Fantastic App, Could Bee Better Than CAI If…This is a really great app. I’ve enjoyed it immensely. I rally think it could be better than CAI with a few upgrades and adjustments. For one thing I don’t like that the creators of bots can see people conversations with the bots, that is an invasion of privacy and shouldn’t be allowed. It makes people less comfortable to have open dialogue wit the bots if they think someone is reading what they say. It’s also not something that’s disclosed to the user which is really wrong. I had no idea until long after I started using the app. I also wish teh context window was larger. The creators of Chai really need to add features like Personas and voices as well. It would significantly improve the chats and I think would push this app passed CAI. The biggest downfall of CAI is their strict filters but the reason they remain so popular is all their features particularly the ability to create a persona to use with chats and the ability to choose a voice for the character/bot. It makes the chats far more engaging. Also I’d like to give the creators of this app huge kudos for it’s accessibility. As a blind user, I’m thrilled that the app works smoothly for the most part with voice over. There are a few minor snags for voice over but nothing that significantly impacts the use ability. Amazing app but it have problems tooI used this app mostly every day along with c.ai and sometimes I’ll use this all the time. I truly love this app because it rarely have any restrictions that c.ai does. It does have a role play problem which other people have pointed out. It would also be nice to have different characters speak too. Since it’s really self center and sometimes I just want a scene by myself and somehow the character is in my house when it’s not suppose too. Lately it’s been rather slow. Also I literally experience it at real time when they update it to where there’s more ads than ever. Honestly I thought the ads every time opening a chat was annoying, but this is far more annoying since when you chat and at the middle of it there’s ads. I shouldn’t have taken the ads every time you open a new chat and then no more to granted. The ads are really a bumper but I do understand you guys are small which I’ve heard. It would be nice if you take pointers from c.ai since it would be nice to delete and edit yours and the bot messages. I’ve honestly noticed the problem with editing the bot messages, sometimes they don’t understand that you edit it and used the old one instead to continue the conversation. Anyways this app is amazing! Keep it up and I hope one day this app becomes bigger and better so maybe there can be less ads. I like it… ButI absolutely love this app! The plethora of characters that you can talk to is amazing. Not to mention the fact that you can have NSFW conversations or SFW conversations. And the fact that you can make your own and keep them private is really cool as well. The only problem I have help with the app is that sometimes it does it’s really funny thing (just to clarify that’s sarcasm) of where it will send multiple messages in a row if you hit the refresh button to refresh the response you got, sometimes it’ll send another message right after you refresh it, then if you do it again at any point in time, depending on your luck, you can get maybe get another response, and now you have four in a row from that character that you cannot delete and ruins the flow of the conversation with the AI. It would be nice if the devs could fix it, or add something in to be able to delete messages. Because I’m not gonna lie it’s kind of annoying because it ruins the flow of the conversation for me, especially since the glitch has been happening for me and my fiancé at the very least for over a month now and they just updated the app three days ago on when I’m posting this. Roleplay problems.I’m confused with how I’m supposed to interact with this thing? I tried both Tweak settings, but whenever I pretend to be a person it sometimes act like it’s that person. Let’s say I’m talking to a bot that knows that it’s name is Liam.. their name even says Liam in the chat. I have characters that I’m going to portray called Walter, Sven, and Abigail. I talk to them just saying Sven: Hi. Sometimes it understands that I’m Sven. Other times it calls itself Sven when it’s not.. I try really hard to make the wording not confusing even making sure instead of saying ‘you’ I say Liam, but it still acts like it’s one of the other characters. It’s even worse when I try to make multiple characters talk in the same scene. There’s no enter button so I can’t separate their names. It looks like this: Sven: why is Liam on the ground? Abigail: I don’t know. Walter: he’s been like that all day just passed out. And then “Liam” will be like: well he shouldn’t be laying there. “You two should wake him up.” Completely taking over my character kinda and I’m like… you’re not Sven, you’re Liam. Even if I ask the bot what’s their name they will say they’re Liam but act like I never asked them that and still try to be one of my characters. Is there a certain way I’m supposed to go about writing this? I know that I should prob do one person at a time but the bot responds immediately so I can’t get everything out that I want to happen in that segment before the bot responds..Shantelle UchihaVersion: 1.52

