art’. And recently I’ve noticed the ABSURD amount of Gacha comics (Gacha is a game you can make your own little characters and usually people take screenshots and make stories with them, calling them “gacha comics”) in the original category. I don’t mean a few, I mean like probably only 1 in 5 of the most popular comics are drawn. This does bother me because there are tons of drawn comic that don’t get enough recognition, and what people are paying attention to are screenshots of customizable characters THAT ANYONE CAN MAKE. I do have a solution for this and while it might sound stupid, Gacha comics and artwork need their own category. It would solve so many problems and drama, plus people who want to look for drawn comics can look for drawn comics without having to scroll through millions of Gacha comics. Please, just take this into consideration or at least try to find another solution if you don’t like mine, but I’m sure it would be very helpful to many many people, thank you for your time.

Best art app ever

So I have been searching for some time now for the perfect app that has all the features I need. I try using them, and turns out what I used was only a free trial, or there are only limited colors and brushes, or there are no layers, or the art looks glitchy. 😔 😣 My friend who uses this app recommended this app to me. At first, I did not want to install it, except then when I tried it, I was shocked. 😱 There were so many features. 😆 You could post art, share art, duplicate art, see your progress, add photos and make collages, draw with the millions of brushes, there were unlimited colors, and the brushes were just an awe! 😎👏 So I have been using this app for almost everything, but there are only 2 minor problems that took of the 1 star that I wanted to give. ⭐️ So, problem one is that when you watch your progress, unlike most video apps, you can’t slide your finger on the bar, and just skippy. But on this app, you sort of have to wait. I hope you guys can solve this problem so I could change that 4 star to a 5 star it deserves. ❤️ 💫 And the second problem is that once I use it for like 2 hours or something, it starts closing the app by itself. My iPad is actually very new and strong, so I am not sure the problem is from my iPad. 😐 🤔 (A pro is that when the app shuts, most apps would just delete your progress, and your precious art work is gone, but this app instantly saves your art! 😉) I hope you guys can fix this problem, as it is the one app that I would NEVER uninstall. Overall, I am very satisfied with this app, and I hope that you guys continue to strive! ❤️

THE best drawing app out there!!

I have been drawing digitally with IbisPaint X for roughly 3 years, and there is no better app. Actually, I take that back. I’m sure IbisPaint ( the normal one ) is better. But, I would like to recommend a few things. One being, it would be nice if you could edit the video of you drawing on the canvas before you post it online. I usually draw/trace real life pictures, and I doubt the people I’m drawing would want their faces online. Just a thought. Second, if you could follow people inside the actual app ( instead of their social media ) it would be amazing so i can just go to my “following” list to see all of my favorite artists. Also, it would be cool if i could change my name inside the app so my name isn’t plastered everywhere when i post/like things ;-;. Third, i would like to access my profile easier. I have to click on my online gallery then go to my profile that way, when it would be easier to just put my icon in a corner to click on to get to my profile ( maybe on the blue screen when you first open the app? ). Oh, and making folders for my artwork would be amazing. It would be much easier to organize and group my artwork. All that being said, you guys are awesome, and I can’t wait for more updates!

Probably the best free drawing software for iOS.

I rely solely on IbisPaint to draw digitally, and make content for the internet. It has a simple setup that doesn’t overwhelm the user with a bunch of tools from the start, and it has more advanced tools for more skilled digital artists. It doesn’t lag or stall (unless you’re drawing something huge, or there’s way too much in your gallery), and it’s much more efficient to use than many other drawing apps here, like Medibang. There are some features I would like to see implemented into the app, just as long as they aren’t rushed to be implemented. One such feature is an animation maker, or gif maker. I believe this is something many users would like to see put into IbisPaint, as Procreate recently implemented this into their software as well. It doesn’t need to be a full-blown animation desk, just something simple to allow users to create their own gifs/short animations. A second feature I would like to see put into IbisPaint is a feature which allows the user to download a clip in its entirety of an artwork being drawn. The limitations on saving footage go up to 300 seconds, and speed up the drawing a lot. Other than these two things, this app is amazing. I highly recommend this as a starting point, or just for anyone who can’t afford fancy programs.

