A Few Bugs, But Great ReleaseFor a game that has just been released it’s very fun. The abilities seem to be quite balanced. Of course, there is an aspect of RNG where you can’t always win no matter how good you may be, but unlike most other games, it doesn’t ruin the fun. There are of course a few bugs when it comes to the servers which is expected upon release. Sometimes the game may not register a jump which can cost you the contest unfortunately. You will visually see your character jump just to be teleported back to where you were and ultimately die. Other than that, I don’t see anything wrong with the game! Keep the cosmetic items coming and everyone will be happy. Edit: I see some people complaining about how they are unable to progress because they are losing trophies. I personally like the trophy system as the entire point of it is to be used as a ranking system. If you’re good enough you will reach rank 70 and not everyone is supposed to be able to reach rank 70. I have reached rank 70 and it took less than a week, so it is more than possible for those who deserve it. I did find an issue with the new challenges that were released. Best Game; Worst GlitchesThis is absolutely the best game I have ever played. I would be lying if I didn’t disclose its share of problems as well. Great interactive game, that’s free. Able to develop relationships with other players and immerse yourself in the squid games world, in this game. Multiple character options, different games, form alliances, and multiple chat room options. Have to log into your Netflix account to use the microphone, while playing in a party with others. This game also has multiple glitches and randomly loses connection, even when you’re on WiFi. One glitch makes you stuck in the same place while racing to get to the end in racing games. The game isn’t frozen, you can see others passing you. When you try to run or jump, it will glitch and you are back in the same place; you are stuck in a loop with little to no progress. Another glitch forces your character to die in survival games. No fingers on the controls and character’s legs are not running but your character is shifting in the direction to fall off the ledge, platform, etc. Last major glitch is the game freezing after a round is over and it fails to advance your character to the next round. Each game has 3 rounds and if this glitch occurs after round 1, you will lose ladder points. Game is unable to detect that this occurred due to a glitch and you don’t get those ladder points back. Only way out of this glitch is by closing the game and restarting. It’s good but… there’s an another squid game 💀👀😏I think this game is really well made. It would be cool to have more OG squid game modes and more modes in general too but it’s still great the way it is. There’s another squid game called Crab Game that’s an absolute masterpiece that can’t be beat. Crab game is the OG squid game game. It has tons of great modes and is still awesome after 4 years. It’s movement based, competitive, chat with other players, pushing, it’s great. Not to mention the developer, Dani, made it in 2 weeks and a couple of updates fueled off of coffee and determination! And he did it all by himself. I know it’s off topic but noone here knows about Crab Game and everyone should know about it and that it’s the first squid game (and by far the best imo). Anyways, back to this game (which is still good don’t get me wrong) One thing I don’t like is that after the game ends you have to wait a while to see your results and stuff before you can play again and then after that you gotta wait for the multiplayer thing to load. I’m probably in the minority but I believe that as soon as the game ends the player should have the ability to start a new game. I know that many people like to see the statistics at the end though, so I think it would be great if there was a settings tab where you could disable long end screens. WinningI love the update. People in parties were the worst to deal with as a solo player. They’re still obnoxious sometimes but the toxicity has gone way down with the implemented changes. Too many people abuse the party system and they are the same ones complaining. L What, the game isn’t fun now because you actually have to battle by yourself to a degree? Playing in parties can be ok but imo it’s tedious to just sit around forever and do nothing but stand there and emote for several minutes all to split a win. I never enjoyed parties because I felt bad ganging up on solo players since I know what that’s like. It’s nearly impossible to win solo when you’re being attacked by a group of people who are all targeting you specifically. Especially once you’re the last solo player remaining in the match. I think if the people reviewing and complaining want parties so bad then they need to play in matches that ONLY contain other parties, no solo players. That way it’s fair. My advice to the development team— if you’re worried about trying to satisfy everyone—would be to make a “party mode” where you can only match up with other groups/parties. You could require a maximum number of people for the parties before said parties can hit start and join the game. The total starting number at each match is 32 which means you can have 4 groups consisting of 8 people each OR you can have 8 groups that contain 4 people each. It’s definitely doable. Got worse unfortunatelyI have played this game days after season 2 came out, and it was so fun. I often played as Thanos cause I liked the "take a hit" ability. I even made him max level. But now, a lot has changed, particularly with thanos. The games are quite unfair with the new ability he has, I think it's called the special dalgona or something like that, lots of the outfits were changed for ABSOLUTELY no reason, and you guys made it so if you play for 7 days, you can literally get the all the skins and max level, which defeats the purpose for those who spent hours and days of gameplay trying to get those skins in the first place. Some of the new updates don't even make sense. Like why would you guys make it so Thanos can get an ability that makes him practically automatically win the level? There was nothing wrong with the ability in the first place! Also, bugs are a huge issue. Sometimes, I'll get kicked out, and then my level will decrease, which is so unfair. All in all, the game was so fun and addicting, but now, nonsensical updates are being made, ruining the game