Best Bible App I’ve Ever Found*Allow me to preface this with: I’ve don’t know that I’ve EVER reviewed an app before. However, this app deserved my honest feedback because it is honestly that good* I’ve downloaded and paid for many Bible apps over the years. I became a believer a little later in life (in my late 20’s), so I often need scripture broken down a bit/explained in different words to help me truly understand/relate/implement the word of God into my life. I did the free trial of this app—and I won’t lie, 99.9% of me figured I’d cancel after a week because of all my past experiences w/Bible applications. Not this one. At all. I don’t even remember the cost I paid to keep it for the year, but I truly did not care because the presentation of scripture, how peaceful and serene it is— and no joke, it’s as though the words/scripture you need to hear are literally on your phone when you need them almost every day. The best thing is you can actually set a time each day when you want to have your scripture/daily verses sent to you. I do mine right before going to bed after a long day—which is when I usually need God’s word/comfort the most. The verses are all broken down into bite-sized pieces and it’s never too much— just the right amount to stop and read before bed, waiting for the subway, etc. Not having found a church close to me as I’ve just moved, this app has helped & reminded me to continue to keep close and good with God :) It brings more peace than I can explain.. Priceless daily reminders lift the spiritThis is one of my favorite apps. Everyday it is a joyful lift, when I see the notification for a fresh passage, click into it, see a beautiful background and nice music, and most of all, a wonderful passage from the Word that seems to amazingly apply to whatever situation you are dealing with. I love that you can set the time, and the constant nourishment I receive daily. And just as you might feel discouraged or overwhelmed, here comes a passage to get your mind back on God's love for you. That's just the icing and mostly what I use it for, but it has longer readings and scriptural applications at your fingertips - not obnoxious parody of what studying should be, like some apps. I have shared the app with people who even struggle with or are not yet of full faith, and it is just as excellent to them. They have expressed the same joy I get from it, and from what's been said to me, I believe it has actually helped them with their faith and study interests, and just plain lifted them up, as it does me. Sometimes a single verse that pops up while you're studying some other chapter in real life can redirect your thinking. The Holy Spirit guides you, and who knows whether or not he's even leading you here. One thing is certain - it serves as a spiritual tool, assisting you as you run the race and strengthen your endurance by any means necessary to reach the finish line, no matter your earthly circumstances. This app has helped me tremendously!!I can’t thank you enough for this! As a young teen Christian, I’ve been dealing with anxiety lately, and I knew that the Lord would take care of me, however, I have struggled to find the faith that I so desperately need. I knew that reading the Bible everyday would help me, but I’m ashamed to admit it’s hard to make a habit to read it everyday. Not with this app. This app sends me notifications everyday so I can read just a single verse. You wouldn’t think this could make a big difference just to read one verse, but it does! I’m not saying you should replace your Bible with this app because it’s very important to read the entire Bible, but if you are in need of some faith quickly, this app can show you a verse quickly. On top of that, this app plays beautiful music and show’s beautiful scenery in the background. You can swipe to keep reading more verses! Never change the verse by verse flipping each page.Honestly I was raised Christian. I just never really read bible. I had a very hard time comprehending, and overwhelmed with all the versus on each page. I absolutely love the flipping of pages and each page gives a verse as you go. It helps me focus and pause on it, which also helps me to read it over and over if need be until I can grasp and comprehend it much better. The Lord has touch my heart, the Holy Spirit gave me the desire to read His holy word, which led me to also pray more. I’m at peace and happy that I can now read the Bible everyday even a couple times a day. Tears rolling down as I type this; helps with my fight with addictionI can’t hold back tears as I write this review ... God bless whoever designed this beautifully , dare I say flawlessly designed app ; it has been so incredibly helpful to me, I’ve been imprisoned by drugs for Over 8 years . Despite being raised in a Christian family and hearing about God since I could remember from my parents , church , etc , I never really felt like I was sure that He was even real. I was always a skeptical type and I believed in reason and logic over faith and thus it was hard for me me to accept the faith of my parents. When I got into college I began experimenting with drugs which lead me down a downward spiral of depression, anxiety , my soul was just exhausted and so beyond hopeless. I didn’t see a way out and I thought I was destined to die an addict. But just recently as of two years ago, I came to Christ at age 27 and He revealed himself to me in such a way and healed me of my disease . For akmkst a year I lived in the Spirit, filled with such peace and joy that no human understanding could even attempt to explain it . I didn’t need drugs I felt free from my chains that I was in for so long. Unfortunately though I recently relapsed and have been stuck in this hole for almost a year now and I know Christ is enough for me and I have faith that I WILL overcome this battle once and for all because His blood was she’d for me and everyone who believes in it’s power . Amazing devotional app!I have been trying to read some devotionals from a book for a while, but I keep forgetting. This app helps me keep up with bible reading by giving you notifications when they give you a daily verse! This app also has sections from the Bible that you can read and also has multiple different versions to choose from! It also has very cute backgrounds for when you are reading a verse or parts of the Bible. The music is also beautiful and helps you focus on the reading a little bit. The only thing that I have trouble with this app is when I go to read the daily verse. If the notification pops up but you click on the app, it won’t show you the verse, and the notification goes away, so you can’t really find it that easily if you didn’t read it. If you can read the whole thing in the notification, try to do that. Could you please try to do something like clicking on the notification and it taking you to the daily verse (if you haven’t done that already; I haven’t tried it) or the app kinda resetting when they give you the daily verse and show you that when you first get on the app. Other than that, this app is perfect!.Pokemon fan3882Version: 5.5