This is definitely the best drawing game out there first this might look really confusing at the beginning when you start playing this but after your first drawing you’ll get used to everything and make sure to read what it tells you and you will be a master at it and make it one of them but some of the best drawing that I don’t even go back good but I am getting there I’ll probably join a little nightmares two in my gallery you guys should take inspiration from some of your favorite games and draw them and see how it looks if it doesn’t look good redo it that’s basically what I have to say about this app it’s definitely the greatest drawing game app out there even though I’m a little bit confused what are the nine dollar one what did you get the free one anyway this one is one of the best hopefully you download this app and experience all the great things that has in it hope this game gets really popular even though it already is popular this game is definitely something you should get and when you get it you will not regret it you’ll end up making a lot of good stuff you will end up figuring out with you what you’re drawing drawing art/concept thingy is what how do you make your characters and if it is all good just keep it you’ll keep going yeah yeah

Perfect for Beginners & on the go artwork for iPhone

I’ve been using Ibis Paint X on and off for years, I started using it in 2017 as a kid on my old iPhone 6, and it’s always been a great experience. No, it’s not as deep as photoshop or procreate, but it works well on iPhone and I feel it’s a little more natural and complex than ProCreate pocket (or whatever it’s called). You can import photos, use layer effects, and use a variety of paintbrushes too. As far as I know, there’s no limit to layers which is awesome considering this is a free, advertisement based app. I think if you use it infrequently like I do, and already have a iPad with ProCreate or Clip Studio/MediBang in it with an Apple Pencil and love that more, you shouldn’t need to buy the regular paid IbisPaint. I just prefer the convenience, and I’m used to the iPhone user interface better than Procreate pocket. I have no criticisms, it is laggy sometimes but the developers have made it run REALLY well on phones and it’s just…so simple to use for beginners, and it’s not hard to sit through the ads you are shown (which isn’t a lot unless you want to unlock brushes or exit out of the app and then reenter it, those two actions trigger ads to play). Great job developers and here’s to 7 more years of this great app!

This app is perfect for all who wish to be great digital artists!

I downloaded this app as a traditional artist inexperienced with digital art and I quickly figured out how to use most of the tools and other options. This app is perfect for people who don’t have any idea how to do digital art so well or for those who are professional in my opinion. There are ads, however not so many that it gives you immense annoyance. You can also use brushes meant for those with a paid membership by watching a longer ad once, and then you get to use those brushes and stuff for about eighteen hours! A couple ads are worth not using my money! I do have a recommendation though. Could you ibisPaint developers add the ability to report comments? Some comments are inappropriate or mean and you cannot report them. I’m hoping maybe that would be a good idea. I love this app with all my heart and how you can share your art in an online area that is mostly okay for everyone and friendly and creative. However I would add that sometimes there are gorey or showy artworks on there that younger kids shouldn’t be seeing. Kids under about mature ten probably shouldn’t use this app yet unless they don’t use the online part of it and just draw.

You might not care but you should read this:

So a while back ibspaint had (sometimes still does) have some weird top arts. Sure some of them are tame like just a cute girl with a wand. Nothing to bad. But sometimes (it’s now pretty rare I used to see it all the time) there’s some arts that have a girl with um.. very weird outfit choices (bra’s,swimming stuff, outfits like that) and so far I haven’t seen any of that! Aside from that the brushes are wonderful and I love everything bout the app! Plus you can now MOVE the best arts! So it can go at your pace now! Sweet! Edit: So I’m still using ibisPaint and I haven’t seen any weird top arts! I didn’t have such a big problem it’s just when I want to show me arts to friends they see-“that” but now since it’s gone it’s gotten really better! And I loveee that you can scroll the top arts instead of having to wait for it to rotate ☺️ for the brushes they are great. Some are useless for ME but maybe other people like them? Idk maybe I just don’t use to many brushes. But I do have one problem I think might not be able to be fixed- so when I use that magic wand tool it’s okay. But when I’m done coloring in with the magic want, some of the inside is pixelated, and it ruins the art with the pixels. But other then that the apps great! You should get it ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

It is really good!