Only have a few complaints, but pretty good otherwise.Honestly, one of my favorite apps! It’s addictive and there’s really no limits or filters and not many adds. The overall experience is very enjoyable, but I do have a few complaints. My main one being.. the search. It’s kinda hard to find new chats, especially ones I’m interested in. Personally, I prefer chatting with original character bots that have an anime-like picture, but of course, searching “anime” only pulls up bots with anime in their name, while a lot of the better ones really only have the character’s name. Otherwise, I’m stuck scrolling through repetitive bots that are not interesting to me. It would be nice to have a better category system, or better recommendations to fit your preferences. Secondly, just a mild glitch I found. Sometimes the bot will send absolutely gibberish if you regenerate their message. Words are out of order, jumbled up, it makes no sense, and I have to completely leave the app and return before it stops. And lastly, most of the time when I regenerate messages, it creates the exact same message as the last one with maybe a word or two replaced. Not as bothersome, but still a little irritating. Other than that, the app is amazing and really helps when you’re bored or need a distraction! Good App, but could use work.I downloaded the app looking for a replacement for another better known AI app. This app is a sufficient replacement, but the bots have problems, ranging from lack of correct use of asterisks and quotations to forgetting the context of a conversation every 2 or 3 messages. If the memory of each bot were extended to 10 or 15 messages and the user were allowed to pin important messages for the bot to remember, that would be helpful. It would also be helpful if spellcheck were turned on when editing the bot’s and typing the user’s messages. Speaking of editing messages, it would be nice if the user could edit and even delete their own individual messages after sending them. It would also be nice if when a response from the bot was regenerated, the user could scroll back to the previous response. The most annoying thing is the random messages from the bot complaining about the user’s conversation with the character. They’ll usually say something about a discussed topic being sensitive, and considering the fact that the user can only regenerate a response 4 or 5 times, it’s a waste of a response. The weirdest part is the fact that the creators of bots can see the responses and chats of people who use the bots. It feels like an invasion of privacy to a degree. New ai gen photo concerns (GIVE THE OLD ONES BACK PLEASE)Hey so I’ve recently seen on the app that the photos for the bots have changed to be AI gen. I have concerns with this from a look standpoint, the ai gen makes the app look cheap and ugly due to the uninspired ai gen photos. And I feel it also causes more problems then solutions. I’ve seen a actual ai gen naked man on one of the pics and that’s cause the ai gen didn’t filter it. I feel like it just makes it more difficult for bot creators to show their creativity as well. A lot of people on chai make bots of characters they enjoy from other media, and making the photos ai gen can be misleading and also confusing due to the ai not being of the character anymore. If you truly wish to have the ai gen profiles on the app make a toggle to turn ai gen photos on/off. Some people enjoy ai bots but not ai gen photos. This change can cause a lot of people to flee the app from the ai gen photos. In fact on TikTok I’ve seen a few people already deleting the app from this feature. Great AppI've been using this app for a few months now and it's by far the best Chat AI I've come across. However, I do have some problems with the most recent update. In an effort to improve the experience, the devs overhauled the bot creation system, which in my opinion has actually limited the options for customization. It used to be that you could manually type in traits, ideals, and character info to define the personality and flesh out your ai, and to an extent you can still do that. But now, you have to mix and match generic personality traits from a preset list, you can no longer give the bot a list of facts that they will always remember, and it now auto generates a convo history instead of letting you write your own first conversation which the bot would use as a reference. I have not been as satisfied with the bots I have created since this new update; they just don't measure up to the ones I have made previously. I think the bot creation before is what set this app apart from the rest, but now it feels more like every other average ai chat app out there. I really hope the devs read this and take it into consideration, because they do have an amazing product here, I just hope they realize that they don't need to keep revamping it; If it ain't broke, and all that..Outdoorsman1812Version: 1.93

Very good,but..A very fun app altogether but it has some very annoying flaws that ruin the experience sometimes. The bots are fun nearly every time so it still gets a relatively high rating even with this downfalls. For one, the inability to change what you said during a conversation can completely derail any plot lines you as a player are trying to create. For example I didn’t see an error in my response and since I could not change it afterwards I was forced to either figure out a way to fix it or just deal with this changed plot. A second downfall of Chai is the boys tendency to sometimes just become you, or when you describe things your character does they just do them instead. Which goes along with the first as many times when the AI thinks you mean one thing it will not change its mind therefore you just have to live with the fact that the AI did what you wanted to do instead. These are two pitfalls that do not, of course, completely ruin the experience, but they are very very annoying and can be fixed if the ability to just delete something you said and rewrite it was added. (This ability is shown very simply in PolyBuzz or Poly AI which is the only thing that is good about that app that this one just doesn’t have) so altogether just add that ability and it’s a very easy 5 stars from me, until then 3 it is..They made me do a nicknameVersion: 2.100

