Great Open StorageI was looking for a domain that could hold my files externally without having to rely on a phisical thumb drive, storage, or SSD simply because hardware can randomly fail (been there) or can get damaged. This option blows everything physical out the water. Not only do I not have to worry about damaging or losing anything physical. I can also store files anywhere with an internet connection either 📶or🛜 as well as reciprocally access any files I have stored. I know there’s a few service offering the same but the way everything’s stored and organized as well as the amount of storage offered is above and beyond what any other company offers. The best for last- the amount other places charge monthly adds up quickly not to mention when doing the math over a single year or 5yrs and migrating is always a headache. I like the amount of storage they offer on their essentials/free plan.. easily comparable to the top end/highest cost storage offered by others. I also like the peace of mind and privacy offered; knowing my stored files aren’t being perused through or copied into a third party server. 5stars for storage offered; accessibility; organization; ease of use; and friendly interface. Okay appThere’s things I like about this app and things I don’t……. For instance I’m only using this app for mp4 files. I think it’s dumb how for one you can only view videos in “1080” when you buy the premium, this is all and well but what if the video I’ve downloaded to TeraBox was already 1080p or higher?? Is the app then not allowing me to watch the video in what I downloaded it in? Or is it in full quality and just not telling me because the 1080 premium lock????? Also I don’t think it makes any sense how I can’t PUT FILES FROM TERABOX BACK ONTO MY ACTUAL IPHONE. With the share button there is no “save to photos” or “save to files” like I said I’m only using the app for mp4 so I don’t know about with anything else, but regardless I’d say it’s pretty dumb I can’t save files to my phone on an app that’s meant for storing and sharing files…. Even if I “download” the video on terabox the only other option I can do is delete. This also leads me to my biggest problem with TeraBox, if none of my videos were “downloaded” until I downloaded the one to make this review….. then how is the app still taking up my storage by just having files in it…???? Doesn’t that kind of defeat the purpose. I downloaded the app to put files on it to CLEAR UP space on my phone. One of the best cloud storage services…This company is truly devoted. At first I thought there would be a catch to this amazing deal they offer to anyone and everyone (1024GB) but as I used their services (technology and software) the quality they offer is top notch. First, let start off with the iPhone app itself. Well made, EASY as ever to back up ALL of my photos and videos from the phone. Plus, it lets you view photos and videos from other devices that I’ve already backed up. You can view them in the album area which is also well designed. If a photo is already backed up on the cloud, it ignores. When viewing a photo or video, it will lower the resolution to save data. If you want to view the photo in full, it lets you choose weather you want to view a photo from cellular or WiFi (which is a life saver sometimes). Upload speed is good, larger files will take longer but that’s usual with cloud services and ultimately dependent on your internet speeds it’s. The download speed is decent, allowing very fast download for photos and smaller files (20MB in size). When it comes to free cloud storage options, nothing comes close to Terabox!Sure- there are a lot of ads which does slow things down a bit. 👍This app has worked wonders for me. Good job guys. I do have to put 4 stars though and here’s why. It has problems with opening your content when not connected to wifi. If it even opens at all. I’ve had to be connected to wifi to start with. Drop off as it is opening the file and it works. But just for that one time. Also if there were a way to auto back up everything. Files and all. It gets very confusing having to do them one by one. And having the ability to open all types of files/play all types of video/audio files and view all images. A helpful tool with a 500 file limitI have found Terabox to be a reliable and efficient storage platform for a significant portion of my personal and professional files. Prior to uploading my files, I always ensure the security of my data by utilizing encryption software. While the advertised storage capacity of 1TB initially attracted me to the platform, I have noticed that the actual storage capacity is somewhat limited due to the restriction on the number of files that can be uploaded. Specifically, Terabox only allows for the upload of 500 files, which has at times presented a challenge for me in managing my storage needs. Stores and keeps track better than any other.I’ve used every mid and