I opened it up and it was going pretty smooth. I made an account and watched some videos on the basics of shading and stuff. I started with the first level and it was amazing how this app really transformed the drawing (which was a panda because it’s basic or whatever). I was very happy with how my panda turned out. So I went and took a picture of my drawing and saved it to the journal on the app where you log your art. I went to continue with the next drawing (so by the way, when you make your account, you can choose to draw either animals, nature or cartoons. You have to buy a membership to do the cartoons and the nature, but I was fine with doing animals anyway. I thought this was the last I would see of the membership stuff.) so anyway, when I went to continue with the next drawing, a giraffe, an ad popped up for the membership again. Read it and thought about getting it someday if I stared using the app more. So I closed it. But it turns out, you can only continue using the app if you buy the membership!!!! What the heck!? I am very angry and I immediately removed the app from my homescreen. And the membership is 100 dollars, no joke!!! UGH! It seems like every reasonable drawing app I find does this! OMG!! 10/10!This is sooooo amazing! 🤩 ok here’s the story so one day I said mom can I get another game on my iPad she said “yes pick it out” I said “thanks!” So I saw an add on my other game that said SimplyDraw will help to draw do step-by-step or work or whatever like yeah mom can I get this one well of course she said “yes” so then I sent a request to her. And she approved it. I’m like yeah!! Well today, I went on that the app the really first time I actually played it so I was like yeah I’m getting kind of bored and I have to put my iPad up in like 10 minutes so I guess I’m gonna draw cause I don’t really like count as my iPad time. So I was like oh yeah, I said like it was gonna give me a tutorial or something, and it said the same thing that it said on the add. So then it showed me how to draw it a fish and then it literally came out so good that I’m literally gonna do another one soon and this is the day that I’m writing the review on the first day. I played it in the day that I made the fish. So like the fish is the first thing I made. So I’m a second grader it’s I can’t really draw that good so it came out like one of the best things I’ve ever done except for this thing that did an art class in October for Halloween. So it taught me how to shade and draw pacific shapes. So I think it’s just it’s just so good!! So like I was saying, I’m writing the review that the day I made the fish so I am going to do more soon! Hate yet I love it ?! ( please read whole thing . . this app is great.I’m happy I let my daughter try this hat out. She absolutely loved it at the end session. She loved her fish. She didn’t do the same exact thing as him but pretty much. She always loves it so much she tried to draw a gingerbread with her grandma to make some invites and she worked. I’m really happy that it worked for her and that she’s doing good with it. She used to only be drawing stick figures but then she got really mad with her figures so she showed me this app when she was playing a little slime glove game and I let her get it because I wanted her to get better at drawing and be happier with her drawings I’m really happy that she got to do the stuff and that she got to start drawing a new and cool stuff she colored her drawing once and messed up but in one video he said it’s OK to mess up you can restart she remembered that and she restarted she finished her drawing perfectly fine and it looked amazing. Really good😊😃 but a few thingsOk everyone is saying " they don't have enough drawings" to expensive " and if your like me I downloaded it anyway to try it out😂I opened the app and saw the first lessen titles shading ( I did have to set up an account pretty quick though) I did the first lesson and it was sepperated into parts like pencil shades gradient an practice I did all of those and it told me to take a picture of my work and i did and then it litterly gave me feedback which i thought was pretty dang cool anyway I clicked on the first animal lesson because I wanted to do animals and it was a panda I did the lesson and it turned out amazing and I was so surprised by my own work I was about to give this game a five star review because like FREE MY FRIENDS and than I clicked on the next lesson ( a giraffe) and it said I have to pay. Super EasyI’ve always been a huffle puff watching my husband draw and him making it look so easy. I’ve tried the “how to draw” workbooks from Target and I honestly thought my creative skills were hopeless because I was failing miserably. I happened upon simply draw and thought I would see if there was any hope for me learning just the basics. My first intro lesson was a fish and I’m thrilled with how it turned out. I guess it’s true, you really can teach yourself how to draw. You just have to find what works for you. Simply Draw is it for me. If you want to learn how to draw or just learn to doodle better, I highly recommend this app. Major bonus…If you’re a doom scroller this app is great for breaking that habit. Wherever it is you like to scroll make sure to keep a pad of paper and a pencil nearby. When you get the itch to open TT or other social app open simply draw and get immersed into learning a new skill and at the same time you’re kicking a really bad habit. Read if you’re gonna buySo, I was really bored and I’m really bad at trying so I went into the App Store and saw simply draw so I’m like OK let’s try this so I purchased it and it’s free so yeah and then I went in