This app would be better if...Ok I love this app because I’m learning to play guitar in school and this really helps a lot, I just wish you didn’t have to pay for the games since it really helps me a lot. Great app for any age and skill level guitar player!Super easy to use! My 4 year old niece and 72 year old grandad(who can barely use a smartphone) both have been using this app since I showed them! Optional auto and manual mode. Yes their are a few adds but they are at the bottom of the screen and do not interrupt your tuning or get in the way at all, I honestly am able to do everything I need without having to close them or stop what I’m doing to watch or anything. They just kind of exist there so that we don’t have to pay for the app, which means also, yes, it’s free! Great for traveling and not having to worry about a band member taking it by mistake because it’s on your phone, which also means it’s with you almost 24/7 lol. Just open the app and start tuning! Definitely suggest anyone who plays, download it and never have to worry about keeping up with a bulky tuner again! Simple, quick, and efficient. Works great but overpriced & not obvious how to cancelFirst, the good - the app works really well and makes it easy to tune a variety of instruments. There are a lot of options and looks like a great tool for serious musicians, but I was just using it to tune my kids’ guitar and ukulele. Super easy to use, totally idiot proof. However the bad is pretty bad. The weekly rate is quite high at $8/week. The yearly is more reasonable, if you know you’re going to use it a lot and want to make the investment. The thing I take issue with is that there are no instructions on the app to tell you how to cancel. However there is lots of info on this in the app reviews, which is where I found it...after spending $24 on it. The weekly price is pretty ridiculous in my opinion, and the lack of transparency in how to cancel the subscription is not accidental and in fact is predatory. App developers, you can do better. How to access the free trialDoes the developer force you to subscribe to gain access to the free trail? Yes. Is this shady? Yes. Does the developer go out of their way to avoid explaining step by step how to cancel the subscription in their review responses? Yes. Follow these steps to gain access to the free limited version: 1) subscribe to the app 2) go to the Settings app 3) navigate to your Apple ID settings 4) go to Subscriptions. Here you can manage your subscriptions and cancel. It’s unfortunate and anti consumer to force folks to jump through these hoops to gain access to the free version, especially for an instrument tuner. The most sensible guitar tuner availiableSo easy to use! I usually sit on my couch when I play guitar. Now I have Siri open this guitar tuner on the screen, I lay it on my left ( just under the guitar’s neck and head) and my finger plucks a string… and I see a guitar neck with a vibrating string ;and swing needle below it ( happens to be what ever string I pluck) and my phone’s display shows me the string vibrating with a needle below it, (showing you how much lower or higher you turn the peg) the head, the neck, the bridge and frets all mimic my Ovation… of course it works better (visually) if your a bit high (that’s usually when I play!)..AsglickVersion: 3.01.00

Made tuning my ukulele so easyIt took me like 5 minutes to tune my ukulele. Mind you I have never played the ukulele before so this made it so easy. If u are brand new off the auto switch in the top right corner so u can individually turn each string at a time. E string on bass is not consistentHello, I’ve been using this app for about a year and it’s been working fine until the apps whole look changed a few months(?) ago. A lot of the time, the E string on my bass will not be picked up by the tuner. I don’t change any settings on my amp at all, but it just doesn’t pick it up. I’m not sure what the problem is, because just yesterday I used this tuner and it picked up all 4 of my strings just fine. Better than the fender tunerI had lots of trouble tuning my guitar with the fender app. It would try to tune certain strings incorrectly. For example, the first string would be read as the last or second to last. This app not only gives me numerical values to better understand how out of tune it is. Great tunerThis app was recommended to me by my guitar instructor. I was frustrated at first cause I only wanted the free version (you have to sign up for premium and then cancel subscription) and couldn’t figure out how to cancel the subscription, but I received an email on how to take care of it before the free trial expired. Wow, an developer who forces you to start a free trial, UGH!I saw a referral to this app from an ad and it looked decent to use. Unfortunately it doesn’t allow you to use FREE as offered. To even use/ test this app you are forced to start a free trial. As others have mentioned their frustration when charged the $7.99 plus tax per week and then having to unsubscribe from their service I’m astonished that Apple would allow such a setup which