Best book app to buy or sell on!!!I have been using Pango for about 2 years now and they are hands down the best overall site on the internet to buy and/or sell books at. They have a great broad selection with many hard to find titles. You are buying from regular people just like us and none of the large conglomerate dishonest book companies. That means you can actually ask questions about specific books and get direct quick responses, you can see photos of the actual books you are purchasing instead of just a stock photo with a description that says “acceptable” or “good”, you can find prices many times much lower than elsewhere because most sellers are simply clearing out clutter or trying to fund their own personal book collections, you can find many knowledgeable sellers who have been collectors for years, the shipping fees are rock bottom including combined shipping costs and Pango provides top notch respectful and understanding customer service to buyers and sellers right away. Such great prices!I’ve had this app for about a week and I’m loving it so far! I’ve found some books for super cheap in great condition. I also think that this app is cool because I’ve been finding books that I’ve never heard about before. I will say that most of the selection is older books but there are some people selling the newer popular books too! I just think that the prices are great, especially shipping! I also sell on this app and think it’s pretty easy to navigate through and it’s nice to get a little something for books I don’t read anymore. Since it is a new app, there are always ways for it to improve and here are a few. When you wishlist books, it doesn’t add them right away in the shop portion of the app. I think you have to exit the app and swipe up to restart the app for it to show up or it just shows up whenever. I’ve also found myself accidentally deleting my listing for selling so I think automatic saved drafts of listings you want to sell would be a good idea. Finally, after you look at a certain thread and want to go back to the thread homepage, it takes you back to the top/all the way to the beginning, not where you were before. This makes it so you have to scroll all the way to where you left off or miss threads that people posted. An amazing platform for book lovers & collectorsI’ve been a seller on Pango for 3 years now. When I first started I was making sales left and right but over the years the app has become extremely popular and with that popularity comes an over-saturation of books. This is not a complaint; I’m pleased to see the app doing so well and the creators have done a wonderful job of upgrading and tweaking the interface for the best experience. If I had to share one complaint it would be that I wish there was a way for more shops to be highlighted and that there was a way for your books to show up on users feeds without having to add new books or change the prices. After a while you’ve listed all the books and the prices are as low as they can go. At that point the only way anyone finds you is if they search a title in particular that you happen to have. That being said there a lot of shops highlighted on the platform under different categories and I wish I knew how these shops were chosen because after 3 years of selling books and making hundred’s of sales I feel my shop has earned its place and I wish it was one of the ones recommended to users. I would also like to see smaller/newer shops highlighted more. I don’t exactly know what the answer is but I hope in the future there are more opportunities for my shop and others to be suggested and/or recommended to users. I’d like to finish my review by saying that I love this app and I’m grateful it exists. Obsessed!I’m in love with this app— so much that I had to come to the App Store to review it! I’ve had it for about two weeks and I’ve sold about 18 books already. I absolutely love how easy and convenient it is so make listings. I had never sold anything online, but when I went to the “desktop version,” everything that I needed to know was answered on the FAQ section. You also get an e-mail with instructions along with the shipping label, so that gives you a sense of security in case you’ve never sold online before. It does take about 3 days after the buyer receives the package for you to have access to your earnings, which is not so terrible. I also appreciate how platform fee is not obscene— it is 20% of all book sales margin. I think it’s a fair fee considering that you’re being insured and they handle part of the logistics for you. Also, customer service is super quick to respond— I heard back from them the following day after my inquiry. There are a few things I would probably still work on regarding the app. Sometimes when I’m listing a book and I’ve included the details such as classification, I’ve noticed that if I go to the next book detail like genre, the previous selection about the classification didn’t save. It is a bit frustrating to go back and re-select it, but not that huge of a deal. I also wish we could edit the listening through our desktop and not just the phone app— but again, not that big of a deal. Perfect in every wayI’m writing this review as both a bookseller and buyer on Pango. First as a bookseller, Pango is top of the line and makes it so easy to sell your books. Once you scan the barcode and enter the condition of your book, Pango can