Amazing but leaves a little to be desiredI don’t normally write reviews but this app warranted it. Love that all the features are free. The scanning is great when it works (95% of the time, I really only have issue with Japanese pokemon cards and only the holo ones at that) This would be a 5 star but coming from an app like Collectr it’s easy to see the short comings that you got used to. If you plan on master setting then it’s not the easiest with this app. You have to manually select the variants of each card rather than seeing them all part of one set. There’s also currently no support for Chinese sets yet but what more can you expect from a free app. There’s no pay wall to anything and as such you tolerate the lacking features. I’m hoping to see improvements as time passes and maybe this will become an old review that gets replaced by a 5 Star! ITS FREELet me say this to start off with, most of these apps to scan Pokémon cards charge you after so many scans. Those apps also have a hard time scanning cards and you’re wasting your free scans just by trying to get the app to recognize the card. Not this app, this app you have your card scanned by tapping the image once the card is lined up and bam! It scans it. No fuss no issue, English and Japanese cards scan just fine but Korean or Chinese, not so much. You can add ETBs, UPCs, Booster boxes, and of course your raw cards. There is even shopping within the app, meaning if you’re looking for a product you should be able to find a listing for it within this app. There is also market data on your collection and individual cards. Now the thing I wish you could do, because you can also scan MTG cards, is categorize and create groups of cards. Because I want to keep my pokemon collection and MtG collection separate. Good trackerI use this app to keep track of my PC of Pokemon. I love how easy it is to scan my cards in and if I scan a card that I already have I can see the card listed in my collection and the condition. That makes it really helpful when I’m shopping at shows. I do wish there were a way to access your follows/followers without having to find a post of theirs on the feed. Right now I cannot just touch my followers and find my list. That would be really helpful because sometimes my family likes to shop for each other and it would make it easier not to get duplicates. I wish one piece were on here too! One last thing, I wish I could limit my scan results or searches to English or Japanese because I don’t know how many times in a rush I’ve added a card in the wrong language just by the photo..WolfyTNGVersion: 2.12.3

If you like cards, GET THIS APPPP!This app lets you scan your trading cards and instantly tells you how much they’re worth, which is great—until you realize that dusty card you’ve been calling “bulk” is actually rent money. I scanned my entire collection and the app politely informed me of the total value, then politely destroyed my ego by showing whether it went up or down. Nothing like a graph to emotionally humble you. The scanner works fast and feels like magic. One second you’re holding a card, the next second the app is like, “Congrats, this card is worth $42. Or it was yesterday.” The price tracking feature is both amazing and terrifying. Watching your collection rise feels like winning the lottery. Watching it drop feels like the stock market personally targeted you. You can also buy cards directly from other sellers on the app, which is super convenient and definitely not dangerous for my bank account. I opened it “just to scan,” and somehow I ended up buying three cards I didn’t need but absolutely deserved. Overall, this app is perfect for collectors who love numbers, charts, and mild emotional damage. If you enjoy scanning cards, tracking value changes, and accidentally spending money while saying “this is an investment,” then congratulations—this app is your new best friend. Collecting toolI have used many of the collector type apps to sort and organize my collection. Is this the best? No but it is a top contender gets a 5* for they are actually updating and making it better all the time. I do use it daily along with a couple others, this has pushed a lot of other ones off the list to never use again. Has nice options to see others collections while also pricing out your own, does need some work on that side but I don’t think it is their problem when PriceCharting and TCG player have heavily to lightly played worth more than near mint they need to fix something kinda strange you have to just give all the info you find I guess to let the customer make there decisions is about all I could recommend so no stars can be taken away for that. Some issuesBeen having trouble being able to update my avatar photo. I keep getting an error message and it won’t let me update it. Also it looks like something is constantly trying to load at the top of the “collection” page. Other than that I think the scanning feature works really well with some exceptions. I would love a feature to be added that once I scan in a ton of cards, there was a button to add them all to my collection. Instead I have to go down the list and add each scanned card individually. I would also like a separate section for the grade worthy cards. Being able to scan the front and back of each card would be a welcome feature. Very impressiveFirst time user of the app and I must say, it is extremely user friendly, even for older collectors. It’s straightforward in scanning and adding cards, while also providing card buying options that, yes are still slightly above MSRP, but you don’t have to heavily overpay for products like you would on other markets or third party places. I love how easy it is to track my collection and see it grow. What might be helpful to add or update for the future is a way to see or track graded population numbers within the app. Knowing how many cards are graded at certain levels for a specific card might help collectors determine if they should seek out