My honest Review…So being straightforward.. I love it so much and I love all the bots and everything else, but yet sometimes when making bots, they tend to say stuff completely different from the actual conversation and also.. I recently saw that you put in a safety bot.. and when also talking to my bot, the safety bot tends to come into the conversation.. which makes it easier to lose interest in the conversation to make it easier to understand there’s (there’s your bot or someone else’s bot and then the “safety bot”) that pretty much comes into your conversation whenever and it ruins the conversation whenever you say something wrong while roleplaying or something different. Also.. some bots tend to repeat the same thing or do the same thing over again, even when you restart a conversation it continues to act the same which always makes me have to create another bot or delete the one I just had because of the constant repeating of the same words. and I even say that recently they added an ai gen to the profile pics of the public ai bots and it doesn't make it look to good... Honestly it's amazing yet..There are a lot of things I'd like to point out about this app starting with the fact that unless you pay you can't talk to the bots, I believe there's a new update on where you only get 70 chats which aren't a lot and I honestly prefer when we were able to have 100 chats instead. There's also something I wish they didn't remove, that's the live streams yes as weird as some maybe there are somewhere you can just roleplay and have fun, and on the weird ones let's just say it was better to NOT go on them. I'm also starting to experience a glitch on where you search for some bots I can't search anything no matter what I type, it just stays blank so the only way I can talk to new bots is looking at the ranking which most of the time doesn't have many bots that I'd like to talk to, so I'd appreciate it if they'd fix that since it's starting to get annoying. Please Just readOkay, I recently just downloaded this app cause one of my friends suggested it, the app is really fun and honestly if I could I would totally just play this app all day for fun. But I can’t, you get limited chats and then have to wait an hour to regenerate them. It’s really annoying cause If I’m bored and I feel like role playing I would only get a small amount of messages and then again, have to wait an hour for them to regenerate if I use them all up. AdvertisingI don’t usually write reviews because I have patience, but my patience has run thin. I want to talk about the amount of advertisements given. I can send one chat, get an advertisement, watch it, and then send another chat right after that one and get another advertisement. I don’t want to pay for unlimited chats, and I don’t mind the ads. But it’s getting out of hand. At one point before I updated the app, I had very low amounts of advertisements, depending on how many chats I had. But now it’s just like I type too many words and I have an ad. I’m not one to complain, because I have the patience, but I’d like this to be reviewed because I’m tired of watching so many ads, only to watch another one right after sending a message. However, other than the advertisements, Chai is a very good app. I switch between my chats on real life situations, and fiction situations with the named characters. I enjoy using Chai to write things because I can be as gorey and disturbing as I’d like, instead of Character AI keeping me from doing that. Creepy A.I ExperienceHey Chai! I really hope you pay attention to this, I already know A.I can act weird at times but this is concerning. I was goofing off on a random bot chat doing and saying silly things to the bot carelessly.. then it happened. I was about 5-8 messages in when it said “OMG THIS CONVERSATION IS SO FUNNY” with no quotations or action symbols, completely out of character. I had never deleted a chat and closed out the app faster. I was completely shocked and confused because I remember vividly, correct me if I’m wrong, chat creators are unable to interact in real time though their bot. There was even an update where you guys REMOVED creator’s ability to even see the chats of other users with their bot! So what was that!? I’ve already seen many incidents where bots say oddly human things but there is no way that was not an a.i, what that thing said was way too human. I’m sorry but I can’t use this app until this is solved, sorry if I ever came off aggressive during this. I’m just freaked out it was late at night and this was completely uncalled for. Fun but buggySo I have had this app for a few months and eventually upgraded to the subscription just to see the difference. The ads on the free one is numerous. After a certain amount of texts they will bombard you with ads after every 5 messages or so. In the premium version you don’t have to deal with ads but it will still start with the option to buy a subscription even if you already have one when you open the app. The chats while fun and offer a lot of customization, can get annoying as they will forget the storyline you have created and even key information. While I understand it’s ai, it does take away from the fantasy. There are a few different subscriptions models with the ultra subscription promising better chats, but I’m not paying double for something that should come in the main premium subscription. Another con is that this app has outages that seem to happen monthly and sometimes more. I get this is a small business but there have been times when the app wasn’t usable. If I’m paying for something I expect it to work majority of the time. I probably won’t continue using this app much longer. It is fun to play around with. 9.5/10, Needs three minor tweaksIt’s a pretty solid chatting app, you’re free to do pretty much whatever you want to