Charging me extra…Dear peacock first of all it’s very difficult to find help using the app I looked for a contact customer service or anything of that nature of contact us button and it seems to be very hard to access from the app at least I couldn’t find it Secondly I pay extra to not have to watch commercials bad as I’m sitting here watching my program I keep getting interrupted every few minutes by a commercial how does this happen I am paying not to have to watch commercials maybe you need to look into this I figure writing a review is the only way to get your attention and that probably won’t work either- I am still having shows with commercials and I pay for ad free - cannot figure out how to contact help - one show was called All of Me - the other was called Eat Up - Girl on fire was another - I have been paying for ad free shows since opening my peacock account and I have always had commercials this is not right - I cannot figure out how to contact help and cannot get help with this - the help category on the app only helps with parental controls - I need help - I should get what I pay for - can a developer contact me thru my sign up email please? I love peacock!!!❤️It seems like I spent 90% of my time watching Peacock. All my favorite shows are around here if I’m looking for a movie it’s on here. I like how it goes to the next movie. I don’t really have to do anything. It plays what comes up next there are times where it takes me to other shows that I would prefer not to watch like if I’m not in the room when it goes to the next show and then the show I can’t get it off my continue watching because the series goes on and you gotta skip to the end of the last episode in the last series but then a couple months go by and a whole Nother series comes out so every week it’s in your continue watching. I wish there was a way to remove from watchlist. But other than that, there’s never been like a streaming issue. I’ve never had a buffering issue. It’s been smooth sailing. I’m an annual subscriber and I absolutely love it. Update they took the time to respond to my review and they made it to where you can turn off the show from continue watching. I’m even more in love! One that they even took the time to look at what I wrote, but also they did something about it. My Apple TV won’t let me do it so I went on the app on my iPad. Honestly, what is Netflix/hulu/hbo max?I never knew what to expect from Peacock, I downloaded it because it was free. I wasn’t really looking for any show/movie in specific, just another one of those apps to browse different genres of movies/shows. I became the most HOOKED when i found out about the Latino section and what it has to offer. I am a Mexican American, and in my household we usually gravitate towards English oriented shows. Growing up I was influenced by my grandmother who would watch her Spanish-speaking shows. I caught on to a couple here and there but one show in particular Case Closed was one that i never expected to find on this app. Let me just say that when I first started watching the show on Peacock there was only one season currently streaming, I am beyond psyched that they keep adding more seasons and episodes. GOD bless this app because this show is all i watch at work. I appreciate the variety that they offer. Going off into a different story here, my sister is a big fan of the Office. Netflix recently removed that show and guess who decided to start streaming them. Over New Years my sister mentioned to her fiancé that she was bummed that the Office would no longer be on Netflix. A couple days after New Year’s I get a notification from peacock and they advertise that the office is now streaming, all seasons, all episodes. Terrible AppI need to start this by saying the content on Peacock is AMAZING!!!! I will not stop putting poor reviews on this app though. Watch it on your tv or anything other than a phone. I am literally watching shows and having them stop randomly and the next episode starts 5-10 minutes of an episode starting. I have shows I have watched before that I listen to while at work and can’t even begin to describe the pure anger and hatred I have towards this app when it changes to another episode without any prompting whatsoever. Please just fix this app. I don’t understand how not a single other streaming service I have has this problem except Peacock which, unfortunately for me, is the one I want to watch the most. DAILY it is cutting the the next episode of a show I’m watching within 15 minutes of it even starting. I really just need you guys to hear this so you can (hopefully) fix it. A Bit FrustratingI use Peacock a lot, but take issue with some of the things it does in relation to other platforms of its kind. I usually have it on my iPad at my desk while I work. I have ADHD and it helps to always have noise in my ears when I work. As a result, I watch a lot of the same things over and over since I don’t have to watch…I can just listen, so it doesn’t become a distraction vs. a crutch. I do take quite a bit of calls and meetings, so I tend to pause a lot. Sometimes the call is long enough that the tech I’m using falls asleep, forcing me to relaunch the app all over again, locate what I was watching, and often, restart. *sigh* #timesucker Also…shows that I have started fall out of my “continue watching” ALL THE TIME, even though they are still offered on the platform. And when I go find them again, it starts me over from the beginning. Also…if I am watching on my iPad, I will close the app out before switching to a TV for example. When I do this, the expectation would be that I could pick up where I left off on the new device, but that doesn’t work. Usually it starts off from where I left off on the new device. That would make sense if we weren’t watching from the same individual