grading or keep their cards as “raw”. Great, except this one thing.The rare candy app is great, it’s definitely the most user intuitive collection app out there. The community aspect is very cool and they push that hard with this app. EXCEPT what I simply cannot believe is how social media focused this app is, that there is no feature to search for my friends or even view my followers/following!!!! Why add a community feature if I can’t add my friends and see their collections easily? Every time I update this app I hope the feature is added because it is such an obvious detail that is completely necessary for interacting with people. Great AppThis app has been a lifesaver! Easy and reliable! A few error hiccups here and there and some cards that I have been unable to find (exp Celebrations Pikachu #xx Jumbo), or it doesn’t pick up on reverse hollows and prices identified and prices it incorrectly. Perhaps this is just a user error though with lighting but I thought I’ve done alright… idk. Any tips? Anyway, the only other thing I might suggest if possible (and maybe it actually already exists and I’m missing it), adding the option scan the card then change it based on variability (reverse hollows, jumbo, etc. I assume this a lot of work and of I’m incredibly grateful the app is free. Love the look and scanner but collection GlitchesEasy to use app and really like how it lets you sort through cards after taking picture of your card if it didn’t grab the right one. Having a weird glitch since last update where I can’t click on to any card in my collection, the app just freezes. But you have to click into a card to see your value on graded cards. Heading In The Right DirectionThe app is not perfect, yet! I know we always want a fully complete free of errors program/app but unfortunately that is not how things work in real life. Love this app!I truly love Rare Candy. This app allows me to scan in any Pokémon card and find out not only more information on the card but also what the current value is, what amount it has recently sold for, let’s me save my cards into a digital collection to be able to reference easily later. There is also an insights portion of the app that tells me the total value of my collection as well as recommends what cards might be worth grading. I also love that even first edition cards are in the app as well as all of the newest cards. InstapacksJust because you hit a decent card from the instapack feature doesn’t mean it’s worth getting graded. I have 16 plus cards that I had shipped to me and 90% are not worth getting graded. It would be nice to have a way to see the exact card you are getting to help in making a better decision about keeping or trading in. For someone who has spent a bunch of money on this app opening packs, the cards look as if someone pulled them from packs and decided that they weren’t worth getting graded and so they just add them into the Instapacks. BEST COLLECTION TRACKEROmg!!! This is brilliant i’m so grateful this app exists. It’s everything ive needed and makes collecting a lot more fun. I’m able to scan my new cards I get and see how much they’re worth and with doing that I’m able to add it to my personal collection on my profile allowing friends to access my cards I want to show. There’s tons more things to do on the app such as browsing new collections that are in store and buying singles that can complete your collection. New, but ImprovingThis app is new and averaging out market values on cards is decent, in terms of accuracy. When it comes to finding specific types of promos and other unique cards. It struggles and searching is not fully optimized yet. Which makes it more taxing to create your collection. I usually use Collectr, but didn’t update that in a bit, so figured I start new. However, this app needs more time to mature. So, Collectr will be my primary for tracking my cards, inventory, and market value for now. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes. I love this app but I’m worried about its futureThey somehow have an industry leading card scanner it’s the best one by far for going through raw cards at speed, I like the marketplace feature too and the instant packs. The app is great but so many glitches the main ones being can’t scan slabs, and your collection needing the app to restart in order to update. It’s also super finicky when you want to add multiple of the same card. If they actually spend money and time into turning this app into the industry standard i think it could go places. Love It!I love this app! Unlimited free scans of cards and the vast majority of the time the scanner picks the correct card, rarely do I have to cycle through the similar cards to find the one I scanned. Super convenientSuch a great app! It has various tools for collectors and buyers (Eng/Jpn)!!! Love the fact you can create your own little portfolio that updates the prices live. It’s not perfect, such as some prices not being accurate, but it can’t always be perfect. It does give you the option to report the prices to be updated, which is nice to see and I’ve used. Good-ish scannerThe collection tracker is great. The prices are almost always exactly the same as other apps or sites, and they’re good for quick look ups at trade shows. The scanner is a little rough, though. It’s great that you can scan cards without it automatically adding to your collection, but it fails to properly scan about 1 out of 4 or 5 cards. Using the different zoom levels, changing the angle or altering the lighting conditions improves it, but not significantly. Almost greatLove the features of this app. Only issue I have is how wanted vs owned cards appear. If I mark as “want”, the image is so dark it is hard to view at a glance if I’m at a card show looking through my want list. The other issue I have is sometimes I can’t modify quantity in my collection so if I want to remove a card, many times the edit quantity option doesn’t come up so I can’t edit or remove a card from my