Edited review customer support was helpfulI got this after dealing with identity theft from a family member who knows my sensitive information and is a hacker. I find it very confusing. I submitted a ticket to get an identity phone number esim and didn’t receive anything back. Had to submit another ticket and still haven’t heard anything. After making 2 identities, it keeps giving me an error message for making another one. I submitted another ticket and got an email from AI Kitt, who didn’t help so I requested a human. It said it could take 24 hours to hear back (which hasn’t passed yet, which is fine) but tried deleting the app and reinstalling and now I can’t even login. If support gets back to me, I’ll change my review but I’m canceling after all this. Customer support did get back to me within said 24 hours, they were very helpful and turns out it was due to my vpn. However, I figured that last night and turned it off and tried everything and it still didn’t work but after doing it today, it worked no problem. I’m still new to the app and still confused about things but trying to learn. Great Service, Needs Better Software DesignI really appreciate the services provided by your app, but there are a few issues that frustrate me. Firstly, the app often signs me out on my phone, usually when I need to use it most, which is incredibly inconvenient. The process of re-downloading my information every time is time-consuming and frustrating. While I understand the need to re-sign in on desktop browsers, having to do so frequently on my phone feels unnecessary. Additionally, the app doesn’t allow me to add different logins for subdomains, which is a feature I find invaluable in alternatives like Dashlane. Good, but misleadingI checked the reviews on this app before downloading it, and they looked pretty good. So, I tried it out. It did its scan, and said it found 900+ records on sites sharing my information. I paid for the app, and it began the removal process. It took about a week for it to remove three of the records, then it seemed to stop. About another week went by, and it reported another 303 records removed, with some requiring manual steps to be removed. I went through the steps, and was able to remove the records. However, I went and looked through the records that were removed, and there was literally three records that were actually mine! The rest were people who had a “similar” name, but clearly, they were not mine. Some of them had my same first and last name, and even showed they lived in my same little town. But, that was it for similarities. Their relatives were people I do not know, their previous residences were in states I have never been in, and none of their phone numbers matched mine. Information that I have in my Cloaked profile. Yet, they still counted the 300 removals as successful. Albeit, they did remove some of my records, and gave me fairly easy steps to remove the ones I had to do manually, the high number of claimed records removed had nothing to do with me. I did update my information on the app with more addresses and old phone numbers, so I’ll see how it does from here on out. My experience on the paid planI was excited about Cloaked. I thought it was an all in one tool to protect my digital identity. To some extent, it is, but functionally all it does is seek to replace your existing password manager and enable you to create aliases and generate disposable emails and phone numbers. It also offers personal information removal from data brokers. The disposable emails/phone numbers through Cloaked are not accepted on most websites I have tried them on. The password manager is obtrusive and clunky at best (as a Chrome extension) I have had to delete it. The personal information remover seems to work decently well, but I’ve found my information in a few places it has claimed to deleted me from. For $12/month, I found it to be not worth it so I have cancelled. The only thing I use this for is the personal info removal. All the other features feel rushed in. Everyone who has an email or phone number needs thisI love everything about Cloaked! It’s truly remarkable, and I wish I had it as soon as I had my first cell phone and email address. I can now sign up for everything I want without being scared of spam calls and annoying emails, as I can easily delete the email and phone number I shared with them. Voila, I don’t have to worry about spam calls from them for the rest of my phone number/email ’s life! Also, I get to know which company sold my information to spammers! So it keeps my info private, keeps me in control, and keeps everything simple and easy! Good when it works but useless in the endI have had this program just over a year. I loved the program and it worked well until it came time to renew my subscription. I chose to renew for another year and paid the annual fee but soon after payment my account is showing it as an unpaid account and moved it down to basic level subscription. I contacted support to resolve the issue but they have been difficult to communicate with and have been unable to resolve this issue for me. Support team is less than helpful and should be ashamed of themselves. Had to contact my credit card for an investigation of this issue and they have refunded my money back to me. I have conducted a 4 month study on this app and its features and I am extremely disappointed in this app failing to do the main thing, protect your privacy. It claims are that it removes your data from every data broker website, when in reality it doesn’t. After 4 months of examination, and a requested data file from another service, DeleteMe (who also failed to protect me from