A Great Digital Adaptation of a Modern ClassicI have throughly enjoyed the multitude of options that Sagrada offers. Pass and Play, Cross-Platform Multiplayer, Solo, and Campaign modes are all here! The music is beautiful and light, appropriate given the theme. Also the controls are spot-on, very intuitive! Likewise the graphics, from the stained glass dice to even a color blind mode, really show care in their form and function. I really liked Dire Wolf’s previous adaptation of Raiders of the North Sea, the bar was set high and they delivered. Honestly I hope this app sells very well as I can’t wait to play the expansions on this app. The private dice pool drafts are sorely missed when playing against human opponents but that is a personal preference. Bottom line, the price is very reasonable for what you get and this is a great way to play while maintaining social distance. Check it out!.Br0kenNickVersion: 1.2.2

A great adaptation of the board game, with one annoying thingGame works pretty flawlessly for the most part. Great visuals and overall the game is simple and addictive. Aside from random disconnects to the server(which are annoying due to it force “resigning” you) I haven’t run into anything major. My biggest beef(and also an issue I have with the physical version) is how punishing the Solo game can be. I am unsure if this was fixed in future expansions, but the target scores you need to get to win are near impossible to achieve. Needing to not only sacrifice a die to use a tool, but said tool is only usable once per game is a bit too punishing. Not to mention only benefit from one of your private objectives really limits the player. I understand these are the rules as written, but if expansions managed to fix this, I’d love for them to be added in future updates. Almost perfect.This digital adaption of the game is spot on. Definitely worth the cost considering normal board game version retails for $40. The AI has a little bit to be desired in terms of difficulty. I watched them use one of the in-game tools on the 2nd turn when it was unnecessary to do so. I don’t have to pay attention to their boards and can win nearly 100% of the time - by a pretty wide margin. However the real draw of this game is to play with friends and family online. Given the current events this is a welcome escape. It would be great to add simple emotes/premade comments to encourage/taunt opponents. This is one of my favorite strategy games. Enjoyable with some small issuesI have been enjoying playing this game very much! My friend lives about 5 hours away and yet we both play it as the day winds down nearly every evening. The few bugs I’ve noticed have been lag related (I think) 1- when the game tells me I have a game waiting and ‘would I like to go to that game now?’ I click yes and nothing happens. I can click yes 15 times and still nada. I have to click no, exit back to the main menu, go to my games and then open it from there. 2- sometimes the bouncy die goes on for much longer than I believe it’s supposed to. It’s fun to watch in the beginning as you’re waiting for your game to load but it grows tiresome quickly. I’ve had to close out the game and open it again to get the board to load faster. Also my friend and I have found some of the game objectives tedious. When I play versus the A.I. or play the campaign there is a good variety in the objectives. But when I play my friend sometimes we will get all numbers and sometimes all colors. We rarely get the chance to enjoy the diversity from Sagrada multiple objective pool. All that being said the game is lovely to play. The colors and windows are beautiful and I enjoy playing the game in one fashion or another nearly every day. Great adaptation- accessibility could be improvedA faithful adaptation of the board game and a great way to learn and practice your strategy against the AI. My only criticism is that the color-blind mode isn’t that helpful. It applies patterns to the dice, which is nice, but not to the colored spaces on the game board. The placement aides work when those colored spaces are available, but it’s hard to plan ahead when they aren’t and you can’t tell the differences between some of them and your dice. An option to apply patterns to the game board spaces would be helpful, or to change out the color options as other games have done would also be an improvement. Oddly enough, this is only an issue with this digital version. I don’t have any color issues with the physical board game. All in all, a fun game though!.ToochmanVersion: 1.3.11

