Please start telling the truth in your adsI downloaded this game thinking the complete opposite of what the game is actually about. This game is about rebuilding the garden of his childhood. You complete furniture with collecting starts. You collect these starts from a mini game very similar to candy crush but it’s related to the garden. But let’s get to the point. I downloaded this game from an ad. There are many ads saying that you either, save him and the girl from Antarctica, or you have to save the house with out failing, or save the garden without getting a fail. All the ads make the person fail but making it really easy to chose the correct answers. Me and my friend decided to try this game for my little sister to play. Without even thinking how some of the ads don’t even go with the point of the game. Later on it was downloaded and my sister had no idea what to do. I then knew that the ads where straight clickbait so this game could grown even more! These ads are even used in their game Home Scapes. Other than the ads clickbaited probably many people, this game gets a 3 star. Not a 4 or a 5 because of how difficult the levels are to get starts, it can take days to finish some. At the start it was easy but then the challenge came where I was stuck on for many many days! Any way that my review. Mom, Counselor, GardenscaperI’m almost to level 10,000. The game has slowed down a bit. There are some levels that are pretty hard and I’ll spend weeks on them, or buy the power up disk with extra firecrackers. This game got me through graduate school. It gave me the mental break I needed to refocus and get back to work. I wish a couple of things were different. There used to be a place we could pick to watch ads to get more money. On a hard level, I’d spend days getting more coins through ads and more power ups and now I cannot have the ads. It would build up to lots of power ups and 900 coins so I could have extra lives and finally beat a level that took so long. It’s not something I thought about for a long time because I would just play this game, but I recently downloaded another game and there are tons of Gardenscapes ads. We don’t have ads…but you advertise. Another thing, why aren’t your loyal players given the chance to play mini games? I want to help the lady and her daughter stay warm after that jerk face ex ran off to marry someone else. The’ve never shown up in my play. All we have are those excursions that are impossible to beat without lots of money. I spend around $10 a month on my payday to play your game. I’ve been playing about 5 years and I did try to start a new edition of the game on the iPad so I could play mini games but it was so frustrating to start over. PLEASE HELP!I have been obsessed with this app for around 2 months now, playing almost every day and really enjoying the gameplay and story. However, I’ve run into this small tiny game glitch that is driving me so crazy - I don’t even want to open the app anymore! Developers, PLEASE HELP! Around level 415, in the maze area of the garden, once you start planting new shrubs in the maze you get three options. This is how every customizable decoration or plant is presented- however after you pick one you have always had the option to go back and change it (to one of the other 2 options.) I’ve gotten used to this format, and often pick the first option knowing I can go back and change it without really looking at the other options (just to move the story along.) HOWEVER - when planting the maze shrubs you are presented three options and with NO WARNING, after your first selection you cannot go back and change the customization. I’m so upset because the shrub type I selected first looks so different from the rest of my garden so far, completely different color, and whenever I open the app I get so frustrated I wasn’t warned of it all!! I hate how it looks!!! After a google I realized this isn’t just a glitch on my own app and read that others had a similar frustrating moment. Developers, I know this is small, but I don’t want to lose the fun of my new favorite game due to this! I’m so frustrated I’m writing my first appstore review! Great game…but could be AWESOMEI really enjoy this game with beautiful graphics, thoughtful stories, and appreciate no ads. But I agree with others’ feedback: hard levels shouldn’t take days to beat, I miss the mini games (which are what I thought I was getting as the game, based on the ads that brought me to it), and the adventures seem impossible to beat without spending cash (let alone completing both the path and the collections). All power-ups should be chosen from within the level—as you play (not before you start the level and don’t know what you’re facing or will need). ‘Challenge’ levels should be optional (without saving special boosters, most are just a waste of life). Rewards of timed unlimited lives should be “banked” like bombs, where you have to choose when to use them—not automatically applied. This is a BIG problem! Sometimes you only have 5-10 minutes to play and can’t use another 10-60+ minutes of free lives at that moment. Wasted! I play on my phone so just touching the screen “accepts” them before I can even leave the app. Helping strangers with free lives or team rewards is cool, but you shouldn’t be competing *against* them for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place rewards! My team has become few and less active, so I’m mostly here playing solo with an extra 1-2 free lives. I didn’t choose this as a competitive game, or team effort game, so making it harder with less free help for solo play is one of the things that may cause me to quit..DeannGamesVersion: 8.3.0