and it showed you like a couple videos and samples of what you’re gonna do and then it got into the first drawing so the first drawing was a panda and I was like OK cool this sounds awesome so I did it and I was really impressed Also, AI gives you feedback about the picture about it after that it gave you a journal to keep your drawings in because you take a picture and then put your drawings in the journal so you got another choice saying like would you like to do some other drawings of other stuff and it had the options of cartoons or nature I chose nature because it was really cool but then I clicked on it and it said you have to have a membership so I’m like OK. Pls read before gettingOk so this app is great and all, there is nothing about it that I wouldn’t change. The tutorials are good, the way they help me understand how and what to do next is really helpful. Again nothing I would change about it. But on the reviews it said you wouldn’t have to take the trial and and you could still use simply draw the way it is. But when I got done finishing my first drawing. It asked me if I wanted to pay this much money for this many months. Of course I did not want to pay the money and neither did my parents. SimplyDraw is the bestI used to hate drawing because I was never really good at it. I could never draw panda or ever draw my favorite things. The only thing I could draw was apples, flowers, hearts, and stars, but today things would change if you’re a bad joke that you can prove your drawings like learn how to shade because shading is kind of hard or learn how to make your drawings look more realistic SimplyDraw is the app for you, it’s a app for everyone if you are a terrible joke or you just need some help simply Draw is the best app for you simply darted you step-by-step instructions and they always give you time. I wish it didn’t cost money.I love this app. The tutorial was so fun and it gives you step by step instructions on every drawing. It teaches you so much about art and your art will improve so much on every lesson. It let me draw an acorn on the nature path for free but then if I wanted to keep doing simply draw I had to pay! I'm a 12 year old who gave up drawing completely a few years ago and this app truly helped me revisit drawing! I am astounded by the quality of the app. But, you may be wondering why I gave it only 3 stars. Well, it's because up the subscription. Me and my sister have a lot of IPad subscriptions and the one in this app is quite pricey. I wish that this incredible app had free access to everyone who wants to start their learning journey like me. Money Scam.I know, I know, you are probably asking “why is it a scam?” or “How would a drawing game be a scam?”. Well, I have a couple reasons. First off, when you download the game it seems fun and a great way to pass time. Or so you think. You go on to draw a beautiful and unique fish learning the basics of shading, then you finish with an amazing fish. You go to take a picture and snap a grate photo of your fish. Now let’s say you have big fins because the guy giving you a tutorial told you to be creative! You snap a photo and all the AI system got was some ruffs of the now sad fins and no tail, telling you only your shading was great. That is my first complaint which is super annoying to me. Then, upset you put it in the library hoping there is a way to retake the photo for feed back and edit the bio. Now the guy with the tutorial tells you to draw a panda! Great! The panda you saw in every ad! You press the arrow button to start and it gives you an odd message. Not just any message. A subscription page. You look at the top right corner and see a bolt like bar with a zero. You have to pay to learn to draw on an app with ads saying it was FREE. Not only do I have to pay but for a drawing app? I am only giving it 5 stars because it might pop up somewhere you can see first. *1 star* If you want to pay thats okay but for $80 a year is just a waist. Just SadI downloaded this app a few months ago after seeing an ad for it. I’ve used of Simply Piano in the past and thought it was a good way to teach people to play piano without having the need for an expensive teacher. I was a little disappointed that I could only do this one, but I figured I could learn a thing or two while waiting for the other lessons to show up. Months had passed, and it still said coming soon. The other courses were completely gone, and the only one was the nature course. I was annoyed that for sure the other courses would never show up, but I decided to give it another chance. Just why…I saw this app in an ad, and it looked so good… so I downloaded it… when I opened it for the first time, it was awesome! So far, so good… right? My opinions, and why it’s too childishSimply draw is a good professional app, that teaches you how to draw. I found it to be way too childish and annoying. It also bothers me that they’re teaching you too become overly reliant on a reference, there’s a reference for everything. Of course references extremely useful, but they shouldn’t copied as intensely as they are in app, and you should use multiple. Also you’re not helping kids build a style, for the animal and nature paths, it’s just realism. For the characters path, it’s a bit better but it still struggles. I also feel like there’s such a lack of color, everything is just in pencil. Kids should be exposed to new mediums (if they have it) and figure out what they like. I think this app is good for ages 4-10, as soon as you get into the preteen area you just feel talked down to. My last thing is that I think if you ask right away what level you're at, it would be a lot better.