family account that we set up (mom, dad, kid…). I like the platform and use it regularly…I use several streaming sites, actually and all have some quirks that are frustrating. An Update To Fix Randomly Skipping Episodes Is Well OverdueI will be fair to Peacock here, I'm an experienced customer with Peacock. I've had a mostly positive experience with the platform and I enjoy most of the content on here, but two weeks of episode skipping and one update later and it's still broken? What bugs are no more exactly? What did you decide was glitchier than this problem? This is unethical, you have half of the user base complaining in the reviews about episode skipping and yet somehow the "latest" patch doesn't fix it. Haven't you ever heard of the phrase "the customer is always right"? People say it for a reason, you turn away customers with your ignorance. I even question if actual human beings that work at Peacock read the reviews on the App Store, every "developer response" is an automated request to email peacock to provide more information. They'd certainly get that if they read everything, and they'd also be able to see that the only glitch that needed fixing was episode skipping. I normally love this app and it would get a 5 stars from me, but this level of ignorance drops it down to a 3. Listen to your customers Peacock, the app is completely unusable in its current state. You could just say "only watch movies" but you're missing out on so much content if you take away the TV Show category, and it undermines the value of a streaming service. This issue is extremely important to quality of life for its user base, if it continues to be poor I will look elsewhere and so will many others. Solid App, Confusing UIUPDATE: As of 2025, I do not have any issues with this app. I have found it to be reliable and while I do have the ad version, the ad breaks come naturally in where they would be on cable tv and are still shorter. Being able to edit your “Continue Watching” section has been a godsend since the wife has a hard time completing shows. I stream a lot of the live sports and hardly have any issues. I still think the UI can be confusing. Updated from 2 to 4 stars. 2021: While the Peacock app has a solid selection of film and tv to choose from, being able to stream it is a whole other issue. First, in order to stream via chromecast, you must allow Peacock to access your local network in settings. Once you select this option, the chromecast symbol will show up in your app. However, once it starts streaming, it doesn’t support it very long. While watching “Jaws” today, it stopped at every ad break and I had to disconnect, connect, and then start streaming again. It was a very disruptive process and frustrating enough for me to stop and write this review. All the other reviews you’re reading also apply. Always strive for more!!I NEVER EVER take the time to write a review unless, I feel STRONG about giving credit where I feel it’s definitely owed. I think the reason I love my peacock so much is because they stream the channels AND shows on any of the networks they are with, I happened to have ALREADY on cable, obsessed with a ton of shows they air!! I’m sure that helps, but they also offer the streaming service at (I feel is a lil pricey) however pricing or not I still pay the premium to indulge in my shows and movies! I will say that I ONLY pay because of the service they provide (never have ever had issues streaming) but they also HONOR their NO ADDS subscription also. Great Accessibility ProgressI am pleased to say that the Peacock app is much more accessible with screen readers than before and I thank anyone who has helped to make this happen. I have only noticed one small glitch in the current version. If you are playing a video and press the audio subtitles button, VoiceOver will not display the available options. It only gives you an option to dismiss the menu. I also noticed that in both the app and website that audio description will not stay on. Every time you open the browser or app to resume a show, and when the next episode plays automatically, the audio track defaults back to original English, meaning that you need to manually enable audio description for every episode. It would be incredibly helpful if description were to automatically stay enabled for specific profiles, and only default to original when someone disables description or switches profiles. DisappointingThe reality show variety is pretty decent, but otherwise there aren’t a lot of great movies or shows that aren’t available on other platforms. However, I like reality tv, so I stayed. The biggest issue I have with the app is the price point for the subscription- for such a high price there should be more curated content. My second biggest issue which is really important for reality tv shows (the reason I stayed) - if I decide to start a new show and press play, instead of it starting on my first unwatched episode (i.e. s1e1) - it starts on the most recent season first episode (s4e1). This has basically spoiled entire shows by starting me on a reunion episode or an “up until now” recap showing me clips from all the seasons and throwing me off completely. Ruins a lot of shows that kept me on the platform to begin with. For the amount of money the company makes you’d think this QOL update would have been implemented by now. That, and the amount of times I’ve had the “playback error” and had to restart a show. Could be better with a few easy tweaksI like peacock it’s a decent platform but there’s a few setbacks versus other apps… first, you can’t turn off auto play in settings. This I find very annoying as I can’t play my shows on my bedroom tv at night in fear that I’ll fall asleep & it’ll just keep playing & playing & playing. I can’t think of 2 other streaming apps off