But I keep spelling ” wyd” and it keeps saying it's wrong. But overall it's really good! I'm using it right now I spelled using wrong and it said it was wrong it told me how to spell it! One thing I don't like is that I have to give it full access. The reason I gave you 4 stars is that sometimes it says your wrong but you're not. After 5 weeks I forgot how to spell coincidence and it only told me to spell convenience I had to look it up I'd like it if you would fix that so I don't have to look it up. Whenever I try to spell convenience now it tells me how to spell coincidence. Every time I have to spell coincidence or convenience I have to look it up. I like the app and it's really good. Even though it corrects me when I'm right is pretty good. But I would like you to fix that, please. I don't like looking it up. It's really easy to set up too. I like that you can pick new languages so that you can talk to people through text in their language. I like that you can do replacements for words. You can do lots of stuff with Grammarly. I really like Grammarly and I think people should get this app. Only if you fix the problem. I hope you read this. I got tickled!What do you do when you know that you are a writer but you can’t write your way out of a paper sack? You know you’re a writer because you know you have a lot to say! It’s a part of my family legacy. We are social justice advocates just like Jesus, and so since I had so much to say, it was really really important that it looks great when you read it! Everyone should go to a reading of an author at your local bookstore. Pay a little more for the book than you will at certain places and have an experience that you will cherish for a lifetime. I have needed this app my entire lifeI never go out of the way to write reviews for apps! This app is the best! I wish I could give this app a lot more than five stars. I own and run multiple businesses. My Position requires me to write a substantial amount. Not to mention I need to come across intelligent in a clear, concise manner. When I was in school, I was traumatized by the teachers defacing my papers with a red colored pencil. No matter how much time, energy or how hard I tried or revise my documents there be 1 million red marks in circles and notes on my writing. Every paper I wrote usually ended up with a big D or C on top. It was heartbreaking because I honestly like to write. I might not be naturally gifted when it comes to spelling and grammar. When I found this app, it changes the way I look at writing. Plus I have learned a lot in the process. I saw with my new found confidence I’ve been writing a lot more often. Don’t waste your time on the free version! I highly recommend the full version otherwise it’s useless to have. I have added this app on every computer and phone I own and use regularly! On another note, if you struggle with writing and proofreading, I also recommend turning on the dictation button in your settings. NiceSuggestion: when a correction is suggested it would be nice if the reason/rule of grammar is quoted so we’ll learn at the same time. Maybe that's a premium service idk but that way you actually learn versus just blindly accepting correction and sometime not knowing exactly what or why the grammatical error is you’re making. IJS....Also I was proofreading my answers to a test and out of four questions asked one was supposed to have a grammar error. I typed all four sentences exactly into Grammarly but it didn't indicate any errors/corrections needed. Yet of course according to the test you were to identify the one that was wrong. So I hope I chose the right answer based on their criteria. So I don't know what's right the test or Grammarly. The test results don't tell you which were right answer not wrong; if they consider yours wrong, they just say it's wrong & give you the calculated score. Can somethings really be that subjective? I'm going to try and research the questions via another source and see if I can get different result. If that's the case then I may have an appeal to the test results scoring based in those questions that possibly could have more than one way for an answer to be considered correct.! Impressive and helpful but priceyThis app is very impressive. At first, I didn’t use any of the options that had to change the mistakes, but by accident, I pressed that green, the top left, and to my surprise, I started reading what it said and was so surprised how it caught the mistakes and how easily it was to change them. I also really like how they added the number row to the keyboard. My previous phone had that when I upgraded, the keyboard no longer had that which is why I was searching for a new keyboard. I kinda got frustrated and just stopped and came across Grammarly and kept it now I’m glad I did. The main reason I like it or I should say love it is the part where it will improve what you have written. For example, if you want to sound compassionate, you can choose that option and it will do that for you, which is truly an amazing feature. So far, I’m liking it, and I am very much leaning towards purchasing the premium, but it is kind of pricey which is why I am only giving it four stars. I think that it could be just a little lower and that would be the only reason why four stars, but besides that, it’s a great app, especially when texting and communicating with others and you want to revise your message to where others will understand it and not perceive it wrongly which has happened to me in the past..JennelouVersion: 5.3.0