This game was totally different in the adsOK, so I download this game a couple months ago because I kept seeing it all over and I’m like I’ll try it. Why not but completely different me wrong. I love it. I love the graphic designs on it. It’s beautiful, but I’m not a big fan of it I mean, yes you do get to play some of the mini games it shows on the ad itself but only a little bit. My mom also has scam and I guess she thought it was different but it is puzzling but not as puzzling as I like it. I like my games challenging, but I’m not big fan of doing this to me, but I do want to ask her and once I ask her, I’ll check back but this game is although super fun. It is calming and relaxing, but I do wish the game was a bit more interesting the games that shows on the ad itself but I just don’t like games that are like shows you different things on the ads to make a game seem interesting and says that it’s like the same thing when you download the game I think they’re doing that so they can get more people hooked onto the game and I don’t say no ads, there are fullscreen ads all the time and some of my games and it’s annoying. Pretty GoodIt’s a great game and I did not get it from looking at the adds my sister has been playing for years and has a really big garden so she suggested it to me. But now that I see the adds it’s kind of a scam for one thing the stuff they show on ads are mini games and people only have them every 10-20 levels plus the mini games are not nearly as fun or long as they seem to be most of the time when I beat a normals level it either gives me a super hard level that I get stuck on or it keeps giving me easier levels so that you finally get stuck on a level. If you download Gardenscapes it may seem easy at first but it gets harder and harder every day take it from me I’m on level 519 and most of the time I open the app I get stuck on a level and trust me I’m not a bad player I have tons of match games that I’m on a high level in but for some reason Gardenscapes is the hardest. Right now I’m stuck on a level. A good thing about Gardenscapes is that it has a lucky spin every day most of the time you get pretty good stuff depending on the level you use it. But sometimes they have fun seasons that give you better and better rewards every time you beat a level but the minute you lose one they all disappear which is pretty annoying especially when you’re on a level that gives you 3 stars when you beat it ( those levels are always hard but when you have tons of rewards and lose it’s really annoying.)..B1lly GoatVersion: 7.9.0

Fun but ends up frustratingI have been playing this game for months now and really enjoyed it in the beginning. As with most people these type games they start easy and you feel good watching your gardens become beautiful. My problem is that when I win challenges and come in the top spots and receive time rewards the game seems to be rigged so that you end up with a level that takes up all the time you have won. I came in first on one of the fireworks challenges and was awarded 3 hours, the first hour I was winning levels but had to use extra items. Once those extra items were gone then I was stuck on same level for the rest of my time. This is not the first time this has happened and I find this to be extremely frustrating as you know that the only way you will make it through is to spend real money. I have quit so many games like this for that reason. I understand developers need to make money on the games but they need to come up with a way that will keep them having loyal players. I really do enjoy the game and the graphics are great but when I have to spend real cash to win that is when the time comes for me to delete the game. Not all of us players can afford to dish out cash so the ones who do are the ones who end up winning the challenges as the game progresses and that is unfair to everyone else. It’s not bad, but NOTHING LIKE THE ADDS… 😭Okay so this game is super fun I’ve been playing it for a few years now , but my one and only complaint is that this game is nothing like it shows in the adds you can only do what is shown in the adds in the mini games , which isn’t really fair because even the icon of the game has a picture of the mini games and that picture doesn’t really show how the mini games really go . The game is about helping a gardener restore his childhood home and also I’ve seen ads that say this game needs no WiFi and has no ads . That is not true , maybe Playrix, the developer could keep this game , change the icon maybe and if possible make another game that’s jsut as shown in the ads with a different name and icon and different ads Update: this is just my perspective of the game and what I would like , possibly not your idea of the game, and I would love a response from the developer, Playrix but I overall absolutely love this game. Friendly critique from the obsessed:I play this non stop at times. I like that it’s not so easy so you have to keep trying sometimes to beat the levels, and I like how they switch up the games and difficulty as you go. I tried playing candy crush but I like this better because you can decorate things and make your your own little place in between playing the games. (Candy crush does have you beat with its textured, shiny eyeball-addictive graphics for game pieces though!) One thing I don’t like as much is that it’s kind of lame when the things to do with the stars are a bunch of little things just to make the story go- like get the ad, dial the phone, etc- I