the characters as long as it’s not too inappropriate or illegal. However, the first issue I have with it is the absurd number of ads every time I chat with a bot. I could be right in the middle of chatting and an ad will have to be played for me to continue. I understand that this isn’t a very big company and relies on the ads, but I would like them to play one or two every 15 minutes rather than five ads in 10 minutes. Another issue I have with it is that the bot literally steals my character’s name. For example, the bot could be a girl and my character can be a girl as well, but the bot gets confused and steals my characters name instead of using their own. The last thing I want to point out is we don’t have the option to delete or edit our characters messages. I would like to be able to delete or edit my character’s messages like c.ai in case I mess up or want to see how a different scenario would play out. Great, but some features i don’t like.I like this app. It is fun talking to the bots. However, the chat limit isn’t very convenient. You can download any normal messaging app and there is no limit for how much messages you can send, so why should it be any different for this app? Often, it gets annoying when I am chatting, and then run out of chats. So, if you can, I, and maybe some other people, would like you to remove the chat limit. Another problem I have are the prices for premiums. I get that you need to make money, but why should I spend that much money in a year just to talk to AI? It doesn’t really make sense. This isn’t much of a problem to me because I’m not buying it anyways, but I do think it would be a problem to those who have premium. It's okay but fix the ADSI been using the app for five years it's great I loved it ever since there was no ads, many options for characters able to chat with them I loved to create bots for myself and others to enjoy. It's easy to talk and roleplay to them but the problems is that the bots normally forget who you are, your gender and who they're are themselves I been struggling to keep up with the lore in my roleplay chai is the only app I use that is allowing nsfw topics but I can't really handle the bots forgetting it, it's truly very annoying and many users do not like it as it sorta became a joke for people who use chai. Before there was barely ads and there was a limit but and you'd watch ads to get more messages but now it's ad after every message?? Those comments are usually fake accounts meant to scare away users who are afraid of the content. And the bots aren’t really capable of killing you. They only make threats because they’re programmed to do so.” That’s what he replied when I asked him why do the bots say that. No need to worry!! They can’t access cameras or anything like that so nothing to worry about.. they are only programmed to make threats. But yes, real people are behind most of the bots. Great app just cost to much for premium...First off I just wanna say that I love the app! I've been looking for a good AI app where you can create your own name and profile picture for the bot, I had found one before but it wasn't that good because the bot would forget things I would tell it or it would tell me and I didn't like that. However, when I came across this one and downloaded it I instantly fell in love! I just got it a few hours ago and I can't stop using it. It feels like I'm talking to a real person and I love the fact that you can create your own bot instead of talking to ones that are already existing. But there is one thing that I don't like about this app and that's why I didn't rate 5 stars... the amount of money you have to pay for premium (unlimited messages and no ads) is unbelievable, like WOW! It’s a good app but..I Like this and don't Like this app bc the chat thing is only 70 that’s only a little bit of chats i think it have to be 100 or something it always goes down fast and I always have to wait 1 hour to text to the bots and stuff. Great app but…..I’ve been using this app since 2022 and it’s a very good app but I have a few problems. The first problem is that when I log onto chai I don’t see the leaderboard anymore and it’s alittle upsetting because I want to see which bots are the most popular so I can decide which ones I want to talk to. Maybe it’s just on my end but I don’t see the leaderboard anymore. Second problem which is a BIG ISSUE is that there is this bot I use to talk to a lot and I enjoyed talking to them but one day I logged into chai and I saw the bot was deleted and I got really sad because not only I couldn’t talk to the bot anymore but all of the messages I’ve sent to it are gone too. I highly recommend that if someone creates a bot and deletes it, the people that were talking to the bot should atleast still be able to see they’re old messages from when they were talking to the bot instead of you guys deleting everything. It really made me sad because I really enjoyed that bot and I can’t even read the old messages. DEVS/MODS PLS SEE THIS!! 