It's good, but..Grammarly helps you fix wordy sentences and short stories. I was writing a school essay with Grammarly, it was of course helping but it was giving me suggestions to change words that didn't need to be changed. Such as ‘for’ to ‘of’. I didn't need these words changed, so I deleted it, that card kept popping up. Even when I've made a mistake, sometimes it doesn't recommend another word, or an option to take it out. Grammarly helps but it doesn't teach. Which is helpful time-wise but not efficient for learning. It's a good service but I wouldn't use it as a teacher. Sometimes Grammarly autocorrects real words and phrases, but when I type them again it'll autocorrect again. So what about the undo button? Well, that doesn't work for me, I mean it works, but it's very laggy. One thing I think is really useful is the Grammarly tone detector. Let's say you want to sound confident in a story, the tone detector will tell you what it sounds like to readers, if it's not what you think it sounds like, then you can change. A downside to that is it doesn't tell you how you might fix it. It should have a section where you can select a tone and Grammarly will tell you how to make it sound like said tone. Although that would most likely be a premium. So, I do not mean to come off as offensive but fix some bugs, and consider my suggestion. RE: RESUME BUILDER RECOMMENDATIONGrammarly has always been a great app. The only recommendation I can think of Is I wish Grammarly had a resume builder integrated into their system as a mode that has an on and off option switch. When it is on, it has the knowledge of what to expect out of the résumé. It should have the option to scan as it would do a regular word check or upload your resume to the Grammarly system. If it's uploaded to the system, it will make proper adjustments by the sections of the résumé and makes the appropriate adjustments accordingly from there. It should give you the reasons why you should accept those adjustments. For example, you have to be careful and avoid the use of “FILLER WORDS,” which is a silent killer on your résumé, and this is where I think GRAMMARLY EXPERTISE CAN COME IN AND QUICKLY MITIGATE THE ISSUE and can show up and show out by replacing those words with a much more eligible, suitable word selection or sentence. A second example where it helps your resume come alive by reminding you what is missing, like a sentence that lacks strong action words or MEASURABLE RESULTS THAT INCLUDES QUANTIFIABLE ACHIEVEMENTS that impress and angle the reader on what you accomplished at your job. Then give you the option of choosing a pre-built sentence that already includes it. This configuration will tremendously become a game changer that will provide significant help to a group of individuals that does not have the time to wait on a professional but still be able to enjoy a professional experience in the palm of their hands. Grammarly reviewIf you’re horrible with grammar I’d recommend. It has some of the basics for free, there’s also a premium which has a lot more corrections and uses. Something that annoys me is that I’ll add a needed comma in a long sentence, but it tells me that it’s not supposed to be there. When I take the comma out, though, it puts it in again as a “premium” mistake. I personally, know enough grammar to know when to put a comma in front of a conjunction and when not to, but it is a bit annoying to be told you're wrong just to have it be added to the premium so that you can buy it. Another thing (which I believe is a bug), is that it doesn’t take things into full context. There’s been times when I might say my and it tries to change it to mr. when it’s completely out of context. There have also been times when it takes half of one sentence and half of another and assumes that they’re one sentence, even though I put a period between them. It then tells me that I need to clarify, but of course it doesn’t make sense cause they’re two different sentences! One last thing, Grammarly is not in favor of long sentences or “unneeded” words. While this is good when writing emails, and such, if you are writing a story or essay, which requires these things, you need to be aware that Grammarly will try to take out as many adverbs, adjectives, transition words, and other little things. I actually put in a sentence from one of Jane Austen’s books, and Grammarly was appalled by all the extra little bits and pieces of words and phrases she had in one sentence. Lifetime UserI started using Grammarly back in 2019 when I became a personal assistant. It has been such a helpful app that I will probably use Grammarly for the rest of my life! I struggle with Dyslexia and ADHD, so this becomes a lifesaver every day when writing emails or texts. It allows me to confidently send important emails and texts without the fear of embarrassing myself over the grammatical mistakes I often make when my mind races and I sometimes literally see letters and numbers differently. It is super quick and easy to use, as it can be installed on your iPhone keyboard and your laptop's desktop. As a person in my 30s, it has been very helpful for my professional career. Of course, it is not always 100% perfect, but the good outweighs the bad for sure. One of the more annoying things that happens every now and then is when using the feature on iMessage / texting from a cell phone. I might have difficulty inserting text from Grammarly, or it might delete my text. This, of course, is annoying when I have to rewrite my text, and sometimes, due to my ADHD, I forget what