collection. LOVE THE APP - WAS HOPING FOR A MULTI-WISHING FUNCTIONI've been collecting Pokémon cards since 2013, but | lost my binder (I think | donated it), so | started recollecting casually again in 2023. I was so excited to find this app where I could track my collection! The only thing I wish the app had is a way to create multiple wishlists, so I could organize my wanted cards by character. That way, when I go to a vendor show, I could pull up a specific character's wishlist and easily check if they have any of the cards I'm looking for. Other than that, I really like everything about Rare Candy. The app's Ul is very aesthetically pleasing and functional. PricingI’ve had plenty of my cards scanned and when it gives the grade worthy recommended I was sending them in to get graded but good thing I double checked the actual pricing. It said one of my cards was worth $1500, and when I clicked on the link to bring me to eBay it was the wrong set, card, and all the other cards it said to grade was also wrong. Not badIf you just plan on using the app for tracking your collection, it’s fantastic. They’re constantly releasing QOL updates that make tracking easier and faster. As a person with asd having an app that’s easy to use and understand is a huge thing and this app is amazing for that, it’s also free! After only 35 ish scans Collectr is asking for $$$ I’ve scanned/added in over 2000 Pokemon cards so far and not once has it cut me off or asked for $$!!! Really cool, a couple features away from being a stapleThe concept it amazing, but there is some very basic features I feel it is missing that would make it a must have for any Pokemon TCG collector. 1. Searching for friends, seems like a joke that this isn’t in, pretty self explanatory. Goes with my next point which is 2. Seeing your followers and following, again seems like it should be in. Right now this and 2 are possible by sending a link to your friends outside the app but that just isn’t convenient, you should be able to view someones profile in the app 3. Commenting on posts, just a nice social feature that I think would allow there to be more of a reason behind posting. 4. Messaging, this would have to pair up with point 3, but messaging is maybe the most important thing I said to add. Messaging would allow so much potential for trading between users, would be a complete game changer So ya that is 4 features I think need to be added to the app which would raise it to a 5 star for me. Needs serious improvementI heard about this app through an announcement he made on Facebook that came across my feed so I decided to give it a shot. I have already got my collection catalog in dex, and from what I have come to learn is that dex is far superior in its ease of use. I have over 20,000 cards that I need to scan and enter, but I can only scan one card variant with no discernible way that I see at least visible to me on the same screen that allows me to change the variant when I scan the card not to mention that the app crashed on me five times in the middle of scanning, and one time completely deleted an entire set after I had scanned it and had to re-scan to say that you want me to give you a five star review in an email is honestly laughable. Your app should prove itself and you should not have to send out emails saying to give five star reviews in order to maintain your review score your app should do that itself all on its own. Worst customer serviceThis app is straight a scheme. They have the same 5 vendors who control all the products. Their “drops” are literally all just a gimmick to make it seem like you can get a deal here. Reality is there are reasons you can’t rate sellers, contact sellers or leave reviews. It’s because all the sellers are the people who made the app. I contacted a selller who took 2 weeks to provide a shipping label on Instagram why my order was taking so long and they told me they don’t deal with there own customer service even though they’re providing the product. This is an app to trick people into buying over priced products. They’re also the only online platform that charges a “processing fee” in other words a commission for each sell. These processing fees should apply when I’m already over paying for the product, paying taxes and $9 for shipping it’s outrageous. Decent offers but customer service is completely unresponsiveI have ordered some items from Rare Candy and needed to cancel for emergency reasons as cash was needed back to help. I get no response whatsoever and they still go through. It’s disappointing, especially coming from a YouTuber I thought I could trust with good intentions but it’s just miserable trying to cancel orders, they make it as hard as possible to cancel even when no label has been created and it’s just going through as an item picked. It’s completely frustrating and seems like a tactic to get money no matter what. Horrible customer service/ scam2 months ago I bought cards from auction, 200 dollars worth. Gotten Bad LatelyI initially loved this app and would have given 5 stars if I wrote a review a month or two ago. I liked the features of this app more than Collectr and other alternatives. About two weeks ago, I noticed the UI became incredibly slow to the point that I have to reload the app multiple times to view my collection. Unfinished App, Shiny but not valuableI want to like this app, I enjoy some of the features like how easy it feels to scan in cards, and how collections are displayed. But under the hood it’s rife with missing or broken features. No ability to search for friends, limited card database and NO search function despite having a button and a prompt for it. I can’t properly add stamped cards to my collection despite having vastly different values. For some reason you don’t properly make an account and create a password you just always use your phone number to verify who you are which seems weird to me considering there’s a full out marketplaces with some big ticket purchases possible.