the top of my head where you can turn it off & it even remembers which device (i.e. it auto plays on my living room tv but then on my bedroom tv it doesn’t) This is such a stellar feature so especially with NBC pulling their shows off of all other platforms this is a huge let down that it doesn’t have this capability. Also, on the Apple TV the fast forward/backward AND play/pause tend to seriously lag. I watch tv with my mom once a week who lives far away & again on almost every other platform I can audibly get us in sync. Thanks to this lag it’s virtually impossible on the peacock app which is again very annoying. Continued Watching List (CWL)I let me just first say that I love and use this app daily. However, I can’t give 5 stars because of a small but annoying problem… the Continued Watching List (CWL) I’ve accidentally clicked on shows and movies that start playing and it ends up on the CWL There are a few shows/movies that sound good but then I once I watch one or two episodes or the beginning a movie and then don’t like it. Then I’m stuck with it on the CWL. I know that I can just skip to the end and that clears it for CWL but that only works for movies and shows that are no longer airing new episodes. I know any others will agree that it is just annoying. Other streaming services have the option to clear a show or movie from their CWLs so I know that it can be done. On some other platforms you can either/or just remove it while using the app where as others you may have to use their websites to remove them. Best of any streaming servicesI love this app — I watch something from it every day. There are an astounding number of shows available at no recurring cost to me (I wait through 45 seconds of ads during a show’s normal commercial break). Other streaming services (cough cough Disney, CBS, etc. cough cough) have nearly everything trapped behind a paywall, and honestly I can’t afford 6 dollars here, 5 dollars there, every single month, to four or five streaming services. Frankly I do not want to sign up not only due to budget but from principle: when the writing hit the wall with companies pulling shows from Netflix to move them to their own premium streaming services, I said then that I wouldn’t sign up for multiple premium services because I saw it as the companies’ greed. Just stopI downloaded Peacock because I’m an Xfinity subscriber, so it felt like a no brainer. After looking over the content, I was actually quite amazed. It made me even consider starting up the commercial free subscription. Your app is good, it’s easy to filter through, I can find what I’m looking for and it’s visually appealing. So why just 3 stars when everything seems much more above average, with way more content than I was expecting? What is going on!Why am I paying for a premium subscription with an add-on, if you won’t even let me watch anything. I’ve had peacock for 3 years and now all of a sudden… when I log in, I can click on the movie/tv title but, when I hit play… nothing happens. This has been going on for 2 weeks now. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app. Closed out background apps. I’ve cleared the apps cache. I’ve checked and ran a internet/data test (it passed). Could be greaterI really love this streaming app and the shows on it. I use it on my iPhone and Apple TV, but it could be better. The most consistent issue is let’s say I’m watching something on my iPhone at work and hours later I come home to watch it on my Apple TV, it takes forever to sync together where I am at on a movie/show. So I have to fast forward where I’m at if I can remember correctly. And same vis versa from my Apple TV to my iPhone. Another issue I just started having is after it plays an ad, it won’t go straight back to where it left off before it went to the ad. It will go back a few minutes or to the previous break and start there again and be a loop. So I have to quit the app and restart again and then fast forward to where I should have been. Constantly unresponsiveI have had this app for a long time. I love the content and the wide variety of options. However, it is constantly unresponsive when I go to play videos. I can open the home page, even tap on the name of the show and it will show a list of episodes, but when I go to play an episode or movie, literally nothing happens. I can tap and tap on the episode or movie and it is completely unresponsive. It doesn’t even open a black screen with the loading circle in the middle. Just…nothing. I can scroll up and down, and return to the home page, so it’s not the whole app that’s frozen up. Just won’t play videos. I have tried closing and reopening the app, restarting my phone, signing out and back in, even deleting and reinstalling the app and nothing helps. How do I give 0 stars. I will pay to do so.This app is one of the worst apps in the modern era of streaming apps. The menu and UI is cumbersome and flimsy and it’s not user-friendly or intuitive in anyway. why is continue watching the sixth menu down from the top? How come when I add a show to my stuff to circumvent that it doesn’t show up. Why am I forced to watch commercials if I rewind too far and then have to rewatch the commercial I just watched? and the biggest issue and reason why I am writing this is the rewind and fast-forward monstrosity that is this app. Sometimes you can fast-forward or rewind 10 seconds sometimes you can squirrel faster sometimes you have a slow faster and fastest menu and then sometimes you don’t have any menu at all to do it. You just have the restart button with the other menus, and when you press the button to try to fast-forward rewind it clicks restart. I might do this 4-5 times watching an episode of something. And then there’s no rewind fast-forward menu after that so I can’t even get back to the point that