I like how you can use brushes of your own with the QR codes, which you can get from google and Pinterest. Also, the app is best if you pay for the premium so you don’t get ads and you can use the custom brushes without having to watch an ad. Itll also give you the ability to use folders to sort out your drawings, so I recommend getting premium when using this. But if you don’t, it is still good to use because it is simple, there aren’t that many buttons, and you can use filters and body bases to help with your drawings. One of the best things you can do is you can insert pictures to insert body bases of your own. It is really easy and simple to use. In my opinion, it is a good app, but there is one thing wrong. It likes to spam you with ads every time you enter the app. Maybe tone down on the ads? I’d be drawing and mid drawing an ad or two would pop up. Or I’d exit out of the drawing to draw something else and it would give me an ad or two. Of course, there are only a whole bunch of ads without premium. This is an overall great app! I recommend using this app for young artists because the buttons are really simple, there isn’t much wrong with it, just the ads. Great beginners drawing app!

Great app!!

Perfect for drawing!! Great brushes and useful ones, too! They are all unique and useful. (Unlike some other apps like Procreate have easily less useful brushes) and they are free! Its very easy to get premium or just watch one simple ad to get all of the premium-required ones for 18 hours!! Thats so nice!! About the small ads during the experience, they are not really even “ads”. They are just small little pages that pop up that don’t require you to wait at all. All you have to do, is click the X. How easy?! Unfortunately, there is a lot of criticism and inappropriate art. Most artists don’t bother to think about children that use this app. In fact, some of them just ignore kids and what they have to say about the art. For example, im 11 years old and if i ever say: “this isn’t appropriate for kids.” They would answer, “so? Just dont look at it!” Bro, how am i supposed to that?? It pops up a lot and art like that is constantly being drawn and being shown. Its so stupid and just isn’t needed, to be honest. Anyways, there should be a way to turn off online gallery. Like, if you enter into Settings there should be an option to turn off online gallery. I know that there are probably some parents out there that think about the people that draw this stuff. They’re like, “what the heck? Why should my kid be seeing this?” Truthfully, that would be a HUGE asset to this app. Just head on down to settings and click! Turn off online gallery! Its always optional to turn it back on, but you can choose it on or off. Personally, i despise the artists that draw stuff like that, but, to be nice, i don’t say anything. So yeah. Have a good day and PLEASE do this!!!! REALLY! This is probably one of the most useful things you could add!

Absolutely great!

I actually discovered this app through a friend of mine who also is an artist, better then myself I say, and even in the beginning I immediately fell in love. The app is so easy to understand and get used too. It’s very smooth to use, even if you are just a novice in digital art, as myself was when starting. This app really helped me improve and it’s really easy to use everything, just watching one ad can easily unlock everything! I really have no problems and when I started getting into digital art I tried most of the high starred reviewed apps. Most of them were hard to understand or get used too, but ibis was different in both regards. This is a great app to use if you are not willing or can not buy a more “professional” app. I have only one request though. It would be great if you could somehow add accounts or just something similar to an iCloud that are mostly exclusive for ibis, so when you accidentally delete the app all of your work doesn’t just disappear with it. I remember when the app somehow got deleted on my phone I was devastated when I saw that all of the work went with it, so it would be great if you included a feature that saved your work, even if you delete the app. All in all though, keep up the great work!

