I’ve played this game more than any other (but it still needs some tinkering)I’ve been playing Homescapes for years and absolutely love the games - the Bejeweled/Candy Crush style matching games are always my favorite, and I love that Homescapes ties in decorating houses and the mini side quests. I have found it disappointing that it seems like you can’t complete any of the side quests unless you make purchases in the game. The Makeovers are fun, but even playing the game every day, it ends within a couple of weeks without being able to complete it. Perhaps an option for a version with ads for those who don’t want to make in-game purchases could be a compromise to being able to play the game to its full capacity. Each event would end when you were done instead of in the middle of it when the game updates. I also really enjoy the new update with the matching game - generators are formed to create items, then you match them together to create different items and turn them in for coins, lives, powers, etc. But again, this is another thing that ends before you can complete it. Finally, my last suggestion would be to make the home renovations more catered to actually building and decorating a home. There are so many weird things that are built when the homes don’t even have bedrooms for the people “living” in them. I downloaded the game for the ability to “decorate” and pick furniture, but the further into the game you get, the less you get to do that. Overall a really fun game though!.Version: 6.0.3
Love! But needs some adjustments!I absolutely love this game! It’s fun, challenging, amazing story lines, and cool ideas for decorating! I have been reading through the reviews and see a common complaint.... some levels are way too hard to earn so very little. I have stopped playing this and garden scapes out of frustration from time to time...yet I always go back! I spent 4 or 5 days on the same level on Homescapes and well over a week now on Gardenscapes level and it’s very discouraging. I have heard of people getting charged for additional things they don’t even purchase in games before..so I avoid making purchases at all costs.(***not in this specific game**) So it’s extremely discouraging when I spend so much time and get no where. That’s legit my only complaint. It’s not bad enough where I want to delete the games-because if you keep at it, EVENTUALLY you will beat it! Then it seems the next few levels are super easy then you hit one of the hard ones that takes days to beat. BUT the idea of the game, I think, is Genius! I DO love the little challenges and add on competitions you incorporate into the games, like the rockstar thing with Austin and all that! I wish we had more options for boosters, although I will say from time to time you add in the spin wheel u get to spin daily for boosters ! STAY FAR AWAY, this game cheatsAnd even if you have a screenshot proving the glitch that cheated you, they’ll disregard it and screw you out of play and money. Background: Been playing this game (and spending $$$ on it) for years, but when a level (7214) had a glitch — cheating me out of extra-play coins, taking away bonus tools — I took a screenshot that CLEARLY shows their mistake and sent it to them, and they’re totally fine with screwing me over. (For players familiar with the game: all the suitcases for hats had been opened, all the hats on the board were gone (collected, eradicated, whatever), but it said I needed to destroy ONE more hat. There was NO hat visible, but I tried anyway— exploded numerous planes, bombs and missiles that would have clearly taken care of it. No dice. That was my last move, so I spent 900 coins to try again, even though no hat was left to get. Exploded as many planes, bombs, etc., but no dice. I realized it was a glitch, I wasn’t going to preserve my bonus tools and it had just sucked up my money. You cannot capture a hat that doesn’t exist and is NOT going to materialize, since there were no more suitcases to open.) I went through the multi-step process of contacting support, sent a screenshot proving the glitch, waited more than a day for a response and just got a notification “well, another hat might have materialized, too bad for you.” Clearly the agent doesn’t know how the game is played, and it just CHEATED ME out of play and money..Version: 5.4.3
Why do all these games falsely advertise?Ok, so, I love this game and all, BUT, it falsely advertises it, and that’s the problem. I don’t know if they ever started advertising for it properly (Because I don’t play games with adds as much anymore) but if not, that needs to be fixed. I actually saw an add for Gardenscapes, and it said “This is an only puzzles game, nothing but what you see on screen!” .....🤨 All the reviews on this game get response, except the ones about false advertisement, so I’m not expecting anything back. Next, the events. With the small ones, like the knight race thing, it shouldn’t force you to take part in it, you should actually get to choose. Now the big events. I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF THE BORING ADVENTURE EVENTS! What happened to the renovating events?! I thought those were fun. I got pretty far in the one about the cats in the greenhouse, mainly because I love cats. So yeah, all I’m saying there is I liked the renovating events and hate the new adventure ones. Anyway, I love the gameplay, the characters, It’s fun to renovate the house, and overall it’s a great game. One more thing. Me and my little sister have this game, hers being on phone and mine being on tablet, and when in a level on the side of the screen where it shows you power ups that you can use or buy, on my sisters screen it shows more powers than it does on mine. Unhappy with some recent changesI have both Homescapes and Gardenscapes and I’ve been playing them both for several years now probably about five or six. I love them both. However, some of the recent changes are upsetting to me. It used to be when when you ended level but couldn’t complete it it would tell you how many you didn’t complete and then give you the option to pay the 900 coins to finish now it doesn’t tell you that it just gives you the option to pay 900 coins to try to complete it. I find that very annoying because before I put out my money or my coins, I would really like To be reminded of how many tasks I still need to complete to see whether or not it is possible, and if I should waste my coins to try to do it. You have also raised the rate for when the alt is full, it used to be 5000 coins and now it’s only 3000 coins but it’s the same price. As a long time player I do not appreciate this when we’re doing the extra games where where trying to complete a story I feel like it’s almost impossible to complete the story in the given amount of time unless you’re playing all day long, or spending a lot of money to get more energy. I work and so therefore I cannot spend all day trying to play the story, but I would like to see one of the stories eventually get to a completion, so perhaps you could attempt to make some of the stories a little bit shorter, so that they are more attainable in the given amount of time, thank you.Version: 6.9.0