A God WinkI downloaded this app as I began to dive deeper into my spiritual journey. I started reading The Bible and I wanted to expand my horizons with different scriptures and readings daily. The Bible App has allowed me to do so. I set a daily notification at the same time every day so when I wake up each morning there is a Bible Verse awaiting me on my Home Screen. The Verse seems to always touch a piece of my heart and it’s exactly what I need in that moment whether it’s God asking me to Trust in Him or to Surrender. I call it a God Wink because there are no such thing as coincidences, but simply God speaking to and through me. As I open my heart to God on this journey it becomes easier to understand and read the verses. God bless this app! And it’s reminder alarm!This is such a wonderful way to get your needed bible readings done when you’re very busy, and you can’t find the time to make yourself sit down and read from the book itself. There is an alarm that you can set, so it will chime on your phone at whatever time you choose (I chose 11am because that’s when my kids start to drive me INSANE and I could really use a reminder from God, about what’s actually important.) It will chime on your phone like you’ve got a text, and there it is, this beautiful notification with what I believe God uses to give you his words for your day and something he knows you need to hear. Incredible AppMy sister shared this app with me a few weeks ago and it is truly incredible. The music that plays when you read the verses, the scrolling like flipping a page, and everything about it just makes my time with God feel very intimate when I am reading daily verses and able to go through some of the devotionals. Really grateful to have had this app shared with me, especially during everything going on right now, it couldn’t have been better timing. We have also shared it with our Dad who loves the app as well. I have used apps in the past such as the Bible app that is very well known and found that some of the devotionals included someone’s biased opinion instead of focusing on what God is saying to us in the Bible. Fantastic resource to walk in the spiritI have downloaded multiple bible apps on my phone but this one stands out !!! I absolutely love the daily reminder feature that gives you a bible verse. I set mine for 4pm because that’s when my day typically slows down work wise. I derive meaning from each day’s verse and they are so random that sometimes verses I haven’t heard or gone back to in years pop up on my phone and I am left feeling emotional, inspired, and motivated to keep on striving to walk in the spirit. Yesterday I got the verse “ Come to me all you who labor and are heavy burdened and I will give you rest”. This struck me deeply because it perfectly related to this transitional period in my life. My ExperienceI am a senior in high school right now. And times are pretty tough right now. My whole senior year has been very difficult for me mentally and emotionally. I took everything for granted. Kind peopleThis an amazing app! At first I thought it was quite expensive, but then I saw that they have explanations for the verses and also devotionals! An Absolutely Excellent APP!It’s nice often you find an APP that is what it appears to be on the surface. But this one is outstanding! I am very pleased with the way I am offered a daily Scripture Verse to review and add a comment or not, and then share it with different venues. I have so far used Facebook. Everybody uses Facebook and there’s so much folks put on Facebook that you would think you couldn’t post anything else that folks would stop and read. That’s what I think anyway. But to my surprise, I have been covered up with replies to this APP with several asking where did I get it? But most of all, I am very pleased with the replies responding with questions or comments such as “I was just thinking of this verse yesterday and it helped me so very much!”. And those who comment as “I’ve not heard that verse before. It touches me in my heart and I needed it to get through the day. Thank you so much”. Misleading translationI just started using this bible app yesterday and I first wanna say that I think it’s a great app and I really appreciate you guys. There was just one thing I noticed in John 3:17 that really caught my attention. The King James Version which would be the most accurate translation from the Greek in the New Testament says this, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” I couldn’t help but notice that your version says that Jesus did not come to judge the world instead of condemn. Jesus actually did judge the world along with his disciples. He said the whole world hates me because I testify of it that its work are evil. I’m fully aware that there are many different translations (some less reliable than others) but I would advise using a different version at least for this verse. There in time of needI have the app on my phone. I should read it every day but I don’t. I keep the app on my first screen so I see it. When I need help, I open it and read some quotes. God’s words are so powerful and comforting. When you think things have gone bad and you feel scared or troubled, it’s comforting to know that you are not alone and you are protected, no matter what. To know that, to know you aren’t fighting by yourself, to know that what you feel is okay and accepted by Him; that’s the reassurance I need to look up and push on. The app’s calm pictures help slow the moment and slow the brain so I can be calm and read the quote. Bible supplementThis is an amazing app if you use it for what it is intended which is to encourage people to read the Bible more. It does this through daily notifications at a certain time of your choice and pictorial renderings of each