show you all other copies of that book currently on the app and how much they’re being sold for. They can even show you the last time a copy of that book was sold! They recommend prices for you to sell and make sure to promote you if your book is a good deal. When it comes time to ship, they don’t make you pay for a shipping label - they just automatically generate it. If you don’t have a printer yourself, you can get a barcode for the shipping label that they will scan and print at the post office. They do have platform fees on Pango, but they’re only taken out of your earnings, so they’ll never charge your bank. As a buyer, Pango makes it soooo easy. If you’re looking for multiple books, you can see if the same seller is selling both, that way you’re not paying shipping on two different shops. The two times I’ve bought books on Pango I received them within the same week, and I try to do the same when I’m selling. New and ConfusedHi there. I’m new to this app and have been searching here and there and while I’d love to give this a chance as I read constantly, the app itself is giving me pause. First off, the app looks quite dated. Faded out pics across the board. Thought it was just a few sellers like on eBay, but no, all pics look old and dark and I’m finding it hard to see the actual condition of the books offered. I find that to be unfair to the sellers. I also hate the fact there is no landscape mode for iPad. I never understand why in 2025, there are still apps that don’t accommodate both portrait and landscape mode. However, I think my biggest issue is the “help” section. I have had to look up a few things, again, new user, have never bought, so wanted to check a thing or two before I added anything to my cart. But instead of finding help, I find the same questions over and over. I have been trying to ask some simple questions but still can’t find answers and I think they deserve to be in the FAQs. Can I buy from multiple sellers at once? If I do, does the shipping cost double? Triple? Or do I have to do separate orders, one from each seller? Having flashbacks to the way Mercari used to look when it started. No real information just a late 90’s feel. I’m not trying to negative here, this is just first impressions of a potential customer. Simple Yet Effective!!I have both bought and sold books on PangoBooks and have been very satisfied! As a buyer, the UI is super easy to understand and find books. Every order is shipped within 3 days, and includes a tracking number. I have one package delayed by usps, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that PangoBooks emailed me as soon as it was delayed to explain the next steps. They are a very attentive team to their members. As a seller, it’s just as easy. I’ve sold multiple books already, and I love how PangoBooks deals with the shipping so that all I have to do is stick the label on the package and drop it off! The fees are 20% of your listing price, which I think is a decent amount for how streamlined the app is. My only suggestion for the developers involves the pending PangoBucks. Currently, PangoBooks holds on to your earnings until 3 days after delivery in order to give the buyer time to file any disputes (which I think is great). I think that if the buyer writes a review for the seller, it should release the funds early. I’ve had buyers leave extremely positive and pleased reviews (that even reference the condition of the book), but I’ve still had to wait for my money until after the dispute period..FinchgreyVersion: 2.4.35

So glad I found this appMy new favorite place to buy and sell books! I downloaded this app a few days ago hoping to get rid of some books that were taking up space and I’ve already sold a few of them! The process of selling is super easy and I love that you are able to scan the books for most of the information during the listing process. I also appreciate having the option to use the money you make within the app or cash out as it makes it super easy to purchase and sell using funds already in your account. Now, while I love the app, I do wish it were better categorized especially when it comes to searching for books of a certain genre (we do have the ‘browse hashtags’ option but I usually have to scroll to find it). Maybe add a list of genres (and subgenres) when you go in to search that you can click on and be taken to a list of books automatically. For me, these would be super helpful as a drop-down within the search bar rather than having to search in order to get to the filter button. I don’t often use the my listings in the search bar (as it’s already in my ‘account’)so maybe it could be replaced with a genre list. I would also like to see the ‘Account’ page simplified as there is a lot going on with it. Maybe you could combine some of the options together like Listings and Reviews and Ratings, or my sold Books and Earnings. Great but needs some workThere are so many selections on the app and the community is just fantastic as they are also avid readers who understand your love for books. It’s also extremely easy to post books you want to sell though, it is a bit more difficult to be able to get that book to sell. The main reason being there are more sellers than there are buyers on the app currently. A lot of the people on the app are ones trying to get rid of books but they also buy from other sellers while there are only very few people who