I restarted from. And then you try to use Siri to fast-forward or rewind and then you hit with a commercial and if you don’t hit the right spot, you have to try it again and you hit another commercial. and then when you’re there, you can’t even fast-forward everyone to find the spot because you have to watch the commercial. Not a fan of being screwedNormally I like Peacock I liked it when it was free and even since it’s been premium I thought about paying the premium price because it’s very low and there’s a lot of shows on there that I want to watch tonight after getting an order for panda express. I got notification on there saying that I could get three months of Peacock premium for only $2.50 a month after the third month it would be 599 a month so I thought what better time than now to subscribe to the premium I know everything went through because it directly took me to be able to pick out some movies but now that I’m home and trying to download the app and sign in and sign into my TV at home it is not allowing me to, and it is telling me that there is no such account, but I had to set up an account to get the three months because I couldn’t remember if I even had an account because I haven’t watched it for a couple of years now. And I know for a fact everything went through because it charged me and they couldn’t charge me if I didn’t have an account and it took me to where there was movies that I could pick movies or TV shows that I would wanna watch it, took me there directly after the sign-up went through. I have screenshots of it, but I’ve been trying to contact someone at Peacock and it won’t let me even contact anybody without signing in or signing up for I already signed up but these people are trying to tell me there’s no such account. Content OK, Don’t expect Premium Max iPhones to get Premium ExperienceI got this app because I grew up loving shows like “Everybody Loves Raymond” and some of the movie selections were good. To my surprise, this app is STILL not updated to fill the screen of the newest iPhone 12 Pro Max, and there is an annoying black bar at the BOTTOM of the screen, even while in Peacock’s version of full screen. I guess since they released an app labeled originally as free (only 20% was actually free with loads of ads to boot) I really shouldn’t expect much. But for $10 a month don’t you think they could do just a little research on the newest devices out there so the software functions 4 months after the new devices are on the market? Just saying. Please fix it. My phone is awesome. Your product should be able to at least halfway fill the screen. Side note on “full screen mode”: if you can’t get it to work initially, you aren’t alone. Very odd way to do this. Pinch to zoom, but unlike mother apps that are reactive to Apple iOS software, you will need to endure a bit more finesse and patience, as the motion is twice as slow and the pinch motion with your fingers will need to be exaggerated for the app to know.... “hmm... maybe they would like to use their whole screen???... well ok, if they try hard enough”. What have you guys done to television/the internet?Navigating this user interface is like circumnavigating the globe using the stars and a compass. I’m just trying to watch the olympics. I have to decline about 20 requests to get various kinds of data every single time I open the app. I then have to sort through a dozen different versions of Olympic materials within a dozen different folders. Each folder opens up a new maze of non-descriptive titles that would only be decipherable to the nbc marketing department—a department that clearly has its heads so far up their own contents that they seem to have forgotten ordinary people watch these shows. Can’t you people just give us a list of events with times, where our can click the link, and watch the event stream? Then a list of archives sorted by day and event? I miss the days when NBCs primary sins re. the olympics was excessive inspiration porn, non-coverage of foreign athletes, and offensively stereotyping the cuisine and culture of the host countries. Now we can add using their unholy contractual olympics monopoly to forcefeed us their painfully over engineered attempt at shifting their business model to a streaming service to maintain relevancy, while harvesting data so as to better target us with ads, which make up about 50 percent of this content. You wonder why Olympic viewership is down? Purposeful difficult controls that they do on purposeWhy is it that the new shows that I’m not interested to watch will automatically always play “up next”. Then those shows are so hard to remove from my queue? where there’s no simple button to remove and the only option is to manually go to the very end of the movie or go to the very last season and episode, in order to remove it. But I get it if you’re trying to get more viewers and force them to watch something that’s the perfect plot twist but it’s very annoying for your users who don’t wanna actually be forced to watch something. You need to give us a quick access button to remove things we do not want to have added to our queue automatically and then have it be broken up by ads to even cause the viewer more impatient to not wanna wait, talk about marketing schemes doing this for having “views” come through and promote new shows for peacocks benefit. So inconsiderate that you guys do not have a quick access remove button and also do not get me started on the subtitles not being quickly accessible. Anytime I have subtitles that supposed to play automatically. It seems like they never load to anything I go to watch. When I try to toggle the on/off switch and reset it so they will turn on, it never works. I have to leave the program I am watching completely, every time— to manually have them work and even that