Best asphalt game I’ve playedWhen I was younger I played asphalt 8 and fell in love with the game. I fell away from it for years because it just took so long to progress without paying. This doesn’t have that problem. Advancement is smooth and satisfying. Graphics are amazing, and I love the controls for the game. I think there are some things I would love to see in the future, specifically more maps to race on. I enjoy all the courses in this game, but I would like to see more someday. In asphalt 8, if I’m remembering correctly there was a track that went through San Diego naval base, or some naval base, and you got to drive through an aircraft carrier. That map brought me so much joy, I would absolutely LOVE to see something like that in this game. There were so many cool maps in the older game, and I hope that we get more for this one in the future. Something else that would be fun, but not essential, would be being able to practice on the specific maps and have your fastest times recorded for those maps. Just a fun idea, but again, not necessary. All in all, this is an amazing game and all I would love to see new maps, cars, and a practice mode :).Indoraptor 175Version: 1.4.6

Still A 10/10 Game...Updating this review again, still very satisfied. These days I have been wondering if there could be a possibility of a PC port, seeing as games like Asphalt 9 is available on Steam. I'm not too sure how things would work out, but I know games like Into the Breach and Terra Nil are on PC yet also available in mobile form as Netflix games - I do hope it's possible this is allowed to be up on Steam and such on PC. Maybe even with mod support and a free race mode... I have to give thanks for the continued support this game is getting, and I'm happy that more of it is continuing to get streamlined for a fun, action packed racing game. Easily my favourite of any of the Asphalt games, I am grateful Netflix revived it, and stripped away any of the very tedious and anti-consumer trappings typical of many mobile games. No more "oil changes", "tokens", or "upgrade timers". All in all, I feel this is truly a perfect revival, worthy of 5 stars. My only nitpicks are hoping the Merc-Benz Touring Car could be given some proper offroading modifications to seem more fitting with the rest of the cars, and hopefully seeing more liveries be added to existing cars! Great game, could be better with some tweeksLove the game. Some suggested improvements: World Clash: Make lobbies based on the car level so that you’re not always getting smoked by the sweats; you always get killed by the monster trucks at the start of the race (boring), it’s virtually impossible to win a race even with a level-50 car unless you overclock it (make an overclock-only lobby based on car level so that it’s a fair fight); make a world clash where the track is not random, so that you can race your fave tracks over again to get better if you want to (people just quit out of the race if it’s a boring track, or they see that there’s a ton of monster trucks on the starting line anyway), Career Mode: You basically need a million Class A tools and a ton of cash to upgrade the necessary cars to fulfill all of the race requirements in career mode. Since the game transitioned away from pay-to-play and into the Netflix platform (which is great), it would be better to have a way to get more of those Class A tool cards instead of endless Level D car cards that you already have four cars that you don’t need to upgrade to complete career mode (even if you end up selling those cards, you still need to find a million Class A tool cards). As you need a ton of those cards and a ton of money, the only way to get the money, once you’ve completed all the mastery level levels for your inventory, is to go to world clash, and then you get all the frustration of the stuff that I mentioned above. A fun racing game but with frustrating rewardsI love the action, the realistic graphics and consistent physics. However, I have been frustrated with the meager rewards even when I’m buying the advanced boxes they give out so many D level cards AND make leveling up your cars next to impossible because when you get to level 25, you the need like 40 cards or tools to get to the next level. So I’m stuck. I can’t go any further. It would be great if you could use the “mastery” section to get enough credits/awards to level up. Latest update ain’t so goodThe latest update made some changes that made the game less enjoyable than it was. The biggest issue from this update is that the “daily challenges” are now based on how far you’ve progressed in Career mode. The farther you’ve gone, the more things you have to do to complete the daily challenges. It’s gotten to the point where I’d have to spend somewhere between 30 and 45 minutes just to complete the races for the daily challenges, which is a bigger investment than I like for daily challenges. Yes, one race was too few, but find a better way to balance this out. Two other suggestions: Get rid of “knockout” races and rework the bot racers so they drive like racers and not crash test dummies..ElBennoVersion: 1.3.1