this) Cloaked failed to protect my privacy. All of my public records were unscathed. All the deep web files were untouched and still are untouched. Cloaked will not protect you. Cloaked will take your money and ensure a false sense of security. If you were swindled into buying a plan, cancel it. If you want to remove your PII from a website, it only works for about 2-4 weeks before these brokers update their information, which is why you get updates from public records sites frequently with the same information as before. Amazing service I wish I had years agoCloaked is an amazing product and service. Phone numbers and emails as a proxy, or to live on the app itself. I’ve noticed many company’s apps and services I sign up for using cloaked, even those who pride themselves on privacy, since signing up with a cloaked email or phone, I’ve been getting spam calls and texts from other places than the app or website. Does a fantastic job of protecting your identity.Daily I get notices in the mail of different companies that have lost or have had a breach of their security procedures. Great app and service, but still some bugs with subscriptionI also paid for my subscription but it still says subscription expired. I contacted support and “Kit” said it could be caused by the cloud strike outage or it could be the way Apple manages subscriptions (I don’t think it’s even possible to get a subscription through the App Store!…). I just keep getting sent to the website from the app. Also, I assume Kit is a bot because it offered an explanations for possibilities to why I was having this issue, but made no effort in resolving it (after pinning the blame on Apple). Great privacy toolsThere are many other apps that offer tools similar to cloaked. But I’ve never seen one offer unlimited masked phon numbers. Great customer serviceI have found this app to be extremely effective in removing my personal information from broker lists and website databases and screening out spam calls. However, I inadvertently ended up with two accounts. The live agent I worked with, Raymart, spent more than an hour on chat to resolve my duplicate account and billing problem, where one of the accounts that I had set up as a monthly account was visible, but the second account where I had tried to switch my monthly subscription to an annual subscription was not showing up. To Raymart’s credit, he kept trying. After reviewing the screenshots that I sent and trying one thing then another, Raymart. finally resolved the problem. Helps, but not enoughI found this app through ads, looked legit and got it. Read that it takes about a month before the spam calls stop (only reason I got it). It’s been two months now, paid $10 twice, and I literally just got a spam call while typing this. All the app does is mute calls from unknown numbers- does not stop them. On another note, it even mutes my contacts! I’ve now memorized my friend’s phone numbers because I get a notification that their number is calling, which gets sent to the app, and I have to call them back- the in-app phone function does not function. Put my life in dangerOnce I loaded the app, instead of filtering the calls, which is what it was set to do, it glitched, according to Cloaked and has blocked all incoming and outgoing calls. And unfortunately, that includes me trying to make a 911 emergency call. When I called the police department instead of them picking up, I got a message that said that they do not receive numbers that have been blocked or hidden. I presently have an active stalker who at this minute is in jail and about to be released on bond and will be very angry. And this app on my phone, which I have already gone through the process via their chat assistance to remove its functioning off of my phone, so there would no longer block the calls and have tried numerous times and it is not removing it, and I still cannot make an emergency phone call. Presently it has my life in danger and the best it could do was take my information and let me know that on the next available workday after 9 AM somebody would contact me by email. This is completely unacceptable and I am fearful for anyone who downloads the app to their phone and is unaware until they are in a dire situation and try to get a hold of the police department and find out that their 911 calls will not go through. Disastrous experience — caused a flood of spam and blocked legit calls.Before trying Cloaked, I was getting about 4 to 5 spam calls a day. Within the very first hour of switching to Cloaked, I was slammed with 5 spam calls in the morning alone. It completely backfired. I had to scramble to turn my AT&T ActiveArmor back on, which took hours because AT&T requires a waiting period before you can re-subscribe. While AT&T's free service isn't perfect, it is way more efficient than Cloaked. Furthermore, Cloaked completely fails to mention a massive technical catch: if you choose to receive calls through their app instead of your native phone app, you must have a flawless internet connection. If your connection dips, even legitimate, critical calls will NOT go through. Their service is extremely overpriced for the poor performance they deliver; honestly, it isn't worth more than $2 a month. Could Be BetterLet me clarify that I absolutely love the ability to create identities with separate email addressed and phone numbers. This features keeps my phone from being blown up by companies whenever I’m forced to input a number/email. With that said, the main reason I got Cloaked in the first place was to remove my information from data brokers to have more privacy and to stop spam calls or solicitors. In this regard, I feel that app