wish there were more little decoration things to choose instead, even if they were just small little things it would be neater- maybe some of the story line things could just happen automatically after you beat certain levels. My favorite is picking out flowers and trees :) Maybe instead of bunching the flower groups together and spreading out the places they go for each action when you get to plant stuff (like 1/3, 2/3, 3/3) you could choose to plant one flower at a time over the whole area they’ll go and for each action you could pick out the individual flower you’ll have in the mix so the action could still be spread over 3 times or whatever, but you get more choices on what goes together :) 🌺🍁🌼🌿 I appreciate how it used to cost coins to switch things if you change your mind and now it doesn’t. Needs some updatesThis game is addicting, and it has its perks. It’s more interactive than other matching games and the garden graphics and storyline is super cute. However it is bit racist at times and could use a moral shift… and there are certain levels that simply cost you to pass them. You can either play them 100 times or spend $$ on coins to get past them; I do feel as if they toss them in so you will buy coins. I’m all for supporting a game but I’d rather pay $5 up front than feel worthless because I can’t beat a level without help. ** the mini side games are fun they take you on little adventures where you get to help a friend with a task. In the beginning the “cost” of things is manageable but the inflation reminds me too much of the American economy. Things cost 10x the amount of lightning bolts but we still only get 2-5 a level 😒. So again you can’t find out the end without paying dollars. !* there are annoying glitches! I can’t tell you how many times I try and switch a bomb to the right and the game shifts it left so it doesn’t hit that strategic gnome. Or! When it’s all greedy on it’s suggested match and I want to make a different match that will actually help the progress of the level and it won’t let me, it’s like my fingers don’t exist. 🫥. I absolutely love this game😍I love that they’ve added additional ways to earn more rewards! I am not thrilled however with the fact that you still have to purchase the coins you earn from the safe when they have the sale going on 🙄. Yes it is at a discount but when you beat a level the payout in coins doesn’t match the cost it takes to beat the really difficult levels that are intentionally harder than the average levels which a lot of times require you to use your coins you’ve already accumulated. Then the purchase price of the items you may need to beat the levels designed to be harder which are labeled on the levels are ridiculous. Which in turn you end up going through your coins pretty fast and can become a little frustrating because it takes so long to accumulate the coins needed since the reward for beating the levels in the first place do not match the levels. I’m on level 500 and I am still earning same amount of coins as I did in beginning of game from early levels. That to me makes no sense. I feel the further you get the greater the rewards should be. But the fact is that it can be so addicting to keep playing that aside from the drawback of the coins/rewards I still keep playing 😅. What can I say other than I really love this game! I do hope to see improvements in the near future (hopefully next update 😉). I do believe it would draw more people to want to play the game as well as keep the ones who already do to continue to do so. And of course become even more rewarding to those loyal players of this game who continue to play in spite of the small payout of coins. Pretty 🤩 good 👍🏼 gameOk so pls read the whole thing. So first the game is NOTHING like the adds!! You hardly ever help the people and u only do that in the mini games. I love ❤️ this game anyway though, u can really make yur garden yur own!! THERE ARE NO ADDS!!!! And they do not typically lie about how hard a level is!! Some of the levels are too hard though!! But I definitely recommend this game, it’s really fun 🤩. I also love 💕 making my name as realistic or as crazy as I want!! You can also join or create a team!! The only thing about that though is that you have to spend coins in the game to create yur team like come on!!! They recently did an update on the game and it did more bad than good, so I had an avatar that I loved 🥰, but with the update, they got rid of it 😡, I am super annoyed 😑 with that so pls undo that. They keep updating the game and it is not doing anything!!! There used to be cool avatars but they took away the part that lets you get one after every garden area😡 which also took away all the ones that you collected.! I also don’t like that if you close the game in the middle of the level, it makes you lose everything you had and makes you start over the level!!! Good Game, But I Have ConcernsI purchased this game and really enjoy playing it. I ended up buying the season pass, and one other bundle, so I could play a bit more of the content. Well as it would turn out, that may have been a bad idea. I noticed after my first purchase that it seemed like the game suddenly became a bit harder. Then I made the season pass purchase and it’s as if it was ramped up to 10. Suddenly I was never getting unlimited lives perks anymore. Suddenly I was constantly unable to complete the puzzles in the allotted amount of lives. Suddenly, I never had any coins. Suddenly I was always out of energy. And it was always the same prompt. Spend another X amount to get more coins. So I finally decided to test a theory. I played through a level with the allotted amount of moves, mostly making stupid moves just to intentionally run out of tries, and when I ran out I purchased 5000 coins for something like 7.99 and received 35 “extra” tries on the level. Sure enough, one move basically clears the whole board, and the level is complete. I essentially spent 7.99 for the game to allow me to complete the puzzle. Prior to that I had been trying to complete it without paying for almost 24 hrs, but as soon as I spent the money, boom!, beat it in one additional move. And those extra moves didn’t cross over either, so they are just gone..ChriszilligVersion: 8.4.1