Great game! Needs a little workHomescapes was one of the first games I downloaded, and I really like it, but the first thing I think I would change is it takes way too many points to get extra moves, and when you get into some harder levels, you sometimes need those extra points. So I think what I would do is make it more like 100 or 200 points that you would need to spend to get more moves. I really like the extra events they’re really fun to do. But I would say that some of the levels get pretty hard and that maybe it would be better to have like a hint at the bottom, like if you needed help, you could just press hint, and it would give you a hint. I also think that something you could change is being able to choose the difficulty of the level like if your brain is having like a hard time waking up then maybe you could like choose easier difficulty they could all still be difficult, but it might work better if you could choose the difficulty. But if you’re reading this review to see if you would like to get this game, I’d say that it’s an awesome game and you should definitely get it but if you are a developer, those are the changes I would make! I hope this review is very helpful for you and I think that if we got these changes made Homescapes would be a very very fun game to play witch it already is but we can definitely make it better!!!.Version: 7.4.5
Addictive game, fun playThis game is VERY addicting. I play everyday. There are compelling characters and storylines, though, at times can be corny. Some aspects are not consistent. The main character, Austin, frequently sweeps an area w a standard dustpan and broom. His type of cleaning materials does not change throughout the game. He uses the same dustpan and broom for outside surfaces as he does indoors. Another questionable story flaw is that it is currently snowing in the game, but there is virtually zero accumulation outside. Other reviewers are correct that some of the “hard”or “super hard” levels are challenging, seemingly impossible, but they are all beatable w the power ups and extra time given and awarded during play. When you reach a certain level, one is given the option to join a team, which is helpful in terms of getting extra lives without waiting for the game to replenish them. In terms of the awarded extra time, there have been numerous times when i have built up a surplus of extra time that i could not use in one sitting because I actually have a job and a life outside of this game. One time i built up 12hours of free time. I wish there was a way to either “stop the clock” so the clock continues when i come back to playing. Another suggestion for this would be to devise a way to give extra time to a teammate(s) who are still playing when you leave. I like the “SOS” system offered on occasion where teammates can help other teammates w levels upon their request. Overall, the game is great, and a wonderful stress reliever..Version: 4.2.0
LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!I love this game so much I can’t even put it I to words. It’s fun and light hearted for the most part and I enjoy most of the levels and it’s like designing my own house without the actually expensive designing of a house. But also I have some suggestions I would like to make. I think it would be helpful if we had a button in the games (like the hammer, sledge hammer and glove) that reshuffled our pieces because sometimes you waste a whole level because all of the moves were goofy little three piece matches at the top or something and you get no where with that. So if there was a little shuffle button, having already set “restrictions” in place, that it would be very beneficial to not only beating levels but also building value to your game. I can’t think of any other games that I have that include this special kind of feature and I think it would be a really cool addition to this already pretty amazing game. Or a back up one move button because since the new update of only having to hit the special moves once I often accidentally tap one or do a move I didn’t want and if there was like a little undo or back up one move that that would benefit the levels. I’ll probably come up with something more to say but this is all I have to say for now. Again I really love this game, very smart design and I love the characters. I like the game but I have a few complaintsGreat game I really like it, no not even like it I love it! I really like the story, the decoration, and even the choices of what furniture you want. But there’s room for a lot of improvement! First, the fact that you have to play a mini game to get stars to do activities is ok with me, what I’m not ok with is how much harder it gets. I mean sure it should get harder but I think it’s nuts about how many hearts and moves you have. I’m on level 20 and it’s really hard and I like it but you only have 17 moves and 5 lives. I think you should be able to buy moves and lives with coins. And you should have a lot more moves and why not have lives always growing and not stoping at 5? Second, why does everything cost so much?! I only have 801 coins and that’s a problem for me. Why not have another mini game to get coins? Third, after each mini game you only get one star! What I think should happen is after every mini game you should at least get more than one star. Like if you go through the mini game without using any boosts you get three stars or something. And fourth, does every single action you make have to use stars? Like I understand stuff like to replace the couch you need 1 star or to replace the wallpaper you need 2 stars but a star to clean up paint or open a box should not use stars, I would use like 15coins or 25 coins or something. Great game! But I want to say… (devs please read this)(P.S this is a bit long 😅)I love this game! But first off I want to say why I gave this game 4 stars instead of 5. my first problem with the game is the ads for this game, the ads for this game is the whole reason I downloaded it. I’m not gonna say the ads are lying because they do come every 20 levels (I think) but anyway back to the ads when people watch an add for an game that’s what they wanna play, they don’t want to play something else they didn’t know about and only play what they downloaded it for barely at all! Another thing about this is about the events in this game… see I have absolutely no problems with the actual events but most of the events have like only 2 OR 1 DAY TO FINISH IT!!!! To me that is un fair some of them have an decent time limit like 20 days but the others are WAY TO SHORT… kids also have school u know, and even if they didn’t it’s not like they could spend there whole day trying to finish an event because it’s leaving in an few hours! The last problem I have is the lives… YOU ONLY GET 5 LIVES, THEN HOW WOULD YOU COMPLETE THE REALLY HARD LEVELS… because when you get to the hard levels in the first place you probably don’t even have all five lives! And this complaint is only for when you don’t have unlimited lives. That’s all I can do for now because I don’t have anymore room. Super Fun and challenging yet curiously exciting and entertainingI love this game it’s SUPER addicting! I play both this and Gardenscapes as well and they are both awesome. I’m wicked picky about games and of course like anything else, someone comes up with something and then suddenly EVERY OTHER company has to make the same thing-it’s crazy. I’ve tried a lot of different match games and these are definitely my favorite. Some of the levels get super hard and annoying-especially when u get stuck on the same one for a couple days or whatever. I don’t do the in-app purchases either so it makes it that much more challenging. I am super impatient too so having to wait for your lives to recharge is like trying to watch water boil lol-but then when u get the notification that “you’re lives are fully recharged” I’m like a kid on Christmas morning like “woohoo!”