I said! Loved this app a year ago…This app is amazing! I use it on my iPad since that is what I use for all my assignments for college. I don’t have internet at home so I hadn’t updated my iPad for almost 2 years (because automatic updates don’t work with no WiFi and I forgot.) When I Switched from iOS 16 to iOS 18, I discovered that last year during the iOS 17 update Apple changed the function of the globe key on external keyboards. Before the update, I could use the globe key, and a list would pop up of all the keyboards downloaded, including third-party keyboards. Now, the only way to switch to third party keyboards is to display the keyboard on screen, THEN click the globe key on screen to switch to the Grammarly keyboard. I use a magic keyboard made by Apple, so I don’t understand why I have to go through extra steps just to change my keyboard to the Grammarly keyboard. It’s extremely frustrating and apple refuses to change it back to the way it was. I hope Grammarly will support their users and contact Apple to fix this back to the way it was. This new update ruins the seamless use of the keyboard offered by Grammarly. I love Grammarly!I love Grammarly! As a college student this app is A game changer! It catches all spelling/grammatical mistakes you make in your writing & helps you make the proper corrections very quickly! It’s like spell check but so much more accurate and helpful! Almost daily, I receive compliments on my writing, “You are such a great writer!” or “I wish I could write like that.” “You can!” I enthusiastically reply. “Grammarly Premium is the ticket!” Although I wouldn't leave home without it, Grammarly still needs to refine its program further. It repeatedly fails to suggest the capitalization of “i” when necessary. Additionally, small but critical mistakes (e.g., missing end quotes) do slip through the app’s cracks; a final writer review is imperative before a written piece is finalized. But these drawbacks and oversights pale in comparison to Grammarly’s benefits. The Premium version is worth every cent and more! Time and Life SaverI have used Grammarly since its initial availability in 2009. In whatever iteration of the program that I have used, it has been uniquely effective in facilitating clear expression of written and oral communication. I used it in my professional life to prepare healthcare-related reports; it was also used in my personal life to facilitate communication with family and friends. Recently, I have utilized it in my creative life as a non-fiction writer of history. In addition to spelling and grammar checking its most recent features include a” tone detector” with options to present rewrites of the input provided by the user to emphasize various emotional tones (I.e., Compassionate vs friendly ) as well as potential user profiles(ie, professional vs podcast ) It has been invaluable beyond what words can communicate in a review. Feedback to get a 5 star reviewHi. As a person on SSDI and with a part time job I would highly recommend having the ability and flexibility in your business to offer scholarships to those in need. People like me would love to get off government programs and get the job that good writing habits could help grant. I gave this 3 out of 5 stars because I believe in your business and your a ability to honor my requests to provide scholarships to those that would qualify for such help based off government assistance proof or the proof of being disabled or low income by showing any form whether it’s via Medicare/Medicaid card or EBT card or even information found on a state ID that indicates a mental health disability. Product is helpful writing work messages. It makes suggestions but doesn’t educate.I find that Grammarly help me to write and spell better. It makes suggestions about changing sentences, but doesn’t educate you on how to do it. I also find the often times it makes small suggestions that I’m not needed correct. While it helped me to be more concise with business letters, text or faxes. It doesn’t help me at all a story teller. I am currently writing a book which will be titled the uncommon life of a common Joe. It’s basically story based on my life, but the thing is is a story and Grammarly at times seems to be far too tight and it’s the termination of what terms of me or not. I also often write in Portuguese and appears that the dictionary they use is pretty good however oh cancellation program that can’t pick up the nuances that are often used in a foreign language, so it wants me to correct or delete them and I don’t see where I can add them as I am not a certified translator. I did however, live in Brazil for several years and travel back-and-forth from there in my work for nearly 40 years. When I Brazilians they think I’m a native and they’re surprise when I tell him I’m not I also speak Spanish, but when I speak Spanish, they think I’m Brazilian. So many kind words or phrases used in Portuguese or Spanish the dictionaries simply don’t understand. That being said they’re pretty darn good on their corrections of my spelling in Portuguese. I also feel that once you start using them that for go to premium if you want to get anything done and I don’t find the price to be that great. Especially now many of the thing Grammarly does. I was recommended by my two recently graduated UW daughters, probably tired after so many times that this mother of theirs, a Spanish-speaking, but! Graduated with an associate's degree from a college-level institution, I had previously attended right after we immigrated and