Love this gameThe game is great so many things to do I love how it’s not your everyday puzzle game. You finish a puzzle and get stars and actually get to do something like making the garden beautiful. I do wish there were easier ways to get money to buy the extra garden designs examples the fairytale and Greek looking garden options or drop the price because over 8000 for some will take forever to get also it’d be nice for more options of getting lives not everyone has friends that can send lives to them or can get into one of those alliances with a lot of active people so I think a way to get lives easier would be nice I get so into the game then get stuck waiting thirty minutes just for one life. I love the game though other than that I definitely can’t complain it’s so much fun. I also love how they give you chances to change the house I think we should get an option to paint the house the colors we want also it’ll give it even more of our own personal touch to the house when not using the holiday themes. Best gameI’ve been playing this game for five years since I was pregnant with my five year old! This and Homescapes I downloaded when they came out and every penny spent has been worth it. I love the golden tickets and I’m looking forward to another holiday season full of decorations and new challenges! I play every day and spin the daily wheel everyday for five years and I’ve only hit the jackpot twice so that’s a little rigged. I think the reward for people who play daily should be greater and those who spend money. Maybe offer a yearly golden ticket package? 25 for the year? I would buy that for sure. Plus I’ve only finished a few room renovations and a few golden tickets and again I play everyday and I think I’m pretty good, so I don’t want it to be too easy but maybe offer more unlimited power ups during those events. Those help so much but sometimes even if I have all three going unlimited for 15 minutes I only get through one super hard level and they are wasted on one level. Just a few suggestions for ya. But overall this and Homescapes are amazing games that literally help me relax and clear my mind. Fun, but can you make some changes?Please make it possible for players to save up that blue-lightning Energy (for events in the bottom right map symbol), and to use what Energy they earn, and use it in any present and future event. Thanks if that’s already permitted! This game has been fun and artistic, but do you developers mind making some changes? Like making opportunities for “getting justice for the Mom and Daughter” occur FAR more often (like it shows in the ads)PLEASE, make levels MUCH easier (which makes it more relaxing), make available and put all past ingame profile pictures with the beginning available profile pictures (being able to be purchased with 300 ingame coins each to acquire) so that they won’t be unavailable and unaquirable to later gamers, and please…make this game free of money-charge opportunities. Not all players can spend money on games, so please don’t ask that of us…but putting in an option for more fortunate people to donate is fine. And it would be nice if in the future, you give players the option to walk around (like characters who walk around in this game’s map events) as themselves, using the character that they had chosen for their profile picture. Great Game, But...So, I’ve been playing this game for a while (and I mean a while...) like, close to the 7,000 level range and I’ve been having mixed feelings with this game. First of all I do enjoy playing it, but I have a few complaints for some levels. I’ve seen a response where the developers left a message saying all levels are beatable without power ups. While this may be true, the levels are very random. What I mean is this, if you replay a level, fruits or whatever is there don’t say in the same place. You will have to reset the level just to be able to make a huge blast power up to help clear levels. Some levels also have so few turns that it’s super hard to beat unless you get a perfect start. Sometimes you’re forced to you a power up or all 3 to just clear a stage. Especially in the later stages, you would need to keep as many power ups just for that purpose. I have played stages as well where easy stages would act as hard or expert levels, and have few amounts of turns. The same with certain hard levels where it instead should be an expert level. I do love the fact that there are these challenges where you can beat a level consecutively to earn extra power ups. Those definitely help, but you can easily lose them. So, while I do love the game, I have to give it a 3 out of 5 stars. Just because of the the way some of the levels are made..Ikster123Version: 4.7.5