!!!! But yeah-long story short-well,shorter-all in all this game is super fun and exciting to be able to create your own style and design of the house they the the game. I love it and I definitely recommend it-especially to those who like myself easily get bored with the same old thing over and over-at least in this game there is always something changing around with the levels and their challenges and requirements AND u never know what ur next “to do” is gonna be or what room is next or whatever. Recommend! But some suggestionsThis game is really amazing. It has nice graphics, story line and NO ADS!!! I had to think before I wrote this and realized that fact. The match 3 stuff itself can get really hard though. In the match 3 there are regular levels and then there are the purple hard levels and the red super hard levels. I think there should be something when you have attempted a level a lot of times there is a way the game gives you a certain amount of skips or something like that. Especially since the whole moving forward in the game relies on the completion of levels. Maybe this could become something you buy with real money? I’m not saying I would buy it because my mom never lets me buy stuff for games, but other people would. I have noticed this thing that the game does, especially when there are events. They give unlimited lives again and again for rewards but the problem is that this plays automatically and forces you to keep playing the game until the time runs out. I think that many people including me would appreciate it if there was this sort of bank of something that keeps the rewards that have a certain time limit, so you can use them when you want. Love this game but…I read some reviews and I have the same complaint as many others… I understand that the game needs to get harder as you go, but I lose interest when it takes days (literally) to beat a level. I’m going to call the rainbow ball, bombs, paper airplanes, etc. “cheats” here. Even if I use all of my cheats AND use coins to play on, it’s unbeatable. Most of the time it is pure luck that you beat these levels. Just when you are ready to pack it in and quit, you get lucky. Also, there are levels that start out with only a few pieces on the board, so using cheats doesn’t even help. There has to be a way to make this game challenging without forcing players to quit playing. I have lost many teammates, who quit, because they are stuck and frustrated. My team is down from 28 players to 8 now. Team “America” is looking for players! I hope something changes to keep us all interested. Maybe a new start after a certain level? An end to the game without losing your decorations and cheats, then onto a sequel? A new cheat that clears the board, or something to skip a level? Give us more moves for the harder levels? The game plays the level for you after adding a new booster? There has to be something. I don’t know, but something needs to change. Eventually no one will continue to play, when they get stuck and can’t move on. Why create a game that forces players to quit? Just my point of view. Thank you for reading!.Version: 5.1.4
Addictive but could use some workThis game is addictive as all get out and I love it! However, I think the game would been benefit from having less difficult levels, or decreasing the difficulty in the very hard and hard levels. It’s possible to beat these levels without any power ups and coins, but that’s only if you’ve been dealt a good puzzle. I know a few people that loved the game but stopped playing because of the difficulty of some levels. I have even myself taken long breaks from the game for this reason. Also, sometimes just to call someone, it can take up to 2 or 3 stars just to do this. I believe the game should be a little more rewarding with lives, stars and power ups if just calling someone takes up to three stars(three games). And if this isn’t possible, there should be better rewards for completing levels, helping teammates, and/or just in general (hand out power ups). I think the game would be extremely successful if it were a little easier or if you could change which difficulty you would like to play as. I think the developers are more focused on making the game like the ads we see and less like keeping and improving what is already good about the game. Hopefully some of these issues are dealt with so mine and many other players I know experiences while playing the game are improved. Homescapes is fun! Just a few critiques.I like Homescapes but I believe that it is too time consuming. You earn stars by beating levels, which in my opinion are a bit difficult. The rating is ages 4+ which is crazy. How is a 4 year old going to beat some of these levels? Also, I think that more stars should be given when you beat a level. Or, players should need less stars to complete actions. I personally think you need stars for too much. For example, to wake up and get dressed costs a star, which is completely ridiculous. I believe that Super Hard levels are a little over the top. And I agree with other players who have said that they think that having to wait 20 minutes for 1 single life is frustrating. There is another option to buy lives, but money is scarce and very expensive to buy. Some positives are that I love the fact that new levels come out every week. In some games, players beat the game and are stuck waiting for new levels to come out. Most games use chapters or take 1+ month to release 100 levels. I like that Homescapes releases levels once a week rather that waiting to release a bigger quantity of levels. I also like how you can name the cat and join teams. It is nice to earn coins, even if it’s just 5, for gifting teammates lives when they need help. I think it promotes a positive message. Overall it’s a great game but be careful of young children playing this game because there is an option to chat with your teammates. I think it’s a great game and super fun!.Version: 2.8.0
HomescapesLove this game been playing it for years have spent a lot of money. this is one of those games as in Gardenscapes and a lot of the other puzzle match decorating games that the people that are usually interested in playing this or interested in the decorating part of the game you go to a lot of trouble in a lot of time to get through the puzzles to get a couple of stores and you really don’t wanna waste your stores on somebody talking on the phone or walking or doing a dance you want to have choices and decorate and you would like to do one room at a time that would make this game so much more worthwhile you play for so long and these puzzles the longer you are in this world and to take a half an hour to earn two stores and then have somebody make a cell phone call for two stars takes away from the excitement and the want to continue to do another puzzle I say take out all the stuff that has nothing to do with decorating people wanna decorate that’s why they’re picking these games it becomes frustrating and you stop lying you would be more interested in earning more stores if you knew you were finishing up a room and get your interest or you wanna match the colors you wanna make more decisions and decorating if not you could just go play candy crush So that would be the one improvement because it starts to get frustrating the longer you go on and eventually you’re gonna move onto a new game with more decorating and I love the other nonsense.Version: 6.0.3
