Simply Sing helped me learn to live againThis is the greatest app I’ve used in a very long time. I initially got it to help my daughter who is autistic learn to read better by singing along because she really loves music. I got insist of singing as well. I never thought I would be able to really sing because I had some issues with my voice in the past. In the year, 2000 I completely lost my voice for two years due to acid reflux. I truly never thought I would be able to sing because I also have scarring on my vocal cords from multiple surgical procedures for my knees. I’ve also had three surgical procedures on my vocal cords to try to alleviate the scarring. Wow, with family over Thanksgiving I experienced catharsis. Since then, my singing has become dramatically more powerful. Prior to Thanksgiving when I was saying, and I will let my wife listen to it. She called it torture because my voice was just monotone flat because I wasn’t able to feel the music. But since Thanksgiving, I have been able to sing beautifully with a lot more emotion and feeling been able to carry notes that I never thought I would be able to do to the fact that I had vocal cord issues. I highly recommend this app if you truly want to learn to sing or even if you want to do it just for fun. I am even willing to give a video testimonial to show how much this app has changed my life..LissdanVersion: 2.2.9

I enjoy the app BUT it does have its drawbacks.First off, I really enjoy this app. I find that the “training” for the song has already great improved my pitch and range throughout one hour of using it, and the ability to adjust the pitch of the song has helped me move from thinking I was Alto to realizing I was a Mezzo! However, the app does have some drawbacks. First, the obvious problem with the fact that it appears to be free until after you’ve given it your voice. In my opinion, that’s a little shady, as it’s having people give their voice to an AI without telling them that the actual point of the app is paywalled. Second, there isn’t an option for a full song, which is frustrating at best. I like the fact that it’s just a smaller section until I have the time/want to sing the entire song, which the app doesn’t allow. I wish this would change so you can choose a clip or full-song. Lastly, the lack of variety in songs was disappointing. I was really hoping for musicals to be included, only to find only one song from highschool musical… I hope they greatly expand their library, and maybe they should even give you the option to upload a song of your choice (as long as it doesn’t affect any copyright issues). It’s pretty good but there are glitchesWell… it’s a really good app I have to admit. But for me I get I few glitches and I can’t scroll and I’m pretty sure it’s a problem with the app because every other app on my phone is working fine. But otherwise, it’s really REALLY helping me with my voice, and it can check how high your voice can go and there is six and I am the fourth which is alto. And this really helps me see when I am going too high or too low and how high I SHOULD go. And it picks the right song for me! This is really a good app! And it can really help you improve your singing so I recommend it. But just it Needs a few glitch fixes and it’s like 6 out of five stars! Somehow the app got worse…I first downloaded this app a year ago as I was trying out different apps to learn to sing better. This one did what I wanted — showed me the notes, lyrics, and my pitch while singing, as well as providing lessons. It was pricey, but I considered it worth it, despite the smaller selection of songs (at least they were good!!) but I got through the lessons available and it said there were more coming… but after two months of waiting, it didn’t seem as though there would be anymore lessons. I stopped paying because it wasn’t worth the price without new lessons. I decided to check out the app to see if there were new lessons and get some singing practice in, so I resubscribed today. Only to find out that features I LOVED about this app were gone!! You used to be able to slow down or speed up the song so you could take the time to learn it, or just go at a different pace. But they’ve removed that entirely — and I don’t even see mention of the removal or why. Also, the app is buggier than before — i try to play a song and it only shows the song as playing at the bottom of the screen, but won’t let me enter the sing along mode — the whole point of the app, and what I am paying for! And they’ve redesigned the app, and it looks closer to an app I might have downloaded in the early 2010s than the clean design it had last year. All of these downgrades, AND they haven’t even added a single lesson. It’s pretty disappointing. I feel mislead.I wanted to try out this app, out of curiosity, to see what it was all about. Upon downloading it, I took the vocal test and told me give me my my results. Things seemed normal until I went to go look for a song to sing along to. I clicked on a song and it told me I had to upgrade the premium. I tried about five different songs and it also said the same thing, I went to the Q&A box to