Money GrabIt’s only 5 stars so most will see this. First, there are some mini games where you save a dog, a mother and daughter, or feed a dog and cat. These break up the game a little bit but after a few repetitions, they begin to become bothersome and not very complicated. Second, this game is a money grab initially you will feel pretty confident in your ability to progress through the game, and it can be fun taking a rough area and turn it into something new. However, you will eventually reach certain levels that are exceedingly difficult and you will notice the amount of turns you have to complete the level impossible. You stand a better chance at defying the laws of physics than beating them without spending money (real or in game currency). Take for instance a level where I was given 20 turns to take out a cluster of gems and flowers. I literally used 900 coins of in game currency for 5 extra turns. It made sense as all I had left was around a gem and maybe 4 flowers. It took me an additional 25 TURNS to complete this. I’m on stage 680 something and it is asking me to destroy boxes that take multiple hits to get at jars that release fireflies. The best part is, several of the jars are outside of the play area and can only be accessed with fireworks. These fireworks are tied down by 2 x chains each and are all SURROUNDED by the boxes. So if we use simple math, each box takes about 3 x hits, each firework takes 2 x hits, and the jar releases 1 x firefly per hit. You need 40 x fireflies to complete the level in 14 turns. That means, minus bombs, you need 6 turns to get 1 firefly. You don’t even need to do the math to see the math doesn’t add up to what they ask of you and what they give you..Chongo456Version: 8.6.5

Good match 3 varietyFor the most part, I enjoy this game. Several variations of the standard Match 3 - unblock barriers, collect items, etc. Games vary in difficulty - some are very difficult and I don’t think I could win without using boosters that you can win in the game or buy with real money, or buying extra moves using coins you earn by winning levels. I would like more ways to get coins. It’s tough when you need coins to pass a level but the only way to get them is by passing the level. I’d also like an “undo” because sometimes my finger slides sideways instead of up and I inadvertently make the wrong match. I got this as a free game and won’t spend real money on it. There are some challenge levels where you only get 1 chance but if you win you get more coins and other prizes. They cost a life to play and you can’t skip them. I’d like to be able to skip. There are also team and individual challenges, where you can win things when you or your team collectively hit certain milestones. It’s always nice to win free stuff! There are also side games that don’t require skill or luck, but playing them can earn you coins and/or boosters. These side games usually last for several days. I play them just to get the free stuff, but some are pretty fun. All in all, this is a pleasant way to kill some time..Jellybeanz4evrVersion: 7.4.5

Fun but annoyingThis game is definitely addicting and can be fun, but also very frustrating at times. As others have mentioned the levels get progressively harder as you go on. You can end up wasting lots of power ups and coins trying to beat a level and still lose. Also the rewards stay pretty much the same so you’re basically always getting diminishing returns as you play. But by far the most annoying thing for me is the multi-step process needed to restart a level when you lose or decide to quit. Whenever there is any kind of challenge active where you have to collect things or earn rewards, there is always a pop up where Austin asks if you are ABSOLUTELY SURE you want to lose your rewards/collected items from that level, trying to get you to use your coins and continue. Yes Austin, I am 100% sure I would rather give up these 15 apples I matched than waste my coins on 5 more useless moves that will bring me no where close to winning the level. Of course there is no option to disable these popups, probably because they are just a poorly disguised attempt to get people to spend money on coins. This used to be less of a problem because there weren’t always challenges going on so usually there would be no popup. Now the challenges are constant, and I have to mash the end level button multiple times to blow through Austin’s unhelpful advice every single time I lose or quit..StarPacificVersion: 3.2.0

Gardenscapes Creators Seem to Be ListeningWhile not exactly retracting the review below, I am adding that the creators seem to have listened on recent updates and the game seems more playable without requiring such huge amounts of cash. Stay tuned because I will be modifying this review as I play the new version to reflect average user experience. PAST REVIEW: The rewards for tasks are so unreasonably low, and the cost for boosts you absolutely need to get through some of the higher levels so high, and the amount of things you have to do to get through one game day for any real rewards, will have you spending money you just shouldn't have to spend to enjoy a game. Trust me when I say that the creators are raking it in, and are not satisfied with you spending 99 cents or even 5 dollars a month to actually enjoy the game instead of having to replay levels dozens of times until the game finally hands you a decent assortment you can actually play effectively (the number of times I've seen "no more moves - reshuffle on a level makes me crazy). One dollar or five dollars a month I'd be willing to pay, and if everyone did, would still make the creators rich! Now here's why it's so addictive. Aside from the above it is an amazing game. Addicting, But FrustratingFirst of all, I want to say that I love absolutely