entirely. Great Game, But New Updates Bring More BugsI really love this game and the frequent updates show that the developers are working hard to keep things fresh and exciting. However, with each new update, I’ve noticed more bugs that affect my overall experience. One of the biggest issues is not being able to check messages or answer calls after crossing the finish line—it’s frustrating and breaks the flow of the game. Another problem that keeps happening is during parties: I’ll be waiting with friends, the host will search for a match, and then I get a message saying “host has abandoned the game” or something related to a “photon” error. FunI been playing since the pre-order and the game is very fun but theres a few problems. The movement glitches out when jumping. The item targeting system wont allow you to target certain players at times. And the ranking system seems unfair. When you reach gold if you lose the first game you lose 8 trophies, lose the second game u lose 4 trophies, lose the third you gain 3, win you gain 8. Good, but somethings have to be fixed1. In jump rope the rope never changes it’s speed. It’s supposed to go faster and faster like the real show. 2. Fun game too many glitches timeouts and disadvantagesIts a fun interaction game but for some reason it glitches out too much. Sometimes it leaves other playing characters floating on my lobby screen. When playing with another person on the party mode either one of the screens wont load as fast or kicks you out or the game will start for one and continue loading for the other. In one occasion my playmate was kicked out to to “photo image error” but when the other game started on the same match his character kept playing as if he was the one playing still. Also on the week 3 objective theres a mission that says “win contest with different characters” I've done so with multiple different characters already and it still doesn't add nothing on it. How does it get worse with updates??I’ve been playing since the game came out, LOVED IT. But since these past updates it’s getting worse. I drop connection during almost every other game i play, and my service is fine. With that being said, if someone loses connection during a game it should not be counted as a loss and they shouldn’t lose trophies because of a problem they have no control over. Now, onto gameplay. First, players who have passed shouldn’t be able to interact with players that haven’t. Players who have passed camp the finish line making it nearly impossible for others to pass. Second, getting a golden item in the last game (especially squid game) seems too OP. It’s an immediate win for the player who has the golden item and gives no chance for anyone else to win. Lastly, why can’t we see if we’re starting the game with an item until the game starts now? I personally feel it’s better to know if we’re starting with an item so i’m not immediately going after a present. What if i wanted the item i start with but immediately went for a present and now i don’t get the opportunity to use it? Idk kinda defeats the purpose of starting with an item if you ask me. Also, what’s up with changing the winning reward from 50 Character Tokens to only 30? And why can’t you buy Frontman Character Tokens? I’d understand if they were more expensive, but to not have them at all? Personally i also feel as if 100 levels may be too much, 70 was the perfect amount for the time of the seasons. Great way to pass the timeThis game is incredible fun to play, even more with friends. If I can suggest two things. Around the holiday seasons, if you can change up some levels designs (not the actual games) it’ll make the game even more refreshing. One of the best details about this game are the scenery and overall map layout. And one more thing, can you make a 5 Round match? Make game betterGreat game but I have some suggestions: 1) do not make the ranking system easier, if anything, make it harder. We should not be gaining points for not winning. If you make it to last game, unless you place top 3, I believe there should be no gain if you lose. As of right now it’s +4 which makes it so anyone can get rank 70 if they grind long enough, and there’s really no skill in being the top rank. 2) add a leaderboard. Once reaching rank 70 we get surplus trophies, but these mean nothing without a leaderboard. If you want to have seasons, you should have a leaderboard, they go hand in hand. 3) more difficulty. The games are Childs play. It’s rated for 12+, so maybe add some more difficulty. These race maps are jokes, and anyone with prior gaming experience (movement games especially) will get bored easily. 4) fix lag. 16 months in…Title should be telling enough, but this game is fun! Lots of stuff to keep you engaged, from casual to the daily grind to unlock skins and earn rewards before the seasons end. At the start, there were balancing issues with characters, and for the most part the developers have handled that well ie: thanos and emmi were so OP back in the day. They added lives which cheapened the experience but was necessary as I can’t tell you how many times I raged at knowing I was about to get stabbed instantly at the spawn of a round (with a higher lvl player next to me), and that would be the end of my game. Currently a big fan BUTThis new update doesn’t allow anyone with a weapon to throw any hits. When you aim at a character they light up yellow and you think you’re ready to shoot but either the dodgeball or bomb flies in the opposite direction. If the weapon you have is a bat, the bat swings but doesn’t hit even though your target isn’t moving and you’re standing directly in front of them. I swing multiple times and no reaction from the other character. The knife also has a delayed reaction and doesn’t work on anyone. very rare when it does work. Update?!?!Updated Review: So far I am pleased with the update. The game plays better and I am turning the one star back into a 5 star rating. This was easily a five star game, then an update happened. This update keeps me from using the weapons to defend myself, they are useless. Not only is aim off for me, but I see it with other players. Fun addicting game but annoying in some areasI quickly got addicted to playing this after watching the show for the first time, the game it’s very fun however the wifi connection always lags and the controls are sometimes finicky. Squid Game is a good adaptation to a video gameSquid game unleashed is basically a multiplayer