Life Saving App!! “De-Sharpen” is heaven sent!I’ve downloaded and tried pretty much every single “professional” camera app out there and this was the only one that effortlessly bypassed that dang “auto enhance algorithm” nonsense - Oh yeah we all know know what I’m talking abt. Taking Live Photos using this app with that “De-Sharpen” function on was such a bliss - finally an app that does the RAW Live photos justice!! No over saturation no over brightness no over contrast, everything remains natural, subtle, and beautiful — as they well should!!! This is gonna save all my future backlit photos /live photos from that over-processing nightmare, thank you!!!!!🥹🥹🥹Please, please, please keep this function until the end of time. Also was able to seamlessly switch between different formats, including +ProRaw!! Soooo so much easier than going back to camera settings to turn on that “Apple ProRaw”. One more thing worth mentioning, the interface is super elegant and friendly as well! The spitfire of camera appsVarlens is an all-in-one camera app. You will be astounded by the number of features that are in this well designed application. It has both photo and video camera not found in many other video cameras. I’m especially found of the selection of filters that can be used while capturing and editing. The selection of frame rates cannot be found in any of the best video camera apps. Dig deep into Varlens and you won’t be dissapoibted. The subscription cost is more then reasonable. Definitely not freeium.My first impression was it’s free to download so I should be allowed a basic function that is still better than most other apps out there, but I was wrong here. I am fully allowed to use any of the functions but will not be able to save the contents I would have created without signing up for the pro. Which is decently priced. Photos are great but battery drains out very fastGreat photos and awesome filters. Even though I like photos so much, I have to go with 3 star due to battery issue. App drains the battery and phone will be hot after 20-30 min usage. I feel we should have backup battery if we plan to spend half day outside and taking photos frequently. 1 added feature that would change the game for this app and truly make it unrivaled.First off the program layout is amazing it’s very easy to control, perfect for beginners and advanced photographers and videographers. The only thing I personally need added in the app is in the videography section. I have a DJI Gimbal and there’s no way to control the settings for it with this application, it affects how I can zoom in and the movement produced by My gimbal. I’d love to make a video for the application, if your at all interested I can record it and edit it. Reason I mention that is on YouTube there’s no videos showing people how to use and find all of the settings available. Keep up the work and hope to see that feature added..Kevin. You will not be disappointed!I love photography - and I love this app so much so that my cameras have had little usage since installing . Take the time to get to know all of the features . The killer feature i absolutely adore is the ability to install LUTs (look them up ) to mimic a particular look / film simulation and apply it at time of capture . I can go on a day trip , take a bunch of photos , with say a Kodak portra LUT arhat I purchased in aftermarket (there are some really good ones pre-installed ) and come home to beautiful pictures that I can share immediately - no tweaking , SOOTC beauty . With a few different LUTs pre-installed , I can capture different looks for the photos . I might take a few colour images that look like slide film , while a few others in B&W (with say an acros look ) all at time of capture . It’s amazing and I’m glad I found it . 48MP only in manual modeI thought the app sounded great and purchased it to take a few photos at a once in a lifetime car show. I was upset finding that all the photos were in 12mp. I contacted the customer service feedback and they replied that 48mp is only allowed in manual mode. I use the iPhone camera for quick shots mostly and don’t have the cognitive skills (I have 2 brain disabilities) to quickly adjust settings so I rely on automatic mode the majority of the time. The app seemed to be pretty decent especially with additions, and the subscription cost isn’t too bad for what you get. but I can’t justify keep paying a subscription fee for something that I won’t use all the time. If you can shoot manual then I would recommend taking a look at the app. If you just rely on auto, look at another camera app as you will be wasting the 48mp photos the iPhone can take..Mark928sVersion: 5.2.2

Why does zooming make 12mp?The old version of the app allowed up to 2x zoom before we would get 12 mp. Now, everything after 1x becomes 12. Even though it’s still using the 48 mp lens.
