Charging me extra…Dear peacock first of all it’s very difficult to find help using the app I looked for a contact customer service or anything of that nature of contact us button and it seems to be very hard to access from the app at least I couldn’t find it Secondly I pay extra to not have to watch commercials bad as I’m sitting here watching my program I keep getting interrupted every few minutes by a commercial how does this happen I am paying not to have to watch commercials maybe you need to look into this I figure writing a review is the only way to get your attention and that probably won’t work either- I am still having shows with commercials and I pay for ad free - cannot figure out how to contact help - one show was called All of Me - the other was called Eat Up - Girl on fire was another - I have been paying for ad free shows since opening my peacock account and I have always had commercials this is not right - I cannot figure out how to contact help and cannot get help with this - the help category on the app only helps with parental controls - I need help - I should get what I pay for - can a developer contact me thru my sign up email please? And now I’m out of the country, the television here has zero English speaking channels and I cannot watch peacock on my portable device that o use all the time - I don’t understand- it’s not like I signed in on a new device - it is just frustrating- I want to love peacock so much because of the fantastic Library - but come on man -.Version: 4.6.11
I love peacock!!!❤️It seems like I spent 90% of my time watching Peacock. All my favorite shows are around here if I’m looking for a movie it’s on here. I like how it goes to the next movie. I don’t really have to do anything. It plays what comes up next there are times where it takes me to other shows that I would prefer not to watch like if I’m not in the room when it goes to the next show and then the show I can’t get it off my continue watching because the series goes on and you gotta skip to the end of the last episode in the last series but then a couple months go by and a whole Nother series comes out so every week it’s in your continue watching. I wish there was a way to remove from watchlist. But other than that, there’s never been like a streaming issue. I’ve never had a buffering issue. It’s been smooth sailing. I’m an annual subscriber and I absolutely love it. Update they took the time to respond to my review and they made it to where you can turn off the show from continue watching. I’m even more in love! One that they even took the time to look at what I wrote, but also they did something about it. My Apple TV won’t let me do it so I went on the app on my iPad. There’s three little dots on the show that I don’t like seeing in my continue watching and it says removed from continue watching. I am over the moon happy❤️❤️.Version: 7.1.21
Honestly, what is Netflix/hulu/hbo max?I never knew what to expect from Peacock, I downloaded it because it was free. I wasn’t really looking for any show/movie in specific, just another one of those apps to browse different genres of movies/shows. I became the most HOOKED when i found out about the Latino section and what it has to offer. I am a Mexican American, and in my household we usually gravitate towards English oriented shows. Growing up I was influenced by my grandmother who would watch her Spanish-speaking shows. I caught on to a couple here and there but one show in particular Case Closed was one that i never expected to find on this app. Let me just say that when I first started watching the show on Peacock there was only one season currently streaming, I am beyond psyched that they keep adding more seasons and episodes. GOD bless this app because this show is all i watch at work. I appreciate the variety that they offer. Going off into a different story here, my sister is a big fan of the Office. Netflix recently removed that show and guess who decided to start streaming them. Over New Years my sister mentioned to her fiancé that she was bummed that the Office would no longer be on Netflix. A couple days after New Year’s I get a notification from peacock and they advertise that the office is now streaming, all seasons, all episodes. Right away i sent my sister a screenshot and now we are a family who enjoys Peacock. Thank you guys/girls for the amazing work that you put into this app. Outstanding work..Version: 1.8.5
Terrible AppI need to start this by saying the content on Peacock is AMAZING!!!! I will not stop putting poor reviews on this app though. Watch it on your tv or anything other than a phone. I am literally watching shows and having them stop randomly and the next episode starts 5-10 minutes of an episode starting. I have shows I have watched before that I listen to while at work and can’t even begin to describe the pure anger and hatred I have towards this app when it changes to another episode without any prompting whatsoever. Please just fix this app. I don’t understand how not a single other streaming service I have has this problem except Peacock which, unfortunately for me, is the one I want to watch the most. DAILY it is cutting the the next episode of a show I’m watching within 15 minutes of it even starting. I really just need you guys to hear this so you can (hopefully) fix it. If I were ever to stop subscribing to peacock it would be purely based on the poor performance of the app and