Love it but theres a discrepancyThis is the only match game I will play because I love how I can actively do something for all the levels I beat. It gives a point to this type of game that is quite unique. I also enjoy all the competitions because they allow people to earn immunity and other power-ups so I can go through a bunch of levels when I usually end up stuck. The one issue I find though with this game is the discrepancy of stars it requires to complete tasks. My boyfriend is a little more than 100 levels behind me and he is already 2 days ahead of me on renovations. That’s a lot of stars I either used or didn’t receive. I understand I started playing before there was Super Hard levels which give you 2 stars and that there is competitions where you can gain stars while not playing the main levels but he doesn’t play those enough or there aren’t enough of those to justify the discrepancy. Now if you aren’t convinced, I’ve looked at his phone before and multiple times I’ve seen a task that required 3 stars for me, only require 1 or 2 for him. Usually my tasks take 3 stars but he says his are on average only 2. I even had a task that caused me 3 stars but caused him 4! Now this isn’t entirely terrible, but I’d like to get the proper rewards for playing the game aka begin able to renovate. Thats my favorite part of the game but it always seems its 100x easier for my boyfriend to complete tasks than me because it is. I want the time I put into the app (I’m on level 680) to show..Version: 2.3.0
Gardenscapes on Hard ModeUpdate: Holy moly, did the level difficulty spike in this by level 50+! Forget what I wrote before, the level difficulty escalated from 0-100 real quick. They’re probably compensating due the lack of amount of levels currently and are making it harder for that reason. Currently on 129 and virtually stuck for now. So far I enjoyed the new aesthetics they’ve made and newly implemented login bonus. A new discovery I’ve found was that bubble foams are deadly when it comes to power-ups. Don’t even think about leaving your bombs or disco ball near foam, if it foams over that, it IS GONE. Original Review: I haven't quite finished Gardenscapes yet (level 1282), currently at the cascade area. I would recommend playing at least halfway through the original Scapes app before proceeding onto this one just so you get an understanding of some of the aspects in the storyline. This one implements some of the old features from Gardenscape. The only thing I've noticed is Austin doesn't react as much compared to the original. However, there's new sounds, strategies, and even play styles that differ and make it exciting in its own way. You're probably wondering, "Ok so get to the point about the levels. Is it crazy hard or not?" Well, if you've played the original, the levels so far seem considerably easier since there's many ways to make power-ups now. Currently at level 28. Why is there no bathroom?Overall a great and interesting game to play. Fun and challenging. Love: the extra rooms, added updates, extra “decor” you can earn by playing the seasonal games, graphics, some of the storylines, the cat, easy game within the game that earns stars/lives, garden is truly beautiful, no (direct) ads Confused by: no bathroom, the parents have no bedrooms, some colour and design choices Can do better: some storylines esp Katherine who is supposed to be the romantic interest but always looks on the verge of crying, the “ friends” are made to seem inclusive but can come off as tokenism, father is just plain annoying. Game forces you to play constantly by withholding some of the extra rooms. No ads which is a plus but then indirectly pushes you to purchase by not allowing you to proceed. (It is possible to play without purchasing, you just may be stuck on a level until game decides to let you go on, the level will be impossible to win until you’ve failed enough times and suddenly will become super easy) which brings me to next point which is game is neither skill based or luck but seem driven by trying to get you to purchase stuff through it. Some levels are so easy and then impossible until the same level becomes impossibly easy after you’ve either bought some bonus or tried enough times that it gives up on you purchasing. I get it, that’s the point of these things but still..Version: 4.6.2
Has PotentialHomescapes is sort of a game I just stumbled on but as I got to know the storyline better, I became more interested. I’ve been playing this game for about one or two years, and at first I kind of didn’t seem much enthusiastic about the game, and it’s only because the way you get stars by matching objects and such didn’t seem like much fun, then, they added a new update where you could play mini games, and then, ( in my opinion) the game had more purpose to it, more to do. First off, to me, I didn’t exactly like how you had extra to do in levels like, for example, bring the doughnuts down, collect cherries, break chains, and match items to get carpet. Matching (once again, to me) isn’t very much fun especially when you have to do extras, and have a specific amount of moves to do it. Second, simple things such as collecting stars to “start a new day” isn’t worth going through a level, and having the risk of losing a life just to “start a new day”. Finally, the furniture needs to have a wider variety of colors, textures, types, etc. added to them. Overall, the game has potential and I really do enjoy it but I just feel, ( in my opinion) the game is getting more attention, more downloads, and getting older, it needs to have more options and explanations, (especially to new players) but if you want a simple, free, relaxing game I would definitely suggest it. Stuck, need coins and more places to renovateI LOVE the game. I have spent more money than you can imagine to get past certain levels!!! I have been stuck as long as a week or longer on certain levels. You can need one more move to win but of course the game is over of the kite doesn’t go to that one color or spot you need it to go to so you can win. It’s like it’s set up for you to lose so you have to purchase more coins. We you are able to win coins through the special events, it’s so hard to win levels and of course win you spend the win you never get the grand prize!! Right now the only place I have left to renovate is the boat house but the game keeps stalling with unnecessary purchases like the Paris tower, the opera house and taking pictures. I’m so upset that I finally earned enough to move on and they ask you to spend your almost impossible earned STARS on