Really good app! Small minor problems

While using ibisPaint x over the last 2 months sconce I’ve gotten it, I have to say that I really enjoy using this to make most of my art. It has practically everything I need on there (so long as you buy a few pens that you would like) but I’ve also had a few challenging times with it, such as the starter tutorial being a bit confusing because it would as one could say, bug out, and when I say it would bug out I don’t mean it would just appear and dissappear every few seconds I mean that it would actually just not be there after completing one step, and I had to figure out how to use the app on my own (not that it was extremely confusing because I figured it out pretty well) and In fact the next day the tutorial just popped up while I was drawing. But all apps come with its bugs as one could say and I do beilieve I haven’t come across any other problems (only the minor eraser stopped working and pen stopped working and then the app just shut off but it was just a glitch) so definitely get the app if you want something you can do art on the phone for or really on anything but yes definetly get this if you want something easy to use! - blu

Great... BUT

I think IbisPaint is a great in between for an art program: it’s not overly complicated but it has everything you need to make a very put together piece. I also like how the adds are minimal are not very in your face. Many other art programs are not like this... The only think I don’t like when using ibis is how it will freeze up every now and then. I usually just have to wait a few seconds and tap the screen, so it’s not too bad. This might only be a thing with my iPad, though. Overall this is a very streamlined program for beginning and intermediate artists! 10/10 give it a try! EDIT AFTER NEW VER.: I have recently been getting lots of pop- up adds. Both video adds and smaller pop ups asking me to subscribe to the add- free service. This has really annoyed me as the adds come without warning... the lack if in-your-face-ness from adds in Ibis is something I have always loved, as they were either optional or very small. This new change has detracted from the experience from me, however I continue to use Ibis. I suppose I can’t complain to much as it is free, and for being so still very high quality. I still encourage you to give it a try, but I didn’t think it right to leave a review from earlier that was singing praise about how minimal ads are.

I really like it! Just one thing though...

Ibis is a really great app. The one of best I’ve seen so far for a mobile drawing program. There is a lot of versatility in the brushes and the comic panel feature is a life saver! The only thing that really bothers me is you can’t name layers. I know most artists make the joke that “Oh haha I never name my layers!” but seriously, this is a big problem! Sometimes my canvas is too big to be able to see what is on the layer so I just have to try and guess until I get the right one and it’s so tedious. Please add this!! It’s such a silly little thing that doesn’t sound important but it’s really annoying not being able to organize my layers, and speaking of organizing layers, folders!! Not only can you not name your layers, you cannot make folders. Again, this seems like it’s not a very important feature until you’ve been using the app for a couple days and you realize just how annoying it is. Maybe it’s a premium thing and I’m writing this review for absolutely no reason but if it is please make it free! For my sanity’s sake lol. I use at least fifteen to sometimes thirty layers in one illustration and it’s such a headache having to scroll around completely unnamed layers. I really don’t want to have to keep a notebook that says “Layer 21 is character 3’s shoes’ outline” like c’mon that’s ridiculous!

I have to say, this is definitely one of my top three Apps of all time! When I saw this, I was so happy that I finally found this app in an ad. So many of my friends use this app and it is definitely worth downloading! If you are a Gacha YouTuber, An artist, or just a simple person that wants a place to share their art among others, then this app is perfect for you! I have seen so many good reviews about this app! Even though I play on a IPhone 6, it actually isn’t too hard, even when I was beginning. I do edits and I think that this app is perfect for them. The tutorials really help with beginners and they helped me a lot too! I have nothing bad at all to say about this app other than The fact that you have an IBS paint. Absolutely the best digital art app

I’ve tried a handful of different art apps because I wanted to try my hand at digital art and further hone my skills. I’ve tried apps that were easy to the point where they didn’t have half of what I needed and limited my abilities, I’ve tried popular apps like procreate which although it seems to have a million and ten different things it was to over complicated and left me feeling confused, overwhelmed, and burnt out. Then at the recommendation of a friend, I got ibis paint. My hopes were low, but after almost a year I can say whole heartedly I’ve never found an app I love more. It’s not to overly simple but it’s not incredibly complicated so it’s great for all skill levels. Springing for the premium also is worth it, it’s cheap at only $3 a month versus other apps which charge $9.99+, but even if you don’t want to drop the money, all you have to do is watch one add and you get everything unlocked (literally everything) for an hour or two. I used this time to just take a break when I wasn’t paying for premium. I highly suggest this app for anyone wanting to try their hand at digital art and those who don’t want to drop buku amounts of money on a premium art app.