So Many BugsI would easily rate this game five stars because I think it is super fun, but I find myself getting frustrated by the bugs. I often get unstable internet connection warnings in daily challenge mode, and the game will not load, but I will still lose one of my five daily plays each time. If I’m on the same “unstable connection” but open any other mode, the game will run fine. I am also unsure if this is a bug or my misunderstanding of the rules, but in solo mode, I have four objectives listed above that don’t all count towards my total score. I watch the totals as they happen and tend to see only 2-3 objectives receiving points. Amazing adaptationThis is exactly what I want when it comes to making board games into apps. The UI is super intuitive and visuals are excellent. My one bit of feedback is I would like to see the end scoring separated out to better see where my opponents and I scored for our private and each public objective. The scoring happens so quick at the end that you barely have a chance to see what you ended up with for the objectives. Something is buggedI love this game, I have gifted a few times and gotten it for myself, so I was excited to find it has a app version Lately I’ve played and wondered how my friends have been playing with me so quickly, their moves are instant after mine. It wasn’t until yesterday when I was sitting next to my friend that we realized he wasn’t even playing and his side was responding and playing immediately after I chose my dice. When we compared our boards we would be in the same game, same boards we selected but none of the pieces we had chosen for our own were the same, and one of us would have a game where both of us would be many moves ahead of what he had on his phone, so we clearly aren’t actually playing with eachother like we should be 🫣.SsaurusVersion: 1.4.4

Solo vs. AI is great, other solo mode (against a target score) is stupidly frustratingFirst, this is a very good game, for a good price, with a good privacy policy, and it is very enjoyable to play. It’s somehow relaxing and challenging at the same time. The solo play against AI is my favorite. It’s challenging but doable. No complaints there. And I like that you can save your progress and go back later. I haven’t tried the multiplayer or pass and play options, as I only wanted this for solo play. However, the other solo mode, where you play against a target score, is impossible, even on “very easy.” Whoever created the scoring for that mode needs to rethink it (or be fired). It’s sadistic, punishing, absolutely unfair and unfun. Others have said this too. I’m a good player, it isn’t me. That mode is bad by design. But if you want to play against AI, I highly recommend this game. It’s one of my favorites in fact. It would be 5 stars if the other solo mode were tweaked. Just buy the physical game.Bare bones version of the base game, there have been 3 expansions for the physical game not counting the new Artisans Legacy game. I’ve had this app for several years and still can’t get through a single 5 play daily challenge without crashing and losing my progress. Dire Wolf Digital must be in Dire Straights in terms of development staff and/or know how. Why would I want to buy Root or Dune imperium digitally? Beautiful, but concern about crashing!First, this is a beautiful, aesthetic, satisfying and enjoyable game. However I have been facing a frustrating issue. Part of my daily ritual, while eating breakfast, is playing Sagrada. More often than not, I will lose at least 1, sometimes up to 4,of the 5 allowed attempts due to the message "Lost Connection To Server". In the evening I like to play with my spouse, and our games crash then too. We are so disappointed with how often the server crashes. Is this an issue that the team is working on? Fun game, app has some issuesThe game itself is very fun, and I enjoy playing it a lot. I love that I can play the daily challenges by myself, and a regular game with my friends. I have noticed a couple issues/annoyances so far, that make it slightly frustrating to play - Inability to see history of scores/boards. It’s very frustrating to have a game end with friends, and not be able to go back and see the score after it’s complete. Even upon clicking notification that the game is complete, it does not bring me to the closing/scoring sequence. The game will freeze sometimes for 15-20 seconds, usually in daily challenge mode. If you leave a daily challenge (even just close the app) it will disconnect and you lose your progress. Not a huge deal, but this counts towards your 5 games for the leaderboard. General lagging when connecting to an ongoing game with friends, there seems to be a disconnect with clicking a notification and the app opening the game itself..Gob2171Version: 1.4.4

