IncredibleI often have to use different search engines in my line of work, and it helps to be able to do that so quickly. Everything about it works really well. Except, for whatever reason, it has completely stopped working on my iPad. It works fine on my iPhone, so that leads me to believe that something is up on my end, but I don't really know how to troubleshoot that, and can't find anything online. To the developer: I love your app, and want to keep using it. Is there any help you can offer? If I can get it working again, I'll give this 5 stars..Version: 2.1.2
Fastest 2 bucks I ever spentIt’s a simple problem, and here’s an elegant solution. Does exactly what I want. It even has the ability to completely replace the default search engine with one of the engines in the app. It is a little quirky in some ways, for example if you use a non-default engine, click a link, then go back, the extension will override the back request and switch the search to the app’s default. However, I won’t dock anything cause the feature is hidden away under an “advanced” tab, likely due to quirks like this. The main app functionality works perfectly. Edit: Just poked around some more and there are different override modes for the feature I mentioned… that fix the problem I also mentioned. This is why I pay money for apps lol.Version: 2.1.8

Essential Tool for SafariThis app is incredibly useful. Being able to use a custom default search engine is great (which got even better in the most recent update). Where xSearch really shines is once you add many different search engines and prefixes, especially custom ones. You can even setup something like “gi” to go straight to Google Images, saving yourself a click. I honestly couldn’t use Safari without xSearch at this point..Version: 1.7.1
Customized searches are such a great toolGreat implementation of a sorely need function in Safari. The built-in engines are useful but even better is the ability to add custom searches. I’ve started setting up shortcuts for all the sites I administer, along with some work databases I use every day. Im looking forward to seeing how far I can extend it: domain-based Google searches? THIS APP IS BRILLIANTI like the fact that this person compiled a lot off different browser and websites all in one location. It’s very elegant and straightforward. I have a request/recommendation you should add all the .io website for all the different categories of software development to (I don’t know) cooking (for example). Works Really WellCustom search engines with keywords, just like desktop browsers. It even has a big gallery so you never need to add one manually. By default, Safari will load its default search engine for a moment before this kicks in, but there’s a beta feature in app settings to make it work correctly. The translations on the settings screen are a bit rough though..Version: 2.4.6

Great, but beware setupBest two bucks ever. When setting up, multiple shortcuts for a single search engine seem to render it ineffective. For example, Duck Duck Go is set up with shortcuts d and ddg. Won’t work unless you get rid of one or the other..Version: 2.6.6

Fantastic gem!!!I wanted to use Perplexity as the default search engine on Safari to reduce random browsing. It works so much better than I expected! Because it supports prefix *and* suffix for the keyword, I can start typing my question and decide which engine I want to use after. Using “?” as the keyword makes it even more natural.