When I first started using it I was obsessed, but for some reason it wouldn’t let me in anymore and just keeps loading and loading. The video ads are throwing me off in this update

I'm one of those artists who listens to music in the background or multitask by watching a YouTube video picture-to-picture while drawing something in this app. And this update is throwing me off because the ad videos that are playing on top of the screen is interrupting my music and videos. And it's kinda annoying. If you can remove those in the next update, that'll be great. Thank you.

It’s a great app and all, but

My only complaint is how the “free brushes for __ hours after watching ad” changed not ONCE but TWICE. at first, it was understandable. because like, 24 hours to 18 was no biggie. but 18 to 4 hours is a drastic change.

So I’ve been using Ibis for quite some time now, wanna say at least.. three years. And now the free pens are four hours, when they used to be eight-teen hours. Ibis Paint X Negative Reviews and Ratings

Ads, Ads, and More Ads

I’ve been using this app to draw for years, basically since I started making digital art. While the brushes are good, most of the them are locked behind an ad/pay-wall, though I thank the devs for not forcing us to pay. However, for the many years that i’ve had this app, watching an ad would unlock all brushes for 18 hours. This worked well for me, especially since I didn’t often need to use the function, since I typically used the free brushes. However, this has recently been changed, so that whenever you watch an ad, the pop up says “a certain amount of time” rather than “18 hours” and to be frank, I don’t think it even lasts two hours. Also something implemented recently was way way WAY too many ads. Sometimes, when I even a drawing, or even just go to save, I get an ad for just closing the drawing. There are always, I mean literally every-time you are on the app, ads on either the top or bottom of the screen. These have always been a part of the app, so usually they’re easy for me to ignore, but they’ve gotten to the point that they’re so intrusive, that when watching back the drawing recordings, you can’t even see the bottom of the screen. It’s so unnecessarily intrusive that the app has become hard for me to use. The only reason I still use it is because I’m used to using it and have been using it for many years. If you are looking for a new, free, drawing program; while as much as I wish I could recommend it and as much I would’ve 2 or so years ago; I just can’t.

Pro Reduces Functionality of the App

Ever since I switched to the paid pro version, my app has lost functionality. I have been using ibisPaint X for over eight years now. I’ve switched from the paid version to the premium version and now I’ve purchased a subscription for the pro version for the extra features. I have spent minutes waiting for my canvas to load, which is extremely odd as I would expect better performance from an app after purchasing any type of premium feature. I highly suspect that this is because of the large amount of canvases that I have from my years of drawing but I am unable to disable automatic syncing of all of the canvases. I hope this issue is fixed in the future because at the moment I am barely able to use the app to draw as it just freezes whenever I even try to make a new canvas or even open an existing canvas. I have tried resetting my phone and deleting and re-downloading ibis Paint, but there is no help in doing any of that and my app is still extremely slow and freezes whenever I try to make a new canvas or open an existing canvas. I hope there is a fix to this or an improvement in loading times as this paints your pro subscription as a feature that should just be avoided by your regulars as it causes more problems than it fixes. I also hope there is a feature to pin folders for better organization.

Good app for beginners! Free and amazing, but some flaws.

I’m only here to explain that sometimes apps too good to be true can be true. Just like Ibis Paint X, art apps can be good and bad at the same time. Some kids use this app like I do so that they can get a feel of how to use these apps for art. Art should express yourself in a way few people do. Art has grown into 2 main branches, Digital art and Handmade. Digital is my preferred method but both methods are mainly used for art. Ibis Paint X is (in my opinion) the best free art app. It has layers, imported brushes you can add, good brushes overall, and much more reasons of why this is an amazing app. It’s great, but can be improved in many ways. In my opinion, the ads can be decreased by half. Yeah, you should keep the gold and unlocking all brushes for 2 ads mixed into 1. But you should remove the ads from the top of the screen. Many people complain about this but I honestly think it would be easier for the top bar of ads to be removed. Another flaw this app has (for not updated devices) is the lag this app can cause. This doesn’t happen to me because I update my IPad a lot, but I’m speaking for others who don’t do this. Try to decrease all the main problems that can cause lag. That’s all! Everything else is very impressive and I respect that! - P.S - Please at least keep these in mind so you can at least have an idea of what you can do.