is a 50/50 chance it will work. This on-demand program is not user friendly, it is inconsiderate thing after another. HeartbreakingOk, I’m going to try and stay clam while I write this, which will be a mission in itself, and will most likely fall on deaf ears but I just needed to voice my complaint. NBC has in the span of a couple months ruined my experience of watching premier league in America. I already wake up at 4am on the weekends and to have such a big hurdle just to watch the sport I love is heartbreaking. Firstly, if you’re going to have a paid streaming service to watch the games so be it, but to not have all of them is criminal. Let alone making you switch from game to game rather than just staying on the same stream. We lose out on interviews, goal zone, post game analysis because you’ve made it less convenient. Secondly, the stream has dropped out on a number of occasions. For example, a game froze this weekend forcing me to exit and relaunch the stream, then forcing me to watch yet another ad, during this time two goals were scored. Embarrassing. At least when it was on tv you weren’t missing anything during commercials. Third, how many streaming services will I end up paying for? The sky’s the limit apparently. Works Well, but Peacock Plus is DeceptiveThe app works reasonably well on my 4K AppleTV. I subscribe in order to watch The Tour de France, the Vuelta, and other cycling events. Kudos for providing those, though I encourage you to get someone better than Bob Roll to provide commentary. More importantly, I paid extra for Peacock Plus because I understood that would make my viewing ad-free. As a result, I am annoyed by the long advertisement for “The Undeclared War” that showed before I could watch today’s stage of the Vuelta. If this was an accident, well then accidents happen. If this is a deliberate policy choice to show an advertisement because it still meets some legalistic but contrary-to-common-sense definition of “ad-free”, then I regard this as dishonest. What happens with the next stages of the Vuelta will indicate whether is is an accident or deliberate. Update: it is clearly deliberate. Every time I watch a stage of the Vuelta, I am served an advertisement first. That did not happen when I watched the Tour de France. Another new behavior is that when the broadcast is interrupted for an advertisement, I see placards saying “We’ll be right back” or “Don’t go anywhere” rather than continuing to show the actual event. To me, these are unacceptable for an “ad-free” tier of a streaming service. In addition, the international English feed is not available as it was in the Tour de France. Doesn’t keep up on some shows.The single reason I bought a peacock subscription was to watch WWE because I did not want to pay for cable anymore and it is only streamed on cable or Peacock TV. They just simply as from what I’ve seen do not at all. Keep up with the Monday night raw episodes. They usually get posted in bulk and are very behind. And sometimes I can’t even find some main events, such as elimination chamber survivor series, and it is incredibly frustrating, recently WWE announced that they would be making the switch over to Netflix and from what I’ve seen maybe a week or so after they announce that they gave WWE it’s own tab and they started actually kind of giving it priority but not really they’ve kept posting stuff in bulk and I’ve seen it over the last few days and they’re gonna be taking it off their site in as of right now. The problem is the app, not the contentEvery streaming app should have two things available within view on the landing page, and those two things are “my watchlist” (or whatever every different service calls it), and “continue viewing” so you can pick up where you left off most recently. This app has both of these buried below the fold. The app also features the most annoying device streaming services ever created, which is the auto playing preview that starts if you leave any program highlighted for more than a couple of seconds, and either cannot be turned off or has the option to turn it off, buried so deep in the menu that it might as well not exist. Add to these problems a “skip intro” button that rarely works properly and an almost complete lack of ways to screen out programs I dislike and stop them from being recommended to me, and you have yourself a streaming service that is almost too frustrating to use, despite having some very excellent content. I do, of course, understand that a business needs to make money off of its product so I will point out a couple of things that I feel. The app does well to monetize without being outright offensive. Whenever a program is paused for more than a short period of time, an ad for another program will pop up on my screen. This is not a video ad. It is silent and tasteful, and so far as I have seen stays in line with the rating of the program I am watching which would be a concern if I was viewing some thing with my kids and an adult rated program flashed up on the screen. Issues with ads replaying with bad Wi-FiI want to start by saying that I love what Peacock has to offer and it’s been the only streaming service that I use for a few years now. Recently, I’ve noticed issues with their ads. Not only does an ad pop up any time you pause something for too long when it’s on a TV but Peacock has been replaying ads during ad breaks. My wifi isn’t the best when all my roommates are using it, it lags a bit but has never caused a major issue before. Recently, any time I watch something and it goes to an ad break, if my wifi is lagging, instead of the ad pausing and waiting to replay it starts over from the beginning. I can’t even pause it in an attempt to give it time to not lag with Peacock restarting the ad. It’s very frustrating, especially since I just