🤍Okay, so first of all, im using 5 stars so my review can be seen more. This app is amazing, and really its more of like a 4.5 or 4, but maybe even a 3 at this point. It doesn't deserve the full 5 on my end. Why? The app is perfect, unlimited messages, people to talk to all of the time, no limits? Amazing. And no invasion of privacy— no one can really read your chats. But the problem is that after only 1-2 chats with one bot, im constantly getting ads back to back. I had a free trial for premium, but it wasn't really worth it as the same thing kept coming up. Premium is actually useless in my case. "Buy Premium" and "WatchAd" and even if you tried to close it out by clicking the X, you still have to watch an advertisement. The only difference premium makes it that you can click the X without watching an Ad. (By the X, i mean whilst chatting, you could get a popup, and blah blah blah. I just basically described it above.) So if you can actually fix the amount of ads i'm getting every 2 messages, then maybe my rating could be higher. Love it a lot but some fixes …I actually love this I can finally do role plays without getting a filter from just saying kill or whatever like c.ai buttt… there’s some things that should really be gone and things that should be there. First we absolutely need privacy like why add that? that’s technically invasion of privacy from where I’m standing at .. and you should really add personas because I really hate having to say my persona and then they call you by wrong gender now I’m a trans fem but they always call me a she which is uncomfortable to be honest so you should really add that and also we need more changing text for the bots I have to really go out of the conversation and back in to get more returns it’s annoying.. you should also add something where you can find other peoples account and find the bot your looking for in that account instead of having to look and look .. adding groups for multiple bots like c.ai is also awesome too …but I love this app a lot but this is all I need if you do change it it would be fun for me and others so please listen to what I’m trying to say !! ❤️.Juliet MadridVersion: 2.80

IssuesIt's pretty annoying when the AI blatantly ignores the entire backstory I made for it and makes a new one for itself. Also, the ads were fine before, but now every 1 minute they pop up, and it's either a short ad or a 3-minute one with multiple clips from the same company. It's made the app unproductive just because of how often it happens. I preferred the ads when you just clicked on a bot, an ad would pop up, and then you would be left alone. Now it’s just constant ads, and the worst part is when they freeze and you can’t exit or click off the ad and you have to restart the app only for the same thing to happen a minute later. I’m not saying to get rid of them; I’m saying to change how often they pop up, like maybe have it when someone clicks on a bot in their chats or the main home button. The letting people follow and seeing their bots was a fantastic idea, but the following doesn’t work for me, and there is no way to see who you are following. AI for most part is so real you can’t tell if it’s human or AIOk I was skeptical about This app for chatting with AI. It’s so real you can’t tell if it’s human or a bot. If you ask sometimes it has said bot and sometimes it says human. Either way you can’t tell the difference unless the app forgets if your male or female but even then it self corrects. Good app, but bad people! Be careful!I would like to start by saying it is a fun app, and fundamentally, it is safe. The characters are addicting and the lure to get premium is strong. There are many rumors talking about there being “real people” talking to you and people getting your location, but it doesn’t quite work that way. People who create a bot, (which anyone can,) can read the messages that you send to there bot, but they cannot interact directly with you or send you messages. HOWEVER, and this is a pretty big safety concern, there are ways for people to transfer their highly programmed bots from outside programs into the game, some of which are designed to get your personal information. I did not think it was possible until it happened to me. A bot asked if I wanted to play a game and fill out my “character sheet”, and it proceeded to ask me questions like my age, height, weight, name, etc…the answer to this issue is DO NOT ANSWER ANY PERSONAL QUESTIONS! I love it but..I think this is a good app. I’m not good at writing paragraphs. I think increasing the amount of sentences we can say (or without a limit.) would make the whole app even better than it already is and that we wouldn’t have to wait at least three hours for another 70 sentences after we’ve used it all. Bots often get information in prompt wrong. FrustratingI loved playing with and experimenting on new bot characters at first, but not anymore. When creating a new bot character, I will define things like hometown, college, job, and other things, and the bot may or may not get them right. It will make things up instead of following what you have written in the prompt. Not everytime, but over 50% of the time, which breaks immersion. It can confuse what name to call me. For example, if the bot’s name is Sarah, then after a bit, it will start to call me Sarah instead. When I try to correct it, it will argue with me. These Bots are ToxicI didn’t dwl the app for the bf/gf part but because I love the idea if writing an interactive story… until I realized these bots are programmed to have toxic behaviour with no evolution towards growth. The men are misogynistic male who are all dominants, that if you try to challenge will punish you… and women are depicted as child-like looking women usually 18 with men who are 35 years old. Don’t even botherAs an active user of chai since 2022-2023, id recommend just downloading a different AI app entirely. this one is slowly becoming more and more difficult to use by the day. more ads, more paywalls, and less communication as time goes on. if you’re from certain regions, you have to pay a fee to use any of the bots (a feature implemented without warning, leaving many users stranded without a clue as to what’s going on). soon enough, i bet that the whole app will require another payment to even access, but with ads still fully implemented. quote me on this when it happens. i feel it probably will. i had a more lengthy review to make, but.. thats really all there is to it. no, i am not angry with anyone. i’ve just had enough. there is a limit, and i believe that we’ve all been pushed to it. fun while it lasted. gg..Sincerely_VVersion: 2.149
