You are balanced on the edge of a cliff in an old rusting car.

The sun is setting behind the horizon and night will soon fall. With no immediate means of escape, perhaps all that's left is to attempt to feel some connection with the world at the end of it all.

Far from Noise is a story told through dialogue choices. As day fades to night, experience quiet moments of interaction with a variety of creatures and witness the transformative forces of nature as they happen around you. Through conversation with a welcome companion, begin to discover your reasons for being out there, your relationship with the world, life and death, and if you'll see tomorrow.

Includes

- A dynamic, naturally flowing conversation
- Multiple endings driven by choices that shape the narrative
- An original musical score by Geoff Lentin that flows with the story
- A rich landscape that shifts and fades as time progresses
- Narrative events that change with multiple playthroughs

Far from Noise Positive Reviews

GorgeousWhat a beautiful story. I very much loved this game, very relaxing and calming. The one thing I wish it had was opposing dialogues though, a lot of what the character dialogue choices meant the same thing. Which is probably staying true to the character but doesn’t give much creative liberty to the person putting themselves in the characters shoes. For instance I would have continued to stargazing scene for longer. Or with the badger, it was a good lesson, I just wish the character would have fully been able to change her mind about the badger. Great game though, beautiful art and a nice pace. It was nice how we could pause the game..Version: 1.1

Very ResonantIf you’re looking for a game, this is not it. I found it heated my phone as someone else commented, and the interaction is minimal, and I would guess that there are not multiple “endings” to be had as there are in “choices” games. But this is not a game. In my experience “playing” through, this wasn’t the point. I found the whole experience to be profoundly allegorical. I found metaphor after metaphor in the discussion between the driver and his environment. I’m sure I missed some as the authors have shown admirable restraint from making every sentiment explicit. While I wouldn’t call the characters complex, the ideas and perspectives were often immediately relatable. The characters are clearly not the point, but rather the story they act in and the existence they discuss. The narrative also forced some perspectives that initially felt more alien (irrational fears of material creatures primarily) but was able to bring things back to this space of relevance without fail. This is a well tailored piece of art that very successfully resonated with my philosophical side. I feel no need to immediately replay it, but I am very much looking forward to discovering how I relate to the journey a year or so from now when it crosses my mind to rediscover it. To the developers: thank you for a wonderful experience. I wish I could articulate my thoughts and feelings as well as you have in this piece of art..Version: 1.0

Amazing.First off, this really isn’t a “game.” It’s even less interactive than so-called “walking sims.” You have dialogue choices and that’s it. But that’s really not what this experience is about. If you want gameplay you’re in the wrong place, and it irks me so many people have slammed this game for being “boring.” IT IS NOT A GAME. How did anyone spend money on this without realizing what they were getting into?! To those folks, it’s your own fault for not being more discerning. This is a story. A slow and thoughtful one that requires patience. At times it is even quite funny. But it can also be emotionally crushing. If you are willing to immerse yourself in the experience and take the story at its own pace, you will discover something moving, wonderful, intense, sad, and thought-provoking. I’ve rarely in my life has such a strong emotional reaction to a piece of media as I did to this. Absolutely 100% recommended for anyone interested in a bittersweet story about one’s own meaning and place in the world..Version: 1.1

Mostly greatI would have given this 5 stars, except for one major issue I have with it. I originally watched a play through of this game, and loved it so much that I decided to buy it for myself when I’m feeling anxious and depressed. It is very relaxing and emotional and the artwork is beautiful. **Vague spoilers ahead** The one issue I have with it is if you give negative answers too much, it seems like the game gives up on you and you get a really depressing ending. As someone with depression, it was kind of shocking to me since I had just been honest with my answers, and it felt like the game was trying to tell me that I was beyond helping or saving. **Vague spoilers end** So I do not recommend this game if you have clinical depression. It might end up making you feel worse..Version: 1.1

Simply beautiful.. Overwhelmed with emotions. This game is a work of art. It fills you with tons of emotions.. And makes you wonder what life REALLY is! The story is priceless, the conversations are poetic, and when it all ends, you feel sad that it's over. I couldn't put down my iPad for an hour! I still feel dazzled over it all. I honestly don't know if I should be happy.. or sad! Anyways.. I should stop writing down a bunch of junk and just say, this game is great and I HIGHLY recommend you play it 👍.Version: 1.0

A beautiful experienceThis type of game might not be for everyone, but for people that appreciate the real thought beauty and time put in to this game its incredible. I will never forget the message i got from this game, if you dont mind a more slow paced experience that has you more of a spectator i would by all means recommend this game. I would love to see more stuff like this in the future.Version: 1.0

Short but sweet. What an experience. This game (if you can even call it that), is an experience that forces you to think about life. It makes you connect your emotions to the characters it introduces to you, and when it’s over you’re left thinking. I wish it was longer, but Far From Noise will always hold a sentimental place in my heart..Version: 1.0

AmazingI love the art style of this game, and I was really submerged in the game, I played for about an hour and a half and didn’t even realize. I also like the fact that it gives you different emotions every second of it, one moment it’s happy, another you’re on the edge of your seat.. or.. cliff.. It was money well spent.Version: 1.0