see what songs were free. It basically said that I can sing any song I’d like, but I had to pay for all of them. Which meant that you couldn’t do anything except take the test for free. I understand the money must be made from an app and it did say there was in-app purchases, but I was never advertised that basically the entire app is what you paying for. I thought it was more like premium songs or something that was an add on. I thought you’d be at least to be able to sing a few selected songs, but there was not a single song I could sing towithout having to pay for everything. I just feel it could be marketed a little better. At that point just make it a pay to download app because unless you just wanna figure out your vocal range, there’s nothing free that you can really do. I got mad so which is why I gave it two stars because it told me that but then when I went to actually like play a song you know like seeing it it wouldn’t let meand then I was like googling like how do I get this to work and it kept showing like oh you just press it and then it’ll show you the words so you can sing it so I did that and it Work and then I did a little bit more research showed the same stuff so eventually I went back to the app and it was like you have to pay to do it. ConfusedOk, this looks like a good app. Well, I downloaded simply guitar and love it and am progressing quickly, and I was like:”well I like singing and kinda can play piano so I’ll get simply piano and sing” so I learned I was a soprano and was like:”aw yeah!!” But then I tried to do vocal exercises and it said I needed the family plan to connect all apps, which makes no sense in my opinion bc my family doesn’t want to do simply piano guitar or sing so I got the individual plan for simply guitar. So im already paying like 20 or something per month on simply guitar and that’s a lot for an app, so why can’t if I have the individual plan I be able to connect piano and guitar with access to do everything like I can on simply guitar. Im very confused and this doesn’t make sense to me, since no one in my family wants to do these apps why do I have to get family plan to do these? I don’t want to get individual plans for each either. The vocal analysis is BS5 stars so the review doesn’t get buried. I was curious about my vocal range. I like to sing and karaoke sometimes and I was curious about my actual vocal range. I’m a cis female, but my favorite songs to sing are from bands that have a baritone or baritone tenor male lead singer, Corey Taylor, Ivan Moody, Brad Arnold. I do not sing in a higher octave, I sing at the range of those singers, which is why I’m comfortable singing their songs. I thought the app would let me know what my actual range was, like how many octaves I could sing in. When I was setting up my profile, when it asked how would you describe your voice, I selected male. I thought they wanted to know how you would describe your voice, not what gender you are. I did the voice analysis and got tenor. I noticed my avatar was a guy, so I was curious if I could get a male range if I selected female. So I created a new profile, selected female and did the voice analysis, but this time I tried to find my inner Johnny Cash. Big surprise, I got alto. I even started the analysis over, still alto. I deleted my profile and tried a third time. I selected male and this time tried to find my inner Mariah Carey. I got tenor this time. Stupid..Maps oVersion: 2.7.0

So… what am I allowed to do??I got this app knowing there would be in store purchases HOWEVER I didn’t know the only thing that would be free is figuring out I’m an alto. I was not aware I can’t use any of the songs unless I pay for a subscription. Now I could be in the wrong, not seeing if it says that before installing the app. But I am disappointed. I got the app because it was free just to find out all I can do is find out I’m an alto and then just figure it out from there or pay. Again, I could’ve missed something but I would’ve personally rather have paid for the app and then have everything within it, maybe excluding some “special features” be free. I cannot say whether the app itself is good or bad considering I didn’t really even get to do anything but for what I got too before getting hit with needing to pay, it’d you just need an app to tell you what your range is, I think it’s on point. But if u want a completely free app to sing songs in your range as it advertised, I would not recommend unless you’re ok with paying for everything. Needs better advertisementObviously every free app isn’t actually free. Nothing is free in this world. Don’t expect going in to this app that it’s free, it isn’t. This app still needs a lot of developing. Also especially better ads. The ads barely give you any information on the actual app. All I am saying don’t expect this app to be like the ads. The ads barely demonstrate the app well enough. Well I get that their ads giving less descriptions helps sales, but it’s harmful for kids not talking about the price. Some kids I know who downloaded this app like my cousin went it to the game thinking it was free. And once she got in and