nothing else because the content on here is everything I and my family want. A Bit FrustratingI use Peacock a lot, but take issue with some of the things it does in relation to other platforms of its kind. I usually have it on my iPad at my desk while I work. I have ADHD and it helps to always have noise in my ears when I work. As a result, I watch a lot of the same things over and over since I don’t have to watch…I can just listen, so it doesn’t become a distraction vs. a crutch. I do take quite a bit of calls and meetings, so I tend to pause a lot. Sometimes the call is long enough that the tech I’m using falls asleep, forcing me to relaunch the app all over again, locate what I was watching, and often, restart. *sigh* #timesucker Also…shows that I have started fall out of my “continue watching” ALL THE TIME, even though they are still offered on the platform. And when I go find them again, it starts me over from the beginning. Also…if I am watching on my iPad, I will close the app out before switching to a TV for example. When I do this, the expectation would be that I could pick up where I left off on the new device, but that doesn’t work. Usually it starts off from where I left off on the new device. That would make sense if we weren’t watching from the same individual family account that we set up (mom, dad, kid…). I like the platform and use it regularly…I use several streaming sites, actually and all have some quirks that are frustrating. It would be nice if they all had some consistency since we are really almost being forced to use them now. At least if you are a TV/Movie junkie like myself 😉.Version: 5.9.31
An Update To Fix Randomly Skipping Episodes Is Well OverdueI will be fair to Peacock here, I'm an experienced customer with Peacock. I've had a mostly positive experience with the platform and I enjoy most of the content on here, but two weeks of episode skipping and one update later and it's still broken? What bugs are no more exactly? What did you decide was glitchier than this problem? This is unethical, you have half of the user base complaining in the reviews about episode skipping and yet somehow the "latest" patch doesn't fix it. Haven't you ever heard of the phrase "the customer is always right"? People say it for a reason, you turn away customers with your ignorance. I even question if actual human beings that work at Peacock read the reviews on the App Store, every "developer response" is an automated request to email peacock to provide more information. They'd certainly get that if they read everything, and they'd also be able to see that the only glitch that needed fixing was episode skipping. I normally love this app and it would get a 5 stars from me, but this level of ignorance drops it down to a 3. Listen to your customers Peacock, the app is completely unusable in its current state. You could just say "only watch movies" but you're missing out on so much content if you take away the TV Show category, and it undermines the value of a streaming service. This issue is extremely important to quality of life for its user base, if it continues to be poor I will look elsewhere and so will many others. Solid App, Confusing UIUPDATE: As of 2025, I do not have any issues with this app. I have found it to be reliable and while I do have the ad version, the ad breaks come naturally in where they would be on cable tv and are still shorter. Being able to edit your “Continue Watching” section has been a godsend since the wife has a hard time completing shows. I stream a lot of the live sports and hardly have any issues. I still think the UI can be confusing. Updated from 2 to 4 stars. 2021: While the Peacock app has a solid selection of film and tv to choose from, being able to stream it is a whole other issue. First, in order to stream via chromecast, you must allow Peacock to access your local network in settings. Once you select this option, the chromecast symbol will show up in your app. However, once it starts streaming, it doesn’t support it very long. While watching “Jaws” today, it stopped at every ad break and I had to disconnect, connect, and then start streaming again. It was a very disruptive process and frustrating enough for me to stop and write this review. All the other reviews you’re reading also apply. Son of BigfootIt has good movies peacock doesn’t have anything to buy everything is free and you also can watch movies and you also can do a plan in or if you can also do a plan and I think it’s really good because they have good movies on there and some of the movies that you find that probably like to buy one buy, and they have new movie like they have woman woman in the yard coming soon and they had a movie and they have have a vampire movie that pose the band in the movie and wasn’t the movie and I just like that because you don’t have to pay for anything and everything is free. You can just sit back with your popcorn and your drinks and just to relax especially officially me and my mom we love peacock and peacock is the best thing you’ve ever had. they don’t do none of that stuff and I’ll tell you now maybe go in there and get peacock because they do not play you better go and get peacock. Always strive for more!!I NEVER EVER take the time to write a review unless, I feel STRONG about giving credit where I feel it’s definitely owed. I think the reason I love my peacock so much is because they stream the channels AND shows on any of the networks they are with, I happened to have ALREADY on cable, obsessed with a ton of shows they air!! I’m sure that helps, but they also offer the streaming service at (I feel is a lil pricey) however pricing or not I still pay the premium to indulge in my shows and movies! I will say that I ONLY pay because of the service they provide (never have ever had issues streaming) but they also HONOR their NO ADDS subscription also. I HATE when I pay to NOT have adds (because I can’t stand them! Which is why I think it’s GREAT they even offer a plan that doesn’t have them!!