Moved to tearsFirst things first, this is not a game. It makes you think and interpret life, so don't spend the money if you were looking for younger kids. By the message it conveys is so beautiful. I was in tears by the end because I could relate to it so much. Highly recommend and is definitely worth the money.Version: 1.0

Great game!Love this game! Been playing it on and off throughout the pandemic, okay mostly not playing it, though I have a game on my phone and another on my iPad for the subtle differences. It’s a great distraction and I feel a little bit better after 15 minutes or so..Version: 1.1

Philosophical and heart wrenchingI absolutely recommend this... I hesitate to even call it a game. The scenery and dialogue is incredible. The meaning of life and living in solitude is explored. It covers so many ideas be it existentialism or transcendentalism. I hope if I’m ever on tightrope I could have that sort of content and thought..Version: 1.0

Worth itI also have clinical depression and anxiety, so my answers tended to reflect that, but I enjoyed the outcome. I felt it was beautiful and fitting. That’s just me, but I wanted to add that for anyone that was worried about downloading this. It’s definitely not the happiest experience, but I cried and felt less alone afterwards..Version: 1.1

I couldn’t..I did not read the reviews for this game, I did not even read the description really. It was recommended on my game page and on sale so I purchased it. It is one of the most memorial games I’ve played to date. I was very, very surprised by the ending..Version: 1.0

What an ingenious iPad Pro AppWhat a wonderful and interactive way to bring calm and sense of self to ones own self than with this App! I gotta say that the version for iPad Pro 2nd Gen and the iPhone X do the graphics and sounds the proper device to optimally use the App! Worth the small cost!.Version: 1.0

Absolutely gorgeousThis is truly a work of art. I downloaded this game because of the cool art style, talking deer, and mention of a subject I’m learning in school- transcendentalism. I couldn’t have asked for a better game. Again, this game is a work of art..Version: 1.0

A powerful storyThis is definitely not a “game”. It’s a story, and an incredible one at that. When I finally reach the end I was deeply moved. Not all stories are in books or movies. Some stories are far from lawyers..Version: 1.1

Simply BeautifulNot so much a game as interactive art / storytelling, which I found emotionally deep and rewarding. I highly recommended the experience. Don't come into it with any particular expectations, and you will come away happy..Version: 1.0

A game I’ll always rememberWhat a wonderful experience, very deep and thoughtful, I only wish it would last longer, but that is a non issue. Buy this game and reward yourself... memorable for sure ....Version: 1.1

My Life Is A LieThe whole experience dismantles and then rebuilds your entire view of life. At a point in life where I care about nothing, it taught me that "nothing" is everything. Sick game..Version: 1.0

Amazing appForget what the others say ;) This work of art is truly amazing, while defiantly not a game; it is totally worth the price!.Version: 1.1

Nice, butReally enjoy this but it has drained my iPod Touch battery twice and I still have not finished it once. Also gets incredibly hot. It will not even open on my iPad. Probably would give it five without the issues.Version: 1.0

Love, so beautifulThis game is making me tear up as I write this. I love this game and I highly recommend this. I love it..Version: 1.0

Need helpI am unable to adjust any of the settings. I have no sound, very sluggish reading, and nothing that really holds my interest. How do I add the music etc?.Version: 1.1

Beautiful and HealingEnjoyed the story line and lessons within..Version: 1.1

Phenomenal!Highly recommend this gorgeous, immersive game! Nothing like it!.Version: 1.0

Too HotI love the game, but it literally makes my phone overheat after only playing for 10 minutes..Version: 1.1

DelightfulThis experience transforms your mental state to a place of peace and enlightenment!.Version: 1.0

BeautifulA meditative and philosophical delight..Version: 1.0

Far From Noise is Elegantly BeautifulLet’s start by saying that this game is mesmerizing. A positively excellent story game with stunning visuals provided most games with impressive visuals tend to lag, this game is designed on simplicity, but using it to their full advantage. The story was longer that I thought; thinking this was going to be a two minute experience, I was a blown away by the length. The concept of you and a deer exchanging dialog about life and death and the meaning and value of things is brilliantly executed. Far From Noise displays a captivating story with thoughtful writing and really gets the player to stop and think, it’s calming music adds so much to the world and I would not play this game without headphones. This game is perfect for what it is and if you’re looking for a truly mesmerizing story, trust me, it’s well worth the money..Version: 1.1

Ablosutley Positively Wondrous and peacefulIf you are feeling down, or even stressed, this is the game for you, I've found many of the endings, most are happy... Somewhat... But truly if you are looking for a relaxing game, this is it..Version: 1.0

Quite a lovely gameYou can tell alot of love and hardwork went into this game and the message feels so genuine and freeing ~.Version: 1.1

Absolutely amazingAnyone who's feeling down, anxious, upset - or even those who aren't... This game is one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced on a phone. Thank you guys so much for creating this..Version: 1.0

Not bad. It’s poetic and lovely, but I couldn’t help thinking there should be a bit more to it..Version: 1.1