saw the whole subscription thing she clicked it without thinking. Great app but a few suggestionsI downloaded this app to get better at my singing I am in a choir and does theater, so I wanted to train my voicebto get better. The intro was awesome andbi understood it but after the intro it went down hill for me. I am syill in school and living with my parents so I am not allowed to have subscriptions in apps. When it opened up the library I couldn't play any song, I wish that you could unlock songs with either adds (I don't really care for adds unless they are right in the middle of something) or we start off with a few songs and by doing them really good or playing more songs you would be able to unlock them. Second I can't practice my lip and mouth movements because I need a subscription to do so. I would rather have the same things as u said earlier unlock with adds or songs. WHOA! 🤯I really like this app because it truly helped me find my vocal range and it was honest to where I had different set tones to test out at first and then told me what category I’m suppose to be singing in. I know my pitch its really high & squeaky, especially when I’m excited about something, I tend to get louder and higher. So I know it’s super annoying when I talk to people. Then they always avoid wanting to talk with me. So for me, knowing the vocal range has helped me to mimic those who ARE in my range that way I can always sing songs in on that level. If I was to ever change the way I speak now FOREVER, I don’t think people would know who I am. LOL! Because when I automatically speak, my voice is noticeable and they’ll automatically guess it’s me off the bat. So THANK YOU for helping me with this! Really good app but read this before you downloadI saw this on an ad for when I was playing another game and it looks really cool because I love singing and I really want to start being professional way more professional so I download it and thinking that you know I will just have vocal exercises and that I could do any song I would like but you have to pay for almost every single song that you want. You have to pay for premium to get any song and the only thing that is free is the lesson that comes the first thing and then after that you have to pay for almost everything I write this maybe three out of 10 but I would definitely recommend buying it but then don’t pay for premium because then you’ll have to pay $10 a month and I do not recommend that I thought it was just gonna be everything free but no, I thought wrong so don’t download this app unless you wanna play $10 for a a few songs don’t download it unless you want to pay $10. Really fun app! (But still needs some updates)I downloaded this app because I find singing as a hobby and I saw it in an ad recently. It looked cool enough so I decided to try it out. It placed me as an alto, which I didn’t know because I’m not a song genius really. But I sang a couple of songs and really liked it! It adjusts the song to your range so that you can sing it easily. Which I find convenient. But there are a couple of things I would like updated on the app. I know many people have already stated this, but I think searching up songs would really help people to find certain songs that they want to sing. Also, I know maybe this isn’t the biggest deal but I still wanted to include it. As mentioned earlier, I was an alto based on the app. But there were definitely a lot of low notes that I couldn’t reach on most songs. I know it isn’t their fault but it was just something that caught my eye. Overall though, this is a really nice app for karaoke and I love that it was free to download and there were no subscriptions. Probably greatI really enjoyed the instructional style, and feel like I could benefit from this app. I do wish there were a selection of free songs that you are able to sing all of the way through, or a small number of songs, with the live feedback included for free. For example, 5 free songs of your choice before being charged, or a library of less in demand songs that you could practice with. As it is now, I am wary of committing, because it only provides instructions and feedback on little snippets of songs, and you don’t get a choice of what those songs are. Additionally you never get to try out the program on an entire song, so it’s difficult to determine if the app. would continue to help me progress. I absolutely understand that the developers need to make a living, and feel like the price is fair, if the quality of instruction is as good as it is in the free demo. But without the ability to sing several songs through to try it out, I won’t be subscribing. Why do you have to pay for it???I downloaded this app thinking it’d be a fun way to get better at singing and a way to challenge myself to get the pitch right on my favorite songs. I go through the entire intro and go to sing a song and I get bombarded by a screen telling me I have to pay $120 bucks for ‘full access’ to be able to sing the song. Here I am thinking ‘dang, that’s a bummer. Oh well, I’ll find a different song.’ But NO, you can’t sing ANY of the songs without full access. This app used to be free, apparently. Why did they change it? At least have SOME songs that are free! This is one of the only apps I can find (since I’m a stinky Apple user) that has this format (where it listens to you sing and shows you if you’re too high or low and also lets you adjust the range of the song). Wish I didn’t have to buy premium to singI love this app and the beginning coaching is great, but there are some downsides. 1 not all of the coaching is free and after a little bit you have to start paying if you don’t then you can’t keep with the coaching . 2 Once you unlock the ability to sing the songs from the song library, you actually cannot sing the songs in the song library unless you get premium. I’m not 100% sure if it is always been like this, but based on other reviews, I believe that it used to be totally free. I don’t want to tell you how to run your business, but I would suggest making a free again because it would help a lot of us out on most apps premium is an option. It is not necessary to use the app properly and it’s only for people who want a better experience. Good but not goodThe reason why I said it’s not good is because they’re letting you pay it when they say that is for free and a lot of little kids are playing in. It even asked you to say why are you doing this and it also asks your age so I don’t know why they are saying you need to pay when little kids or big kids or any age are you trying to play this game but you’re making us not to not play the game. Just a suggestionI just started your app. I think the price for premium membership is more than fair, and I think your lessons are much more thorough than those that I started doing on Yousician. your price is also much more reasonable. However, the song that is being used to initially test my vocal range is Shallow by Lady Gaga. i’ve never heard this song before and, although you provide the lyrics, I have no idea what the melody is or where it’s going. How can the app accurately test my vocal range if I don’t know what I’m singing? I understand that to access the songs in your app you have to purchase a premium subscription. That’s totally fine, but for the range testing song, it may be more prudent to provide say a list of 10 songs for customers to choose from when testing their vocal range. I’m now having to go onto Apple Music to listen to this song over and over just to learn it to test my vocal range I have to admit, that’s kind of annoying, especially since I honestly don’t like this song. Good but I got a few thingsOk so to start at #1 I got this app thinking ohhh everything is free and I can sing my heart out without having to ask my parents to pay for an app but I get it and do the tutorial and after they show all these songs but not a single one is free. So I get upset and try and find another app. #2 the app has not as many songs as I would have liked. I could not even find one Taylor song or even a full Olivia Rodrigo song. I search up one of the songs in the tutorial and I wasn’t there. I then search up my dad and moms favorite song and not there. Some substantial technical issuesI like the concept and the overall presentation is great. But the range detection based on speaking voice is inaccurate. I am a tenor. Speaking first said I was a baritone a d when I tried again reading in a higher tone it actually said I'm a bass. After completing lessons to unlock songs and buying a subscription I was on my 3rd song when it forced me into the 'hands free' mode and made me select 3 songs but then had no way for me to return from that to the main program short of quitting and restarting. When I select a song and choose a range it is ignored and the song always begins at the range the app wants me to use, and if I make any change in the range after the song has started it shuts off the mic and will not give me a score.I also found it very off-putting that the very first song it chose for practice was one that I hate, with no option to choose a different song or skip. Finally, it has performance issues, freezing up on my iPhone 14 pro whenever I change screen orientation. It's a HUGE battery hog, quickly draining power even in low power mode..NeploxoVersion: 1.12.5

Simply Sing: My Singing App Negative Reviews

Incorrect pitch issues, and songs play out of timing.You will be more frustrated than anything else. As if learning to sing wasn’t hard enough already, now you will be battling the app the whole time with incorrect note identification and poor timing between the vocals and the music. If the app was free then okay. But to pay monthly/yearly to have notes not register correctly, leaving you annoyed instead of uplifted from singing is not going to keep people wanting to learn. I bought a year subscription and I literally deleted the app after 2 weeks because the timing and the note identification made it impossible to have any accurate or consistent feedback. I was developing bad habits trying to get notes to register which really defeats the purpose. Here is more detailed examples: It says I’m a bass when I’m clearly a tenor. You can adjust the vocal range when singing but it seems to then adjust