Amazing app but freezing up and ads

I’ve been using this app for years due to there no pop up ads and easy use and then suddenly The app keeps freezing in the middle of my drawing with leads to me having to close the app even i need to go back on something and these pop up ads are crazy any time i have to close the app due to the problem previously stated and re open the app a pop up add for gacha? Will pop up infront of my work it’s very frustrating but easy to deal with due to them not being videos then suddenly in the middle of my work or me looking trough my art projects a pop up ad will show but no no no it’s not just any old add it’s a video so i have to wait and sit trough a word escape ad very short but very annoying and the skip button is to small so i always end up tapping it and then when i quickly re direct myself back to ibispaint X it wont let me skip again and i have to wait a few more seconds not to mention on top of that i have to watch ads just to usesome brushes i had to import myself witch i used to not mind due to the app not having many ads but nowI’m just over it it’s a good app don’t get me wrong it’s easy to use and import brushes easy to navigate and figure out and my art always turns out good but these adds and not to mention the freezing up when I’m on the app is crazy annoying

Least Intuitive Drawing App I’ve Ever Used.

Everyone thinking about getting Premium Ibis should buy Procreate or Clip Studio instead I’m not kidding. If you can stomach the endless AIslop ads then the free version will work just fine for basic digital illustration, but if you want to take advantage of the fact that you are making DIGITAL art the app’s features are lackluster at best and actively infuriating at worst. I don’t recommend this to professionals or serious hobbyists if you can afford an alternative. The app is technically functional with the basic tools, but the liquify pen, lasso/selection tools, and transform tools are all so frustrating to use that they make me genuinely angry. I downloaded this app since Procreate has poor support for drawing comics, but comparing the selection/transform tools between the two makes me hate Ibis. I don’t need these tools as a crutch, but since I downloaded this app specifically to draw comics, the perspective tool being so wonky is a dealbreaker. The only reason I’m putting up with this app is because I can’t afford Clip Studio Paint yet. The eraser opacity settings are also very irritating to figure out, with the default settings it is impossible to half a transparent eraser even if you set brush opacity to 1% because of the “add opacity” setting in the menu. The inability to lock layers is frustrating. App gets 3 stars instead of two because the pattern library and filters are pretty cool. This last bit is my most personal gripe but I also don’t like the UI being a button menu at the bottom of the screen, especially with finger drawing on by default.

S. Harper-MarcelVersion: 13.1.4
Yeah it’s ok

I mean it’s definitely not better to procreate and in my opinion it doesn’t really compare but it does have all the basic material needed to make art productively. There are tons and tons of ads and it really starts to get annoying after a while because it gets to the point where you can’t do anything without watching an ad to unlock smt. I like how it’s accessible on phone how you can view the gallery within one click it’s a nice display so great job on that. I would seriously recommend Procreate instead although it does cost an additional 10 dollars, it is much much more professional than Ibis. Ibis does come with modles but again most of them make you watch advertisements to “unlock them”. I don’t know if there’s a dark or light mode or something but procreate is automatically set to dark and it’s just much easier to look at and doesn’t hurt or strain my eyes while this one kind of confuses me especially on the phone since there are so many buttons and symbols and although I went through the entire tutorial I’m still unclear about a few things. But at least they have a tutorial, since procreate doesn’t. Procreate has an official website that will tell you how to do things and I’m still trying to figure out all the hacks and tricks on procreate along with ibis paint. Just a heads up, Ibis Paint and Ibis Paint X or whatever it’s called are literally the same thing but the one that costs money removes the ads. If your willing to spend a couple dollars on a drawing app I’d still suggest for you to just spend $10 on procreate, it’s much more professional and has a bunch of easier methods and is just overall more captivating then Ibis.