sign up to actually buy books. I actually feel the prices are very reasonable especially the shipping (compared to apps like Mercari). As a buyer and seller I really wished that I could split my earnings on different books unfortunately, the app only lets you use all your savings on the whole purchase when I just want to use some and save some money for a different purchase. Another thing is unfortunately if a buyer reviews their purchase you still have to wait three days til you get your earnings. Tried this app out with skepticism, but wasn’t disappointedI learned about this app through a Facebook add and decided to try it out of curiosity. Given the relatively low user base and the questionable nature of most FB adds, I was a bit skeptical and fully prepared to be scammed. I purchased a copy of Milton’s “Paradise Lost” for $1 (plus ~$4 of taxes and shipping), and was pleasantly surprised when the book arrived at my doorstep in fantastic condition. Obviously, not all buying experiences will go exactly as this one did, but I have confidence to buy from this app again after that transaction. Technically, the app could use a few tweaks here and there to make the service a little more seamless. For instance, finding your purchases and accessing a tracking number takes some searching, even after I had done it a few times. Placing that option a little more prominently on the hot bar could help. The forums are a great idea, but clicking off of them resets you to the top of the page, making scrolling to read more than the first few posts a bit frustrating. Great for cheap used booksReally great community for book readers who want to sell their used books. Super reasonable pricing if you know where to look. Only rating 3 stars due to some bugs browsing on the app. Sometimes when you scroll it gets stuck in the same place and rubber bands. Happens everytime I browse any genre in the “What’s new in [genre]” tab. Update: I’m pretty sure the bug occurs because unlike the website, the app has no pages when browsing and updates LIVE on new books for sale. I think if they removed that function or just introduce pages similar to the website the bug will go away. Also it’s a bit annoying that when you search ‘Fantasy’ it also includes all ‘Romantasy’ books. There is NO option to exclude these in your search so you’re forced to go through pages and pages of Romantasy slop. I really really really wish you could exclude Romance to make the search engine better. More annoying that every scroll/page of the Fantasy section has 4-5 copies of Fourth Wing/ACOTAR/and the flavor of the month YA Romance when you are just trying to see new Fantasy. Great App but seller rating and shipping needs to betterI really love this app to purchase books as I prefer to buy used for cost purposes. Shipping cost can be a little steep in my opinion. It adds up when your trying to purchase from multiple sellers and doesn’t make it a good deal anymore. Because of that I often find a seller who I can bundle books with or who offer a deal like a percentage off or free shipping. Rating a seller should also be allowed if an order is not fulfilled. For example, I purchased from a seller who then took over a week to acknowledge my order after I reached out. I was told it would be shipped next day. 10 more days go by I reach out again with no response and then find the seller has put their account on vacation. I have no way to flag this issue as a potential fraudulent account or rate them so others know this person is a poor seller. This seller had 4 rarer books listed which makes me wonder if they were just a fraudulent account. Buy, Sell, and Dream!I found this app about 6 months ago and it is one of my favorites when it comes to books! 1) Buy… you can browse and buy books from all over and in all sorts of conditions. I have purchased several and been blown away by the quick shipping and friendly members! And I love helping out my fellow book readers! 2) Sell… It took a little while to get on board with selling, only because I wasn’t sure what to expect. But after trying book buyback options on other apps, I concluded that this one is an amazing arrangement. The seller can take photos, add information, and set their own price on the app. They can even set up sales! The shipping is paid for by the buyer and a shipping label is provided by PangoBooks. Easy Peasy! 3) Dream… Outside of the normal books are dreams concept… you can make “selves” of books to track TBR dreams or watch books for sale to see if the seller has any sales pop up. Great way to buy and sell books!I’ve been using Pango Books for about a year now, and absolutely love it. The app is really easy to use. I’ve bought books from other sellers but have also started my own shop there to sell books which is really fun. The thing I love is that you see actual photos of the books that you’re buying so you can see exactly what edition it is and what condition it’s in. As a seller you can show multiple photos of a book you’re selling so you can show people exactly what they’re getting. And Pango handles all the details of figuring out the mailing and the money - all I have to do when I sell a book is print off the label and package it up and take it to the post office. They do take a portion of the sales price but it’s worth it because I would never be able to sell this much on my own without the app. It’s like a giant used bookstore that you can browse in but it has books from thousands of different sellers across the country so you never know what you might find..Amy CollardVersion: 2.5.77

