Need better screeningI really enjoy Stir, love the kind of people that are on here. Membership is a bit pricey, for me smoking is an absolute dealbreaker, so I don’t know why I cannot screen out profiles for things like that. They need to improve the users control over what they see. I spent several minutes reading and looking at pictures and then realize I missed the smoking thing again. Similar options should exist for drinking 420 etc. And the parenting questions are confusing personally people, I see profiles with ladies in their late 40s saying they definitely want more kids. They way they ask you the questions and the options they give you are confusing and then what they say to other people your answer is not worded at all like what you selected. Needs work there as well. Overall I like the app, enough that I got the membership even at this price, but 4 stars because of too much time looking at people I am not at all interested in, not really being able to trust what is says about whether someone wants kids (as in do they want to meet someone who has kids, do they want to adopt with someone, or do they want to give birth to children) I mean, the central theme in this app is we are people who have kids so how is it that did not get done more carefully? Love some of the people I am seeing on here, they just seem more real and human than other dating apps..Version: 23.03.00

It’s missing vital infoHi, I have been using this app and the interface is nice. It’s very close to match which I found easy to use. I feel as a single parent it’s missing some vital info. 1. You need to be able to put your religion. For most people with children that’s important to find someone with similar values and beliefs. 2. The ability to filter your preferences by religion and race. I myself am an equal opportunity employer but, not everyone is. 3. You should also be able to put your political beliefs. 4. You should be able to list how many kids you have and their ages. 5. Level of Education should also be included in the profile. Not sure if that needs to be in the filter option , but, race, religion, and political views should be. I’m surprised this app doesn’t inclue these things when Match does. Single Parents are way more picky about that stuff. We aren’t only searching for a potential partner for ourselves but a partner that will be a good example to our kids as well..Version: 22.05.00

Works like them all but profile’s are…This app functions basically like Tinder, but what’s odd is it the women on here don’t seem to take good pictures or they don’t care about what they look like. I don’t get it if you’re trying to get back into the dating world you want to put your best foot forward wear make up take full body pictures and have pictures of activities that you like to do.. marketing yourself isn’t rocket science. Trying to look your best online isn’t difficult. Spend 100 bucks. Go learn how to put make up on go do an activity you like to do have someone like a friend take pictures of you..Version: 23.10.00

Price doesn’t match the app qualityFirst of all, great idea. You can brows for free and even match and chat. For the other features you have to pay a hefty price for such a simple app. Day one already matched with some cool people and have been chatting it up, all good stuff there. The users seem real. What I don't like is again the price. Also why is there a daily limit on how many people you can see? That is the dumbest “feature ever” even paying the premium, it’s still there. On to of that, the app glitches and keeps showing me the same people over and over making it so that I see even less posible matches. It’s so frustrating. Lat thing that bugs me is that when you are looking at a profile, at the bottom it has similar matches. When you click those, you cant message or like them. So lame! Please fix the app! Also there is no real algorithm for matching other than age, location, and basic preferences. I would be happy to keep paying if all of these were fixed..Version: 22.08.01

IPhone SE screen sizing offDon’t come at me to update to a newer phone. I will switch it out when I want to, not because there are newer ones out there. This one serves its purpose for now. Now to my issue that the iPhone SE 3rd edition that’s still fairly common and still being sold doesn’t have the ability to zoom out or six app to match the available screen siz. That leaves me sometimes having too and or bottom part of screen cropped out and can make it harder to navigate. Ie. back or close buttons and other commands not displayed and won’t let me scroll enough to see or use them. Sometimes the needed controls are partially to completely covered by the keyboard and won’t retract to allow needed navigation. I leave it to the tech gurus to decide if and when they will address the app recognizing this model phone or just standardize to newest iPhone..Version: 25.02.00

Nothing has been changedGoing off another review from 1 year past and comparing with my current experience of this app it’s clear nothing has changed. Too much time wasted sifting though profiles with major turn offs and deal breakers such as smoking and religions that do not align with my personal preferences. And no man actually “reads” a females profile, so without the app having proper filters in place it’s just a mess from the get go. This is why I never bothered fully signing up and paying premium or whatever, there is simply no point if I’m the one doing all the work and X out the “no goes” in hopes to finding a genuine connection. Tonight I got a flood of daily smokers in my matches and it’s just infuriating. Another issue I come across was about child/children. I have a young child at home living full time with me. My preference was also “parent with child”. But I got many matches where the children were now teens or older and moved out. Or the child/children lived elsewhere or with other parent full time. Some of the “dads” were wanting travel / adventure buddies, hiking and camping, road trips, explore other countries etc. Which is fantastic for them but a no go for me and my situation. There was not a way to set status for my matches either, so many were just “separated” and looking for a relationship… so not legally divorced and not something I would want to get involved in. But again it was up to me to weed out the profiles that did not align with my preferences. So tonight I deleted my profile because I’m left feeling overwhelmed and set up to fail. I feel sorry for the members that paid to use this app, nothing short of a rip off I’m certain. As busy parents, no one has the time nor the energy, this platform needs a complete makeover..Version: 24.04.00

It’s ok, I just expected moreThe basic use of the app is ok, I like the concept as a solo parent. However, I do not understand why you can’t call or video chat in the app. In order to move past texting I have to give someone my personal information. And I don’t always like doing that right away. You can tell more by video/phone call and doing that through the app offers another level of security. The background check is cool but you have to make another account And it’s a whole other process. I’m really disappointed that you can video/call in the app, every other competitor like hinge or bumble offers that. It seems like a basic function so it’s huge miss on Stirrs part. Also there should be way more filtering options, categories like education, etc..Version: 22.14.00

Found true love❤️I’m not the type to use dating apps (or leave reviews lol) I’ve always thought a more natural way to meet people was ideal, but I liked the idea of it being for single parents considering my kids are So young and it was really hard for me to go out and meet people and it was nice people on here could relate. And I got insanely lucky and found the perfect man. It has been one year now and I’m extremely thankful he is in my life so I just wanted to leave a good review and show my appreciation ha because without this app I would have never met the love of my life❤️.Version: 24.05.00

Very worst customer support and auto theft of credit card money by autosubscriptionI have many times noticed that they simply auto subscribe you and deduct money from your credit card even if you just check their plan details . Never ever add and save your credit card details in their profile. Worst customer support and iam facing login issue for past 5 to 8 days till now it isnt resolved but i am a subscribed member where they already deducted payment for 3 month plan. Its ridiculus.Version: 24.14.00

Not much of a site. The site is really basic and kind of boring. 50 bucks for one month to try to chat with someone? Lots of other apps that offer a lot more, for a lot less, or free. Disappointment..Version: 22.08.01

Not usefulAs a social networking app, it is not possible to precisely filter suitable candidates based on specific conditions, which makes it very inconvenient to use. The membership can only ensure unobstructed information exchange..Version: 25.04.00