online game that seems like a mix of fortnite, fall guys, squid game (obviously), and mario kart. Baisically a battle royale game with 32 players (fills in with bots if not enough players are found) with the movement mechanics of fall guys sort of, with little emote/emojis instead of chat (unless you’re in a party), I added “mario kart, and that’s because there are tons of power ups to collect and use to sabotage others or help yourself. there are also dofferent classes with abilities for example: thanos has the chance to spawn witha dalgona, which is basically the super-star from mario kart. Leveling up SYSTEMI don’t ever write reviews but I thought that the overall game was a great idea. I like it I play it all the time, but the only issue I have is the leveling up. After you get past level 50 you have to win 2 games or you loose -4 if you win one game or loose -8 if you don’t win at all and only get +4 for winning 2. Granted you don’t go back to anything lower than 50 once you get it which is nice but make the game enjoyable and more accessible to players trying to grind and get front man at level +70. Great game. Super laggy now.I’ve surpassed Frontman lvl and love the gameplay and everything. But since its continuously kicked me out of a match for connectivity issues even though I have no issues on any other app. And then they take my trophies away for “losing” even though the game would kick me with no chance of reconnecting without exiting completely and restarting in a new match. Improvement suggestionsEnjoying the game quite a bit! My only suggestions for improvement would be: 1.) Make the controls a bit less janky. It’s difficult to move the way I want my character to go, when she jumps instead of turning the view around. 2.) When you lose out in the first game of three, you get minus points and your rank goes down. Connection issuesI’ve been enjoying this game for a while now, it’s very competitive but fun. My biggest issue started last night when I was having crazy connection issues. Fishing polesI have already written 2 reviews and they keep getting taken down so here goes 3, the glitches are annoying and can be pretty game breaking, not a huge deal for me, it’s new. The game is a lot of fun, probably one of the best mobile games to release in a long time, no ads, no pay2win, skill based, it’s seriously a blast. However, the addition of the fishing pole has completely ruined the fun, people just pull everyone into the finish line almost immediately and it makes the final prize pot very poor at best and kills the suspense of everyone trying to bat people out. Not only that but since fishing poles have seemed to make knives spawn a lot less the front man character (which is basically the holy grail you grind for) has been made virtually worthless as you basically have no chance of ever using your ability even when upgraded. Started GreatI really enjoyed this game to begin with, it’s fun to play and I get engulfed by the game. But as I’ve played, I’ve had several glitches. My goal has been to get to the Front man rank (level 70), and by the time I joined, I had 7 days to do so. I played non stop the last several days to get to level 50 and now I’m stuck. The biggest issue is the amount of times I will be playing and suddenly it disconnects. Once disconnected, you lose your rank points regardless or what happened. I’ve even crossed the finish line and then it cuts out and I lose. At first I was just simply not gaining points, but once you reach a certain level, you lose 8 points (one ranking). Between the glitches, it’s nearly impossible to get to 70. This happens no matter what, WiFi or on data, either home, work, or out and about. As much as I want to love this game, the loss of an entire number rank (level 51 to level 50) from WiFi glitching and/or simply losing the first round, it loses the fun. Even with just losing, 16 people have to lose every first game. So 16 people are losing a whole number rank just for failing the first round. It should be that you simply don’t gain points, not lose the rank you earned. Especially when there’s tons of reports of people having glitch issues throughout the country. DisappointingI really wanted to like this game, but it’s been a huge letdown. The game crashes every time I try to move on to the next round. It goes to the countdown and then just goes black. The servers are constantly crashing, no matter if I’m on Wi-Fi or not—it always shows that bad connection symbol. Then there’s the issue with the characters. There are 12 men, 7 women, and 1 gender-neutral character, which feels way off. What’s worse is that all the special abilities, cool outfits, and unique features are all for the men. The women only get basic upgrades like “double knife” , “running” and a higher **CHANCE** of getting a weapon. The guys get the non-destructible weapons, animated effects, and all the cool stuff. Every “special” character is a man, and even the outfits are all geared toward them. I was really hoping for at least one more female character with some upgrades in the next update, but nope, they added another dude. It just feels kind of sexist. And don’t even get me started on the weapons. The only “deadly” weapon for the females is a snowball, but it’s only usable when it’s snowing. Awful player supportPlayer support in this game is honestly laughable. I would not recommend anyone play Squid Game Unleashed, unless you're okay with being randomly banned because other players falsely report you. I’ve personally been banned twice, even though I was the one being harassed by other players. Both times I tried to appeal the ban, but player support didn’t seem interested in investigating the situation quickly. Instead, they just repeat that responses will come “within 7 business days,” which isn’t helpful when you’re locked out of the game. Cheating is also a serious issue. I’ve seen players running around completely invisible during matches, and nothing seems to happen to them. Meanwhile, players will report you simply for beating them in games or defending yourself in general chat. The community can be extremely toxic. General chat is full of bullying and people saying some pretty disgusting things, and there doesn’t seem to be much moderation. Honestly, I think general chat should be removed entirely. Only crew members and players in the same lobby should be able to talk among themselves. General chat should only be used for party codes and nothing else.