things that don’t matter. I’m ready to renovate that’s what I want to spend my STARS on, not talking pictures or opera houses. I truly hope you can fix this. I truly love this game. I have spent a lot of hard earned money of this game. I would to delete it and move on to another game. I have done so before because I couldn’t pass a level after 3 weeks. I know you might feel as if we’ll we got the money so you can move on, but I would hate to have to do that. The special events to earn extra coins, gloves, hammers need to be more often as well. Great game but could use improvementFirst of all this game is so fun and addicting. Though, it does need some improvement. Sometimes in levels, you get stuck and have no helpful moves, it takes like 10 moves until you get a reshuffle or a useful move, so you’re basically going to just be wasting your moves and it is not likely that you’re going to beat that level. So if playrix sees this, please try to make it so the only time you’re able to move is when it is helping you expand carpet, get rid of boxes, cherrys, suds, chains, make power ups, etc. Also, you have done a better job of putting in more mini games but it’s still not that many, considering the entire ad is about them. I think it would be nice to have an option to play mini games whenever you like instead of just popping them in randomly. Also, I wish that instead of your free lives constantly running out, I wish whenever you didn’t have the app open, the counter would stop until you reopen the app because it’s kind of annoying if you’re playing right before bed and all of a sudden you get like 2 hours that you need to waste. But other than that, this is an amazing game and I play it all the time. You can chat with friends if you join a team, request lives from you’re teammates, play challenging and fun levels, decorate your home, and even name a cat! You can also customize your name and pick a character from the game to be your profile pic. Lastly, you get to experience what Austin’s life is like and hear all of his conversations. A really fun game! But….I really enjoy this game. It is very addicting to play. I like the story and enjoy decorating each area. With each new thing added and level beaten, it kind of feels like a relaxing accomplishment. However, as much as I enjoy the game, I do have my one complaint. Every so often there is a tournament of champions that comes up. During this tournament, you can’t win any stars to complete a task so the story is put at a stand still for 3 or 6 days. I personally don’t care to be the champion and would prefer to continue with the story. When the tournaments come up, I get really annoyed and don’t play as much if at all. The only thing that makes them somewhat bearable is when there is an event going on. So in order to complete the event you have to participate in the tournaments. Even then I’m really irritated but I do participate because I want to complete the event more than I want to be a champion in a silly tournament. It probably wouldn’t be so bad if there was only the 3 day tournament or you were able to opt out of the tournaments if you didn’t want to participate. I should also say that often times these tournament levels are a bit harder that the normal levels. Being that I don’t like these anyway, most of the time I don’t care if I pass them. So when I get stuck, I’m less likely to pay to help get me past it. Anyway, so the tournaments of champions are my only complaint against this game but other than that one thing, awesome game! Used to love this game, still like it but needs improvementsI’ve never left a game review but I am hoping this gets fixed because I really do enjoy playing. First, the more you play, the more they charge you for in game purchases. I understand costs are going up but when you charge 10 and sometimes 20x the cost for loyal players as you do for occasional and new players, it’s absurd and you are loosing my business from it. Forcing people to play your sub games and not opting out takes away from why some users actually play the game. In Tournament of champions, you HAVE to play and don’t get to level up or earn stars. I don’t mind playing the tournaments IF I am not loosing out on my other rewards. Not all of us who play can play all day to win an award at the end. Also, if you brought the cost of pass activations back down to $3.49 or even $4.99 for your advanced players, I think you’d profit a lot more. Increasing from $1.99 to now $9.99 I will simply not spend my money anymore out of spite. You went from making a decent revenue from some players to many not wanting to spend at all now because you are gauging us instead of rewarding us for being loyal players and customers. Overall the game is fun and addictive. The layout, game style and format are perfect. Not kiddish and not complex either. Read!So when I first downloaded it I thought it was gonna be one of those fake ad games but surprisingly it was not. What I mean is that is challenging but also it’s not too challenging where you can’t level up. Also sometimes when you level and complete the task it lets you chose what design you want like for example if I completed a level I would get one star and then I would be able to complete a task and make a bench and then they would let me like design what I wanted the bench too look like and what color which is really nice since you get some choice in the game and the game isn’t just choosing everything for you. I also like how there’s these levels were you only get one shot at and if you complete it, it gives you three stars since usually you only get one. Another thing is that sometimes my friend did have to some money because they just couldn’t beat the levels but most of the levels aren’t that hard and they are possible to beat without money spending. I once completed 30 levels in a row without having to retry or spend money and I am not the best at these types of game. Developers, PLEASE read this.This game is fun, engaging, and challenging! Not to mention it doesn’t have any ad’s (THANK YOU!!). However, sometimes the levels can get TOO challenging. I’m currently on level 60 and it’s near impossible. I’ve been on it for a couple of days now and I just can’t get past it. They only give you about 12 moves to get so much stuff, and it’s not even worth it. I’m not sure if this is a marketing strategy, but it’s a crappy one. I swear the creators don’t even try to do the levels themselves, because if they did they would be able to see that there is no way to get past the level without paying for anything. There should be some sort of “skip” level or something similar so that you aren’t stuck on the same level for weeks on end. Especially since the game won’t go on if you don’t complete these levels. I always end up deleting the game because of this. I mean isn’t the whole point to decorate? Speaking of decorating, there should be more options. To be honest, I don’t ever really like the choices I have for decorating and I’m always just settling for something I don’t like. A great, ad-free gameI’ve been delaying writing a review because I was still so bitter, not only because I fell for their bait-and-switch but also because I would still see false ads for this game in other games! This is NOT the solving puzzles game