the notes I sing as if I am a bass. Everything I would sing, that were clearly in key, always registered too high since it thought I was a bass and wouldn’t change. The other thing I didn’t enjoy was i was 90% accurate when I first started the app, and then after 2 weeks of daily practice the best score I could get was like a 77%. I either got worse, which I don’t think, or the app incorrectly registered the notes I sang. Too freaking expensiveThe intro tutorial does not do much for the desire to want to purchase this. Especially in a $20 price range. Unless you’re one of those everybody gets a trophy person this app is not for you. You can do the same thing with other apps. It is not worth $20 a month regardless of the licensing that we would be charged to use the app. There are free apps out there that do the same thing, but does not have an automated person talking to you about generic improvements. You would think they would at least make a lite version that comes with a curated list of free songs. A lot of apps are able to do that as well. Also, if you subscribe to Apple Music, you already have the feature to drop the vocal out, no, you can’t drop the vocal range. But if you’ve purchased the song, those very same apps, will let you do it for free by giving it access to the iTunes library on your phone. Why pay for temporary access to a majority of songs that you’re not going to sing or songs that you do not even like. This app is using the same API, that Apple uses for their music and it cost more than Apple Music. Like I said, that price range you can hire someone to be a vocal coach monthly and yes, that price range does exist for great vocal coaches. No.Im a choir kid and my choir class only has alto and soprano and I can’t hit the notes of an alto or soprano so when I tried this app it made me feel better because theres a definition for what I am. It said I was a mezzo and I was glad. But I don’t know who Alicia keys is. Like yeah I know of her but I don’t listen to her music like whatsoever. It has us choose what artists we like but doesn’t let us sing them. I didn’t even see a search bar. I saw and add for it on TikTok and I knew it would be helpful for me. I opened the app and the demo was just amazing. The ai thing to put songs in your range made me feel good. When I finished the demo I saw a song we were singing in choir but got pay walled. Looked at other songs and those were pay walled too. I was also confused why everyone was waiting it 5 stars but I figured it was from the in-app notification. In general, or to sum up everything, it’s like when you’re watching the first season of a show but then you get to season 2 so you stop watching it. This app COULD be great—but it’s notAs a semi-professional singer, I recognize that we can all use some help improving our instrument. The concept of this app is fantastic and sold me based on the advertisements. First of all, beyond the 20-min tutorial, absolutely nothing is free. So I decided to gamble $10 for one month to see what unlocked. The songs, while customizable to your voice range, have to EACH be customized—the songs were always intuitively set WAY too low for my alto voice. Not all altos can sing the low-low notes. Next is the singing interface. A click beat behind the music would be helpful with staying on beat with some of the more free flowing instrumentation. Next comes my review of the pitch identifying portion of the app. Notes that I’m fairly certain were on pitch were flagged as off pitch, and ONLY when I sang very straight and lifeless was I able to achieve proper pitch results. This does NOT help someone become better as a singer, it only helps people beat an app game. In fact, my voice felt very stressed after doing a couple songs in my proper range because of this. There also does not appear to be any real singing technique tutorials, short of breathing exercises. Cool app, impenetrable paywall.The little bit I was able to use this app, it was really cool. The vocal range adaptation is really great and needs to be focused on more in other softwares like this imo. I was enjoying myself until I hit the impenetrable paywall this app presents you with after 3 lessons in less than 10 minutes and no trial songs. You might think, “oh but there is still some stuff to do right?” and sure, you can repeat the same 3 intro lessons over and over again to your heart’s content. There are a total of ZERO songs that you can try before you have to pay for their entire library of songs for at least $10 (and that’s only for a month). The closest you get to singing along before the paywall blocks your way, is the just chorus of 1 song. The whole point of this app is for you to learn how to sing by singing along with your favorite music, adjusted to your vocal range. It makes zero sense to me why you would advertise that part of your product so much, present a free trial for testing said product, and then not provide a way for people to actually try it out before they buy. Terrible experienceI saw an ad for this app on TikTok and I thought this must be fun but no, it’s terrible. at first it just told me to do silly things