Pretty awesomeSo I had never heard of this game before (and I don’t recall how I found it on the App Store) but it’s a wonderful game. As a new player, some of the finer aspects of the game eluded me at first. For instance, for the life of me I couldn’t understand how to satisfy the shade and color variety goal cards. I figured it out with a google search—so no harm no foul—but the tutorial probably could have done a better job. This review is mainly addressing the new Solo mode of play—I take issue with being scored against the value of dice left in the round track. It makes the game arbitrarily difficult and makes low and medium goal cards particularly annoying. Is there a good reason for choosing the round track total as the score you want to beat? (That's not a rhetorical question, I'm actually asking.) I also wish that in solo mode you could pick specific tool cards so that you could practice your skills individually. Great, but glitchyI love this game, I love the IRL board game but the set up takes forever and with the app playing against computers is a great way to get so good at this game that my friends refuse to play with me anymore lol. I’m annoyed I have to be online all the time to play, but that’s my own weird thing. The ONLY problem is that recently whenever I finish a campaign game and hit “Continue” the app freezes showing me my completed window and I have to close it to restart. I don’t lose my stars from finishing the window so it’s not super broken. But it’s annoying, and if that were fixed this would get 5/5 no problem. What a beautiful and intuitive version!So polished, nearly bug-free. Takes a little getting used to in regards to utilizing the tools shared by all players but I can’t think of a better way to implement that piece of the game from a UI/UX standpoint... it’s a tough and varied series of game mechanics and they did an admirable job implementing it. There are some amazing iOS board game ports and I’ve probably downloaded 30-40 of them. Beautiful gameI was introduced to this application during a team game night, and I’ve been addicted since. This game challenges me, frustrates me, and soothes me. The most fun puzzle game I’ve played in a minute. I love opening the app and hearing the music as I start my game. Love the game- but app is incredibly glitchyBought this app after being introduced to the board game over the holidays. A really pricey app, but enjoyed the game that much and could play with siblings long distance. App is great… when it works. Consistent glitches where game will freeze and you have to restart the app, and games never save as they are supposed to and so if you get a call or respond to a text mid-game you usually lose progress and the app crashes. Incredible!I was excited to learn an app version of Sagrada would be offered to the US a month or so ago. The app is every bit of what I expected and more! It took an incredible, and beautiful board game and kept all the components just as beautiful. The game plays very smoothly with no issues. There is a campaign, vs AI, and online multiplayer mode! Great with only a few snagsLove the game and it does a great job of bringing the gameplay of the original to digital. Anyone who likes Sagrada will love this version. My only complaint is maybe one bug and a usability issue. The bug is inviting a friend. You can’t. If you enter their email address to ask them to play the instructions say it will send an invite with a link to the game to download it. When you do so it says the person isn’t registered. Isn’t the point to invite unregistered people? If they are registered they’d probably have the game already. This was disappointing. Also the turns can be a little fiddly because when you use one of the cards that allows you to change your dice or placement it can be unclear what to do next. Same when ending turn. Good game, decent implementationThe game is fun, if you like that sort of thing. The implementation is beautiful in design and dodgy in technical quality. Online mode technically works but can be buggy, causing disconnects, and the lobby system is barebones and relies on a secondary app to handle any lobby chatting you may want to do. Daily challenge is a nice feature but bugs have often spent my limited attempts on app crashes or disconnects. Dire Wolf Digital Does it Again!I have loved Dire Wolf Digital games since Lotus. Last two releases Yellow & Yangtze and Raiders of the North Sea were Amazing. Fantastic game for both solo and multi-playerBeen wanting to try this game on Tabletop but with shelter in place, great opportunity to try the app instead. Great tutorial mode and the AI is a fantastic solo experience. Playing with remote player works well, but the two turns within a round lends itself more to synchronous play than over long stretches. Solo Mode Target Score is ImpossibleI love the game and it all flows beautifully. But the “Target Score” that is needed to win on the Solo mode is impossible to get. And I don’t mean it’s just hard, but often literally impossible. Even when I have a really good game and achieve a lot of the bonuses, I’m lucky to make it half way to the suggested Target score. Disconnecting oftenThis is a GREAT game when it works. Very challenging and fun to compete with friends. The challenge lately is the game is disconnecting from the server on a regular (almost daily) basis. Needs Landscape modeI’ll bump this to 5-star when landscape mode is available. Publisher hasn’t responded to feedback to add this view to iOS like they have in Nintendo Switch. This request is more so for iPad’s and iPad Pros. The default portrait mode is fine on iPhone. Everything else is beautiful and this is a great adaption. Great features but hard to find themThe good parts about the app are things like the modules to allow enhanced gameplay of clank and Dune imperium. The problem is that they’re hidden in obscure places and you have to go through several steps to get to them - and if you open another app in the meantime you are often back to square one. Lovely game!Great implementation, very playable. Note: Initially it seemed to have a bug where I could not actually select any dice - instead the “magnifying glass” loupe mode is permanently stuck as on. Glitchy but worth it!A decent implementation of my favourite board game. The graphic design is good with everything you need visible on one screen and an intuitive interface. Playing solo or against an AI is best. Pass and play is an option but there is no way to hide your personal goal so you have to keep the screen private on your turn and be careful about when you pass, which is fine but unnecessary. Online play is also an option but there are still many bugs. About 3/4 of the live games I’ve started don’t finish and just disappear without telling you why. And casual turn based online play is fairly slow cause the app fully reloads almost every time you reopen it. Still a great app and a great game, and I hope work is still being done on these aspects I emailed DireWolf directly with these issues and only received a “we passed your report on” in response. Would be great if it wasn’t so terribly buggyThis game requires being online and connected to Dire Wolf’s servers the entire time you’re playing the game. Because of this, any brief connection issues will result in the game ending and/or you losing your chances to qualify for the leaderboard. In order to even hope to stay connected, I need to have both cellular and wifi enabled and available while I’m playing this game. As of today (April 14, 2026), the game seems to allow play, but cannot connect to the leaderboard, so I don’t know what’s going on, but I really think they should redesign this app so that a constant uninterrupted connection is not required in order to play or to qualify for the leaderboard..JaeraVersion: 1.4.7