it advertises but a rendition of candy crush and similar matching games. UPDATE: there must have been a new management change because of all the negative reviews about the false advertising. The game has recently added an “Austin’s Bad Dreams mini-game” to incorporate what was advertised. The graphics and goal of the mini-game match the ads but it seems so out of place with the quality of the rest of the game. I appreciate the effort, but a band-aid will look like a band-aid. Overall, I have to admit that I still enjoy this game. The graphics in the story and in the game are great, and you can get by without buying any in-game products. Actually, they provide a lot of bonus rounds and different opportunities to get booster items throughout the week so it helps keep the game going. I enjoy that they generally have a life limit because it helps keep me from wasting my day away, but I don’t like how they have a time limit on seasonal decorations or special event levels. It’d be nice if there was an option to finish one, but I get it; it’s a way to get you to make in-game purchases and that’s how they can make money without putting in annoying third party ads. Needs a lot of improvementsWhen I played the preview game I fell in love with the game and decided to download it. I was impressed on how big the house was and how long the game was going to be. The small games was sometimes challenging and fun and building the rooms was also very exciting however the longer I play the game the more I see problems accruing . For example the second room we unlock is the kitchen . Everything you due causes you to now spend two starts but what makes it worse is some come in two parts. To do the wallpaper it takes a total of four starts. The levels are almost impossible to beat without using extra help or getting extra moves. Plus you have to use a lot of stars on useless things like answering the door or getting the mail. I strongly feel like you should only use stars when you are remodeling the house. Another thing that really bugs me is during the game itself. You don’t get a lot of moves and some are so complicated that you are stuck on it for days if you don’t have any boosters. It’s overall a cute little game but I feel like a lot needs to be done to fix it. I’m so close to deleting the app due to how long it takes to earn stars and build the house . Hello! Developers Please ReadDear Developers, I love home scapes, I love decorating my house, I enjoy beating puzzle. I’m happy there’s no ads, So you might be wondering why I only gave you 4 stars. This is not a cheap game. At the beginning, yeah, I could play without spending a penny. But now, I have to pay to Get rewards during the season, Or spend my coins on extra lives. I was super Exited to get the new pet, Pepper, So I finished a ton of levels, So I went to collect my prizes, And realized I couldn’t even get Pepper without paying. I was heart broken, And did not open Homescapes for a day. I still love Homescapes, So I had opened my app up, and I was ready to re design my house. I was stumped on this one level, I spent almost all my coins, used all my life’s, and I was stuck. I finally finish this “ easy “ level, and for some reason don’t get a star. And don’t just tell me you’ll tell the devs about a problem that never gets fixed. I’ve now been stuck on this one level for almost a week. With no way to get boosters by completing a level, if I’m stuck on one. So I am stuck on a level, with no way to complete, hence no way to continue the game. Everyday I check on that level, but everyday I fail. This game is no longer fun. Please fix your game to make it cheap, and make it playable. Great fun game but becomes expensive fast!!I love the concept of this game (I am a candy crush junkie) and it is basically played the exact same way with how you can make power-ups BUT it is dang near impossible to beat some levels without spending money! You label a level as "hard" and my only reward is 1 star and 100 coins?? But it cost 900 coins for only 5 more moves?? You require 2 stars (I'm in the kitchen) for a simple task of finding a recipe book then 2 more stars to keep looking cuz daddy can't find it?! If the levels get harder then the rewards need to match! One feature I do like is how cheap it is to change furniture or a look of something......but I am spending way too much $$ on a game! I am sure this is what the money hungry developers had in mind but you will definitely lose players that way! I can assure you I will get tired of it! If you want to make money then offer a one time fee for unlimited lives.....people will pay it!! Fun in the beginning….I’ve been playing this for about a year and I’m currently (stuck) on level 2836. I also play Gardenscapes, but was stuck on a level forever and decided to play this one in the meantime. I really liked this game in the beginning, but like the other one, I’m finding my progress has slowed significantly because of the way the puzzle levels are designed. There’s probably two easy ones in a row, then you get a hard one, then super hard and then it’s the challenge puzzle. I hate the challenge ones because you only have one chance to beat it and they are extremely difficult and totally made to disrupt your winning streak which causes you to lose all the boosts you had going and start over trying to get them back again. I wish these challenge levels were optional. The only way to win some of the super hard levels (without spending any real money on boosts) is if you happen to get a few hours of bonus time or have enough coins to continue after you run out of moves, otherwise it’s days or weeks of trying to beat one level. That’s been happening consistently now at the higher levels and it’s extremely frustrating, it makes me not even want to play. The storyline has also become rather tedious. I’m tired of spending stars on just chatting with the parents or building something unnecessary for a party. I’m at the lake cabin area now and it’s making me build a silly school house and camping stuff on the property and that storyline is taking forever! I just want to fix up and decorate the house! Why I don’t like this game a lotI would give it a five star if it actually did what the ad said it said that it would be exciting and that it would have more fun puzzles to play but so far it is basically the same as Royal Match nothing but just matching matching matching matching you need to kind of actually have it on what the ad says so cause I would actually like to play more of the puzzles instead of fixing up the house and doing like puzzles every once in a while, it’s not as fine no I I’ve just went through a lot of games in like the past few days and none of them have that, but it says from the ads and when I saw the ad that said this is what the ad that this is exactly what the ad says. Level 1025 then deletedI thoroughly enjoyed this game but eventually it disrespects the casual gamer and treats the individual player as though they’re a hardcore fan. It was interesting how the illusion of renovating a manor kept me interested in earning stars to progress in that respect, not to mention separate renovations in the limited time events and special events, the latest of which (Cowboy) I won first place in its premiere release. All