like say woo hoo and scream at a ship, but then it made me sing a song that I didn’t even know the lyrics to but how am I supposed to sing a song I don’t even know the lyrics to and yes, I know it gives me the lyrics but still I didn’t know I didn’t have it memorized so and it’s difficult to do that and go through this whole process getting my voice thingy and then it makes you pay to get a song. there aren’t even non-premium songs like every single song is a premium song that’s so stupid. A good idea but quite a few notes..Hi, I know the chances are low, but if you’re a dev reading this, there’s a few things that I both really don’t understand, and really find annoying; 1. For some reason, I can only do tutorial songs. Literally everything else says it requires premium, an I mean EVERYTHING. Every single song I click on says it requires premium, continuing practice requires premium, and I can’t even unlock a part of the app, because I need to sing two songs to unlock, but I can’t do that since all the songs require premium. I’ve seen other reviews saying that there are no subscriptions for this so I’m assuming premium is a relatively new thing but I just don’t get it. If you really need money that badly, just make the app itself cost money. That would honestly make more sense to me than doing this. 2. Don’t buy into it, this app is a lieThis app seems like a wonderful idea on paper, but in execution, it’s all a farce. If you want an example, look no further than it’s signature feature - being able to identify voice-types. From what I can tell, it literally only ever identifies masculine vocals as “basses” and feminine vocals as “altos”. I’ve literally never seen it identify any other types. I’m a baritone-tenor. My range is dead in the middle between those two. And for a masculine vocal, my voice is a little higher than most, and I tend to sing more comfortably on higher notes than lower. I am not a bass on any level, nor do I even sound like a bass even a little bit. Guess which vocal type the app says I am? I’ll give you a hint, it’s neither one of the two I actually am. It doesn’t matter if I speak or sing into the microphone, it never changes the voice type. Not that it matters anyways, because it explicitly tells you to speak into the microphone to identify your voice type ( instead of singing ), which seems ridiculous when you consider that how a person speaks and sings can often sound very different. Hilariously, this seems to reflect in the products’ commercials too, as it bold-face misidentifies the vocal ranges of singers in the commercials. There’s this one guy who appears in a lot of them who is CLEARLY a baritone, but of course, the app decides he’s a bass. Clearly, either the app is either too inept to be genuinely useful to anyone, or is just a straight-up lie. Good for breathing techniques, terrible for trained singersI am a classically trained singer, to start, with years of voice lessons and musical theater behind me. And I found it VERY difficult to sing along to the songs in this app. The background music and vocals and “key changes to suit your range” are just all sorts of wrong. They threw me off pitch and sharp/flat more often than not. There is also no room for vibrato when singing. Tbh, I find it easier to sing along with the karaoke apps- at least the background music is on pitch and in tune. However… the lessons on breathing and voice control are very helpful, as it’s important to sing from your diaphragm for projection and range. I gave up before seeing if they have lessons on head vs chest voice. It also seems like the app classifies *everyone* as an alto. I know, for a fact, I am a Mezzo Soprano, so dropping me in to an alto caused me to have to manually adjust everything, which didn’t help matters with the background. I have an 8 octave range, but singing with this was difficult, and being labeled an “alto” dropped me into notes I couldn’t hit. I downloaded this as my voice and breathing are out of practice, and I wanted to sharpen them, and perhaps start auditioning again. But I’ll stick with a trained, in person, vocal coach. Decent if you know nothing about singing and need a jumping off point, especially where breathing is concerned. But I don’t recommend for trained singers, unless you want to question everything you ever thought about your voice. Lastly… I really wish there was a trial before being charged $120. Umm…So I got this app and all was good. I was having a lot of fun! Things took a quick turn. So I sang TWO songs.. riptide, and perfect. THATS IT. Getting sorted into my proper singing range is insanely annoying (haven't managed yet)I tried tenor but I found it was too high. I sang baritone in high school and probably am today. If you like karaoke? (Otherwise no)This doesn’t really teach you how to sing. There are no warm-ups, it doesn’t teach you correct posture, breathing or how to even properly sing without straining or hurting your voice. I was hoping this would really help me “up my game” so to speak and be a good replacement for singing teachers that I had several years before Covid… this doesn’t even come halfway. Yes, it’s fun, but