is teetering on the edge of truth and falsehood. Let me explain: The app initially does a scan, shows you where your stuff is leaked, and promises to remove it for you. Great! But every 30 days, it magically finds “new” info. As far as I can tell, Cloaked DOES NOT send removal requests to every company at once, it chooses several and then says it will check again in 30 more days. Bro, if you just need monthly revenue then say that - but I’m literally paying you to remove my info from the internet, not to piecemeal it every single month and draw out this process. On top of that, every month it shows that some of the data brokers that I’ve already had stuff removed from are back in my list. Every month I keep double checking and mark Done (oh yeah, it’s not automatic) and every month they keep reappearing, even though I send Cloaked screenshots of my removal requests and the granted approval to remove. So I spent 7 hours the other day to DIY remove my info from 61 data brokers that Cloaked shows as a green check mark lol yeah, right. This app doesn’t workSo the app was not working when I first signed up it wouldn’t let me save any information, support wouldn’t respond for days at a time, finally they said they fixed the issue, so I re signed up. It was letting me save info finally after the update. Now the VPN disconnected itself days ago and again support won’t respond all you get is this AI help screen that doesn’t understand what you are telling it. I think they keep releasing updates and this is the only app I have that won’t update automatically. This way when ur identity gets stolen they can say you didn’t update the app so they get out of Paying the coverage. Doesn’t workI downloaded this app with high hopes of it finally erasing my number from the dark web databases and stopping the annoying calls. This app fails on so many levels. 1) After over 2 months spam calls are still getting through. Even my phone knows that it’s “possible spam” but the app isn’t screening the calls. 2) I’m getting more spam calls now than I was before I downloaded the app. It’s almost like this company is selling our numbers to spammers just to block those same numbers to make it seem like it’s working. I used to get 6 - 8 spam calls per day. Now I get about 10 - 14 calls per day. 3) When a call is screened and the number is allowed through after the person identifies themselves, the call shows up as “verified” and I can’t even see who the call is from. So it’s like Russian roulette answering unknown calls. It literally makes the experience worse than before because now I’m answering calls from people I don’t want to even talk to. Do not buy this service!I have attempted to log in to my account at least 50 times. They send you into a big circle. You request a password reset, but never receive a link. The only way you can access your account is with the key they give you when you sign up. Good luck trying to access if you’re traveling! I have had this for a week. Not one change. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t billed more than once, but that’s their scam! They sign you up and refuse to provide access for you to get into your account to close it. The BBB should shut them down. I paid for an annual Couple plan and the app suddenly blocked me from creating numbers with a vague “temporarily paused” message and almost no explanation. No warning. No clear rules. No onboarding explaining what you should or should not do with identities and numbers. Apparently deleting numbers while trying to learn the app can get your account restricted, but nowhere do they clearly explain that. Instead of educating paying customers, the system quietly punishes them. Support is a mess. One support email bounced back, parts of the help system produced server errors, and contacting an actual human feels intentionally difficult. For a company built around communication and privacy, that is embarrassing. The entire experience feels unfinished and poorly thought out for a premium paid service. Customers should not have to reverse-engineer how an app works while risking account restrictions. I wanted to like Cloaked because the concept is good, but the execution and customer communication are terrible. At this point I would strongly recommend people look at MySudo instead. Another Scam. Paid for Nothing In Return – Beware of Recurring ChargesI signed up for Cloaked with the expectation that they would remove or reduce my personal information online. Instead, I received nothing of value. Their so-called “report” claimed they found no information, which is simply false—I’m 60 years old and can be found all over the internet. When I questioned the results, I was told to wait until “next month” when they would run another search. That sounded more like a way to bill my credit card again than a real solution. Meanwhile, my online presence, emails and voicemails show my information is still exposed. I feel like I’ve been taken by yet another band of crooks. I’ve asked for a refund, but at this point, I’m left with a lighter wallet and zero results. Bottom line: Save your money. Impossible to cancel paid subscriptionI have tried multiple ways to cancel my monthly subscription and still can’t figure out how to do it. They make it unnecessarily complicated. When you click on manage subscription, they make you sign back into the website with a different email that they provide and it’s apparently supposed to bring up another page. I have no idea what step comes after that because the page never comes up and none of their links regarding your subscription will work in the app or on the website via mobile. The service wasn’t able to accomplish