will cause users to have a bad experience. Users should not ever have to get into this position of having to be conned into using a free trial. The app developer should offer the app free to use with out having to finagle the situation to where a users has to waste their time to unsubscribe after the free trial is over. Why does Apple and the app develop screw users by putting us into such a position? If the app developer decides to remove this requirement that we have to use the free trial to get access to their app then I’ll give it a try. If not I’ll be posting this warning and a thumbs down for their app because of this issue. Users should not be forced to start a free trial just to test the app when it’s being advertised as a free app with in-app purchases. Functionally Fantastic....Too CostlyI play a Hammered Dulcimer and the fully chromatic tuner function is what I was interested in. The tuner functioned fantastic, was super accurate, and was easy to use. From a functionality perspective I would give the app five gold stars. However, the weekly high cost of $7.99 sadly prevents me from continuing to be a customer. That’s a pretty steep ongoing cost, much higher than many streaming music and video services on the Internet. I could, and likely will, purchase a top of the line dedicated hardware tuner at the music store for a one time cost for less than a few months of your ongoing cost. Confusing and expensiveI had high hopes for this app, but after downloading it and realizing that the free version was basically useless, i went ahead and purchased premium. Forced to SubscribeI got this app to tune a guitar that I painted as a gift for someone. However, upon opening the app I was forced to start a free trial. Do not respond and say the subscription is ‘optional’, because it’s not. There is no way to close out of the subscription screen. When I discovered this, I decided to go ahead and start my free trial since I would be deleting the app after I tuned this one guitar, since I don’t have any guitars of my own nor do I know how to play one. Tuner Pro: don’t downloadMy teenage daughter downloaded this app. It automatically installed as auto-download at $7.99. After we told her to cancel, she could not find out how to unsubscribe. She didn’t tell us because she knew we weren’t happy about first $7.99 charge. She kept trying with no luck. I can tell that the app is working because I can navigate to different menus but when it comes to hearing my strings the app refuses to listen. Don’t, just don’tYou can’t use the app unless you “sign up for a free subscription” and then they make it very very difficult to cancel by not making it clear on how. And they charge you weekly? Don’t get this app!While looking for a good tuning app I came across this app. I downloaded it just to try it out. I thought I clicked on the free version Then I realized it wasn’t what I was looking for. Scammed weekly for a month.Obviously you’re doing something wrong with this many bad reviews. Just like so many other people I also got charged 7.99 a week and had no idea. I deleted the app and it still charged my card. You must go to your settings and unsubscribe to stop it from charging your card. To help prevent other people from being scammed go to your email of the receipt and report the app saying you did not authorize a transaction. Breaking my strings and tuning is incorrect.I’ve been trying to tune my guitar for the longest time with this app and it NEVER sounds right with whatever type of tuning I use.( I own a 6 string and I am a new player) The tune meter goes crazy and is obviously broken. One of my strings broke from the past when the tuner made it too tight and I started playing and it snapped and whipped my face. Today, it was telling me to tighten another string more and more then it finally gave out and whipped my wrist. This app doesn’t know what it’s doing at all. Why so expensiveWhile the app offer many great options and utilities for instruments and tuning, 8$ a week, really? according to my math, to keep a subscription for an entire year is over 400 DOLLARS. it doesn’t matter what kind of technology is used, no tuner, especially digital, should be that expensive. Great tuner, terrible runaround.When you download the app, they neglect to tell you that it requires a weekly subscription that is waaaaay too costly. Then you need to go to iTunes to end the free trial and if you don’t, it automatically renews. They tell you not to use the app if you don’t agree to the terms and services, but that just seems like they are trying to pin their shadiness on you. Charges money without consent.I used this app once with my friend, we were tuning her guitar. I didn’t use it but kept it just in case. I never signed up for anything that cost REAL money. My account then got disabled by my parents because it charged 7.99. It’s not ok to charge money without consent! The most expensive guitar tuner you can findI downloaded this app to quickly tune my guitar, and somehow ended up with a 7.99 weekly bill and it was not apparent that I had signed up for anything at all.
