Great game but not flawlessUpdate: I got my diamond back, so I raised my rating. I have been playing this game for some time now and have enjoyed it. It’s not perfect but it IS a great game. It has some beautiful designs for you to decorate and some not so much that are more challenging to make pretty. It’s easy to get coins to buy design items (rate other peoples designs), and you can watch videos every day to acquire diamonds to buy other design items, so you don’t HAVE to spend cash to play. My issue at the moment is that I bought some items with diamonds for today’s design, but when I submitted the design, the items weren’t on it, and it’s impossible to go back once submitted. Almost 3000 diamonds are gone, and I don’t have the items I bought. The game has some other minor glitches, but up till today nothing as severe at the stolen diamonds. I would still recommend this game if you like outdoor design..TankrdogVersion: 1.26.22

Fun but…I really enjoy this app. The only issue I have is that the rating of designs is confusing to me. There are designs that are rated 5 stars but are hideous and don’t seem to fit what descriptions say for the landscape. I don’t know if there is a starting number that is given based on the choices that is assigned by the app and then our voting is added or subtracted to that number or if the star rating is based solely on voting. I have seen designs use huge trees with large root systems as trees on rooftop designs and get high ratings. This is not possible. I know it’s a game but I thought the point was to use plantings that are able to thrive in whatever place they are being used. I have seen accents that are used that do not go with the decor at all and they get really high ratings. I feel like sometimes the high ratings are just because all of the extras are being used even if they do not go along with the design. If this is the case then it’s just so the developers can make more money. I have bought a couple of extras but I’m not going to do it just do I can add extras to get higher star ratings when I don’t think the extras are adding anything to the design. I wish I could be told exactly how the star ratings are calculated. Beautiful, I just wish there was moreI LOVE this game. It is sooo beautiful and relaxing. I love all the pretty plants and making things pretty. Everything about it is perfect, except one thing: there’s only one level (one garden) every four hours or so. Sometimes more! I wish there was a key system like in “design home” ( which is essentially the same but for indoors and much less pretty) where you earn keys as you vote on other’s creations and once you get so many you can pick and choose from a seemingly endless list of options. It keeps me more engaged, like I can really sit and play for a while while watching shows. It’s so much more fun that way. This feels like I’m constantly chasing the game which ends up giving me more anxiety than relaxation and it’s really truly taking away from the beauty that is this game. Please please please release more designs more often. I would even be buying more if I had more to play because I would be running out of resources! I want to play so much that I have no resources left . I want to binge 😆 I want to spend my evenings making beautiful gardens and watching comfort tv shows. But you’re really holding me back here. It WAS a joyI would have loved to give this game a 5, because it is worth a 5. It’s a pretty game, a teaching game about plants and flowers, a game where competition isn’t the main focus, and a very relaxing game. If it’s all that why would I only give it a 3? Well, let me tell you……at the end of each level you are given a lot of decorating gifts and flowers. Gifts are a lot of fun, right? Again, why? I played this game to Level 29. It took me a few months of daily play to get that far. When I reached Level 29 I got a message telling me that the Devs were working on making new levels. That was 2-3 weeks ago and it still hasn’t happened. They have added many new things that can be bought. There used to be a way to earn trees but that changed to earning surprises. Unfortunately my surprises were mostly the same and I now have to use coins or diamonds to buy trees. Now you can play on and on and no longer the Level Up gifts. They are now making many gardens where you need 2 trees, 2 benches, 2 decor items, 2 hanging items, etc. This uses up quite a bit of what you have on hand and sort of forces you into actually buying items in order to continue. I am going to play until the end of this month to see if these things improve, if not I’m going to delete the game..WykedwytchVersion: 1.22.20

Fun & easy way to learn about landscape plants & designsThis game is all about landscape designs. The daily challenges have no design requirements but the others do, which focuses the design colors or theme. You get feedback on submitted designs because the way to earn coins is to vote on a series of designs. All the plants have an info button & The Spruce provides the info. You don’t have to use it but this was my biggest draw as I wanted a fun way to identify landscape plants that I liked IRL. It is free & there is a way to earn both coins & gems but it’s hard to get perfect 5.0 score without spending a little money. They do put the designs of people with a similar experience level together and there is a way to vote for both designs if one isn’t significantly better, so that is totally fair. I would rate this game 5 stars if club members could talk to each other & if I could see what club mates used of my inventory like I can see who used my whatever. Just curious, using inventory in this way doesn’t actually use up anything and this is in fact a wonderful feature..QueenBubblesVersion: 1.25.19