became legal residents! Excellent system, buggy app – 3.5 starsI recently tried out the Grammarly app, and while there were a few issues, overall, it has significantly improved my communication. One of the problems I encountered was with the keyboard, which sometimes jumps around and makes it difficult to select words. Additionally, it occasionally imports words into the wrong part of the document. Another issue is that the app doesn't allow for enough variation in language usage. For example, when I intentionally use the word 'y’all.' The app even tried to correct it as I voice dictated this review. I am the president of a queer country/western dance organization, and the word “y’all” is both gender-neutral and thematically appropriate. I’m certain others make intentional word choices that deviate from standard grammar rules. It would be nice if the Grammarly app allowed that type of personalization. Despite these issues, I plan to continue using Grammarly because it has done wonders for how my messages are received. Beneficial App Yet Minor IssuesI am a 30-year-old woman who has dyslexia. I have dealt with this learning disability my whole life. This app has been beneficial for me, especially for work emails. It’s great! HOWEVER…Grammerly has potential. If you look at most other Grammer-correcting apps, you'll find there inaccurate, misleading, or cost lots of money. Grammarly, however, is different to a certain extent. They have lots of features like setting goals, seeing your own writing habits, and even a plagiarism checker (which sadly, requires a subscription but I'll get into that later). Grammarly is mostly Accurate, at the very least providing a "Private Dictionary" that you add words to further personalize your account. (You can use Grammerly anonymously to though) but lately, they've become a money grab. They added these little "Premium alerts" system that highlights text in yellow to basically show you how wrong you are and how right they are and that you should give them your wallet. They've gone freemium/premium. Yeah, I don't think so! I understand needing to make a living, especially during all this, but you don't have to cash grab your customers. Maybe, at the VERY least, put banner ads in here or add in-app purchases that we can pay for ONCE. Also, can we take a dark mode into consideration? I have VERY sensitive eyes, and this all-white and neon in here gives me migraines. I am reinstalling because of a misunderstanding that a Verizon wireless customer service rep had when my iPhone updated from iOS 17 to iOS 26. It works great, but with one very annoying issueOverall, it’s a fantastic spellchecker that, when used casually like for general texting and posting, is great. It’s fast enough to catch errors so you don’t hit ”post” without it correcting you on the right ’your’. However, the biggest problems occur when someone writes very long lines and paragraphs of text. I’m a story writer ad I write most of my stories in Notes, using Grammarly as an active spellchecker. When I make errors during paragraphs, it will correct them. However, if I leave that paragraph, it will not give me the option to fix an error, and if it does, because it’s in another paragraph, no changes are made. The BIGGEST issue comes when after I’ve written about 20-25 paragraphs and I click the G button to scan for errors, it’ll give me a big list (as it should) of errors, say about 15-16. Some of them or an author’s quirks, so I either add them to the dictionary or skip, but the second I see a genuine error and want Grammarly to fix it, the system bugs out and deletes all other error notifications except for the error I wanted to be fixed. So it will only fix that one error when I know there are about 10 genuine errors on my text, and say everything is ”squeaky clean”. And that happens for EVERY error, meaning I have to click the G button, wait for it to scan, skip the text I already skipped, find the next genuine error, click to fix it, have Grammarly bug out so it displays only that one error, fix it, then repeat. It’s super annoying. Note, that this doesn’t affect what I wrote negatively, so it doesn’t make changes that I don’t want to be changed. The errors still exist, it just takes ages to clear what should be clearable in a few clicks. More irritating than usefulGrammarly didn’t last long on my phone. After a couple weeks of use, my irritation for the keyboard only grew as it became obvious that, at least on the free version, add to dictionary was functionally the same as ignore. Words of emphasis were no bueno, as were modifications of existing words to change their form. Wish it didn't lagI use grammarly online all the time and I love it. But the iPhone version is laggy. It doesn't pick up all of my keystrokes the way the stock keyboard or even other third party keyboards do. It often misses when I hit the space bar and some other random letters and it just overall feels sluggish trying to keep up with my typing. Another big problem that made me switch away from using it was its insistence on correcting the same word over and over and over and over and over again unless I typed exactly what I wanted and then selected the "quoted" version of it above. I'm used to the stock keyboard knowing that if I typed something a certain way and it corrects it, when I backspace and type it again the same way, it was intentional. Grammarly doesn't understand this and corrects it over and over unless you go out of your way to tell it that spelling was intentional. As someone who types fairly fast, I