that’s about it. It changes your singing range based on your talking voice, which I feel is highly inaccurate. Good concept, poor executionI’m not a professional singer, but I sing in choir and have an understanding of basic music theory, so I wasn’t really interested in this app for the “lessons,” I was mainly interested in it for the ability to change the song key to fit your voice (something I sorely wish Smule, the main karaoke/singing app I use, had). The main thing I don’t like is that you HAVE to let the app choose your range for you. I know my exact range, but instead of letting me manually input it, it made me do a bunch of arbitrary vocal exercises that don’t really show my actual range. I have a three octave range, and the app told me I was a mezzo, which…I kinda am, but not in the sense of this app since in the first test song it gave me after selecting my range, it lowered the key despite the original key being completely within my range. I went to see if I could manually change my range to soprano, but it doesn’t let you change it without doing the dumb exercises again. Heads up devs, my speaking voice is not a good indicator of my range. I have a pretty low speaking voice but can hit up to a D6 when I sing. I understand having the app do the vocal range determination and key adjustment automatically is helpful for people who are learning how to sing and maybe don’t know what their range is, but for more advanced singers I think there should be an option to manually adjust the key for each song OR at least enter in your range if you know it and then let the app adjust the songs from there. I didn’t like the appI dowloaded this app so i could work on my singing and do what I love. This app pisses me offAnd it makes me too mad to sing. I don’t have the wired earphones they show in all the ads and they are 1000% necessary for this. Otherwise, it picks up its own music instead of your voice no matter how quiet the music is and how loud you are trying to scream-sing into the microphone. I have AirPods and I even tried using one to listen to the music so it wouldn’t pick it up and using the other in my hand like a microphone right near my mouth and it thought I wasn’t singing at all. I’ve been told my whole life that I was a soprano, but this app told me I was an alto and every single song pops up with the lowest part WAY out of my range. It keeps changing my age for some reason too? Not sure it matters, but it changes that and my icon for whatever reason. There isn’t a way to really truly adjust the vocalist level on the track either - there’s 3 levels: no vocals, regular vocals, and burst your ear drums so you can’t hear anything else ever vocals. Requires a subscriptionUpon opening this app it has a nice introduction and explains everything nicely. However when you get past the introduction to try any of the songs or work on your vocals it requires a subscription. You get 2 picks either $15 a month or $60 a year to use this app. So any reviews stating you don’t need a subscription is flat out false and were probably paid to do the review or is a fake review. I have had vocal lessons by professionals and I sing in a choir so I have experience and know my range. I can sing any note from as high as a soprano to as low as bass. You get to learn what range you are for free which is nice. I was able to test this feature out since I can hit any note. They are spot on with pointing out what range you are. However the way this app helps you when signing these songs can throw you off due to the count down and the timing is wrong which can cause many people to not hit all of the notes. However if I’m paying for a vocal lesson I’d rather show up in person then relying on AI who is not on beat or rhythm to help me. Great idea but it still needs development. They have videos games you can buy on the Wii U that does a better job this this app and cost less..Honey_bun3Version: 2.0.9

App doesn’t seem to workI’m an experienced singer who recently lost his vocal coach so I decided to try this app just to stay on my discipline. I’ve been playing around with it, admittedly for only about an hour, but it makes you pay after the intro and it is not worth the money. I can see how it would have useful tips, but when singing the songs it often just doesn’t work. The first issue was at the very start when it tried to identify my vocal range and said I was a tenor. I have been a bass for my entire life and could not sing tenor even if I wanted to. The live feedback is not consistent and has even said I’m not singing when my voice is very clearly on. I’m not sure if it just has trouble with low voices or if it can’t tell what’s going on because I’m getting over a cold but I would seriously not recommend giving this app your money. EDIT: I came back to this app a few days later to try to test it out some more. Then I stopped singing for a little bit just to see what the app would do if there was no voice coming through. It kept marking notes as too high or too low or as correct at random. This app seriously doesn’t work and if I could lower my rating to 0 stars I would..Cool guy253Version: 1.13.12