NO Side Games? YAY!!!I have only started playing this game a few days ago, but I have only ever found one game that you can design without having to play a Side game for money, and/or mandatory ads. Or they’re cartoon games, that only allow you three options for each piece of furniture you place, Ugh, those are the worst.. I like this game because you get to design outdoor areas to your liking without all of the side junk getting in the way, they also have realistic features like butterflies flying around your yard; and realistic features such as flowing waterfalls, fire features etc., although they don’t have many options yet, due to the fact that they’re new, but I’m sure they will get more options soon. (my favorite design game started out with just a few designers, and now I can scroll through a massive list of designers to choose from, that would be on Design home, my all-time favorite game that I have been playing for around six or seven years now. Garden JoyThis really is a very relaxing and rewarding game. I enjoy every part of it especially learning about what plants grow in what climate conditions and just paying attention to what they pair nicely with is fun too. It actually has proven to me that I should consider taking this more into my real life. I’ve always loved gardening and fact is ppl have stopped randomly at my home just to take pictures of what I created this year as they do every year. Total strangers have done this. At first it was a bit odd but after awhile I took it as a great compliment bc there I was just enjoying myself. Getting outside of my own mind and living life as we all should. OkHere’s the scoop. Good game but it doesn’t tell you you have to have diamonds and gold coins to decorate rooms to fill the requirements. They should change that, or make it’s easier to get diamonds and coins. 2nd, I wish they gave you more of something when they gifted it to you. Like, when you reach a new level, they give you idk, 5 new laid back chairs. Well, make it 10 so it lasts longer! 3rd, I hope at some point you can add a feature where you can take a picture of a species and it adds it to your stuff that allows you to decorate. Right now, it has a thing called a nursery where you nurture plants, and I want to add a camera feature to that idea. 4th, this is not critical, but the art? Maybe more anime’s like or magical, not so fake real. The jaranda trees look real and fake at the same time! Other than that, not bad I guess. Best game I’ve foundThis game is so great. Challenging yet relaxing. A really great outlet for creativity. Rewards are easy to achieve and you can progress without spending real money. Graphics are excellent smooth play with zero glitches and bugs (for me anyway). Best thing is that you aren’t force fed ads. I had been searching for a gardening game and every one turned out to be something else ( like matching or merging). An ad for this game popped up on another game and I downloaded thinking that I was going to just immediately delete it because it wouldn’t be as it appeared in the ad but it is actually more than what I had expected. I’m Just Saying…Love decorating the different types of yards, patios, houses, resorts and businesses in different states and countries! It is very challenging and frustrating sometimes when a lot of your inventory gets blocked stating that “this item is too large, when it really isn’t”and you have to keep buying new items just to meet the certain specifications for a scene. That being said , I still enjoy this game. The downside is that your scene entries are judged by everyone else and many people are not talented enough to put two colors together that match to save their lives! As a result of their poor decorating abilities, your overall score rating keeps going up and down instead of you being able to reach a high rating and maintain it. I don’t write a lot of reviewsBut I’m here to say that I really enjoy this game. It’s all about design rather than playing side games to receive coins and diamonds. You get the coins by voting (which getting a good rating is the whole point of designing) and designing, and the diamonds you receive through leveling up, getting a rating of 4.0 or higher, and simply signing in once a day. I appreciate that you don’t have to watch ads and play a ton of mini games. Oh, and every level is super customizable, unlike a lot of other design games that only give you a few options. I love this gameI’ve been playing for about seven months now, and founded a small Facebook fan club for the game called Another Garden Joy Fan Club. We admire one another’s designs and talk about what we like. There’s some talk about real gardens now and then, too. We players asked for more round rugs and got them, so I know the devs listen. And remember that one time (I’ve only seen it once so far) when we could choose a pot and then a plant to put in it? I liked that. There are a lot of cool pots in the category. I recently began using Garden JoyI have been using Design Home for years. I have recently been using Garden Joy now also, but I’m having issues with this game. Right after I finish a challenge, an ad pops up and my game crashes. There has been times that I did not get the pay from the challenge. Can’t design due to lack of diamondsI’ve been reading reviews and I’m not the only one who has to submit empty designs because I can’t buy the extras…rugs, fountains, planters and such. I almost never get to put the things I that I want in because I don’t have the diamonds. Most designs are skimpy because of it. And I’ve started voting for designs that are empty because I understand how frustrating it is to want to make something beautiful but you can’t. Some flaws, but prettyYou don’t earn currency by reviews of your creations. You can only earn a max of 1000 coins per level but each level has specifics and you can’t afford any of the items for 1000 coins. You basically have to vote nonstop to earn coins and you only get 