verse to help it stick in your mind accompanied by focusing music which you can turn off. It is not a replacement for self study though as it does not contain the whole bible, only inspirational verses which can be good introduction to God but to get to know Him deeper, we must hear his admonitions as well. My only complaint is there is an automatic notification on Sundays of a reading which I wish I could change to Saturday as that is my personal day of worship or add an additional reminder for that day. Excellent & Inspiring!I have had this app for a little over a year now and in the beginning I shyed away from it. But it’s actually really great! I love to wake up in the morning and start my day by reading bible verses with the song Gymnopedie No 1 By Erik Satie. I didn’t know there was the music feature till nearly half a year later! OOPS 😂 So glad I decided to keep the app for as long as I have. It definitely is worth it, especially for learning the word and heart of God enjoyably and in a sense faster! It’s a nice alternative if you don’t feel like reading chapters in the bible. Just wish they had the Bible to read as a feature, but the Bible studies is pretty awesome for teaching some of the most important stories! That and the images are beautiful! I love this appI hate to say that I don’t have time to read, but I am limited in spare time. The convenience of this app brings the Bible to me at any time of day or night, and I have read more scripture in the last year than I have in my 30 years of life. The music is wonderful. I like that you can set a timer on it to have it greet you any time of day with a daily verse, and that it gives you timely passages to read (for example, it’ll give you relevant passages at Easter and Christmas and such). I also like that I can sync it to my Mac and have it pinned in a widget, so I have the daily verse right on my desktop. An added bonus is I use this Mac for work, attached to a display for students to see, and they often glimpse the Bible widget… which is good because these college kids need Jesus..Gow fan!!!!!!!!!!!!Version: 9.4

A very good app!As being a busy person I tend to think busy and never really have time to calm my mind and thank our great creator for his powerful work on this beautiful planet, so this app helped me study the Bible and pray to God about the wonderful things he said and did through Jesus. In this app you can share the verses and also ‘like’ them by clicking a little heart at the bottom screen so you can go to a separate page and see all your favorite verses. The verses are from the Old Testament and the New Testament so they are really random. If you are looking for an easy way to study the Bible and learn more about God this app offers that and more it also is children friendly and can help your kids learn about the Bible! The CreekAny time is right to get closer to the Lord not just in these times. Your gentle music with the real scenes causes me to slow way, way down and “let go”. At age 74, and around the world twice, meaning to all of the things put on our plates becomes more vivid. Out in public there is little music like what you provide-only noise. You even slow my blood pressure which for a very independent woman at this age is quite surprising. Your app reminds me of an old saying having been in the woods at time up in the mountains. It goes like this, “If it weren’t for the rocks in its path, the stream would have no song”. If you stand next to the rushing creek trying to get down to the ocean, the sound of the water slamming into this unexpected rocks is stunning and more than beautiful. Conflicting thoughts on this appI love the idea, and I love that I can set an alarm each day. The background is really pretty and I can go see which scripture I’ve liked recently. There are a few downsides though. The music although lovely, doesn’t learn what you like even though there is a thumbs up/down. It’s often not even worship music. I’ve had music from ballets/ operas and it will go from a choir singing kyrie to a song from Peer Gynt. Weird. Also the daily Bible reading is messed up and I’ve reported it but it continues to offer me the same thing as my daily reading a couple days in a row, then something new, then back to the same thing. The only app I’m obsessed withThis app has changed my life. As someone who has recently found religion, this app has made reading the Bible so helpful and enjoyable. Having verses explained gives you your own bible study experience and then being able to have the devotional option is so helpful to have a daily prayer and action for the day. It has made my connection to God feel so personal and easy for someone who didn’t know where to begin. My days have been filled with so much joy and positivity. Not exactly a Bible BUTYou cannot access the whole Bible on this app (at least not on the free version) only Bible stories and daily Bible verses. But there is very peaceful music that you can flip through different songs, only thing is that you cannot go back. Say you liked a song but you accidentally skipped it, you cannot go back. Another thing that would be worth improving is that the music stops when you turn off your phone. I usually read my Bible verse and then stay on the app to listen to the music. But sometimes I’ll click the off button on my phone, hoping the music will continue playing. Only it does not. I truly wish you would fix these things as I do love this app and would recommend to friends if only these little issues could be rectified. Extremely disappointedUpon downloading the app I was so hopeful and optimistic that I could further my journey with God with something so convenient and accessible like my phone. I was scared it would be behind a paywall as I was highly interested in this app. I took the survey and it got me even more more drawn in, I was reading everything and it was all things that aligned exactly with the reason I downloaded the app in the first place. Unfortunately, at the end of the survey I was met with the paywall. it’s really disgusting that they exploit the word of god for a quick buck and give hope to people only to find out it isn’t accessible. In this economy not everyone can afford $60 yearly for a subscription, myself included. Aside from that I find it extremely exploitative to the bible.. would Jesus have approved of this? Who knows, but it certainly wasn’t in his practice to charge people money to hear him spread gospel.
