Manga Viewer - CBZ(CBR) Reader Customer Service

I’ve tried several comic reading apps over the years including Comic Zeal and Chunky. Chunky does a nice job, but I prefer Manga Viewer because of the number of settings that can be used to customize the reading experience. Even better for me is that it supports the Apple Keyboard. It’s very handy to have the iPad sitting upright with the keyboard folio and being able to navigate pages with the arrow keys on the keyboard. Wireless transfer over the same network works very well to import comics as well. PDFs of scanned books are handled without issue. I also like that the app continues to get support from the developers unlike other similar apps. (I’m looking at you Comic Zeal whose last update was 3 years ago!) The only additional feature I would like to see from Manga Viewer is an option to view the library of comics with larger (grid view) covers instead of just the tiny thumbnail in a list view. Just a small quibble that doesn’t take away at all from giving this a deserving 5 stars.

Honestly when I used other manga reader apps or whatever they where kinda of complicated and very weird, however this one is very simple and easy to use, and I love the fact that you can have even more features for just a dollar, you don’t even have to do that annoying subscription thing you can just pay once and that’s it, I love that a lot, I highly recommend this app!!!!

Update: App is still great but I am a little suspicious as to why the app contacts a lot of outside domains. If you have app privacy report enabled you can see what I’m referring to. This app has a bunch of features and iCloud syncing which is amazing as you’re able to seamlessly read between different devices. One of my favorite features is image fill for portrait mode. My only small complaint is that whenever I’m not connected to internet/celluar, it takes a while for the manga to show up as it’ll be stuck on “this file is organizing please wait” (very minor not a big deal).

I think this is one of the best zip file viewer for ios. I really love the app, but there’s one thing I’d like to see the improvement. when in "vertical mode (webtoon mode)", I wish I can see the image in actual size or in smaller size for ipad. if the image size small for ipad resolution, it’s very blurry and pixelated . so I want to see it in a smaller image, but there is no option for that. I wish I can reduce the image size when it’s in vertical mode. Thanks developer, and I’m looking forward to seeing the improvements near future.

Very much worth the $1 for no ads, I find my hand slips and touched the 1 small out of the way add box often. The ads were not flashy or distracting in any way. So much customization in layout and navigation I’m sure anyone could get exactly what they want from this app. I would highly recommend downloading. 10/10 no problems.

This app is great and has a lot of customization options. However, when I’m in the “Files” tab, I wish that i can have the option to decide either to view my manga/comics in grid view or list view (both with file name and progress status).

The ads aren’t that invasive, but I enjoy the application without ads at so I paid the buck. This application has a lot of features for a free manga reader and that’s amazing. The only nitpick I have right now is that the first file you load makes every other file have the same thumbnail. Would be great if that was fixed so that each file had its own unique thumbnail.

The best manga reader on the App Store. This app has so many major/critical settings required for a good readier app and none of them are locked behind a paywall. My only UI request would be: adding the thumbnail options from the ‘Recent’ tab to the ‘File” (and subsequent folders) tab.

The UI is ugly but the features are insane. If you’re just trying to read some cbz files off a drive this is perfect. I had to write a review because it has auto scrolling, a feature I didn’t even know I could get. $1 to remove ads? God tier

Fast, easy to put manga, never has failed me, plenty of options. Well worth it. If you are looking for a manga reader for offline files, this is the best you can get. Add to that the recent frequent updates and you got a banger

Just use it for 1 hour, but I can make sure it's the best app for comic out there. I like to upload my own comic to read it when I have free time. This app is doing a great job. Keep it going my friend 😁🤟

When going from single-page view to double-page view, the reader loses track of your place and displays based on the % of reading progression.

This is a bargain for 99c. I use the app to pull down cbz files from my personal cloud storage via webdav. The app renders the files great and remembers where I left off.

Like my title implies, I am very satisfied. I would like it if the cover for the comic could be shown in a large image and not just as a small icon. Otherwise, excellent work.

This is one of the better zip/pdf viewers on the market. If a bit more work was put into the UI it would be perfect.

Please add an option to reverse the progress bar or hide it altogether

Only thing missing is inability to transfer settings and manga icons to a new phone

-this is perfect to have a digital backlog of your library [ifykyk] -good customizable settings like dark mode, scroll, swipe, etc this has been my definitive way of reading comics and manga

It's $1 to unlock no ads compared to other apps hella settings and good ui this is worth the download to try out also hey pay for apps and support devs

Wonderful app for comic reading offline ‘ v’)b Download multiple file in the same time. Simple and easy to set up and read. Fast and light. Free with ad. Or $1 for happy forever. Read almost comic file, but not mobi.

Super easy to set up and works like a charm for scrolling through webtoons!

Mainly use it to read manga files, works like a charm. Premium version is extremely affordable. That being said I do run into a bug where the screen does not lock in portrait mode, I have to unlock it, move my phone to a horizontal position and then lock it again.

Visually not as appealing as the other apps but functionally great with the most settings I’ve found in any app for opening and reading CBZ files offline.

I paid to get rid of the ads since it seemed to be working great. Then, when reading manga from right to left, tapping on the screen on the left side would make it go back a page, like it’s reading it left to right. Right to left will work for a while and then it won’t so it’s frustrating. Is there a setting to fix this some how?

I love the app but there’s no way to navigate back to the file screen while in the manga. I have to close the entire application and reopen to get back to the home page.

Say there is a folder inside of the zip it will only display the folder and not the other files that are in there

Doesn’t allow for you to import from Files, nor does it even let you move around files in the app itself. Would not recommend.

No option to output original quality. Looks awful

Totally useless to me

Tried multiple cbr and cbz files that have worked on every other app that I have tested so far. But when I try to open it here a notification comes up saying ‘Extracting Please Wait’ but nothing ever happens. Developer was kind enough to provide feedback. Still no luck on my end but i appreciate the support. If I get it to work I’ll test and re rate.
