Pocket Rally Dog Obedience for the iPhone was completely rewritten in Apple’s own development language. It is still true to it’s roots. The app still has the signs, descriptions and short, "real world" videos to demonstrate how a sign is performed.
There is a section for random sign generation that is included for practice. The audio sign Callout Section allows auditory learners to listen to the signs and is accompanied by the sign name and description. There are also links to the official AKC™ YouTube™ videos (internet connection required). The app also includes a little memory game that has been updated. You can now choose the cardbacks, there are more levels and a timer has been added to make the game more challenging. The mini course designer has had an update to include more features. Read the Help in that section to learn more. Finally, there is a simple little Tic Tac Toe game added.
If you like the app, please take time to give it a positive review. A lot of time and energy is spent in the creation of an application like this, it is always nice to read some encouraging words. Also, if you find bugs, please write. There is no way to know about bugs unless there is a notification. This app is huge. There are thousands of lines of code. Mistakes are bound to creep in on occasion.

Excellent!I’ve used this app since Ruthann first told me about it when it was first made available. ALL of my students downloaded it as well. We check the descriptions carefully during lessons and they learn so much from the videos! I wouldn’t mind an update with a self-course construction feature and would gladly pay for it. I would also love to see different size dogs do some of the exercises, especially at the Master level..Version: 6.9
A Must-HaveThis is such a helpful app. I use it to verify I am doing my signs correctly (some are confusing) at trials. I also take my course maps and do a screen capture of each sign in order. I can practice our run both with and without my dog prior to our walk through. Also, the app is great for practice outside of class and when I don’t have my trainer to verify if I’m doing a sign correct. Thanks so much for creating this app!.Version: 6.4
Must haveI’ve gone from “suggesting” this app to my students to “strongly recommending” it. And since the new signs came out, I use it often as a reference to confirm I know how everything works. Great apI have used this app as I’ve progressed through the levels as an amateur trainer. The written instructions and ease of locating a particular sign help me on trial day. During training, I enjoy watching the videos both to see how a sign should be performed, but also as inspiration for where we should get to as a dog team. Wishing for a bit moreI like the app and videos. I wish the app allowed me to save or tag signs I am working on. I wish I could save the practice course I design after each lesson for further review during the week. I wish I could search by number or name of sign and not need to know the level the sign is from. Lots of great stuff here!I have only just started using Pocket Rally and I love it! The sign reference includes videos of how to execute all of the signs which is great. You also have quick access to the official AKC sign demonstrations from the "Treat Bag" area of the app. From there just click on the YouTube Video links button. You can set up favorites, design mini courses, access the full (and current) AKC Rally Regulations book, generate random signs by level and so much more! Definitely worth 1.99! This app is kept up to date and the programmer was very responsive to my landscape mode request..Version: 9.0