in all, it’s a lot of fun, but as the player progresses, he/she may notice that any number of levels could be given the “Hard” or even “Super Hard” rating. I tried to be okay with being stuck on a level for days at a time, but I finally got tired of the designers “deciding” when I was “allowed” to win. I can’t tell you how many times I needed just one move to pass a level and had to spend 900 coins on five measly moves when I could’ve gambled and paid the 900 for five more lives just to get that close five more times and still lose. I think I spent $2.99 total on this game and shortly after have realized what a waste it was. Save your money. The game is enjoyable enough for 1000 levels without spending a dime. The designers didn’t build this game with the player on their mind first. They’re only concerned with how desperate they can make you feel. Don’t take it too hard if you get stuck. Just keep trying. Fun game bad supportThis is a very very fun game and I enjoyed playing a lot, but beware if you have a support issue, good luck on getting any kind of assistance at all. At least 3 times when you’re on a level you have the option of buying coins to get more moves, which is fine ..but at least three times when I was at a very hard hard level ,I tried to buy coins and the game actually freezes up and you have no choice but to exit out of that level ,thus losing the progress that you had on hard level, and as soon as you exit out of that level your coins are credited but then you have to start over again ,,twice I have contacted support about this issue and both times I get a canned response saying that the levels are hard and some are harder than others but they can all be beat, I have responded to both of them saying the issue is I know there are hard levels, I understand that, my issue is the glitch in the system that it knocks you out of the hard level because you can’t continue because it’s froze up, and it’s not my Internet connection because every other aspect of the game works fine… But I never got a response back to my response ..so just know if you’re on a very hard level and you need to buy more coins to finish the level there’s a good chance the game will freeze up and you’ll sort of waste your money because you won’t be able to finish the level but you’ll have the coins in the bank so if by chance you get back to that level you will have them in your bank… Please be aware that I have never ever lost money when I bought the coins,, the coins have always been credited it’s just the timing of the coins being added to your account.Version: 4.7.2
HomescapesI’m surprised I like this game. I don’t generally like games where you have to match up gems. I don’t like how you run out of lives so easy. I have to pay for them now, Which I won’t do, because once you start doing that you’re spending all kinds of money that you don’t have on something that doesn’t really exist. So to sum it up, I like the game.I wish there were other ways to get stars and lives without matching the gems. Also the bombs disco ball and rockets are far too expensive compared to the prices of the tools you want to play when I think that they should be comparable. In order to win this game when you get into the higher levels you have to be able to buy the glove and the sledge hammer and the hammer. Therefore if a hammer is 1900 coins and aSledge hammer is 3800 coins and a glove is 2900 coins And you are getting paid 100 hundred and coins how could you ever get up enough money to have the things that you need to beat the levels unless you used real money. I’m very frustrated by not being able to pick my color scheme or have my driveway and pathways match it bothers my OCD. Some of these games give me anxiety the foam the webbing the cold little clocks that take away your men. I’d like a way to make stars where you get to choose what game you wanna play. Frustrating… But yet enjoyable.I downloaded this game because I kept getting ads for it with every game I play so I finally decided to bite the bullet and download it. I actually began enjoying it within the first few levels. The games were easy and quick. I like the mini games where you have to move the pins and figure out how to move the little butler guy without messing up and having to retry. My only complaint so far is that the games have become increasingly more difficult to pass without spending coins to get more moves. They expect you to get like let’s say for an example, 80 pieces of carpet and 40 pieces of blue blocks but yet you only have 20 or so moves. The power ups you use like bombs or paper airplanes count as a move so you can’t even use them to get the last pieces you need without it getting rid of your moves so you have to buy more moves with your coins. I’m stuck on a level right now because of this. I had to buy a $15 pack of coins and power ups because of how difficult the levels are. I only got 11,000 coins and I’ve already blew through 85% of them. I have 3,000 left but I can’t spend them because they want you to spend an outrageous amount to get more moves. It asks you for 900, then 1200, it’ll probably then ask you for 3000 after but I haven’t gotten that far to need that many more moves thankfully. I just wish they would make it a little less expensive to get more moves so we could get some. Like at least ask for 200 every 5 moves given. Not thousands of coins. I’m tempted to uninstall but I just spent money so I don’t want to have it gone to waste. But I am going to take a break because of this..Version: 5.3.3
Awesome game! But...I love this game. It’s so relaxing and entertaining. It’s nice to have challenging levels. However, once you get further into the game, you can’t play as much because you start to go through lives like a hot knife through butter, which is why I can only give this app four stars. The stars in the game feel less and less possible to gain because each one takes over a day to gain sometimes. The challenge is fun, but perhaps there should be different difficulty levels for people who are interested in different aspects of the game? Not just an “easy mode” in which some levels are a bit easier, but a normal and hard mode as well. Or perhaps an occasional “watch ad to get one more move but if you want five more moves you have to pay” because it is very aggravating to feel as if you either have to have a ton of power ups or be able to purchase the five extra moves every time. Especially when, out of those five extra moves, you only needed to use one of the moves. I enjoyed the game a lot, but I want to be able to play without feeling like purchasing coins is a requirement to move forward. Overall, a good game- I love the aesthetic of the furniture, the plot is interesting and somewhat realistic, and Captain Flint is a very nice touch to the game. Cash grabI downloaded this game as a joke thinking I’d delete it after the first couple levels....... then promptly played all the way up to lvl 50 in only one day. I’m perfectly obsessed with the game. The story is interesting, the rewards are gratifying, and rather than putting an ad wall in the players face every level, the game company sneak ads of their other games into the game play (that part specifically is very cool to me). All the levels before level 50 weren’t too challenging, but lvl 50 is in a whole other ball park. It is basically impossible without getting lucky. It’s not a strategy issue, it’s purposefully crippling the player by limiting the number of moves they have to a ridiculous level, and giving them a tiny 6x6 space to play the level. It’s very obvious that level 50 is made to be difficult to force players to spend out if pocket money on the boosters to progress the game but I’ll be taking no part in it. There’s no point in spending 2-15 dollars to solve this problem now, only to meet it later on down the road. It’s a cycle with this game. They draw you in with fun levels and interesting story and new sections of the mansion to decorate, and then trap you with basically a pay wall and force you to spend more money. This problem can only be fixed with real world cash and I am unwilling to pay it, but if you are then be my guest because the game is- at the very least- fun to play..Version: 4.7.2