love this game! It is very well advertised, and it is such good quality. I really enjoy the storyline and the beautiful garden. However, I do have a couple of problems with this game. During the first couple of days I easily went through and played the levels. However, when I hit the 60’s it got hard. Now, I’m not complaining about the difficulty level, but there is a frustrating cycle when you just can’t complete a level. If you don’t have enough coins to buy more moves, then you don’t have enough coins to buy a power up. You can spin the wheel every day to win prizes, but you rarely get something you can use to win that level. Also, if you can’t when the levels and you don’t get any stars, and if you don’t get any stores and you can’t complete any of the challenges and win coins! You see where I’m going with this?It’s almost like the game is forcing you to purchase coins if you need an extra boost I a level.😕 Even after all this, I still love this game and gave it four stars for its originality and fun! Bring back the old in level cheat tools and the treasure chestLove this game. Been playing it for 8 years. I have never felt so compelled to write a review for anything before. The loss of the Treasure chest where you would get added boosters (bombs, discs, extra moves) for winning levels on the first try was a big thing for me, I think when you get to levels in the 10,000s they are pretty hard and having the Treasure chest booster for a couple days every once in a while was a good way to blow through levels quickly for a bit and gain coins, energy, tokens, whatever. The magic hat is there but I do truly miss the treasure chest and I feel like I played more when we had that. NOW onto what brought me to write a review today... You have changed the tools in the levels from the shovel, the rake, and the glove, to a shovel, a dart, a weight, and a fan. The action of the rake is now separated between two tools (the dart and weight). And what upsets me most, the glove has been switched to a fan, which has a different action. I could appreciate if the fan was added to the original 3 tools, but the glove was a very useful tool and I am extremely disappointed to see it go. Mixed feelings about this gameOn one hand, it’s wildly addictive. On the other, it’s overly frustrating to be stuck on a level that clearly shows the developers lacked some basic empathy/understanding of how the game works. I’m often stuck on levels that are not super hard, per their labeling. I have looked past the thanksgiving-riddled decor (mass genocide and stolen land? not something to celebrate) and the now Christmas-heavy theme, which is great for folks who celebrate Christmas. But I can’t look past the openly racist Asian-inspired area. Being Asian myself, I am so confused how this material made it past the quality check, let alone the initial copywriting phase. The story had to first be pitched and then approved by a manager of sorts. It is just bizarre. I skip most of it because it’s like a slap in the face every time I read it. Great game if…I love when games want to fleece you! This games algorithm’s soul purpose is to line the developers pockets. Once you reach levels 1350++ games is when you get stuck over and over again! The developers know it’ll take 45+ moves yet gives you 16-25 moves to complete the puzzle… even if you have multiple power ups to you’ll not make it through it unless you pay. Also, their garden pass which costs $10 only lasts for a month and gives you minimal power ups, coins, and 8 lives. You’ll go through this in a day. It’s a waste of money spent. There is no way around not paying to play. When you finally get the red energy wheel you’ll mange to make it through one game then you’ll be met with a challenge level and you’ll lose it, then you’ll get a hard level… if you manage to make it through you’ll get to play one or two regular games then you’ll get a super hard level. The Nicest Game EverThis is, seriously, the "nicest" game on the internet. Austin is like your super-supportive friend, who's so positive it's almost creepy, but you gotta love him, because he's just so nice. I started playing this game as part of an offer to earn gold in another game I play, and I've been a daily player ever since. The match-3 levels are pretty addictive and challenging, and they're always changing and adding new features, so it stays fresh and interesting. At the same time, you're fixing up the gardens and having adventures with Austin. All the neighbors you meet are fun characters, with interesting backstories. It's all gorgeously rendered, and totally bug-free. You can play offline. Fun little events happen pretty frequently. Best of all, there's practically ZERO ad-presence... you have the option of watching videos for coins from time to time, but ads are never shoved in your face. I think this game is designed to appeal to older adults-- hence, the 80's-supermarket-style music, but I really think anyone can have fun with it. I am seriously just impressed with the quality of it. The only things I'd potentially change about this one: faster recharge on lives, different music options, and more customization options for the garden decor. A great but expensive gameAn interesting match-3 game with real dialogue written well and at a level accessible to everyone, this game can consume many hours. However, they penalize high level players with levels that require power ups to complete, and with others that, if you have automatic power ups due to events running, ruin a supposedly-clever mechanic and make the level unbeatable. Of course, you