😊!! Nothing gets my “ knickers in a twist” as my grandmother would say lol.. to pay for NO ADDS and they still find a way to wiggle a few in here and there….. I don’t care if they’re not as long as “normal” adds…. I pay for ZERO, so I expect ZERO!! Thank you Peacock for honoring your packaging. That’s why I STILL pay and will continue too even if a lil pricey but ZERO ADDS is worth every cent in my opinion lol..Version: 7.5.11
Great Accessibility ProgressI am pleased to say that the Peacock app is much more accessible with screen readers than before and I thank anyone who has helped to make this happen. I have only noticed one small glitch in the current version. If you are playing a video and press the audio subtitles button, VoiceOver will not display the available options. It only gives you an option to dismiss the menu. I also noticed that in both the app and website that audio description will not stay on. Every time you open the browser or app to resume a show, and when the next episode plays automatically, the audio track defaults back to original English, meaning that you need to manually enable audio description for every episode. It would be incredibly helpful if description were to automatically stay enabled for specific profiles, and only default to original when someone disables description or switches profiles. DisappointingThe reality show variety is pretty decent, but otherwise there aren’t a lot of great movies or shows that aren’t available on other platforms. However, I like reality tv, so I stayed. The biggest issue I have with the app is the price point for the subscription- for such a high price there should be more curated content. My second biggest issue which is really important for reality tv shows (the reason I stayed) - if I decide to start a new show and press play, instead of it starting on my first unwatched episode (i.e. s1e1) - it starts on the most recent season first episode (s4e1). This has basically spoiled entire shows by starting me on a reunion episode or an “up until now” recap showing me clips from all the seasons and throwing me off completely. Ruins a lot of shows that kept me on the platform to begin with. For the amount of money the company makes you’d think this QOL update would have been implemented by now. That, and the amount of times I’ve had the “playback error” and had to restart a show. It can be infuriating to spend so much monthly on a shoddy crashing app with no intuition and more bugs than variety..Version: 7.5.11
Could be better with a few easy tweaksI like peacock it’s a decent platform but there’s a few setbacks versus other apps… first, you can’t turn off auto play in settings. This I find very annoying as I can’t play my shows on my bedroom tv at night in fear that I’ll fall asleep & it’ll just keep playing & playing & playing. I can’t think of 2 other streaming apps off the top of my head where you can turn it off & it even remembers which device (i.e. it auto plays on my living room tv but then on my bedroom tv it doesn’t) This is such a stellar feature so especially with NBC pulling their shows off of all other platforms this is a huge let down that it doesn’t have this capability. Also, on the Apple TV the fast forward/backward AND play/pause tend to seriously lag. I watch tv with my mom once a week who lives far away & again on almost every other platform I can audibly get us in sync. Thanks to this lag it’s virtually impossible on the peacock app which is again very annoying. Otherwise the content is amazing & the rest of the app works well but when comparing it to others it does have shortcomings..Version: 3.10.11
Continued Watching List (CWL)I let me just first say that I love and use this app daily. However, I can’t give 5 stars because of a small but annoying problem… the Continued Watching List (CWL) I’ve accidentally clicked on shows and movies that start playing and it ends up on the CWL There are a few shows/movies that sound good but then I once I watch one or two episodes or the beginning a movie and then don’t like it. Then I’m stuck with it on the CWL. I know that I can just skip to the end and that clears it for CWL but that only works for movies and shows that are no longer airing new episodes. I know any others will agree that it is just annoying. Other streaming services have the option to clear a show or movie from their CWLs so I know that it can be done. On some other platforms you can either/or just remove it while using the app where as others you may have to use their websites to remove them. From the Millions of users of this app please add this feature and let us have a better experience with what is otherwise a great app..Version: 5.3.11