Needs fixing!!Well for one they should have unlimited hearts because there are some very difficult levels but I also get that it is fun to win and then decorate and lvl up but then we should get more boosts like for instance I have been stuck on lvl 23 for almost two days and it’s really getting in my nerves oh and also this is the worst of all we need unlimited moves in the games because you can’t just win like magic every time!!!!!!!!! And when you do need the level ups they should not be that expensive because most of them are 1900 and if levels are too hard then you don’t have coins and if you don’t have coins then you don’t have boosts and if you don’t have boosts it’s almost impossible to win and p.s don’t get me wrong I love this game but it just needs some serious improvements on some things thank you and one last thing you would have more coins the. Kind of disappointing..Hey there, first let me say that the game is beautifully designed and has so much potential. When I first downloaded this game I was glued to my phone and obsessed immediately, and then I hit level 24. I’ve watched videos of people completing these levels in the past and they had over 20 moves for the same level. And now it’s only 10?? I understand and was fully expecting that once you get to a certain point in the game levels will get pretty difficult since I know this game has been around for awhile, but level 24?!?! I haven’t even made it out of the first room!! You have to play a perfect game to be able to beat the level and it took me several heart refills as I kept failing. You basically have no choice but to either take your time on this level (which could last several days) or to buy a pack of coins to continue playing. As someone who generally does spend on in-app purchases, it’s frustrating when you feel as if you are basically forced to do so, and in turn, makes me want to delete the app. I really don’t want to do this as I said this game is really entertaining and a ton is fun, but I refuse to spend a small fortune to be able to play a game on my phone. Love the game but....I've been playing the game about 3-4 years now because I really enjoy the satisfaction I get from completing a level and remodeling the homes. Much better version than candy crush. I'm almost 10,000 levels in and I'm really starting to notice how some of the gameplay is set up for me to lose the level rather than win. I could have a few tasks left to complete and even if I have the right combination or right amount of boosters (for example: combining a rainbow ball with the double planes) to hit/and or clear whatever i need to finish the level, it will hit the same target with a plane twice rather than another target I need to clear as well. Also lets say I have to clear the juice machines, (which you have to hit 3 times before it collects) the double planes will hit a juice machine twice but yet only count for one hit when one of those planes could have just hit a different one in the process or atleast count for 2 hits at once so there's no waste. I don't mind spending money on the game but I should not have to do that just in order to win. Funny how the game actually wants to help you a little more by clearing things with the first example I used or putting you in position to do it yourself once you do buy some more boosters or coins. Rewards aren’t sufficientI have played many, and I mean MANY, games such as this one in my lifetime. I find them to be fun and even addicting. Although the concept of the game is great, and I’ve only been playing for a short while, something needs to be improved with the coin/lives system. Getting around 50 coins per mini-game, which can take multiple lives to complete, isn’t sufficient enough. In order to buy a life, 900 coins, you would have to play around 18 rounds just to get enough coins for ONE life. I do not pay money on games, never have never will, but it’s so frustrating that you may have one move left and instead of paying real cash, not in game coins, you have to wait for a life to replenish just to try and fail at the level again. Each round can take 10+ lives to complete, and it takes quite awhile for the lives to replenish. There should be some kind of reward opportunity other than completing a day, especially because you need to play the mini-games to get stars, in order to complete tasks, to complete the day. That’s a lot of tasks to do with not a lot of lives/coin rewards!!! If there were events where you can play other mini-games to gain rewards/treasures I think it would be more efficient. I also think 28 minutes is a long time to wait for one single life. It’s a fun game but…I have been playing for years now and in the past year or so I had to start from level 1 again after already making it to about the 1,000th level ( I tried to transfer my data from and old phone to my current and lost my saved game progress ) anyway I’m on level 2,164 now and I’ve noticed something. Now I know I’m in the 2,000s regarding the levels, however some of the “hard” levels are extremely difficult to do and I sometimes spend DAYS trying to beat one level. No I'm not spending 5,10, or even 20 dollars to beat the level or buy power ups, Some people can afford that, I cannot. I play the game because its free. Not only that but some of these “hard” levels are more difficult that the “extremely hard” levels. On so many different instances I have been stuck on a “hard” level and once I beat it there’s maybe one or two “normal” levels, then I get an “extremely hard” level and beat it in the first or second try. I honestly love how challenging the game can be but other times I get so frustrated because I can’t beat a level and spend my 5 moves in 10 minutes then I have to wait A HALF AN HOUR for ONE move so I just end up not playing for the rest of the day. Not really expecting anything to change just want to let people what game they get into when they download this..Version: 6.8.5

Really fun but...Please rethink the game. Really hard to get through some level. Not enough hammer or bonus stuff. Also you never give enough money for us to continue. It gets boring when you can do anything..Version: 1.0.0

Bait and switchI kept seeing the ad for this game and thought that looks like fun. Putting out fires and fixing the plumbing. That’s not the game I downloaded. This is a puzzle game.