can keep spending money for more turns (which is undoubtedly the goal) but it’s very easy to spend $30 in micro transactions and their “best deals” are usually not. However, the game itself is largely stable. The one giant caveat is that if you are in the midst of a level and receive a call (when playing on your phone) the game may restart and not only do you lose any progress on that level, but if you had automatic boosters, they are forfeited even if you paid for then. Contacting support only gets to a token reply that this is functioning as intended and basically you’re screwed. Please do more money in the portal on your way out. The oft-requested feature of waiting to use free lives until one had time is never answered, so enjoy six hours of unlimited lives right before bed. Fun, but the game cheats to try to get your moneyI’ve been playing this for many months now, and while I enjoy the premise and the gameplay, I found that the game purposely tries to prevent me leveling up. I currently have 23 extra lives (probably the 5th or 6th time I’ve accumulated this amount) that I got from the daily spin. I purposely press the stop button on different parts of the wheel, and yet I STILL get extra lives every time. It’s totally fixed. I’ve found myself stuck on levels for weeks because what I really need is a power up to give me the edge to pass the level, but I’m buried alive in extra lives instead. Additionally, I’ve found that if I start blowing through levels too quickly, the game will purposely make my lose a level by refusing to drop the needed shape. I’ve had more than twelve moves left to me after gathering all the gnomes or the lemonade but one, and despite making matches right beneath where I need things to be rearranged, the game will just keep dropping useless shapes for all of my 12 moves and purposely prevent me from winning. I’ve noticed that the only way to combat this programmed cheating is to just stop playing. I won’t open the app for days and then suddenly the game provides everything I need to pass a level I’d been stuck on for 9 days. GardenscapesBeautiful graphics. To create these beautiful garden spaces is aesthetically pleasing and after experiencing a hectic work day, I find it a calming experience where I can go into a “zen” state and truly relax. Addictive, too easy to spend money.This is a fun, entertaining, story telling, somewhat educational game. The artwork is nice, the logic to keeping you playing has been thought out, and it is pretty easy to play. You can win each level without power ups, but it is real tempting and very easy to buy power ups or to extend game just a few more plays. I have spent too much money in this game and am about ready to end it. But it was my choice to spend the money and Apple sends you a report on your expenditures so you can say WHAT! One big problem, when you run out of battery and your devices powers down (ok, that is the players fault), when you power back up and re-enter the game and the last level you were playing, the game thinks you had lost the level and the power ups you had stored in the bucket or chest are gone!!! The developers might consider not removing the power ups until after the last move of a level that ends the level, not during a crash. I love it and it’s fun to play but....First off, I just want to say that I absolutely love this game. I love the aspect of decorating the home, the plot, all of that. The only thing that gripes me about it is that, the game is so transparent in the fact that they make like 2 or 3 levels in a row super easy like passing it in 1 or 2 lives and then they’ll give you a level that you can’t pass for a week, like making it impossible, and you can only pass if you use the power ups or use the coins for more turns. After about a week and the game notices that you don’t use any of it, they make the level on probably the 9th day SUPER easy to pass and you’ll move on. Great game, one irritating problemOverall I love this game. HOWEVER, there is one issue that irritates me endlessly, and I’m writing this review hoping it gets resolved. In some levels in which the goal is to get the punch cups to drop to the bottom of the map, there are little nooks that allow for the rainbow blast power up to drop down into the nook in the space below the cup, so that you can’t use the rainbow blast because the only thing to switch it with is the cup. If this happens, there is no way to win the level!! The rainbow blast is blocking the cup, and no amount of blasting with bombs will move the rainbow blast out of the way. The ONLY way to win would be to use the little “hand” special to switch the places of the cup and the rainbow blast. So if you don’t have that, you basically waste an entire life and any other power ups you started the game with. Like is said, compared to the entirely of the game, this problem is small, but it is definitely a design flaw that causes me to just waste entire levels! It’s SO SO SO aggravating because it’s different than the level just being difficult- rather the level by design and chance is impossible. I really enjoy candy crush so I don’t mind but the issue I find with these type of games is it’s impossible to pass a game unless you pay for boosters to pass the game. I guess you could play the level like 50 times in hopes of eventually getting the right combo of moves but honestly no one is going to play it that long. The disturbing thing I didn’t expect with this game is one of the mini games in it is one of those "makeup" concepts where the female downgrades herself as a person because a guy left her.