Calling all book lovers!This app is my newest obsession. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences so far. There’s a great little community of people and I’ve discovered books I’ve never heard of before. It’s not as overly saturated as eBay so it feels like your books have a better chance of selling here. I’ve made a few sales already, had a great experience with a kind seller, and the PangoBooks team helped me sort out a partial refund on a bundle I goofed up on as a seller. My favorite feature has got to be the Twitter-like section. You can let people know you’re running a sale, leave reviews on books, and can put up an ISO of a book you’re looking for! I’ve discovered several new shops from this! Besides some little things that could be added to the app, like refreshing the page and leaving a review for buyers, this app is terrific. Excellent appI have a huge book collection and have started selling them through the PangoBooks app. It gets you a little more for your books though parting is such sweet sorrow. I can’t take them with me and like to see them go to a good home and not chucked out in a yard sale after I am gone. The app is for person to person sales and it has the advantages of putting you in contact with like minded book lovers. I always include a card and a bookmark with my sales. There’s nothing like receiving a book in the mail especially with a little something extra. Easily the best way to sell your books online but needs a wider audience. It’s intuitive and easy to use. You get a fair price for your books rather than cents on the dollar. Photos matter, and the app makes that easy. Buyers seem genuinely engaged—people who read descriptions, ask smart questions, and actually care about condition and editions. That alone sets Pango apart. As a buyer, the experience is just as strong. Great app for book buyers!I have been so delighted with my experience buying books on this app! In recent years the price of used books has skyrocketed, and Pango is the first place in a long while where I have actually found really great deals! I have also had a great experience with all of the sellers. Most of them have been super friendly and swift shippers, and all of them have shipped me great books! My one big gripe and the reason for only 4 stores is the deep frustration I feel every time I leave a review for the seller. The text box where you are meant to type up your review is covered over by the popup keyboard on your iPhone—making it impossible to see what you are typing. I’ve tried to get around this by typing up a review in the notes app to cut and paste but I’m unable to paste it into the app. It’s super frustrating trying to type a message that you can’t see. SO glad I found this app!I have been using the PangoBooks app for over 2 years now and I can say that it is the best book-buying/selling app around! It is easy to navigate and every customer service member has been understanding, courteous, and helpful. Bonus: you can post and read other’s reviews and there are opportunities to interact with other users if you’re looking for a certain book or just chat books in general. I personally use the app to build up and occasionally downsize my personal library and then buy more! Love the app, some minor improvementsI’ve been using PangoBooks for awhile now. It’s easy to list books for sale, and it’s easy to control sales and discounts. However, as a seller, even with all notifications turned on, there’s no badge notifications on the iPhone. For example, if I sell a book, I’ll get a notification in the Notification Center on my Lock Screen and via email, but the app does not show a number for notifications. As a buyer, that exact issue is what happened to a seller who I purchased from but cancelled my order after waiting 7 business days, and sent 2-3 messages to the seller. After the cancellation, about 2 days later, the seller responded apologizing siting they had not received notifications of a sale or messages until they checked their inbox. Great app overallI’ve been using this app for about 6 months now and overall I really love it. It’s really easy to search for and purchase books and I’ve had really great experiences with almost all of my purchases. The one thing I don’t really like is that the app seems glitchy when loading my wishlist. I have an extensive wishlist (a few hundred books long at least) and whenever I try to scroll through it to clear out the books that have been sold so that I can whittle it down, it will show me my few most recent adds and then will rapidly flicker up some books are on my wish list while not actually letting them load and eventually only pulling up some of my oldest wishlist books. I was looking for a pretty rare obscure book, and found a listing on here. I went to the sellers profile and easily ordered cheaper copies of books i have been wanting. (I spent $60, after shipping and taxes, on 4 used books in excellent, like new condition. not a bad deal to me!) they arrived quickly and perfectly (the seller needs to ship in 3 days) and my package came with an adorable personalized note! Best Online Book Site for sellers and buyersI’m an avid reader and often find myself needing to unhaul books that I’ve already read but