renewed by membership, and it’s very clear they’ve started to care more about the money they get from pushing ads then providing a good service that people will want to come back to and recommend. I would not recommend Peacock to anyone who doesn’t have good wifi, especially those in rural areas, unless this issue gets resolved. Olympic failureJoined for the Olympics. Disappointed just as I was four years ago. Some of the glaring problems. First of all, you have a hard time scrolling to the event you want because you cannot see any of the screen until you land at the time that you want. Good luck hitting that exact moment that you are trying to grab. Instead, you’re just as likely to find yourself in the middle of the middle ceremony for the race you’re trying to watch. Speaking of things, the app does not seem to have “currently watching” tab. Which means if you happen to be in the middle of a specific race and leave the app, you’re never going to find it again. Other issues are the way that they organized the Olympics. Unless the thing you want to watch is in the title, you’re never going to find it. You will see things like “800 m and more”. Who knows what “and more” means? Not you because it’s not listed. Previously, there’s been a very clear schedule of Olympic events and what days they are happening. That’s not true in this latest app. If you search for a specific event, you can find if it hasn’t happened yet, and it will give you a day that it’s happening. Although you’re not going to know the time, and good luck finding an obvious schedule telling you what is happening when. I’ve watched the Olympics religiously my entire life and I’ve never missed one. This year is by far the most complicated to try to watch, and it’s all because of the idiot who designed this app. I look forward to discontinuing my membership at the end of this month and not purchasing another one until it’s time to watch the Olympics again. The app buffers constantly and forces you to watch extra commercials despite a premium price.I only buy this for the NCAA basketball games. Mind Boggling How Horrible This App Is!!!!I honestly can not believe how an app can be so awful. Peacock needs to do some serious user research on their app developer incompetence. I’m stunned and don’t know where to even start. You can’t control what you watch. The “continue watching” feature will randomly start episodes or shows that you never selected and weren’t watching. Once that happens , it will continually default to what you DON’T want or even selected, ever. You can not access the shows home page to choose what episode you want. Why they would create an app that didn’t allow you to access the shows home page and seasons/episodes is shocking to me. The “continue watching” feature will take over even though you have selected a completely different episode. When you play the selected ep it takes over and goes right into the “continue watching” ep that plays regardless of what you selected. And because you can’t access the home page, you get stuck in a constant loop of stopping the unwanted ep and trying to get to ANYTHING ELSE!!! The unwanted episodes stays in the “continue watching” list and you can not remove it, so there is no end to the frustration. Upgrades don’t actually come with any added features. No matter how much money you subscribe to pay, you still have to suffer through commercials. I would expect that AT THE VERY LEAST anything in the lower tier should be ad free since you’re paying for the upgraded tiers. Home ScreenI like the app and what media is offered but I don’t like how unfriendly the user interface of the Home Screen is and it has been ignored for too long as an important part of this platform. On all devices, the “continue watching” category is 3/4 of the way down the Home Screen, meaning it takes the viewer multiple full scrolls past other unrelated but advertised media before getting to the relevant ones that they’re in the middle of watching. That being said, there needs to also be an information button added to the same category for each title page of the shows/movies you’re in the middle of watching as sometimes the episodes are thrown off and you would otherwise need to search that show in a DIFFERENT category all together to access the summarized content and more episodes page without playing the content. This is an important part of the user experience and I feel it needs to be considered even if there are special events/categories that are promoted by Peacock. Good shows but bad appThis app is terrible. It doesn’t show you shows that you have been watching you have to physically search for them and find the episode you are on. The skip intro button does not go away for the entire show if you don’t click it, and if you do it pushes you back to the start of the show but doesn’t change your place. This makes the show off, so the show will end before it’s actually over. If you are able to watch the show, the adds will be in the wrong place. So you can skip through half of them but then the show will start with no sound because supposedly it’s still “add time”. If you try and go back to fix this, the show will just freeze, or the screen will go black. The infrastructure of this app is so annoying. I have premium, but still have adds on basically EVERY SHOW. Horrible terrible user interfaceGot this app and subscription just for the office and parks and recreation and wow. The WORST user interface of any streaming app I have ever used. If you accidentally close the app, even for one second, it brings you 30 seconds to 1 minute back on the show you’re watching. Which is especially annoying because of how frequent the ads are so if you close the app accidentally you have to watch all of the ads all over again. Or if peacock messes up and brings you back to