Poor adaptation (Review from a gamer)My wife and I love the physical board game. The app, however, has some significant problems. For starters, the ratio of dice each game is inconsistent. In a two player game there are supposed to be 10 of each color die in the pool. However, we just finished a game where there were only 4 purple die the entire game. I don’t mind a bit of luck being involved, but the ratios need to he consistent in order for there to be any chance of mitigating said luck. That’s my biggest complaint. Otherwise, I would like there to be some way of seeing the public objectives before choosing windows. It would also be nice to have a wider variety of private objectives, rather that exclusively color variety. Lastly, the load times seem unnecessarily long, making it an arduous task playing just one game. The asynchronous gameplay isn’t a smooth as I’d like it to be. However, I suppose this app isn’t marketed to gamers like myself who already own the physical game, and as a gateway to the physical game, this app is excellent jumping on point..Samson527Version: 1.3.11

Not as fun as the board gameI’m not a big fan of this version of Sagrada. The board game is excellent, one of my favorites. It’s hard to say exactly what’s wrong with this game. The dice roll feels fake. The cards randomly picked each game also seem wrong. It doesn’t seem random. It picks my least favorite cards in about 75% of the games. The good cards are seldom picked. The single player version isn’t fun. I bought this for my iPad. I was looking forward to solo play. I mostly play against computer players that play like idiots or geniuses. Poor UPDATE!!I’ve played for years. Would give you a 5. This morning I found a disturbing update in which the ‘secret’ color point system was changed and the board made fancier. What happened? Did you get bored with your own game? GO BACK to what you had. It was working just fine. Great concept, terribly unstableThis game stupidly requires constant connection to its server. For the daily challenge you get five attempts but it’s very common for it to fail and crash mid game. Today was the worst I’ve experienced—only one game was finished and scored properly. The final fail happened after the final turn. Developers, please, our phones are plenty powerful to run the game locally and then reconnect at the end to document the score. Disconnects from server mid game multiple times a dayThis games is interesting, and I’d give it 5 stars if the app just stayed connected. I have no problem with connectivity or service but the game disconnects from the server (I dictated by a Wi-Fi icon in app) multiple times a day. When it disconnects, it also loses any game you were playing and you have to restart blank. I’ve had this happen to at least 30% of the games..KartoffelDogVersion: 1.4.4

Tools that don’t work.Nice version of a great game. But the Eglomise Brush and the Copper Foil Burnisher don’t work at all like they’re supposed to. My girlfriend and I do a lot of pass and play, but we have to restart any game that includes either of those if we want a normal game with 3 working tools. Every now and then we try a game with them, but nope! Letting two tools that don’t work slip through in the first place is unacceptably sloppy, but then not to catch it for so long is just beyond the pale.