250 each time you do. There’s a lot more earning coins than playing games. Plus it takes like 5 minutes of loading time to even see your results. Besides that, it’s simple and pretty and fun. I really like this gameMy only issue is the game resets before you reach your maximum gifting bonus at the end of seven days. I have been on the game for weeks and every seventh day players are supposed to receive the larger bonus, which is cumulative for daily play. On the fifth day the bonus is reset, and will not allow to go beyond day five bonuses that is very disheartening and to be honest, I may stop playing simply, for that reason I love the fact, there is an option to join a real world treeplanting initiative through this game. Better than Covet Fashion and Design HomeThis game is fun, but also relaxing. I’m not even a big plant person, but I’ve been really enjoying the creative aspect! I really appreciate that there isn’t a “ticket” system like there is for similar games like Cover Fashion and Design Home, so you can enter events right away without having to vote in a bunch of rounds each time, and you’re able to get enough coins to buy the necessary items for each event pretty easily even without spending real money, which is never the case with other games. SuggestionsMore challenges, be able to favorite items, be able to file your designs and swipe through them, less city scapes and more wooded outdoor type gardens. Rainforests, cabins, huts, waterfalls, rain, night/dark scapes, plants that thrive on forest floors, carnivorous plants, country scapes. The whole section that shows closed challenges can be removed and replaced with something we can interact with. The nursery is underwhelming and I like the idea of collecting plants, but there’s so many plants and items on this game and I get rewarded the same flower all the time. A fun little garden game!I love plants and was looking for a fun little garden and landscaping game. I found it! This game is lots of fun and I personally enjoy learning a little about the plants too. All that the plants they include are all real species. FrustratedFrustrated on the fact that your items will just disappear after you just bought them. This has happened more than a few times. Also when you try to earn coins and diamonds by voting or watching commercials... the commercials wont play, aren't available or freezes or says come back later. I’m in love!I had never played a game quite like this one before. Yes, of course, I’ve played the multiple choice decorating games but I’ve never had to choose each item on my own. Select the colors, styles, materials, etc. and I’m so pleasantly surprised because I’ve found that I’m not half bad with my choices. Items disappearI’ve really enjoyed playing this came, it is very relaxing. Unfortunately, the items you purchase with coins or diamonds always disappear! It’s so frustrating because they only stay on for a day or two and then poof gone and you have to purchase this again. It has happened with all the items I’ve purchased. Coffee table glitchI have been enjoying this game a lot but recently noticed that some designs have a weird LARGE white box on top of their coffee tables. I thought maybe it was a weird coffee table until I got one of my designs back, scored really low, with a LARGE white box on top of the coffee table. I did not use the coffee table and an note thinking it’s a glitch of the decorative element on the coffee table. It significantly hurt my score as I’m sure it has hurt the score of others with the same glitch. Wonderful but super super glitchy gameI can’t tell you how much I love this spectacular game, but it is beyond glitchy. I will click an item to place it and the game can take several minutes to load the item. Support places the burden on the user with suggestions that do not help, even when you spend real money in the game, and don’t even offer free gems to compensate for your trouble. I hate to complain , BUT……I just started playing a couple of days ago, and have enjoyed it. However, I’ve hit a problem, and this seems to be the only place I can ask for a fix. Had finished the Nepal garden, including the required white variegated plants (one large, one small) that I bought from the list that came up with those filters. Oddly, many of the flowers weren’t white. I double checked, and these were the flowers that kept coming up. I bought Lilly of the Valley, which to my knowledge is always white, and one other whose name I forget, but it sure looked white. Now I can’t submit the design because it says I haven’t met the white flowers requirement. Immediately after I purchased and placed the flowers, it accepted them. Amazingly beautiful and calmingRealistic plants in beautiful settings. Easy to use and so addictive!! I want to visit all of these spaces irl!! I also love the voting aspect, not so much a competition, and you get to see other people’s creativity and style- so cool. There are a few things I don’t understand: When given directions for a new adventure, there’s times when we don’t have a specific required item in our inventory and we can’t purchase the item, what are we supposed to do? There have been a couple of times where I attempted to place required items - 2 pink flowering bushes for example - 1 was placed and nothing else will work. I have purchased items to meet that goal out of the selection provided and none have matched. Again what are we to do? These are the only things I don’t understand. Great gameSo far, I’m really enjoying the game. They are generous with diamonds and money and the spaces are well thought out and fun to design. The only drawback is that items are pretty expensive which is why I guess they give a higher number of diamonds than similar games. Even small plants are well over a thousand dollars. MehhIf I buy a pack or pass I should always have access to the