what I had initially expected. I paid for the service to manage the amount of spam I receive in my email inbox. Ripoff company you’ll regret using them eventually when you try to cancel/delete the serviceFirst off my experience with their service was bad. Has potential but not yet…I like the service, and I think it has potential. However, the ability to generate numbers is no longer available. Can be useful, but I lost all trust for them.First off, all this app does is automate and simplify things that anyone can otherwise do themselves. And it does a pretty good job at it. Especially if someone was unaware that they can submit forms to remove themselves from various lists, change their phone settings, etc. So for that reason, I actually would have recommended them at least for a one time or short term basis. And maybe you could argue that some level of monitoring is a good thing. The thing is, if you’re not actively doing that after setup, it’s just another one of those rogue subscription fees you pay. Nice app, bad performance.I think the app is relatively easy to use however, there are some features that need to be moved around to make more sense for the user. The password manager is very basic. So many features and has not nearly as robust as the many other offerings on the App Store. Cloaked is also very slow to remove your information. Their indicators say 3 to 5 days but it’s going on a month now and they 30 items of those 30 items I had to initiate the removal myself for 20 of them. Don’t Subscribe - Not Safe!!This company is a joke. I paid one month but the said they removed my info but the didn’t. Also calls from my contacts and favorites were still blocked. They got a hold of one of my cc numbers that I didn’t provide to them and tried charging me for another month after I canceled service before the renewal date. I also put my account for deletion than turned off call forwarding and put my live voicemail back on. Then I went back and deleted my account immediately. Then today a call came in that was still being forwarded to them. I just emailed support. Let’s see what they say. They never responded to other emails even though I said I wanted a response. Pain in the backsideI installed cloaked to get rid of the continuous notifications and protection. But it didn’t happen !! I got even more notifications it was driving nuts so I went to cancel and I had a hard time canceling after several attempts to keep me on as a customer they finally told me how to do it so I have but I still have cloaked on every silent call I get I have to go into the phone to see who called on those calls. But I don’t receive voicemails anymore so I have no ideal who left a message. I updated my IOS and my phone wouldn’t work right and it was because of cloaked . Problem using on iPhoneThis app took away the recent call list on my iPhone, I could only see who’s calling as it was ringing, if I went back later to see who called it was missing, and those callers where in my contact list. I spent around 3 hours back and forth with the online help, which you can only text to them, no voice back and forth. This last time I tried once again to get someone it said 3 to 5 minute wait time, after 20 minutes of that still saying that I gave up and deleted the account. Now that’s another negative issue. They don’t make that easy at all. They say I have to delete the subscription from “Stripe”, that doesn’t even show up on my subscription list, amazing..ChavoSRQVersion: 2.45.1

Snake-oil, smoke, and mirrorsI got cloaked to augment my optery subscription for data broker data deletion. The call guard function was just a nice plus side that I was excited for. Ive had to go into chat support multiple times just to get the call forwarding working, and no matter what support has had me try, it will not work. I have all of my contacts synced with cloaked, I have explicitly made important people in my life, like my wife, as allowed callers and it still sends her to voicemail. Ive tried going into support for help again recently, and it said 9-13 minutes to talk to a rep. That came and went and it told me i was next! (Yay!) and would be connected to an agent "shortly." Well 2 hours later I still hadn't been connected to a support agent despite it saying I'm next in line and I finally gave up. I'll chuck The cost of premium for a year up to the cost of playing the game, but i won't be renewing, and im going back to hiya. 4 stars for the features, 1 star for support, 1 star for user experience, 1 star for execution. Waste of moneyIt shows you the brokers where your info is exposed, with a lot of outdated manual instructions on how to contact the broker and request your info to be deleted from each manually. For some brokers it says it's working on deleting your info, with an ETA of 3 days, and this ETA never changes and can stay like that for weeks, usually right up to the next billing cycle, so they can get one more monthly payment from you. During the first month it claimed to remove my information from 3 out of the 89 sites my info is on but when I checked two of the sites my information still was on it. Not worth the expenseAn expensive product that failed to actually DO anything except make me miss phone calls. I know my data must be all over based solely on the 30+ spam calls I get a day. I had high hopes for this and was very disappointed. The initial scan removed my info from 1 location on the first day… nothing after that. Using cloaked didn’t lessen the number of calls, it just guaranteed the calls I needed to know about would end up inaccessible and the AI call review would let through any call that mumbled words from another AI bot.