the beginning of an episode you can’t skip to the part you were watching without having to watch a bunch of ads. Absolute garbageThe app design is terrible. They really try to force their stupid feed concept on you, and make finding specific programs or checking what’s playing at a certain time (live sports) a frustrating experience. All of that earns this app a single star rating. Regarding the service itself, I sincerely hope that it either fails or NBC loses/sells the rights to Premier League broadcasting. They have nearly ruined the ability to enjoy my favorite sport, and I find my favorite team in that sport to constantly be thrown on the Peacock premium service. I wish I could give this app less than 1 starThis app is a complete cash grab. They decided to split up Premier League coverage between Peacock and NBCSN. So now you need two different subscriptions to watch games. To make it worse, you can’t stream from your iPad or iPhone to your television. It’s just completely baffling to me why they’re making it harder to watch these games. I remember being so pleased with NBCSN’s coverage of the premier league when they first started a few years ago. Needs serious fixingThe app is crap to put it bluntly not only on my phone but my tv app which is the worst. The mobile app is slow, glitchy, and buggy. But the tv app is where I have the most issues let’s just say I hope an epileptic doesn’t use it because the glitches include flashing my screen on and off really fast might cause a seizure if I were an epileptic, thankfully I’m not to just hurts my head and that flashing in and off glitch happens either if I skip too many times for I guess the app to handle or it goes on commercials. Garbage Service for Football FansI signed up for peacock as a way to watch the “best” matches in the premier league. Over the past 3 months, I’ve barely been able to watch any. The only matches shown are the lower league dwellers. Why pay for games I don’t even want to watch? What happened by showing all the mouth watering games of the prem? Unfortunately without cable or an alternate cable service there is no way to only watch the premier league. ESPN crushed it with their low cost service of serie a, bundesliga, European qualifiers, etc. but NBC can’t seem to put aside its greed. Olympic coverage with peacock free and premiumI downloaded peacock when it first came out and loved it! It was great for watching shows like Dateline and stuff and I recently decided to get peacock premium due to the Tokyo olympics as the free version didn’t have what I thought the premium version would (live coverage of the events). When upgrading I found that nothing changed with the app itself and the Olympic coverage remained the same. The app on my phone or even my streaming box did not change and did not offer any additional items other than letting me rewatch things like the opening ceremony which was hidden behind the premium paywall. Decent streaming service, TERRIBLE appThe streaming service itself is decent, but this review is for the app specifically (both iPad and Apple TV). For some annoying reason, the app uses its own player rather than the iOS one, which means you can’t use any of the iOS features such as Picture in Picture or AirPlay. When I have a keyboard connected, I can’t use the space bar to play or pause like I can in pretty much every other streaming app. If I pause the video and use another app and then come back, it can often take up to 15 seconds for the video to load again before I can play. My biggest complaint with the app/service is when auto playing the next episode, about 70% of the time the next episode will start somewhere in the middle and I have to manually rewind it back to the beginning. It’s a good thing I’m only re-watching a show I’ve already seen multiple times before so nothing gets spoiled for me, but if I were watching a new show and had something spoiled because of this bug, I would be very upset. All things considered, once I finish watching the show I’m currently watching, I’ll be canceling my Peacock subscription. The app is an atrocity, and don’t get me started on their customer service.Yesterday I purchased a premium subscription so I could watch the newly released Halloween. No big deal right? The app was probably just glitching out or something. Well, I head over to peacock’s web page and it’s doing the exact same thing: telling me that I need to purchase premium. Streaming is decentThe streaming is okay. Haven’t had issues. I have issues with them imposing the app on us in order to watch the Premier League. How is it that so far we’ve HAD to stream to watch the champions of England play 2 of the top teams? The biggest games should be available on TV where the majority of people already pay to watch the EPL. Putting them on the Peacock app is pretty upsetting and likely an attempt to boost their subscriptions to justify putting more big games on the app after NBCSB Gold failed. Additionally, I can’t even use air play because it’s restricted and there’s no app for my 2019 samsung tv. Having a toddler and crawler, we keep wires hidden and out of reach. So, airplay alike is a must. But if I want to watch this on the tv, I have to bring wires out and end up spending half the time keeping the kids from grabbing the wires or pushing buttons on the laptop. Actually offensive.This review is about administration of the app, not the content on Peacock. Like many people, I use the Olympics to gauge how well NBC is keeping up with other services. The format, organization, and editing of the Olympic content is just bad. There are very long clips, impossible to scan quickly. There are short compilations, that almost always omit the best parts of a victory. There is miscellaneous filler, which network execs tell other network execs is relevant. The