A Revival worthy of a P-Rank!I used to love the original version. When it shut down, it made me kinda sad, but since this is here, I’m happy again. What really itches me is that a lot of the original vehicles and tracks of the original version have been cut from this release. What we did get is the Lynx TRK Heavy Duty, but that’s really just it. I really wanna see some new maps and new vehicles, and some old favorites as well, like the MAN THX D38 and the BMW X6. But other than that, a very great game! Finally a game that’s not pay to win, NO ADS and fun!!!Only thing I can ask for is some improvements. Controller support is a must, also being able to choose a name. Love the game hate the newest changesI play this game too much. It is fun and the graphics are very well done. However the latest update has changed the black market for the worse. I have lots of crowns but now everything in the market is coins making my cache of crowns useless. I have already used the crowns for the available paint upgrades. Most Underrated Asphalt GameThis game was an absolute blast from the Career Mode, TLEs, and Multiplayer. The main thing that sticks out is the gameplay and how nice it feels. Progression is good and you should have little problems in terms of naturally progressing and unlocking cars and events. There is also a dedicated, tight-knit community of other racers ready to test your skills in events or multiplayer. Exciting game, but Netflix can’t help with game bugsLove the game, but a bug on lvl 34 to finish with Chevrolet 3100 is bugged (like another commenter below mentioned). Old carsThis game is completely underrated. Disgusting AIThis game is fun but the AI in it is disgustingly horrible! Vehicles in the World Clash zig zag all over the tracks & slide sideways all over the tracks & run into walls & mountains but NEVER crash, however I crash on average three times a race, & those multiple vehicles ALWAYS win. Also, the muscle car I use for WC is maxed out, plus I have boosts engaged, but lower ranked & slower rally cars are ALWAYS zipping past me & I’m NEVER able to catch up. Vehicles that are not even on the “map tracker” 3/4 of the way thru the race end up flying past me within 100yds or so from the finish line. I win only one out of every 59WC races & only finish in the Top 3 in one out of every 38 races. Yes, I have done the math because I got so irritated with virtually never finishing in the top three. In the Limited-Time Events, I NEVER finish in the Top 10%. I have various maxed out vehicles with boosters, & I run races without wrecking, but I still cannot finish in the Top 10%. AI makes it to where I don’t even want to play the game. I understand that it’s not a pay for play game & I appreciate that, but at least make it somewhat competitive & believable..JAX5496Version: 1.4.8

Fun game, yet….I’ve actually deleted this game because of the online play but I really liked it. So, I re-downloaded it. The developers need to make people just get shoved into barriers, etc., and have them slowed down and not crashed/wrecked out because people are abusing it. However,this isn’t even my biggest gripe now. How about trying several times to place between 1st and 3rd to go up towards the garnering of daily online rewards. Update Broke the SteeringIn the last 3 days something changed about the steering making the game nearly unplayable. Touching right or left to steer no longer works causing repeated crashes. You MUST HAVE NETFLIX in order to play.It is a shame that a game available on the App Store also requires a secondary paid subscription to Netflix, which involves an extra monthly cost. You cannot play the game offline either, which means if you in an area without internet access, the game won’t work. It is problematic to myself if people do pay for Apple Arcade, they now have to on top of that cost, also pay for a Netflix subscription to a game available on the App Store. I also find it very hard to get the cards that you need for example for the Corvette it was impossible to get the cards almost and the black market. I keep checking the black market, but you keep trying to sell me cards that I have 10000s of them. But the Corvette card never comes up the high-end cards never come up on the black market to buy, and the game should allow you to sell your cards once I have upgraded the car to level 50. I keep getting cards for that car, why can’t I sell those back to the black market and make money it’s getting to the point where you’re just playing the daily events you can’t go any further in the career because you’ve completed it and the cards that are coming are not allowing me to upgrade the cars that I need to upgrade probably just stop playing pretty soon because the progress is almost zero..RealitystarVersion: 1.4.8

I’ve finished career mode, for the Camaro, and basically levelled as many vehicles as I could, but have now run out of cash to buy stupid crates. The essential items to level up care show up so randomly, that I had to dump millions in the search for them, which has bankrupted me, thereby slowing down the process to complete the only challenge that remains. Bugs bugs and more bugsWhere to start with this game…. On the face of things it’s a fun game with decent level progression even when level progression has a degree of randomness tossed in. But the problem lies once you delve a bit deeper and start actually playing the game. The first thing I noticed was after a week of gameplay the game started giving me IMPOSSIBLE “Daily Missions” that involved selecting cars you cannot actually pick for the races. Sometimes it will even tell you to use a car you don’t even own. This is a nuisance for sure, but not a big problem all by itself. But then there’s what the game does to players who post a Top 15 score in the Limited Time Race Series…. It will never ‘synchronize’ my time and let me keep my score. Ever. The synchronize feature is something that normally goes by completely unnoticed until all of a sudden you post a great time and, boom, the game, like magic, simply will not synchronize no matter what you do and you’re forced to lose your time you posted and if you try again and post another good time it will not sync. Again. But if you don’t post a top 15 score it will sync every time. This bug is one of the worst you can possibly have in a racing game. The multiplayer rooms take forever to get matched up with players making timed bonuses you pay for absolutely useless in a multiplayer scenario. All in all, it’s a good game to start but a terrible game to continue to play as you will lose important progression due to game bugs. Begin at your own risk….