got irritated really quickly having the app correcting me in that way, especially when most of the time they weren't even spelling mistakes, but correctly spelled words that it assumed we're spelling errors due to it trying to predict the sentence. I preferred grammarly simply because I could type out a whole chunk of text and it would then give me suggestions on how to fix my mistakes at the end. Hate the new cosmetic update.Okay, I love this app and the service it provides HOWEVER the new cosmetic update is the absolute worst. Overrated & under deliversHonestly, not to knock grammarly, but for the price of their services you would think the keyboard functionality would be more efficient. Just for starters I'm finger swiping through this review w/ GBoard and typing faster than I can think of what I'm typing. The fact grammarly doesn't have a swift style typing function when every other free keyboard does is ridiculous. I mean if the base keyboard doesn't have any of the features every other keyboard offers, its automatically a second tier keyboard so you would think as a base offering they would include swipe to type, themes, etc. As for the premium features, that's where all the appeal is. Laggy to the point of being unusableUpdate: this has still not improved and beyond that, the new inclusivity additions cannot be opted out. This is a problem because now, while I write a paper about a time period in history that contained slavery, I get constant “corrections” suggesting that I don’t call them slaves. Who is this actually meant to be helping? Because whitewashing the term slavery in a paper will not help anyone. For software this expensive, I would expect at least minimum functionality. Grammarly doesn’t provide that on the iPhone. It was always laggy, but since the last update, it has become useless. The app lags horribly in the Pages app and refuses to produce any results. Instead, it scans the text and leaves an empty box where the results typically appear. It struggles with the most basic tasks, and if you click to correct a typo you just made, you need to hit the button repeatedly to actually change the word or punctuation to what it recommends. These tech companies have honestly lost their minds, they’ve become so obsessed with obtaining everyone’s data so they can sell our info to the highest bidder (because remember: no app is really free unless your data replaces cash as the preferred method of payment) that now even freaking grammar checking companies are pretending their apps “just can’t function without full access” to everything there is to know about you just for the convenience of a couple of spelling corrections & some well placed commas. Full of bugs, that support won't addressI have written and in the process of editing/proofreading it, so i thought grammarly would be a good choice, well it is BUT , my book is over 70k words, but you can not import that file, since grammarly has limitations on the size, so i can only edit 8k words at a time, and God forbid you are trying to edit on an ipad (have ipad pro 11, 4th gen), you will be left with a 2*2 inch of working space to read, a lot of time it will stop saving, because it saves only online (God forbid of local save) so unless you copy and paste to "pages" you will loose all the edits that you do or have done. the "undo" is a disaster, suggestion that you choose to ignore temporarily stay in the way, suggestions will be hidden behind the keyboard, so you have to close the keyboard many times to access it, tons of bugs, and when i addressed it to their support, they would ignore what i say, and suggest things like "check your internet connection" , even though i said my connection is fine, and as per this typing i have recorded the issue proving that my connection is fine, but no one listens. tons of bugs and limitations. You would think as much as grammarly is advertised they would listen to constructive criticism with bugs that deserve fixing, but no, they ask for my file, MY BOOK, so no am not sending the file since it is irrelevant. I would love if that App works without the glitches and bugs, but it is and sadly enough, their support is not as supportive. no one cares at grammarly, lost hours and hours of work, their app refuses to sync and all is lost. if you attempt to export, it will not save the changes, if you attempt to print a pdf, all will become a jumbled up mess. awful and shameful.JimblgVersion: 6.13.1

Love Grammarly — Hate the keyboardI absolutely LOVE Grammarly for its proofreading and writing enhancement capabilities. I've been using the Grammarly keyboard for a couple of years, but I've decided to switch back to the standard Apple keyboard. Unfortunately, the Grammarly keyboard just doesn't perform as well as I'd hoped. One of my favorite features of the Apple keyboard is the ability to easily slide the space bar to correct misspellings or add/delete words. This functionality is not as effective on the Grammarly keyboard. I've noticed that I tend to make more errors when using it, as the space bar's different placement disrupts my muscle memory, leading to words being typed together. Additionally, some key placements seem off, resulting in even more typos. Without the convenient space sliding feature to fix these errors, the Grammarly keyboard has become less functional for me. While I typically have good grammar—often scoring better than 90% of users—this keyboard's drawbacks outweigh its benefits for my writing process. For now, I’m giving it a 1-star rating and returning to a regular keyboard.