big rivalries don’t get their own tabs, and the links often relay to other content. NBC is clearly failing to focus groups with non-app users to gauge how actually, frustratingly difficult it is to find-to use probably the most popular example-the three top figure skating performances of the day. I navigate out into the Main peacock app less interested in the Games and the network. More generally, the lack of coherent organization is even more apparent. Can't use if phone is zoomedApp was fine before, no giant issues I came across but now with the recent updates there is a major issue. For folks with iPhones that set their display to the zoom setting is outta luck when it comes to viewing show or movie landing pages if the description of those items is too long. The Zoom setting is very common as text messages and other apps help accommodate by giving folks larger buttons and generally larger text for messaging, etc. The buttons for +My List and Play are completely hidden. I noticed this when I went to add Wicked to my list and just couldn't. There is also no scrolling option, so we cannot just scroll to find the buttons. Swiping up to scroll down in fact just brings up the More Like This page instead. It's impossible to actually play the choice or save it to the list. Some items are fine due to their description text being shorter but the majority of items I tried resulted in no access to these buttons. Big ten not working for osu games.As stated above the night before on the big 10 it shows me the game and the time. On game day it’s not there it’s not a option. I’ve tried chatting with two people to get help. The first guy after 20 minutes or so told me I needed to get ahold of Big Ten Network. I tried couldn’t find a way to connect with them. I went to chat with Peacock a second time. They informed me that I do have the subscription through them. I asked for a phone number they said they didn’t have one. So I texted back and forth and it took several minutes between texts. At one point it said due to inactivity the chat would be closed. Now this was while I was trying to do more research online and switch between the two. Now it took them several minutes to get back to me and that’s ok? After explaining that I needed to go somewhere and didn’t want the chat started over it disconnected me. I’m not sure if that was the representative or just a coincidence. I just want to be able to watch the OSU Buckeye games. That was one of the main reasons I started the subscription to Peacock. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling. App issuesI was so excited to become a Peacock Premium member so that I could enjoy shows like New Girl and Chicago PD, but I’ve quickly switched to disappointed. The app is constantly glitching while I watch shows, which results in me having to reboot the app several times per use. For example, if I’m watching season 1, episode 1 of a show, it will randomly glitch and jump forward to the next episode without warning. Then, when I go to the episode list to backtrack, the episode list is out of order and I’ve lost all progress on that episode. When I click back on the episode I was watching, it automatically starts a countdown to skip to the next episode and even though I click “cancel” it jumps ahead two episodes. Then it kicks me out of the episode list and makes me start the process again. It’s been incredibly frustrating, and I’ve tried everything I can think of to help the system reset: my app is updated, I’ve restarted my phone, used Wi-Fi and data, rebooted the app, and nothing works. I’ve already cancelled my premium subscription so that it will not renew after this month, unfortunately.Josie7714Version: 4.4.22

Worst streaming appOk so is 2020 and you create a streaming app that cannot be casted to a smart tv. Is it me or is that not just dumb. I might have expected this 10 or maybe 5 years ago but in 2020 if you are making a streaming app you better make sure it can cast to a tv. My tv does not get the peacock app so it would have been nice to just air play it. It’s not preferable but it works. But you crated a streaming app that cannot do this. What kind of stupid are your programmers that thought “hey let’s create a streaming app that cannot be casted. There’s a brilliant idea”. Also the app navigation is kinda clunky. I do like one of the original shows but I hate watching it on my phone. For the first few episode I kinda was able to make it cast but when I tried last night i could only connect the sound. One again. What a dumb move at not adding the ability to cast to smart TVs. Why is this not a thing. Hell even the dumbest cable app have figured out the value of allowing there content to be casted. But the big nbc universal company cannot get this one small thing right. Frustrating experienceI am a premium subscriber and find the user experience very disappointing and frustrating. The latest issue is with the sound. For live news streaming (for which I pay a premium), there is background sound and music but no voices. It’s like no one’s mic is working. This started earlier in the week and after contacting customer service (which is a challenge unto itself), there was a lot of back-and-forth with them asking questions, me emailing answers, then more questions from them, more answers from me. Over a period of days. It’s clear they wanted to make this a problem on my end, when every other app I use on AppleTV and my iPhone work just fine. Then, as if by magic, the sound was healthy again two nights ago. Customer service had no idea what happened on their end to fix it. This morning the problem is back, so here we go again, around and around with no idea on their end. I find it hard to believe I’m the only user having this issue; why aren’t they talking internally to get the problem fixed?