Best of any streaming servicesI love this app — I watch something from it every day. There are an astounding number of shows available at no recurring cost to me (I wait through 45 seconds of ads during a show’s normal commercial break). Other streaming services (cough cough Disney, CBS, etc. cough cough) have nearly everything trapped behind a paywall, and honestly I can’t afford 6 dollars here, 5 dollars there, every single month, to four or five streaming services. Frankly I do not want to sign up not only due to budget but from principle: when the writing hit the wall with companies pulling shows from Netflix to move them to their own premium streaming services, I said then that I wouldn’t sign up for multiple premium services because I saw it as the companies’ greed. And I don’t have to with Peacock, because they make so much available while being so reasonable with their consumers. So because of their model, this is one streaming service where I actually would sign up for premium just to support them..Version: 1.8.5
Just stopI downloaded Peacock because I’m an Xfinity subscriber, so it felt like a no brainer. After looking over the content, I was actually quite amazed. It made me even consider starting up the commercial free subscription. Your app is good, it’s easy to filter through, I can find what I’m looking for and it’s visually appealing. So why just 3 stars when everything seems much more above average, with way more content than I was expecting? Since Saturday July 18, 2020 when I started up, you have been doing NOTHING but spamming my inbox. I’ve signed up for your app. I’m engaged and WHEN I HAVE THE TIME, I’ll start binging a ton of shows I didn’t know I would have access to watch. What is WRONG with companies who feel once I’ve signed up for your service it is THEN you start ad-boming me. You’re not the only one, but I’ve got to say, your desire to inundate me MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY with useless suggestions and reminders to use your app at a frequency I would have to quit my job makes me completely sour on your service to which I’ve not even had a chance to explore. I’M TOO BUSY DELING THE EMAILS YOU KEEP SENDING ME IN ALL MY FREE TIME!!! I’m now going to go in, cancel all communications and make it where I won’t accept your cookies. I doubt that’s what you wanted, but for someone who was excited about your service, you’ve just made me like you less. I should not have to opt out because you think people want their inbox filled up with nothing but garbage advertising emails for a service I’ve already agreed to watch. A person who was going to sign up for your premium service. It’s called courtesy and companies should probably learn that it applies to ‘them’ as well. What is going on!Why am I paying for a premium subscription with an add-on, if you won’t even let me watch anything. I’ve had peacock for 3 years and now all of a sudden… when I log in, I can click on the movie/tv title but, when I hit play… nothing happens. This has been going on for 2 weeks now. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app. Closed out background apps. I’ve cleared the apps cache. I’ve checked and ran a internet/data test (it passed). I’ve turned off and restarted my device and made sure phone was up to date (it is up to date). I’ve signed out my account on all the devices I use. And it still won’t work. It only plays on my Ipad. But, I don’t take that with me everywhere. I’ve tried the above steps again today. And still nothing. What’s the point of me wasting my money for something I can’t even use. You’re just getting free money from me while I receive a service that barely works and I will not keep freely supplying it..Version: 5.7.23
Could be greaterI really love this streaming app and the shows on it. I use it on my iPhone and Apple TV, but it could be better. The most consistent issue is let’s say I’m watching something on my iPhone at work and hours later I come home to watch it on my Apple TV, it takes forever to sync together where I am at on a movie/show. So I have to fast forward where I’m at if I can remember correctly. And same vis versa from my Apple TV to my iPhone. Another issue I just started having is after it plays an ad, it won’t go straight back to where it left off before it went to the ad. It will go back a few minutes or to the previous break and start there again and be a loop. So I have to quit the app and restart again and then fast forward to where I should have been. So the app is getting very frustrating with basic using, I make sure the app is updated and my iPhone is updated. This doesn’t happen with any other apps..Version: 6.3.12
Constantly unresponsiveI have had this app for a long time. I love the content and the wide variety of options. However, it is constantly unresponsive when I go to play videos. I can open the home page, even tap on the name of the show and it will show a list of episodes, but when I go to play an episode or movie, literally nothing happens. I can tap and tap on the episode or movie and it is completely unresponsive. It doesn’t even open a black screen with the loading circle in the middle. Just…nothing. I can scroll up and down, and return to the home page, so it’s not the whole app that’s frozen up. Just won’t play videos. I have tried closing and reopening the app, restarting my phone, signing out and back in, even deleting and reinstalling the app and nothing helps. It will randomly work or not work with no rhyme or reason. Super frustrating to have a paid subscription I can’t even access half the time..Version: 5.10.11