maybe didn’t enjoy a bunch or books I just think others would enjoy more. I love to list tries books on there and then use the money to buy more books for me to read. I don’t have a large social media following anywhere but have sold more than half of the books I 1st listed in around 1 month which I think is fairly good for no marketing. The support team is great as well always answering all of my questions timely and nicely. The books from other sellers are almost always listed accurately and if they are not even you receive them support is more than willing to help you out. Better than the rest!I am an avid EBay and Poshmark seller, yet always struggled to sell books on those platforms due to the limitations of their descriptors/variety of other listings. I also always hated to donate books or sell to Half-Price Books (or others) because I was only making cents back on books I paid good money for. PangoBooks was the solution I was looking for! It’s really easy to list items. I particularly enjoy the option to scan the barcode and have PangoBooks fill in details about the book you’re listing. Great new selling app! For BOOKS! 🤩I love books, and I love selling books on other selling apps, so I figured PangoBooks was right for me! I was right, and it’s such a refreshing take on a selling app. The community of sellers seems fairly nice as well, it feels like a space for people who truly love books to share that love. I will say the app doesn’t look as clean as others. Some issues that I have (that aren’t really issues, just things I’d like to see renovated) are: - the way pictures are uploaded to listings. I’d like to add multiple at the same time - the feed/shop dynamic seems too clunky, and it kinda overwhelms you. - the feeds/shop reload even when you don’t want too. It just gets annoying after a while when you’re just scrolling to see what’s out there. - the ability to add more “bookish” things- like stuff/merch that comes with book subscription boxes? I know these have a decent reselling market on other apps, it would be cool to add that to this app. But that would mean adding another option besides media mail. But what I REALLY like is the shipping aspect. I love how it’s immediately media mail, and you can print labels from the app. I also like how if you do free shipping as a seller, it’s taken out of your earnings, so you don’t have to take it out of your own (in real life) pocket to buy a label. Easy place to sellI was looking for a new place to sell and buy books and a friend suggested this app to me. Love how easy it is to use and they provide shipping labels so you can package easily and quickly. Makes buying books easy too with your information ready to go when you want to buy. Only issue I have is getting funds transferred to my bank and the service fee. For each purchase they take 20% of purchase price which cuts in a lot, so be sure to price accordingly. And while I understand waiting for buyers to receive package before depositing funds, the transfer to bank option has been broken for months. So I have to wait weeks to have access to my money then can’t even transfer to bank and have to use PayPal and pay more fees to get my money. Not a big deal, but can be annoying at times. Overall, I like itI use the app for about 2 years now, maybe just a bit less. It is convenient, a good way to purchase pre-loved books in great condition (unlike other used books services, here you see real pictures of a book you buy). Things I care about: • users’ support is great, though sometimes with a bit of a delay, but they always deliver good solutions; • hashtags to filter books from all the Pango books; • tags (e.g. “special edition”, “signed”, “odor”, etc) on book’s page to give a buyer more info on the item; •special offers from the sellers (it is easier and quicker to sell some items this way - of course, for less profit, and also to strike a better deal as a buyer); • in general, easy to use when selling, part of the info is pulled automatically from the barcode, and the rest is really quick to fill in. Things and features I do not care about: • !NEW FONT! It is harder to read, please change it back! • reviews (the books I am interested in are usually without any reviews, and anyway, there are apps for that too); • AI helper - Pangolin. It is cute, yep, but it’s suggestions never land for me; also I don’t need AI everywhere; • suggested shelves, bookstores and recommendations, mostly off of what I read, and the recommendations are too general, e.g. Normal People or A Man Called Ove in Fiction category. it sounds like “you’ve never read a book? It is difficult to get interaction for your own books after the first few hours as the app works like a social media platform. PangobooksI’ve been using the PangoBooks app to sell and buy books for two years. It has worked very well for me especially as a platform to sell my books. They have continued over the two years I’ve been using the app to make improvements to make it easier to list and find books. They are also very quick to respond to any issues I’ve had in the past and in getting them resolved. It is a very user friendly app and I recommend it for anyone looking to buy or sell books on the internet. I really like the idea of simply putting your book in a padded envelope, printing the shipping label and dropping it off at the post office and getting paid. As a buyer, I can find great deals