items, even if I need to use coins/gems to refill it. Really enjoy this app.I generally think this is a great app, and would have given it 5 stars, but on my iPad after designing for a while the screen stops moving so I can only see the first row of either the owned or store items, so that’s all I can use. I end up with not-great items because I can’t get to the ones I want. Very annoying. And there’s another glitch where, after I’ve been playing for a white, it suddenly jumps out of the app to the main screen, and you have to go back into it to continue. That sometimes happens several times. I can play it on my phone, but then the pictures and descriptions are so small it’s hard to get a real overall view. I’d also like to see more on how it’s scored. I spend time finding plants native to the area, etc. and get a so-so score, while someone with plants that would never be found in that location gets a 5. The best design game availableI played most design games and it’s always the same: you have to play little games within the app to get enough diamonds or special money. It’s always filled with ads and the graphics are clunky or lacking variety. This game is SO much fun and easy to use. They give you diamonds and enough money to buy nice items. There are no ads, no in-game puzzles and the graphics are top notch. I do wish there was a subscription to give you access to all items in the catalog because I pay money here and there to have diamonds and they go by fast. I would love to have the option to have music available in the game. Something ambient and relaxing or spa inspired. Issues with the gameOverall this is relaxing and I like it but they could use to add some things to it to make it work better. I was doing a design and had added the wishing well in one of the spots and then tapped on another and it added a wishing well to that spot too and I didn’t want one in the other spot so when i went back to tap it again to remove it like you do on all the others it would not remove it, it was removing all the other things around it so i went to where the other one was and tapped on it and it would not remove either just the other plants or things around it would be removed frustrating to want to change one or two of the items or remove it and cant. They should really have a clear icon for people to be able to clear it all out and restart the process again when they are unable to tap the icon to remove it. So i had to submit my design with two wishing wells in it that looked goofy and now gonna not get a good score because the game would not work it was like that item was froze, even tried shutting off my phone and restarted it to see if that would work and nothing. Then there is not even a way to report issues with the game or app without exiting the game or app. Please fix. Too slow at adding to the game im getting bored with it already been at the end of all the levels for months now, they can add new designs but they cant add new levels. MONEY GRAB: NOTHING CHANGES...GJ is fun… for awhile. But voting system and the fact that they just re-use the same layouts over and over eventually takes the fun out of it. You have to spend money to buy items and the more items you have/buy the more the algorithm will put your garden up for voting. Also, the game creates scenarios where the player HAS TO use all these specific items, which of course, more items=more money. There are gardens with just tons of mismatched junk everywhere and some gardens with almost nothing and yet both get almost a score of 5 (the best score) bc they are in the most rotation. And bc the player is forced into voting on one or the other and can’t vote no on both, the people who spend more $$ and use more get way better scores than the rest. And not for nothing, GJ just re-uses the same layouts over and over again, which after awhile playing, you recognize and it becomes boring. Not what I expectedI saw an ad for this game that said you can design your own gardens, but that’s not exactly how it works. The game pretty much forces you to design things a certain way. There’s requirements you have to check off before you can submit your design and if you don’t have any of the required items, you have to buy them- either with coins or diamonds and you only get a few of those items, they aren’t even unlimited so you have to repurchase them when you run out! It’s easy in the beginning, but the more you play, the more money/diamonds you are forced to spend until eventually you run out and can’t complete or submit any more designs. You can vote on other people’s submissions, but you don’t make nearly enough to continue because they cap how much you can earn in a day. Maybe I’m missing something, but the only way I see how you could possibly continue playing is to spend real money. The Voting is Rigged and takes The Joy out of the gameThis game would be perfect except for the inexplicable voting system which penalizes you by denying prizes. I could care less about the scoring, which is ludicrous, but greatly resent not getting the reward. If you get a 3.99 or lower you get nothing. Day after day I get three scores in a row- two 3.99 or under, and one perfect 5! How is this possible? I have complained repeatedly to the developers who say the voting is done by players . Your design is compared randomly with one other for the entire voting process, allegedly. If this is true , how can both designs often end up with scores BOTH below a 4, and conversely, BOTH end up with a perfect score of 5 ? Even I know this is mathematically impossible and obviously rigged to deny the rewards and force you to spend money. FrustratedI downloaded this game a while back and I really liked it but it kept shutting down every few minutes and I’d have to restart it over and over again and it lagged when putting items in the design and while scrolling to choose an item.