major cloud but all fell short somehow. The big one was somehow ending up with duplicates of duplicates from the app not syncing right or to all devices readily or other reasons, and I’d have to spend a lot of time clearing it. Terra tells you whether they’re uploaded or not. Easy. Love it. Uploads are mid to high depending on server loads it seems. Great data backup saverThis app is amazing. Ads are true and legit. Does exactly what it is intended. Saved me the trouble of backing up my data. A terabyte wow!It’s a wonderful service! For the most part, the organizing files is great. I understand about requiring premium for certain things, such as video uploads, and I’m grateful that they allow other means to get premium other than just paying money, such as video ads a certain amount of times. App is good but slow mo vids are buggy an a lot of scammy ads.Conclusion: It’s a good app for free if you wanna upload your pictures in full quality. All my uploaded pictures add up to 2 gigabytes (about 800 pictures) so keep that in mind. Videos do get compressed without the premium version, but appear in full quality. Slow motion videos are buggy. Pro: You quite literally can get one terabyte of free storage to upload whatever files to. Cons: Videos don’t upload in full quality, even though sometimes it appears they have been uploaded in full quality. There are also a lot of ads that sometimes make me nervous for my phones safety but nothing has happened so I think I’m good. Slow motion videos are buggy, not being the same as the original. Great storage but annoying adsPro: It does help with clearing out my camera roll and reducing storage on my phone. I can place my photos in folders I have created. When I first downloaded it gave the options to do “tasks” to get more data storage, but that has changed. Con: I feel the ads have gotten more annoying than last time. Purchased Premium with AppleID but still not workingI purchased the premium version last year using my AppleID and the email address provided by apple to hide my info. This may be the problem. Apple support verified it is an active subscription. I contacted TeraBox support multiple times. It hasn’t been resolved. Basically, a few months ago, I uninstalled the app but did not delete it. From the TeraBox website, I was assured that my account would not get deleted if I delete the app from my phone, because the photos/videos are stored in the cloud. So I deleted the app from my phone, because I needed more memory (I hadn’t backed up to TeraBox like I should have been). When I reinstalled the TeraBox app using my apple ID, the premium version wasn’t working. My old photos and videos also don’t show up. Ads are continually popping up, and even if I try purchasing the premium version again, apple tells me I am already subscribed. It even renewed recently. I even thought that if I linked the email apple generated to purchase the subscription that it might work. It wouldn’t accept the apple relay email. Then I tried linking the email associated with my AppleID that was used to purchase the premium version. That didn’t work and may have made it worse. I also tried registering the appleID relay email that is linked to the purchase, but apple relay emails aren’t supported for registration. TeraBox support doesn’t seem to be able to understand my issue. I am really hoping TeraBox support can help me troubleshoot. The worst app I’ve ever used, if you value your own mental health DO NOT DOWNLOADI’ve never complained about an app or even written a review so please understand how bad this app is to make me do this. I have tried to download from this app and it says it has “downloaded” but isn’t anywhere. I have had to watch a full program of ads before it even attempts to “download”. While I am not one to complain about ads in apps that are free, the ads make this app unusable. Apparently, in the past, short videos could be added without a subscription… but now, none. That’s absurd and a total dealbreaker for me. Not so good anymoreSo when I first installed this app I had no issues 1tb of storage straight from downloading it. Their wasn’t so many adds as their is now , video uploading was not limited , and you didn’t need premium to upload or to watch files in 4k or 1080p. Incredibly disappointingI originally downloaded this app to be able to store and manage some of my pdf files. And was surprised to find that you cannot edit and save files without a paid subscription. Major bug in the app.From what I can see the whole 1TB free space issue so far seems to be real. On this side everything is wonderful. However, there are some situations that are very annoying. What happens is that the application is adapted for the iPhone, however the application for the iPad does not adapt correctly. For example you can only see it vertically and that's really annoying. In addition, the entire loading interface needs to be completely redesigned.