on books, shipping cost is low since they use media mail and theres no extra fees like other apps have. Two big flaws as of 2023Love Pango. Love both selling and buying books on there. The app has come a long way with the latest updates, still little things here and there that could be better, but to me the biggest annoyance is truly the release of your money, once you’ve sold a book. - it should be just like Poshmark: once it’s delivered, buyer has 3 days to look it over and accept; if they don’t accept, money is released automatically. Great app! Few minor issues.Overall I love this app. It’s very easy to use and navigate. Listing books only takes a few seconds, which is a nice contrast to some other platforms out there. Linking your PayPal or bank account is also simple. There are a few technical issues that can be frustrating. Sometimes buttons don’t work, and occasionally when I’m filling out information on the book I’m listing, the text will disappear and I’ll have to start over. These are minor inconveniences that I’m sure will be worked out over time. I also wish there was a way to see and edit your followers/following list or the lists of other users. Great app great pricesReally enjoy using this app to find books on my TBR! A couple suggestions from the user experience perspective. Allow me to search for multiple books at once. Perhaps have a ISO list we can add in the app and then show us relevant book sellers that have multiple of those books. If I select a book show me all the different options of other books that I could buy with it rather than limiting me to just that seller. Have more filtering options after clicking on a hashtag eg by super fast seller. Have tags on the book pictures that can be added for popular book clubs eg Reese’s book club or botm rather than just having the hashtag. A great sustainable choice for the avid readerWhile I still like ebooks, there’s nothing like reading from a physical copy. I personally prefer buying secondhand but I can never get the recent releases that way. I love that I can get both recent and classics on the marketplace. Budget BooksI’ve been on this app for about a year as both a purchaser and a seller and I have been loving my experience. The books are reasonably priced and good quality. They also have a great selection of special editions. They recently introduced “shelves” which take a bit to load but are a nice way to organize your wish lists. I’ve never had a bad experience with a seller and the way the selling system is structured makes it difficult for people to rip you off. As a seller my experience has also been nothing but positive. Selling is easy to set up. The pricing system giving suggestions minimizes research on what to price things based off of condition. The market of interest on the app is less of any book per topic but more of a popularity contest. More obscure books or older books take months to sell. For super popular books, the market is over run with 100+ copies. But if you don’t have a time limit and your books are well priced, this is a great selling platform. FrustratedI love this app & and the customer service is amazing! They have been making a lot of updates to the apps layout. While all the changes to the app look nice they make it so now you have to go in a roundabout way to get anywhere in it. VERY FRUSTRATING. Love the Pango app!I’m all about saving money and buying second hand, and this app helps me do that! I’ve purchased from 5 different sellers so far and had a great experience with each one! I’m usually able to get my wishlist books for half the price (or less!) than brand new, and all books I’ve selected have been in great condition. Game changerI absolutely love this app. I own hundreds of books and sometimes in order to make room for new books I have to get rid of other books. I’ve seen BST groups on Facebook but I never knew how much I should charge for shipping, and on the occasions where I wanted to purchase, I didn’t feel comfortable just sending money to a stranger and hoping that they’d sent me what I paid for. The new side swiping feature has ruined shopping on the pango appEver since the devs included a side-swiping feature to return to the home page, I’ve accidentally side swiped when I meant to scroll up or down so many times that it deterred me from using the app entirely out of sheer frustration. What once was a smooth and intuitive browsing and shopping experience has now become an infuriatingly painstaking experience. You have to perfectly scroll up or down now to pursue otherwise you’ll swipe back to the home page and be forced to start all over again from the beginning! Whenever I use your app now I can see the page swaying as I try to scroll making shopping feel like I’m slowly trying to cross a rickety makeshift bridge that swings from side to side over a chasm like Indiana Jones, scroll imperfectly and I’m dumped back to the home page. Please ditch the side swiping feature, or at least give us the option to turn it off. If you’re really concerned with people returning home quickly then add a home button at the top of the screen at all times. The swiping feature is making your app unusable. Also: please bring back the listing thumbnail of the related book in the messages. I’m getting messages from sellers and now I can’t quickly glance up at the thumbnail for quick reference to see which book their message belongs to.
